A reminder that it's heavily implied that Kris isn't urging Noelle through the snowgrave route.
The player is.
Kris doesn't call for her in the final fight, everyone says they are acting weird and they are visibly shaken after Noelle freezes Berdsly.
The player is forcing Kris to manipulate Noelle in this way and it is hurting them too.
I'm really hoping that this comes into play in later chapters if the snowgrave type routes continue

These two lines really make me feel like Susie is only a bully for, let's say, survival reasons. But that's as coherent as i can get so i'm going to ramble the rest of my thoughts on the tags.

what do you think anout the theory that spamton saw the real world and not the light world?
i think, whether or not spamton saw our world as well, it's pretty explicit, narratively tight, thematic, AND important that the blinding light spamton saw was indeed the light world!
i do think there are cases wherein darkners are juggling both at once, and i think you could easily apply that to spamton too. when writing, for example, i use the theory that spamton and jevil were initially meant to be player guides like ralsei, who appears aware of both higher realities in the game itself as well as in my interpretation of him.
Tumblr media
(for posterity's sake, queen mentions pressing buttons a couple of times too, but that's because of a running gag with the controls of the car and robots she and kris pilot, not because she's overtly meta aware.)
but i think it's important to remember just how the light world slots into spamton's deal, both thematically and mechanically. on the mechanical end, we have the way he saw it at all; the shadow crystals. we get to see how they look from the dark world for ourselves, and this isn't just for show. we're getting to see what spamton saw, too.
Tumblr media
to us, it may look ordinary. but to the darkners, that world is a blinding light. the light world is a terrifying place with an incredible power (which i'll touch on in just a moment as well), a place where the darkners are literally objects. seeing their worldstate literalized like that is mindbending – not only are they darkners made to serve a higher reality, they exist as nothing but objects to ordinary people in that reality. and objects aren't granted any autonomy, no matter how autonomous they might imagine themselves to be. they're not just computer (darkner type), they're Literally a computer being used by a person the same way spamton might drive a car or swatch might organize the plates in their cafe. seeing that is not only eldritch, but it's also got an element of realizing just how binding fate is baked in there too. it's seeing the strings of fate in their most distilled state. seeing the click of a mouse that guides swatch to bring the neo body into reality. seeing the searches typed directly onto queen's keys. seeing the bright, clear line that delineates all of it.
Tumblr media
i've touched on how spamton parses this (because he's a grindset guy at heart, someone who doesn't necessarily question the system) in some other posts, which you can check out here and here and here.
but this brings us into the thematic element. deltarune uses religious imagery quite often, especially in reference to higher realities, and we can see that and the aforementioned strings of fate coming into play with neo. neo is something i talk about a lot in my swatchton meta because i feel it is crucial to understanding who spamton is as a character.
and the neo body is a vector of god – literally.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(see also; the dialogue of seam discussing the shadow crystal from earlier.)
and this is why spamton describes it the way he does, why he wants it so badly. it's powerful – made by a lightner. (he wants a perfect body he wants a perfect soul, you know the song.) the lightners have the power to determine the fate of the darkners, and so too does neo have an incredible power itself. could it grant spamton the power to determine his own fate?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
well, not quite. it's still a part of this world, after all – there's no escaping the strings. no one can choose who they are in this world, and trying to game the system still leaves you smack dab in the middle of it.
there's a common thought that, because of the wall in spamton's shop, spamton must've seen the light of the sun. i think, if he did see both worlds, it's possible! but it seems more likely that either he didn't see the sun at all and was burned by the light that is the light world; the weird layout of the light world wasn't considered while making this choice (because there are so many rooms with impossible windows in the light world, particularly the school); and/or, more likely and most thematically,
Tumblr media
he saw a beautiful blue sky more like this one. after all, the library might not have windows, but it does have windows.

Wait, Ive only just heard about Gen and Daneel possibly using black magic...Now, I have never liked Daneel Ackles, she just gives bad vibes but I thought Gen was okay. Now that Im reading more into this whole conspiracy, I'm starting to think this is maybe true. Could you explain some reasons why you think Jensen and Jared's wives would be using black magic? Thank you so much.
Hello Anon thank you for stopping by. So I see you recently came across my posts about them doing black magic and perhaps some other posts. Well, I am aware Gen and Danneel both have fibbed about their personal history or at the very least exaggerated things.
Danneel lied about which Christian branch she was part of growing up and from what I've heard where she grew up too. Also, in a video Danneel did, she admitted the hardest thing she's ever done in her life was getting the abortion she did years ago. Based on what others have speculated, this was when she was with her ex Riley and assumingly so was his. Really, with Danneel what you see is what you get. She has barely ever hidden who she is, which is clear in how many more anti Danneel bloggers used to be on Tumblr and how many notes anti Danneel posts get on here still (mine included) compared to Anti Gen posts. According to several stories I've heard and past posts of hers, she was extremely territorial of Jensen and has apparently made some fans cry in the past.
Gen on the other hand tends to play nice with social rules and this is why she tends to fly under the radar a lot more easily. Gen I think exaggerates things like how horrible it was transitioning from California to Montana when she was like 12 years old or so. Also, "Oh what a HUGE mistake it was going to boarding school with my brother", I'm sorry but give me a break girl, you made that choice. She did admit she's not troubled like her Wildfire character Kris Furillo was however. Gen generally flies under the radar because people don't really look into her podcasts or even her blog she used to post on a lot NowandGen.
Now, onto why the wives would partake in black magic. Let's be honest here, a vast majority of their followers on social media damn well follow them because of who they're married to. Funny timing of me getting this ask this morning, as just yesterday I took the liberty of looking at some statistics regarding how many of Gen's followers follow Jared and vice versa as well as with Danneel and Jensen. Interestingly enough, all 4 of them joined Instagram August 2015, which can be found in the "About Account" tab after hitting the 3 dots on the upper right hand corner of the profile in question.
For some reason, the following statistics info wasn't available on Jensen's page but was on Jared, Danneel and Gen's profiles on Instagram.
As you can see below, 88% of Gen's followers also follow Jared and 90% of them follow Jensen. I know this is not an exact figure but Gen has approximately 1.4 million followers. To put some of these numbers into perspective, 88% of 1.4 million equals about 1,232,000 or 1.2 million.
For Danneel, about 55% of her approximately 1.2 million followers also follow Gen and 92% of her followers also follow Jensen. Gen has a little more followers than Danneel, thus why it says 50% of Gen's followers also follow Danneel. 92% of 1.2 million is 1,104,000 which also reads in short as 1.1 million. Now Jensen has 11.6 million followers on Instagram. Taking the 1,104,000/11.6 million and you see that 10.34% of Jensen's followers also follow Danneel.
