SKZ “Untold originals” - Han Q&A "As a member of the unit '3RACHA', he has excellent songwriting and lyrical skills. Although he mainly takes on the rap position, he is a member of Hexagonal who also has vocal and dance sillas
Tumblr media
💬: As a member of 3racha, what is your proudest and most rewarding moment in the process of working on your team's songs and presenting them to the world?
🐿: The most exciting feeling is when I present the finished work to the world, including the performance. There are times when I feel very nervous and anxious, but when I see the reactions of STAY and the many audience members, those feelings melt like snow.
Tumblr media
💬: I know you get inspiration to write lyrics and compositions from media like movies and comics. I'm curious to know what content you've seen recently that impressed you.
🐿: Recently, I've been watching the dating reality show <Transit Love>. I enjoy being immersed in pure, sincere emotions and realistic situations from start to finish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
💬: At the 2023 Dome Tour concert, he performed the rock genre solo 'Don't Say'. Stay's reaction to seeing him play guitar while wearing a shirt was exciting.
🐿: There were two other songs nominated, but I thought I could show 'Don't Say' in the most lively way when I sang it live. For the style, I directly suggested my favorite rock stars as a reference and I think that image of a rock star was well reflected on stage. The guitar performance wasn't in the original song, but since it was my first solo performance, I added it because I wanted to show more. It was a very happy moment because I was able to show the scenario that I really liked and dreamed of.
Tumblr media
💬: In addition to winning the 2024 Visionary Awards, they were described as "a group of independent artists unstoppably dominating the global charts with music full of emotion and style." I'm curious to know what you think about receiving the award.
🐿: Thank you very much for giving us this significant award. I would also like to express my gratitude to Stay and the company family who together made Stray Kids what it is today. I will repay you with an unbreakable heart and skills constantly growing over time

It's Fictional Throwdown Friday!
This Week's Fighters...
The Terrarian vs Paper Mario!
Conditions:
Mario has absolutely everything except for the Pure Hearts. Terrarian has everything. Speed Equalized.
Scenario:
The Terrarian intends to steal the Crystal Stars to use them to make a new weapons set. Mario stands in his way.
Analysis: The Terrarian
The land of Terraria, despite it's unassuming exterior, is a chaotic and dangerous one. The universe was created as an experiment by the Gods, a test to see if some form of cosmic balance could be maintained. However this balance was threatened by the dread god Cthulhu, who sought to bring all of Terraria under his domain. Luckily, the ancient race known as the Dryiads were able to overpower the dark lord, fighting it to the very last man and crippling him irreversibly. This forced Cthulhu to retreat to the dark side of the moon, where it would attempt yo regain its strength to one day attempt to conquer the world once more.
That day was soon to be fast approaching as a cult arose, seeking to revive Cthulhu and bring his horrible reign down upon all. That is when our hero enters this story: The Terrarian themselves. They were a simple nobody of unknown origins until the mysterious guide appeared before them one day and sent them off on their quest to prevent Cthulhu's return.
And luckily for all of us, The Terrarian has many.... many.... many tools on hand to help them fight the forces of darkness. This dude has more armors than Tony fucking Stark, each of which designed to help them combat that numerous beasts infesting Terraria.
Every armor and weapon at their disposal bolsters their already superhuman strength to some degree, which says a lot when they're capable of killing ghosts and blasting zombies into big meaty chunks with just their bare hands. Many of their armors, as well as their healing items such as potions, campfires, and statues, can speed up their regeneration, which is already good enough to help them recover from having their face ripped off. On top of that, many of their armors allow them to duplicate ammunition, allowing them to mow you down with their variety of gattling guns and magical crossbows with complete impunity. And if that wasn't bad enough, their most powerful armors can increase their capacity to summon minions as well as allow them to turn invisible.
On the topic of said summons, they're completely intangible, unable to be harmed even by those who can kill ghosts and effect souls. This is especially problematic when you have to deal with all the other things the Terrarian's magic can do. They can make it rain damaging blood from the sky, bring down small meteors just by swinging their sword, can freely teleport just about anywhere is sight or teleport all the way back to their base, and even nullify your ability to heal from it all. Their ranged weapons are equally deadly, capable of shooting poisonous projectiles, intangible projects (that go straight through everything that isn't you), giant fucking lasers, the works. Really it'd be easier to list all the ways the Terrarian can't kill you.
I don't think that the Terrarian wouldn't be willing to use this on you either. They can be shockingly ruthless in the pursuit of their goals. For example, they were perfectly willingly to permanently sacrifice their Guide's life to get a shot at killing the Wall of Flesh, unleashing the spirits of Light and Dark and causing untold chaos in the process. Hell, they even helped hasten Cthulhu's return just so they could kill it themselves and solve the problem for good. So you can fully expect some ruthless tactics out of them. Magically enducing confusion in you to get an opening? Check. Sucking out your very life force until you're nothing but a dead and empty husk? Sure thing. Spraying you with a weapon that corrupts you into a mindless servant of the all consuming Crimson, omnicidal Corruption, or over zealous Hallow right down to your very soul? Yes, they'd do that.
And good fucking luck retaliating properly, even assuming you could hit someone who can fly, teleport, and turn invisible at whim, their numerous charms and armors grant them resistances to poison, mind control, fire, ice, and many, many more. Hell, they can even resist your ability yo nullify said resistances with the right gear. And if that's not good enough, they can even transform themselves at will into a form that gives them a better advantage, such as a merfolk who can breath underwater or a werewolf with increased strength at night.
Even with all this at their disposal, the Terrarian does have some considerable weaknesses. That being that a lot of their stuff relies on their gear. If you take that away, you'd be left with an incredibly experienced and skilled fighter... but that's about it.
Having said that, they're still an underdog ehen compared to their competition. The Terrarian builds nearly all their gear themselves and has used it to slaughter entire armies and even outright gods in the span of a single night. For example, the Celestial Towers that sealed away the Moon Lord (Cthulhu), are powerful enough to pull the moon closer to the Earth in the span of seconds. The kinetic energy generated would measure out to 152.98 Ninatons of tnt, or 9x more than the energy needed to destroy the Dwarf Star OTS 44.
Source:
And keep in mind, this isn't even the Terrarian at their peak. They would later fight against the same Mokn Lord who was stated to be capable of destroying the entire realm of Terraria.
Tumblr media
The loot they got from beating the Moon Lord is even stronger still. When you're powerful enough to beat gods who can destroy stars, you're powerful enough to do damn near anything. The Terrarian is far more than a simple Minecraft clone. They're in a league all of their own.
Analysis: Paper Mario
Mario "Jumpman" Mario. You know who he is and what he does. Even if you've never touched one of his games, you probably know everything about Mr. Video Game. This humble plumber has risen high ever since his humble days chasing after Donkey Kong Sr. Being basically the only competent form of security that the peaceful Mushroom Kingdom has, Mario has rescued its resudents and princess from the clutches of the nefarious Bowser countless times. But some of his adventures are a bit.... craftier than others.
For the sake of this analysis specifically, I'm treating Mario and Paper Mario has two distinct entities. While Nintendo has gone a bit back and forth in the past as to whether or not Mario and Paper Mario are the same guy, with several games in both series referencing the events of each other's games as canon while at other times treating the two as completely distinct entities, so really, you're fair to read them either way. Mario has about as much continuity as Tom and Jerry most days anyways, so for the sake of fairness, I'll be limiting Mr. Jumpman to his arts and crafts arsenal today. Even when treated distinctly, Mario and Paper Mario should powerscale off each other in stats regardless, because Paper Jam is a game that exists.
Not that being two dimensional has made Mario's arsenal any less vast. The usual arrangement of hammers, fire flowers, and mushrooms with various effects are all here and accounted for. Paper Mario is just as capable of making big jumps as his three dimensional counterpart and has saved his version of Peach just about as often. And what's unique in Paper Mario's arsenal is often times uniquely devastating.
Mario's papery proportions allow him to move in unique ways. He can flip between 3-d and 2-d to avoid attacks and reach otherwise impossible areas and he's been "cursed" with all manor of shapeshifting abilities, from the power to turn into a paper plane and soar through the sky to the power to the ability to turn into a paper boat to crosd the sea! Mario can breath in the vacuum of space (except for when he can't) and survive space radiations completely unprotected.
Moreover, Mario's inventory is versatile and deadly. The mega star can make him grow absolutely gigantic and let him plow through everything in sight, while his Pixl allies give him a whole host of powers. Tippi analyzes his enemies for him, giving him advice and informing him of their stats, Barry creates, well, barriers to protect Mario from threats, Carrie turns into a floating platform to carry Mario and pals out of danger, and Thoreau lets him pick up and throw enemies and objects over twice his size, among many others.
Over the course of his first adventure, Mario would rescue the seven Star Spirits, allowing him to overcome Bowser's wish granting star rod and nullify his invincibility. Mamar sings a song to put enemies to sleep, Skolar rains down stars from the sky, Muskular decreases the enemy's strength, Misstar restores his health, Klevar stops time, and Kalmar transmutes the enemies into stars. The Crystal Stars can give many of the same abilities, on top of powers such as creating Earthquakes and sealing away beings as powerful as the Shadow Queen, who could cause earthquakes all over the world and covered the world in darkness.
Yet, despite all that variety, Mario's most powerful and arguably strangest ability comes in the form of things. Real life objects of incredible power that can be used to absorb and redirect poisons, melt entire mountains, and even spin the entire planet! Such a feat, if performed on Paper Mario's world, would generate a kinetic energy equivalent to 154 exatons of TNT. That's enough to shatter the moon!
Source:
And that's on top of being considered equal to his mainline counterpart. The same Mario whose power stars can create galaxies, who could survive the universe being reset, and defeated the Megabug, a dimensional instability that was going to destroy Mario's entire dimension.
2-d or 3-d, Mario is one of most powerful video game characters Nintendo has ever created. No matter what side series he hails from, Mario is the mascot for a reason.
Throwdown Theme:
youtube
Throwdown Breakdown:
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. This is a big one.
The arsenal on both of these combatants is absolutely massive. I don't think I even touched on half of it in either of their run downs. And both of them have ways of killing each other right out the gate. The Terrarian could always just corrupt Mario into a unicorn, but Mario can just as easily turn the Terrarian into stars. As video game characters controlled by the player, neither side really has a go to openinh move in combat, so determining who wins the quick draw is difficult. And that's on top of all the abilities that just counter out, like flight, because they both have several ways of doing it.
On one hand, Mario cannot destroy or guard against the Terrarian's summons, as even people who can punch ghosts to death bare handed can't touch them, meaning Mario's ability to fight Boos wouldn't help and he'd be getting harassed all fight. On the other hand, Mario's ability to shift between two and three dimensions would provide a similar level of Intangibility, as Terrarian has never shown to hit a foe who becomes incorporeal in such a manor. On the third hand, Terrarian has even more ranged options, with a huge plethore of guns, bows, and magic staffs, whereas Mario heavily relies on either massive Area of Effect attacks or attacks that are relatively close range.
Both of these combatants can either defeat beings who or are comparable to beings who can defeat people who can threaten to destroy the entire universe, so there's no considerable gap in power. Any attempts to buff or debuff stats would get swiftly countered out anyways by potions and power ups.
So what's the deciding factor here? Well, there's a few things that work in Mario's favor here.
1. Unpredictability. As vast as the Terrarian's arsenal is, all their weapons are at least things that look like weapons at first glance. Mario, meanwhile, can just summon a giant chicken or stop time with a stop watch, or spin the Earth with a fan and you don't know which until he does it.
2. Analysis. Tippi is going to be able to give Mario a tip that the Terrarian is very dangerous and very versatile, cluing him in to the fact that he should open up with a winning move first, while Terrarian is going in blind.
From there, Mario could just stop time or put Terrarian to sleep before turning them into stars. While Terrarian could just as easily open up with an instant win move, they both wouldn't know to do so and would have no way of predicting Mario's arsenal because of how out there it is.
As versatile as these two god killers are, Mario is just that little bit... craftier.
This Throwdown's Winner is....

