It feels like people were wanting the trust exercises in Critical Role c3 E79 and E80 to be research-supported therapy from a licensed practitioner where they all work together to get a good grade in therapy, a thing that's normal to want and possible to achieve.
Not A HAG fucking with them per her nature feeding off juicy drama and cringe who wants to shake them around until all their secrets come out for her to watch and realize that they're so scared of failure they're locking into the sort of inaction that will actually make them fail. (I love Nana Mori. She was exactly the sort of fucked up punk rock street wise woman they needed.)
It's BORING if they just talk about all their problems. It's BORING if they just jump to trusting each other (when the exercise was started that they can't trust each other). It's BORING if they're like "actually that power that's been set in front of me could possibly have a bad effect so I'm just going to keep ignoring it. It's BORING to be safe. Go back to your coffee shop AUs if you want everything to be soft and safe. That's not the point of the source material.
The CR cast have REPEATEDLY said they have more fun pushing the big red button than playing it safe because you spend all of real life trying to avoid the consequences of risky decisions and it's FUN to get to explore what can go wrong.
Bell's Hells succeeded because they concluded they are in a moment were inaction and hesitation will get everyone killed and they just need to push all the big red buttons and take the risks because it's now or never. They need to check in enough to keep each other in line, but they also need to imagine a scenario where none of them are traitors. (Like they had to restrain FCG from murder-bot mode, but they risked getting to murder-bot mode because the benefit outweighed the personal risk.)
This party is not OSHA approved. They literally couldn't do the job if they were. People like Allura and Keyleth are relying on them to take monumentally stupid risks while holding on by their fingernails so that other people can be safe.
Fearne came to the conclusion that she wasn't taking the shard because she was afraid of Dark!Fearne. But her friends will pull her out of that if she drifts. She also wasn't taking it because she thought Ashton was supposed to have it and that didn't work out well. If she'd put her hoof down her friends would probably have accepted her decision even if they disagreed with it. (It's actually like normal and healthy to disagree with your friends choices and not yes-man them all the time.) But she decided with her own free will that she was just being scared and actually she did want to try. (But also if they hadn't gone through the shard hurting and rejecting Ashton, Fearne might have thought her taking damage meant she wasn't supposed to have it, not just part of the trial of absorbing it.)
There's no binary where pressuring your friends is always bad. Sometimes your friends pressure you into doing things they believe will benefit you that you're reluctant to do and then you do it and are like "no actually that was the right call and I needed that." Or you conclude "No actually that was bad and I wish I didn't listen." There's actually no way to know ahead of time. My relationship with one of my best friends of like 20 years consists heavily of us battling each other's depression by pressuring each other into things we don't want to do but need to and that's healthy for us. But also other people in our lives pressured us into things we didn't want to do and should not have done and it turned out bad. It turns out that life is made up of shades of grey and not hard and fast rules. There's no way of knowing if you're fucking up ahead of time.
Imogen admitted in the Truth or Die session that she was upset that Fearne didn't take the shard. She probably would not have told Fearne that in normal circumstances. And she was probably feeling that way because part of her was upset at herself for not giving into the Predothos powers. Admitting that to Fearne gave her the courage to talk about the possibility of doing that. Which like, could be a terrible idea. But also this is a D&D game with predetermined character class powers that grow as you level and there has to be an in-game justification for getting powers like Revelation in Flesh at 14th level. Like, either she leans into these powers or they're forced on her or she stops leveling and goes home. Leaning in is way more fun. Don't you want to see what batshit thing Matt has planned for that? That's FUN. Ignoring the dark powers is boring.
Like first and foremost this is A GAME that involves yes-anding and taking risks. It's about characters who have spent their entire lives burying and ignoring their problems and getting worse because of it. It isn't REAL for them to have one revelation and be like, "Whelp I'm fixed now and will fall into none of my old patterns and just bare my soul to everyone forever now." People aren't actually like that and if that's what they need to do to be measurably better for you you'll have a lifetime of disappointments. This is an adult story for adults about how adults really behave.
Anyway I can't wait for them to schlep all their baggage and new fucked up powers to the moon with them where they're make irresponsible decisions based on a martyr complex while their friends yell at them to stop being stupid and selfish and let them help. It's going to be a disaster but hopefully they snatch victory from the jaws of defeat (or defeat from the jaws of victory) and tell an entertaining story about the fuckups who tried to stop the next Calamity. Maybe they will and they get to be heroes. Maybe it comes at a terrible cost. Maybe they totally fuck it up and it's a Ring of Brass situation. But it'll be FUN.

Falling For the Devil [Part thirty-eight: "The Black Suit"]
Pairing: Matt Murdock x Fem!Reader
Summary: You finish up work at The Bulletin late, but Matt still asks you to come over while he's out as Daredevil and wait for him to return home.
Or
You forgot the red suit was being repaired, and that black suit really does something to you–which has Matt very much intrigued.
[Series of one-shots about Reader meeting, falling for, and dating Matt Murdock.]
Warnings: 18+ for this series; contains humor, fluff, romance, angst, smut (like...a lot of it later in the series), language, some violence
Word Count: 5.4k
a/n: Another smupdate--this time featuring Reader very much appreciating the black suit. Because why the hell would there not be black suit Matt smut in FFTD? This is offically the halfway point (so far) of all the installments currently published on AO3! You can find the entire list of installments for this series on tumblr here. And if you're enjoying the series, let me know!
Tumblr media
Staring at the laptop screen before you, the article you were working on for The Bulletin was finally written. You'd been working on it for the past couple of hours since you'd been at Matt’s and had been working on finishing editing it now. Though you'd been constantly distracted by how weird it felt being at Matt's by yourself tonight.
He had given you a key to his place not too long ago, wanting you to start making yourself feel comfortable and at home here so you could hopefully transition to living here with him in the spring when your lease was up. And honestly, you appreciated the fact that he wasn't rushing you with this and instead letting you both take some time to adjust before jumping into it. You'd be lying if you said you hadn't been already overthinking absolutely everything you possibly could about being in the same space with him all the time–hell, you'd be disposing all of your used period products at his place then. And if you got sick he'd hear and smell you throwing up in the bathroom. You cringed at the thought. Shaking your head, you tried to focus back on editing the article and not letting your mind spiral on everything Matt would inevitably become aware of with you living with him.
Though that weird feeling of being here alone still sat with you. You'd gotten off work late at The Bulletin and Matt had told you he was already going out to do his Daredevil thing but he'd wanted you to come over anyway. To be here when he came home. Tonight was the first time you’d actually needed to use the key, letting yourself in while he was already out.
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. Maybe you just needed a break. The article was ahead of deadline anyway. You could just relax and watch something on your laptop until Matt came back. You'd thankfully convinced him the other night not to buy a television just for you, since he would never watch it and you already had one. You'd insisted you would just watch shows on your laptop when you were here.
Saving your progress on your article, and triple checking that it was saved, you exited out of the program. You were about to open Netflix on your laptop, but the door to Matt's roof access opened with a loud creak and you jumped on the couch, throwing a hand over your startled heart.
"Sorry," Matt's deep voice apologized quickly. "Didn't mean to scare you."
"I just wasn't expecting–" you said, closing your laptop and turning towards him on the landing. Your breath caught in your throat, your sentence briefly hanging in the air. He wasn't dressed as Daredevil–you'd forgotten how he was still getting the suit fixed from when he'd had the helmet smashed in the other night–he was dressed in the all black suit you had personally never seen on him. Swallowing hard, your heart still racing as he began descending the steps, you finished your sentence with a breathy, "You."
His masked head tilted curiously to the side as he made his way down the stairs. "Didn't scare you that bad, did I? Your heart is still racing," he pointed out.
"I–uh, no," you said nervously, your eyes instantly dropping from his mouth to the perfectly defined abdominal muscles the black fabric was somehow making look even more defined with the way it clung to him like a second skin. "I just–just uh, forgot that you–you weren't wearing the other suit tonight," you stammered as he reached the bottom of the steps, feeling your cheeks heat up as your eyes dropped to how thick his thighs looked in those tight, dark pants.
He paused a few feet from the bottom of the stairs, his attention fixed on you sitting on the couch. His figure looked intimidating, dangerous, and incredibly muscular in the black suit as he towered above you across the room. Your bottom lip slipped between your teeth as your gaze continued to linger on his body, actively roving every inch of him so intensely you were sure he had to be able to feel it. You forced yourself to try and calm your breathing and your heart as you did, both beginning to get wildly out of your control. For some reason you desperately had the urge to tear that black shirt off of him with your nails and bite every bit of flesh you could get your teeth on.
Which certainly was not like you.
"You know," he said slowly, drawing you back to the present and causing your attention to focus on his lips beneath the mask as he spoke, "before I came in here you were pretty calm. Tired, even. And now I come back," he continued, his masked gaze gradually surveying you from top to bottom, the gesture raising goosebumps along your arms, "and your heart is beating pretty fast. Your breathing has significantly picked up."
His mouth curled into a smirk under the mask and your thighs pressed together on the couch at the sight, fighting the urge to squirm under his covered gaze. You watched his tongue very slowly appear between those plump lips, his smirk growing even more when it had disappeared back into his mouth. Embarrassment mixed with your increasing arousal. He knew. He fucking knew how your body was reacting to him right now and he was enjoying it.
"You like this, don't you?" he mused, a gloved hand gesturing to his suit.
Your mouth opened and closed a few times, heat burning your cheeks. How the hell was a handful of clothing items doing this to you? Working you up into a frenzy?
He took a few step towards you and your heart stuttered in your chest, thighs clenching tighter. He hadn't done a damn thing and already you felt yourself getting wet at just the sight of him.
"Answer me, sweetheart," he demanded–the Devil’s voice, not Matt’s, you noted.
"Yes," you breathed out.
He chuckled lightly, shaking his head as he crossed his arms over his chest. You internally mourned the obstruction of half of his torso, but the position allowed for a better view of his thick arms. Desperately you wanted those arms pinning you down to the bed. Or a wall. Fuck, anywhere really.
"Why?" he asked curiously.
"I don't know," you whispered back.
He took another step towards you, the smirk still on his mouth beneath the black fabric. "Lie," he called out, tone teasing.
Licking your lips nervously, your hips shifted on the couch. Your cunt was aching and desperate for attention right now. He was toying with you on purpose, you knew that.
“I’ve–I’ve never seen you in the black suit,” you finally admitted shyly. “I’ve only seen pictures of it. On the news. Before I–I knew you.”
He took another step closer to the couch in those black boots. You could feel your own pulse hammering in your throat at the almost predatory way he was slowly stalking towards you in that goddamn black suit.
“And you liked what you saw, hmm?” he asked, voice low.
“The uh, grainy photos certainly didn’t quite do you justice,” you muttered breathily, eyes glancing back down at his abs again.
Another step closer, the smirk still lingering along that perfect mouth of his. “I haven’t even touched you, sweetheart, and you’re positively wet already. You like this that much?” he questioned.
Hands fisting the material of the sweatpants you’d changed into after arriving at his apartment, you nodded slowly. “Yes,” you answered.
A pleased hum rumbled in his throat as he took another step closer, now standing almost beside the coffee table in front of you. “You want me to fuck you in this?” he asked next.
Something like a hot spark shot through your entire body, raising the hairs along your arms. You definitely, definitely wanted him to. But would he?
“Yes,” you whispered instantly.
The smirk on his mouth changed, shifting into something sinful and devilish at your response. He uncrossed his arms, waving you over with a gloved hand. “Come here,” he urged.
Nervously you rose from the couch, knees shaking slightly as you carefully approached him. You came to a stop right in front of him, bare feet just in front of his booted ones. One of those gloved hands came out, gently landing on your hip. Your skin felt like it was on fire underneath the layers of fabric between the skin of your hip and his hand.
“Before I fuck you,” he began, pausing to enjoy the way you swallowed hard at his words, “I’ll let you take a moment to appreciate the outfit. Since I can tell just how much you like it."
“What?” you asked, eyes narrowing.
His hand moved fast, darting out to grab your wrist before placing your palm on his chest. You could feel the solid muscle just beneath the thin, smooth fabric of his black shirt. Gradually he dragged your hand down the front of him, his hand still encircling your wrist. You could feel every dip and crevice between each individual muscle along his torso until he stopped your hand just above the belt looped through his dark pants.
“Go on,” he urged, smirk returning to his mouth as he released your wrist. “Touch me. I know you want to.”
He stood there before you, head tilted to the side as he studied you beneath the mask. His arms returned to his sides as your hand still rested low on his abdomen, just above his belt. Your breath was coming in even faster now, almost shaky with each inhale and exhale.
Hesitantly, your fingers glided back up over his abs, appreciating the firmness beneath them. Your left hand carefully came up to rest just over the firm right pectoral muscle of his chest. Risking a glance up, you could hear the sharp exhalations coming from Matt. The smirk was gone though, replaced with something almost feral and wild as he held himself back from you. Hands shaking, both of them gradually made their way up towards his broad shoulders.
Every part of his body felt so unbelievably solid and powerful. Not that you didn't already know how tone he was underneath everything he wore, but all that muscle wrapped in that clinging, black fabric, which had frightened and threatened countless dangerous criminals, as he just stood here before you motionless and willing was fucking exhilarating.
Your hands slid up his warm neck, cradling his face in between your palms before roughly pulling his mouth towards yours. He kissed you back with a level of restraint that you certainly couldn't miss with the noises building in his throat and the tension growing in his body. When you broke away from his mouth, you heard the grunt of protest from him, but he remained still and patient as your hands slid over him while you moved around behind him.
You hadn't even seen the back of him yet, and your eyes adoringly raked over every inch of his muscled back visible along the expansive plane of his body. Immediately your focus dropped down–those grainy photos didn't remotely do his ass justice in these pants. Gradually your hands made their way down his back, a few of his muscles jerking under your touch as they went.
Your hands paused at the top of the waistband of his pants. Your eyes were still very much focused on his ass that you knew was so round and firm and perfect beneath that fabric. Matt's head shifted over his right shoulder looking back at you with a grin.
"Go on, I know you want to," he teased.
Both hands quickly dropped down, landing on his ass over the dark pants. For a brief moment you paused, appreciating the fact that you were grabbing The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen's ass over those same dark pants that Katy had zoomed in on in the old photos of Daredevil's early days so many times before. Biting your tongue, you decided to take a risk and do something you'd imagined a few times too many before you'd even met Matt and had learned who the man in black really was. Your right hand released its hold, drawing back just a bit before you swung it forward, landing a solid but fairly gentle smack on his ass. Matt startled slightly for a moment before he glanced back over his shoulder, emitting what sounded like a playful growl.
"You enjoying yourself back there?" he asked, tone amused.
You couldn't fight the little grin on your mouth. You were, in fact, very much enjoying yourself.
"Quite possibly," you teased back.
A chuckle rumbled in his throat. "You need more time back there or can I move this forward, sweetheart?" he asked.
Your pulse quickened again at the thought of fucking him in the black suit. You hadn't even fucked him in the Daredevil suit before, though you'd certainly imagined it. And definitely would be imagining it more after tonight…
"And what do you have in mind?" you questioned him curiously.
He spun towards you the moment you'd asked your question. You trembled a little at the masked face that somehow was still hungrily staring back at you behind the black fabric. Without responding, he lunged at you, taking you by surprise before his mouth was on yours. His gloved hands grabbed you hard by the hips as he tugged you into his body so tight you could feel his own arousal pressing into you. He was kissing you feverishly in a flurry of tongue and teeth, his mouth only riling you up further.
You were moaning back into his mouth, far past your usual level of arousal with Matt because of the damn suit as your fingers dug into his back, when you felt his hands moving down your body. Swiftly he grabbed you just under your ass and pulled you up onto himself. Releasing his mouth, you gasped out in surprise as your arms quickly wrapped around his firm shoulders to steady yourself. He was nipping at your neck as he began carrying you, and as you felt more wet heat dampening your underwear, you expected him to bring you to the bedroom.
Instead you realized he was carrying you to his kitchen. Your brows furrowed in confusion, enjoying the amazing feel of his mouth on your neck but wondering if he'd somehow gotten himself turned around. Until he very intentionally plopped you onto the kitchen counter before him, his two thick arms boxing your hips in from where they were positioned on either side of the counter. He leaned forward, lowering himself so his masked face was level with yours, mere inches from you. Your hips squirmed needily along the counter. He was toying with you again, you could feel it.
"I take it you've thought about fucking me long before you knew who I was," he murmured, the sound of the Devil’s voice sending a shudder down your spine.
"Mhmm," you hummed back.
You were dying for him to touch you already.
His jaw clenched tight at your admission, his head rolling back a bit as if that alone had turned him on. And then he was focusing back on you again, that dark smirk on his mouth–exactly where your gaze was currently focused.
"Naughty girl, thinking about fucking the Devil," he ground out.
He was going to kill you with anticipation.
" Matt ," you whined.
"Hey," he countered, that sly smirk still on his mouth, "you had your fun, sweetheart. Enjoying the suit. Now I'd like to take a minute to appreciate the fact that you wanted me , like this, long before you knew me." One of his gloved hands appeared between your legs, his fingers gently resting on your clothed cunt. "You ever get off to me before?" he questioned curiously.
"What?" you asked, eyes widening.
"You know what I mean, sweetheart," he murmured back, his fingers adding a bit of pressure along your sweatpants. "Answer the question."
You whimpered in response to the light touch over where you desperately needed him. Fuck you needed more than that.
 "Yes," you answered softly.
There was a pleased hum that vibrated in his throat. "And what did you think about?" he pushed.
Immediately your cheeks flamed at the question. That seemed quite personal.
"Matt, what're you–"
"Did you think about the man in the mask saving you in an alley?" he mused. "And then you'd thank him by letting him have you against a brick wall?" His fingers very slowly rubbed against you and a moan slipped out of you. "Or did you think about me climbing into your window late at night? Fucking you so hard into your mattress?"
"I–" you began, feeling shy as he waited for a response. But his fingers were rubbing harder over your sweatpants and you hoped an answer would get you more. "I thought about you breaking into my apartment," you breathed out. "Running into you when I–I came home from work." He made a noise in response like he wanted you to continue. Your heart sped up at what you were about to admit. "And you'd…eat me out on the kitchen table before fucking me over it."
"Oh sweetheart," he nearly purred, his fingers stopping and causing you to whine in protest. "I can most certainly taste that beautiful pussy, but I’m going to fuck you on our kitchen counter until you're a mess." He removed his hands from you, pulling the gloves off and throwing them aside.
You most certainly hadn’t missed the way he’d said ‘our,’ but you were currently more interested in the fact that his hands were tugging at your underwear and sweatpants, yanking them roughly down your legs at the same time. Your own hands grabbed the hem of your shirt and pulled it up quickly over your head before you began unclasping your bra.
The moment you saw his hands about to slide the mask off his face, you blurted, “Leave it on.”
His hands paused at the edge of the fabric, a slight huff of amusement falling from him. “If you insist,” he replied, voice deep as his hands came to rest on your bare thighs.
“Are you done teasing me now, baby?” you whispered, staring at the black material obscuring half his face.
His lips curled upward at the corner, that almost feral expression returning. One of his fingers dove straight into your cunt and you sharply gasped in surprise before the noise broke on a sound of pleasure.
“So impatient for me,” he mused, his finger pumping into you.
“Baby, please,” you breathily begged.
“You like calling the Devil that?” he asked, slowly dropping down between your legs.
You eyed him below you with an unwavering gaze of your own, his mouth just hovering before your cunt. His warm breath was brushing over your skin, the sensation mingled with his finger still thrusting into you deliciously pleasant.
“I think you like it when I call you that,” you shot back.
Taken aback, his finger actually stopped its motion inside of you. Slowly, his masked face shifted up towards yours, gazing back up at you between your thighs. He was genuinely smiling up at you.
“You're damn right, I do," he agreed, tone gravelly. "And for being so open with me tonight, sweetie, I’m going to give you exactly what you want."
He didn’t even give you a chance to respond before his mouth was on you, a second finger slipping inside of you. Your head fell back over your shoulders, both of your hands sliding back a bit behind you on the counter as his tongue wholeheartedly lapped at your clit. After the building anticipation, your body had been yearning for attention. But despite how amazing it felt, you forced your head back up, your eyes landing on the sight before you.
The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen was between your thighs as you sat on the kitchen counter, black mask covering half his face as he practically devoured you, two thick fingers thrusting into you with a vigorous pace. His grunting and the occasional sound as he sucked your clit mixed with the wet sounds of his fingers pumping into your very wet cunt in the kitchen. One of your hands darted out, gripping the material of the back of his mask between your fingers. A deep noise rumbled up out of him and vibrated along your clit. The sensation had your legs shaking.
“Shit, Matty,” you whimpered, grip tightening on the mask.
With a loud grunt, his fingers slid out of you. A moment later his hands were throwing your legs over his shoulders before he roughly yanked you further towards him. You fell back onto your elbows watching as his left hand came up to rest on your stomach as his fingers took over working your clit. His mouth lowered, his tongue mercilessly fucking into you over and over.
"Fuck," you whimpered, eyes focused on him between your thighs.
Your vision felt like it was blurring, your breath coming in sharp pants as Matt's tongue continued to drive you wild. But as your body shook along the counter, growing closer to your climax, you wanted more of him. You wanted him to fuck you, wanted to feel him inside of you.
You wanted him to let the Devil loose on you.
"Matty, I need you," you begged.
His mouth came off of you immediately at your words, though he slipped two fingers back inside of you. You watched him lick his lips as if he was savoring the taste of you on them. The sight had you fighting your eyes from rolling back.
“How does it feel, sweetheart,” he purred, pausing as he turned and placed a sharp bite to your inner thigh that had you hissing out, “to be the only one who’s had the Devil?”
Surprise briefly washed over you as his fingers kept their pace, his tongue soothing where he had just bitten. "I–I am?" you asked, legs still trembling.
He grinned at you, his head nodding briefly. "Yes, sweetheart. So how does it feel to finally have me?"
“So good, baby,” you breathed out, gasping when he bit down on your thigh again. "But I–I want all of you."
His lip curled back as he released your thigh from his teeth and slid his fingers from your cunt. Carefully he lowered your legs from his shoulders, rising to his feet as his hands helped you further back onto the counter. You whined in frustration at the loss of him inside of you, Matt only chuckling in return. And then he raised the two fingers he'd had inside of you to his mouth and obscenely licked your arousal from them. Your eyes were glued to the view before you, cunt clenching around nothing as you watched. There was no denying that the black suit did something to you.
When he lowered his hand, both of them landed on his belt buckle. Casually he undid it, the clinking sound of the metal exceptionally loud in his otherwise silent apartment. You swallowed hard, goosebumps raising along your naked skin as you watched him unzip his pants next.
“So when you imagined me fucking you,” he said, breaking the silence, “was I gentle?”
Your focus was on his cock as he slowly slipped his pants and boxers just partway down his legs. He really was going to fuck you in the entire outfit.
“No,” you whispered.
“And do you want me to be?” he asked next.
Your gaze shifted, making its way up to where you imagined his own eyes were behind the mask. Most likely they were focused somewhere along your chest listening for the truth to your words.
“No,” you answered.
Hands landing roughly down on your thighs, he shoved them apart before he pulled you forward to the edge of the counter towards him again. A faint noise of surprise left you before his mouth was on yours, kissing you fiercely. You could taste yourself on him as his tongue eagerly fought its way into your mouth. Your legs wrapped around his hips and bare ass as your hands landed on his back, fingers digging into the solid muscle under that thin shirt. A moment later you felt his cock at your slickened entrance, and then he was sliding all the way in without pause for the first time.
Your mouth broke away from his as a strangled moan flew out of it, your forehead falling forward against his chest. Before he could even ask, you muttered, “Keep going.”
Obliging, Matt didn’t give you a moment to adjust to him as he always had before. Instead he began thrusting into you over and over, his hips rapidly picking up their pace. Your nails dug into him next, clawing at his back through the black shirt as you held on to him. There would be nothing slow and gentle about the way he fucked you this time.
The sounds of his grunts with each pump of his hips fell right into your ears. You shifted your face so you could look up at him, but all you could see beneath the mask were his lips pulled back over his gritted teeth. Your own hips did their best to meet his at the awkward angle, but his were almost vicious in their motions, slamming himself into you over and over. That warm wash of your climax was gradually building to a peak again, easily brought on by the visual of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen actually fucking you and not just a fantasy you’d had in the past.
“You’re enjoying this,” he ground out as his pace picked up. “I can tell. You’re already so close.”
You nodded against his chest, whimpering out an affirmative noise that wasn’t quite a word. His hands slid a bit further back along your thighs, coming to grip your ass. He tugged you in even closer towards him as his hips abruptly sped up, Matt practically assaulting you with his cock. You cried out in a satisfied surprise, burying your face into his shoulder. The sound of skin on skin echoed through the apartment as that mouthwatering familiar sting hit you each time he bottomed out with his thrusts.
His cock like this felt so good that you’d suddenly readjusted just a fraction along his broad shoulder and bit down on the firm muscle below you to keep from filling his apartment with your screams. A deep, rumbling growl fell out of Matt in response to your teeth. That sound drew your peak nearer, so you released him, shifting your mouth a fraction, and bit down again. The noise that came out of him next–a beautiful deep, low groan that he'd never made before–threw you right over and you felt your body beginning to tremble against Matt’s.
“Yes,” he breathed out, encouraging you in that dark voice of the Devil as he continued to grunt roughly with each sharp thrust of his hips. “That’s it, sweetheart.”
Nails digging into his lower back, your teeth still clamped on his shoulder, you reached your orgasm. Your eyes snapped shut as a shuddering moan drew itself out of you, your legs tightening around Matt. That pleasant wash of pleasure raced throughout your body as you came, still clinging to Matt as he continued to fuck you.
It was a few moments before your mind felt like it came back to you, Matt keeping his pace. You released his shoulder from your teeth, raising your head to look up at Matt. His lips were pulled back in something like a ferocious snarl as he focused on you.
“You close, baby?” you asked.
“Yes,” he grunted out, pace unwavering.
You lowered your mouth, focusing on lapping at the skin of his neck and reveling in the feel of the satisfied vibration coming from under your tongue along his throat. Curious, you gently bit down on his pulse point–the sensitive place on his throat that you knew always drew interesting reactions. Matt's hips suddenly jerked sharply into you in response as you did. Your mouth curled into a smile against his skin, tongue darting out to lick the spot you’d bit.
“Fuck, sweetheart,” he groaned.
You bit him again, a little harder, in the same spot. A string of curses flew out of his mouth as his hips began to stutter. He was right there, you could feel him teetering on the edge. Releasing his skin from your mouth, you maneuvered yourself beside his ear, so close your lips brushed his skin when you spoke.
"You feel so good," you whispered into his ear. "You make me feel so good, Matthew."
Matt actually growled in response, goosebumps raising along your arms at the sound.
“Cum for me, Devil,” you ordered firmly.
“Shit,” he breathed out, voice strained.
His hips spasmed against yours a few moments later and then you felt him cumming inside of you, a growling moan tearing out of him as he did. You returned to his neck, sucking that particularly sensitive spot into your mouth as you helped to carry him through his release. He grunted roughly as his hips gave a few more thrusts before they stopped.
You placed a kiss to his neck before you sat upright. Matt was breathing heavily, head bowed forward towards you and shoulders heaving. Carefully you raised your hands up, slipping the mask up and off of his face. His eyes were half-lidded, quickly searching for you with the mask off. A sheen of sweat glistened along his forehead, his dark hair mussed from the mask.
You cupped his cheek with a hand, drawing his face towards yours. "Hey," you said quietly with a smile. "There you are, Matty."
He grinned a drowsy, blissed out smile back at you, his eyes landing on your left cheekbone. "Hey, sweetheart."
He exhaled a sharp breath before he pulled his cock out of you, settling you more fully back onto the counter. That's when you really noticed how sore your cunt was–you'd definitely be feeling this tomorrow.
"I can't believe all this time you had a thing for the man in the mask," Matt teased, breath still coming in short.
You blushed, running a hand across your forehead. "I can't believe I just fucked the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen," you responded, eyes briefly darting around you. " In a kitchen."
Matt barked out a laugh as he adjusted himself, pulling his dark pants and boxers back up but not zipping himself into the pants. "If I had known what this did to you, I'd have pulled it out sooner," he teased. "Maybe I'll have to get it out again."
Your heart sped up excitedly at the prospect of fucking him in the black suit again. Matt's gaze fell along your chest, a cheeky grin sliding on his face. He'd definitely caught that increase in your heart.
"I don't think my legs are going to hold me at this point," you said, sliding off the counter.
Matt's hands instinctively darted out to your hips, carefully steadying you when your feet hit the floor. Once you'd regained your balance, you felt more heat creeping up your neck, awkwardness washing over you.
"What's wrong?" he asked, head tilting to the side.
"Nothing," you said, shaking your head and laughing a little nervously. "Just uh, just awkward being the only one completely naked here."
Matt smiled before he bent down and grabbed your clothes from where they’d been tossed onto the floor. He handed them back to you and you muttered a quiet 'thanks' in response.
"You can always stay naked,” he suggested slyly. “And I'll join you in the bedroom just as naked after we get cleaned up.”
Biting your lip, you glanced back at the counter. It was definitely damp. “I should probably scrub your counter after that,” you said.
“Our counter,” Matt corrected firmly. Another cheeky grin slipped onto his face as he grabbed your hand. “And I can take care of it tomorrow morning. I won’t be eating on it anymore tonight.”
He sent you a suggestive wink and you couldn’t fight the giggle that rose up out of you. Your clothes balled in one hand, you followed Matt out of the kitchen and towards the bathroom, your eyes scanning over the back of him in the black suit. You weren’t sure if and when you’d see him in it again and you wanted to commit the real thing to memory over those grainy, blurry photos.

