the swinging of the pendulum of the clock echoed, the harsh silence ringing in undynes ears. she stared at the little before her "so-" she scratched her grills gently "what....do i do with you for....asgore knows how long??...." the babybones wiggled around softly, climbing onto the table. Undyne paused, she grabbed him and lifted him into her arms "well...papyrus jus' said to keep an eye on you..." she dressed him up in his shoes and his jacket "i think you can come with me to see al right?" she gave him a confused look, unsure what to..really do with the babybones.

"babies can have solid food right?" she thought for a moment "im pretty sure you can have solid food-" she nodded half assed as she slowly walked out her door- sans whimpered softly, reaching out for his bunny, making little tiny grabby hands as if his little life depended on it.

undyne paused and slowly clawed at it, the skeleton nuzzled it under his chin "damn kid, you're really attached to that thing aint ya?" she shrugged as she set off, her stomach growling with a feisty hunger "i wonder if you like burgers.." sans gave her a confused glance as the warrior made her way through snowdin, the townspeople gasping and awing at the sight, undyne passed it off, it didnt even phase her. she was a shining hope, a symbol of courage in the underground, she was revered, renowned, honored- respected! even.

she pushed the doors of grillby's bar open, the soft wind pushing past her, letting a tiny amount of snow as they closed behind her. The doggang paused as they stood, not expecting their captain to be at the bar at such early hours- or...at all- they saluted as undyne waved them off "not your shift-" she excused as she sat at the bar table.

sans stood on one of the stools, undyne grabbing a highchair, she chuckled as she watched the smaller monster grab fistfulls of sugar packets"what are you gonna do with those?" she could only laugh as he tried to stuff them into his socket- she pulled his little hand out "no no- dont want ya havin an accident- especially on my watch!" she grinned-

the flame elemental paused, he stared at the captain "hello- undyne?" he remarked, his flames crackling in both curiosity and delight "what can i do for you?" he asked softly, adjusting his glasses "its alright if i got the kid here?" she jabbed a thumb toward sans, who had eaten through the wrapping of the sugar packet- grillby nodded "cool- can i get just a plate of fries and a burger? just wanted to stop to get sans something to eat before i head to hotland-"

the firey bartender paused, taken aback "won't you dry out? hotland isnt really meant for....fish monsters-" the warrior shrugged it off "im only going to see alphys, bringin' sans along, cause im babysittin' kinda fun actually-"

"what about papyrus? where is he?" grillby asked, a little concerned "oh- he's on a date" she grinned "with who?" she clasped a hand over her mouth to keep herself from laughing "he's on a date with mettaton-" she gave a few chuckles "that IS surprising- well i wish him luck" his flames sparking bright as he  wrote something down on his notebook "be right back" undyne nodded as she watched the fire elemental step into the kitchen.

sans watched the whole conversation, he made small noises, trying to grab undynes attention- the fish woman paused and turned to the little skeleton "hm? yeah kiddo?" sans gently placed a small sugar packet into the palm of her hand, she paused for a moment, taking his hand into hers- hers was vastly larger- she hadnt realized just how small he really was- shed have to ask alphys about his development later- health wise-

grillby returned a few moments later, setting down a plate of fries and a burger- undyne nodded as the bartender left- she gently cooled the burger and fries and gently slid it to sans, the smaller tried reaching for the bottle of ketchup; undyne noticed and reached for it "this? you wanna try this?" sans nodded happily with excitment in his eyelights.

undyne shrugged and gently splattered some on the plate, papyrus had told her during training how sans hated when things such as sauces touched his food, didnt matter what it was, broccoli, grilled cheese, spinach, whatever- no sauce could touch his food. she found it funny in a literal sense, seeing as how sans was pushing his fries into the ketchup but laughed it off.

"wanna take that with you? we gotta head to al's" undyne waved grillby over as he handed her a to go box.

undyne gently pushed the ketchup into a little sauce cup and the rest into the box "ready to go lil dude?" sans nodded as the captain lifted him onto her shoulders so he could finish and set off to hotland.