BLOGTOBER 10/30/2023: TALK TO ME (2022)
Tumblr media
When I was 9 or 10 years old, I went to a slumber party with a lot of other girls who started a game of choking each other for the rush. I didn't participate, but watched in fascination as they took turns making each other pass out for several hours. Early on, it devolved into a lot of girls faking it so they could then pretend to say outrageous things "in their sleep", so this wasn't as extreme a scenario as it may sound. However, there's something deeply perverse about it, at least relative to the (bullshit, often harmful) "innocence" society projects onto children, and I wasn't sure if I should even write this all down. I had a feeling that probably lots of little kids have done this, but I couldn't be sure. I tried looking it up on the internet, and found a pretty upsetting article about it from just a few years ago. So, I suppose it's probably pretty common, and has been so, though it's not always the casual thing I remember from childhood. I thought about this for the first time in decades when I recently saw TALK TO ME, a strange and original Australian horror movie that I'm really sorry I missed in theaters.
Tumblr media
Mia (Sophie Wilde), an alienated teenager struggling with her mother's suicide and her father's subsequent withdrawal from her, finds a bizarre form of comfort in a disturbing game she learns at a house party. Local delinquents have somehow procured an embalmed, severed hand that causes anyone who holds it to become possessed by ghosts. This is safe when done for short periods of time, beyond which there lie untold perils. Inevitably, Mia breaks the rules in order to reunite with her late mother--a foolish mistake that sets off a gruesome chain of events, threatening to destroy her along with all of her loved ones.
Tumblr media
For a movie with such a fun and stylish veneer, TALK TO ME is surprisingly sad and grim, and also unpredictable. Things about it didn't quite add up for me: Where does this object come from? Why do the kids accept its extraordinary supernatural effects so readily and fearlessly? What effect does it exactly have on them, that cause them to behave like addicts, endlessly going back for more even when many of them are humiliated by the behavior of the possessing spirits? At that, why do kids play games like Bloody Mary, where the expectation is that a demoness will spring out of your mirror and murder you? Why are Ouija Boards all the more attractive because of the rumored dangers? These questions dredged up my ancient memories of the choking game, something that may not have made sense to most adults, because it was a little scary, and because it broke the rules around what society assumes about innocent young children. At that, there may be something to the fact that TALK TO ME was made by first-time filmmakers Michael and Danny Philippou, whose relative inexperience may have given them the freedom to ignore the usual expectations. This produces a rather uncertain viewing experience that sometimes results in a breech of contract with the audience, who may not expect something as intense as this movie becomes.
Tumblr media
Obviously this is a commercial graphic related to where to stream TALK TO ME, but it so represents my feelings about being a film lover in the modern world that I'm including it anyway.
Of course, I had to look up who the filmmakers were, which was sort of an unpredictable journey in and of itself. First it was like...oh no, they're YouTubers. I really don't want anything to do with that whole entire culture. Then further down their Wikipedia page there's the Controversies section, and I was like, Oh no, half the time I am forced to hear about a YouTuber, it's because someone has been outed as a gross predator, I don't know if I even wanna look... And then I read what was in there. Twice. And I was OK with it:

The End.

