Perhaps some have wondered where the second raven is, as Odin is known to have two ravens. In this short film, I will explore this question. You haven’t really been paying attention to how much time has passed. You’ve been enjoying being curled up in bed with Viik as he tells you all about the book he borrowed from Vex, his deep voice filled with enthusiasm. The story was something about a murder mystery plot and a haunted castle, and he let you read it after he was done with it. You have yet to finish it, but he seemed so excited to talk about it, so you asked him what his favorite part was.

He has a habit of jumping around from plot point to plot point, sometimes getting distracted by details he remembers midstory, but you’re quite content to let him continue uninterrupted. There’s something so beautifully pure about being here with him, arms around him, limbs tangled together, watching his hands punctuate his story as he does his dramatic retelling. It’s a soft and sweet kind of love to just be content here surrounded by the sound of his voice. You wonder how often he gets the chance to just let his thoughts and words run free like this. You make a mental reminder to let him do it more often.

“Okay, so, the butler did the first murder but he was actually possessed by the ghost of the previous owner of the castle that was-,” he gasps and covers his mouth, but you hear a muffled, “Oh Ancestors… I just spoiled the whole thing. I’m sorry…”

“That’s okay, keep going.”
