Hey y'all! This question came up when I had family visiting, and I am genuinely unsure of how common this is

#the person behind the yarn #I always have a deck of cards in any bag I carry with me #before I had a purse it was in my yarn project bag #before that in my school backpack #now that I have to take a purse when I leave the house for carrying emergency meds reasons #I have a deck of cards in there in case I'm ever bored somewhere and want to pass the time #and I was out with family and pulled out a deck of cards and they were very surprised #I do want to look up the instructions for a few more two or three player card games though #I mostly default to playing Speed and that's kinda unfair to play with kids #well okay maybe not unfair in general but A. I am very very good at that game* and B. the kidlet I was playing with was not familiar #with how the facecard numbers work #so I had to slow down a lot #(*when I had the deck of cards in high school Speed was usually what I played and I got a LOT of practice lol)

I've been rewatching daredevil and oh my my, it's even better than i remembered, this show is so criminally underrated

so the multimedia approach to “statements” or “cases” this season is SUPER interesting for a variety of reasons. the first being that we get to explore the horror of the tma world in new and exciting formats which is fantastic. the second: THE IMPLICATIONS.

because in tma the tape recorders are a stand-in for the web and the story it weaves, right, but they’re also a sign that Something Is Watching. and we are now witnessing the story of the OIAR through not only tape recorders but several other means… and the same is true

i mean very clearly jon and martin (AND SOMEONE ELSE DONT THINK I DIDNT CATCH THAT THIRD NAME) are like. in the computers. so the natural conclusion there is that they are the ones watching and creating the story for us. because also… this all starts when sam, who has a mysterious connection to the institute, starts working there. very very far from a coincidence. jon and martin and their ties to the archives are definitely involved

that being said. i think there is definitely still another force at play here. whether it’s directly linked to the fears, or the mysterious third voice, or whoever the fuck started the OIAR in the first place…. we shall see. colin is also definitely a character to pay attention to because he KNOWS this system better than anyone. he knows there’s something out there. i wonder if he has any idea what.

this isn’t exactly anything revolutionary esp with only two episodes out but im just. thinking thoughts. in conclusion. the formatting is plot relevant bc this is a tma spin off and EVERYTHING is plot relevant.

here's a little life update! i think you guys deserve it after my absence that lasted longer than even i expected it to last ;( i am very sorry about that. i miss everyone here and bangtan so much, you have no idea. the reason for all that is that for the past months i have been going through a lot of things and changes in my life. there were good and bad things happening, time flies extra fast, days melt into one and i didn't even notice the past half a year pass. although i think my absence was unavoidable in these circumstances i just thought that you guys deserve to know what's been up with me for the past months haha i have received a lot messages and reminders that people remember about me and that they miss me and i just want to send all of you my biggest apologies for leaving you for so long with no response, as well as all my love and gratitude! 🥺 i think i've been always fairly transparent on here so if anyone wanted to know more I'll leave some more details in the tags but basically I just hope that soon i will be able to become more active again and respond to messages ❤️❤️❤️ i hope everyone is doing great 🥰

I think part of the issue is the setting is dreamy its soft and floaty and things arnt Right #but the first thing that happens is a guy loudly boasting about how much hes going to enjoy sexually assaulting his deuteragonist #hes lying. but Toi'uhla doesn't know that. The people ze is choosing to sacrifice zerself for dont know that. #the child whos experiencing the fear of death for the first time doesn't know hes bluffing either. #and the entire time theyre on a boat thats floating in empty nothing in a universe that has no stars left. #So much of making a tangible Threat like that hit is slowing for a moment and describing the ugly details of like #existing. as a physical person in a physical world. This horrible thing is happening and while it does the wind is messing up your hair #That sort of thing. #But there is no wind. there is no water. or rain. Toi'uhla's sense of smell is almost non existent. so ze cant think about the body oder #of that many people in that close of quarters. #And all while this is happening. i have to set up that these are two alien species with distinct cultures and Very different perspectives #on what is happening. Lordakai Senior is the one who lead the raid that killed Toi'uhla's sire and zer siblings. #But ze only knows the name Lordakai. bc for Zer it is completely reasonable to assume that the two Lordakai's are the same guy #Koita are long lived. Toi'uhla has never had reason to learn how to tell how old they are #Lordakai jr is absolutely riding on his dads name. but he doesn't know his dad was a privateer #So like. Theres a lot of shit happening in a weird setting #With two characters that need to Mesh while both putting up complete fronts. #and it needs to set up the stakes and themes for the rest of the damn story. #qnd its just a lot man. I love this project. i love these characters. but there's so many moving pieces bc theres had to be to make enough #Stuff to fill out the long spaces where they're just. on a pirate ship. being bored. #im probably over thinking this #blehgh