You go on Jared's and you won't see Gen on there. You will see that 54% of his followers also follow Misha and 85% follow Jensen. Taking this 1.2 million/6.5 million, this makes it so that about 18.9% of Jared's followers also follow Gen.
If we want to look at Jared vs Jensen just for shits and giggles, 85% of 6.5 million gives us 5,525,000. This means about 48.04% of Jensen's followers also follow Jared.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So just what the hell do these numbers above mean? With my playing with numbers here, it can be deduced that what people say about Gen and Danneel with the whole "if it weren't for their husbands, no one would know who they are" sentiment critics have seems to hold water based on the Instagram statistics. I mean I could've told you all this was true but you know, people like numbers so let's give it to them. Make it so they shut up, go outside and touch grass to "ground" themselves as Gen might say 😂 Sorry couldn't resist! As for the big difference between Jared's 6.5 million versus Jensen's 11.5 million is for multiple reasons but also at this point Jensen and Jared have some different audiences now also.
Danneel I think saw Jensen at some point before he ever stepped foot on the set of Supernatural. If you believe what other seers on here have said about Danneel, it's been said she used her tarot deck to determine if she should be with Riley or with Jensen as far as who is going to be wealthier or something like that. It's been said the cards told her she will live a more extravagant life with Jensen than with Riley. For Danneel, it was more or less wanting a handsome husband who also is wealthy. Who doesn't?
As for Gen, she supposedly never watched Supernatural prior to auditioning according to this Rise Together podcast she did with Dave Hollis back in Nov 2020. However, I have this inkling she has done witchcraft also for a long time like Danneel has but just doesn't outwardly say it. I think the black magic actually started with Peggy Rometo, the childhood psychic who told Gen when she was younger that her husband will be a producer one day, is intuitive, etc. (or should I say "Intuitive Expert"). Kinda interesting that Jared doesn't follow her on Instagram but Gen and Charlie both do. I get we're not all obligated to follow whoever our significant other does, but shouldn't Jared be more curious about this psychic friend of Gen's mother who Gen says was so right about her husband?
Honestly, I think Jared can be perspective at times but I will agree with this Anon who brought the Bathroom Chronicles Episode 11 podcast to my attention, where Gen and Peggy talked about Peggy's predictions of who Gen would marry one day that he seems more naïve and trusting than he should be. If you ask me, truly intuitive people do not trust a good chunk of people and often can sense when things are "amiss" but what do I know, right? I'm sorry but as much as I adore Jared as a person, he really trusts people too easily and the wrong people in that too.
Bottom line, why would these 2 do black magic on their husbands? It boils down to greed and because let's just face it, Gen built her little empire piggybacking on her husband and her "family image", just as Danneel's career these days mostly consists of riding her husband's coattails. It's much easier to ride on someone else's behind to live an easy life of luxury you didn't earn than it is to earn it yourself like their husbands did. It takes drive, motivation, ambition, and enough intelligence and at times charisma to achieve that kind of lifestyle if you aren't born into it. Gen from my understanding is from a wealthier background than Danneel is, which makes this more interesting. Both of them however come from easy backgrounds and have had relatively little struggles (and in my opinion even less talent, brains, and skill) in their lives.
I will say that based on how things have played out and are still, I believe that it's more likely Gen is trying harder to make it so her husband dies younger (multiple times getting COVID and generally getting sick a lot, car accident he was in, etc.) than Danneel is who seems to be trying harder to keep her husband around. Outwardly Gen is trying to make it look like she cares about him a whole lot as I and others talked about.
As an added bonus, I find it funny as hell how JUST last night also one of my best friends and I were talking about how we don't think Gen and Jared are having much sex anymore and then this morning this Mamoosh libido supplement shows up as yet another one of Gen's advertisements this morning. Honey, we know you two are probably not getting it on much anymore for multiple reasons so who are you taking it this supplement for? Trying to keep your easy cushy lifestyle with Jared by promising him more sex? "See honey yet another supplement but this one specifically to make me want sex more, let's try to stick this out longer". Gen honey your and Peggy's, as well as Danneel and her mom's black magic ain't gonna last much longer. Get over it....

Observation I had like last week that someone else probably figured out like, a year ago, but I came up with it independently at least so I thought I would share it now while I still remember
Tumblr media
There’s the choice of gifts for the vessel in the goner maker sequence right? Kindness, mind, ambition, bravery, and voice. The significance of these concepts is kind of never is demonstrated because you know. Your wonderful creation will now be discarded and all
(Slightly interestingly but not totally relevantly for this post, this choice in the sequence is the only one that doesn’t default to the first option if a save is started from chapter 2, instead defaulting to “Mind”. This is probably just because apparently these choices are stored in a weird way where their values are backwards and go into the negatives which puts Mind as 0 rather than say, 1. So that’s the reason for that, but it’s a bit inexplicable why it’d be coded that way. I really got nothing about that part)
But I was thinking, it’s too early to say confidently right now but it might be feasible to map these gifts to some slightly tenuous relation to the shadow crystal bosses...?
Spamton is extremely easy to associate with the concept of ambition it’s kind of like his thing really. Very ambitious (first with normal ambitions like “wanting to be popular and successful” and then the more existential “wanting to obtain an unattainable freedom” you know how it is)
Tumblr media
^ (I was going to include more examples of dialogue that demonstrated this trait in him but I got sick of looking through the text dump and also realized that practically every other thing he says can fit this. It’s just kind of how he is you know him)
Jevil is kinda harder to come up with anything so clear for because of his comparative lack of presence, but it’s pretty easy to describe him as having lost his mind after meeting the “strange someone” (Though apparently the game itself never actually uses that specific phrasing with regards to him! Huh.) so then one could then associate him with mind...he also has more emphasis on the fact that he has some mysterious knowledge that doesn’t really make sense to anyone else (which is probably not unique to him, but seam’s description of him focuses on that aspect more than anything about spamton does). That’s all I got really. i miss jevil
And while I’m really not very good at writing down analysis or sticking things together in my brain evidently, the goner maker and the shadow crystal bosses are both currently the most outwardly “gaster-y” seeming parts of the game, so maybe it’s not too much of a stretch to consider they may have some relevance to each other. So if this reasoning were to track, then one could presume the next shadow crystal bosses could have themes of “kindness”, “bravery”, and “voice”...? Though in keeping with the two we have so far it may be more fitting to say they could be themed from a distortion of those things. (The “voice” part was what really started me on this train of thought since I thought it would be an interesting theme to parallel with Noted Silent (as far as the player can hear) Protagonist Kris...No I’m totally not backwards engineering evidence to fit a conclusion that I just thought would sound cool don’t look at me aaaaahhh!!!)