DAY 31 ━ J. POTTER, S. BLACK, R. LUPIN, L. EVANS, & M. MCKINNON
SYNOPSIS → in which you weren't meant to be studying.
WORD COUNT → 768 words
WARNINGS → not really smutty
Tumblr media
You were exhausted. Stupid exams.
You will be glad when your exams are over. You've been studying forever. And you hadn't even had your first exam.
You trudged up the lengthy stairs, your arms filled with text books, and your sack laid over your shoulder limply. Your tired eyes stared ahead, seeing everything but seeing nothing.
You felt a harsh bump to your shoulder, sending your sack and books onto the floor. "Shit," you whispered, immediately dropping to your knees. Overwhelmed tears flooded your eyes, on the edge of spilling.
You grunt, hardly able to push yourself up off the floor. It should be illegal to assign so much homework. Exams should be illegal.
It's like professors never want their students to sleep.
Once you finished climbing up the stairs leading to your dorm, - you had almost tipped back at least three times - you used your elbow to push open your door. A small sigh escaping your lips when you toss your things onto your bed.
The dorm was empty; the girls were spending the nice day outside. Your girlfriends - Marlene, and Lily - had told you that they - along with Mary, Alice and Dorcas - were going after classes.
You had probably two hours before they came back to get ready for dinner. That was enough time to get at least two assignments done.
Another sigh, and you were pulling your textbook, and quill towards you. You'll go from smallest to biggest. That way you might be able to get half of the assignments done.
"Stupid OWLS," you grumble.
You were bent over your paper, your quill clutched tightly in your hands. Ink was splotched on your hands, and every once in a while you had to stop writing so that your hand didn't cramp.
You were on your second assignment. Your first one - History of Magic - had taken longer than you had expected. Now you're on Transfiguration. This stupid essay is insane. What the hell is McGonagall thinking?
This is almost as bad as math.
You were so focused on your work, that you didn't notice the door opening.
"Shit, how the hell does that even work?" you mumble. "Transfiguration should not be this hard." You jumped nearly out of your skin when a hand landed on your shoulder, "Holy shit." You spun around, your hand flying to your chest. Lily looked down at you with her hands on her hips, her beautiful red hair pulled up in a tight bun. "Oh my god, don't scare me like that Lil's!"
"This is what you've been doing instead of meeting us at the Great Lake?" she asked, her voice stern.
"I had to study!" you defend yourself. You were in no mood for a punishment just because you didn't want to go outside. Sure, you had said you would meet them and your boyfriends down there, but you had really needed to get these assignments done. "I have like three more essays to do! I couldn't just go outside and ignore them! You know how I am, if I don't do it when I have time to, I won't do it at all. And we have OWLS, and I can't slack–"
"Woah," Marlene interrupted, placing her hands on your shoulders and pulling you back to rest against her chest. "Chill, m'love, you're fine."
You closed your eyes as Marls ran her fingers down your head, petting you. A small sigh left your lips and let yourself relax against her. You didn't pay any attention to anything else.
"What do we have here?" your boyfriend, Sirius Black, said his voice laced with amusement.
Your eyes shot open, and you jolted forward slightly. What is with these assholes scaring you?
In front of you, stood all of your boyfriends, and Lily. Each of them had their hands on their hips, all sporting scolding scowls. (Except for Sirius and James since they could never take anything seriously.)
"Our puppy," started Lily, "has been studying all day when she knows that we have a specific time set for that."
You lightly scoff, "What's wrong with studying?"
"Hey," snapped Remus, your eyes flying over to him, "Watch the attitude."
"What's wrong with it," said Lily, "is that you get overwhelmed with it easily, and don't do as well as usual."
Before you could say anything, Marlene used her grip on you to lock you into place as Lily crawled towards you. Lily grabbed your chin, and forced you to look up at her, "And I think that a pretty puppy like you shouldn't have to think at all."

𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 || dark!jan (the edukators/die fetten Jahre sind vorbei) x reader
𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗬 | in scoping out his next target, jan hadn't realised that you wouldn't be joining your family on their next vacation; in choosing to stay home, you hadn't realised what you were in for.
𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧 | 4.3k
𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 | smut (noncon, with fingering and penetrative sex), innocence kink, virginity loss/first time, brief exhibitionism, degradation, daddy kink, spitting (in mouth and on pussy), breaking and entering/home invasion, touch of misogyny kink, slight objectification kink (petnames like babydoll/dolly being 99% of this), slight bleeding (from sex specifically), death mention (no threats, just the fear of threats if that makes sense?)
𝗔/𝗡 | you don't need to have seen the movie to understand this fic, as long as you know that jan and his friends break into rich people's houses as part of their anti-capitalist rebellion. note that the vast majority of dialogue is written in english for simplicity, but that these conversations would actually take place fully in german.
this is a DARK fic, if you hit 'keep reading' I don't wanna hear you upset about content listed clearly in the warnings section
Tumblr media
It’s probably normal to hear a bump in the night, to wake up and be a little freaked out, but to ultimately just stay in bed and not do anything about it. At first you were sure you were sure it was nothing, though your gut told you otherwise; then, as you heard more and more you spent quite some time convincing yourself that it was just pipes creaking or the foundation settling. But the thing about pipes and foundations is they don’t speak German.
“Hier entlang, hier entlang,” someone whispered, and footsteps shifted all along the lower floor.
Maybe you were still asleep, and this was just a strange dream, a terrifying dream. You pulled the blanket up over your head and prayed to wake up, but the denial turned to terror when you heard footsteps coming up the stairs.
You jumped out of bed, but it was too late to go out your bedroom door— you could hear them walking and whispering outside. Your bathroom had a small window, but even if you managed to fit through it you’d be on the second story with no way to ropel down. Maybe in your mind you could be some daring adventurer with the perfect plan to escape, or with the skills to defend yourself with something random you could grab, but you knew better than to really think you could do anything but hide.
As the footsteps and voices got louder, your eyes frantically searched the room and finally landed on the large upright dresser— maybe it was a little obvious, but it had a handy little feature that made it lock from the inside. It had come in handy for a decade of hide-and-seek, and now it would hopefully serve you one last time.
With not a second to spare, you ran over and grabbed the golden handles, swinging the doors open but being careful to shut them quietly after you’d stepped inside and made room for yourself among the coats and dresses. You searched for the lock in the pitch darkness, only able to find it because it was right above the keyhole that glowed from the dim light outside. Just as you turned the knob and heard the metal lock slide inside the wooden door, you heard your bedroom door open.
Someone walked around your room briefly, you even heard them pick something up and set it down— probably your bedside lamp, based on where it was coming from, but you obviously couldn’t be sure and frankly didn’t care that much. Footsteps approached the dresser and you saw the keyhole light up as a flashlight passed over it.
“Let’s take all the clothes and put them in the fireplace,” a voice in the room announced. “We won’t actually light the fireplace, but it sends a message.”
You covered your mouth with your hand to try to keep quiet when the doors shook briefly from an attempt to open them.
“Fuck, it’s locked.”
“Here, you go on to the next room, I’ll pick it,” a second voice decided, and you heard more footsteps as someone else approached the armoire. “Look how fancy the dresser is, they’ve probably got furs in here too— god knows people living in a house like this can’t miss an opportunity to destroy the environment.”
You heard something jiggle inside the keyhole, a clicking noise that went on for just a few moments before you heard the metal slide inside the wood again and the doors slowly opened.
A man, dressed in black and holding a flashlight in his gloved hands, stared at you from behind a mask that left only his brown eyes visible. You both stood still, staring at each other, until he did exactly the last thing you expected: he lifted the mask up to his forehead and showed you his face.
He was a lot younger than you would’ve expected, though he had the scruffy beard of a guy trying to look older; his teeth were slightly crooked when he smiled at you, and when he raised a brow while he gave you a quick look-over, you noticed the way they almost connected in the middle.
Under his gaze, you suddenly felt very aware of how little your lacy, baby pink nightgown protected you from the chilling night air.
"Well, what's this?" he asked coyly as he watched you shiver. "Guess these capitalist pigs left one of their little piglets behind." He put on a cooing sort of voice as he addressed you directly: "Did mummy and daddy leave you all alone while they went on holiday?"
He stepped closer even as you tried to shrink away, examining you carefully.
“Get out of there, silly, what are you hiding for? I’m not gonna hurt you,” he assured, not that you found it especially comforting. When you didn’t step out of your own accord, he grabbed your arm and roughly yanked you forward; he slammed the dresser doors behind you, and you whimpered in fear as he pinned you down against them by each arm. "Shh, hey, don't worry— I'm here to take care of you, you can call me daddy instead until your heartless banker father gets back. Go ahead, tell me what's wrong."
"I—"
"Ah ah," he tutted with a mix of bemusement and disappointment, "I already told you how to address me."
You shuddered but finally responded, "Daddy, I'm scared."
He gave you a demeaning little pout, but you continued.
"Some men broke in and I'm alone and… and I don't know if they want to hurt me."
"No, baby, they don't want to hurt you," he promised with a gentle smile, but it turned horrifically sinister as he leaned in to add with a whisper: "but we will if we have to."
You swallowed thickly, your gut twisting when you felt him breathe out against your neck.
"So you're gonna be a good girl, right?"
You nodded quickly, turning away when he leaned in closer, looking down at you with darkened eyes and running the fingers of his black gloves over the neckline of your pyjamas.
“You were just waiting for me, huh? All tucked in in your cute little nightgown, dressed up like a doll,” he grinned. “I bet you want daddy to play with you, hm?”
He laughed cruelly when you shook your head, fighting harder to get away again as he squeezed your arms tight enough to leave marks where his fingers had been.
“Wanna play, little dolly?” he continued, pressing his body into yours and roughly shoving his leg between your thighs. “I know you do… c'mon and give me a kiss," he requested.
“N-no,” you stammered, but he grabbed your jaw in his gloved hand and forced you to look ahead, slamming his lips onto yours and ignoring your muffled protests. When he pinched your side you gasped instinctively, and he shoved his tongue inside your mouth roughly— but that only lasted for a moment, before you found renewed strength and managed to shove him back. It wasn’t far enough to free yourself, but enough to get a break from the oppressive kiss.
“Aw, don’t be mean,” he pouted, wiping his mouth with the back of his gloved hand. “You said you’d be good for me, remember?”
“Just stop, please,” you whined, gasping before you could stop yourself when he rubbed his thigh up against you— hitting right on your clit which throbbed in spite of everything. Somehow the fear made you more sensitive, or at least something had because you’d never felt quite like this before.
“See? You’re all worked up,” he explained, “I’m gonna help you.”
This time when he leaned in he started to kiss and suck at your neck instead, starting right beneath your ear and moving down slowly until his tongue laved over the crook where your shoulder began. As much as you hated it, it made arousal pulse between your legs where his thigh continued to push hard on you.
When he moved even closer, you could feel his erection against your hip; you didn’t even realise that you’d let out a gasp until you felt him smile against your neck. “Oh, babydoll… you want daddy’s cock inside you, I can tell.”
“N-no, I don’t— just stop,” you begged.
“If only it were so easy, to just ask someone to stop,” he mused. “You know how many times we asked people like your father to stop before they fucked us? You know how far that gets us? You don’t just get to ask nicely, you have to fight for it…”
He chuckled as you writhed in his embrace.
“But you’re too weak to fight, poor thing.”
"Please, I'm not a part of whatever you’re talking about,” you tried to explain, “I don't know much about what Papa does at work—"
"That's your problem, baby, you're blissfully ignorant! Not all of us have that luxury. But the good news is, I'm here to educate you." He pushed up even closer to you, speaking lowly right into your ear with rage starting to bubble up in his voice. "Your father is a piece of scum who feeds on the working class and then robs them blind. You live like this, unquestioningly, and the rest of Germany suffers. Stuck-up bitch like you wouldn't even notice me if you saw me on the street, would you? Wouldn't even give me the time of day, but now you're at my mercy. That’s what you people need to learn: that you’re not gonna be on top forever.”
Suddenly you felt his hand cup your sex through your nightgown, and you choked on your gasp. “No—!” you started to shout, but his right hand covered your mouth as the left hastily pulled your pyjamas up and reached under them.
“Stop fucking squirming,” he grunted as he reached between your kicking legs and slid quickly up your thigh. “Mm, bet you’re hiding a pretty little cunt under this nightgown— hold still, baby, you’re gonna like this.”
Finally maneuvring his way into your panties, he abruptly shoved two gloved fingers inside of you, watching closely as you scrunched your face up tight in discomfort. He thrusted and twisted them around for a bit, carelessly stretching you open as you tried desperately to squirm away; it stung a bit, and the leather of the gloves was cool and awkwardly firm against your walls. For some reason, when he dropped his free hand from your face, you didn’t try to scream again— maybe because you knew no one who cared could hear you— and you just panted heavily instead.
As quickly as he’d pushed them in he pulled them out, bringing the glove up to his mouth to take it off with his teeth with a little growl before rubbing his bare hand over your pussy again. You whimpered when he slid his fingers inside you again, this time feeling the texture of his skin as he curled the pads of his fingers right against your spot. “Yeah?” he mumbled his taunt around the leather between his teeth before spitting the glove out onto the floor. “Fuck, so warm… you’re so wet already, dolly, has nobody been giving this pussy any attention?”
He stopped moving his fingers inside you to pull out and give your clit a few slaps, licking his lips when you cried out from the sharp sensation.
“Huh?” he reminded you to answer when you never gave a response.
“N-no,” you shook your head, finally, and he smiled like he was proud of himself.
“Yeah? You’re not a virgin, are you?”
You only looked down at the floor, blinking a few times as you focused on the teal carpet, and heard him laugh darkly.
“Oh, dolly, I might break you,” he warned roughly as he pushed your gown up to your waist, ignoring your sobbed pleas for him to stop. “We don’t usually take anything from the people we visit, but if I take your virginity maybe your people will finally get the message.”
“Please— you don’t have to do that,” you stammered, rushing through whatever you could think of to make him change his mind, “I won’t tell anyone you were here. You can have whatever you want, if I call them they can send you money—”
“You aren’t even fucking listening to me, we don’t want your expensive bullshit and we don’t want your dirty fucking money!” he corrected sternly, clutching your sleeves tighter and shaking you slightly with the intensity of his movements. “We just want you to be afraid, because the revolution is coming.”
But you were afraid of something much more imminent than a revolution.
“Get on the fucking bed,” he demanded, though you couldn’t do much else considering he was already roughly tossing you onto it, climbing on top of you and pinning you down when you started to crawl back instinctively. With his legs resting on yours and keeping you (somewhat) still, he only needed one hand to grab your shoulders while the other rushed to open his jeans.
Your eyes got a little wide when you saw his cock— before that, it was almost like some part of you didn’t really think he’d go through with his, but now you could see clearly that he was hard and ready… and big enough to make you question how that thing was even supposed to fit inside you.
He tore through your panties like they were paper; he lifted and spread your legs as he sat between them and, much to your humiliation, just stared down at your pussy for a moment. You’d never felt so exposed and it made you feel worse than ever. “Knew you’d have a pretty cunt,” he announced smugly, “can’t wait to see it all stretched out and covered in my come— I’m gonna ruin you, babydoll.”
You weakly struggled as he held your hips down with one hand and haphazardly stroked his cock a few times with the other, rubbing himself over your opening before pulling his hips back to spit right onto your clit. After spreading the improvised lubrication around with his head for a moment, he pushed down on it with his thumb to line up with your hole and, without any further warning, slid inside in one motion.
You bit down on your lip hard, and even that wasn’t enough to distract you from the sting; it felt like he was ripping you open, not to mention going so deep that you could feel him in your stomach.
He groaned loudly, head falling back for a moment as he started to thrust into you. “Fuck, I can tell you’re a virgin— it must be hurting you, huh?”
But the question was a bit redundant, since tears had already begun to stream down your temples and your fingers were clutching tightly onto the sheets beneath you; if they were any less expensive, they probably would’ve ripped.
“Maybe a little pain will be good for you,” he decided with a smirk, “I think a spoiled brat like you has been spared the rod a few too many times.”
It was definitely more than a ‘little’ pain, and it only seemed to sting more each time he pulled back and pushed in again— he wasn’t going very fast, yet, so that was one thing you could almost be thankful for. That said, he wasn’t very gentle either.
He hastily reached up under your nightgown to grope your breasts, quickly moving from one to the other as he squeezed them just a bit too hard. “You like how daddy plays with your tits, don’t you?” he grunted. “Say, ‘yes daddy.’”
“Y-yes, daddy,” you mumbled awkwardly; maybe being embarrassed to say that was superfluous considering everything else happening right now, but your face got warmer regardless.
A whimper almost caught in your throat when he pinched your hardened nipples, but it broke through when he seemingly-randomly gave a spank to your inner thigh.
He looked down at where your bodies were joined, where he was stretching you out with steady pumps of his cock that filled you to the brim, before reaching up to quickly pull his black sweater off over his head— a t-shirt underneath came off with it as his chest was exposed. He wasn’t unreasonably pale but he clearly wasn’t the type to get a ton of sun, and he had a thin scattering of dirty-blonde hair over some of it. It was sort of embarrassing, now, seeing how thin he was and yet he was still so much stronger than you.
"You're getting so wet, babydoll, look— you're making a mess on these expensive sheets," he grinned. And he wasn't lying; the sting of the stretch had slowly faded, replaced with a friction you actually couldn't help but enjoy. Each time he moved, he seemed to slide right over a spot that made you tighten up your legs so they wouldn't shake.
But, apparently, there was still plenty left that he could do to hurt you.
You cried out, so louder it echoed across the room, when he suddenly thrust into you hard and deep, hitting the very end of you as your body involuntarily jolted— he clapped his hand down over your mouth instantly, muffling your cries to near-silence as he set a punishingly fast pace out of nowhere. You couldn’t turn your head when you heard your bedroom door open, but you could glance to the side and see another burglar appear in the doorway, staring forward at the scene in front of him.
A new sense of shame burned inside you for being seen in such a way; oddly, it came with guilt, too, as if you were doing something wrong yourself, when really it was just something wrong being done to you. The man on top of you didn’t seem to feel much of either, though: he didn’t even slow down.
"Dude, what the fuck are you doing?" the other man asked his partner, face still hidden but his voice a mixture of bewildered and disgusted. "This isn't how we roll."
"Fuck off, I'm almost done," your attacker scoffed. You tried to use the distraction to fight him again— you swung your arms to try to scratch his face or push him away, but without even hesitating he simply stopped covering your mouth to pin your wrists at either side of your head.
"Is this really what you think the revolution is about?" the man in the door sneered. "Or does that even matter to you when you think you might get some ass? Jesus, I always knew you were a creep but this is…" he trailed off.
"Maybe you should take a turn with her, might fix your attitude," the man on top of you suggested. "She's real tight— trust me, you'll feel better."
"I promise that raping that girl isn't gonna make me feel better, Jan," he frowned.
"Fine, then just go so I can finish and I'll meet you guys in the yard," Jan— apparently that was his name— instructed.
"Don't go," you begged the man in the door, seeing the concern on his face— you could tell he wanted to stop Jan, maybe if you asked him to, he would.
"Shut up, bitch," Jan growled, correcting you with a slap to the face.
The man in the doorway just shook his head and sighed, stepping back into the hall and shutting the door behind him. You cried harder, more sure than ever that Jan was right when he said you were at his mercy; and he didn’t seem to have much.
He fucked you rough and fast, recklessly chasing his own pleasure with no regard for yours. Unfortunately, that didn’t mean that you didn’t feel any pleasure, though… it was building, in fact, sort of like when you touched yourself but so much stronger, and deeper, and threatening to overflow at any moment. “Oh fuck, you’re close,” he noticed with a tilted grin, “you love it so fucking much, huh? Wanna cream on daddy’s cock?”
You shook your head but he slapped you again, spinning your face to the side as he held both your wrists above your head in one hand and gripped your jaw with the other.
“Stop lying,” he growled, “I can feel it, I can feel your cunt getting tighter… you’re gonna come so fucking hard for me, aren’t you, babydoll? God, what a nasty fucking whore you are…”
He held your face to look straight ahead, up at where he hovered above you and bared his teeth in a snarl, before forcing your mouth open and spitting into it. You grimaced and tried even harder to squirm away but he quickly clamped his hand down over your nose and mouth so you couldn’t try to spit it back out again.
“C’mon, swallow it,” he instructed roughly, voice a bit strained from the force it took to hold you down. You could hardly breathe with his hand this way, and when you tilted your head back to try to get away from it, you accidentally swallowed his spit with a disgusted, muffled grunt. “There you go, good girl,” he purred as he watched your throat bob a bit involuntarily, “that’s it, I know you wanna come— say it! Say ‘daddy I wanna come.’”
He let go of your mouth and slapped you again before you even had a chance to hesitate. “D-daddy,” you whined, “I… I—”
“It’s not that fucking hard,” he hissed, “just say it, you dumb fucking slut!”
One more slap was apparently all you needed to just choke it out: “I wanna come, daddy!” you cried, back starting to arch as the pressure of holding back your release became too much to bear.
“Then fucking come,” he demanded, “come for me, baby, right fucking now.”
You tried to hold out just a moment longer, just to spite him, just so you wouldn’t obey him so easily… but it only took one rough thrust right into the end of you to make it all spill over. You came with a sob, shaking and jerking beneath him for a moment before a warmth spread through you; it started right where he filled you and spread everywhere until your mind was all foggy and your fingers started to go numb— or maybe that was just because of him pinning you down at the wrists.
Much to your disgust, you could hear how wet you had become with every stroke inside you, a sickening squelching noise that made him laugh as your face tingled with numbness and burned with shame all at once. “Oh fuck, that’s it,” he praised, “naughty little dolly, making a mess on daddy’s cock with that dirty fucking cunt of yours… I’m gonna cover it in my come, are you ready, baby? Ask daddy to come on your pussy, don’t make me hit you again.”
“Daddy, please,” you mumbled quietly, “come on my pussy…”
“I can’t hear you, babydoll, you need to speak up,” he mocked.
And you were just so exhausted and overwhelmed and his thrusts inside your sensitive walls were starting to get painful again— that was why you really meant it when you sobbed through your begging: “Please, daddy, come on my pussy!”
With one more panted moan he pulled out and only had to give his cock one blur of a stroke before white, warm come began to paint over your sore opening, your swollen clit, your bruised inner thighs. “Fuuucckkk…” he groaned under his breath as he watched himself coat you, and you caught a tinge of pink from your blood on his cock and hand as he slowed down to a stop. "Sheiße," he sighed, letting go of your wrists to sit up and close his eyes for a moment before looking down again at where you were limp and splayed out on your bed beneath him. “See? I’m getting reckless, I really shouldn’t be leaving evidence…”
Even without that, you knew his name and face, but apparently he was focusing on the copious amounts of DNA he’d just left on you.
“I suppose it won’t be a problem, because you’re not going to tell anyone,” he posited, leaning down slightly to hover over you as you swallowed around the rock that had suddenly formed in your throat. “You know how I know you won’t?”
You weakly shook your head, already terrified to imagine what the answer to that question was going to be. Of course, your first assumption was that he was going to kill you, or threaten to do so if you involved the police. He knew where you lived, he could threaten your family, too: the thought made your skin crawl as he leaned down further to whisper right against your ear as you instinctively turned your face away from him.
“Because if you tell someone that I raped you,” he finally continued, “then you’ll also have to tell them that you liked it.”
Speaking right against your ear, it took him no effort at all to stick his tongue out and lick you right on it, making you squeal with fear and disgust.
He quickly hopped off the bed and recollected himself, stuffing his softening and blood-stained cock back into his pants before gathering his discarded clothes from the floor. "Your folks won't be home for two more nights, right? I should come visit you again," he winked when he spared a glance at you. “Now get some rest, baby, you deserve it. Don’t worry, I’ll lock the front door behind me when we leave… wouldn’t want anybody unsavory getting in, now would we?”

