So there are a few Korean manhwa that I have been reading recently. Some are new manhwa which I just picked up to read while the others are old ones that I read before and now I'm re-reading them again. All of them are of modern-setting with the premise of high school or college romance. 🥰🥰🥰

Now I wanna talk about some of the Manhwa series that I recently read in the last couple of days...

Our Secret Alliance

Manhwa Status: Completed Troupe: Childhood best friends turned lovers. THE NO. 1 BEST FUCKING "CHILDHOOD FRIENDS TURNED LOVERS" TROUPE MANHWA OUT THERE💘!! PERIOD😤!!!

No, seriously. I really enjoyed reading this series, and OMG !!! Female lead Se-i Yun and male lead Jaeha Kim are so fucking adorable!!! Se-i is a cutie, for sure, and seeing Jaeha as a boyfriend in this story raised my "boyfriend" expectations to an unrealistic height...

Also warning: you'll encounter a soft, bashful male lead here... so beware!!!

Seasons Of Blossom

Manhwa Status: Completed This story has four different parts: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. And damn, the stories are so good, y'all!!

(This is gonna be a LONG rant here btw...)

I really loved the 1st part of the series "Bomi's Flower" which is the season of Spring. The sweet female lead (Bomi Yun), one of the most popular and studious girls in school, has a little crush on the 2nd male lead (Jaemin Lee), another popular kid in school, but later finds out that her best friend/2nd female lead (Seonhui Kang) also has a crush on Jaemin. But the thing is everyone in their school ships Bomi and Jaemin together as a romantic couple. Seonhui also shows her genuine support to Bomi as a good friend if she ever tries to get together with Jaemin, but Bomi knows that deep down inside her heart Seonhui is hurting by the fact that Jaemin likes Bomi and everyone ships them, meaning her love towards Jaemin is unrequited. So to save her friendship with Seonhui and also to save Seonhui from a potential heartbreak, Bomi gets into a fake relationship with the male lead (Jinyeong Choi), so that Seonhui and Jaemin get the chance to be together... But the thing is Jinyeong is the complete opposite of Bomi. Unlike Bomi, Jinyeong is blunt, ruthless with his words, always has a straight bored look on his face, and has an "I don't give a fuck" kinda attitude. He doesn't fuck around and hates those typical high school dramas and bullshit. Even though he's a gaming otaku and only has two male friends, he's quite famous among the students; guys want to be friends with him because of his game recommendations and girls think he's really cute. Also despite the fact that he's shorter than Bomi in height, my man has balls for sure when it comes to speaking up about his mind or taking action for anything.

This story talks about how opposites attract one another, how to discover and learn new yet unexpected things, how to fall in love for the first time in life and that sweet feeling like falling in love in your youth, and how to break out of your own shell and discover a new side of yourself. This 1st part of the series will give you nothing but fluff, sweetness, and butterflies.

And then later comes the 2nd part of the series, the season of Summer aka Hamin's Flower...

Okay, this one was really tough to get through. Not because the story sucked or anything. It's because of how painful, angsty, and heartbreaking it is. In the 1st part (Bomi's Flower aka Spring), we get to know that the 2nd male lead Jaemin Lee had an older brother named Hamin Lee (the golden child of the family) who died 6 years ago by committing suicide. We don't get much info about Hamin Lee in the 1st part (other than the fact that he's Jaemin's brother) until it comes to an end and the 2nd part begins. The 2nd part opens up with Jaemin Lee and the gang bumps into a 24-year-old art college student named Somang Han who happens to be Hamin's girlfriend from high school. Through Somang's narration and flashbacks, we get to know what kind of person Hamin Lee was, how she and Hamin met and fell in love, and how he spiraled into depression which resulted in him ending his own life. And also through Jaemin, we get to know more about Hamin as a son and a brother and how their parents' rough parenting pushed him to darkness and depression. At first, when Hamin was first mentioned in the 1st part, I didn't think much about him and only felt empathy for Jaemin for losing his older brother. But after getting introduced to Hamin in the 2nd part and learning more about him through Somang and Jaemin's POV and narrations, I couldn't help but bawl my eyes out for him in every single chapter. It got even worse for me since I already knew where the story was going and what was going to happen to Hamin in the end (it was more like the Shinichiro Sano effect from Tokyo Revengers like you know who Shinichiro is and what happened to him but that doesn't stop you from falling in love with him despite him being dead throughout the whole series). RIP Hamin Lee; my heart will always go out to you, forever, always.