The weird thing though is that there’s only 5 of these gifts and generally most people assume there’d be 6 secret bosses (usually nobody thinks there’s one in the 7th chapter, because the game would end there). I suppose that was never guaranteed and was always just a guess from how many chapters there are, but it would make me wonder what’d be up with chapter 6 then...

N and/or T for the ask game? c:
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice): Since I already answered this one for Deltarune I'll be answering this one for my second primary interest, The Sims 2! :) 1. I wish Simmers cared less about what other people think on what they do in their Sandbox game at times. The most interesting stories and gameplays were those of Simmers who just fully played their game the way they wanted to. For example, Alpha CC often gets kinda looked down upon in the Sims 2 fandom nowadays and while the more realistic look definitely isn't my cup of tea I love how much time these Simmers put into their Sims and general enjoyment. Heck my favourite Sims Streamer plays with Alpha CC haha! Or heck, if you want to pair Buzz Grunt with Brandi Broke, please do that, have fun! Who cares how random some of it is.
2. I honestly would love to see more stuff related to Veronaville, Belladonna Cove and Desiderata Valley. The fandom really loves Pleasantview and Strangetown and while I definitely love those towns I feel like the other ones can be quite interesting as well sometimes and do deserve some love.
3. Would love to see more fanart, especially of the spin-off games, who get so little attention but are quite interesting. While it's quite easy to find when you know where to look, there are so many characters that would look so nice in art! :'D
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything): Answering this one for The Sims 2 and Deltarune hehe! I'm always bad with coming up with these from the top of my head so I may be forgetting a few but here are some that immediately pop in my mind:
For The Sims 2: - Tybalt Capp, Hal Capp, Orion Tricou, Annie Howell, Nervous Subject and Tank Grunt are all gay. Nothing can change this for me haha. I refuse to ever pair them with a Sim of the opposite gender. - Daniel Pleasant and Mary-Sue Pleasant both made mistakes in their relationship and will likely never manage to work out romantically. The best option for them is to get a divorce and once they've had the time to work on themselves I can see them becoming very close friends again, but that's also where it stays. - All of the Tricou Sims were Vampires and Jon Smith isn't a good person despite what his personality may tell you. - Veronaville is doomed to follow a similar fate to what they were based on, meaning many people will die. The only difference is that they may be able to write the ending to their tale. - Sims biology works very different, hence pretty much anyone would be able to have a biological kid, regardless of gender. This means two female Sims or two male Sims can also have biological kids. I mean heck, the game gives me this option, why not run with it? Sims 2 biology is way too much fun not to see what kids will look like! xD - Romeo Monty, Hermia Capp, Puck Summerdream, Hal Capp and Unborn Baby Broke (who is named Skippy in my game) are trans. I also really like the headcanon of trans Jenny Smith.
For Deltarune: - Jevil, Spamton, Berdly, Noelle, Rouxls, Diamond King and Swatch are all trans. (Of course Kris, Seam, Mettaton and Mew Mew are in canon, but I'm just mentioning headcanons here). - Darkners are NOT one or two days old. I really dislike the headcanon that they became sentient the moment their fountains were open. I feel like they are all AT LEAST as old as their Light World objects are, if not older. As of right now I headcanon while some Darkners came with their objects, some existed long before them and once an object came into the world with their properties they became connected to it. Upon being connected to an object their strengths and capabilities increase. The Fountains are moreso a bridge if anything that makes it possible for Lightners to properly interact with them or see them. - Spamton and Jevil were in a sense written to be each other's counterpart. A balance so to say. Hence while their first instinct is to dislike each other, they grow especially close and inseparable over time. - Kris is selectively mute and has a form of autism. They are capable of speaking at times, but when they can't they use sign language which most people around them know by now. Ralsei, Berdly and Noelle also have a form of Autism. - Both Spamton and Jevil have a form of Tourettes and ADHD. - The reason Rouxls enjoyed long dungeon walks is because of the fact he got to speak to most of the people King Spades inprisoned. This includes the Diamond King, with who he became especially close. - Rouxls was once married to King Spades. When King Spades turned out the way he did he stripped Rouxls off his title, but a part of him couldn't bear to part entirely with him, hence he got turned into the Duke of Puzzles. - Jevil is the direct cause of Seam's injuries, which happened during a performance and were the final blow that made King Spades decide to have Seam imprison him. - Seam is likely one, if not the most powerful entity we'll ever encounter in the Dark World. - The Weather People from Chapter 3 are siblings, twins to be more specific and I will die on this hill unless proven wrong lmao. Which knowing my luck will probably happen. :'D - Noelle was the one that caused so much destruction to the first half of Chapter 2. It's why Queen knew she was powerful and wanted to protect her from it, she's witnessed it first hand! - Spamton is not and has never been an Addison which is why he always struggled to fully fit in with them or sell properly. He looks an awful lot like them, but he still isn't an Addison. His hair also was never fully white. - Noelle is a lesbian, Susie is bi, Kris is pan, Berdly is bi, Ralsei is pan, Spamton is pan (which with Sweepstakes seems to be confirmed as canon?), Jevil is pan, Rouxls is gay, Queen is bi, Tasque is a lesbian. Aaand I can go on like this for a while haha. - After the events of the game Spamton sort of becomes Kris's adoptive uncle and Jevil Noelle's adoptive uncle. - Kris and Berdly become a couple somewhere in college. - More of a theory as of right now, but I headcanon there are multiple Knights, with there only being one TRUE Knight. - Another that's moreso a theory as of right now. But I think Ralsei is aware of the Player, knows outside knowledge and actively despises us. This is why he wants those moments alone with Kris so he can speak with them, one on one without having someone spying on them. I also don't think Ralsei is evil, but he will end up doing questionable things that will end up hurting his friends without him realizing it. - I refuse to believe Kris and Berdly dislike each other, especially after Sweepstakes. I feel like the two have a rival-like relationship and love to tease each other. But at the end of the day when all is said and done they regularly love playing games with each other and probably have the weirdest Minecrap server out of everyone haha. I mean heck, when you give the gift to Berdly Kris runs over to him of their own accord to hand it over haha. - I like to think Berdly is pretty good at painting and drawing!