This is a day late, but here's a birthday fic I wrote for my favorite man, Dazai♡
Happy Birthday, Love♡
Tumblr media
"Good morning!"
A cheery voice echoed in Dazai's ear. He groaned at the noise. It was only 5 in the morning.
"Who?", he managed to grumble into the phone, shifting on his bed to stretch his legs.
"It's me, Dummy. Wake up and get ready. I'm picking you up in 5."
His eyes shot open. Why the fuck were you picking him up at 5.05 am on a fucking Saturday?
"Y/N, it's literally dark out there, "
"Shut up. Be ready!"
With that, you hung up.
Dazai groaned into his pillow, fisting the sheets and preparing himself to get out of bed.
He rolled off the edge, quite literally, and landed on his bum, hissing at the cold that kissed his ass.
He stumbled to get ready, pulling on his favourite hoodie and throwing on some jeans.
In exactly 5 minutes, his doorbell rang.
He huffed, pulling it open, and was about to whine when he took in the sight of you.
There you stood, a bright smile on your face and a bouquet in your arms.
On the flowers a hideously large note read, "Happy Birthday, Osa!"
He blinked, remembering that today was, infact, 19th June. The day he was born.
"Happy birthday, baby!"
You extended your arms, thrusting the flowers in his face. He smiled at you, accepting the flowers and pulling you in.
"Whoa-"
You were cut short by a pair of lips slamming down onto your own.
Dazai had you pinned to his door as he passionately kissed you, pouring all his love and thanks into it. He trailed his hand along your sides, eliciting an excited shiver down your spine. His tongue claimed your mouth as it's own, making you whimper at the intensity of the kiss.
You pushed his shoulders, trying to create some distance between your heaving chests.
"Not... not now!"
You grinned up at your whiny boyfriend.
"But why can't we just tear our clothes off and-"
"No! I'm not celebrating your special day like this."
He pouted, his angelic features almost making you give in. Almost.
"I have something planned for you, love. "
He smirked, leaning forward to kiss along your neck.
"Do you... really... want... to miss out... on this?"
He asked you between kisses. You gulped, pushing him away.
"No! Not now! Maybe later."
He grinned coyly at your flustered state, before yelping at the sudden pull of you grabbing his arm.
You pulled him out of the house, slamming the door behind you, and sprinting down the hall. He stumbled to keep up to you, your entwined fingers pulling him forward.
You reached down stairs to your motorcycle, putting your helmet on and tossing one towards your favorite brunet.
"Come on!"
You ushered him to sit behind you, and once he was seated, you revved you bike to life. You roared through the empty streets of Yokohama. Dazai felt excited, the rush of the wind against his face igniting a flame of exhilaration through his bones.
He hugged your waist, leaning into your warmth as the cool wind nipped at his skin, eliciting shivers.
He watched as the sun rose, it's reddish rays expanding over the land, like how the ocean usurps the sandy beach with every wave. He was left awestruck at how beautiful the city looked. There was so much beauty in this world. He was glad to be able to witness it. Especially glad that he was with you. You were another one of nature's beauties. He adored you so much. He maybe even loved you. But he wouldn't tell you that, for he wasn't sure if the feelings were reciprocated. Nonetheless, being able to spend time with you was a blessing from the heavens. He was going to cherish each every millisecond he got with you.
You maneuvered trough the twist and turns, and took your beloved to a hilltop. The view was splendid from up here. You parked, asking Dazai to get off as you turned the engine off.
"Beautiful..."
You heard him whisper as he looked over the city.
You smiled at his genuine adoration, pulling out a blanket from your bag.
"I know you like nature. I also know that you like food."
He turned towards your voice to see you sitting on a cute blanket that was laid out on the grass. Baskets of food and drinks surrounded you.
"I thought that a picnic is a perfect blend of the two!"
He grinned at your thoughtfulness and joined you.
You both spent quite a while just observing the city. How the darkness was slowly replaced by light. How the once lonely streets were filled with the buzz of humanity. Just Dazai's heart. It was so lonely and dark, then you filled it with light.
As you laid your head on his shoulder, you couldn't help but feel... complete. His warmth, his smell, his touch.. it was all way too familiar to you. You both hadn't even been dating that long, but just the thought of him made you smile. You longed to see him everyday. Hearing his voice made you feel lighthearted. His smile lit up your day. Everything about the man sitting next you made you happy. He was your serotonin boost.
You gulped at the intensity of your feelings. You cared for him, a little too much. It scared you. But you knew he felt the same way.
Everytime he leaned into your touch, subconsciously grasping onto your warmth, you realized that he loved you. He never said it to you, but you could see it in his eyes. You could see it in his tiny actions. The way he would smile the brightest smile ever, when he saw you after a long time, the way his eyes lit up when you laughed on one of his stupid jokes, the way he hugged you a little longer than he used to at the beginning. It all just adds up.
You tilt your head to stare at your love, only to find brown eyes peering down at you.
You blushed at being caught, hiding your face into his neck.
Cute chuckles followed by multiple head-kisses made you look back up at the gorgeous man.
"What are you thinking about?"
He asked, brushing your hair out of your eyes.
"You.", you replied with a smile.
He froze at your reply, a pink hue dusting his cheeks.
"Are you blushing?"
You asked incredulously.
He shook his head a little too quickly to seem convincing, turning away. You grasped his chin, forcing him to look you in the eyes.
Your intense gaze was full of adoration and it made Dazai's face heat up. You were looking at him with such gentleness. He didn't deserve you.
"I love you, Osamu."
He froze. It was a mere whisper, but it was enough to toss his world upside down.
You had finally opened up to him about your true feelings. You felt relieved to finally spill the beans. Your relief didn't last long, though, as your beloved was yet to reply.
You were beginning to worry.
Had you read into it all wrong? Maybe his affinity to your touch was merely a habit. Maybe he wasn't in love with you. Your mind was screaming at you for possibly ruining his special day. You had gone ahead and made it awkward.
"Hey, forget about it. I was not thinking straight, and-"
"I love you, too."
Now you froze. Y/N.exe has stopped working.
"What?"
You sat there, mouth agape. You had expected this, hadn't you? Until a few minutes ago, you had convinced yourself that he loved you back. Yes, you were confused for a second, but now he had told you that he loved you. So, why were you shocked? Why did it feel so good to hear those words from him?
He smiled at your frozen face, leaning forward to kiss you. You melted into his arms, telling him just how much he meant to you through the kiss. You loved how you didn't have to voice out your feelings with him. He simply understood you.
Your fingers threaded through his messy locks, pulling him closer to deepen the kiss. He grabbed your waist, lifting you up. You jumped at the opportunity and sat yourself on his lap. His hands took the liberty to express your back, creeping under your shirt to caress your soft skin. His skilled fingers teased their way higher and higher. You pushed him on his back, hovering over him, desperate to take control. He didn't let you break the kiss, pulling you down along with him.
A few moments later, it became hard to breathe, but his taste was intoxicating.
He pulled back first, grinning boyishly at you. Placing his forehead on yours, he licked his lips.
"Can't wait to claim you, tonight."
The meaning behind his words finally hit you, and you smacked his arm.
"Why would you say that?!"
"I'll make you scream your love for me, babe."
He winked.
You heated up, hiding your face in your arms. His chuckles made you want to fling a rock at his dumb head.
He was such a baby. But he was your baby. And as long as he was by your side, you would be content.

A Little Closer
[Raphael x fem reader]
sfw, apocalypse AU, 2012
Tumblr media
The city that never sleeps.
They jinxed it, you thought as you dragged yourself along the street, Raphael at your side. The city wasn't only sleeping—it was dead.
You and him were alone, trying to get back in touch with everyone after getting split up. The team had been separated by unfortunate circumstances, nothing short of Murphy's Law. If you hadn't believed in the law before, you did, now.
But Raph could and would plow through a horde for you. He had to; he was your friend, the protector, at the moment. Because while you were able to handle yourself to some degree, ultimately, Raph was the one defending the both of you. And not even because you told him to. He took the role up himself, assumed it silently and never complained. You couldn't quite tell if it was because he felt obligated, or if it really was just his nature.
"You see that building up ahead? The tall one." He pointed toward a particular rooftop rising high among the ones around, and you nod. An infected ambled around in an adjacent alleyway. You glanced over at it anxiously, while Raph seemed completely unbothered. He was focused mentally planning their route. "That's our checkpoint. From there, we'll rest and see if we can regroup with the rest of the team."
The infected, a slower, pustule-covered form, started coming toward the two of you, stumbling out with quiet gurgles. "Raph," you said softly, with a tap on his hard shoulder. He glanced back at you before pulling out his sai, running at the infected and quickly dispatching it by a stab right in the eye socket. He avoided the sickly green caps.The creature fell heavily, and some of the pustules popped on the pavement, squeezing out a foul-smelling concoction of mutagen and infector cells. It amazed you every time just how fast he could get it done, the killing. And without fear—a few infected were more of an inconvenience to him than anything. He got in and got out, all the while you were left in awe at his ability to work on autopilot.
"Actually," he muttered, stepping around the body and into the alleyway the Infector had just come from. He noticed the fire escape and decided they'd take it from there on the rooftops. "I think we can get there from here. Feel like a little roof-running?" he asked you, throwing a subtle smile over.
Anything to get off the streets. Down there, it was bad. You had to look around every corner, watch your back even more carefully, and even then, straggling infected would still manage to slip under the radar. Though, luckily, Raph often was able to predict the movements of groups, which was what made you avoid the building horde making its way through the city. It was still a major scare to think you were clear and suddenly have a hunter-class infected jump out at you.
"Yeah," you answered him, following into the alleyway. "Yeah, let's do that. There are way too many Infectors down here." A shudder crawled up your spine to think about what the ooze those things carried could do to people.
He leaped up onto the railing, while you took the stairs. "It ain't the Infectors you have to worry about. It's the Hunters," he replied, pulling himself into the edge of the roof. You finished your ascent up the staircase as quietly as possible, and he met you at the top, grabbing your hand and helping you up the rest of the way. "But don't worry; I'll make sure none of 'em get you." You leaned forward and looked at him with a small smile, noting what he said. And that he still hadn't let go of your hand. "Or me," he added quickly as he released your hand and turned away to survey the series of buildings ahead.
You laughed, "Well, I'd be pretty screwed if I lost you, Raph. I kinda rely on you, y'know?"
Unknown to you, those last words would stick with him. For a long time.
"Yeah…" he trailed off. He didn't know how to respond to that. Of course, he'd been relied upon before; by Mikey, especially. He knew what that felt like. But protecting this girl? There was a new sense of pressure. Even Mikey could handle himself well enough alone. But there wasn't anything for you to fall back on, should he be out of the equation. No ninja training, not much knowledge of how to use a melee weapon aside from the basics, and guns were few and far between. Very far. A gang would trade you one, if you were lucky. Most people weren't lucky in that regard. Raph didn't want you anywhere near those thugs, anyway.
Between the two of you was nothing but the sound of the breeze. The city was almost dead silent, save for the occasional racket of survivors, or feral animals. Both were in low numbers; most of the city—the country—had been turned. The rate at which the infection spread was astonishing. Only here and there would a lonely human cause ruckus anywhere.
Raph cleared his throat, "We should get moving. Sun's going down and we need to hunker down for the night, the Hunters will be wakin' up soon."
"Sounds good," you said as you stretched your tight muscles out. Hours of almost nonstop walking and jogging could really work up some nasty knots.
You moved forward, him naturally taking the lead as you both made your ways across the roofs, him helping you along when you needed it, and you keeping watch for stragglers while you were at it. Sometimes, there would be other people up there. Other times, former people.
Coming up to a run down building, Raph made the last jump across, expecting you to be able to handle it. But you were hesitant, your body worn and weary from days of over exertion, and today was the straw that broke the camel's back. After all this time, you just couldn't muster the strength to clear the gap yourself.
Raph was about to go on ahead when he noticed you hadn't made it across yet, and he called out, "Y/N, what're you doing over there? Come on, this is our stop."
You wanted to do it, for the sake of his convenience, but it was too far. You could have over or underestimated and plummeted down into the alley below, gotten incapacitated, and became even more baggage. He watched as you backpedaled from the ledge. "I can't," you answered, slightly ashamed, "it's too far of a jump. I can't do it."
You watched as Raph easily bounded across, landing in front of you. "Here," he motioned for you to step in, and you did, where he then picked you right up into his arms and started backing further away. He'd lended you a helping hand before, a catch, sometimes, but never had he picked you up like this. "Wrap your arms around my neck, this is a little dodgy," he instructed you. He tried to ignore the fluttery feeling it gave him when you did what he'd said to do, wrapping your arms around his sturdy neck as he got ready to leap the gap. You were comfortable enough—Raph was strong. Really strong. But the threat of you both falling still have you anxiety, and for that, you had to clamp your eyes shut.
Without a word, he took off in a dash, one powerful leg launching the both of you off the edge. His arms tightened around you somehow more than they had been before. And for a brief second you felt wind. You still couldn't open your eyes, only focused on the feeling of almost absolute security in Raph's grip. Next was the hard landing, which jarred you out of your brief moment of warmth. He grunted, following through into a crouch and setting you down on your feet.
"You alright?" you asked him, concerned, placing a light hand on his shell.
He had a level of endurance that far exceeded the average person's, but even Raph was getting tired. He despised feeling weak, but his body was now actively working against him. He felt slow and heavy for his standards, running on fumes and secretly desperate for rest. As good of a sleep as he could get without worrying about being ambushed by something, be it human or otherwise. He knew he'd be back to the grind soon enough though because you needed sleep, too, and he would die before leaving you undefended in such a vulnerable state.
You realized then just now exhausted he was as he rose, taking in a deep breath. "I'm alright, let's just...clear the place and get in there," he said.
He approached the door into the stairwell and listened for a second before trying the knob. Locked. He was impatient to get in and finally be able to rest, so he just kicked the door in with everything he had, deciding to deal with anything that might be in there as they came. You grimaced; stairwells were awful places to fight anyone or anything.
Collecting yourself, you came over and peered in along with him. "Easy there, shouldn't we be quiet?" you questioned him in earnest.
He never intended to be rude to you, but his mood got the best of him, and he snapped back with a sigh, "Look, I'll get rid of them, okay? It's not like you're the one going in and killing them, so just stay out of the way and let me get it done."
You backed out of the doorway and shot him a look as if to say, are you serious? You knew Raph was prone to moodiness, but you'd never expected it to be targeted your way.
Shit. He slapped his hand onto the doorframe and leaned his forehead on it, groaning. Not even at you, but himself, because he'd just snapped at his only friend and ally out here at the moment. Seeing the flash of the look of hurt on your face at his words made him feel like a total asshole.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled after a minute of uncomfortable silence. He looked back at you, eyes falling on the sombreness of your expression. "I'm just tired. I'll be more careful here on out, if it makes you feel better. I know you're just trying to look out for us, trust me. I do."
"It's okay," you said softly. "Don't worry about it. Let's get in there now, yeah?" you nudged him, stepping in. You looked over the railing in search of anything suspicious. Oxidized blood, the hybrid mutagenic fluid that the Infectors secreted. No, it all appeared clean. But that didn't mean it was safe. Raph descended the stairs slowly, listening for anything he could pick up on. The two of you were surprised that it seemed clear, maybe even skeptical, but it didn't stop you as your paced picked up. Raph kept you behind him at all times with his sai out and ready.
"You think it's good?" you whisper, leaning your head over his shoulder. His eyes scanned the surroundings in the hallway you had just been lead into, still searching for any red flags.
There was nothing. No sounds, no signs of infected, and deathly quiet. The lack of noise disturbed Raph more than anything, but if it meant one night of peace, he'd take anything he could get.
"The residents must've abandoned this place when the evacs happened," you noted.
"Everyone should have stayed. Maybe then we would have had a chance of actually containing this thing and Donnie wouldn't have to be busting his ass to save us all. If that's even possible at this point."
He let his guard down a little. All he wanted to do was pick out any random apartment and take it over for the night. Trying the one on his left, the door slowly opened to reveal a messy studio, papers strewn about, cabinets still open, things discarded on the floor. He almost melted just seeing the couch, let alone a bed.
You were watching the hall just to make sure, but felt his calloused hand land on your forearm, pulling you in.
"Wow," you breathed out. "I never thought I'd be so happy to see such a mess. I feel like I haven't slept in three years," you muttered to yourself, shutting the door behind you.
Raph wandered around the room as he made his last checks behind the counters and such before he finally relaxed and slid his sais back into their holders. "No kidding," he commented. "I'd bet there's nothing to eat in here, though."
"Can't hurt to try."
Turned out that there wasn't anything but a couple of granola bars and a single bottle of water you'd found under the kitchen table. Probably rolled under there and the owner never noticed, but you were running low on your water supply, as your backpack was starting to feel light.
Raph kept the blinds closed tight in fear of being spotted from the window, even though it was practically a wasteland out there, but you couldn't help but part them a bit to catch a glimpse of the sun going down. That beautiful, warm glow that the Golden Hour produced, and the way it painted the sky. Though, it wasn't all that visible from where you were.
Sunset came and went and gave way to night. It was dark in the apartment; no electricity was being routed there, and so the only thing that lit up the area was the lone lantern you had sitting on the coffee table. Your eyelids were becoming so heavy that you couldn't stop to care if the furniture had bed bugs or other gross stuff. It was comfortable on your aching back, that's what mattered. You lay down on it and was already dozing off when Raph padded by. He stopped. You were so tired, he could see that. He could stand to stay up for a few more hours, he told himself—he would do that.
As you slept, he spent his time cleaning his weapons, adjusting his gear, snacking on what little the two of you shared. Also thinking. About how tired he was in that moment, his brothers (wherever they were), and finally...you. He found his gaze shifting from the knife in his lap that he'd been sharpening to you, sound asleep on the couch and for the first time in days, looking at peace. You had dark circles under your eyes, bumps and scrapes all over your body, yet for a little while, you'd forgotten all about it. Because you were asleep, obviously, but even though he was downright beat, he couldn't bring himself to disturb you. Not yet, at least. The clock on the wall was still ticking on. It was quiet, except for that—Raph couldn't complain. He softened watching you. There was something comforting to him about being able to drop the act and just observe you without having to talk. He wasn't always good at talking. He judged that perhaps you were only trying to fill the silence when you kept rambling or muttering, which was understandable. It made him wonder briefly if you felt awkward when he was quiet.
Raph was on his proverbial last leg in terms of his wakefulness when he heard your voice, the slightest call that was almost inaudible. He set his gear aside and shifted towards you where he sat on the coffee table, trying to figure out if you were only dreaming, or if you really needed something.
"You awake?" he whispered.
Arm dangling off the couch, you rested your face on your other hand. "Yeah," you answered through a dry throat. He remembered the bottle of water from earlier and reached into the backpack at his feet, handing it to you. He'd already drank over half of it.
"How long have you been laying there awake while I could have been getting some shut-eye?" he jested. You did your best to muster a smile, but it wasn't going. It wasn't like you to be so solemn.
He spoke again as you downed the rest of the water, "Uh...joking. Are you—"
"Can you hold me?"
You weren't looking at him. Your eyes were closed, and on the inside, you asked yourself why you'd said it. Maybe it was the mid-sleep grogginess, or you had just lost all care in the world. He was staring at you, but in the low light, you could hardly see his expression. He swallowed; oh, how this had taken him off guard.
"Just for a little bit."
He was going to stammer out something, he wasn't sure what, but anything to relieve the mix of awkward embarrassment he was feeling. He wanted to crawl into that couch with you, to feel the warmth of your body against his cold one—why couldn't he move? Why was it so hard to just say: "Yes, I can hold you."
He could fight. He could defend. What he couldn't do was comprehend his own emotions.
"I, uh…do you feel unsafe, or something?" He felt stupid to ask that, but that part of his mind wanted to rationalize your request. He would feel vulnerable in your shoes. He knew that for a fact. But really, he was aware that wasn't the case, you feeling unsafe; he was there. Your sentinel, willing to push himself as far as he possibly could, and then some.
A sigh left you, and the single word, "Please."
No more thinking. Just do.
He sat up, tentative in his approach to your tired form. You shifted back as far into the cushions of the couch that you could, offering him the space on the edge. He climbed down, and after a minute of trying to situate all of your limbs, he was finally comfortable. He would be lying to say his heart wasn't beating faster, that it didn't feel weird to drape his arm around you the way he did, being pressed against your back like that. Despite everything, it felt natural. Right. Like he'd been missing something that whole time, and as soon as he had pulled you into him, he had a revelation.
There were no words exchanged. Just the sound of the clock ticking and the both of your breaths as you were lulled back into sleep. He couldn't sleep yet. You still had an hour to go before it was his turn. Not that it bothered him. Not then; he wanted to be conscious for this, the feeling of fullness he had with how you seemed to fit against his body so well. The contrast of soft skin to his scales, his lean, solid muscles compared to your own less-developed. His fingers brushed along your wrist in some of the lightest touches he'd ever administered. His leg found its way over your own.
What started rigid and awkward now had melted him. His body hadn't felt that loose in a long time.
Whatever the next move was, he was fine with it. The team was close to finding each other after four days of separation. There was a horde forming outside, gathering up to blow through the city in one last sweep. But as long as they got where they needed to go, he didn't mind it at all.
a/n: i 100% did not feel like explaining how or why they got separated from the rest of the group just be along for the ride bby

