Cont'd from part 1
Eventually, Din and Ahsoka decide to team up to take down Morgan Elsbeth, Din gives his assessment of Morgan's people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then Din called her lightsabers 'laser swords' and how that amount of people would be a problem for Ahsoka.
Tumblr media
I love Ahsoka's smile -- because she just realized that Din wasn't really told about what Jedi could do -- and for Ahsoka specifically, she was trained in these kinds of engagements.
Where she's surrounded and the odds are severely against her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not the best time of her life but there's enough of that old cockiness in her that she also kind of takes pride in that even though it's fucked up.
And then Din says this:
Tumblr media
"A Mandalorian and a Jedi? They'll never see it coming."
Ahsoka just looks at Din, bemused.
Tumblr media
Because second to Obi-Wan, Ahsoka has the most connection to Mandalorians and the most alliances.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is also a large reason why Ahsoka gives the Beskar staff to Din, because she knows, more than anyone the importance of preserving culture.
Tumblr media
I wonder if Ahsoka told Sabine about Din. I wonder if she has any thoughts about the Children of the Watch. She wasn't part of that generation, she was part of the generation where they were sent to the Imperial Academy to serve the Empire.
Before Sabine realized what was up and left to (eventually) join the Rebellion.
Sabine's very aware of her family's history as someone distantly related to Pre Vizsla.

Din Djarin x reader valentine's?
What you think just because I'm an absolute slut for Din Djarin that I'll cave and write headcanons for Valentine's? Because you'd be—
Din strikes me as the sort who would either forget entirely or you'd assume he'd forget and then surprises you by gifting you something small but thoughtful. I lean towards the latter.
In a perfect world where he could truly spoil you, I like to think he'd leave notes and such scattered here and there for you to find that have compliments and pet-names to you in Mando'a. Mesh'la (beautiful) Mirdala (clever) Cyar'ika (beloved)
His creed demands he keep his word, so if he promised to spend time with you, he would do everything in his power to get to you, to spend that time he vowed.
In his N1 he can travel quickly, but it's really not meant for multiple passengers. It's amazing he has space for Grogu. However, if we are setting this back before his Razor Crest was blown up, I feel he's the sort who would take you somewhere calm and beautiful to enjoy the day together. You both deserve a break in the hecticness of your lives, and he'd recognize that.
He puts in the effort to be a bit more attentive, to help show you how much you mean to him as sometimes words fail him.
Just some thoughts! 💚

I keep talking to Grogu like he’s my child and he’s not on a TV screen. I love this show so much. Can Pedro do a series of audio books? I’d just listen to his Din Djarin voice or voice in general for a bit. Also is season 2 intense or is it just me?
EDIT: He has audiobooks. I need to find a place to listen to them that won't charge me an arm and a leg. : D Ghost Radio is 7 hrs and 55 minutes. But the rating on it isn't all that good. But I’d still give it a listen and probably read along. Thanks @ghostlyoaks for pointing out he has audiobooks and to google them, I don't know why I didn't think to do that before.

the problem with s3 of the mandalorian is I don't care about the weird cult and whomever wrote the dialogue should face criminal charges

Rewatching Ahsoka's episode on The Mandalorian is so interesting with context -- even there you can sense Ahsoka's reticence teaching anyone else, especially a child.
Tumblr media
Din tells Ahsoka that he was there to bring Grogu to a Jedi.
Tumblr media
Ahsoka's demeanor changes from welcoming to stand-offish.
It reminds me of this moment in the first episode of Ahsoka.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She's been reluctant to both identify as Jedi and take in students but Din brings in the big guns and tells Ahsoka that Grogu needs help. And that just stops Ahsoka cold -- she's already taken a student and it didn't go well.
Din, and we, didn't know the whole story of Ahsoka's reluctance to teach before, but also I love that asking for help makes Ahsoka pause.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anakin's "You lack conviction." Feels even more pointed after watching this episode -- because Ahsoka is so far from convinced about teaching Grogu.
And later when she realizes that Grogu's already bonded with Din, she's not going to take a child from their parent. 1) she doesn't trust herself to teach after the debacle with Sabine. 2) Ahsoka isn't prepared to be a parent. 3) The life she's living, she's not comfortable bringing a child with her, even if Grogu has powers.
And of course, the fourth looming presence in her life -- the fear of anyone turning into Anakin.
But she's not committing to saying 'no' to Grogu. She knows in her heart of hearts she wasn't going to take Grogu on as her Padawan.
Also, I have to say with the previously, Bo-Katan had a smile when she was talking about Ahsoka, and she knew exactly where Ahsoka was going to be. So -- whatever happened during the Great Purge of Mandalore, Bo-Katan wasn't angry with her.
I hope it's not the 'no attachments' thing because that's not Ahsoka, as I've mentioned before, Ahsoka's always had an affinity for Mandalorians. (She's been both savior and death to Mandalorians).
I hope it's something different that prevented her and Sabine from helping out.

not to pretend to be an expert on the mandalorian as i'm still only on my first watch, and not to put a lot of weight on it that maybe i'm the only one seeing, but i'm on 2x7: The Believer, and it's such an emotional moment to me that din takes off the helmet because scanning his face is the only way to save grogu. he has not been face to face with another living thing since he was a child, and the whole series so many have tried to coerce him into taking off his helmet. it's a damn game for everyone in the galaxy to see a mandalorian's face. but din has been standing strong, and it's about autonomy and no one but you having the right to decide who gets access to you, and you alone getting to decide what parts of you that you are comfortable in sharing with who - both physically and emotionally. to din the helmet is just as much psychological armor as it is physical and literal armor. he hated every second of not wearing that helmet. he was insecure and twitchy. he was scared and felt naked in front of his enemies. he was vulnerable and in pain. but he did that to save the one he loves 😭 😭 😭

Rex: So General Kenobi, how come you speak mando'a?
Obi-Wan: I've always been interested in the culture and I spent a year on Mandalore for a mission in my youth :)
Rex: I see, what about you, General Skywalker?
Anakin: Huh? Oh Obi-Wan used to drop me off in mando daycare when he went to get laid in little Keldabe, fun times, they taught me how to headbutt someone.