Sooooo, that's all for now lmao! If I remember any that I might have missed, I'll post them somewhere over time! xD

Sam & Colby Goatman Bridge video
video here: (3) The Demon on Goatman's Bridge (w/ KallmeKris) - YouTube
en the Estes method said "body" "own it" It was saying he owns Sam's body. He was using Sam to communicate and previously stabbed him as well. Attached to him. Same is probably a perfect vessel for shit like that since he is a small(people were on average shorter around the time frame of many deaths from the places they visit somewhere. Like the further back you go the more shorter everyone seemed to be.) and young blonde and blue-eyed man. A favorite and timeless look. The brotherhood from the us prison(he fit the criteria for the brotherhood perfectly), the sallies house(almost like an older brother look for Sallie), the axe murder house(the popularity of his looks during that time), the conjuring(how many soldiers were described back then), you can probably connect many more places they have been directly to Sam's looks and purely his looks and awareness for this kind of other worldly stuff. Kris would be the perfect type of thing like that too being small and blonde and also being a woman who were usually perceived as "easy" and "weak" and "manipulatable"
Colby on the other hand is a taller and dark person and kind of in tune with this edgy kind of energy that I feel would intimidate spirits and what not. You can't really make a dark person dark if their thoughts already venture into those kinds of places. And yes, I know it's a fashion choice and whatever, but you have to have the attitude to dress like that as well. He also has a Cross but that may not help especially if he was laughed at through the spirit box for having it.
I feel like the "own it" part could also be the spirit saying he owns the necklace and he said "lady" "her" and stuff like that because Kris took it and joked(taunted if you will) that the necklace was hers now. The spirit may not have been saying he owned or wanted Kris but just the necklace.
Also, when he said "between" Sam did not pass through the trees physically, but he was put under between the trees right below the opening. Sam's spirit could have been coaxed to pass through to receive more spirit box answers. The spirit box also said "Welcome to ???" then after that it said "The other side!" as if it was annoyed for repeating the second part which is a valid feeling when you are trying to make a cool intro or whatever. But either way I believe it said "Welcome to the Other Side" TO SAM AS HE CROSSED THE PORTAL WITH HIS OWN SPIRIT and not to Colby or Kris who were further from the tree and standing still. This leads me to believe that the Estes method is not only using you to communicate through the spirit box authentically but also to speak to the conduit. Almost like when you are conversing with two friends about an experience only you and one friend had so you take brief breaks between talking to the one friend to give context to the second friend so they can follow your story.
I also believe the prophecy came true for the Sam crying part. He may not have bawled his eyes out but the Estes method does make your eyes water up as if you were on the verge of crying. I cannot think of anything for the dirt and blood on his face though the red light could have been the blood.

Thinking some Thoughts about the parallels and mirrors between Lavinia and Kris.  (thank you SO much to @enchanted-lightning-aes for making me start thinking about this, and linking the questions that started these thoughts!)
REALLY long ramble under the cut!  (TW for abuse/neglect, and mentions of murder.)
They both came from families that had bigger priorities than them, but how they responded to it is literally the exact opposite.  Kris said “fuck this shit” and did everything he could to make his family embarrassed, while Lavinia did everything she could to make her family (and also Victor) proud.
Kris thinks of himself as useless, and has accepted his fate as being worthless.  His biggest goal in life is maybe, somehow, make it out of his family’s clutches.  But he does’t believe it will really happen. Lavinia wants to be important.  She wants to be the head of the charge, the reason that the rebels are able to succeed.  To be chosen for her mission was basically the fulfillment of all of her dreams.
Lavinia approaches every problem with logic.  In her mind, reacting based on emotion is suicide.  In a tense situation, a rash decision could get her capture or killed.  She looks for the path that leads to success, and if that’s impossible, she looks for the path to escape with her life.   Kris basically acts on nothing but emotions.  He never thinks his decisions through, because to him, the results don’t matter.  Everyone in Oryn already thinks he’s a drunken fool, and there’s no point in trying to change their minds.
That’s the other thing.  Kris has nothing to prove, and nothing to lose.  It’s his word against that of his family, and really all of Oryn.  He’s never going to win that battle.  So he doesn’t even try.  Why waste the effort? Lavinia has everything to prove.  She needs to be the best, to be the top of the class.  She wants to be the head of the rebels someday, and in order for that to happen, she needs to be taken seriously.  Everything she does is in effort to prove herself as the best.
Lavinia volunteered to come to Anvia.  She hoped and prayed and pleaded to come.  When she was chosen, it made her feel like the top of the world.  All her dreams were coming true. Kris had no choice in coming to Anvia.  He was told he was going, and that was that, end of discussion.  He was told it was his last chance, but somewhere, some tiny little part of him was hopeful.  Hopeful that it was his first chance.
Kris would never break a promise.  He’s seen too many broken in his life, heard too many lies, and he knows how it hurts.  While he’s not one to share his feelings, he’s also not one to blatantly lie to people he cares about.  To him, a promise is a vow, and you’d better do your best to follow through with it. Lavinia sees the truth as fluid, shapeable.  She can change it, twist it to fit her needs.  A promise is nothing but a sweet little lie.  Her entire life is based on lies.
Also, they come from different sides of the kingdom, ideologically.  While they both think there’s something rotten in the state of Denmark Oryn, they disagree on what it is. Kris sees that his family is ruining Oryn by exploiting the people and using up all of the natural resources.  He doesn’t know how to fix it, all he knows is that it has to change. Lavinia sees Kristopher’s family as a curse for a different reason.  Pierre (Kris’s father) upheld the peace treaty with Anvia made by his father.  In Lavinia’s mind, it should never have been made in the first place, and Anvia should be part of Oryn by now. Even going by Lavinia’s lie of a backstory, they’re on opposite sides of the kingdom.  According to her lie, Lavinia was raised in Ironkeep, a northern mining fortress.  She would have benefitted and profitted immensely from the money made from the mining operations.  She’s only seen the “benefits” of the Pelle family’s poor decisions.  She also would only have heard controlled information from the captial.  She would hear good things about the royal family, and bad things about Kris. Kris on the other hand, sees how his family’s poison is killing Oryn, both in people and in nature.  He knows that his family is shitty rulers, and while he wouldn’t do much better (he doesn’t have the knowledge or temperment to be King), he knows they have to go.
And last but not at all least, there’s Fallon.   To Lavinia, Fallon is a mission, and object.  She’s an item to check off a list, an obstacle in her path.  She doesn’t actually care about Fallon, no matter what she pretends.  She’s been told for years about the evils of Anvia and Fallon’s family and Fallon herself.  Even meeting Fallon hasn’t changed her view.   Kris on the other hand, well, Fallon is his everything.  She’s the first person who ever saw him as something other than a joke.  And while he refuses to believe it at first, he’s falling in love with her.  She showed him what it felt like to be in love, and he adores her for it.  She’s kind and smart, and a good Queen.  She’s nothing like anyone he’s ever met.