-----------
A few paranormally uneventful days passed. Seohyun hadn't exactly opened up to the group of boys that she was now able to call friends, but she was slowly getting there. It was hard not to smile when one of them cracked a silly joke, and harder not to laugh when they had a battle of wits.
She was slowly getting used to her new school. She was past the stage of being a new kid and the students in her class had stopped giving her those looks. She was unnoticed, and she loved it.
Today, like every other morning, Seohyun got ready for school, tying her hair in a half ponytail, peeking out of the window to check if she should wear her glasses or cap today. She had to hide her eyes somehow, they always betrayed her. She didn't want anyone to think she liked to stare into the space. But then she shrugged and tossed her glasses in the bag, wearing her cap as she went to the kitchen.
Her mother was a very busy woman and she liked to spend almost all her day in her office. She was rarely home even if she had a day off anyway. So Seohyun just made herself some coffee, munching on some cookies as she waited for the coffee to become cool enough to drink.
"I still don't get why you let the housemaid go," Jiwoo popped out of nowhere and twirled around the kitchen.
"Well, I didn't entirely let her 'go'. She still comes by on the weekends, you already know that."
"But still! What's wrong with having food everyday?" Jiwoo pushed her dark red hair back as she tsk-ed at Seohyun.
"For one, I wanted to learn to cook, and the food she made was always too much for just me. I always had to throw it out or give it to someone before it went bad. Mom's never home to eat anyway."
"I actually hate your mom, no offence," Jiwoo looked at her and Seohyun shook her head, "I mean, what kind of a mother is she?"
"A woman married to her work with an abnormal child, I kind of understand why she's like this," Seohyun muttered.
"Nah, you're not abnormal. You're gifted. And you don't appreciate it enough."
"No offence, unnie, but ghosts are the company I'd rather not have," Seohyun rinsed her cup and placed it on the rack, taking her school bag and locking the door.
"What's wrong with me?" Jiwoo asked.
"You're one of the better ones, but only because you had temporary amnesia before you died and you still don't know who exactly you are and why you're a ghost!" Seohyun snorted at the weirdness of all this.
"You think I'd ever be able to recall? Or just be stuck with you forever?" Jiwoo asked.
"I'd rather you try to move around and find out who you are instead of making me look like I talk to myself."
"Ah, you pain me, child. It's all because you have new friends now and don't care about me anymore. Right, catto?"
The black cat, which Seohyun hadn't noticed earlier, meowed in response.
"And, here comes the pretty one," Jiwoo grinned and Seohyun looked in her direction to find San coming their way.
"Pretty one? Seriously?" Seohyun shook her head.
"I mean, they're all pretty, but I like this kid more-"
"Hey," San gave her a smile as he meowed to the cat, who gladly jumped in San's arm when he put them forward.
"This little-" Seohyun stopped, and San laughed. "She never comes when I ask!"
"She likes me more, it seems," San rubbed her forehead and she purred, and they walked in comfortable silence to school the rest of the way.
They almost reached the gates of the school but something Seohyun saw from the corner of her eye made her stop in her tracks.
It was a ghost, yet it was something else. It wasn't someone who had died recently for sure. The man, the ghost if you could call it that, was bitter.
"You okay?" San asked, looking in the direction Seohyun was looking in. To him, it seemed she was looking at a wall.
"Yeah, I-I'm okay. Why don't you go ahead? I'll be right back. I should take her too," Seohyun picked the cat from San's hand, "We don't want her roaming around the school and getting scared, do we now?"
San raised a suspicious brow at her, but nodded as he reluctantly went in.
The man tried approaching Seohyun first, but she motioned him to follow her and went to the backside of the school, where surely there would be very few people walking by at this time.
"State your business," Seohyun said, and the man actually looked taken aback, if his eyes could display some emotion.
Truth be told, Seohyun was always scared dealing with men ghosts and older ghosts in general. Since ghosts could touch her, they were as much of a threat to her as humans. And these old ghosts, the ones with skin that looked grey, almost as if the ghost had started decomposing too, were usually not in their right mind.
"I have waited decades to find the mediator," the man's eyes gleamed rather wickedly.
"Mediator?" Seohyun asked. A rather fancy term for someone who could see the dead. "And why did you have to wait decades?"
"Let's say the mediator supposed to sort my death out met with rather... unfortunate circumstances," the man cleared his throat but his voice was still hoarse as he said, "You have to come with me."
"Well, if you waited decades, can you wait a few more hours? I have school, and please do NOT disturb me during my class," Seohyun made sure her tone was polite as she said this, but the man grunted. Before he could try anything, she muttered an awkward bye and walked swiftly to the gates, letting the cat go. She didn't realize she'd been holding the cat for comfort.
San, who had just witnessed Seohyun talking to thin air from the other side of the road, sighed loudly as he walked slowly to the gates.
San hadn't meant to follow her, but he turned around after a few steps of walking to the building, hoping to offer to come along with her, but when he saw her stop in the middle of the road and look as if she was actually talking to someone, he paused. He knew he shouldn't, but he watched her. And he did not know what to make of it.
Was Seohyun crazy? Didn't look like it. If she was, she did a damn good job at hiding it. When San finally reached class, he saw Seohyun chatting with Jongho. Perfectly normal. Or was she?
San said nothing as he sat in his spot, but he felt her tap his shoulder. He turned around and she asked, "I thought you went to class, where were you roaming around?"
San stared at her light brown orbs, coming out of the trance when she blinked. "I just wanted to walk around a bit."
He saw her frown but then she nodded and went back to chatting with Jongho. San turned back in his seat, and throughout the classes, he kept wondering if that was the reason why she covered her face or eyes.
When school ended, Seohyun said she had to go somewhere and said bye. San made an excuse too and started to follow her. He was going to see for himself, what she was gonna do.
San knew it was impolite to do this. And he knew if she found out, she'd really be angry with him, maybe never talk to him again. This was supposed to be her secret for sure. She would probably never tell any one of them. He wasn't even sure what it was.
Seohyun led him to an abandoned warehouse, and he heard her say, "Why bring me here?"
She paused for a few second, looking around as if for help, and San ducked quickly behind the boxes before she could see her. He couldn't hear her now, but he did get bits about how it was creepy of 'him' to bring her to this place without warning her, and he didn't miss how she kept looking behind her, as if she was waiting for someone to appear or just didn't want to keep doing this.
Who was this 'him'? Her imaginary friend? A ghost? San shook his head, and got on his feet when he noticed her go inside the warehouse.
San crept up behind them, and couldn't believe what he saw.
The locked door somehow unlocked, somehow the chains fell and the door magically opened wide in front of her, without Seohyun having even moved a finger.
What was happening?
Seohyun was asked to come in the warehouse and she couldn't ignore the roaring of her gut that told her something was going to go really, really wrong. She had such a strong feeling some years ago too, and she had barely gotten away from her life then.
All her nerves screamed at her to run, anywhere, just not go in. Where was Jiwoo when she needed her? Seohyun was kind of furious how she was never there for her.
Seohyun watched the old man walk in, looking around, and before she entered, she turned her head once hoping she would see Jiwoo-
Instead, she felt her heart sink as she saw none other than San, attempting to hide as their eyes met.
"Come in now, don't keep me waiting," the man grumbled, and Seohyun shouted an okay to him before she looked at San, hoping to warn him with her eyes as she put a finger to her mouth, telling him not to make a sound and motioning him to stay where he was.
Seohyun went inside, her heart slamming against her chest. This wasn't supposed to happen. San must think she's crazy or worse. Her mind made a mental list of how many ways this could go wrong.
"I used to think mediators ran in the family. But the one who was supposed to help me, he did not have any offspring. I spent so many years in ignorance, not knowing that it was completely random. Just like god picking up a needle in the haystack."
"Cut to the chase. What do you want with me and why bring me here?"
"I have forgotten why I died. And I want to move on. But I can't because I don't remember why I am still here. Someone told me there were various other ways to move on... Let's say I had to try."
As soon as Seohyun saw the growing smirk on the man, she knew it was time to run the hell away. But several bottles came flying at her, and she barely dodged them as they crashed on the wall next to her.
"You don't have to do this! It's wrong! I help dead people move on, there must be a way other than stupid violence-"
But the man waved another hand and now the boxes came flying at her. She was grabbed by the arm and pulled against someone, and she sighed in both relief and horror as she saw it was San.
"Are you stupid! You'll get hurt!" She yelled at him. He just took her hand and ran towards the shelves, hoping to hide from whatever it was that sent flying objects in the air. He almost dragged her until he was sure he was quite away from whatever it was.
"What the hell is happening?" San asked through his teeth.
"Why did you even follow me? Are you stupid?"
"Who is it?" San's grip on her wrist tightened as his eyes searched around.
"It's a ghost, San. Do you believe me?" Seohyun asked, waiting for a snide remark.
"From what I've seen? Sure," San muttered, and Seohyun wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic.
"He's near. Let's move," Seohyun said, and this time, she grabbed San's hand as she led him through the various shelves that lined the warehouse, glad they weren't empty.
A blast shocked them, making them jump in the air as they realized the shelves were collapsing one by one.
"Shit, shit, shit!" Seohyun ran, San matching her pace and she ran her eyes around, finally finding a place to hide. It was a narrow passage between huge containers. Seohyun looked at her options. The man was blocking the entrance so now they could just hide and pray for help or... die. If that's the worst that was to come.
Seohyun dragged San with her to the narrow passage, both of them barely fitting in the small dark place. Now they were side to side but San's body was still half out, so Seohyun pulled him closer, until he was almost in front of him. Since the passage was so narrow and short, there wasn't much gap between them.
San was a bundle of nerves and all, his heart beating wildly. "What's going on-"
"Shh," Seohyun whispered, putting a hand on his mouth to shut him up, "I'll explain everything later, I promise."
San nodded, taking off her hand from his mouth but not leaving it. Seohyun was too busy concentrating on where the man was to notice it. He saw her wince, and she looked at San with apologetic eyes.
"If something happens to us, I'm sorry, San. I'll do my best to save you. The man-the ghost is after me. I don't know why," Seohyun sighed, and San squeezed her hand assuringly.
"I'm with you. Nothing will happen," he whispered, thinking he must sound stupid to say that. But it must have given her some sort of assurance. She put her head on San's chest, sighing again.
The two of them heard the sounds of things getting destroyed alright, Seohyun hearing the man as well, and Seohyun almost cried in relief as she heard Jiwoo whisper her name.
"I can teleport you, but what about him-"
"Either we both go, or we both stay," Seohyun said firmly. She wasn't going to leave him alone.
"Go where?" San asked. Seohyun told him her friend was here and she could help.
Jiwoo looked at Seohyun and a slow grin appeared on her face. "There is something I could try..."
"What?" Seohyun narrowed her eyes at Jiwoo.
"What if I teleport you, but you're still holding San? Would he come with us?"
"I don't know, unnie..." Seohyun trailed, but an idea stuck to her. "It's the same as when I have something with me right? A bag, a cap, something. But that's objects. What about actual humans?"
"Remember when we accidentally teleported our cat once? It was holding on to you and you had forgotten. What if this works?"
Seohyun bit her lip. It was worth a try. "If it doesn't work, promise me we'll come back to San right then."
"But your body can't handle too many teleportations-"
"Promise me," Seohyun insisted, and Jiwoo rolled her eyes as she nodded. "Hurry up, he's closer."
"San, listen to me carefully," Seohyun said. "You know what teleportation is, right?"
San wanted to ask her if now was really the time, but he said yes- from the movies, and she continued, "I'm gonna attempt to teleport you along with me. My friend is gonna do that. You have to trust me."
"No way," San muttered, sighing deeply.
"Yes, you were stupid and brave enough to follow me, so yes, we are teleporting. I've done it before, but I've never teleported someone... normal with me, so this might not work. So if I disappear, and you're here all alone, I promise you, San, that I'll be back within a minute, okay?"
"How am I supposed to make sense of all you're saying?" San's eyes were helpless.
"Just... trust me. I won't leave you alone. I promise. Now, I have to, er, hold you, so she can teleport us. Gotta make sure I take you with me..."
Seohyun heard Jiwoo snicker, and she passed her a death glare. San, tempted to roll his eyes, held her hands.
"I'm afraid I'll have to hold you tighter. You see, when we teleport, we tend to lose what we're not holding tightly..."
"Oh..." San left her hands, and Seohyun muttered 'here goes nothing' as she wrapped her arms around San's waist, surprised that it was so small.
"Hold me tightly, and no matter what, do not let me go, you understand?"
"Yes ma'am," San said as he bent down to place his chin on her shoulder and bring her closer. "This okay?"
"Yes," Seohyun realized she was holding her breath, so she said, "Take a deep breath, San."
San did so, and Jiwoo smirked a little, watching two scared children hug each other. She came forward, holding Seohyun only, and did her magic.
San felt his stomach twist and turn, saw a million colourful stars, almost got nauseous but his only comfort was Seohyun so he held her tighter and shut his eyes. He didn't open them again until he landed on hard ground, his back aching with the impact.
He opened his eyes and saw... nothing.
He wasn't sure if he was blind or not, but he looked down and saw Seohyun half on top of him, attempting to get up, and he realized he had his vision all right.
"Where the hell," Seohyun got up, "are we?"
"I guess your body could only attempt a half trip," Jiwoo said, and San instantly turned at the voice, making eye contact with the red haired girl.
"That's the ghost friend that teleported us?" San asked Seohyun.
"You can see her!?" Seohyun asked, and San looked at Jiwoo.
"I wasn't supposed to see her, was I?" He raised his brow, and Seohyun looked at Jiwoo.
"Hey, kid, nice to officially meet you," Jiwoo said, holding out a hand to him so he could stand up. San tried to take it, but his hand passed through Jiwoo's hand, and he gasped.
"I guess you can only see then," Seohyun bit her lip as she looked around. "Is this where ghosts come when they... move on?"
"That's where I come when I'm not on planet Earth," Jiwoo said, "It's like another plane, you could say, another dimension overlapping ours, except this one is for ghosts."
"What now? Should we try again?" Seohyun asked, coughing a bit.
"You should take a breather first. Your body can't handle it," Jiwoo nodded at her and Seohyun sat down on the ground, putting her head over her knees as she brought them closer, shivering a little. Jiwoo was right, something was happening to her. Like a cold coming to her.
"Is she okay?" San asked Jiwoo, and she shrugged. San ran his fingers through his hair as he looked around, finding no source of light that illuminated the area around them.
So Seohyun wasn't crazy. Somehow, though it made no sense, she could see ghosts, she could touch them. San looked at Jiwoo and opened his mouth to ask something, but then thought against it. Now was not the time.
"I know you have a lot of questions," Jiwoo commented, "Let's try to get out of here first before we have the talk."
"Has she... ever brought someone here?" San asked.
"This is the first time she came here too," Jiwoo said, "Usually when a ghost teleports her, it's quick and efficient. Much like you see in movies or books."
"We should get out of this place quick. I don't want him to come find us here," Seohyun said, getting up.
"Are you sure you're okay? Can you make it back?" Jiwoo asked.
"I have to," Seohyun said.
Jiwoo nodded, and Seohyun looked at San for permission. San came forward and they both held each other tight as Jiwoo attempted to teleport them again.
This time, they landed on soft grass, but the impact with which they did sent them rolling a bit. San's breath was knocked out of him and he coughed loudly, gasping for breath. As soon as he recovered, he looked for Seohyun-
Seohyun was bent rather awkwardly, and it looked like she wasn't moving. San and Jiwoo both rushed to her, straightening her body. Jiwoo checked if she was breathing.
"She is breathing. She must have collapsed from being tired, don't worry, it's happened before too," Jiwoo assured him.
San sighed, looking up at the sky, wondering what he had gotten himself into. He looked around, finding the place familiar.
"Is this... the park near our school?" San asked Jiwoo.
"Yes, I tried to teleport us as close to Seohyun's home as possible, but looks like we could only make it till here."
"What if someone had seen us appear out of thin air?"
Jiwoo laughed. "They'd probably run for their lives. You'd be aliens."
San smiled a little at that. That's exactly what he would have thought if he had seen Seohyun.
"So are you... Seohyun's friend?" San finally asked.
"You could say that. I'm older than her so she always calls me unnie, but I keep telling her to call me Jiwoo."
"Then I'll call you noona," San smiled, making Jiwoo grin.
"She helps ghosts move on. When someone dies and they have unfinished business that they just can't leave behind, they sometimes choose to become ghosts until they get done with that. Seohyun helps them do that."
"That must be hard..." San wondered if it was always as bad as this time.
"It is, but what happened today is not a common occurrence. The man she saw today, he's been dead for a good while and has forgotten his purpose here. I once heard the other ghosts talk about him too. Ghosts like that, you have to avoid them. They're bitter, and usually mean Seohyun harm."
"So now... I can see you, does that mean I'll be able to see other ghosts too?"
"You'll find out soon," Jiwoo said.
Seohyun woke up with a gasp, her eyes wide. Jiwoo helped her sit up, and Seohyun muttered 'water'. San quickly opened Seohyun's bag and fished out her bottle, which she drank hungrily from, some water spilling down her chin as well.
"Slow down, kid," Jiwoo patted her back. Seohyun emptied the whole bottle, wiping her chin, then felt something run down her nose.
"Nosebleed. Do you have tissues?" Jiwoo asked and Seohyun shrugged, looking upwards and holding her nose. Jiwoo searched through her bag but San took out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to Seohyun.
"Does this usually happen?" San asked.
"No... it's the first time," Jiwoo admitted. Seohyun nodded too. "When we accidentally teleported the cat with her, she became dehydrated, but that was it."
Seohyun wiped her nose, looking at Jiwoo and she gave her a thumbs up.
"I shouldn't have followed you..." San shook his head, "It's because of me that-"
"You shouldn't have, but I'm kind of glad you did. Jiwoo is unreliable as a ghost friend and who knows what would have happened to me if you were not there? I could have died," Seohyun said nonchalantly.
"HEY!" Jiwoo smacked her arm but Seohyun ignored her.
"But look at you-" San was cut by Seohyun putting her hand up and saying, "I need food, and I mean NOW."
A few minutes later, they were watching Seohyun hungrily gulp down noodles and fried chicken. San had stopped eating midway just to watch her eat with a speed he hadn't ever seen before.
"Are you sure you're even chewing?" He asked, and Seohyun glared at him.
"The food is not going anywhere, Seohyun, slow down," Jiwoo laughed, "seeing you eat like this is making me wish I could eat too."
"Okay, mom," Seohyun said, finally slowing down. They ate the rest of the food silently, then Seohyun decided she'd like some coffee. They decided to walk her home as she sipped on her coffee and answered San's questions.
"Have you ever told anyone?" San asked first.
"Never. My mom only knows because she's, well, my mom and it's weird when a little kid sees stuff nobody else does."
"And what has she done about this?" San wasn't sure if he should have asked this.
Seohyun sighed, "She tried to 'help' me, but then she decided avoiding me was the best way. So now she's married to her work."
"And your dad?"
"He's never been here in the first place."
"Oh..." San faltered, but saw Seohyun shrug. "You can ask me anything, San. You deserve an explanation. Don't hesitate."
"Why can you see ghosts?"
"I don't know that either," Seohyun smiled as she looked at the sky. "Born this way?"
"Would you have ever told us?" San asked. Seohyun stopped walking at that, and faced him.
"To be honest, I've never made friends, San, because of this reason. That someone would find out. They'd never believe me, they'd think I'm crazy. So I don't know if I would have told you guys, ever," Seohyun paused, "But you found out, and you witnessed everything. What do you think?"
San scratched his neck. "I think you're right. I don't think any of us would have believed you. We'd have dismissed it as a joke. But now that I did see everything... It's different now. I hope you understand that."
"You sure you don't want to, I don't know, ever talk to me and all?"
San smiled. "You think I'd abandon my friend just like that?"
Seohyun couldn't help but stare at San, his sharp eyes that grew warmer every time he smiled, how they slightly curved.
"I want you to know that if it was anyone of us, and they had seen what I had seen, they would have never abandoned you. We don't take our friendships lightly."
"That's... good to hear," Seohyun finally smiled. "Do you think they'd believe us if we tell them?"
"They'd need some convincing, but yes, they would. Do you want to tell them?"
"Not yet," Seohyun said, "When the time is right."
San nodded, and squeezed her hand. "If you're ever in danger, you tell me, okay? If you need anyone, or anything, you tell me, got it? You don't have to face this alone anymore."
Seohyun almost cried right there, but she held it back, squeezing his hand back and nodding. They walked a few minutes until she finally reached home.
"Thank you, San. For everything." Seohyun smiled at him, and this time it was a true smile. San was actually taken aback. It felt like she had truly smiled for the first time, unfiltered.
"Anytime," San managed to say, and watched her go in. He took a deep breath, trying to shake off the image of Seohyun smiling, but found himself smiling too.
Meanwhile, Seohyun collapsed as soon as she entered, and she allowed herself to cry, both happy and sad tears, happy that someone finally understood her, and sad that it hadn't happen earlier. Jiwoo sat down with her, silently rubbing her back.
----------------
Seohyun almost slept in the next day, only woken up for school when Jiwoo threw her off the bed for 'sleeping like a sloth'. She couldn't exactly blame her. Seohyun had been so tired that after crying her heart out, she'd only had the energy to change before she collapsed on her bed and slept without moving an inch.
"My whole body hurts like I did some major workout," Seohyun mumbled as she tried running towards school, but gave up. She'd just walk.
"I don't recall you having such after effects after a teleportation," Jiwoo wondered.
"When it's just me, I'm only drained a bit. Like running. But even when I took the cat accidentally, my head hurt a lot. This time it was a whole human."
"Maybe because they aren't meant to be there," Jiwoo shrugged, meowing at the cat who appeared out of nowhere as usual. "Sometimes I think you might have transferred this teleportation thing to your cat too."
"Except 'I' can't teleport. You ghosts can," Seohyun corrected. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't tried teleporting herself home from school. How cool would that have been?
Jiwoo picked the cat and quickly passed it to Seohyun so no one would witness a flying cat. Seohyun draped her over her shoulder so Jiwoo could play with her. As they were walking, they saw San standing in a corner. He waved, then joined them.
"Hi noona," he said, and Jiwoo tried poking San but her hand went through him.
"I guess you can still only see," Jiwoo shook her head, continuing to pet the cat.
"You can touch the cat? And she sees you?" San asked, curiously watching them.
"Ever since we accidentally teleported her, I can touch her. But I'm pretty sure she could see me before too. All cats can, I think."
"Interesting..."
"Were you... waiting for us or something?" Seohyun finally asked.
"I was. I couldn't sleep last night, truth be told. I kept thinking about what happened. In fact, I'm surprised I didn't freak out..."
"I'm more surprised about that," Seohyun admitted.
"Meanwhile Seohyun here slept as soon as she reached home and I had to wake her up for school too," Jiwoo flipped her hair dramatically. Seohyun scoffed at that.
"You must be very tired... Are you okay?" San asked.
Seohyun nodded, and before she could say something they heard someone calling their names. It was Wooyoung and Yeosang. They joined them, Wooyoung putting his arm over San's shoulder as he said, "You're early today. You usually come in last minute."
"I woke up early today," San said casually, his eyes darting towards Seohyun unconsciously. Yeosang noticed that, trying to stop the smile creeping on his mouth as he looked between Seohyun and San. Seohyun gave him a warning glare, one she made sure was strong enough.
As they waited for class to start, Seohyun was resting her head on the desk. She couldn't quite believe the fact that someone now knew who she was, and was not disgusted or freaked out by her. She couldn't stop wondering what the future would be like, what if this group of boys would really get her to warm up to them, and how they would react if they found out.
San turned around in his seat, a frown growing on his face as he noticed how tired she looked. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Just very, very tired," Seohyun sighed, lifting her head.
"What if the ghost-man comes here?" San asked.
"Oh. I'd totally forgotten about him..." Seohyun bit her lip, "Well, he knows better not to make a scene in front of people, so chances are he won't."
"Chances? That ghost was dangerous!" San hissed, "What if he does come here?"
"Jiwoo must be out on watch. She'd warn me." Seohyun said, and San looked a little relieved at that. "It's not like the ghost can hurt you, so don't worry."
San rolled his eyes. "I'm worried about you, stupid."
"Oh," Seohyun paused. "You don't have to. I'll be fine."
San tsk-ed at her, turning back in his seat. Seohyun stared at the back of his head. Yunho dragged his seat towards Seohyun as he said, "You both are getting along rather well."
"Well," Seohyun slumped back in her seat, "he keeps talking."
Yunho laughed at that, "He's been thinking of names for your cat too."
"I won't approve if I don't like it. He knows that, right?"
"I'll give a good name, don't worry," San turned back in his seat, having overheard the conversation.
"I don't have much expectations from you, to be honest," Seohyun said casually, tucking her hair behind her ear, "I think Jongho there could give a much better name. He looks like he actually uses his brain."
Yunho and San looked at each other and giggled at that. Her observation was true. Jongho was infamously known as the 'only braincell' of the group. Yunho told her that, which actually made her smile.
"See? I know how to spot the smart ones."
"Who do you think is the most dumb one out of us?" San asked, attempting to make puppy eyes so she won't pick him. Seohyun looked at each one of them slowly, then said, "I haven't talked to you all much, but Wooyoung looks like he doesn't really like to use his brain."
The pair of them laughed so loud at that, catching the rest of the boys' attention as Seohyun tried to shut them up. But they were in tears, slapping their thighs as they laughed.
"Can the both of you stop? San you're second dumbest, just so you know."
That just made them laugh harder. The boys slowly came to them, muttering how they wanted to know what was 'so funny that they were howling'.
"She thinks the smartest one of us is Jongho, and the dumbest is Wooyoung," Yunho finally explained.
Wooyoung was laughing at first until he realized and yelled "HEY!" Jongho giggled, looking satisfied.
"Your brain processing is just a bit slow, that's all. No offence," Seohyun muttered.
"I mean, she's not wrong..." Hongjoong made an impressed face.
"Where do I stand?" Mingi asked, "I'm the second smartest right?"
"From below, yes," Seohyun said, making them all laugh. They all insisted that she rank them, and then they'd tell her if she was right about this.
"I don't actually think you're dumb, okay? This is just a joke, don't take it seriously-"
"I know, we all know," Wooyoung assured her, smiling warmly, "carry on."
"...Okay," Seohyun hesitated a bit then started, "Hongjoong is smartest obviously but Jongho is quite smart too? He seems more mature. Then Yeosang or Seonghwa, San somewhere in the middle depending on how awake he is, not sure about Yunho, but Mingi and Wooyoung... well they're pretty close. Because they don't like using their brains..."
"Most of it is accurate," Hongjoong agreed, "Yunho is more lucky than smart."
"Ah.. must be nice to be god's favourite," Seohyun scoffed. "But hey, I like Mingi and Wooyoung. They make you all laugh. That's more important."
Mingi and Wooyoung clapped at that, finally approving.
------------
It was finally after school, when San insisted on accompanying her to her home so she would get there 'safe', that they encountered the old ghost right outside her house.
"Get behind me" San protectively pushed Seohyun behind her.
"I appreciate the gesture, San, but this won't work. Use your brain."
"Oh... Right," San scratched his head and Jiwoo, who had also been with them the entire time, stepped forward.
"We can talk this out like civil human beings and ghosts. Then you can decide if you really want to kill Seohyun."
"NOONA!" San shouted in disbelief but she dismissed him with a wave of her hand.
"Very touching, all this, but I agree, we can have a normal conversation," the old man said.
"How long have you been a ghost exactly?"
"So long that I have forgotten my purpose, girl," the ghost snickered. "I heard from some older ghosts that killing the mediator by our own hands would make us move on."
Seohyun saw San and Jiwoo both tense. "And you thought you'd check?"
The old man nodded. "The mediator before you... Some other ghost killed him. It was some sort of revenge. He was supposed to help me."
"I could help some other way, because killing me doesn't really sound like a solution to me... Like, think about it. It doesn't make sense."
"Are you sure you aren't saying that because you don't want to die yet?" The old man smirked.
"Oh please," Seohyun faked swagger, "If I had an option, I'd kill me too." San shook his head at her.
"Very well. I'll hear you out."
Seohyun explained that she knew an old shaman who helped ghosts with no purpose to move on. It took some convincing and death threats to Seohyun, but she finally made him realize that it might be his one and only option now, and that he should just 'stop being a pain and move the hell on'.
"If it turns out to be a scam, I promise I'll come for you, whether it helps me move on or not."
"Please do," Seohyun replied nonchalantly. The ghost signaled to Jiwoo and they disappeared.
San turned to see that Seohyun was now leaning against the wall, wiping sweat from her forehead as she sighed in relief. "Nice acting."
Seohyun looked at him once before drinking from her water bottle. She had noticed the disapproval in his voice. She stared at him when she was done, and he stared back for a good few seconds before he finally sighed loudly.
"How can you be so... stupid at times like these?"
"How was that stupid? I talked to him and poured sense into him. And it worked. I don't see the problem."
"Does your life mean nothing to you?" San asked.
"San, chill, it was just acting-"
"Those ghosts can touch you!" San was louder this time, making Seohyun flinch a little, "They can hurt you like any other human, hell, they can hurt you in worse ways than that! How can you be so relaxed when gambling with your life?!"
Seohyun watched as San ran a hand through his hair frustratingly, clearly holding himself back. His whole body was tense, his jaw was set and he was not having any of it.
"Are you done?" Seohyun asked, making sure it came out soft. San shook his head.
"I've been seeing ghosts my entire life. My mom took me to all sorts of people for help. You think I don't know how dangerous it is? I learned from the worst. And I'm old enough and experienced enough to know how to handle rogue ghosts like these. Trust me on that."
"I know you are, Seohyun," San admitted, "I just hate it when you talk about your life like it means nothing. Like you'd have no problem if something happened."
"Let's just say I haven't had something I'd like to live for yet," Seohyun said.
San locked eyes with her. "I'll make it change now."
"What?"
"There's so much to life. I know you haven't had the best life, but you have people you can rely on now. And I'll make sure you'll have something to live for."
"What do you live for?" Seohyun asked, curious.
San smiled. "My parents, my grandparents, my friends. And myself."
"Doesn't it... get too much? Living for all of them... must be hard. And boring."
"What's hard and boring is when I had nothing to live for," San said, "When life became repetitive, and I didn't really love anyone, including myself. But now... I have something to look forward to. And no matter if it gets hard, I'll have people to lean on. So ask yourself this, Seohyun. Is it hard living like me or is it hard living like you?"
San knew his words had crossed her, so he locked eyes with her for a second longer before he waved and left for home, leaving Seohyun wondering if she really had wasted all her life repelling people, and if it really had been a wise decision.