The 2nd part Hamin's Flower aka Summer talks about some heavy topics/subjects like - dysfunctional families, rough parenting going wrong, dealing with societal burdens and depression, losing your loved ones and dealing with the aftermath, your first tragic love story, handling regrets and dealing with your traumas, how to overcome those traumas, and finally how to let go of your past and move on with life.

Hamin's Flower left me in such a numb and gloomy state that I couldn't read the other two parts (Autumn and Winter), but I'll try to get back and read them sooner or later. Even though I haven't read the complete series yet, I'll still give out a biased statement - I really, really loved Bomi's Flower and Hamin's Flower, and these two parts will always gonna be my favs from this series (doesn't matter to me if Autumn and Winter are better than these two).

Cheese In The Trap

Manhwa Status: Completed The oldest series in this list...

This story... this story... Oh God, where should I begin?!?! I can't believe that I didn't read this until now!! This is a truly mature love story. If you read this wanting a simple light college romance, this is not for you. While there are very cute interactions between the main character and her love interests, it is a very well-thought-out and complex manga - definitely the most realistic I have read thus far. The character development is out of this world and adds a sense of tangibility to the characters that you really don't see in fiction normally. To explain, the important main and side characters in any story are always bound by rules of development to identify them as cogs in a narrative; we have underlying expectations about what the characters might do, or how they might subvert those expectations. But, this webtoon is the study of social relationships and the nature of people. You get to see that there will always be some sort of social hierarchy, that there are meanings and repercussions beyond what you expect to happen in life, and that we all have some degree of victim and perpetrator in us. We all cope and process in different ways, while also continuing and evolving in life the way we know how. Unlike anything I have ever read before.

Also, this story is under the tag of "Psychological Drama" and it's all because of the male lead named Jung Yu. God, I've such a love-hate relationship with him, y'all!! Like I love him but also hate him at the same time. He's mysterious, charming, alluring yet so damn confusing. Also, the fact that he's a sociopath with a bit of a Yandere-ish tendency in him and that he's also obsessed with the female lead (Seol Hong) in a very twisted way??? He's a walking red flag for sure, but then again not... In short, Jung Yu is a complex character and my simple brain just can't comprehend him. I also love the female lead (Seol Hong), the 2nd male lead (Inho Baek), and Seol's two best friends (Bora Jang and Euntaek Kwon). The only important side character I despise is Inho's twin sister Inha Baek (don't ask why; just go and read it for yourself and you'll know why... also I hate those bully characters too btw, just so you know...).

I Don't Hate Us

Manhwa Status: Completed Troupe: Childhood best friends turned lovers.

Another series with "childhood best friends turned lovers" troupe done right!!

The female lead (Wonsu Ha) and the male lead (Jaesu Sang) have been childhood best friends since their middle school days. They had been best friends through high school and college until one day Wonsu got herself a boyfriend. Jaesu has romantic feelings for Wonsu, but she only sees him as a friend and has platonic love for him. Wonsu then breaks up with her boyfriend, not because the guy is a cheater but because they aren't that compatible with each other, so they mutually break up and separate. Wonsu also gets separated from Jaesu because his romantic feelings for her were getting in the way of their friendship at the time, and also her relationship with her ex-boyfriend took a toll on her mentally and emotionally, so she cut off all her connection and simply focused on her studies and graduating from university. Years later, now working in a small yet growing company, Wonsu reconnects with an adult and more mature Jaesu, who now works in a multinational corporation, and that's when sparks and butterflies start to fly left, right, and center. Almost all the characters are likable, the story and the plot are realistic, and overall it was an enjoyable read for me truly.

Also warning: you'll encounter a soft, bashful male lead here... so beware!!! I mean, the fact that despite the bad boy looks and everything, he's so cute like a puppy is fucking adorable, yo!!!