Odasaku & Ranpo Fanfic Prompt
Disclaimer: I can’t write Oda* and also can’t be bothered to find out if this scenario fits into the canon timeline but I had a vision.
— — —
• On Ranpo’s 20th** birthday, Fukuzawa decides to celebrate by taking Ranpo to a bar he had once visited with the company of Mori Ougai in the past***
• Ranpo sits down on the stool next to Fukuzawa, he won’t admit it but he’s just a bit nervous about the new scene and experience, but he smiles it off. Still, it’s enough of a distraction for him to not notice the group a seat away from him and his companion. Next to him is two men, around Ranpo’s age, siting on either side of a teenaged boy with a constant lost look on his face. This group isn’t very weary of Ranpo’s presence either.
• Fukuzawa asks Ranpo about his current knowledge of alcohol, to which Ranpo waves his hand in the direction of the bartender and asks for whatever’s sweetest.
• One of the men in the seat near Ranpo’s suddenly turns to study him slowly, his eyes grow surprised just slightly as he hears Fukuzawa speak. Ranpo looks over at the mysterious redhead to meet his gaze just as his glass taps the table.
• “Heyy, I know you!” Ranpo starts but hushes as Fukuzawa slowly shakes his head. Still, Oda stands to move to the stool next to Ranpo, making the other man and the bandaged teenager he’s with watch him disapprovingly.
• Oda begins to bring up the moment in the office they met at, easing into the conversation and avoiding all of the less savory details from that moment. Ranpo chuckles as Fukuzawa gently listens to the others’ conversation.
• Eventually Ranpo’s glass is empty and he and Oda are happily chatting about completely unrelated topics, not related to being a detective or mafioso or assassin, just casual talk about the things they like. A lot of their conversation revolves around their clash in flavor preferences.
• As the night comes to a close, the bandaged teen Oda was with grabs Oda’s attention and causes him to hurry a goodbye to Ranpo and Fukuzawa before leaving with his friends.
— — —
I’m almost certain that this doesn’t line up with the timeline but it’s just for fun. Also, if you for some reason want to fully write this or want to write something based on it please do, but also let me know because I’d love to read it.

Notes
*My only perception of Oda is from BEAST (manga), Untold Origins and how I’ve seen people talk about him and write him, so not anything from Dark Era. In fact, I know almost nothing about BSD Dark Era…
**Legal drinking age in Japan
***Again, I don’t know if this is supported by the canon timeline (I don’t know the exact moment of the Mori-Fukuzawa fallout)

The Darkness of Fairy Tail
Tumblr media
Hello once again everyone! As promised, it's time to unveil Part 2 of this big project we are working on! (story and text by @snowfist13, art by @windmaedchen)
🛈 Introduction (Prelude) 🛈 Introduction (The Darkness of Fairy Tail) 🟣 Darkness 01-10 🟣 Darkness 11-20 🟣 Darkness 21-30 🟣 Darkness 31-40 🟣 Darkness 41-50 🟣 Darkness 51-60 🟣 Darkness 61-70 🟣 Darkness 71-80
As a reminder, there are a few things to point out in this story:
This is fanmade and a what-if scenario, not involved with the main story but using story elements and subplots.
Part 2 is going to involve a different kind of ''confrontation'' between Ivan Dreyar and Lucy Heartfilia.
This mini-Arc dwells on the origin story of the Dreyar Family, focusing on members Yuri and Makarov Dreyar and Ivan's backstory. And a big secret is revealed by the end.
While fanmade, we managed to create some unique storylines that stay true to the main continuity as well as fill in blanks on the mysterious side of Fairy Tail.
Warning: There are some darker tones and subplots from Ivan's perspective.
A running gag becomes a setting plot...
One of the longest gag jokes in Fairy Tail is how everyone barges in on Lucy Heartfilia's apartment without permission. Only this time, she encounters Ivan in her home and things become complicated. Yet, it's the start in which Lucy learns the dark secrets of the Dreyar family and also how their family's involvement has shaped the Fairy Tail guild.
Lucy's closure...
As we introduced in the Prelude Part, Lucy plays an important role in this arc. In the main continuity, Lucy has evolved to be a real Fairy Tail wizard, but unlike the rest of the main cast, she still retains her common sense and tries to find the logical concept behind Ivan's war against his former home. During the events of this story, Lucy's belief in the guild begins to break down and she feels conflicted about how her friends become more desperate and obsessed ever since Makarov Dreyar is gone. Despite her hatred of Ivan's actions, she begins to question her enemy's reasons and she is smart enough to know that Ivan's conflict has a deeper meaning, unlike the meaningless goals of most of the other main villains of the series. During the first panels, Ivan's demeanour is similar to her late father Jude Heartfilia. In a strange way, Lucy's conversation with Ivan brings her the answers to conflicted feelings in Ivan's personal war and also provides a personal closure which she never had from her father.
Fairy Tail's true origins...
Fairy Tail Zero was created as a way of introducing fans to how the guild was made. In this Part, Ivan tells Lucy how Fairy Tail is truly made and how his forefathers, Yuri and Makarov's, way of life and actions have moulded their guild into what it is now. While not exactly canon to the main story, this allowed us to create a narrative interpretation from theories and character analysis to understand how each Dreyar plays a role, even the female members.
Yuri's untold story...
One of the founding members of Fairy Tail and the Dreyar ancestor. The last arc of the main series depicted that Yuri mysteriously died 3 years after Mavis was brought back after her encounter with Zeref. It was never mentioned how he died but we managed to establish our interpretation. While being dark and tragic, we figured that Yuri somehow had a powerful impact on his guild and its members, including his son Makarov, who became more dedicated to the guild's legacy than anyone else.
Makarov's rise and fall...
The prelude of the story showed that this was the last story of Makarov Dreyar. Part 2 finally fleshes out how Makarov had finally reached the end of his life. While originally fighting flashbacks between Ivan and Makarov were planned, we cut it down to the important details. As stated by both fans and ideal theories, Makarov's fall is based on how much emotional weight affects his heart. We also dived into Makarov's own origin story and why he's the heart of the guild.
Ivan's true feelings and his dark philosophy...
The long-awaited answer (our interpretation) to why both Ivan and Makarov are at odds and conflict with one another. It's unclear from the original series, but we made some analysis and were able to understand that Ivan's feud may hold a much more personal story than we may imagine. Along the way in Part 2, fans will discover that Ivan did love Makarov but his father's duties as the master and childish demeanour slowly turned Ivan bitter and spiteful of Fairy Tail's traditions, as he reveals how he started to become different from his former comrades. Ivan wouldn't be a son of Makarov if he didn't have powerful speeches of his own. So Ivan shares harsh (but relatable) quotes and ideals that make him far more distinguishable compared to other Fairy Tail villains. He is regarded by fans and media as the black sheep of his family and for a reason: Part 2 reveals why he doesn't hold the same principles as his family.
A dark and deep secret of the Dreyar Family...
While talking about the origins of the Dreyar Family, Lucy discovers the true nature of the enigmatic wife of Ivan and the mother of Laxus. She is the key plot of the father/son feud, as well as a unique interpretation of what the original series should have focused on...
Nature vs. Nurture...
When talking about the Dreyars, it's also important to understand the world, the setting, the environment and the era each of them lived and how they've been affected by it. Ivan Dreyar is a prime example of this ''concept'', he is not entirely pure evil as one would think, but rather strayed off from a ''proper'' path, one that a Fairy Tail member should follow.
Fairy Tail belongs to Hiro Mashima