So yeah, Fallon is going to change both of their lives forever.  It literally is “one wants to kiss her, the other wants to kill her”, lmao.

When it comes to Noir's AU it's called Monotale, basically his story is that his Frisk are two different children. Queenie and King who are about the age of Kris and may possibly be older than them.
Gaster in this AU made Sans and Papyrus raising to understand the darker forms of love magic*. While it wasn't their natural magic they both easily attuned and were put in charge of Queenie and King.
Gaster would feed off of Sans and Papyrus who would feed off of Queenie and King. However Papyrus and Sans never tried to use any type of negative enforcement on the both of them. Gaster didn't take that well, to make up for the lost magic he started injecting the matter that would congeal on the bodies of amalgamations into Sans and Papyrus.
Their emotions fueled Gaster's magic and in turn they would have to keep their LV up. Papyrus wore down quickly though, Sans noticed something was wrong and decided to handle it all on his own.
He ripped Papyrus' soul out and injected his brother's soul into Queenie and King, killing Papyrus while magically powering the children. To Sans that was the best to keep his brother's memory while also putting him out of his misery.
The same day he overloaded the Core and lured Gaster there, killing Gaster and making it out with the kids.
They do make it to the surface in this AU. It's...just, Noir learns about a love of making dolls and made the choice that Monsters needed a leader who was more perceptive than a Goat who couldn't see the atrocities that were being committed by monsters in his court.
*Love magic is a powerful form of magic that have many different sections but boils down into a few. It tends to come from feeding off of the passive magic that leeks off from the natural world and that is part of what makes it powerful. However the magic used can also be taken from other living beings but that comes with the potential with the user hurting the person the love. This means even the user gaining levels of LV but in a way where the burn of it doesn't just effect them but the person they took the magic from. Because of the victims lack of LVs they will either have to raise their own LV or slowly die like a rotting from the inside out.
*Noir changed his name after he blew up the Core and lived in a pocket space that he created in Waterfall. Queenie and King feel a familial connection to Noir and it's actually good for them. Noir would never harm the children as he finds his father's way of raising him disgusts him, but will teach them values that... aren't morally the best. He thinks he does everything out of love when it comes to people he cares about, however when he hates he HATES.
There are a lotta fucked up and weird about him, but like...I would like to draw it more.

Undertale x Deltarune: The “D” Blood Type Is Valid
[Note: Do Not Reblog Without My Permission]
we know that when making a Vessel in Deltarune, even if it does get discarded in the end...
there are the different blood types to choose from, and one of the choices does have “D” in there, and some might believe that doesn’t exist...
but tell that to my blood type being O RH D Negative, which once again I still need to try not to procrastinate in checking to see if my blood type comes out like that for a third time, I really need to try to get around to it, hopefully this year.
and if I want to view the “D” part as being Determination, then I will.
just like how a person who is Aroace or Aroaceflux/Fictoromantic (which the Fictoromantic/Aroaceflux is me, and maybe a few others.) or any one who is under the Asexual spectrum, is valid.
a blood type that is viewed to “not be real”, is valid even if it might be different from a asexuality, sexuality and gender identities.
even if the D blood type might not be viewed as much important as the other types, doesn’t mean it isn’t valid and isn’t still a part of me and others who have it.
even if the D blood type is slightly different from the other types.
I hope we hear some new updates about the next new chapters of Deltarune soon, as well as FNAF Ruin DLC....
I hope I can play Bendy And Dark Revival, when I am able to...
for now, I don’t mind watching walkthroughs and playthroughs of it.
I know there is a possibility that some might not take this talk seriously, but it is possible that too many people have that “D isn’t a real blood type” view, because of it being one of the blood type choices from the start of the Deltarune game.
and well, I guess those who do have “D” in their blood type might be becoming tired of some people saying that “D” is not a real blood type...
and well, don’t forget, you are valid even if some might say that “D” isn’t a real blood type, stay determined and remember I and others are with you in the dark. :)
even if it is still good that the “D” is still mention, even if some of it is a funny joke, which is fine but those who still think it isn’t real, should perhaps try to look it up, and it be interesting if there was a fan art where Frisk, Kris and Chara are talking about blood types, and Kris saying that “D” blood type isn’t real, but then Chara tells them “but my blood type is O RH D Negative....and it has “D” in it.....” and the other two end up being in silence, even as Chara shows them some paper with proof of their blood type.
Undertale and Deltarune are my favorite games, and it is kind of interesting that they had added “D” blood type as one of the choices, which I will pick that every time, unless I want to change it up once in a while and choose one of the other blood types.
anyway, maybe it would be a good idea that some who did think the D blood type didn’t exist, even if it is a little different from the other types...
the D type blood, might just be slightly different, but even if it might be slightly different from the others, doesn’t mean it isn’t still valid.
so my and others who have “D” in with the other part of their blood type, either it be O RH D Positive or O RH D Negative, or like AB D Positive or Negative or which ever blood type anyone is that has the “D type” in it.
that “D blood group” should be seen as valid, even if it is slightly different from others who’s blood type doesn’t come out with the “D” with it.
and I hope my trying to talk about this, isn’t misinterpreted and some understand what I am trying to say.
and I can still view the “D” part of my blood type being Determination, cause it’s fun to view it that way. :)
so with those who have “D” type in their blood, stay Determined.

Deltarune Theory: Spamton, The Player & Freedom
As some of you might know by my occassional ramblings and the fact that i post 10 pics of the guy per day bc of my 100+ queue I've been a little unwell about Spamton and Deltarune as a whole lately, and recently while trying to ramble about a different topic I realized something:
I think we, the player, the soul, are a bigger part of this game that we are giving credit for.
After all, what are some of the main themes of Deltarune? Lack of freedom, lack of control, how your choices don't matter... And if we look on a smaller scale, if we look at characters like Kris and Spamton you can also add to the mix a certain level of disconnect with your own body, but maybe i'm going too off topic there... (maybe?)
This is to say, don't you think these things apply quite well to the soul, to us, too? Sure, we control Kris, but Kris is free of ripping us out temporarily and often adds their own input to the things we ask them to say (and even says things on their own), not to mention how they get around to avoid doing what we asked or avoid revealing certain information to us.