The room was lit with gorgeous candles, the blue of the dark of the room bouncing off the tile gave the dining hall such a beautiful and peaceful, ambiance. Mettaton smiled gently as he pulled out a chair for the tall skeleton "thank you metta!" he sat down and scooted his chair closer to the table "no problem darling!" he waved a hand "i wanted to- say thank you- for.. coming with me on this date" he brushed back his hair sheepishly as papyrus nodded happily "of course! who wouldnt grasp at the amazing opportunity to go out with the great and amazing papyrus!!" he smirked, causing mettaton to burst into a small laugh "very great!~ very amazing~" mettaton smiled "i- the reason i asked- i...we've been friends for awhile- and...i figured it would be nice-" paprus nodded "yes! it is nice!" mettaton felt his face grow hot as he tried to cool himself down. "i guess watching all that- anime with alphys has turned me into a bit of a hopeless romantic-" mettaton gave a slight nervous chuckle.

"i dont find you hopeless" papyrus stared dead ahead into mettaton, snaking his hand over the robots. "i find you quite pleasant actually!" mettaton felt his soul grow brighter and warmer "o-oh my-" he waved his hand gently as he tried to keep himself cool "a-anyway- why dont you tell me a bit more about you hmm? whats going on in your life?"

papyrus paused "ah well! where do i even begin?!"

Undyne panted softly as she unwrapped sans from his coat "can i set him somewhere al?" she hung his coat on the coat hanger beside the door "j-just set sans up he-here- i-i'm making popcorn!" undyne paused "Hell ya!" she gently sat sans down on the bed cube "stay right there kay? kiddo?" sans watched as the warrior fish left, coming straight back with a blushing dino in her arms, holding a bowl of warm buttery popcorn.

"what are we watchin tonight al?" undyne wrapped an arm around alphys "i-i found another tape of the a-adventures of m-mew mew! in space!" her eyes shone happily as she wagged her tail excitedly.

sans watched and pouted, he didnt wanna watch tv! he wanted his big brother!- he looked around- well obviously he wasnt up here- maybe he was down in the main lab hall? he toddled his way down the escalator.

he swivled his head around, still no pap. he gave a bigger pout, he held his bunny dawn close to him as he kept looking- eventually he came to the door with alphys' bathroom sign- he stared- and pushed the door open- an- elevator!? inside a bathroom!? he hopped softly as he tried pressing a button- his little fingers hitting a button! but- what button was- suddenly the door closed and the elevator started going down! oh- no-

alphys paused, she perked up "whats wrong al?" undyne turned to her, the dino glanced around "where- is- s-sans?"

'isnt he right-" undyne turned to look at the spot she placed him in "oh- no-"

been a minute, huh?

about two day's worth of 'em.

papyrus finally ungrounded me from writing.

got my phone back, too.

on the condition that i, uh.

stop setting alarms.

won't go into detail about it.

at the bottom of the picture was frisk, blurry and way too close to the camera.

i sent a blurry close-up back.

i waited until paps was fully in his room.

then i ran inside, took my bed, and placed it a space away.

tori ran her character up to me (with the default skin) and punched me in my (also-default) face.

"ow."

"It is in the game!"

"would you punch me if you could?"

and she moved her character closer, nearly face-to-face with mine.

struggling to use the hotbar, she eventually threw a flower at me.

silly, sure.

but it..

made me really happy.

Hi I'm bored u wanna talk about fishdings to me?

GASP!

Okay so basically, for those who don't know, Fishdings is an au where Gaster is Undyne's dad and Sans doesn't exist. Papyrus is there, but only in a small fight in Waterfall that replaces Shyren's because SHYREN AND LEMON BREAD (although she's called Baked Bread here) REPLACE SANS AND PAPYRUS

So Fishdings Angler had a sister named Shelley who reproduced via Mitosis as you do and decided he too should make a child. Shelley got killed by the Justice child tho. Rip. She left her daughters in the care of their honourary auntcle, Riverperson.