My First Love Hate

Manhwa Status: On-going Troupe: Childhood best friends turned lovers

This one came out this year and so far I'm really enjoying it. Just like the previously mentioned series above, the female lead (Eunha Kang) is relatable, funny, smart, studious, strong-willed, and whatnot. The male lead (Seungmin Ha) is Eunha's childhood best friend since elementary school but they stopped hanging out with one another ever since he became a delinquent back in high school despite the fact that they went to the same school and were in the same classroom. Years later, Eunha got into a prestigious university in Seoul and later learned that Seungmin was also at that university!! Not only that, he also stopped being a delinquent for good and suddenly started dressing up like a nerdy college boy. When Eunha asked what he was trying to do, Seungmin simply replied that he was returning back to his old self again and wanted to reconnect with Eunha... But things got a bit spicy all of a sudden when a tattoo-bodied 2nd male lead named Ryu Seonhoo walked into the scene and Eunha had to tutor him for the GED test on a regular basis...

Also warning: you'll encounter a soft, bashful, puppy-like male lead AND 2nd male lead here... so beware!!!

Just Twilight

Mahwa Status: Ongoing Troupe: Strangers to friends to lovers

I won't say anything about it... JUST FUCKING READ THIS SHIT ALREADY!!!

If you're a fan of another famous manhwa series called "Positively Yours", then you'll also love this series since it's written by the same author. The female lead (Junyoung Yun) is literally my spirit animal and the male lead (Beomjin Kwon) is such a husbando material, y'all... like, just look at him!!!

Hello ^^

Oh my god this time it's really been a very long time since I last wrote 😭. Yesterday I finished the last thing I had left to do from my degree. Now I'm officially graduated!! I'm so happy ><

Also this is post #50 and it's been a whole year since I started this tumblr. So I thought I should make something special. After thinking a bit I thought that I could do a 10 favourite manhwa list. I hope you enjoy it ☺️

First I would like to say that I've had a rough semester so I couldn't read many manhwas. Also, the website I used to read them had some problems and it doesn't update like it used to, so many manhwas that I would have read I couldn't read them.

Most of these manhwas are webtoon, let's start with the overview of the list:

And now we'll do a quick review of every manhwa:

1.After school for unrippen apples

It's been several months since I started this manhwa and it has never disappointed me. There is comedy, romance and friendship. The story is set in the 80s and the emotions descripted by all the characters are sublime. If you haven't read it yet, trust me when I say it's wonderful ☺️

2.Act like you love me!

Okay now I bring you a great romcom ! We have a handsome and cute actor and a hardworking woman. Guess what? He falls for her first !! I love that 🥰 It's a very funny manhwa and the story only gets better and better with each chapter.

3.The spark in your eyes

Surprisingly I didn't post about this historical manhwa. The male lead is pharmacist who looks very big but actually has a very good heart. The female lead is the sun witch and as the name sounds she is very powerful. The plot is very interesting and it shows us the point of view and backstory of each character. I really recommend it !

4.Romance 101

It's such a cute and wholesome manhwa ! There are already more than a 100 chapters and yes it is so much worth it ! The romance builds up slowly but it doesn't get boring at all. The main character is very relatable which makes you loving her a lot. Without realizing you get to see the development of all the characters.

5.'Til debt do us part

When I read the manhwa it hadn't been officially translated yet to webtoon. It's a typical "from enemies to lovers". It's not really enemies, it's just that the characters didn't like each other much at first but when they get to really know each other they start catching feelings. I honestly enjoyed reading it a lot ><

6.A stepmother's märchen

This historical manhwa is so beautiful ! The main character is smart and strong. Even if she is young she is able to take care of all the children and give them all the love that they deserve. I can't wait to see how the story will develop. I root for her happiness and love ☺️

7.Cavier falcon princess

This historical manhwa is different but very nice. Lately there hasn't been many updates but the current chapters are great. It focuses more on the war but there is still romance. And I'm sure the romance will be worth the wait !

The next ones that I bring you are newer ones so I'm not sure if I'll keep liking them but for now I'm loving them :)

8.Maybe meant to be

I'm not sure what it is, if the plot, the characters or the art but it I've really taken a liking to it. The female lead is a tomboy but relatable woman. The male lead is a geek but sweet man. And they marry on the first episodes ! It awaits us so much fun 😂. At first I thought that they didn't look very good together but after they start getting to know each other you realize they make a great couple. So give it shot.