On top of that, there's our vessel. The body we were meant to have and freely use, that was, in theory, discarded. And i think this is very imporant because many pick up on Kris being trapped with us, but not as much on us being trapped with KRIS. What we have is an uneassy alliance, a sort of symbiotic relationship, we need one another to exist. But we still aren't free.
And this is where Spamton comes in, our EV3RY BUDDY 'S FAVORITE [[Number 1 Rated Salesman1997]] and number 1 freedom yearning puppet, who offers us the highly valued [Hyperlink Blocked] which he believes will carry one to freedom and such.
And it is true that freedom is something Kris might want, but don't forget Kris isn't the only one in control of their body. We too are the ones going straight back to that salesman and doing his little quest.
And this is even more true in the Weird Route, the route where we strip all control from Kris AND Noelle to the point she can only hear us talking, and it's the route where Spamton says at the end "IT’S YOU AND THAT [Hochi Mama]! YOU’VE BEEN [making], HAVEN’T YOU! YOU’VE BEEN MAKING [Hyperlink Blocked]!".
And if you, like me, believe the meaning of [Hyperlink Blocked] is LOVE, then this would make a lot of sense, after all, what were some of the biggest complaints people had about chapter 1 when it released?
Lack of multiple routes, namely a genocide one, and lack of control.
And Toby Fox, being the monkey paw ass guy he is, obligued to the fans request. You want control? You want murder? Okay, there you go.
Not only that, but the weird route is the only one where Spamton never learns Kris' name, only called them kid, making the fact that Kris has nothing to do with our insane rampage even more explicit.
And on top of everything, Spamton was right. We did in fact gain control and a certain level of freedom thanks to this, our choices, the player choices, now REALLY mattered. And the consequences were devastating, hell, even Spamton died here.
So, with all this said, I think my point has become clear. I think our role in the story is very significant, and it even perfectly ties with the themes and the existing characters.
Very excited to see this develop further as more chapters come out 😁

Home For the Holidays Part 4
After dinner Tony, Dante, Gibbs, and Jack moved to the living room.
“So when is everyone due to start arriving?” Gibbs asked.
“Mom and Dad get here tomorrow morning and the squadron has been filtering in already. A few of the guys are staying with Flash, a couple decided hotel rooms were better since their wives were with them and only two can’t make it till New Years.” Tony smiled. “Pretty impressive turn out.”
Dante looked at Tony and sighed. “They will always come when they are able Tonio. The only reason we don’t gather everyone every year is because they do need to spend time with their own families. Given the choice you always will win hands down.”
“Well we are a fun group. Not much left to get ready though, Jack. So we can sit and relax.”
Jack looked at Tony with that piercing Gibbs stare. “You mean to tell me son, that you did everything?”
Tony swallowed realizing that he was on Dante’s side. “Just a few things…not too much really...took it easy…” Tony muttered.
Gibbs was hiding his smirk as he watched what transpired; it was really too much fun to see Jack in all his grandfatherly glory.
Raising an eyebrow Jack continued. “Might want to speak up a bit son, don’t think I heard everything.”
“I might have done a few things. I honestly took it easy but I was bored.”
Dante looked at Jack. “He did the majority of cooking too.”
Tony’s jaw dropped open. “Seriously Dante? You would throw me under the bus? Your own damn husband?”
Dante grinned at Tony. “Damn straight! When he doesn’t behave and puts himself at risk, I’ll throw him under the bus in a heartbeat!”
Tony slumped down on the couch. “I really did take it easy.”
Jack smirked. “Taking it easy and you don’t belong in the same sentence. You’re just like Jethro, never did have a lick of sense when he was hurt. Always tried to do it all and never slowed down. Then wondered why it took twice as long for him to recover.”
“Dad.” Gibbs growled.
“True.” Jack patted Tony’s knee. “A lot of people care about you, nothing wrong with that or letting them help you till you’re back on your feet. You can’t tell me that you don’t miss being in the air.”
Tony grinned. “Ok…I give. I’ll take it easy and listen or at least to the best of my ability. And you’re right Jack. Not flying is killing me.” He turned his head to look Dante in the eye. “For you I will sit on my ass and rest.”
Dante grinned right back and leaned into whisper. “Don’t worry; I’ll make sure your ass is well taken care of.”
Dante sat back up. “Since ‘Superman’ has everything under control, we can watch a movie and relax. I’ll make some popcorn.”
“Sounds like a fine idea. We can watch one of those holiday flicks you always go on about. Been a long time since I’ve seen them. Which ones have you boys got?”
Dante laughed from the kitchen and Gibbs struggled to hold in his amusement as well. Tony glared in their general direction before smiling sheepishly at Jack. “Have all of them Jack, as Twiddle Dee and Tweedle Dumb are inferring by their laughter”.
Jack chuckled. “Nothing wrong with a hobby son, movies are one of yours. Bet you have a few. So which one tonight? I haven’t seen Miracle on 34th Street in a great many years, how about that one?”
Tony stood to grab the movie. “Fine choice Jack. I always loved Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle.” He smiled at Jack. “Makes you believe in Santa and miracles.”
Jack reached out and squeezed Tony’s shoulder. “Miracles come in all kinds of sizes and many different ways son. Some of us are a might grateful that you’re here with us. A great deal to be thankful for.”
Tony nodded, unable to find his voice as he sensed Dante’s eyes on him. He met them across the room and found all the love that he held was mirrored there.
Tony cleared his throat. “Ok movie is ready and the popcorn and beer and a soda for me. Let’s do this.” The four men sat back and simply enjoyed the movie and each other’s company. When it finished Dante looked down and smiled. Tony was asleep with his head on his shoulder and relaxed look on his face.
He looked at Gibbs and Jack. “He made the spare rooms in the back up for you two. If you need anything you know where it is, take whatever you need.”
Gibbs looked at Jack. “I’ll get the gear from the car. I already figured we’d spend the night and brought our stuff.” Turning to look at Tony, he pulled the blanket down from the couch and covered them both up.
“You both look comfortable for the time being. I know you; you won’t wake him up, so sleep.” He ruffled Dante’s curls as he walked by.
Jack smiled. “I’ll cook breakfast in the morning; don’t get to do that often enough. I’m sure you have everything I’ll need in the kitchen.”
Dante chuckled quietly. “You know he shops for an army, plenty of food in the house. Cook whatever you feel like, if you don’t feel like it in the morning, I will. So no worries either way.”
“Night son.” He looked fondly at the two men snuggled on the couch. “See you two in the morning. Maybe we can hogtie him to a chair to keep him down”
“Won’t be needed, you’re here and he gets it now.” Dante smiled. “He wouldn’t want to upset his grandfather or dad.”
Jack smiled all the way to his room.