Still, I Rise
Tumblr media
Summary: Damn teenagers and their angst.
Author's Note: Back with another chapter, if you didn’t already know it I will be revealing our mystery character from the last chapter LOL please put down the bats and weapons (jk take them out it’s hilarious!) With this chapter we are getting closer to the “climax” and I am so excited to write the fun chapters I have planned ahead, one scene that I am really looking forward to writing is the camping trip, I had so much plans and events that I wanted to see that didn’t because TVN woke up and chose basic, we hate to see it. I can’t wait to rewrite history honestly also can’t wait to just move to onto regular schmegular teen problems, I swearrrrrrr.
"Don't you dare embarrass me this time. You aren't ugly why can't you get these damn little rich brats to like you? Are you truly this useless? Don't come home if you can't make this one fall for you!"
Those had been his father's final words right before his hand split his lower lip open with a razor sharp blow that made his head whip in recoil. His father's footsteps faded as he walked away leaving him crumpled on the ground, anger and embarrassment raging in his blood. He hadn't chosen this life at all, never wanted to be a bargaining chip for that despicable man. First with Eun Dan Oh and now this new girl, Kang Sujin.
She'd initially stood him up and he had felt foolish sitting in the lavish restaurant by himself, checking his phone but no calls or messages arrived.
His father had been livid that night, more vicious than usual his stepmother's weak screams served as the soundtrack for his brutal beating. Why couldn’t she just be quiet? Did it make her feel better when she acted as if she actually gave a shit about him? His brother coming into his room after with those pathetic weeping eyes and a bandage had only made him angrier, he shoved him away slamming the door in his face, refusing his help. He didn't need anyone, nobody could save him from his horrible fate.
It hadn't taken much research to find out her school and on impulse he'd gone there without her knowledge, watching from afar at first. A tiny girl with short hair framing her face had ran giggling into a taller girl with long dark hair and a classically beautiful face, they walked side by side smiling and laughing and that's when he'd heard her call out , "Sujin we should get something to eat!"
It wasn't love at first sight or anything ridiculous and disgustingly romantic like that, but he felt a connection to the girl for some inconceivable reason as if they were kindred spirits or something, maybe it was the remnant of a bruise he saw on her wrist hidden beneath her sweater.
It seemed they had more in common then he had initially believed, it was a grim similarity.
He'd gone home feeling less burdened than before, and his father's smile had been terrifying when he'd told him that he would work hard to win the girl over, only because he knew how quickly that smile could evaporate and his father could become the monster he was accustomed to. He tried not to flinch as the older man clapped him on the shoulder, his body already in fight or flight mode.
His father had merely smirked at his apparent fear.
Bastard.
So he'd taken to following the other girl around, she was going to be his fiancé anyway so he saw nothing wrong with it. And that was how he learned about the other boy, a tall slender boy who looked like someone that would grace an idol magazine cover. They were together more often than he liked, and it seemed more than platonic if the glances and subtle touches were a sign.
He wasn't jealous per se, but this would be a roadblock in his plan that he couldn't afford. He was getting used to not being beaten.
The day he'd followed them to the hospital presented another challenge for him, he hated hospitals and what they represented with every fiber of his being. He'd spent too much time in them growing up and then again for a girl who couldn't care less about him, she was another reminder that he wasn't worthy of love. He had thought he loved her but still hurt her whenever she disobeyed him, he knew he was no better than his father.
Unexpectedly Sujin had burst through the hospital doors, surprising him and forcing him to hide lest she spot him, peeking out from his hiding place behind a tree he saw her distraught and near tears running the opposite direction. He stood in shock merely watching and waiting to see if the unknown boy would follow her, but thankfully he never came.
Pushing down his own wariness and discomfort he walked into the hospital immediately feeling a cold chill on his skin, he refused to call it trauma that made it sound like something was wrong with him. He was fine and he could do this.
Thankfully the nurses were too busy and nobody noticed him walking by and he froze when he spotted another man who was capable of making him flinch. Doctor Kang, he looked anything but approachable in his gleaming white lab coat and he remembered watching the man laugh with his father as they both sold their children without remorse. Instinctively he hid watching the man glare into a hospital room, he almost feared for whomever was the recipient of the ice cold gaze.
Minutes melted by before the doctor finally walked away, his steps clipped and echoing on the linoleum floors and he finally let out a sigh of relief when the other man disappeared around the corner.
Stealthily he rounded the corner and took the doctor's abandoned spot, peeking into the room through the small window in the door. It was that boy again, the idol wannabe but this time he wasn't alone there was a young girl with a bouquet in her arms and a older woman lovingly patting him on his cheeks.
His mother.
A loving one, at that.
His blood seared watching the domestic scene, jealousy ripping through him like a tornado. There was no way he was letting this asshole have Sujin too, he already had too much. More than he, Baekyung would ever have.

                                                                The motorcycle roars under her thighs as they whip down the road. It only serves to remind her of the first time she was on a bike with another boy, his cologne and the scent of leather infiltrating her senses and making her heart jump through hoops. This time she feels nothing but annoyance and extreme frustration, barely holding onto the stranger in front of her as she leans forward to yell above the engine, "Pullover!"
She knows he heard her based on the immediate tension in his body but he continues to ride ignoring her request demand. With a grunt she grabs onto his waist only to bodily drag them to the side not caring if they both crash at this point she cannot stand another second on this bike with him, instantly he straightens them before skidding to the side and finally pulling the brakes bringing the motorcycle to a halt, the moment the bike stops she hops off in a frenzy.
Thrusting the bottom piece of his helmet up he screams at her, "Are you insane? You could have hurt us!"
She bares her teeth at him, ready to unleash her full anger on him now without an audience.
"Who the fuck are you? And why did you come to my school?" She bellows glaring poisonously at the strange idiot who had single handedly upended her day.
Moving calmer than she's feeling, he dismounts finally pulling his helmet off and then squeezing it under his arm looking down at her.
With a condescending look he stares at her, "You know exactly who I am, don't play dumb it's beneath you."
He's right. She does know who he is although she had never seen him or known his name, she had truly thought she could ignore him and he would disappear. Just like with her father that was proving to be an erroneous dream that would never come true.
"But I'll formally introduce myself since we are going to be engaged soon after all, Baekyung. You can call me oppa though."
Engaged soon.
Her head spins from his words, she feels terror shift over her like a thick suffocating blanket.
"You don't even know me. Why would you even agree to this?" She stares at him in disbelief, at a loss to his acquiesce to their tragic fate.
The look in his eyes haunt her, it's like staring in a mirror and gazing back at the person she was months ago. Somehow without her knowledge or consent she'd changed, grown even and therefore started believing that her life was just that, hers.
"You act like we have a choice. Don't be stupid, we have to just do as we're told. It's easier this way for everyone." He repeats those words that she herself had uttered to Seojun not so long ago, a sense of deja vu washes over her.
"How is letting ourselves be used easier? Don't you have your own dreams or aspirations? Isn't there someone you actually like?" She knows the error of her argument immediately as she says it, his eyes narrow into thin enraged slits and she can practically feel the anger vibrating off him.
"Don't pretend to care about me. This is about you and your little boyfriend," he spits the word like acid and immediately she remembers those chilling words he had whispered in her eyes earlier, "Do you think he'll be safe?" That was all it had taken for her to go with him, he couldn't get hurt she wouldn't allow that to happen ever. She had no idea what those ominous words meant and how this boy could pose a threat to Seojun but she knew she had to hear him out and protect Seojun anyway she possibly could.
"He's not the only one you should be worried about." The smug bastard continues with a humorless grin on his face and suddenly the dots connect, her father outside of Ms. Han's hospital room and that calculating look on his face. Her stomach drops.
"Leave them out of it!" She screams embarrassed at the urgent plea in her voice but she can't help it, she's so scared more than she's ever been for herself.
"Well that all depends on you doesn't it? Your dear father will have no reason to do anything to them if you listen like a good daughter and date me as expected."
She stands frozen once again feeling helpless, it kills her inside all her growth slipping down the drain in a matter of seconds.
"Why are you doing this?"
He stills at her question, his cold mask dropping and leaving something numb and unreadable in its place. It feels familiar to her, she awaits his answer with bated breath.
"I want to live, even if I have no control over it. I'd rather be alive."
Thunder clashes above them, the previously sunny day shifting into a gray dark distortion, heavy storm clouds ominously loom above them and the first raindrops land perfectly on her cheeks, crying the tears that she refuses to let fall. She has no more left to cry.
Tumblr media
Confusion is an understatement to express Su-ah's true feelings following the mysterious boy on the motorcycle, when she finally gets Sujin on the phone the other girl is quiet and mumbling, evading all her questions and as soon as she mentions Seojun, Sujin shuts down hastily ending their conversation with some nonsensical excuse.
That was not going to be the end, Sujin might want to play dumb about the true nature of their relationship but she wasn't part of the circus. She was no clown, she had eyes and it was clear that they liked each other and it was only growing the more time they spent together. She wouldn't let her best friend sabotage something that could be great for her, she deserved happiness and Seojun made her happy. So it was truly that simple.
Stomping up the slight incline to school, she huffs and puffs determined. She was going to talk some sense into the other girl.
Those thoughts come crashing all around her when she sees Sujin coming out of a car, a car that she has never seen before and her questions are answered when the boy from yesterday steps out after her. Every eye in a ten mile radius is watching them, captivated by this new school scandal. Girls already squealing and giggling, envious of Sujin and doing very little to hide their true feelings.
“Why is he with her? She isn’t even that pretty. He should be with me.”
The lies people told themselves to sleep at nights, sad.
Accidentally knocking the gossiping girl to the side with a rough shoulder check, ignoring her dramatic cry she sprints the rest of the way, once again pushing through the crowd to get to Sujin.
Immediately their eyes lock and she begs Sujin for a answers, What happened? Why are you doing this? What’s going?,  she flinches at the cold emotionless stare she gets in response. She watches in dismay as the tall boy bends down as if to hug Sujin and that's when a loud grumble fills the air, she turns around to the all too familiar sight of Seojun on his motorcycle. He revs the handle bar causing the crowd to part like the Red Sea, then he rides slowly until he's right next to Sujin bike inches away from touching her.
With a practiced motion he tugs off his helmet, those sloping feline eyes already on Sujin in a hard stare.
The tension is insurmountable and cloying and Su-ah watches transfixed before Sujin breaks the impasse, tugging her bookbag over her shoulder she stomps into the school without a word to either boys. But then the interloping boy calls out, “Have a good day. Princess,” and Sujin stops immediately at the word, turning around with a ferocious look in her eyes, “Don’t call me that. My name is Kang Sujin to you. That’s all.” Su-ah sees the way that Sujin’s eyes almost subconsciously seek out a certain cat eyed boy and feels like she misses an entire conversation between the two before Sujin finally walks away.
The mysterious boy glares at her retreating back before shooting a cold glare at Seojun and then promptly hopping back into his car, the backseat as he's chauffeured away.
"Oh my god! That was so hot! Princess?”
"Who is that? Does Kang Sujin have a boyfriend? Wow, she’s mean to her boyfriend too. What a bitch.”
Why do you think Seojun looked so angry?"
"Maybe he's worried about losing his bad boy title!"
The crowd erupts around them in loud voices, all curious about what they've witnessed and already creating rumors to appease their curiosity. Suddenly a loud motorcycle screech causes them all to jump silence falling over the crowd before Seojun rides away, the tight clench in his jaw visible even from her distance.