do you have any book recs?
*sorry it took me so long to respond, i wanted to do it right*
a few from the pile of books im currently working through:
Fight Like Hell - Kim Kelly -
A revelatory and inclusive history of the American labor movement, from independent journalist and Teen Vogue labor columnist Kim Kelly. Freed Black women organizing for protection in the Reconstruction-era South. Jewish immigrant garment workers braving deadly conditions for a sliver of independence. Asian American fieldworkers rejecting government-sanctioned indentured servitude across the Pacific. Incarcerated workers advocating for basic human rights and fair wages. The queer Black labor leader who helped orchestrate America's civil rights movement. These are only some of the working-class heroes who propelled American labor's relentless push for fairness and equal protection under the law. The names and faces of countless silenced, misrepresented, or forgotten leaders have been erased by time as a privileged few decide which stories get cut from the final copy: those of women, people of color, LGBTQIA people, disabled people, sex workers, prisoners, and the poor. In this definitive and assiduously researched work of journalism, Teen Vogue columnists and independent labor reporter Kim Kelly excavates that untold history and shows how the rights the American worker has today — the forty-hour workweek, workplace-safety standards, restrictions on child labor, protection from harassment and discrimination on the job — were earned with literal blood, sweat, and tears. Fight Like Hell comes at a time of economic reckoning in America. From Amazon's warehouses to Starbucks cafes, Appalachian coal mines to the sex workers of Portland's Stripper Strike, interest in organized labor is at a fever pitch not seen since the early 1960s. Inspirational, intersectional, and full of crucial lessons from the past, Fight Like Hell shows what is possible when the working class demands the dignity it has always deserved.
Limits and Beyond: 50 years on from The Limits to Growth, what did we learn and what’s next? -
In 1972, a book changed the world. The Club of Rome commissioned a report that shifted how we see what humans are doing to the planet. Looking back five decades later, what happened next, what did we do and not do, what did we learn, and what happens now? In The Limits to Growth, a team from MIT studied the way humans were using the resources of the earth. Using sophisticated computer modelling, the researchers developed scenarios to map out possible paths for humanity, the global economy and the impact on the planet. Were their models right? What did the rest of the world do about it? Now, in 2022, the Club of Rome have brought two of the original authors from the 1972 book, Dennis Meadows and Jorgen Randers, along with an array of other world-renowned thinkers, scientists, analysts and economists from across the globe to answer these questions and grapple with the most acute issue of our time. In the first section, “Echoes of a Great Book”, Ugo Bardi sets the scene with an in-depth examination of the original report and the effect it has had on how we might think about what humanity is doing to the world. Jorgen Randers and Dennis Meadows then ask what the first book actually said and answer the most common questions that people ask about the book and progress since. Further explorations of the impact and consequences of the ground-breaking original book follow. Next, in the “Still the Economy, But What Kind?” section, the contributors examine the economic ideas that have informed and arisen from The Limits to Growth in the following decades and critique those assumptions and notions. They ask what must change if we are to stay within the limits set by nature. In the “New Lenses for a Different Future” section, thinkers from continents and cultures across the globe expand on their unique experiences of acting in and observing a world that may use all its resources before we wake up and act. The “Did We Learn? Will We?” section ponders where we go from here. Has humanity taken in the lessons of The Limits to Growth? What have we learned in the meantime? And, most importantly, what can we do about it now? Limits and Beyond: 50 years on from The Limits to Growth, what did we learn and what’s next? reaches back half a century to when the original report shook the world into realising that we live on a finite planet, brings it sharply up to date, and looks clear-eyed into the future. Limits and Beyond focuses the mind on the pressing issues of sustainability, global economics, and ecology that global politics and institutions need to grapple with to ensure the survival of the human race. Limits and Beyond is the book that will shape the conversation about our place on the earth for the next 50 years and beyond. Can we save the planet and the human race?
Discipline & Punish The Birth of the Prison - Michel Foucault
In this brilliant work, the most influential philosopher since Sartre suggests that such vaunted reforms as the abolition of torture and the emergence of the modern penitentiary have merely shifted the focus of punishment from the prisoner's body to his soul.
Socialism: Utopian and Scientific - Frederick Engels
Socialism, Utopian and Scientific is a political science classic that needs no preface. It ranks with the Communist Manifesto as one of the indispensable books for anyone desiring to understand the modern socialist movement. It has been translated into every language where capitalism prevails, and its circulation is more rapid than ever before. The book explains the differences between utopian socialism and scientific socialism, which Marxism considers itself to embody. The book explains that whereas utopian socialism is idealist, reflects the personal opinions of the authors and claims that society can be adapted based on these opinions, scientific socialism derives itself from reality. It focuses on the materialist conception of history, which is based on an analysis over history, and concludes that communism naturally follows capitalism. Engels begins the book by chronicling the thought of utopian socialists, starting with Saint-Simon. He then proceeds to Fourier and Robert Owen. In Chapter Two, he summarizes dialectics, and then chronicles the thought from the ancient Greeks to Hegel. Chapter Three summarizes dialectics in relation to economic and social struggles, essentially echoing the words of Marx
The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man - John Perkins
The previous edition of this now-classic book revealed the existence and subversive manipulations of "economic hit men.” John Perkins wrote that they “are highly paid professionals who cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. Their tools include fraudulent financial reports, rigged elections, payoffs, extortion, sex, and murder.” In Perkins's case the tool was debt—convincing strategically important countries to borrow huge amounts of money for enormous, “development “ projects that served the very rich while driving the country deeper into poverty and debt. And once indebted, these countries could be controlled. In this latest edition, Perkins provides revealing new details about how he and others did their work. But more importantly, in an explosive new section he describes how the EHM tools are being used around the world more widely than evereven in the U. S. itself. The cancer has metastasized, yet most people still aren't aware of it. Fear and debt drive the EHM system. We are hammered with messages that terrify us into believing that we must pay any price, assume any debt, to stop the enemies who, we are told, lurk at our doorsteps. The EHM system—employing false economics, bribes, surveillance, deception, debt, coups, assassinations, unbridled military power—has become the dominant system of economics, government, and society today. It has created what Perkins calls a “Death Economy.” But Perkins offers hope: he concludes with dozens of specific, concrete suggestions for actions all of us can take to wrest control of our world away from the economic hit men, and help give birth to a Life Economy. *About the Author- John Perkins was formerly Chief Economist at a major international consulting firm where he advised the World Bank, United Nations, the IMF, U.S. Treasury Department, Fortune 500 corporations, and governments in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Since then, his books on economics and geo-politics have sold more than 1 million copies, spent many months on the New York Times and other bestseller lists, and have been published in over 30 languages. He is a founder and board member of Dream Change and The Pachamama Alliance, nonprofits devoted to establishing a world our children will want to inherit.
Biocentrism - Robert Lanza, MD w/ Bob Berman
Robert Lanza is one of the most respected scientists in the world. US News and World Report cover story called him a "genius” and a "renegade thinker,” even likening him to Einstein. Lanza has teamed with Bob Berman, the most widely read astronomer in the world, to produce Biocentrism, a revolutionary new view of the universe. Every now and then a simple yet radical idea shakes the very foundations of knowledge. The startling discovery that the world was not flat challenged and ultimately changed the way people perceived themselves and their relationship with the world. For most humans of the 15th century, the notion of Earth as ball of rock was nonsense. The whole of Western, natural philosophy is undergoing a sea change again, increasingly being forced upon us by the experimental findings of quantum theory, and at the same time, towards doubt and uncertainty in the physical explanations of the universes genesis and structure. Biocentrism completes this shift in worldview, turning the planet upside down again with the revolutionary view that life creates the universe instead of the other way around. In this paradigm, life is not an accidental byproduct of the laws of physics. Biocentrism takes the reader on a seemingly improbable but ultimately inescapable journey through a foreign universe (our own) from the viewpoints of an acclaimed biologist and a leading astronomer. Switching perspective from physics to biology unlocks the cages in which Western science has unwittingly managed to confine itself. Biocentrism will shatter the readers ideas of lifetime and space, and even death. At the same time it will release us from the dull worldview of life being merely the activity of an admixture of carbon and a few other elements; it suggests the exhilarating possibility that life is fundamentally immortal. The 21st century is predicted to be the Century of Biology, a shift from the previous century dominated by physics. It seems fitting, then, to begin the century by turning the universe outside-in and unifying the foundations of science with a simple idea discovered by one of the leading life-scientists of our age. Biocentrism awakens in readers a new sense of possibility, and is full of so many shocking new perspectives that the reader will never see reality the same way again.

*takes deep breath*
Akutagawa is in the opening. The fight between Fukuchi and SSKK is in the opening. Bram is in the opening (briefly, but he is here).
Bram apperance in the manga is in chapter 89. Right now in the anime, episode 4 ended and one point in chapter 55. There are 35 chapters that need to be animated to keep up with the information in the opening. 35.
For context, they animated 53 chapters in 3 whole seasons and I am not going to count the light novels at the begining of the seasons.
From what I understand this season is going to have 13 episodes. Minus 3 for the Untold Origins we remain with 10 episodes for the main plot. For 35 chapters.
So two scenarios: they rush it and cut off scenes or they make a part 2 (more likely to have scenario 1).
I really try to stay positive because I know Asagiri was really involved in this season but I am really disappointed with this situation...