Deltarune spoilers: Before playing I saw your "kris/frisk/chara are not you" tags and I was fully like "yeah this tracks" but after finishing the game I just. Am wondering if it's THREE people, us kris, and another, or if it our actions ARE what kris 'wants' to do and the heart ripping out is the external force?? I know it could be the other way around but I just. Was hoping that Kris probably isn't into slashing their mom's tires?
i think given some important character-defining text in chapter two, we can safely say the Player’s choices are NOT kris’s. for example, as early as chapter 1, if you try to make kris throw away what the Player perceives as “a ball of junk”, kris is very reluctant and retrieves it, and grows more upset if you keep forcing them until they give up and go quiet. in the beginning of chapter two, the Player can steal money from Asriel’s dresser and kris DOES NOT want to do that and expresses guilt.
there are many points where other characters point out the discrepancy in what the Player has kris say versus how kris says it. for example, if you choose “join” during an early berdly encounter after he says kris will wash toilets, berdly comments on how reluctant kris says it. if you choose “perish” during one of the dialogues with the Queen, she is taken aback by how enthusiastically kris says they want to perish.
everything with the spamton encounters reveals a lot too. kris does NOT want to interact with spamton and does NOT want to expose susie and ralsei to him either. kris is, to their party members, visibly shaken up and distressed by spamton. when you unlock his shop, kris goes in alone, and the RUN AWAY option takes up 80% of the menu screen cuz they are terrified.
when you do the secret boss encounter and win and leave the area, kris is having a panic attack which susie and ralsei can see (mentions they’re covered in goosebumps). they ask if kris is okay. the Player can choose “yes” or “no”. choosing yes results in susie remarking that she doesn’t believe kris when they say it so strained. if you choose no, kris screams it.
if you mess with noelle with some of the puzzles, particularly the one with a lazer fence, she eventually messes with kris back. but then immediately expresses confusion and concern because kris looks hurt. kris does not want to bully her at all.
there’s also the various details in the multiple customized rooms kris gets that reveal more and more about who they are as an individual. signs point towards the choices you make while playing are not kris, but the way kris performs those actions speaks multitudes to their character.
also, there is likely a third party influencing kris/may be the reason kris is so troubled, because the game does hint that kris has had issues with this behavior for a while and the way they act out seems to point towards them having learned methods to regain control from possibly years of having this issue. the cage is battered, the floor stained, toriel is used to kris vanishing for a while without saying anything…
summary: the stuff you pick is the stuff YOU pick, not kris. kris does their best to work around or against the Player’s influence. usually in the form of omission or changing the tone in how they reply.

Spamton and the Prevailing Issue of Presence
It’s no secret to anyone who’s spent any time with Deltarune Chapter 2 that Spamton has some serious underlying issues. More than any character in the game, Spamton has apparent struggles in his life that seem almost impossible to fix with how abundant they are, how he’s in a deep, heavy spiral through no fault of his own.
But one thing not many people will read into is Spamton’s struggle with identity.
More specifically his struggle with his own presence.
Now I’m not saying this in a sense that Spamton feels like his own spot in the world is undeserved though that certainly is the case - what I’m centering this around is Spamton’s internal conflict of being “big” and being “small”.
Spamton is, in a literal sense, small. In his regular form Spamton is shorter than Kris, he’s shorter than all the Addisons, he occupies a space that is undeniably “small”. But applying this to a more general sweeping statement, Spamton, his whole entire life, has been small. He’s been pitied and looked down upon by the other Addisons presumably when he was still hanging out with them even, people treat him as if he’s “lesser”. He’s always been “lower in the food chain” than his peers, having a particular string of bad luck. He didn’t initially accept those mysterious phone calls out of a urge to grow his brand but out of sheer desperation. He did it because he was at a breaking point and had no other choice. And even then he was made to be a backseat passenger in his own life, being doomed to be a puppet once whatever was giving him success decided they’d had enough of him.
But despite everything working against him, more than anything, Spamton wants to be big. He wants to be something, be someone. To prove to the world that in spite of how fate has treated him that he can still rise to the top.
When Spamton talks about “being a big shot”, he’s not talking about achieving success in a monetary way.
He’s talking about making a direct impact on the world.
Spamton knows he won’t ever get to be a “big shot” like he was before, for his own smallness has been the cause of that. Because he wasn’t used to achieving the success he did back in 97, he wasn’t strong enough to take a step back and realize that something could be amiss here, he was too busy caught up in the fame to care. This fleeting feeling that he’d made it big led him to cutting off his would-be friends, and surrounding himself with people and consumers who didn’t really care about him personally but saw his success and fed into his spiral in lieu of it.
He knows his chances of getting successful in that revenue is gone, so he chose to go another route: surpassing everyone that failed him. Not just in success, but in presence.
He prayed every night to his perfect body in a basement, a big, hulking metal thing covered in wires and tubes, something that was not of his world, something made for a body more real than any fake realness he could aim for. Spamton saw something there, a glimpse into that great beyond, and it drove him. He wanted to be there, to be among greater people, people who weren’t the ones who had discarded him like an old playing. To be free. To have a new life. To have a clean slate. And he prayed, and he prayed. And one day, his prayers came true - but not without fate catching up to him.
Even when he’s the most physically big he’s ever been Spamton’s own smallness holds him back. The strings keep him at bay. He walks through the air like he so wanted to do but it’s not the air he wants - it’s old air, dark, dreary, and set against a backdrop of a city skyline filled with the remnants of his own old self. He walks through heaven but it’s not full of clouds or pearly gates, it’s made of bricks. The whole thing is a sham. A false sky for a fake angel.
In this supposed perfect body, Spamton struggles to even move on his own accord. He’s twitching uncontrollably, his head is moving and snapping around at random intervals…the shell Spamton found himself in is actively not one made for him. It’s made for something else to manipulate how small he is, and to show him to be careful what he wishes for.
But in all this undeniable hopelessness, even when his final grandest wish has been exploited like he himself has time and time again, he still wants to make a change to the world.
He still wants to do a great amount of good.
Before Spamton hits the ground, he says that from now on, he’ll live for himself. Himself and his friends.
He wants to take the “privilege” he sees himself as having - that being that there is something beyond this, something even greater than a luxury room in a tyrannical monarch’s condo building, something even greater than being a bit shot - and share it with other people. He wants to let them know that there’s more to life. He no longer wants to make an impact to spite his naysayers, but to benefit those he misunderstood, or perhaps give a second chance to those who likely didn’t understand the full picture. He wants to make a good impact on their lives.
But that’s not something he’s allowed to do.