9.A whirlwind campus affair

This webtoon has a drama set but oh there is a lot of comedy too. The main character seems weird at first but you realize that she is a strong and nice girl. The art is very beautiful and the characters have secrets that with time they will help solve the mystery that surrounds the story.

10.Twilight poem

This pretty new historical manhwa is absolutely stunning ! The female lead is pitiful and the male lead for now is a jerk. But I'm sure he will end up being a good man. There is also supernatural stuff which makes it pretty cool. I can't wait to see more of this story and to finally see the female lead happy.

These are all the manhwa that I currently love.

Now that I have more free time I'll try to post a bit more.

I literally just started reading midnight sun (and by literally I mean, I'm on page 10) and I wondered why the fuck the cullens go to school. like. Edward describes it as literal hell.

and I wondered. homeschooling is a very normal occuring thing in the states (as far as I know, I'm not from the states).

why wouldn't the cullens just pretend to be homeschooled and then they'd have the whole day to themselves? it doesn't make sense lol

For the love of Din

Summery: The Chain are caught in a wave of different enemies as they battle. However one member of their group has been holding out on them. Hm. Who could it be?

Authors notes: I wrote this up quickly, so do apologies for any mistakes I make. I got inspired while watching a film, where there was a line that goes "They got a gave troll." and this this magical piece came to be. I literally just free wrote this, not knowing where the end would be. So I do hope you enjoy it. I don't do well with writing battle scenes as well. Any who, there you have it.

It felt like a never ending wave of enemies. Warriors and Twilight back to back, as they swung and slashed any enemies approaching them. Working as a team, as well as making sure to back up other members of their group. So far everyone seems to be holding their own and keeping to a buddy system. If one gets knocked about someone is there to protect them. However the enemies were all variety of beasts.

Fighting was starting to wear them down and the ever stoic Veteran was getting irritated. Starting to grumble at the smallest things, like a ice wizzrobe taunting them. Every time he tried to hit it with his arrows, it vanished and reappear. Dancing and laughing at him. “You annoying -“ he stopped himself before saying anything beyond appropriate in front of sailor. It’s waving it’s ice rod before aiming it at another team member. A blast of ice shooting out.

“Watch out!” The veteran hollered towards Hyrule.

Hyrule dodges it in perfect time as a flame arrow shot through, hitting the wizzrobe. It let out a scream as it dissipated. “Way to go Champion!” Cheered the Sailor. The Lizalfos and bokoblins were equally annoying. The lizalfos would dance back and forth, before whipping their tail. Which Four and Wind were taking on. While a bokoblin took to throwing rocks.

“What in Hyrule- rocks?! Really? Are they that primitive?!” Screamed Four.

“At least our blins know to use actual weapons.” Wind stated.

No sooner that he said that a lizalfo knocked him into four. Sky seeing this made quick work with using a skyward strike. Taking out several of the enemies around Four and Wind.

“I still can’t get over the fact he can do that.” Four said to Wind as they both got back up and moved forward to fighting off more bokoblins.

Everything seem to be numbing down, the monsters dwindling and the Heros winning. When suddenly the ground begin to shake. The other smaller enemies seem to pause like the Heros did. The air was still. Then came a loud roar. The other enemies seem to flee. The Heros whipping around at the sight of them leaving.

Then out of the woods, pounding the ground came several Moblins and -

“They have a HINOX!” Came Wild's annoyed tone.

“A He what?” Questioned the Veteran.

“Big, Ugly, one eyes Troll. All the fighting must of woke it, unless these moblins disturbed it.” Explain wild, as the big lugging beats came trampling in. The ground shaking with each step.

“Well you’re not wrong about ugly, how we suppose to take this moron down?” Groaned the Captain.

“Smithy, Sailor. Take its legs out. The rest of you do what you can. I will go for it’s eye. Keep him distracted.” Wild started shouting out orders.

“Aye aye!” They hollered back at the champion.

“Well there’s something, he barking orders” Smirked Twilight.

“I wouldn’t expect less if he had been a knight.” Smiled the Captain as they rushed forwards to help the group.