To make his wonderful child, Fishdings combined RAW COSMIC MATTER, A LUMP OF HIMSELF (he can split his tail into legs and can grab off lumps of himself mid split, so thats how) AND GOLDFISH CRACKERS. But OH NO! He accidentally knocked a beaker of JUSTICE DETERMINATION into the mix! (He was studying it)

The child sprung out of the vat a fully formed five year old and immediately beat the shit out of him. He was very impressed at his NEW DAUGHTER'S STRENGTH and immediately took her to the king for training! While she was jabbing at Asgore with a stick, he came up with a wonderful name for her: UNDYNE ANGLER!

Once the newborn fish child got too tired to keep attempting a royal assassination, Fishdings took her to visit her extended family in Waterfall. Riverperson immediately adored their new honourary niece (obviously).

Shyra, six, didn't like Undyne that much at first because she's made of Justice Determination: the same justice determination used by some child to kill her mother. She eventually warmed up to her though, and the two grew up very close.

Shyren, one, loved Undyne from the start and the two would frequently run around the house together shrieking at the tops of their lungs.

Due to Fishdings being busy with SCIENCE and Riverperson with ferrying everyone around on a plank of wood (and also trying to built an actual boat), the Blooks would often babysit the fish children.

Maddy, thirteen is HEAD BABYSITTER! She's also the only one who does any work around here. It's thanks to her that the house hasn't blown up yet. Blanksta, eleven, is no help. They spend all their time in the ruins or on the farm. They are the ruins dummy.

Napsta, ten, is TOO STRESSED to help much. They like playing with Shyren though. Musical baby. They make sick beats together despite being little kids. Hapsta, eight, is even less help than Blanksta in the way that HE CAUSES PROBLEMS ON PURPOSE.

When Undyne is not hanging out with her cousins and the Blooks, she spends time in the lab with her father. The other scientists don't mind her running around the place as long as she's careful.

She also continues training with Asgore! Even though she has webbed hands, she's still pretty good with a spear. She can now beat the ass of anyone in the underground. Except maybe Asgore himself.

She lives on the top floor with her dad for awhile, but when she gets a bit older they move into Shyra and Shyren's place, and buy them a house in Snowdin. By then Shyra's twelve or thirteen so her and Shyren are okay alone most of the day. Besides, there are loads of other kids in Snowdin so they're happy enough. The Blooks still come visit sometimes.

That's all the early Fishdings lore, I think. Nothing else major happens til Undyne's fifteen anyway.

Please explain everything about this AU I know you'll like it

Okay, Fishdings is basically an AU where Gaster is Undyne's dad and his name is Fishdings Angler!

He's still the royal scientist though, he works for Asgore and specialises in multiversal studies, coming up with ways to bust out of the underground, the CORE, SOULS and whatever mechanical bullshit the adhd mindset decides he should build today.

The canon Gaster followers are, of course, his coworkers, as are the Goners.

He had a sister named Shelley (a geologist) who reproduced via asexual reproduction twice. She had two daughters who she named Shyra and Shyren. Sadly, not long after she created Shyren, she was killed by the JUSTICE DETERMINATION child, Caper.

Despite mourning his sister, Fishdings was also jealous that she had children and decided he should attempt to carry out something similar! He set up in the lab basement a là powerpuff girls, and combined the powers of HIMSELF*, RAW COSMOS AND GOLDFISH CRACKERS! He was content with this mixture, but OH NO! he accidentally knocked in a flask of LIQUID JUSTICE DETERMINATION, a lá powerpuff girls! (like I said, he was studying souls)

*(he can use magic to shift between having legs and having a fish tail, and mid shift it's goopy. He used a lump of this goop)

From this mixture a five year old child sprung fully formed and immediately attempted to fight her creator. And won. Fishdings was very very proud of his five minute old daughter and immediately took her to his boss so she coukd get lessons in combat. While she attempted (and failed) to beat the living shit out of Asgore, he came up with the perfect name: UNDYNE.