The people behind the new A League of Their Own on Prime went into the project with one thing certain: The movie did not need a remake.
Co-creators Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) and Will Graham (Mozart in the Jungle) had both loved the original since childhood. For Jacobson, who also stars in the show, the movie had resonated immediately. A sporty kid who loved softball and soccer, she had never seen anything that so accurately portrayed what it meant to be on a team of girls. “I just wasn’t clued in to anything that felt like a more equal representation of what I was doing as a kid.” For Graham, there was a connection to his own athletic experience, too: He played Little League but never felt like he fit. “I wouldn’t have been able to say I was gay at the time. But I felt like I was very different,” he says. “And for me, there was something in the movie that gave this beautiful sense of, you’re allowed to be on the field, even if you don’t think you’re supposed to be there.”
But years later, rewatching the film while staying in a hotel, Graham found himself curious about the real history of the AAGPBL. It felt like there was so much more to explore: other players, other teams, other scenarios. The movie had one particular moment that hinted at the wealth of women’s baseball stories from the period even beyond the AAGPBL: When a ball at a Peaches game rolls foul, a Black woman watching at the fence steps forward to pick it up, and she’s invited to gently toss it over. Instead, she stuns everyone by showing off a rocket of an arm. Then she nods, steps back and is never seen again. The scene lasts all of 15 seconds. But it evokes a whole world of baseball beyond what’s shown on screen—a reference to the fact that Black women were barred from the AAGPBL, yet they played baseball, too. Three women even broke the gender barrier in the Negro Leagues in the 1950s: Toni Stone, Connie Morgan and Mamie “Peanut” Johnson. There was a history rich in material here that had not been in the original film.
So in 2017, Graham approached Jacobson about the potential to reimagine A League of Their Own for television—not a straight remake, not engaging with the same beloved, impossible-to-imitate characters, but taking the setting and joyous spirit of the film and using it as the basis for a totally new project. “We immediately started talking about how the film didn’t need to be remade,” Jacobson says. “Instead it was, well, if we’re going to do this, it has to be really showcasing the stories that were not in the film.” The possibilities were invigorating. But the pair didn’t want to take them on without Marshall’s blessing.
They were able to meet with the director before she died in 2018. And they were pleasantly surprised by how she opened up the conversation: She told them her original cut of the movie was four and a half hours. She fully understood there was more material here—enough to fill a television series—because she had tried to use so much of it herself.
“There was so much that she had wanted to include and so many stories that she wanted to tell—including the stories of Black women who went on to play in the Negro Leagues—that she was glad there was going to be a chance that those stories might get told,” Graham says.
They soon dived into research. And in watching everything they could find, combing through archives and speaking to the remaining living players, they realized there was another vein of untold stories here—the LGBTQ women in the league. None of them had been out publicly in their playing days. But there had been several of them. (In 2020, Netflix released a documentary called A Secret Love about AAGPBL player Terry Donahue and her wife, Pat Henschel, who had been together since the ’40s but did not come out to their families until 2009.) The showrunners found these women and drew inspiration from them.

Fic Authors Self Rec
Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you’ve written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💗
Tagged by @shadowtriad! I cannot do five fics of the same fandom but I hope y'all have fun with the ones I got. This goes approximately in order of how much I recommend them.
In General
Do you like angst or hurt/comfort? Do you want to sit there and rotate your blorbo in your mind with me? Is there a chance you have a niche blorbo?
I'd say my typical fic is drama shot through with an edge of humor, or vice versa - after all, real life has ups and downs everywhere, big and small. I love writing about family relationships, grief, and banter and tomfoolery. I also have a major soft spot for cuddles and small cute things so I squeeze them in whenever I get a chance.
Our Family, An Ascension (Destiny, 175k and counting, incomplete)
The current longfic, continuing the trend of each longfic going over the past one's word count.
Eido, daughter of Misraaks, is used to doing things on her own. Growing up with a single father doing everything he could just to put food on the table, you learn that kind of thing. Misraaks, in turn, loves his daughter more than anything, and while he's endlessly busy as the Kell of the House of Light, he's there for her as much as he can be.
When unrest during the Endless Night reaches a breaking point and Eido dies, everything shatters. House Light fears they will never reconcile with Humanity. Misraaks finds himself lost facing a future without the only family he has.
Just as he starts putting the pieces together, a lone Eliksni and her bonded Ghost wander into the City. She becomes the first recorded non-Human Guardian, torn in all directions at once. Her people, whom she knows nearly nothing of, welcome her back as Eido the Scribe, the Daughter, the Apprentice, the Friend, the Savior. The Vanguard, who understand her in ways no other Eliksni could, encourage her to cut ties and free herself from expectations she doesn't know how to navigate, to become her own person.
What's a dead girl supposed to do?
Broken Open Revealing Hollowness and Vibrance (Hollow Knight, 155k, complete)
Apparently managed to get to second most kudos in the Hollow Knight tag while I wasn't watching! So uh, there's a solid chance that people have read this. Ah well. I still like it.
After the Infection is destroyed, Hornet's dead kingdom lurches back to life. She must tend to her ailing sibling, rally the people into a new form of government, one less dependent on the gods, and come to terms with her life.
Over and over, she finds places where the Little Ghost made their mark. Over and over, she finds one more thing she must grapple with. Those who are lost and those who are found, friends new and old, even the trouble of beginning bug puberty again after an untold amount of time in stasis.
The only way they will pull through this is together, and together they will make each other stronger.
Elegies, Memories, Things That Never Were (Hollow Knight, chapter length varies, each chapter is complete)
A ficlet collection, not a single fic, but if you want something to read without biting off an entire novel, this one's for you. Snippets of various scenarios I think up starring many different characters. Heed the author's notes!
My Whumptober 2021 Tag (Various, all complete)
Do you like suffering? (With some comfort still but hey the title's the title.) If you're reading my stuff... yeah probably a little bit. These feature short ficlets revolving around the prompt and some of my favorite things - physical and certain kinds of emotional pain. This one features stuff that usually doesn't see the public eye, such as one of my original settings (not a fanfic, but hey. It's the one with the Diver), and some "you need to be multiple headcanons deep for this" setting things. Including both of my headcanons for Eido's bio-parents getting a couple ficlets. Absolutely watch the warnings.
We Are Tenno (Warframe, 51k, complete)
An oldie now, but in my heart, still a goodie. A change in pace from my usual narration - this one's an epistolary story, told via entries in Mag's journal. Oh, and also a setting where warframes are sentient separate from their Operator, though regular, Prime, and Umbral warframes handle that bond and Void energy in general differently.
Probably the goofiest of my stuff, and definitely the goofiest of the longfics. While it has more serious moments the same way the others have silly ones, it's hard to escape shenanigans when you're a bunch of terrifyingly tough biomechanical war machines in a symbiotic relationship with a magical teenager. Especially when you add in personalities like Frost Prime, bullheaded dumbass extraordinaire, and Limbo, local math nerd with chaos for a middle name. Even Stalker himself can't avoid getting caught in it.
Let's do five writers for five fics! @ruthlesslistener, @publiccmenace, @actingwithportals, @banyanas, and @dedicatedfollower467, if y'all wanna rec your fics, go ham!