Four slid under the blabbering monster, called by Wind. Both whipping around enough to make direct contact to the back of its legs. Cause it to tumble forward enough for the others to make their moves. Wild had taken to climbing a tree and knocking his arrows up, ready to shoot. Then with a leap in the air he rained arrows down on the beast. It let out a howl as it attempted to get back up. Only to his it’s arms being restrained by Rancher who used his claw shot. Keeping it down so the others could make their hits.

Time whipped out his biggoron blade and making a upper slash to the hinox’s arm. Cutting it deep. Another howl coming from its mouth. This enemy sure wasn’t an easy one to take down and if infected like many of the other enemies they have encounter, it made triple the work to end it. The monster’s head lifted when it howl at each attack it received. Enough for Wild to knock another arrow and shoot it in the eye. This ending what felt like forever battle with one large beast.

Twilight released the claw shot from keeping it down, but their fight was not over yet. They had several large Moblins to deal with. The chain was growing weary. Captain and Time could see it. As the group split into threes to take on the two Moblins. Then a swarm is Kees came out of no where. Kees out of hell anyone?

“Oh for the love of-“ Legend screamed, but stop when sky shot him a look. “Of apple pie. Why!”

“Stop griping and lop lop lop…” the Captain yelled. As he was making a swift movement with his blade at the moblin which was now attempting to use the chain like a kick ball.

“Oi, married couple, argue later about what’s for dinner.” Twilight barked at the two.

Time slightly chuckled at his pup using a saying he did. “Oi” he knew this fight needed to end. And with each one growing tired and their ability to fight was limiting. Too many Kees and two giant Moblins. He know what he must have to do.

“Stand near me gang, I will make work of this.” His hand slipped into a pouch. Then holding it closely in his fist, dins fire. The chain didn’t question, the all moved closer to the old man as he raised his hand up in the air then swinging it down. A burst of flame wraps around them. Wiping out the rest of the monsters around them. The others just stared blankly at him. Dead Kees falling from the sky like rain.

One single kee was flittering towards them. And without looking Wild use his fry pan, knocking it to the ground where it died. Still staring in shock of what the old man did.

“You gremlin!” Chuckled the Captain. “You been holding out on us. How long have you been able to use that ability?”

“Before you were born.” Jested Time. He pulled out a bottle of green juice and gulped it. Returning his magic level to normal.

“That was so cool!” Screamed wind, in utter excitement.

“Well I think it’s time we go find somewhere to camp. Cause I am wiped.” Legend then broke the awkward moment of the old man legit shot fire out and taking out a who team of monsters.

“Here here!” Chimed several of the chain.

They gathered their stuff and started their way to make camp. Wind excited run to walk along side Time and giving him a barrage of questions. “Hey can you teach me how to do that?”

The old man ruffled the sailors hair and smiled, “no.”

Just wanted to write once again how much Twilight lost the initial potentials of their characters.

One (of maaaany) of the most deplorable of these cases is Jacob.

And this, by the way, is the very reason why I don’t really like the introduction of Reneesme, aka the daughter of Edward and Bella, into the plot.

To be clear, I absolutely don't mind them having children, even half vampire/human (although the nature of this phenomenon described by Smeyer still strikes me as odd, but oh well🤷‍♀️).

It's just too bad she couldn't bring her into the story without degrading the relationship between Bella and Jacob.

To be honest, when I first watched the films and entered this universe and watched Bella's life, I was a crazy fan of Jacob. I always liked him more than Edward for a rather simple reason (which Smeyer soon destroyed):

No, it's not abs and tanned skin and loca, no.

It's about how their relationship was able to withstand even the most fantastic tests of paranormal nature and time.

Let me explain.

In the first movie, when Edward tries to read Bella's mind and fails, it obviously gets him interested. This, of course, is not yet falling in love, but still the BEGINNING of their relationship is formed on Edward's paranormal abilities.

Then, when Edward thinks Bella is dead and visits the Volturi, Aro informs them that Bella is his "singer". That is, again, Edward's attachment to Bella and the opposite, is formed (not completely), but still on the paranormal phenomena of the vampire world.

Well, later it turns out that they are "mates". And this, which is described as something much stronger than human love, is again a phenomenon of the vampire world (with werewolves it is something like imprinting).

So what about Jacob?

If ya'll remember, their acquaintance in the first film begins .... with common childhood memories.

“Hi, I'm Jacob. We used to make mud pies when we were little.”