Once Undyne got too tired to keep attempting to fight, Fishdings decided to take her to see her relatives. They took the ferry (obviously) and Undyne got to meet her honourary uncleaunt Riverperson.

Riverperson has legal custody of Shyra and Shyren (they and Shelley were inseparable when she was alive), but as they are busy ferrying people around half the day (and trying to build a bigger boat) they mostly leave the girls in the care of the Blooks.

Undyne meets her cousins and their babysitters: Maddy, Blankstablook**, Napstablook and Hapstablook. Maddy, the eldest at 13, is the only one who actually babysits (the others are no help) but all of the ghosts insist they babysit too.

Shyren, one, is excited to meet her new cousin and they are fast friends. They frequently run around the house together screaming. Shyren is a very musical baby and Undyne just likes yelling.

Shyra, six, is... less fond of Undyne. As her mother was killed by the justice child and Undyne is made of justice determination, she resents her new cousin a little. She eventually warms up to her though, and they grow up very close.

Shyra and Shyren live in the house that we know in the game as Undyne's, in Waterfall. The Blooks live literally right next door, making babysitting convenient. Undyne spends half her childhood here when Fishdings is busy with science stuff.

Undyne and her dad live in the top floor of the lab. It's really just a bed crammed into a corner with various photographs pinned to the walls around it, but there's a tv in the basement. So. Undyne is free to run around the lab as long as she doesn't touch anything dangerous. The other scientists become quite fond of her over time too.

A few years later, Fishdings decides that Undyne is getting too old to live in the lab with him, so they buy a house in Snowdin for Shyra, Shyrup*** and Riverperson and move into their old place. The Shy sisters are okay with this! Snowdin has way more kids their age, and there's a schoolhouse so they aren't alone at home all day. The Blooks are happy to make the trip to visit sometimes too.

*** Shyren discovered they're non binary and so is Shyrup now

When Undyne's 15 her dad falls into the CORE. How? Not sure yet. Anyway, Undyne is so filled with JUSTICE DETERMINATION her hair glows gold and she vows to find him. It takes a few years, but they eventually figure out he's trapped in the void, build a portal and send a now 17 year old Undyne in to get him out.

The only problem is Fishdings is now liquid. He lives in a vat for a while, until he's eventually solid enough (slime consistency) to move around on his own. He immediately commissions a giant fish tank on the top floor of the lab, fitted with the void portal in the corner and takes to doing multiversal/void research in there.

The other scientists are relocated to a bigger lab in New Home so Fishdings can leave his slime and half built portals all over the damn place but they still visit sometimes! Fishdings visits the other lab sometimes too but mostly stays in a fishbowl on wheels so to not drip on the carpet.

Another year or so later, Fishdings gets word of a young scientist named Alphys who built a fabulous robot, that now has his own tv show. He arranges a meeting with her and hires her on the spot, giving her free run of the basement for whatever science related shit she pleases. He allowed her to use the basement because he wasn't using it, definitely not because he saw Undyne making heart eyes at the lizard monster...

Not long after that, Shyra "falls down". Fishdings and Undyne are devastated, and Alphys vows to find a way to revive Shyra and other monsters who have suffered the same fate.

The amalgam incidents carry out as they did in canon, except this time Fishdings finds out about it. It's difficult to hide four (five? six??) goop monsters in the basement when you have another goop monster two floors up who likes to pop down sometimes (nosy).

He encourages her to come forward about it, so the Amalgamates are returned to their overjoyed (albeit slightly confused) families. Undyne and Shyrup are, of course, overjoyed to have Shyra back! Except now she's also Moldbygg and Aaron, and goes by Baked Bread.

Two humans fall into the underground when Undyne turns 24. Their names are Revel and Frisk. Will they kill everyone or will they be pacifists? Depends which fanfic Killer and I will eventually write you read...