I like having joined a book fandom that's still new and fresh cause we get to nerdily bond as we devour a release of a new book in the series and I get to see all the theories and discussions and memes in real time as opposed to years later when everyone else knows how it ends so I have to block the fandom bc of spoilers. It's a feeling I haven't had since a teenager bc as of late I drag my ass into a fandom like a decade after its hayday and miss all the fun stuff

But it sucks ass that I am no longer as weirdly and eerily patient like I was as a child and the nine month wait for Heavenly Tyrant to come out is driving me crazy

#cake mania #flash #my first time management AND restaurant game #back then i didn't like it much. it was annoying how slow the oven was and i thought the cakes besides the brown round one looked dumb #the frosting machine was cool though #replaying it now i think there's also the issue that it's just boring #most restaurant games that actually feature the meal prep part will do something to keep you on your toes and amp up the difficulty #new snacks. new flavors. new meals that need several steps to cook. things that need restocking every now and then. #cake mania has nothing. it's just cakes and more cakes. if you don't buy any bonus machines you're stuck with the same four flavors. #there are bonus toppings but you gotta buy these on your own too #also it doesn't have a clock to show you how much time is left #the sequel fixed that but not the boredom #the art is very nice though i'll give it that

Idk I didn't see dogboy Bor'dor theories as reductive or a punchline. I just thought it made a lot of sense and liked feeling in on the joke Utkarsh is setting up if that's the case because I'm not usually someone who gets the joke (certainly not early) and it's just fun. I think it's a great character concept. I don't need the story to be about that. It's just not that deep I guess.

#It's really trendy right now to make fun of people who are going along with the idea #Which I know is targeted at people who refuse to take a story at face value and who very often do this with multiple characters #Like they refuse to engage with what's in front of them and make up something new and I get that can be frustrating to watch #But idk man I saw the theory and it held water for me and I liked feeling like I picked up something before 92 episodes had passed #It's really hard for me to get a 3d view of characters for like a really long time if I ever do #Spotting a possible concept felt like a shortcut and made me feel a bit less slow #Kind of sucks that the (admittedly understandable) response is just 'oh you're all being stupid' #Maybe he's not a dog #In which case I'll be glad to go along with the story presented #It'll be good either way #And I know that making fun of people who do this as a trend isn't the same as making fun of me #But my fyp and such feels kinda mean about it #I think the important distinction is the willingness to be just as content if a thing isn't true #But in the meantime it's just fun #Not an indictment of how 'boring' it would be otherwise

the worst part of stardew valley is Spring, Year 1

#talkies #like. great game i love it a lot but. spring year 1. always sucks. its SO SLOW and agonizingy boring #any time i stop playing for a little while i wind up making a new farm and stuff cus i forget what i was doing earlier and i get stressed #when i start playing againa nd everythings a mess. so i make new farms and get bored VERY fast #im trying to play without using the mods i installed. as in no autowater or teleportationa nd stuff. watering plants suck so bad #the starting equipment also sucks it takes like 15 hits to get rid of one tree and 15 hits to kill a slime and there are SO many levels #in the mines i gotta clear out and iron is hard to get early in the game and. its just kind of a hassle to start over #which is so dumb too. why am i making rules for how i play. i hate watering plants it takes forever. autowater is my best friend #the main reason is actually that i never actually made sprinklers and i wanna make and use them. but w autowater its a waste of resources