He’s literally cut short before he can do any of the things he said he wanted to do. And just like that, he’s back to being small again, as brief as his stint with being anything but was.
Then, Spamton offers you something. It’s his last resort at making a change, and he knows it’ll seal his fate, if it wasn’t already.
Spamton offers to become your strength.
Spamton, even though he struggles to accept it, will always be small. But he can never go back to being the same small he was before, he can’t go back to being small like he was when his wares were struggling to sell and when he’d run his mouth at nights set against the backdrop of a grill. Even though he cannot be helped, he knows that the power he’s been bestowed upon will help you more than it has “helped” him.
Perhaps he couldn’t be anything but a simple puppet after all.
But that doesn’t mean he’ll stop trying to make a bigger impact.

Deltarune: Whose Choices Matter? (major spoilers for all routes)
I'm so extremely sure others have discussed this to death already, but I'm obsessed with the themes of "choice" in Deltarune. What's really stuck in my head are these three things:
1. At the start, you, the player, are told no one can choose who they are in this world and that your choices don't matter. The character you make gets thrown away.
2. Pretty much the second you're in the dark world, Ralsei starts telling Kris that their "choices are important too."
3. Toby has said many times that there is "only one ending" and, in one interview, that there's "something more important than reaching the end."
Lots of people have said that Toby was lying since there obviously are differences in both chapters depending on the choices you make. But I don't think that's true. Toby's the type to use clever wording to tell half-truths, but not straight up lie.
It's technically true that there's just one ending. No matter what the player does, the king still ends up in jail. Queen still stops her plan and joins you. Kris still opens up another dark foundation.
The changes in each playthrough are only indirectly the result of the player's actions. They are instead direct results of how the characters treat Kris and each other because of how you acted. Your actions don't matter and can't effect how the story plays out in and of themselves. But because all the key moments - the pillars, Ralsei revealing the story of the Roaring, etc - hinge on the characters' actions, their choices are the ones that matter and the ending is always more or less the same. This theme of choice and the effect of your actions on others is central to pretty much every "changeable" part of the story.
Let me provide some examples.
1. Minor Details
If you toss away the manual Ralsei gives you in chapter 1, he'll put a trashcan in Kris' room instead of a stand for the manual.
This is a really small, pretty insignificant detail. It doesn't affect the story. I personally never touched the manual again even though I kept it. If you toss it, Ralsei still gives Kris/the player tips on how to play. But Toby still programmed it in. He programmed Ralsei to notice you threw away something he worked on, and to treat you differently as a result. Maybe just as a joke, sure. But there's many other instances of characters remembering your actions and treating you accordingly.
Another example: If you step off one of the first electric wall switches before Noelle is done crossing to the other side to stand on the other button, she scolds you and then pulls the same prank on you. Kris looks hurt in response - because they're getting punished for something you did. It's a lot harder to brush this one off as just a joke when it ends with someone feeling hurt.
2. Kris' Dialogue
The player chooses a lot of dialogue for Kris. But sometimes Kris speaks on their own or chooses how they say what they're told by the player to say.
After the Spamton NEO fight, if you choose to tell Susie you're okay, Susie will think about how Kris is speaking hoarsely, and so she thinks Kris probably isn't okay. If you choose to say you're not okay, Ralsei says Kris is yelling. No matter what option you choose, Kris chooses to do their best to communicate that they are definitely not okay. It's Kris' choice here that matters and effects how the characters react, not yours.
3. Recruiting
Chapter 2 hammers in the idea that sparing enemies is important by introducing the recruiting mechanic. But recruiting doesn't seem to actually do much yet, aside from giving you some extra dialogue and dojo challenges.
At one point, there's some tutorial text from Ralsei that mentions how from now on, fighting an enemy instead of sparing it will make it unable to be recruited. Then it specifically mentions that there might be times where breaking bonds will make you stronger. There was something like this in chapter 1, too, where Ralsei seems to realize after fighting the king that the party can't always spare everyone.
This is in pretty stark contrast to Undertale, where the fight/spare mechanic basically meant choosing between life and death for any character. The character you're fighting doesn't get any say in the matter in Undertale. In Deltarune, you (or, more accurately, Kris) don't have the power to kill someone. You can only beat them up badly enough that they choose not to join you. At some point in the later chapters, making someone not want to join you might be a better decision.
4. Berdly
If you just focus on the Queen, Berdly tries to remove it himself, damaging his arm in the process. When he wakes up in the light world later, he still can't move his arm.
In the first battle with Queen, Berdly is attached to one of her plugs. You can loosen it to free him, like you did with the Werepires.
You didn't hurt Berdly. But if you choose to ignore him to focus on finishing the fight instead, his own actions in response cause him to be hurt anyway.
5. Snowgrave
Kris doesn't seem to have the ability to kill. Neither does Susie or Ralsei.
But Noelle does.
It's important to note that the player doesn't have complete control over anyone in the party except Kris. At the start of chapter 1, Susie makes her own choices in battle. Even in chapter 2, you can't take equipment off her unless you're swapping in something else (she tells you "Hands off!" if you try). The characters can just straight up refuse to follow your/Kris' orders if they want.
If you command Noelle to brute force puzzles, to "get" the ring, to ice all the Darkners, she gets used to hurting others to feel stronger. Then she can use Snowgrave - the only action that specifies it is lethal - in the fight with Berdly. When you tell Noelle to use Snowgrave, she refuses several times. She even tells you that she "doesn't know a spell called Snowgrave" to get you to stop. If you keep badgering her, she finally snaps, and chooses to cast it.
The wildest part about the Snowgrave route, in my opinion, is that there doesn't even seem to be any reward for doing it. In Undertale, the whole appeal of the No Mercy route was the epic boss fights that couldn't be played on any other route. The reward was the challenge. In Snowgrave, you skip almost half of the story and multiple boss fights. And for what? A slightly harder version of a boss you can also fight on any other run?
You can manipulate Noelle into making a terrible choice and presumably killing Berdly, seemingly just for the hell of it. After you return to the light world, the only things that change in the story are that Berdly doesn't wake up and Noelle is scared out of her mind if she sees you wearing her watch. Susie still walks you home. Toriel still asks Susie to stay over. Kris still slashes the tires on Toriel's car and opens a new foundation. Nothing major changes.
All Snowgrave seems to do is get you to the same ending faster.
Deltarune is about choices, sure. But more accurately, it's about how your choices affect the people around you, and how that informs their choices, and so on.
So, what's more important than reaching the end? It's how you - and the characters - chose to get there. It's about the journey, not the destination.