So yah. Other than Gaster being a fish and present and Undyne's dad and the amalgams being free and sans not existing and Shyrup and Baked Bread being very very relevant, not much else changes.

There are aesthetic changes ofc: Fishdings puts fishy motifs into everything he creates, and being head scientist means the rest of the Underground take to using fishy motifs in their everyday lives.

Fishdings made the puzzles in the ruins (he used to go down there to visit Toriel before she decided to close it off altogether), so they also look fishy. His puzzle skillz inspired Shyrup to make a few music themed ones of her own in Snowdin. Fishdings made a lot of the puzzles in Waterfall and Hotland too so again, FISHY MOTIFS.

Mettaton is Mermatriton bc he and Alphys were too inspired by the overabundance of fishiness.

Um that's all I can think of to say for now, oh expect in the fanfictions Killer and I will eventually write, the SOUL controls Revel on pacifist and Frisk on geno. So yeah!

- After Sans made Papyrus' costume, he made Arial a blue bandana so she "wouldn't feel left out" and Papyrus gave her red boots to match with him

- Gaster gifted Arial the purple bow when she was born but doesn't spend much time with her.

-Arial is friends with Chump (A possum monster who wears a red and white stripped hoodie), Sona, the inn keepers son, and Monster kid's sister.

Grandfather

- Gaster is a wendigo.

- he's 9ft tall (7ft without his antlers), he has black fur and he wears a white science coat.

- Not much is known about him aside from the fact he was A royal scientist. Because there was multiple. The other 2 were Alphy's parents.

- Gaster was the head of royal scientist team and he took his job very very seriously.

- He was a absent and workaholic father. He visited more and more when Sans was born and homeschooled him until Papyrus was born.

- Sans soon started working as a intern for Gaster and followed him everywhere.

- Gaster died shortly after Arial was born because Sans pushed him into the core after he found out Gaster was going to kidnap and experiment on Arial.

-after he fell into the core, he melted and his personality changed to be more delirious and goofy. He lurks in the shadows, watching his grandkids.

Sono

- Sono has a bat skull with bone ears.

- Sans and Papyrus' punk cousin on their mother's side.

- Sono is Nonbinary and is a shopkeeper that sells in garbage dump, right before you meet Dumby. Their shop is made of card board and it's inspired by Sans' hot dog stand.

- Sono is into grundge and punk human stuff. They love to look through the trash for cool stuff.

- Sono hangs out with Catty and Bratty and but their Aunt Lucida doesn't approve.

- they look up to Sans (literally. They're short) as a brother figure since they have no siblings and their parents are always working.

- Sans use to babysit Sono when they were a babybones and that's one of the reasons they're so close.

- Sono works as a babysitter for Arial when Lucida and Oswald have date night, need a break, or are both working.

- never knew Grandpop Gaster, bc they were never interested and Gaster took the time to even meet Sono.

Allura

- Allura used to be a human but was brought back to life as a skeleton by a huma mage.

- The only skeleton to have hair and it's short black with a white hair band.

- Allura wears a orange, and purple sweater, and ripped blue jeans with white sneakers.

- instead of Frisk falling down it's Allura. Allura fell down bc when they were brought back, the necromancer convinced other mages that Allura is a monster that escaped bc necromancy is forbidden. So they pushed Allura down Mt. Ebott.

Undyne paced nervously as she bit at her fingertips, her fins folded downward "i cant believe i lost the squirt!-" she groaned in more fear than anger "now hes lost in your lab! what am i gonna tell pap?!" she waved her hands frantically "sorry pap, we lost your brother and now hes nowhere to be seen!!" she panted hard as she laid her forehead against the wall. Alphys gently pet her hands in a calming circling motion "i-it'll be okay u-undyne, c-cmon lets go down there and see if we cant find him-" the short yellow dino held the captains hand gently in her claws as she lead her to the elevator. "....i hope the lil dudes okay.." undyne rubbed her arm gently "i-i'm sure he is- th-there shouldnt be anything dangerous down there" with the press of a button; the elevator descended.

through small curious eyes, wandering the halls. The pitter patter of his little blue sneakers hitting the greying teal tiles echoed off the walls.  it was dark, only to be illuminated by the occasional luminescence of the florescent lights above him.  The small skeleton held his hands close to him as he adventured further and further down the hall. he felt his little tummy rumble, the soft sound of humming wracked his skull as he bounded toward it, he stared as a vending machine came into view, it was filled with chisps and soda- he gently tired to shake the machine; whimpering when it did nothing, only to try harder and harder.