Mega Man A Live? Love to hear it, since jel got Mario and I did Disney.
Okay, so- There are so many scenarios, but I'll just ramble so-
First idea- As an Additional LaL chapter- This is going to sound absolutely stupid, but hear me out here:
In Megaman ZX, there's a thing called "Model W." It was once a human/cyborg, but hated so much that it's will continued over 100 years later. Therefore, it has the ability to corrupt and control anyone who feels too much hatred near its remaining fragments. At this point in the story, humanity is still trying to recover from the messes it made, so... hatred isn't really hard to find. The protagonist (either Vent or Aile) almost fall to them because they have Issues regarding the death of their family.
Each of the "Chosen Ones" have a different Model that enhances their powers, and choses a wielder based on... something. I have my headcanons but I won't say anything that can be taken As Fact. Anyway- One of them, an old, forgotten one, that's optional- is called Model Omega. (Or just Model O).
So. My absolutely dumb idea is that Model O ends up with the Not Protagonist (Vent if Aile is secected, and Aile if Vent is selected) and is a usurped Odio incarnation. Model W basically took their place- sure, Model O wants to bring about untold destruction, but it's Model W that has the Hatred.
The Protagonist is still the Protagonist, but in the background with be their twin occasionally helping or fighting them, and would probably not be able to help in the final fight due to it being too much of a risk to fight Model W with the amount of hatred they have. So- Protagonist fights Villain, they end up in the final chapter, and discover what was originally meant to happen to their twin. Free Emotions.
2. Second idea- If we're doing the Live A Live but all Megaman:
Okay, the last point I spent too long on, so I'll try to keep this brief-
The protagonists would be: Blues (The first android- trying to escape his creators to keep his free will), Rock and/or Roll (Modern Day- Helper Robots willing to battle), Quint (Close Future- A wondering robot trying to find it's purpose in a time that seems out of place), X (Unknown Future- A pacifist forced to fight- the fallen hero), (MM)Zero (Distant Future- An amnesiac trying to rebuild and protect those left, modelled after an old hero), Model ZX (Far Future- A support Model trying to find it's next wielder), Volnutt (Furthest point- A Carbon searching who lives a simple life, trying to collect minerals long past humanity's extinction), Lan Hikari (Parallel word- A human trying to train with his companion to became The Strongest(TM), and Geo Stelar (Digital World- A youth granted the ability to see aliens who needs to fight them off).
...I swear I'm not making these up. But I am bending the plot to suit the LaL format-
Anyway- I was thinking of, in this scenario, Sigma would be the Fallen Hero, but then I realised that X was the ideal choice. Originally, he was going to become the villain of the Zero series, but I won't go into Details. In this scenario, (MM)Zero doesn't meet X until the the Final Chapter, with his current one being focused on rebuilding from the previous war.
So in this scenario, X's lost memories in the Bad End remain lost, and all he remembers is the worst side of reploids. Because of this, he decides to maintain peace for humanity at any cost, all while he's believing he's the hero.
...I'm only just realising how much context this is missing. I'm so, so sorry.
3. Third idea- I will sum this up in one paragraph because I should probably stop:
Lumine from MMX8 is one of the Light Side Incarnations. His desire for paradise and belief of superiority would work with it. Including the idea that he and his model are the only ones with "free will" when it looks like they're the ones walking a destined path.
Anyway- Thanks for giving me permission to ramble! If you made it this far- Thanks again! And sorry if it didn't make a lot of sense, but it was fun to type about!