They don't have any otherworldly-fantastic powers to "push" them forward. In fact, their relationship, in my opinion, has always been based on absolute loyalty on the part of Jacob and the test of time.

Jacob saves Bella several times, while also several times seeing her leave with another guy, whom he and his entire family considers their natural enemies.

So many people talk about how hard it is for Edward and Bella in their love (with which I agree), but so rarely talk about Jacob, who is not imprinted on Bella, for whom she is not a "singer". She is just a human, and his feelings for her are exclusively humanly, without paranormal help.

And despite all this, he still tries.

Although his loyalty is due to some extent to his hatred of vampires, he really cares for and loves Bella in his own way.

That's why I liked him so much (until the last movie). It just went against the important message of the books that vampire love > human love.

But then it completely flushed down the toilet.

“Yo Bells, so when your baby by Eddie was born, I suddenly realized what it was THAT THING that attracted me to you so much😵”

And ... everything again came down to the paranormal.

Also, does anyone remember what Jacob did in the last movie?

Well, of course, there was a fight and he was in the body of a wolf most of time and so on, but I couldn't be the only one who noticed how much colder their relationship became in the last film.

Nessie just left Bella's body and now they're sort of "acquaintances". Bella doesn't open up to him like she did in the previous films, and Jake doesn't care too much either. Too busy babysitting.

Twilight really knows how to disappoint sometimes.

The Twilight Bark scene in 101 Dalmatians must have been a formative experience for me because now I can't stop thinking there is an entire Tuner subculture in the Cars verse and among their own norms and values they have an elaborate code involving flashing their neon lights or headlights or any lights they've got to communicate information about incoming cops, upcoming street races, any deaths or disappearances, etc.

And, if/when the DRH crew becomes spies they can put all this information to good use on their missions.

According to the Button House Archives, Robin's biggest regret - after thousands of years - was falling asleep while guarding the tribe and causing a lot of his family to be eaten. Presumably that's the same time he saw his mother and cousin get eaten by wolves.

I imagine that plays a lot into why he hasn't moved on. That's a fuck ton of guilt to carry around. But also, he keeps finding new families (both human and animal) throughout the centuries, and he's incredibly loyal and protective of all of them. If his mouse family are having babies then he'll spend days watching over them. If Kitty is being hassled by plague ghosts he'll jump in to protect her. If Julian is afraid of the dark then he'll huddle with him all night. If Mary doesn't wish to share her traumatic death he'll also keep it private for 300 years. If the house is being burgled he'll use the twilight bark from 101 Dalmations to call for help. If Mike is about to be struck by lightning he'll take that strike, again, to save his friend's husband who can't even see him. If a twelve year old girl from a faraway land is unhappy with her arranged marriage he'll be her guardian angel, even if she can't see him, just so she isn't alone.

And I think that's why, subconsciously, he doesn't really wish to move on. He wants to, sure, he's been trapped for so long and wants to see what's next, but he also feels the need to stay because he knows how it feels to be alone, to lose his mind from boredom and isolation, and doesn't want to risk any of the others being the last like he was. The moon is Robin's constant but Robin is the constant for every ghost who has existed on those grounds. He won't ever fail his "tribe" again.

If Y/n had one regret in her life, it would be not distracting Bella more from her insistent obsession of finding out why Jacob Black was ignoring her... Oh, how she wonders where she could be instead of outside Billy Black's house, pleading with her stubborn classmate, and best friend.

"Bella! We really shouldn't be here..." Y/n muttered, wringing her hands anxiously as the girl in question slammed her car door shut, ignoring every plea she gave. Y/n huffed angrily, hurrying after Bella, rolling her eyes as the girl banged her fists upon the door of Billy Black, well at least she had some human decency.

Billy opened the door, looking from Y/n to Bella, who only asked where Jake was. Billy gave Y/n a curious look as she gave him a nervous shake of her head.

"He's sick, Bella. I think it would be best if you come back another day. I can have him-" Billy began to explain before he was interrupted by a huff leaving Bella's lips as she stormed past Billy and began to investigate for herself.

"I tried to stop her...." Y/n sighed, gazing at her "uncle" in front of her, but before he could respond, her head whipped around as she caught a whiff of the pack.