Papyrus hummed with satisfaction as he finished his plate "thank you metta. for such a wonderful night, now i must get back home-" he informed as the robotic entertainer nodded "of course darling! i enjoyed our little evening as well- but family matters most of course!!" he waved him off- the buzzing of the tall skeletons phone viberated in his pocket- digging the cellular device from his pockets, he answered- "hello?"

it was undyne-

"heeeeeey paps-''

"undyne? what a pleasant surprise! how are you?" he smiled cheerfully.

"uhhh doin' okay..."

she didnt...seem to sound okay? he didnt seem to not notice how her voice seemed to shake. "well, hows sans? i dont suppose my brother has given you a hard time has he?"

undyne held the phone in her hand as the elevator dinged "hes uh- doing alright- lil squirts just uh playin hide n seek is all!" she gave a laugh, hoping to dissway him.

"ahh yes well. im on my way to collect my brother"

he what?

"on- your way? like here? or?"

"well i mustve figured at somepoint youd be bored of snowdin-"

"righht- yes- uh- well- it uh- just so happens i'm heading on my way back to waterfall as we speak- im just stopping by alphys- real quick to grab some insta noods ya know?" she gave a slight nervous chuckle, sweat almost beginning to bead down her face "well ill see you back in water fall paps. see ya later-"

papyrus sighed softly "something is wrong and i can feel it.." he started making his way through to hotland-

big fat tears rolled down his little cheeks, his tummy growled angrily with hunger, he banged his little fists against the glass, angry at the failed attempt, he wanted his big brother, he fell to the floor, buring into his jacket.

a soft gentle hand(?) placed itself on his little head, he slowly lifted his head up to loo, a figure stood, kneeling infront of him as they smiled softly, it was almost trying to comfort him? they gave a soft smile, their face was droopy, almost as if it were melting? their eyes were a solid black, almost hollow if it werent for the two small white eyelights-

the sounds of the elevator dinged- the figure paused, it looked at the smaller body infront of them and disappeared-

sans paused, very confused as he heard the familiar voices of his aunts bounce off the walls-

"there you are squirt!!" undyne brushed out the concern in her voice as she lifted him into her arms and carried him back upstairs "next time, dont wander off on your own kay? save your aunty a heart attack-" she joked.

papyrus huffed as he leapt from the ferry, he rushed toward the lab and gently knocked "Alphys??" as amazed as he was, the door opened miraculously- undyne smiled softly as she took in a sharp breath "lil slugger can hide good," she thrusted the baby bones back into the elders arms "ah- th-thank you undyne-" the captain nodded "any time paps, next time we'll just stay in my house-" she whiped the sweat from her brow as papyrus started to head home.

papyrus sighed contently, nestling sans onto the couch "i'll make you something to eat, i know you mustve been hungry playing hide n seek with aunt undyne-"

sans gave a little giggle, papyrus furred his brow in slight suspicion "she says it was hide n seek-" he held a small plate as he prepared crabapple sauce, soft warmed dinosaur egg oatmeal with noodles and sea tea. he gently feeds his brother "after your done we'll give you a bath and head to bed-"

setting sans down in his bed, he watched him for a moment "all nice and tucked in?" the baby bones nodded softly "alright, good night sans, i love you, i'll be downstairs if you need me-" he turned on his night light, and very quietly closed his door.

papyrus gently rested against the couch as he sighed "...ughh..today was a long day-"

he let out a soft breath, turning the TV on; letting his eyes fall, letting them grow heavier and heavier- till he had fallen asleep.

