well youre in luck, one of em is the title character!! there is quite a bit to say on them!

(and yeah the names are cute!!! the mega man classic series quite often uses musical terms and genres for naming its characters, so what better names for twins than rock and roll?)

ok so! rock and roll light are the first two light numbers, dln-001 and dln-002! though they're technically not the first two, since their older brother blues (dln-000) is a guy who exists. either way, rock nd roll are the first two as far as the public is concerned, blues aint exactly public knowledge i dont think.

heres whats neat about these two: theyre twins. and what that means for robots is their inner workings are the exact same. their only differences are what they look like, at least until they develop their own personalities once they come online. even as they grow independently, theyre VERY similar and have the same views on a lot of things. the main variation between them is their courage.

they both have a very strong sense of justice, something their father made sure of when he was building them, but roll isnt exactly the bravest of the bunch. shes baby and would rather not throw herself in harms way. rock, on the other hand, is willing to fight for whats right - even if hes not particularly fond of fighting. because of that, rock was modified into a combat robot (MEGA MAN!) while roll stayed as she was. but she definitely helps from the sidelines!!

rock and roll light arent the only characters in the franchise named rock and roll (see: megaman.exe, whos also known as rockman, and roll.exe as well as rock volnutt and roll caskett) but they are the first to do so and also my faves :3 theyre silly!!!

and small fun fact: rock's eyes are consistently blue but roll's have been green before (though theyre usually also blue.) also the twins have The Same Face. i believe in some of the mega man manga its been commented on, how they look (and often act) the same while also being so different.

second fun fact: their older brother is named blues. rock n roll, the genre, came from blues. it makes sense that the one who came before rock and roll would be named blues!