ORIGIN
[PIRATE] You grew up wishing for a life of Freedom and thought of no better way to achieve that than by raising the black flag and striking it out as a Pirate! Though you will be hunted down by those who fly the Marine's flag, it's a small price to pay for the freedom that you now possess. Hopefully you have the strength to keep what you love beside you.
RACE
[HUMAN] All across the seas, humanity can be found in every nook and cranny. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from the normal to the outright bizarre, with heights ranging from four feet to thirty, and even multiple elbows on their arms. Honestly, it would be easier to name all the body types that don't exist.
LOCATION
[SHELL TOWN] A small island with a sizable marine base. While the only thing of note is the crazy Marine Captain ruling it like a dictator, if you’re willing to wait a short while, two strangers will eventually deal with that problem entirely and after that, they’ll simply head out. Maybe you can join them.
PERKS
[EPITHET] In a world of kings and legends, one must have a title of their own in order to stand out from the rest of the common rabble. You have a simple epithet that embodies who or what you are, is easy for people to remember, and causes those who hear it to feel awe, respect, or fear, depending on your reputation.
[A PIRATE’S LIFE FOR ME] And what a life it is! To travel these great blue waters, going from island to island, never knowing what adventure lies just beyond the horizon. You seem to benefit greatly from this, as no matter where you go, you will run into opportunities for great adventures, their rewards just as great as the effort you put into accomplishing them. You can of course toggle this on and off, but why would you ever do that?
[CHAOTIC FREEDOM] You are a pirate, one who has embraced their freedom and has endeavored to be the biggest headache around. This desire for freedom of yours has manifested itself in a chaotic manner, making it nearly impossible for you to be predicted. Even the greatest users of Future Sight would only get vague glimpses of you before their vision ended. And that part about being a headache? Well, it seems like the plans of those around you always tend to go awry whenever you're involved, often in the worst ways possible if they're your enemies.
[DIVERSE HUMANITY] Despite what you may think, there are an untold number of various offshoots of humanity, which you can be a part of. You've got the Long-Arm Tribe, the Long-Leg Tribe, the Snakeneck Tribe, you've got people with horns, third eyes, multiple legs, technicolor hair, even those who are just a few feet shy of being giants themselves. Of course, you could just be a regular person if that sort of wackiness isn't your thing.
[FIGHTING STYLE] An immensely useful skill on these dangerous waters, you are now skilled at any fighting style of your choice. Whether you wish to fight with only your feet, with three swords, a bizarre martial art, or just be a street brawler, you can definitely kick some ass. You will start off as an adept, but with an additional purchase you would be considered a master. This can also be purchased multiple times for different fighting styles.
[VETERAN SAILOR] In this world, where the sea is an ever-present entity, it helps when one knows how to traverse it. You are now a master of sailing any type of water-based vehicle. Whether it be a dinghy, a junk, a galleon, or even a submarine, they are all vessels designed to traverse through water, and under your guidance they will cut through the waves to witness a thousand sunrises.
[ADAPTIVE MINDSET] Those who cannot adapt to changing times are doomed to fall behind and get left in the dust. This is not a problem for you, for regardless of whatever scenario or complication you come across, you can quickly adapt to it and come up with some sort of answer to surpass whatever stands in your way, or at the very least, survive.
[CAT BURGLAR] Pirates are the most famous brand of criminals around, but not the only kind, as you can no doubt prove. You are now skilled in all kinds of dirty tricks, even being able to spot such things whenever others are using it against you. Throwing sand in the eyes or pickpocketing a few wallets is the least of the mischief you can get up to.
[HAKI TRAINING] While much of this world is more scientific than it seems, that does not mean the spiritual is useless. Capable of turning your will into a weapon and shield, you have mastered the basic uses of Armament Haki and Observation Haki. With Armament, you can reinforce yourself or objects and can bypass the defenses of those thought untouchable. With Observation, you can sense the presence, strength, and emotions of others. With time and training, you would be able to project your Haki without a medium to attack others from the inside or see into the future to such an extent that were you a Logia, even the might of Armament could not touch you.
[WILL OF D] Ah, so you count yourself a member of that infamous clan? Those natural enemies of the gods, the D's, are all said to possess the luck of the devil. Indeed, it seems like you've inherited that luck, for so long as you work towards a goal, no matter how difficult or seemingly impossible it is, fate will always conspire for you to succeed. Another aspect of the D clan is their inability to be controlled by any force they don't allow. Much like them, it's difficult for you to be mind controlled, and most manipulations are outright ignored.
[SILVER TONGUE] Humanity's greatest advantage has never truly been their physical qualities, whether it be strength, speed, endurance or vitality. Instead, their true talent lies communication, in their ability to speak and convince others to join their cause. And like the greatest of men, you find yourself possessing a powerful charisma, one that could charm and convince others, attracting them to flock to your banner with ease. Should you back up your talk with action, then you could quickly gather a truly massive and loyal following in no time.
[SURGICAL STRATEGIES] Not everyone can simply rely on pure luck, but you’re one of those who can create your own luck. Your masterful plans are intensely precise and intricate, able to reach years, or even decades, into the future with little chance of failure. Only the most random or chaotic of variables could throw off your schemes, and even then, you can still find a way to use the chaos to your advantage to achieve your goals.
[SIX POWERS] A superhuman martial arts style primarily utilized by the Marines, a master of this bizarre style is said to have the strength of a hundred men. Hardening the body to become iron-like, relaxing the body to act like paper in the wind, poking with the force of a firearm, kicking the ground hard enough to dash at speeds that can’t be tracked, kicking with enough force and precision to turn the air into a blade, and kicking off the air so hard that it gives the illusion of flight. These are the powers offered to and with time and training, you will be able to combine them together and perhaps, once mastery is achieved, a Seventh Power shall make itself known.
ITEMS
[BASIC GEAR] Well, you can't exactly start your adventure with nothing! You are now in possession of a set of custom designed clothes, along with two finely crafted weapons, a pistol and a sword.
[FLAG] Among the seas, everyone bands together under notable flags. From the Yonko to the World Government to some small-time pirate crew, you can't get away from these symbols. Now, you are in possession of your very own. It is designed to your own specifications, and it could be that of a faction you are a part of, strongly agree with, or your own personalized Jolly Roger.
[DEVIL FRUIT ENCYCLOPEDIA] It cannot be understated that there are so many Devil Fruits that can be found in these seas. It’s miracle that anyone can actually tell them apart from each other. But with this handy-dandy book, that won’t be much of a problem for you. Not only is this encyclopedia filled with entries and pictures regarding every type of Devil Fruit, it’s also chock-full of handwritten notes showing you unique and clever tricks on how to utilize and combat them. Nifty, huh?
[ARMORED CLOTHING] Not everyone is content with just wearing their ordinary clothes into battle, preferring something with a bit more durability to it. With this, not only are the clothes of your own custom design, but it’s also capable of resisting low-caliber gunshots as well as slashing. As a bonus, you’ll find that this set of clothes will even repair itself over the course of a day.
[LOG POSE] With how strange this world is, there is no question then as to why a tool like this is so invaluable. A different and special kind of compass, a Log Pose is used in place of regular compasses to traverse the first half of the Grand Line due to compasses not working properly in such a... unique locale. It does this by locking onto an island’s unique electromagnetic signature. After this Jump, this Log Pose will point you into the direction of interesting places or where special events may be occurring, guiding you into the direction of adventure.
[NEWSPAPER] No matter who you are, the world does not revolve around you. A million events are going on at the same time, and it can be hard to keep up with all of it. Luckily, you've subscribed to a newspaper that lets you know all of the most important events from across the world, all delivered in the morning. The writers do seem a bit biased, though...
[MEDICAL KIT] It's a general rule of thumb that you're eventually going to get injured on these waters, so it wouldn't hurt to be prepared. This high-quality medical kit has all sorts of bandages, medicinal drugs and herbs. It’s usually enough to stabilize most wounds that aren’t outright serious.
[SAVINGS] Money makes the world go round? Not entirely true, but money is nevertheless still quite the important and useful commodity. Thankfully, you’ve got around 500,000 Beli to do with as you see fit! Of course, you can purchase this multiple times for more money.
[UNUSUAL WEAPON] So you weren't content with just a pistol, sword, or your own fists? Well, if you want to be that way, then this is your option. Made from high-quality materials, this can be anything from a fancy dagger to a portable cannon, even a brick on a string if that's your choice. So long as it's physically possible, you can probably get it.
[TRANSPONDER SNAILS] There are no phones in this world, only Transponder Snails. You gain one for yourself and each Companion you have, with all of the snails looking like snail versions of you and your Companions. Simply tap the snail on the head, state the name of someone with another Transponder Snail, and enjoy talking to them from the other side of the world. Beyond that, they’re little more than simple snails with strange features. Strange but nothing out of the ordinary here. As a bonus, you also receive a small but thick book revolving around the Transponder Snails. With this book, you can learn how to breed new snails and modify the ones you already to grant them new features such as projecting images and videos.
[SEASTONE UPGRADE] Perhaps the basic weapons of this world are not enough for you and if so, there’s this. With this, you may upgrade any weapon in your possession with Seastone, increasing its durability and rendering it capable of nullifying the abilities of Devil Fruit users, regardless of whatever fruit they consumed. For ranged weapons, you’ll receive a replenishing stock of ammunition imbued with Seastone. Beyond this Jump, this upgrade to your weapon will even allow it to strike any opponents and objects that would normally be intangible or immune to ordinary weapons.
SCENARIOS None
DRAWBACKS
[ROMANCE DAWN] Well, it seems as though you've caught a certain someone's eye. That's right, Monkey D Luffy has decided that you're an interesting enough person that he wants you as a member of his crew!
[BEFORE THE BEGINNING] Of course, not everyone wants to start off with the beginning of the story, being much more interested in the prologue. You can start anytime in this world’s history you want, from when Shanks gave Luffy his straw hat, to the height of Gold D Roger's reign as the King of the Pirates, to the time of the original Joy Boy and even the Void Century nearly nine hundred years ago, all the way back when the Shandorians first colonized Jaya.
[FILLING OUT THE STORY] In a world of adventures, what’s the harm of experiencing a few more? At your discretion, you may incorporate any and all filler or movies into your adventure here. Help infiltrate the stories G-8 or have fun at an island-sized Casino Ship!
[EXTENDED STAY] There is so much to see within these grand waters, so much so that you could not possibly experience everything that it has to offer in just ten short years. Thankfully, you can now extend your time here by an additional ten years with each time this option is taken, though you will only benefit from the first five.
[HUNGRY] You are someone who is defined by their gluttony. After long periods of exertion or a fight, you almost immediately start craving enough food to make up a horse. That’s not hyperbole, as that would just be a light snack compared to your actual meals.
[PAIN SPONGE] Much like the eaters of the Dark Dark Fruit, you now soak in more damage and pain than before, nearly twice as much as before. It is certainly going to be a problem if you’re ever in an extended fight, and Goda help you when you end up stubbing your toe on something. This can be taken multiple times, increasing the damage and pain to three, four, even five times what you normally would have, though you will only benefit from this four times.
[TROUBLED PAST] Not everyone has the best of childhoods, their past filled with pain and torment. It seems that you suffer from such trauma, the scars still fresh and leaving you shackled to the past. It may take a while to heal, for the scars to fade, but it will never leave you, most certainly influencing some of your choices.
[CHAOS MAGNET] Why oh why do these things keep happening to you? Getting roped into political plots, being stranded on a crazy island, massive monsters that have rarely been seen, there is no end to your string of horrid situations. It just seems like all the craziest stuff and the worst kind of trouble are attracted to you, and nothing you do will let you escape this never-ending insanity.
[WANTED] Well now, it seems as though you've made more than a few enemies, or just made too big a name. You can now say that you've got a sizable bounty on your head. Whether it’s the World Government or an independent faction, you are now worth at least 100,000,000 Beli. Alive, or dead. You can take this drawback multiple times, though you will only benefit from the first five.
ENDING
[A NEW ADVENTURE] While this has been fun, there are other worlds out there just waiting to be discovered! You receive a miniature of the Thousand Sunny in a bottle.