Is Sans a stay at home dad since Toriels a teacher?

He's a stay at home Dans technically, but he also has like, a billion freelancer jobs. A lot he can do from home in the mornings, however by the time the kids get home most days, he's not home and the kids have a babysitter named Amber.

I don't have a full list of his jobs, but I know he runs a stand. Hotdogs, lemonade, hot coco, random trinkets, etc.

He also has been helping out Paps and Undyne with getting the guard reinstated.

frisk picked up their kickball that's narrowly missed me enough times to make me reconsider my seating.

an unusual amount of exhaustion slows my every movement today. not the lazy slow i've typically got; slow like sludge.

i blame it on the dog that wouldn't stop rifling through everything in my room. normally i'd kick it out, but then it'd go bug papyrus. knowing ahead of time he'd be busy today, i'd let it annoy me for the night.

"i'm bored, but i'm not 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 bored."

"Lazy ass."

"the rest of me's lazy too, y'know."

grabbed his pot and carried it with me to the back porch with me. i was met with a frankly surprising lack of complaints, his scowl being the extent of it.

he ignored my reply.

"Fine. Not Grillby, not Papyrus, not Alphys..."

"Don't you hang out with Napstablook sometimes?"

"yeah."

"Why not them?"

"they're with mtt. calling mew, i think."

"...How's she doing?"

"Both of them need to get better."

"at playing?"

"why don't you go play with 'em?"

the incredulous look he gave me was expected.

"Because I don't have limbs??"

"so you'd play if you could."

Undyne The Baby Sitter

It was a quiet day on the surface. Toriel was off on a conference, and Asgore was filling in for Frisk’s ambassador duties, as the human child had gotten sick. Sans was on sentry duty, or more accurately running his illegal hotdog stand, and Alphys needed to file some reports in the lab, leaving Undyne and Papyrus to watch the royal children. Undyne had been a sitter for the royal children many times before, and was delighted to do so again. Only this time was a bit different . 

Almost every time Undyne had to look after the Royal children, they would invite Monster Kid along for a playdate. There were times where he hadn’t come before, but his older sister always called when he couldn’t make it. But not this time. He just wasn’t there, no call, no heads up, no nothing. Undyne brushed it off, telling herself that he had gotten sick as well. But despite that, Undyne couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.

It wasn’t until she received a strange phone call when her suspicions were confirmed. 

Kidnapper: We have your kid.

Undyne: What?! I don’t have a-

Undyne stopped herself mid-sentence, realizing that there were a number of her friends who would have been mistaken  for her child. She looked around to see Papyrus and Frisk palling around while Flowey  is yelling about something, and Chara angrily stabbing an empty plate that not five minutes before had been  covered with brownies. She sighed in relief, knowing that she hadn’t fucked up at babysitting just yet. But she couldn’t help but feel something was still off.

Undyne: I’m pretty sure every punk who could even remotely be considered my kid is in the room with me right now.

Kidnapper: ...Then who’s this dumb brat with no arms?

Undyne slammed the phone onto the receiver, jumped onto the table, and pulled out her spear.

Undyne: PAPYRUS, ASSEMBLE THE GUARD! THE ASSHOLES ON THE PHONE HAVE MONSTER KID!

Funny thought I had: Creation Dragons as babysitters.

Giratina is the Responsible Auncle. They're intimidating, but they mean well. They're a bit lenient, and help calm Huey down whenever he gets upset.

Dialga is similar, but a bit stricter with bedtimes and feeding. (They're the stern, but still fair, auncle.) If Huey's been good, they might show him scenes of the past, or big epic moments in the past or future, as a bedtime story. (Nothing that can cause a paradox.)

Palkia is the Disaster Aunt. Nobody lets her babysit unless they absolutely have to. Basically, imagine Undyne as a babysitter. Now give Undyne Space Powers. That's Palkia in a nutshell. (Unfortunately, she's Huey's favorite.)