'Oh no...' She thought, immediately hearing the onslaught of angry thoughts from Bella. The angry Swan stormed past them again, and out of the house, straight to them, while Y/n followed her, hot on her trail.

"Bella! Please let's go home!!" She pleaded, but it was too late. Bella was truly beyond reason.

"What did you do to him?!" She screamed at Sam, making Y/n wince from the loudness of her voice as she warily examined Sam. He was as calm as ever. She glanced at Embry in annoyance as he laughed with two unfamiliar brunettes beside him. And then...

She was looking into the most gorgeous pair of brown eyes she had ever seen. It felt like she was in a trance, and a light spark inside herself was awakened. Is this what her mother meant when witches found their soulmates? As the two stared at each other, his friend on the left chuckled along with Embry, Y/n had no idea what was so funny but all that mattered to her right now was his eyes. She could stare at them forever, getting lost in the pools of chocolate he possessed... But, all good things come to an end for her. Bella continued her onslaught of screaming, breaking their trance.

"He didn't want this!" She yelled, and the guy Y/n was ogling over quickly grew tense.

"What did we do? What did he do, hm? What did he tell you?" He growled making me wince, knowing what might happen.

"Bella, please..." She grabbed onto the Swan's arm, only infuriating her more as she suddenly found herself being pushed down. Y/n yelped as she lost her footing, cutting her hand on a sharp rock on the ground.

" Ow..." She whimpered, cradling the injured limb as blood began to pool. This made pretty boy (a fitting name) even angrier at the sight of her bleeding.

"How dare you touch her-" He growled, his whole body shaking even more. Y/n whimpered, examining the two as more and more red flags came to light of the pretty boy possibly shifting. Then Bella being Bella, interrupted him, not a great choice.

"Jacob tells me nothing because he's scared of you!" She screamed, making them laugh, which set the angry woman off even more. However, no one expected her to slap the pretty boy... Judging by how badly he was shaking, Y/n knew he'd shift.

"Oh shit!" She screamed, not fully knowing if this would end badly or not. She felt safe with the man in front of me, however rage and shifting don't mix, that is shifting 101. It startled Y/n to the point where she transformed into a little mouse. Bella screamed as she backed up from the growling male before she finally took notice of Y/n. Bella gulped, picking up the small (h/c) mouse and running toward the home.

"You know I hate mice N/n!" She growled. Y/n squeaked out at her angrily, however, Bella couldn't understand her. Given the circumstances, normally she would telepathically communicate with Bella, but she couldn't concentrate enough as her heart hammered in her tiny chest.

"Bella!" Jacob yelled coming into view from the house, jumping over the railing of the porch, he ran towards us, and the wolf who now replaced the pretty boy.

"Jake Run!" She screamed, still clutching Y/n to her chest.

He jumped over the two girls, shifting, freaking Bella out to the point she fell. Y/n quickly squirmed out of her grasp, shifting back into her human form. Fixing her frazzled hair, she glared at Bella.

"Look what you did!" Y/n cried, holding her injured hand to her chest as Bella helped her up.

Jacob and the guy we learned was named Paul (from Sam yelling at him) fought, eventually tumbling into the woods.

"Hey, take Bella and Y/n back to Emily's place," Sam muttered. She knew Sam, just not the others, well besides Embry, They grew up together. Y/n, Jacob, Embry, and Quill were iconic foursome when Y/n's family lived on the reserve. Her dad used to help the tribe with his shifting abilities, and he sorta was best friends with Sam and got to witness firsthand that the legends were true.

Growing up on the reserve was the fondest memory she had, then her family moved away and the incident happened. Now Y/n was considered a fully-fledged Cullen, thanks to her mother's friendship with Esme and Carlisle. Living in a house full of vampires took some getting used to, but they were her family.

This all brought her to the current moment of despair. Was despair the right word? She recalled the feeling when she looked into the eyes of Paul. Maybe Bella being a trouble maker finally did something right, but she didn't know. Oh, how Y/n wished she was with her family in Alaska.

"Guess the wolf's out of the bag..." Embry muttered, bringing Y/n out of her trance as she heaved a sigh, getting into the truck with Bella, Embry, and Jared.

"Why can't you stay out of trouble..." She groaned at Bella, who still looked fear-struck as Embry drove us to Emily's.