Lunch is a step above awkward, bordering into painful. The easy conversation that used to be a staple of the table is all but decimated, instead everyone eats quietly chilled by the cold air permeating from both Seojun and Sujin. They only speak when spoken to and avoid all eye contact, especially each others. It's painful to be a witness to and she notes regretfully that neither are eating home made lunch today, opting for the school lunch instead.
Sujin had never officially told her but she knew that they were making food for each other, their smiles watching the other eat made it too obvious.
This was serious. Looking at them now they looked like complete strangers, everyone was too nervous to question the elephant in the room. Everyone except poor Chorong.
"Why is everyone was so awkward today? What did you two fight or something? Why do we all have to suffer because of your lover's quarrel? Just kiss and make up already."
The table all looked on with opened mouths except Suho and herself who both looked worried instead.
And people thought she was slow, how had they all not realized what was happening? It was clear as day.
She flinches at his well-meaning words that are evidently not well received by either teen, watching them both glare at the table unmoving and the silence drags out painfully before Seojun breaks the stalemate. Standing without preamble he glares at Chorong before placing the stare on Sujin, it does nothing to change her unaffected stare. With a loud sigh he stomps away, despite his friends dismayed shouts of his name.
She continues to eat her lunch, watching Sujin in her peripheral.
She looks like she has the weight of the world on her shoulder and Su-ah for the first time in their friendship has no idea what to do.
But when they all start to funnel out of the cafeteria she follows the other girl anyway, tugging her into an enclave where they are hidden from the rest of their classmates Sujin cries out at the sudden jerk but loses her defensive stance when she realizes it’s just her.
“What?”
“What’s going on? Why are you letting that punk bring you to school and why are you and Han Seojun acting like you broke up before you even started officially dating? Sujin-ah, please tell me what’s going on.” She pleads latching onto the other girl’s arm peering up at her with puppy dog eyes, they have never failed her before.
“I can’t tell you yet, I’m sorry.”
There’s a first time for everything and she frowns at Sujin feeling like there is a mountain between them. She can’t help the hurt that she feels knowing the other girl doesn’t trust her enough to tell her what’s going on. She thought they had moved past all the secrets and hiding but obviously she was wrong.
“I really am sorry. But I will tell you everything soon enough.”
She releases Sujin’s arm, ready to walk away. She hates being in the dark. But before she can walk away, she feels Sujin hand on the bottom of her sweater tugging her backwards, she looks back with a perplexed glare.
“Do you trust me?”
She stares at Sujin and the soft tilt of her head as she asks the question, and her answer is easy, although she has no idea what’s going on and none of this makes any sense to her she doesn’t have to think about that answer.
Tumblr media
"You shouldn't do this to him. It's too cruel." Suho expects a biting retort or even a call for him to mind this damn business, so he's shocked breathless when instead the other girl smiles at him, a tiny almost indecipherable thing that makes her lips thinner.
"You two have come a long way." Sujin responds unexpectedly shaking her head and walking over to the couch, before beckoning him over too.
He stares feeling suspicious but ultimately he follows, curiosity winning.
"I think I'm ready." Sujin expels a deep breath, twisting her hands nervously in her lap. Before he can ask her what exactly she's ready for she continues, "I want to tell your father what happened if you really think he'll help me."
He's too late to swallow the strangled gasp that escapes from his lungs and he leans back in surprise. He wants to continue his conversation about Seojun but he’s scared to do anything to make the other girl retreat or change her mind now. That conversation will have to wait for another day.
Sorry Seojun.
"Are you sure? You're really ready to do this?"
There's a long pause and he watches a myriad of emotions run across Sujin's usually expressionless face until something that looks suspiciously like hope blossoms making her glow brighter than the sun.
"Yes. I want to try living just for me."
Blinking away the moisture in his eyes, he pulls out his cellphone sending his father a message.
Please come over.
It only takes seconds but it feels like an eternity before his father replies, he smiles at the message.
On my way.
He stands up to put the kettle on the fire, he knows that tonight will be a long night and he needs something to keep his hands occupied.
When his doorbell rings he's shocked when Sujin stands up looking at him with a serene gaze, "I'll get it." He only nods at her in reply, watching as she greets his father and man recovers quickly at the unexpected visitor, smiling warmly at Sujin before pulling her into a warm embrace.
Even more surprisingly Sujin doesn't flinch, allowing herself to be wrapped up.
His father embraces him as well, patting him on the back and again on the head when they break apart. He can feel Sujin's eyes on them and he moves away guiltily. Now isn’t the time to rub his burgeoning relationship with his father in her face.
"Have a seat Dad, thank you for coming so quickly."
His father lifts an eyebrow at the sudden serious tone of his voice but he follows his directions nonetheless folding his hands on his lap and looking inquisitively between the two teenagers.
"Is there something you both want to tell me? Perhaps you two are....." His father motions vaguely between them and he stares back not comprehending until his father smiles slyly and Sujin beats him to it, protesting ardently.
"No! No, it's nothing like that. There's someone else...I mean no. That's what what we wanted to talk about."
He raises an eyebrow at Sujin's slip and his father chuckles at her stuttering and the red blaze across her cheeks.
His father waves his arms in appeal, apologetic grin on his face. "Sorry I didn't mean to embarrass you both. I just always hoped you two might one day. A father can dream."
He scoffs at his father, "Give up on that dream she's like family to me. We would never see each other that day."
Sujin nods passionately in agreement and his father shrugs easily, now looking even more curious than before.
"So what did you want to talk about?"
Sujin stills on her spot on the couch, the determination in her bones seeming to melt away with every passing minute. He fears this won't go as planned and he has no idea how to motivate her.
Then a loud vibration rumbles from the couch and it takes Sujin a moment to realize it's her phone, he watches curiously as she looks at the message and then a single tear runs down her round cheek. The determination curls back around her like armor, he watches in amazement as she sits taller turning to look at his father with newfound courage or maybe it wasn’t newfound but suddenly uncovered by whatever she had seen on her phone.
“Suho asked you for help for me. I’m really the one who needs your help.” He can hear the slight quiver and hitches in her words but she gets them all out and instantly she has his father’s undivided attention, he even turns his body to fully face the girl. Pride swells in his chest at the sight, he was worried his father would only be adamant about helping him directly as a way to get closer to him but now he can see that he was wrong about the other man. Genuine concern fills every line and wrinkle of time on his face.
“What is wrong? What do you need help with and why can’t you tell your parents?” It’s a innocent question, and logical too but he fears Sujin’s reaction, when she feels like she is backed into a corner in the past that has led to her lashing out with dagger sharp remarks, he watches with his heart lodged in his throat.
“Because they are the ones hurting me.”
His lungs deflate releasing all the air that was trapped in the sacs, she said the truth without hesitation and he turns to glance at his father watching him process the bomb that she has just dropped on him. His father opens and closes his mouth several times, before finding his voice it is but a whisper when he responds to Sujin.
“That time you needed a doctor.” The statement is directed to Suho and with a sober nod he confirms what his father already knows, with a loud sigh his father sinks into the couch quiet rage on his face. “I should have known, you always seemed so scared of him but I thought it was just his parenting style I never thought...never expected that he would....I should have done something!”
Sujin laughs, it is pained and small but he hears it and immediately turns to look at her, “He sounds just like you like father like son I guess,” Sujin directs that at him and he blushes in memory, he can’t deny the claims. Then she turns back to his father with surprisingly soft eyes, “Don’t blame yourself, just help me now if you can.”
“I will use all of my resources to make sure he spends his life in jail.”
Suho jumps in his seat looking over at Sujin, that is way more than they had ever discussed that was what he truly wanted for the monstrous man but it always seemed like too much to ask for but here was his father saying it as if it was completely plausible.
“Jail? Do you really think he can go to jail? It would be his word against mine, I never took any pictures. I was stupid.” Sujin berates herself, and before he can dismiss the self inflicted insult his father is already moving closer and putting a large hand on her trembling shoulder, only then does he realize how the girl is shaking like a new leaf.
“No, it will be my word against his. I will also get that report from Doctor Kim, that could be used as evidence. You’re just a kid and a victim, I’ll handle this you don’t need to do anything else. You’ve handled enough on your own, we got you now.” His father looks over at him as if waiting for his approval and he moves onto the couch with them both, after a moment’s pause putting his hand on Sujin’s other shoulder.
“We got you.”
Tumblr media
Jukyeong glances over nervously at Seojun the aroma of coffee thick in the air as she sweeps up the beans she had clumsily spilled on the ground, she waited for Seojun to playfully scold her as he often did when she messed up at work but the reprimand never came and when she glanced over at him he had been staring longing at his cellphone.
Su-ah had been the first to notice how weird him and Sujin acted around each other and despite not having a lot of experience with relationships, especially those of the romantic kind she could see that they didn’t hate each other as much as Sujin tried to drive the deceptive point home. They were always teasing each other and Seojun found any excuse to be near Sujin and soon he wasn’t the only one, they just seemed to naturally gravitate to each other at times bickering so much it was like they were the only two people in the room.
But all that had come to an abrupt end with the sudden appearance of the boy on the motorcycle, the entire school was in a uproar over him, Baek Kyung, she had heard the other girls whispering his name. On paper he seemed very similar to Han Seojun, same bad boy persona and affinity for motorcycles and glares. But the biggest difference she noticed was Sujin's reaction to them both, she had heard from some gossiping girls how vehemently Sujin had declared that Baek Kyung not call her “princess”, a moniker she had commonly heard Seojun use to refer to the girl.  Sujin never stopped him these days, instead rolling her eyes and speeding up to escape from him, he would chase after all calling her the sweet nickname all the way.
When Seojun would use it to refer to her in passing such as, “Are you gonna eat that princess?” Those were times that Sujin didn’t react at all, simply handing him whatever food in her container had caught his eye that she had ignored.
They were casually domestic in a way that they never seemed to realize and she couldn’t help but categorize. Seojun liked Sujin that was becoming clearer and it seemed like the feeling was mutual, even if the girl wasn’t yet ready to admit it.
Which was why this new development came as a complete shock to her, why was Sujin suddenly giving her attention to someone else?
“Did you guys have a fight? Just tell her you’re sorry.” She offers out of the blue, and Seojun turns to her with a puzzled look drying a mug with a cloth, “What are you talking about now clumsy?”
Thankfully the shop is empty, she quirks at eyebrow at him folding her arm when he continues to play dumb.
“Sujin. You guys clearly had a fight, you’re both so hot tempered. Her temper is probably worst than yours though so just apologize okay? It’s better than fighting.”
He stares at her with a blank face before turning away, rubbing firmer at the mug in his hands and she worries for its safety.
“Why should I apologize when she’s the one who’s with another guy? Don’t worry about me, I will be fine. Clearly this was one-sided. She doesn’t like me.”
She openly laughs at him now, looking at him like he has two heads. “What are you talking about? If she didn’t like you then why did she follow you to your mom’s hospital? She tried to be all sneaky but Chorong told us everything. Plus she always gets jealous when other girls give you food at school and don’t think we don’t all know that you guys make food for each other!”
He whips around looking at her with huge eyes, “Wait you all knew? So when I said that someone special made it for me? You knew?”
She smiles brightly, “Yep. It wasn’t subtle at all.”
He sighs in annoyance, turning away to hide the pink on his face.
“I’m not apologizing. I didn’t do anything wrong.”
She sighs at the boy’s words, knowing that this fight might go on longer than it needs to and she wishes she could just shake some sense into both of them, why were they choosing to suffer like this?
Damn teenagers and their angst.
Grumbling she goes to take a customer’s order, glancing over at Seojun with a final sad smile.
Hopefully they can figure this out without falling apart.
Tumblr media
Time seems to move slower than usual today and he almost pumps a fist in  triumph when he sees that it’s finally eight and they are free to leave.
“Do you want to me to walk you to the bus stop?” He offers Jukyeong out of politeness but she shakes her head no, telling him that she is going to meet with her older sister for dinner running out before him and hailing a cab, he smiles at the sight that’s one girl who loves to eat.
Turning off the lights in the shop, he turns over the “open” sign and locks the door behind him. The cool spring night air brushes against his cheeks and he makes his way to his motorcycle, mounting in one motion and sighing as it purrs to life before he speeds off his destination already in mind. He bobs and weaves through traffic, smirking at idiot drivers who blare their horns at him when he inches too close to their precious car but even they are not enough to rain on his parade.
When he finally arrives, he bounces off the bike throwing the helmet onto the handlebar carelessly before bounding over to the figure he sees waiting.
He can’t help the smile that tugs against his lips, ultimately setting it free as the figure turns around at the sound of his boot stomping on the ground.
“Did you wait long?” He asks moving closer until he can feel the heat wafting off the body in front of him.
“No, I only just got here too. Why are you smiling like that? You look deranged.”
He smiles wider, feeling mischievous after what a certain klutz had revealed to him with a smirk he leans closer to her, grinning harder when she leans back looking at him with a confused glare.
“I heard from a certain birdie that you followed me to the hospital and that you get jealous when other girls give me food. Is that true princess?”
Sujin growls at him, shoving his shoulder hard before stomping away to the park bench. He eagerly follows after her, throwing his arm over her shoulder smiling at her wearing yet another one of his sweaters, this time a black one that reaches the bottom of her knees and completely hides whatever she is wearing underneath. She looks equally sexy as adorable and it makes his blood boil in a way he has been trying harder and harder to suppress around her.
“I knew you would try to milk the situation. This isn’t why I told you everything.”
He smiles recalling what Sujin is referring to.
Just a day go.....
He stares angrily at his phone in utter disbelief that she would have the gall to call him after what had just happened. She had left on another boy’s motorcycle even though he had asked her not to, he didn’t know what was going on but seeing her leave like that, he wished he knew how to turn off all his feelings for her. No other human should have this kind of power or control over him but here he was ready to burst because she had picked someone else over him.
“What do you want?” He barks out answering the call with a hard press of his finger and immediately he starts to lose some of his fire when he hears her soft staggered breaths on the other line.
“Seojun, can you meet me somewhere?”
He wants to say no, to bitterly hang up on her and tell her that he has someone new too but that would be a lie and he desperately wants to see her and hold her and find out why she decided to rip his heart out and stomp on it.
Feeling pathethic he answers her with a sigh, “Where are you?”
Songnisan park. It’s not too far from their school and he hangs up without answering hopping on his bike and riding to her. Maybe it’s stupid but he can’t turn his back on her just yet, he still wants to hear her out even if she’s going to break his heart.
By the time he reaches the park it’s raining, pouring down in sheets despite the warm weather and he immediately sees Sujin sitting under the downpour while other park goers are running and using picnic blankets as makeshift umbrellas.
The scenes feels all too familiar and he wonders if this will be their end? Would life be that poetic to have them end the same way they became?
Sighing he tugs his sweater off, walking quickly to close the gap between them before sitting beside her and thrusting his sweater above both their heads, protecting them from the rain.
She turns to him with a gasp and he realizes how closely they are sitting beside each other, he can feel her breath when she exhales and it washes over in an intoxicating breeze. He has to forcibly put some distance between them before he does something that he knows he shouldn’t, especially not now.
“My father knows about us. He saw me at the hospital and I’m scared he saw your mother and sister too. I don’t think I should visit anymore.”
He pauses to process her words and he feels his chest tighten with anger at the mention of that sub-human, if he ever tried to harm a hair on his family’s head that would be the last thing he ever did. But once the rage passes by he thinks of the rest of Sujin’s sentence, my father knows about us.
They were an us.
There was an us for people to know about?
“Us?” He replies stupidly, unable to stop his heart from fluttering.
With a sound of exasperation she looks over at him, “How is that the most important thing that I said?” The pretty blush on her face does not go unnoticed but he responds to her statement staying focused, “My mom was discharged today. They said it was just a scare and nothing serious. He can’t do anything to us, if he tries I’ll kill him.”
He means it, every single word falling from his lips.
He’s not prepared for Sujin to sob and drop her head onto his shoulder, he drops their sweater umbrella at the sudden pleasant weight feeling the rain drench his hair and shirt instantly.
“I’m so happy to hear that. I was so worried about all of you.”
A bubble of happiness explodes in his chest and he’s so close to just letting go of all his anger and holding her, seeing her so worried about his family is almost enough to undo him.
But, he can’t forget the image of her riding off with someone else. His heart will never forget that ache, that indescribable pain.
“So you care about me now? Is that why you left me like that today? Because you care so much?”
He is being petty, he knows that but he can’t stop the jealousy that is fueling him right now. His green eyed monster is raring its ugly head.
“That’s the guy you told me to stand up, remember? That’s the guy my father is trying to sell me to. He’s been following us and he knew about you, he threatened you. I did what I had to, I have to do this until I speak to Suho’s father. I think.....No. I’m ready now. I’m going to tell him everything and ask for his help.”
His heart is pounding erratically in his chest, he can barely hear the rain over the loud thumping of the organ and he can’t believe he ever doubted her, feels guilt twist around him but he pushes that aside to take in everything she has confessed to him, without saying the words she has all but confirmed everything Jukyeong carelessly exposed to him in the coffee shop, she cares about him too enough to want to protect him at any cost. But most importantly she was starting to care about herself, she no longer saw her life as expendable and was willing to ask for help even at the expense of revealing her darkest secret and getting her hopes up.
Fuck she was the bravest person he knew.
Without thinking he tugs her into his arms, wrapping her in a tight hug before he realizes what he’s doing but by the time he starts to move back she’s already hugging him back, her arms tight around his shoulder and her head in the dip of his neck and it’s too perfect to stop now. Absently he strokes her wet silky smooth hair and when they finally draw apart, the barest amount of space between them he takes another risk, glancing at her eyes pleading and then smiling when she nods, giving him permission even without knowing what he plans to do, simply trusting him, he leans forward and plants a soft butterfly kiss on her forehead, she hisses in response but instead of moving away she latches on to him tighter.
“I’m so proud of you baby.” He kisses her again, firmer this time putting all the love and pride he feels for her in that gentle kiss to her brow.
He expects a lot of things in response to his bold move and the new nickname, a punch, a kick, her loud denial and rejection, he is emotionally prepared for any and all of those reactions, but instead she steals his breath away when she smiles up at him, looking into his eyes and he realizes that she’s looking for permission too and he nods, nervous and anxious to see what she will do.
With a moment’s hesitation she tugs him down and he goes easily, his heart in his chest and he closes his eyes as her face draws closer to him, his heart is pattering now a crazy thundering mess filled to the brim with anticipation.
He feels her plush lips against his cheek, the rain making the skin slick and he hums in encouragement as the kiss lingers before he opens his eyes and immediately they are lost in each other’s eyes and he can feel their faces moving closer as if opposite ends of a magnet and he waits for her to stop them, to push him away and run off but she is just as lost as him, moving closer too and when only centimeters separate their lips, a loud crash of thunder booms high above their heads making them jump apart, both flying to opposite ends of the bench.
“We should...um get out of this rain before we catch a cold.”
The ride home is awkward and he can barely breathe with how tightly she’s holding his waist but he smiles through the rain, taking care to move carefully on the wet streets not wanting to hurt Sujin and then they are in front of Suho’s apartment, much too fast to his disappointment.
They both sit unmoving for a few seconds before Sujin releases his waist from her death grip and gets off the bike.
“Let’s talk over there for a minute.” He states dismounting too and walking over to the scaffold so they can escape the torrential rain for a moment at least.
They stand awkwardly shivering from the cold in their wet clothes, it’s obvious that Sujin is embarrassed about what happened- their kisses-but he can barely contain his joy, if he were alone right now he would be doing backflips.
This day as made a complete 180 turn for the better.
“I have to pretend to date him. We already agreed to come to school tomorrow. He agreed to stop following me if I let him take me to school and go on dates. He has to put on a show for his father too.” She says talking so fast that the words slur together and he wonders absently if she’s nervous? And if so, why? Was she nervous about his reaction?
He nods in understanding, “Okay. I forgot to say it earlier, but thank you for telling me and not leaving me in the dark. I appreciate it.”
That’s the logical part of his response, he knows what it took for Sujin to involve him in her plan and how huge it is that she hadn’t wanted him to misunderstand her feelings and motives. But she’s still the girl that he likes and he can’t help the illogical things that flood his mind too.
“Not on his motorcycle though.”
She looks at him with a deep searching stare and he simply stares back, nonplussed. He knows what he sounds like, a bargaining jealous boyfriend. That’s exactly what he wants to be so he sees no reason to attempt to explain himself, whatever she’s thinking is true and he isn’t the least bit ashamed to admit it. At his unabashed stare she crumples looking away with a barely hidden smile, “Okay. Not on his bike. Even though I never told you that you were allowed to have conditions, this isn’t a negotiation.” She complains but the sting is gone because she has already agreed to his request, he flashes a smile at her.
“Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow. I will have to act jealous, that shouldn’t be too hard.” He winks at her and this time she does try to punch him, he barely dodges her fist.
Such a violent little thing.
“I never said you had to do anything.”
He shrugs, “It makes sense. I like you so it would only make sense that I would be jealous if I thought you were dating someone else, plus he will probably want to see that too.”
She’s as red as a strawberry as she sprints away from him without another word, waving at him over her shoulder.
He smiles all the way home, before falling into bed after a much needed warm shower, his toes and fingers were like ice chips when he finally got home.
Remembering one more thing, he grabs his phone shooting a quick text message.
Don’t let him call you nicknames. Only Sujin.
Reading it back he determines that the message is a bit too...commanding and if he wants to keep a certain boot out of his ass he better fix it so he swiftly adds:
Please.
Tumblr media
Present time....
“I didn't do anything. She just suddenly started telling me how much you adore me and how you can’t live without me and that I should just forgive you and take you back.” He sniffles dramatically watching amused as Sujin rolls her eyes, before angrily pulling out her phone, he laughs suddenly worried for Jukyeong so he snatches the object from her hands, much to her chagrin.
“I might have exaggerated about what she said, a teeny tiny bit.” He demonstrates the small amount with his fingers and she glares at him biting out, “Liar,” before snatching back her phone and stuffing it in her pockets with a grumble.
Getting serious he turns to look at her with anticipation, “How did it go? Were you able to tell him everything?” She is staring out at the horizon, despite him boring a hole in the side of her head begging for eye contact.
“I hesitated. I lost my confidence.”
He can hear the defeat in her voice and without a pause he opens his mouth to comfort her and tell her how strong she is and explain why this is just a minor setback but next time they can go together and if she needs him to he will hold her hand the entire time and give her every last drop of his support and--
“But then I got a message and it gave me courage. So I told him everything and he agreed to help me. He wants to send my dad to jail, not just emancipate me.”
She did it.
She really did it.
He smiles at her wider than the ocean.
“You did it, Sujin.”
She stares at him in palpable shock, he immediately knows why it’s not often he uses her name and he expects her to be happy that he isn’t calling her the nickname she is always dismissing, she’s always so adamant that she is not a princess much less his princess.
“Don’t call me that.” She says finally turning to meet his eyes and he stares back confused because he had only said her name, why was that a problem? Wasn’t that what she had been trying to get him to call her since the first time he dubbed her princess?
“What do you want me to call you then?”
He is truly asking but the look she gives him makes him feel like the dunce in the corner of the room and realization unfurls in his body like a slow moving tsunami and he smiles unbridled at the epiphany.
He hasn’t wanted to get his hopes up by making assumptions about what this is but maybe it’s time that he have some confidence now, he was someone important to her. She had already proved that in so many ways these past days.
Taking her hand in his, he smiles brightly at her.
It’s the first time that he has held her hand, and he can feel the damaged skin in his own smoother hand. His heart aches for only a moment, her hands are just like her they might look bruised and pitiful at first glance but beneath the broken surface lurked unimaginable strength and power and just like the rest of her, they were imperfectly perfect. He never wanted to hold another hand, this was the only one he needed.
“Good job, you did it Princess.”
She smiles up at him, looking gorgeous-heart stoppingly so-and he can’t help the way his chest constricts as if he didn’t know it already he knows it now unequivocally .
He, Han Seojun belongs to Kang Sujin.

Thirty minutes later Bokuto sent you a message saying that he had already arrived at the hotel to pick you up. Emiko jumped off her bed with a big smile on her lips. When you told her about your date, she was too happy for you. Her plan had finally come to an end.
“Have a lot of fun, y/n!” she said as she walked you to the exit. “Don't worry, I'll keep Tendou busy while you're on your date. Do not be late!”
Emiko hugged you and you walked out the door to meet a nervous Bokuto, who had a bunch of broken flowers in his hand. Seeing you, his face flushed, and looking down he handed you the flowers.
“Thank you... They are beautiful, but what happened to them?” you said with a small smile, taking his gift with both hands.
Bokuto laughed as he remembered what had happened. Then he began to explain the situation to you while walking towards a destination unknown to you.
“It's really a funny story,” he laughed. “There is a flower shop on the corner of my house, I bought some that seemed very nice, as you can see. But when I was walking towards your hotel, I noticed that there was a bee inside them! I got so scared that the flowers fell to the ground, and someone accidentally stepped on them.”
Koutarou let a laugh out of his mouth. Hearing him laugh, you did too. By laughing, the uncomfortable atmosphere had already vanished, the conversation was much more fluid, and there were no more silences that could cause more discomfort.
After fifteen minutes of walking, Bokuto stopped and pointed to your left, indicating that you had already reached your destination. Looking where he had pointed, you found a large building. A sign at the entrance indicated that you arrived at ‘Fukurodani Academy'. It was the school where Koutarou went.
“Don't tell me we're going to play volleyball. I didn't bring suitable clothes to do it!”
Bokuto laughed once more, shaking his head; and with great courage, he took your hand to start leading you into the school.
It was not yet night, it was almost six in the afternoon so the sun was still in the sky. The school was quite bright, but there was no one on the grounds. Which scared you a bit, maybe you were trespassing. Like, you were doing illegal things. Forbidden things!
'I don't want to go to jail! I am very young!' you thought looking back and forth looking for the blue and red lights, which would indicate that the police were nearby. But despite frantically searching, no one was there besides you and Bokuto.
Koutarou was ahead of you, guiding you through the entire school until you reached the gym. He turned to see you and noticed your scared face.
“Are we trespassing?” you asked. “Look Bokuto, I like you, but I don't want to go to jail. I'm barely seventeen years old!”
“Oh y/n, sorry. I should have told you before” he said releasing your hand and opening the gym door. “They let us come to train whenever we want, that's why we were able to enter. The police won't come to take us, I promise.”
Once inside the gym, a bit calmer, you saw a table in the middle of it, with two chairs next to it. On the table were two plates of food, and also a large pink cake.
The two of you walked to the middle of the court and sat on the chairs.
“I didn't know you were so romantic, Koutarou.” Just like the other time, Bokuto blushed when he heard his name come out of your mouth. Then you looked at what was on the plates: a large portion of your favorite food. “How did you know that this is what I like the most?”
“Emiko told me... Well I asked her actually” he said pouring water into a glass, and then he served you too. “And with the romantic thing, I don't think so. Akaashi, and the whole team as well, helped me do this. I also made this strawberry cake! It's not going to be as delicious as the one you made the other day, but give it a try!”
You blushed. You were flattered that not only had he done all this for you, but that he had also filled out your recipe, and tried to recreate it to surprise you.
Dinner flowed smoothly, the two of you laughing the entire time, talking about everything but volleyball. Just as you promised.
After finishing the meal, Bokuto cut the strawberry cake that he had made. To tell the truth, it was horrible. Raw on the inside and burned on the outside, your stomach wanted to vomit. But instead of spitting it out and expressing how disgusting it was, you decided it was better to try really hard to swallow the piece of cake and encourage him to keep practicing so that you could improve; even if you could tell that the kitchen wasn't Bokuto's strongest field.
It was getting late now, and the moon was already looming in the sky. It was time to go back to the hotel.
Of course, Bokuto accompanied you to where you were staying. Upon reaching the entrance, Koutarou took your hand and turned you around so you could see him.
“So, I guess this is the goodbye…” he said with a little blush, but with a hint of sadness in his eyes.
“Yep” you didn't know what to say to him. You didn't want to leave yet, these days hadn't been enough to really get to know him.
“I…” “I think…”
You both said at the same time.
“You first,” you said quickly. You needed a little more time before you could say something that comes from your heart.
“Okay… I know we don't know each other very well, but I do know that I want to. I want to know you even more, ” Bokuto began, looking down more and more. All the courage he had inside him had been exhausted by taking you by the hand twice already. “Maybe I could come to visit Miyagi in a few weeks, or you can come here again, you can stay at my place! Only if you want, of course.”
Now you were the one blushing. Energy went through your body. You have never felt something like this before.
“Seems right to me. You can also stay at my house if you come during the weekend. You might not know this, but I live inside the school from Monday to Friday” you said and Bokuto raised his head. “I think I should go now. Thanks for everything, Bokuto, I've had a great time.”
Bokuto said goodbye to you and finally released your hand. Which caused a weird reaction in your body, you didn't know what it was, but you wanted his hand to be close to yours again.
“Koutarou, wait!”  you yelled at him before entering the hotel, and when you came running to where he was, your arms wrapped around his neck. “Maybe we are both the losers of the Nationals, but we won something much more important than a stupid trophy.”
And when the two of you broke the hug, you planted a big kiss on his cheek; then quickly returned to the lobby.
'I shouldn't have done that' you thought as you passed the doorway.
“That was the cheesiest thing I've ever seen in my life,” said a voice that came from next to you.
Turning your head you found Tendou, watching you with crossed arms.
Now your worst nightmare had come true: Satori found out that you went on a date with Bokuto.

Tumblr media
This dark, dusty hallway seems to never end. It feels like I've been wandering for hours, yet it feels like no time has passed. It feels familiar, like a fragment of a memory, yet it feels fabricated. It feels like a lot of things, but I feel…nothing. It's so surreal, yet so natural.
I watch myself from above. My body is floating, light as a feather. Am I spirit? No. How do I know? I don't. But I can see myself right there, standing on the floor next to my friend. I think it's him. His face is a blur, but I can see just enough to be sure.
We're talking. Nothing being said makes sense, yet it all makes sense. He's getting closer to me. Now I feel something, an urge, a whim. He's leaning in, closer and closer, and…
[Y/n]’s eyes fluttered open. She was curled up under the covers of one of the guest room beds. It must have been late morning, because the sun was peaking brightly between the curtains.
For a second, everything was okay. Then, she frowned upon realizing what just happened. Kissing Zuko, what a dream. Really, it could never be a reality. Last night, when they got to the beach, him and Mai made up and got back together. They even kissed right in front of [y/n]. It hurt to watch.
Fortunately for her, they were returning home today. [Y/n] could forget about this trip and go back to living her normal, boring life, something she never thought she would miss. As she packed her bag, she once again thought of that moment from last night. The memory was burned into her brain. No matter how hard she tried to push it away, it kept coming back. And every time, she wondered if what she saw was real. She sure wished it was.
Even if he really did, he could’ve been acting in the heat of the moment. He probably would’ve regretted it afterward. Yeah...why would he kiss his best friend? And a commoner at that? And while he clearly still has feelings for Mai? That would be ridiculous.
Tumblr media
[One week later]
Knock, knock, knock.
[Y/n] propped herself up on her elbows and wiped her groggy eyes. It wasn’t unusual to have visitors—her family and neighbors often did favors for each other—but it was rather early in the day for one.
“Just a second!” [Y/n] called out. She tossed the covers aside, quickly threw on a robe and put her hair up in a messy bun.
Damn, I was really hoping to sleep in today. I hope it’s not someone important.
She opened the door.
“Hello, [y/n]!” A teenaged boy in a regal tunic with a scar on his face stood before her. He smiled brightly and waved his hand. [Y/n] felt her heart skip a beat.
“Oh! Um, hi, Zuko,” she replied.
“I hope you don’t mind me stopping by,” Zuko chirped, “I thought we could hang out today, if you want. Your mom told me you have the day off.”
He wants to spend time with me? Just us? [Y/n] was delighted by the opportunity. Then, reality set in: Zuko was still dating Mai and only saw her as a friend. She couldn’t hold his hand, she couldn’t cuddle with him, she couldn’t kiss him, she couldn’t be with him the way she wanted. Clearly, [y/n] hadn't gotten over her crush. If she was going to continue being his friend, she would need to do so. She needed to give herself space.
“Um, I'd like to," [y/n] said slowly, "but...I don’t feel well today.” She placed a hand on her stomach to feign illness. The fact that she had just rolled out of bed helped her cause.
Zuko’s cheerful face morphed to one of sadness. “Oh, no. I’m sorry. Is there anything you need? I could bring you medicine or food.”
[Y/n] shook her head. “No, thanks. I have everything I need.”
“How about I brew you some tea?”
“Er, no, it’s fine. I just need rest.” She scratched the back of her neck nervously.
“Okay. Well, I hope you feel better,” Zuko said earnestly.
“Thanks. Maybe another time,” [y/n] said.
“Yeah.” He trailed off, nodding slowly as he backed away from her apartment. They said their goodbyes and waved to each other. [Y/n] closed the door and leaned against it. She dropped her head into her hands. Already, she regretted her decision. She wanted nothing more than to be with Zuko, even though she knew it would cause her heart to ache.
Why do I have to have a crush on him? Why can't I go back to liking him as a friend? I don't want these feelings. I just want our friendship, I just want what we had three years ago. I don't even know if I can be his friend anymore. It's ruining us. I just lied to him too. It was a stupid lie, but still, what kind of friend does that? Why couldn't I just say no? I’m so pathetic.
Tumblr media
A few days had passed since then. Zuko didn't reach out to [y/n], and she didn't reach out to him. Once again, she was back to her day-to-day routine of things…somewhat. There was one day when all the residents on the main land had to be evacuated. [Y/n]'s mother said it was because Firelord Ozai was preparing for an attack during an eclipse, which would weaken our people.
When they returned, they saw the damage. The city's harbor had taken a serious beating, but the palace appeared to be okay. [Y/n]'s parents were quite relieved to know that they wouldn't have any extra work for themselves.
The day after they returned, [y/n] walked into the kitchen to eat breakfast. She saw a messenger hawk sitting on her window sill. Had Zuko finally reached out to her? She hesitantly untied the letter from the bird's leg and read it.
To: [Y/n] Summons Notice to Appear Your presence is required by his majesty Firelord Ozai immediately. Failure to appear in one (1) week will result in criminal charges against you and your family. From: Chief Advisor Xin
A bolt of fear struck [y/n]'s body. She froze. She backtracked the past several days and weeks, trying to think of what she could’ve done to warrant a summons. Nothing came to mind. Then, she wondered if her parents were involved in something treacherous. She couldn’t imagine them doing such a thing...perhaps they were being wrongly accused of a crime. Perhaps she was being wrongly accused of a crime. Her mind jumped to conclusions as rapidly as her heart was beating.
Finally, [y/n] broke free of her paralysis and fumbled for her things. She hastily headed to the palace. Breakfast could definitely wait. On the way, over and over, she begged and prayed to the spirits for her and her family’s safety.
At the palace, [y/n] approached the guards at the gate and presented the summons with shaky hands. They nodded, and one of them escorted her to the throne room. The guard slipped inside to announce her presence to Firelord Ozai. Meanwhile, she waited outside for permission to enter.
This would be her first time being in the presence of the Firelord, let alone talking to him. She was terrified to say the least. [Y/n]’s mom told her all kinds of stories about how scary he was. From the paintings she had seen before, his looks alone were intimidating. Her heart raced faster with every second she waited. Sweat coated her forehead and palms.
The guard returned, making [y/n] nearly jump out of her skin. He gestured for her to enter. And so she did.
The first thing [y/n] noticed was how warm the throne room was. It was massive and wide open with tall, ornate pillars outlining an aisle running down the middle. Straight ahead was the throne, where Firelord Ozai sat surrounded by large, hot, dancing flames. He wore a severe expression, looking just like he did in all those paintings. On his left sat a girl: Princess Azula. The seat on his right was empty.
Where’s Zuko? [Y/n] wondered, but only for a fraction of a second. That didn’t matter right now. She gulped nervously and approached the throne.
“F-Firelord Ozai. Princess Azula,” she shakily dropped to her knees and bowed. She had never felt so small before. “I received your message and came as soon as I could.”
“Why don’t I take this one, father?” [Y/n] gingerly peaked up to see Ozai quietly nodding to Azula. The princess rose from her seat and walked to [y/n]. [Y/n] slowly straightened up.
“Don’t be scared, [y/n]. We just want to ask you a few questions.” Azula patronized her.
“Have you seen or spoken to Zuko recently?” Azula inquired, pacing back and forth. Her heels clacked against the marble floor.
“Yes.”
“When?”
“A few days ago.”
She stopped and turned on her heels to further interrogate [y/n]. “What did you two talk about?”
[Y/n] nervously explained what happened when Zuko stopped by the other day. Azula sighed dramatically and pinched her nose.
After a long, suspenseful silence, [y/n] daringly asked, “Princess Azula...do you mind if I ask what this is about?”
Azula glanced at her with the side of her eye. "Well, since you asked, my dear brother, Zuko…he's been missing the since the attack."