It's Fictional Throwdown Friday!
This Week's Fighters...
The Terrarian vs The Hunter!
Conditions:
End Game Versions of both. Childhood Beginnings Hunter is restricted. Speed Equalized.
Scenario:
After defeating the Moon Lord, The Terrarian begins looking for other worlds so they can find more gear. In their quest, they wind up opening a portal into the Hunter's Dream. Hoping to keep the Chaos plaguing Yarnham from spreading to other worlds, The Hunter attacks The Terrarian in order to close the portal.
The loot they got from beating the Moon Lord is even stronger still. When you're powerful enough to beat gods who can destroy stars, you're powerful enough to do damn near anything. The Terrarian is far more than a simple Minecraft clone. They're in a league all of their own.
Analysis: The Hunter
Yarnam is a rotten little town full of a rotten little people... and then it got worse. No matter how much they may protests, it was not the machinations of Gods that brought ruin to this place. It was what these pathetic, opportunistic people did with those Gods that damned them. It's fitting that the only way to escape such a place is to become a God yourself. Or, failing that, become what hunts them.
The Hunter's origin is ours to interpret as we see fit, though it may as well not exist at all for as changed as they are now. They went to Yarnam looking for a cure to their terminal disease, and they got it. In exchange, they are conscripted into The Hunt and made to hunt the beasts that roam Yarnam and protect what little that remains of the people there. Though it seems they're the only one trying anymore. As one of the Hunter's colleges said shortly before turning into a bloodthirsty monster, "you'll be one of them sooner or later".
Perhaps "bloodthirsty" was too apt a phrase, seeing how the Hunter actively weaponizes theirs. The Old Blood is what gives The Hunters their power and The Hunter ends up guzzling a lot of it by the end of the game. Furthermore, they can turn their own blood into fuel for their power, or even absorb the blood of their enemies for this task. This is made all the more impressive when remembering that blood tends to drive irrevocably mad when consumed and used in the way the Hunter does, yet they themselves go through it by the gallon.
When they aren't drawing on enough blood to drown Count Dracula, The Hunter gets their resources from The Hunter's Dream, a pocket reality ruled by the Moon Presence that the Hunter can freely teleport back to so long as they have a lantern. So long as they are under contract for The Hunter's Dream, they will be freely revived upon death as the Moon Presence rewinds time to revive them.
Even without this safety net, The Hunter has a plethora of abilities to fall back on. They can freely kill ghosts with any of their weapons, as well as constant get stronger through the constant absorption of Blood Echoes. They can read memories with a touch and see the outlines of other hunters in parallel worlds. They can heal themselves by countering an opponent's landed strikes, but their most notable aspect is their immense willpower.
They're grasp on their sanity is genuinely incredible. They can freely fight and kill Great Ones, beings whose mere presence drives people into a feral madness. While most people who learn about Great Ones are driven into an animalistic Frenzy, the Hunter themselves is unaffected. What's more, while most Hunters struggle with the constant urge to transform into a beast, this Hunter can not only resist that urge, but can transform at will and maintain complete control of themselves while doing so. They've also been known to tank electric bolts, walk through active lava with ease, can walk around in poison pools with ease, and shrug off acid. Even without their immortality, the Hunter is incredibly hardy.
Don't think they're lack for offensive capabilities though. The Hunter frequently duel wields swords and guns to great effect, freely capable of bring all of the above and more to bear down on their opponents with their various swords and guns. The Shaman Bone Blade mind controls enemies to their side, the Crown of Illusions dispels illusions, and Boom Hammer creates minerature explosions. Notably, the Bloodletter is capable of driving every foe it touches completely mad. Forced to process information it simply can't understand, the mind fails and the body explodes in a shower of gore. And of course, they'll get plenty of opportunity to use it as they summon other Hunters to assist them.
The Hunter has fought and defeated some of the most powerful Great Ones the Pantheon has to offer. This includes Rom, who was actively keeping the moon from getting closer to the Earth. When Rom died, the moon nearly blots out the sky, generating a kinetic energy of 11 yottatons in the process.
Source:
The people of Yarnam can sleep easy, what few remain of them anyways. For the Hunter is here to slaughter their nightmares.
Matchup Mashup:

Throwdown Breakdown:
First thing's first, the stat gap. While both fighters have defeated people who could move moons, The Terrarian's moon took only 3 seconds to approach the Earth, whereas as The Hunter's took 24. This is a pretty big difference, as it's why the Terrarian's feat is in the Ninaton's range while Hunter's isn't. To contextualize, 1 Ninaton is worth 1000 Yottatons... and Hunter is only 11 Yottatons.
The funny thing is, this means exactly jack shit. The Hunter can just come straight back. Throwing yourself at impossible odds over and over is Soulsborne MO, The Hunter wouldn't even blink after getting obliterated the first time. This fight would end the same way regardless.
So with both a big strength gap and endless resurrection in mind, what can these two do to each other? Both of their kit counters out, as each largely resists or can just tank/revive from whatever the other can throw at them, one thing stands out in both of their arsenals. The Bloodletter on the Hunter's side and the Clentaminator on Terrarian's. While you could argue for Terrarian's mind resistance could shrug off it's mental effects (which I don't entirely buy. It drives you to madness because you can't comprehend it and nothing in Terraria works that way. That's why I didn't use Childhood Beginnings Hunter for the record, because I didn't want them to ein just by standing there t-posing), it making the Terrarian's blood explode would definitely be lethal. Similarly, The Hunter has endured similar corrupting effects to the Clentaminator, that weapon specifically corrupts them down to their very soul, which really wouldn't kill them, but it would irreversibly alter them. So, who hits the first shot.
And that's the bullet that puts Hunter down. Bloodletter is a melee weapon that Hunter has to use to hit someone who can freely fly, teleport, and turn invisible at will, while dealing with up to 4 summons they can't hit and whilst dodging a storm of bullets. Yes, The Hunter can summon other Hunters to lighten the load, but the Clentaminator would still work just as well on them too. Neither fighter really starts with their win con, so the two would at least get a good back and forth going, but Hunter ultimately just can't compete with Terrarian's versatility.
So the Terrarian beats the Hunter. Somehow this victory feels... Hallow.
The Winner is...

The World Before #4: Divine Flesh
Tumblr media
A short entry - some thoughts on the Fled God. all entries -> #worldbefore
4.1 Fate of the Fallen
There is very little to be said about the lost god of Farum Azula. As previously established, they were vessel to the Elden Ring (assuming Marika is representative of the past condition), the city’s literal fall from grace being a result of losing the god and it’s ring.
Eventually, the Elden Ring ends up in Marika’s hands – she either knew the Fled God’s location or the ring passed along some other hands across the untold eons.
The first idea seems more reasonable; there’s little evidence that any society besides Farum (past) and Leyndell (present) ever held the Elden Ring. Placidusax’s title also implies a singular Elden Lord in the pre-Erdtree age as opposed to being one of many.
4.2 Wings, Horns and Tails
Today, I'm going to push an idea that the Fled God fell to the world beneath and is/became the Crucible. But first, let me address the timeline. A common idea is “Crucible First” (CF) – ie. Crucible predates all else, and is the source of life. This is a fair interpretation, but I have some issues.
For one, the Erdtree is derived from the Crucible, the Erdtree’s life is also tied to the Elden Ring (see. Erdtree doorway carvings which show it rooted in the ring). When the ring was shattered; the Erdtree set seed, expecting its own death to follow (see. Golden Seed). Given that wild beasts pre-date the Elden Star, the Crucible cannot be the origin of all life (even though the ENG descriptions seem to suggest it).
One suggestion is that the Elden Star struck a pre-existing Crucible tree, ‘ordering’ it into the Erdtree. Ive painted this scenario in the past, but I don’t particularly stand by it any more. For one, this scenario not easily reconciled with the Farum Azula society; if they had the Elden Ring then the Erdtree should have sprouted in their time. One could argue that these things simply take time, but certain statues strongly imply the Erdtree is an intentional creation and not a natural growth phase of an older tree (see. Crucible chapel statues).
4.3 Divine Flesh
So, what is in favor of Fled God = Crucible, aka. “Farum First” (FF) timeline?
The combined Crucible aspects (wing, horn, tails and fire breath) suggest a draconic whole. In CF timelines, this is taken to mean dragons are the Crucible’s first fruits. Instead, FF timeline suggests the reverse is true – Crucible aspects are draconic precisely because the Crucible itself was derived from a dragon-like being.
The Crucible is associated with gold, albeit an older form of ‘red-tinted primordial gold’. This colour is also associated with ‘homeward yearning’ (see. Gilded Greatshield). Seems convenient for a lost god who held the Elden Ring.
It explains the Crucible’s association with devolution and holiness (in ancient times) – to have aspects of the Crucible is to inherit some of the primeval Farum God’s form.
The Erdtree is commonly personified as an entity with its own will (see. Wrath of Gold), it’s not simply a manifestation of Marika’s power.
All this frames the arrival of the Farum peoples in east Caelid as a search for a missing divinity. And more importantly, Marika's ascension as an old clerical family seizing direct control of their society's divinity.
This is where my personal opinion ends.
As stated in part 1, the reason for publishing this stuff now is that the recent Vaati video more or less states this theory as well (albeit in a more flesh out form). I highly recommend that if you’re interested.
----------------------
This is all for today.
TLDR: The Fled God is the Crucible
next entry - Fate of the Farum peoples