Deliverance|S.M Werewolf AU
Tumblr media
Part Two🐺
In my dream I was running, running as fast as I could and yet the wolves that were chasing me were only gaining on me.
I knew that I only had a matter of seconds before it was all over, before I was dead and so I welcomed the wolf as he lunged forward to kill me.
...
I woke with a start, breathing heavily as I looked around realising that I was safe, I wasi n Shawn's room still, but it was light out now, morning light reflecting like diamonds off the lake in the distance.
There was a soft knock at the door, causing me to jump before Shawn appeared dressed in a t-shirt,and track pants, his feet bare.
"I didn't mean to scare you," he apologized, coming to sit at the end of he bed. "Are you okay? I heard you whimpering in your sleep."
I nodded, still half asleep. "I'm good, bad dream I guess," I shrugged, not wanting to go into it anymore.
"You can go back to sleep for a while, it's still early and I have a few things I need to do with the pack before the day starts," Shawn offered with a soft smile. I turned looking at the cosy hole of pillows and blankets I'd left.
"Thank you, I murmured, stiffling a yawn.
"Sleep well Pup," he spoke getting up and leaving the room, closing the door softly behind him. I lay there from a while, just watching the world out the window, just this simple act felt so luxurious, the mountains, everything was so pretty, so green, so vibrant compared to my old life.
How different my life was now I thought as I shut my eyes and drifted off again.
When I woke again, I could tell several hours had past from the angle of the sun, and the fact that I was no longer fighting the urge to sleep. I sat up and stretched, before getting up and heading to the door. I had no idea where I was going, but I was hungry and I had this weird yearning to be near Shawn. It made me uneasy after everything that had happened to me that I needed someone, especially a male so much, but I couldn't deny the feeling I was having, maybe it was something to do with this mate connection that Shawn had been taking about?
I made my way through the house, heading down corridor after corridor, down several staircases and into a massive living room with several oversized couches and a fire place.
"Lucy?" I turned at the sound of the familiar female voice. Karla, was standing at the other side of the room watching me inquisitively. "Are you okay?" she asked, making her way towards me.
"You know my name?" I asked surprised.
"Shawn told us," she smiled registering the confusion which I felt. "What are you doing up?"
"I woke up and Shawn wasn't in his room, I came to find him," I explained, still somewhat distracted by the sheer size and grandure of the room.
"He's in the kitchen making you breakfast, he loves to cook. I'll show you the way if you want," she offered.
I nodded and she took my hand without hesitation, leading me through an archway which opened out into the kitchen. Like the living room before, the kitchen too was huge, a massive marble island taking up the centre part of the space, several stoves and counters, Karla smiled and left.
"Morning Pup, sleep well? Shawn asked when he spotted me standing there, coming over and laying a ghost kiss on my temple. "Sorry I shouldn't have done that," he frowned.
"It's okay. It feels nice," I smiled. He beamed back. "It'll just take some time for me to get used to everyday things again." I was saying it more to myself than him. But he answered.
"We've got nothing but time, however to fill that time how about we eat, you need nutrients Pup. What do you like to eat?"
It was a simple enough question, but it had been so long since I had been asked it, that I didn't know how to respond.
"How about pancakes and fruit?" he asked, helping me out.
I nodded, thankful I didn't have to make a decision for myself.
"Want to watch?" he asked.
"Yes please."
He nodded "Since you're so short, how about you sit on the bench?" he suggested.
"How am I meant to get up there?" I asked eying the jump, there was no way in hell that I'd be able to make it on my own.
"Can I help you?" he asked coming to stand in front of me. I nodded, still a little unsure. "I'm going to lift you okay?" he checked.
I nodded again and he placed his hands on my waist and lifted me with ease onto the bench.
"Ever made pancakes before?" he asked reaching above him to the hooks which held a bunch of saucepans, grabbing one down.
"Yes, but not in a long time, not since-" I stopped shuddering as memories flooded back.
"Do you want to stir the batter?" he asked, breaking me free of the silent torture.
We went about the process quietly, I was greatful for that, because I still wasn't feeling particularly verbose. Not used to being allowed to talk, let alone anyone actually being interested in what I had to say.
When the food was ready he helped me down off the bench and led me back the way I'd come and out onto a secluded balcony overlooking the sound. It was stunning, the morning sun reflecting like one big dimond off the water, the sound of birds and the breese filling the air.
"How come we haven't seen any of the pack, except for Karla?" I asked as I sat down.
"Because this part of the house is only for the Alpha and his immediate superiors," he answered, taking a bite of his food. "Plus, I asked them to keep their distance, I figured you'd need some time to adjust."
"But Karla?" I stopped confused.
"Is my Beta Connor's mate," he explained.
"Oh,"
We lapsed back into a comfortable silence. giving me a chance to take a bite of my own food. It was hands down the most delicious thing I'd ever eaten, and I was overcome by a hunger I didn't know I had in me, finishing my plate miles ahead of Shawn.
"You still hungry Pup?" he asked looking over at my now empty plate with a smile.
I shook my head no, smiling back at him, I was fuller than I could ever remember.
I sat watching the sound for a while as Shawn finished his pancakes, but my peace was suddenly interrupted by an odd and unnerving sensation in my stomach, almost like nervous butterflies, but way more intense.
"Shawn," I panicked.
"What's wrong,?" he demanded, standing up and coming to squat in front of me, searching every inch of my face.
"The feeling?" I asked, desperately hoping he'd understand. "Like butterflies," I gasped as they ramped up when I grabbed his hand squeezing it as hard as I could. "What is it Shawn?" I asked again as I took in hus huge grin.
"It's your wolf Lucy." he let out a breath." I was so worried she was repressed for too long, but she's alive," he chocked on his words.
"Is that good?" I asked confused, still squeezing his hand.
"That's great, it means you'll be able to live like the rest of us, to change, to mate." I blushed at the last part.
"But why this feeling?"
"She's restless," he explained. "She knows she's in the presence of her mate, my wolf and she wants out. When youre well enough I'll teach you how to let her free," he added.
"Will it hurt?" I asked suddenly worried.
"It might be a bit uncomfortable the first time she takes over, it's kind of like having to share your head, your thoughts and feelings with someone else, but trust me, there's no better feeling than running free in the woods, your wolf able to do as they please without restriction.
I nodded, still not entirely sure, but I trusted him.
We sat just watching the water for a while, not needing to talk. It was strange to me, being able to just sit, not having rules to follow, people coming to use me for their own personal gain, not feeling pain. But it was also welcome.
"Are you ready to start the day?" Shawn asked, as he stood half an hour later, grabbing our plates off the table with one hand and holding his other out for me to take.
I nodded, standing up slowly,taking his hand, and following him inside.
"What are we doing today?" I asked as he dumped the plates in the sink and led the way back to his room.
"What would you like to do today?" he asked as we stepped into his now familiar room once again.
I stood there, thinking. Again not used to having the freedom to make choices for myself.
"A few of the girls like to paint," he suggested as he rummaged around in his cupboard, pulling a pair of trainers out and sitting on the end of the bed to put them on. "I could get you some paints or different art supplies if you like, or you could read, we could even go for a short walk around the grounds if you're feeling up to it later," he added with a smile coming over to stand in front of me.
"I'd like to paint?" It came out as more of a question, but he nodded.
"I'll get you the stuff you need," he murmured, placing another soft kiss against my forehead, causing me to all but melt into him. I couldn't get over the way he made me feel. It was like everything in my head told me to keep my distance, to stay clear, to protect myself. But my body and heart were saying the opposite- wanting nothing more than to be as close as possible to this man, it was almost as if my body needed the physical contact with Shawn to function now. It wasn't that that was a bad thing, it was just such a change from two days earlier when I would have done everything in my power to stay clear of any and all males.
"How about you have a shower, get ready for the day, I'll go and do what I need to do- check in on the younger ones, do a perimeter run and then we can go to the pack meeting together?" he suggested, moving around me to pull a towel and a new oversized hoodie off his dresser which I hadn't even realised was there.
The first 10 minutes of the shower were heavenly,the hot water helping to unknot my still aching muscles, the steam clearing my senses, but as I relaxed into it, listening to the sound of the water beating down on the tiled floor my mind started to wonder, and soon I was feeling anything but comfort.
I could feel the familiar rush of adrenaline, the way my hands and feet went slightly numb and shaky, my chest heaving as I gasped for air, collapsing in a heap in the corner of the shower, head against the damp wall as image after image of my old life haunted me.
I sat there for what felt like forever, the water drowning out my pathetic attempts to choke back the sobs that were now wracking my tired body.
"Lucy, are you okay in there?" an alarmed voice spoke, slightly muffled by the door.
"Help, please, help me," I whispered,hoping that whoever it was would hear me.
"I'm coming in," the person spoke and a moment later the door to the shower was ripped open revealing Karla, a look of deep worry on her face.
"Lucy, what's the matter?" she asked, reaching in to turn the water off.
"Ca-can't breathe," I stuttered, holding my hand over my chest.
"Oh, God, here, I'm going to help you get out," she rushed out of the room, coming back moments later with another large towel. "Can you stand up? "she asked watching me uncertainly.
"Think so," I nodded. She stepped into the shower wrapping the towel around me, before helping me carefully to my feet. I didn't even care at this point that she'd seen me without anything on, I was just desperate for this feeling to stop.
"Just take slow deep breaths," she encouraged with a soft smile as I made my way slowly to the bed. "Have you had panic attacks before she asked?" Sitting on the bed beside me, grabbing the sweater that Shawn had set aside for me and helping me to pull it over my head, instantly engolfing me with the warmth and scent of Shawn.
I nodded, still feeling extremely shaky.
"Do you think you'll be alright if I go and get Shawn?" she asked. "I promise it'll take me 2 seconds. I just think Shawn will be able to help you more than I can," she told me.
I nodded. I didn't want to be left alone, but I wanted Shawn more.
She left in a hurry, looking over her shoulder at me with pity.
As I sat and waited, I tried to stay calm, but my the time the door opened again, I was once again struggling to breathe, my chest heaving.
"Oh, Pup, what's the matter?" Shawn asked coming to sit next to me as Karla had, before laying a very gentle hand on my shoulder.
"Don't know, just feel scared," I shrugged, not looking up at him. I hated the idea that he was seeing me so vulnerable.
"Lucy, honey, can you look at me," his voice was barely a whisper.
I looked up reluctantly, knowing that he'd be able to see the tears, not yet dried on my cheeks, the puffy redness under my eyes nodoubt making me look like a chipmunk.
"We're going to do some grounding excercises okay," he smiled softly. "Take a big breath in, and I want you to hold it until I count to 10."
I did as he said, feeling my lungs expand with the air they so desperately needed.
"Good," he praised, and slowly breathe out through your mouth," he instructed. "I'm going to lift you up okay?" he asked. I nodded, letting him know I was okay with it.
He lifted me quickly and easily, sitting me in his lap, not seeming to care about the fact that I still had dripping hair. I curled into him instinctively, as I hiccupped, my tears slowing slightly now, my chest just a little less tight.
"You're okay Lucy, I'm here, I've got you," he murmured, resting his chin on the top of my head.
"I'm sorry," I croaked out, when after a few minutes neither of us had spoken.
"For what?" he asked, looking at me with confusion in his eyes.
"For me," I said, as if it should be obvious.
"Lucy, please don't apologise, none of this is your fault," he responded, rubbing soothing circles up and down my arms. "You know fear is nothing but an obstacle, and we will get past it, together," he added comfortingly.
"I just feel useless sometimes," I admitted, more to myself than to him.
"You are anything but useless," he replied, "and to prove it," he added, "I'm going to take you to meet the pack, if you're up to it," he smiled. "They're all so excited to meet you, and we have a pack meeting dinner thing tonight so I thought it might be nice if you joined."
"Why if they don't like me?" I worried, ringing my hands nervously.
"They will trust me," he smiled again, shifting me off of his lap before standing up and holding his hand out for me to take, which I did gladly.
There were already several people waiting in the living room when we made it downstairs and I couldn't help but feel a little intimidated at the thought of all these new people.
Shawn squeezed my hand reassuringly as he lead me to a large armchair where he sat, before pulling me down to sit on his lap without seemingly a second thought.
"Everyone, this is Lucy," Shawn introduced. "This is Dave, Brian, Connor, you know Karla," she shot me a warm smile "Beth and Angie," Shawn pointed them out one by one. They all smiled warmly, waving at me.
"So what's on the agenda for tonight?" Connor, I assumed from the way Karla was snuggled into his side much like I was with Shawn, asked.
"We need to be putting protective measures into place, since Lucy's been here other packs are getting restless, and given the circumstances, I don't want to take any risks."
The others nodded in silent agreement before Shawn went on.
"When I found Lucy-" he paused to look at me, shaking his head, "she was mere moments from having her life cut short, it was just lucky, I happened to be doing a run of the grounds, who knows what would have happened..." he trailed off. I felt myself shudder and Shawn's arms tighten around me ever so slightly as we simultaneously re- lived those horrific few seconds.
"You know we're all behind you man," someone else spoke up, causing everyone to nod.
"Thank you," Shawn replied sincerely, "At this stage there have only been two attempts at breaches, they don't seem bold enough to actually enter our lands, but they're hanging around the fringe, getting more game everyday," he frowned as he spoke.
At this point I chose to time out the conversation, sometimes ignorance was bliss and I already had enough on my mind without fretting about what was going on around me too much.
As we sat on the sofa hours later, cuddled up as the television played re-runs of Friends I couldn't help but voice my fears.
"Am, am I safe?" I asked nervously, looking up at Shawn who was half dozing, arms wrapped lazily around me.
He sat up slightly, stretching before resting his hands on either side of my face affectionately. Tipping my head back so I was looking up at him.
"We're doing everything we can to protect you," he spoke fiercly, reaching for my hand and squeezing gently."You are my life now," he added, pulling me protectively into his embrace again. For the first time in a long time, the sense of fear that was ever-present disappated somewhat, and I felt safe knowing that regardless of what happened I had Shawn, I had a home and I had a family.

Deliverance| A Werewolf Shawn AU
Tumblr media
Part Two
In my dream I was running, running as fast as I could and yet the wolves that were chasing me were only gaining on me.
"Are you okay?I heard you whimpering in your sleep,"
"Sleep well Pup," he spoke getting up and leaving the room, closing the door softly behind him.i Kay there from a while, just watching the world out the window, just this simple act felt so luxurious, the mountains, everything was so pretty, so green, so vibrant compared to my old life.
How different my life was now I thought as I shut my eyes and drifted off again.
When I woke again, I could tell several hours had past from the angle of the sun, and the fact that I was no longer fighting the urge to sleep.I sat up and stretched,before getting up and heading to the door.
I made my way through the house, heading down corridor after corridor,down several staircases and into finally into a massive living room with several oversized couches and a fire place.
"Lucy?" I turned at the sound of the familiar female voice. Karla, was standing at the other side of the room watching me inquisitively."Are you okay?"she asked, making her way towards me.
"You know my name?" I asked surprised.
"Shawn told us," she smiled registering the confusion which I felt. "What are you doing up?"
"I woke up and Shawn wasn't in his room, I came to find him," I explained, still somewhat distracted by the sheer size and grnadure of the room.
"He's in the kitchen making you breakfast, he loves to cook. I'll show you the way if you want," she offered.
I nodded and she took my hand without hesitation, leading me through an archway which opened out into the kitchen. Like the living room before, he kitchen too was huge, a massive marble island taking up the centre part of the space,several stoves and counters, Karla smiled and left.
"Morning Pup, sleep well? Shawn asked when he spotted me standing there, coming over and laying a ghost kiss on my temple." Sorry I shouldn't have done that," he frowned.

Meeting for the very first time
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bombing of Atlanta~
Cara woke up to the sounds of screaming and panic, she was on the ground level of the Super 8 in Atlanta, Georgia. The nineteen year old was on break from the Police Academy and was on vacation with some of her friends. Cara got out of bed and peeked out the window, wondering if it was actually bad. What she saw scared her nearly to death, and if she hadn't been a sheriff's daughter probably would have rooted her to the spot. However, Caralee Grimes was a strong willed cop in training. She knew how to handle herself, Cara looked down at her nightside table when she saw the light; Cara picked it up as she began to pack up somethings and grabbing her twin desert eagles. "Mom, not a good time... somethin's going on in Atlanta..."
"Caralee, listen to me.. Its not just Atlanta.. Shane says that their going to bomb the big cities to try to control it.. you HAVE to get out of there" Came Laurie Grimes's voice, Cara bit her lip.
"Alright Mom, I gotta go then.. I gotta find--"
"I don't care about them, get your ass out of Atlanta, now Bug" Came Shane's aggressive voice. She rolled her eyes but sighed.
"Fine... but If I see them--"
"Bug, the dead have risen and are eatin' people... DO NOT put yourself in anymore danger then necessary" He told her sternly, "Meet us outside the city, the billboard, you know the one" Cara looked shocked as the line went dead. She grabbed her bag, putting one of her desert eagles in the holster and the other in her hand as she opened the door.
Dead bodies were strewn outside, monstrous looking people eating screaming humans. Cara centered herself as she made her way cautiously through the parking lot to her truck, keeping an eye out for any of her friends. She jumped in her truck and started it up, wincing at how loud it was. "Goddamn it, I told Shane to look at that before I left" She cursed before slamming the truck into reverse and peeling out of the parking lot. She stopped short as the headlights fell on Kevin, the kid who she had known her entire life, laying lifeless on the street in front of her being eaten. She shook her head and peeled away out of the city, she had only been able to get down a couple alleys before being stopped again because of traffic. "SHIT!" She screamed as she turned off her truck and grabbed her bag and gun again.
~~~
How many hours had passed since her phone call with her mother and Shane? Were they even still alive? Cara walked through the woods at the edge of Atlanta, the bombs had dropped soon after she had left the city and she was nearly out of bullets now. The dead just had kept coming and coming until she had realized to aim for the head. Cara leaned against a tree, trying to catch her breath and calm down. The burnet heard a snapping of a twig and raised her gun at the ready once more, she checked her bullets. "Three" She said aloud, cursing under her breath. "I better make 'em count" She said, reaching down and grabbing her boui knife out of her boot. Her legs were all cut up from running through the woods at night, She was still in her pajamas, a sweater tattered around her shoulders.
Pop
She shot the first walker in front of her, dead between the eyes.
Pop
The second one fell on top of the first. She aimed at the third walker and pulled the trigger before groaning as the shot missed. "FUCK" She put her gun back in the holster as she pulled her knife up, it wasn't ideal, she didn't want to get that close to the walker in front of her but now she had no chose. She took a couple steps forward towards the undead woman in front of her before stopping short.
"Missy?" She said, her arms becoming slack. "God.. Missy how did they get you?" She asked, tears threatening to finally burst as she saw her best friend limping and dead coming towards her. "Missy, Missy you gotta stop.. come on please.. Missy it's me.. It's Cara" She said before;
Swish
An arrow appeared in Missy's left eye.
"Are you fuckin' crazy?" Came a gruff voice as Missy fell to the ground. "You can't reason with these fuckers lil' girl" Cara looked up from her best friend on the ground to see a Redneck with a cross bow. "Are ya alright?" He asked, looking her up and down. "Those gashes are they from the dead?" He asked, lowering his compact bow and taking a step towards her.
"What? No... I've been running through the woods from Atlanta since ten o'clock" She said looking down and finally seeing all the gashes. Cara looked back up at him as he walked closer. "Look, Redneck, I'm tryin' to find the billboard by the Quarry... am I any where close?" She asked slowly, realizing how tall the man was and blushing deeply.
"My groups there now, its about a days walk from here.. You good to walk?" He asked her as her eyes lit up, the girl picked up her bag and nodded.
"I'm more then ready.. my family should be there... at least my mom and brother" She said, "And my Daddy's best friend" She told him as she started to follow him. "Thanks by the way, I know I can't reason with the dead but... Missy and I go back to pre-K... I just couldn't believe that she was dead"
"I get it.. but ya gotta be careful, Sunshine" The Redneck said smirking, "By the way... I'm Daryl Dixon... and that.." The handsome man pointed to a burley guy appearing behind a tree. "Is Merle, my big brother" He said as Merle leered at her.
"Well hey Sugar Tits, did my brother be your knight in shinin' armor?" He asked. Cara raised an eyebrow as Daryl spoke.
"Knock it off Merle" He growled at him, "Leave the girl alone" He took a step closer to Cara protectively. It seemed Daryl knew something about his brother that Cara didn't, but Cara didn't mind the handsome redneck's perfection.
The three walked in silence for a bit before Merle raised an eyebrow, "So, do ya always go around in booty shorts sugar tits?" He asked, Cara stopped in her tracks, her hand going slack on her bag before she turned to face the burly man.
"I do when I was asleep when all this shit starts" She said, "Didn't have much time to change runnin' for my life and didn't realize I would be walking with sexist mcGee trying to find my family" She said, her arms crossed as she glared at him. Out of the corner of her eye, Cara could have sworn that she saw a smirk play on Daryl's lip before it went back to his normal glare. "Call me Sugar Tits one more time, and we'll see whose really made of sugar" Cara said, before starting to walk again. She could feel eyes on the back of her thighs but couldn't tell whose eyes they were. Daryl caught up with her a few minutes later, pointing up the ridge.
"Our camp is just up there, hope you find your family among us... sorry about Merle by the way he can be--" Cara shook her head as she glanced back at Merle who seemed to sulking a few paces behind them.
"Don't even worry about it... I've dealt with worse.. my father was the sheriff of King's County" She said shrugging, "I did a few volunteer days down there and had much worse thrown at me..."
Daryl raised an eyebrow, before squinting at her slightly. "You a cop too?" He asked sounding... off.
"Was plannin' on it before the world went to shit." She said shrugging, "It's in my blood, my daddy was the Sherriff, so was my Granddaddy and his before that" She said looking up at him, "Look, I don't care 'bout any of that now.. I never had what you'd call a strong moral compass.. you saved my life Redneck, If you think that something that happened before that means anything to me... think again"
Daryl's lips turned up at the corners before the smile disappeared as Merle walked past them. "Can we just get back to camp lovebirds? I'm starvin' and wanna drop the bitch off" Daryl growled at him.
"Leave her alone Merle"
~~The next day~~
Cara woke up and sat up shivering, she pulled her bag around to her before realizing that Daryl was sleeping right next to her. That was when she remembered, during the night Merle had followed her when she had left to pee and Daryl had come to her rescue yet again and slept next to her. She smiled gently before grabbing out her jeans, she went behind a tree and shimmied out of her pj shorts before starting to pull on her jeans.
"Well well, that lily white ass is hot sugar tits" Came Merle's voice, Cara stopped short before looking behind her and seeing Merle standing up against a tree watching her. "Why dontcha loose those jeans and pretty panties and I'll show you something that my baby brother couldn't fathom to do" Cara opened her mouth to speak before Merle was inches from her. "Come on baby take 'em off" Cara reeled back and punched the man hard. She was stronger then most girls for her stature but compared to the big idiot in front of her, she was no match. "You little BITCH!" Merle yelled before punching her right back across the jaw. "I'll teach you to hit me you--" Cara looked up holding her searing jaw. Daryl was straddling Merle beating the shit out of him.
"I told you last night to stay the hell away from her.. Now you go and punch her?!" He growled as he continued to punch his older brother.
"Alright alright UNCLE" Merle said, after he himself got a few shots in, but Daryl was angrier he had won the fight. Daryl rolled off his brother before walking slowly up to Cara and taking a look at her jaw.
"You're gonna have a bruise.. sorry about that" He said slowly as he helped her up. "Are you alright?" He asked looking down at her, Cara nodded as she smiled slightly. "What?"
"I think this is the start of somethin'..." She said smiling at him. "Thats the third time in the past twenty-four hours that you've come to my rescue" She looked up at him, Daryl chuckled.
"Always.. if you stay with me... I mean my group... I'll always come to your rescue" He said gruffly, rubbing the back of his neck.
~~~~CAMP~~~~
Daryl had sent Merle on ahead as him and Cara walked up the trail to Daryl's camp. Daryl waved at an older gentleman on top of the RV.
"Whose the young lady?" The man asked as Cara looked up at him.
"I'm Cara... Cara Grimes..." She said, "I'm lookin' for my mom and my brother Carl... and Shane... Have you heard of them or--" Her eyes glanced around as she heard an intake of breath.
Tumblr media
-"Lee-Lee??" Came her baby brother's voice, she went around the RV before taking off as her little brother did the same. Cara grabbed Carl and hugged him to him. The tears that she had been holding back for a day and a half burst through the damn as she fell to her knees still holding her brother.
"Carl... Carl you're alive" She repeated over and over, after a few minutes of the brother and sister hugging each other and refusing to let go. Cara heard a voice above her;
"Caralee... we thought" She looked up and found her mother looking down at her.
"Sorry it took me so long mom... I.. I got lost.. Daryl saved my life and...--" Shane appeared next to her mother, a bit to close for her liking but she gulped it down as she let her brother go slowly.
"Dixon saved your life? Damn" he said looking behind you and nodding at Daryl. "Thanks man, this kids like a daughter to me."
Cara rolled her eyes, "I'm not a kid, if I was I wouldn't have made it out of the city before the bombs dropped." She said before looking around. "Where's... Mom where's dad?" She asked. Carl looked down as Cara looked at him. "No... don't.." Daryl took a step towards her. "IS he..." Carl nodded.

Tumblr media
- October 1988 -
     Gray skies and a thick layer of storm clouds blanket the town of Derry, Maine. Bill Denbrough sits in bed, he was tearing out a piece of paper from his sketchbook. His mother is downstairs on the piano, playing Für Elise. A song that would haunt him for the rest of his life. That song was playing the day Georgie died, he would think. Georgie, Bill's younger brother was at the window.
     He had fogged up the glass with his breath, and he drew a large smiley face on the glass, just before it disappeared. He turned over his shoulder to look at his brother, who was folding a paper boat for him.
     "You sure I won't get in trouble, Bill?"
     "Don't be a w-wuss." Bill replied.
     Bill had always had a stutter, and everyone who knew him was used to it. When he was three, he had been hit by a car and knocked into a building, and he remained unconscious for seven hours. This accident, his mother had said, caused the stutter. His stutter was light but it got worse after Georgie disappeared.
     "I'd come with you if I weren't," he stopped abruptly and coughed forcefully into his hand. "dying."
     Georgie stood from the window and walked over to his brother, sighing. "You're not dying!"
     He hated that his brother joked about stuff like that, he'd hate it if something really happened to him.
     "You didn't see the v-v-vomit coming out of my nose this morning?" He asked incredulously.
     Georgie cringed. "That's disgusting."
     Bill looked down at the finished paper boat. "Okay. Go get the wax."
     Georgie became uneasy. He shifted on his feet. "In the cellar?"
     Georgie was terrified of the cellar. He always imagined dangers of the unimaginable lurking at the bottom, waiting to snatch him up. He knew it was silly, but every time he would reach for the light, the image of long sharp talons reaching out for his tiny little hand.
     "You want it to f-float, don't you?" Bill asked simply.
     "Fine," he sighed.
     Georgie left Bill's room, not before grabbing his walkie talkie and headed downstairs. His legs, he realized, were moving slower than normal. A fact he was fine with if it meant it took longer to get to the cellar. He passed his mother in the dining room, where she sat at the piano, her fingers dancing along the keys. The music added a chilling tone that made his nerves spike.
     When Georgie reached the kitchen, he slowed. The cellar door was open and he could hear that same sinister voice in the back of his head, promising his demise. Georgie gulped, but oh, how he wanted that boat!
     Bill wouldn't be scared. Bill was never scared of the cellar, so neither should he!
     Georgie walked slowly over to the door, gently pushing it open. The door made a sickening creak and he crept to the edge of the stairs, hoping whatever possible creature lurked at the bottom wouldn't hear him. His breathing picked up and he gulped, he could hear something clattering down there!
     A sharp, piercing beep rang in his ears, startling him.
     "Georgie," It was just Bill from the walkie talkie. "Hurry up."
     Struggling to regain his composure, he clung to the wall, reaching for the light and tried not to think about the claw that could take his arm. His fingers reached the switch and flicked it back and forth. Nothing. He would have to go down into the cellar. In the dark.
     Georgie took several deep breaths, desperately attempting to swallow his fear.
     "It's okay," he whispered under his breath. "I'm brave."
     He trudges down the cellar stairs, an iron grip on the railing, letting darkness engulf him. He sighed when he reached the bottom. He had made it down the stairs. But now came the hard part. Taking a deep breath he began looking around, squinting in the dark trying to find the gulf wax and get the hell out of there.
     "Where's the wax?" He mumbled. "There's the wax. Yes."
     Georgie always felt that as long as he could talk, even if he was alone, he was at least somewhat safe. Perhaps hearing a voice, even his own was something to distract him from his fears. He stood on his tippy toes, extending his arm, reaching for the paraffin wax for his boat.
     He got it! Now he could leave the nasty old cellar. It always smelled sewage and gook you'd find in a gutter. It was a nasty smell. The cellar smell. But something in Georgie told him to look up, and he did. What he saw made him back up.
     In the sea of darkness, he saw two bright and shiny orbs, staring at him. Stalking him. His heart beating rapidly in his chest and he stifled a gasp. The flashlight. For some unknown reason that baffled him, he hadn't grabbed the flashlight next to him on the dryer before.
     He quickly grabbed it, his hands shaking as he felt for the button with his other hand. He pressed it and the light shined brightly, illuminating nothing but the same old shelf across the room. The two orbs, he realized, were just two empty jars that must have caught the light that made it through the tiny cellar windows behind him.
     But he couldn't shake the feeling something had been watching him. Something that was still watching him. He needed to leave, immediately, he thought. And he did.
     He heard a loud clatter near him, something he would never be able to identify, that was soon followed by a crack of thunder. He jumped into a sprint for the stairs, more words tumbling out of his mouth.
     "What was that? What's that? Oh, jeez!"
     He scrambled up the stairs, still clutching the flashlight firmly in his hands. The light jumped up and down the walls as he moved his arms and Georgie was certain he had never run the fast.
     But it was fine now. He was out of the cellar and he had the wax for his boat.
     Now, he stood next to Bill at his desk, his left arm wrapped loving around his older brother. He studied Bill's technique as he painted the paper boat - the boat now labeled the 'SS Georgie' in black marker - with paraffin wax.
     Bill set the paintbrush back in the bowl of wax and picked up the boat by the edges. He turned to Georgie.
     "Alright," he handed the SS Georgie to his little brother and smiled. "There you go. S-she's all ready, Captain."
     Confusion and interest flickered over Georgie's face. "She?"
     Bill nodded. "You always call b-b-boats 'she'."
     "'She'," Georgie nodded, liking the new interesting fact. "Thanks, Billy."
     Georgie extended his arms and pulled his brother in for a hug, who gladly accepted. Georgie gave him a big squeeze and Bill smiled. He gently prodded his fingers in Georgie's side, knowing just where his brother was ticklish.
     Georgie giggled and pulled back, and Bill smiled. Georgie grabbed the walkie and ran skipping out of the room.
     "See you later. Bye!" Georgie called disappearing into the hallway.
     When he heard the front door close moments later, he rose to his feet and went to the window.
     There on the sidewalk was Georgie, who was now dressed in his yellow slicker and matching rain boots. He was gleaming and sent a big happy wave to Bill, who tentatively waved back.
     Bill didn't know why he felt the way he did suddenly. He felt a sense of dread, that he ignored at that moment. Something he would be kicking himself for, for the rest of his life.
     But he did bring his walkie up to his lips and spoke.
     "Be careful,"
     He had no idea what compelled him to say that. And he remembered thinking that was something you'd usually hear from a mom or a dad. Not your brother. But he shook it off.
     Bill watched as his brother placed the boat into the small stream that formed in between the curb and the street. The boat took off and so did Georgie.
     That was the last time Bill ever saw Georgie alive.
     He ran alongside his boat in a happy sprint. No matter how fast he ran, she was quicker. As he'd run he jump off the curb into the large puddles, watching them splash. Then he'd jump right back up and run off the grass again.
     The SS Georgie sped down the street. She zipped and zoomed and Georgie watched with delight, giggling merrily. She sped right under a sawhorse on the road. Printed on it, with big black letters were the words: DERRY PUBLIC WORKS.
     Georgie was sure to duck when he reached it, his boat just ahead by his feet. He was still bent over, eyes still on the boat, he failed to notice the second sawhorse just as he straightened.
     THUNK!
     Georgie lay on the concrete, his forehead and lower half sore from the fall and he winced. He could feel the stream of rain soaking his pants and sneaking into his boots.
     The boat! The boat was still getting away. He scanned the street, squinting through the splashback of thousands of raindrops in the street, but he finally spotted the boat. She had just hit a corner, but she persisted. She had no trouble getting around the large obstacle in the street and she turned. Georgie jumped to his feet and chased after her.
     His legs were small but they run fast. But not fast enough to reach the boat in time before it hit a snag and twirled into a storm drain.
     "No!" He cried, kneeling down into the gutter. "No, Bill's gonna kill me!"
     He peered into the gutter, squinting for the boat. Maybe it wasn't as steep as it looked, he thought. Maybe he could reach her. But his thoughts were suddenly cut short.
     A pair of yellow eyes opened in the darkness. They gleamed brightly and they were fixed right on Georgie. He jumped back with a frightful yelp. A darkened figure slithered forward.
     "Hiya, Georgie!"
     From the small portion of the face that was showing, he could see a pale white face, with blood-red lips. The ends of the lips trailed all the way up in sharp lines and didn't seem to stop. The smile was big and cartoonish, it was unnatural and he had two large teeth that reminded Georgie of a rabbit. But if he wasn't mistaken, the figure in the storm drain was a clown?
     The voice was cheerful and light, but it was gravelly and deep. Georgie didn't like this voice or the feeling it brought.
     And had Georgie been wrong before? I must have, he thought because the eyes were now a bright blue. But his attention was immediately drawn to the object in the clown's hand.
     "What a nice boat." The clown said, showing it the boy. "Do you want it back?"
     Georgie, was still very much startled from the turn of events, frowned uneasily. Yet he nodded.
     "Um, yes please."
     The face tilted its head and smiled a crooked grin. "You look like a nice boy. I bet you have a lot of friends."
     Georgie tilted his head, slowly his guard came down, but he couldn't quite shake the uneasy feeling in his gut. Nevertheless, he answered, timidly.
     "Three. But my brother's my best best."
     The face gleamed, perking up in interest.
     "Where's he?"
     Georgie noticed the slobber pooling in the clown's lower lip, and it dribbled over in long streams. He was drooling. Georgie tried not to stare. He had learned well and good from his mother that it was not polite to stare.
     "In bed. Sick."
     The shadowy face seemed to contemplate something for a brief moment.
     "I bet I could cheer him up. I'll give him a balloon!"
     Georgie looked away briefly, feeling very uneasy. The clown, who noticed the boy's hesitation and perked up.
     "Do you want a balloon too, Georgie?"
     "I'm not supposed to take stuff from strangers." The boy answered.
     "Oh," He scoffed happily. "Well, I'm Pennywise the Dancing Clown!"
     He shook his head, and a small flurry of jingles accompanied.
     "'Pennywise?' 'Yes.'" The clown spoke to Itself and answered, feigning a conversation. "'Meet Georgie.' 'Georgie, meet Pennywise.'"
     Georgie couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped his throat, and Pennywise smiled.
     "Now we aren't strangers, are we?"
     At that moment, the inhabitant of the house just in front of that very storm drain stepped out onto her porch. She held her coat tightly to herself and shivered. The wind chimes were waving sporadically and tapping against the outdoor blinds.
     She grabbed the ropes and pulled the curtains up, surprised to see a young boy in a bright yellow raincoat leaning into the sewer. She frowned, losing interest and steeped away, her cat at her feet still watching.
     "What are you doing in the sewer?" Georgie asked curiously.
     "A storm blew away," Pennywise drawled. "Blew the whole circus away."
     Pennywise chuckled with the very same high and gravelly voice before his face fell unexpectedly. The clown stared at Georgie, his friendly mask falling briefly.
     "Can you smell the circus, Georgie?"
     Georgie frowned in confusion. He leaned ever so slightly forward.
     "There's peanuts, cotton candy, hot dogs, and...?"
     Georgie could, in fact, smell all those things. He could smell the sweet sugary aroma of cotton candy and he could practically taste the salty flavor of peanuts. But underneath all that, he could smell the familiar vulgar and repulsive stench. The cellar smell.
     But then he got a strong burst of popcorn.
     "Popcorn?"
     "Popcorn!" The figure chuckled and nodded eagerly. "Is that your favorite?"
     Georgie smiled for the first time in the interaction, and he nodded. "Uh-huh."
     "Mine too!" Pennywise chuckled, and voice cracked. "Because they pop. Pop, pop, pop!"
     Georgie giggled at the funny noise, and Pennywise continued.
     "Pop, pop, pop."
     "Pop," Giggled Georgie.
     Pennywise cackled along with Georgie but stopped suddenly. He stared at Georgie, drool dribbling down his chin once more and he was stared at Georgie hungrily.
     The uneasy feeling returned to Georgie. He could feel the pit in his stomach blooming. He forced a polite smile, unable to hide his discomfort.
     "I should get going now,"
     "Oh," The clown licked its lips. "Without your boat?"
     Georgie frowned. He wanted to get far away from the storm drain. Run all the way home and snuggle up under the safety of Bill's covers, where he would be protected, and never look back. Never think about the creepy clown in the sewers. But something else was gnawing at Georgie, a doubt deep-seeded in the back of his mind. A doubt Pennywise brought to light.
     "You don't want to lose it, Georgie," the clown warned. "Bill's gonna kill you,"
     Bill would. He would be very mad at Georgie. For bothering him while he was sick, goading him into making that stupid boat and to lose it immediately. And after going to all that trouble. Bill would be disappointed. That's what worried Georgie, and he didn't want his brother being mad at him.
     Pennywise extended the boat, ever so slightly, and grinned. His smile looked like that of the Cheshire cat, stretching into impossible lengths.
     "Here," the whisper chilled Georgie to his very bones. "Take it."
     He would take the boat, and say his thanks, and leave. The voice grew impatient.
     "Take it, Georgie," The voice was deep and low, but still gravelly.
     The very same thoughts that he always had about the cellar, popped back into his head. Bill would take it, a small voice in his head told him, he's brave. Against his better judgment, Georgie crawled closed, reaching out for the boat. It would be just as easy as getting the gulf wax, he told himself.
     The second his palm landed on the concrete, the second his fingers were within reach, the clown's eyes returned to a deep yellow. Georgie's hand was snatched, and the clown's head opened up, growing hundreds of sharp teeth and It chomped down on Georgie's arm, biting it clean off.
     Georgie's terrified cries of pain echoed down the streets of Jackson and Witcham and yet the only being that heard his muffled cries of help was the neighbor's cat, still perched on the porch. Georgie did his best to crawl away from the storm drain, he wiggled himself along the street, blood pouring out of his shoulder where his right arm once was.
     But it was no use. A long arm, slowly extending and protruding from the sewers came for him. Much like what he had always envisioned would happen when he used the cellar lightswitch. His small body was pulled into the storm drain, and Georgie Denbrough was no more.

In The Depths of your mind
Gabriel x winchester!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: after your life spirled out of control after Gabriel's seeming death the boys take matters of erasing him from your memory, but of course he comes back and is still in love with you but can't do anything about it
Warning: swearing,angst, probably gets a little spicy towards the end?
This is just a guilty pleasure thing I did for myself, also Blame my friend for making me love this ass again
Also this story? Long as all heck like, And sucks booty but ding dang im sorry.
~~~~~
"Stay still!" You yelled at the angle in front of you. "Ok, ok, I'm sorry!"
You grinned up at him and traced your finger across his palm, causing him to squirm again. "Gabriel!" You dropped his hand and fell back into your bed. "I'm sorry! I swear I won't squirm anymore!"
You laughed and pulled him down with you and kissed him. "You ruined the moment dumbass." you muttered before kissing him again. He frowned after pulling away and rested his chin on your chest.
"Sugar, please? I'm dying to know what my future holds!" You hummed in response and played with his hair. "You know what I think?"
He shifted on the bed next to you and rested his head on your shoulder. "What?"
"I think...the future can wait. It's a beautiful afternoon...and I could really use a nap...so why don't we just live in the moment?"
He smiled as you curled up next to him and shut your eyes. "In order to nap your eyes need to be closed, Angel cake." he chuckled and shut his eyes falling asleep with you.
It was weird that's instantly what he thought of after Sam and Dean told him that after he "died" they had castiel erasie him from your memories, meaning you wouldn't know who he was when you walked in through the door, you wouldn't remember the life he gave you for a little while, and he could do nothing about it.
But it pained him even more to hear about how bad your life had spiraled out after he did so. "Just remeber we don't know what could happen if you bring those memories up unexpectedly, so just be careful..."
He nodded slowly still processing everything.
"Boys I'm home!" you yelled from within the bunker. Gabriel perked up in his seat turning to the doorway where you appeared holding three bags, two bags from KFC and one from the grocery store.
Gabriel stopped when he noticed your hair wasn't it's natural color and it was only then he realiesed only part of what had happened to you after he left.
"You must be the person I spent an extra twenty bucks on." you joked as you set the bags down on the table he was still seated at.
"I'm y/n by the way." he stared up at you as you started unpacking the food. Dean came up behind him and hit him slightly shaking him from his gaze. "Gabriel, nice to...nice to meet you."
You looked at him with a smile. "Well Gabriel, dig in!"
You took a seat next to him grabbing some chickens and talking to Sam and Dean about the case You where currently working on.
Gabriel barrely moved the entire time you all sat there talking, he sat there ever so slightly eating the food and glancing at you.
"So what's your deal?" you asked him after you finished, Dean had already set to work on opening the grocery bag full of deserts you picked up.
"What do you mean?" you shrugged.
"Well I don't know You very well....or at all for that matter but the boys here do so?...."
He looked at Sam and Dean across the table as if they where holding poster borards with what to say up. But they gave him the same look.
"Hello?" Sam cleared his throat and began talking. "Gabriel here is...An old hunting buddy of ours and....and came here for a place to stay for a while." You looked at the three men suspiciously.
"Ok well how long-"
"Years...years and years almost too long if you ask me." Dean chimmed in. You looked at Gabriel who flashed you an unconvincing smile.
Yet it was a smile and it sparked something in you causing you to return the guesture. "So tell me about you!" Gabriel said quickly catching both sam, Dean and you off gauird.
"Uh ok? What do you wanna know?" you shrugged crossing your arms and and leaning back in your chair to face him.
"Your hair is interesting." You laughed.
"Strange choice of topic but ok, yea I was feeling bold....thought it was time for a change. So I got up one night ran to the closest convinence store and picked the first color I saw, I stayed up till four in the morning doing it." You laughed.
He laughed lightly with you, he knew that's not really what happened but it was pretty close to something you would do no matter the state.
And then suddenly you where both talking like nothing had changed, you told him about things you liked and did as hobnies, you told him about music you had gotten into and movies you started watching.
You even told him stories of hunts, some scared him and made him worry for you, others impressed him and at somepoints made him laugh when you brought up a funny memory.
And to him it really felt like he hadn't lied to you for year, like he hadn't put you through pain and angony and it felt just almost like you where sitting on the front pouch of the house he stole you away to and talked as the Sun set behind the ocean.
And it felt the same to you, talking to him felt familiar and comfortable, it was like talking to Sam and Dean but times a thousand.
"You alright?" you swallowed thickly and furrowed your brows realising you had infact gone scilent and stared blankly at the table in front of you. "Yea...wow I just...just got lost in thought for a second there." you chuckled.
"Hey you should probably get some sleep." you hummed in response finally noticing Sam and Dean where obviously way ahead of you.
"Yea...uh did they show you where your room is?" you asked while standing up. "Yea I got it." You smiled and headed across the room to find your bedroom.
"Goodnight gabriel, it was nice meeting you." he frowned slightly. "Right...yea nice meeting you too!..."
He stayed there at the table for some time, he let his mind drift from one thing about you to the next, Sam and Dean hadn't told him what exactly happened to you, what you did when he left so he thought about that. When that got to painful he thought back to the house on the beach.
Years and years ago you ran away with him, he promised you a life hunting and being a winchester could have never promised.
He made sure your life took place some where that made you happy and worked hard to make it perfect and as far as he knew it was exactly that to you.
It was a small and quaint little cabin right on the edge of the beach, the beach because he remembered you telling him that never in your life have you been, he included a garden in the back, and your own personal art studio where he remembered watching you sing at along to bon jovie at the top of your lungs while you painted.
And then out in the front of the house there was a hammock tied to the post of the front pouch and a tree and you two would lie there rocking back and fourth lightly during the late afternoon talking and listening to the ocean.
"I thought you said Sam and Dean showed you your room?" Gabriel jumped awake upon hearing your voice. You laughed seeing him do so. "Easy sleeping beauty."
"What time is it?" he asked groggily sitting up. "Eight thirty, thing one and thing two went on a coffee run...what happened to you?"
"I don't know I guess I fell asleep before I could get up."
"Oh really? Is that what happened? You asked sarcastically. You pushed yourself off of the table and headed into the kitchen. "You like sweet things, right?"
He nodded while standing up to strech, but then paused. "How'd you know that?"
You turned slightly stopping yourself. "Uh...you told me didn't you? Last night." he narrowed his eyes trying to think. Maybe he did and he just couldn't remeber.
"Yea..." you smiled and continued into the kitchen. You appeared from the kitchen just in time to see Sam and Dean return with the coffee.
"Welcome home!" you said carrying a dish. "Wha y/n you never cook...what is this?"
You shrugged setting it down. "Cinnamon rolls." you said with a smirk. It didn't take long for Sam and Dean to notice you where acting diffrent now that Gabriel was around you would bring up weird thing, you kept spacing out at times and everything about you had shifted.
And that's exactly what got you hurt on your last hunt with the three of them. So you stayed in the bunker doing reasearch for them while Gabriel stayed and watched over you.
"Hey, I brought something for you to eat." He said pushing open the door. You smiled and sat yourself up slowly, still wincing at the slight movement. You held your side and mustered a smile.
"Hey take it easy, sugar." he set the plate down on the bed stand beside you and looked around the room eyes landing on the small desk and the art that hung on the wall above it.
"How are you holding up?" he asked looking the art closely.
"Uh as good as a person with a cracked rib could be." You responded. He chuckled lightly.
"These...are...amazing!" he said looking at them closely. He took note of the facless figure's with wings who's faces where scribbled out, then the house.
Your house, the one on the beach. "What...What is this?" he asked pointing to it.
"Oh the dream house." You grinned.
"The what?"
"Well being a Winchester and hunting things for a living isn't exactly a dream life...So I've always dreamt of living on this perfect little beach in this cute little house."
He watched as you smiled dreamily and continued explaining exactly what you had, like it was burried deep inside your mind, yet right at the surface of it all.
"And I'd live there with the person I love and we would just spend every day together going to the market near by or laying in the hammock..." you chuckled ever so slightly at the thought.
"But I'm here instead living my best life..." everything was scilent between you for a few moments. Then you shifted on the bed clutching your side. "Hey come here." You said patting the bed in front of you.
He did so and you held your hand out expectantly. "Gimme your hand." He did so a started wriggiling under your touch as you traced the lines on his hand.
"What are-"
"Reading your palm, a friend taught me a while back, Now Sit still dipshit." You giggled. He stopped when you said that breathing out lightly.
"Well lucky you." you stated excitedly. "It looks like..." you started laughing catching him off gauird. "What? What is it?"
"Nothing! Nothing! It's just...I have no idea what I'm doing! I've forgotten what she taught!" you laughed loudly still holding his hand. He grinned and started laughing along with you.
Once you died down you looked at each other quietly for a moment. And then suddenly you had his face in your hands and kissed him deeply, your kissy was needy and despreat, like you where missing it.
He didn't stop you either, he wrapped his arms around your back and deepend the kiss. You discarded your sweater which stopped Gabriel momentarily as he looked at the bandaging around your torso.
"Hey..." you kissed him between your words. "I'm fine."
He gingerly moved his hands down your torso. "I love you." he muttered out against your lips. You hummed kissing him deeply. And suddenly there was a sharp pain in your head and you free back grimcing.
"Y/n?" You scooted back holding your head. "I'm..." you let out a pain filled yelp screwing your eyes shut tightly.
"Y/n what's wrong!?" he moved to touch your arm and as soon as he did your ears where ringing and it felt like someone was pushing your head into a wall slowly, you let out one more scream before Your vision went black.
"Gabe!" Dean grabbed you and pulled you back from the scene in front of you. Gabriel really did his hardest to take down Lucifer but it didn't look so good. Because he had an angel blade deep in the gut of the person you loved.
"Oh no...gabe look." he turned Gabriel around to face you as your brother held you from attacking Lucifer. Tears rimmed your eyes as you struggled to run over to him.
He swallowed thickly as he looked at you. "I'm...I'm...so sorry..." Lucifer pulled the blade from him and let him drop. "Oops."
You let out an angry scream at him before he vanished. You kicked Deans leg hard causing him to loosen his grip.
You ran over to him stopping when you saw the black scorch marks of wings sit on the floor around him. "Fuck, Gabriel!?" you fell to your knees slowly touching him lightly. "Gabe?...Angel?...Angel cakes!? Please!" you shook him slightly hoping that would do it.
"Gabriel you ass! Don't you dare!" when he didn't move you sobbed into his chest. "Y/n...come on...we need to go.." you shook sam away from you. "NO! I should have fucking listened to him! And stayed at home! He gave me a home sam! And now...now he's dead and I...I can't...can't go back home!" they where scilent. "And he didn't say good bye He said I'm sorry....it wasn't his fault..."
Suddenly your eyes snapped open and it felt like the wind was knocked from you, tears slid down your face, and You breathed heavily looking up at the consirened Angel in front of you. "Y/n?" he asked carefully.
"What the hell..." You breathed finally. He furrowed his brows. "YOUR DEAD! YOUR FUCKING DEAD!" you yelled getting up quickly.
"Wait, y/n-"
"I...I went through hell and now your...your back!?" you grabbed your sweater pulling it on. You stumbled, your head was still burning and your side ached.
"Y/n stop let me explain-"
"Fuck you gabriel! I trusted you! I loved you and and you faked your death I assume...and What where you doing? Huh? Off with some slutty pornstars!?"
The angrier you got the more your head started reeling digging up memories you'd lost after that, putting the pieces together. "Get out."
"What?"
"GET OUT I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU!" you yelled pinching the bridge of your noise holding back tears. "No we should talk-"
"Gabriel." you said flatly, glaring up at him. He looked down and quickly left the room. You followed slamming the door shut. He stood there for a little bit and soon enough heard you sobbing. "I'm sorry..." you heard him mumble. Outside the door. You stopped and just burried your head in your arms chocking on sobs trying to ignore the memories that where lost that started flooding your head.
When he got no response he sighed and took a seat outside your door hoping you would open it and let him explain or help.
