Villain Cynthia au dump yippee
everyone is fucked up in their own way, but Cynthia is the only one who’s snapped and decided to do something about her misery
right after becoming champion, Cynthia’s grandmother’s illness became a lot worse, and eventually she passed away. Since Carolina was Cynthia’s only living relative at the time, Cynthia took it extremely hard
it doesn’t help either than Cyrus, her close friend, just stopped talking to her as well a few months prior (he was forming team galactic). Aaaaand to top it off, Diantha dumped her (thank you, mom carnet for that). That also means Cynthia lost Sycamore as well, since he’s related to Diantha and both of them felt weird around each other, especially since Cynthia and Diantha’s breakup was very messy.
Cynthia refused to become too close with her elite four. She’s fine with talking to them and occasionally getting drinks together, but other than work, she doesn’t involve herself with them.
while Cynthia was exploring turnback cave, she had an encounter with Volo, where the two made a deal to take down arceus and create a new world. Instead of the scar over her eye that she got from giratina like in my regular AU, it’s a scar in the shape of arceus’s symbol.
Volo also has the ability to possess Cynthia’s body. It sometimes leads to fights over who gets control
Cynthia’s eyes are a darker, warm grey, whereas Volo’s are more cold and lighter. The eye colors change depending on who’s in control. The difference is noticeable if you’re face to face, but from afar you can barely tell.
Originally, Dawn was supposed to be sent to Hisui, but bc Cynthia and Volo are a huge threat to arceus together, Dawn remained in Sinnoh to stop Volo and Cynthia, while Lucas was sent back in time instead. This caused a split in the timeline.
Cynthia and Cyrus both teamed up after Cynthia tracked him down. Cynthia could cover up Team Galactic’s schemes (to an extent), where Cyrus could provide the tech and resources. Both yearned for a new world, but for different reasons. Plus Cynthia was going to kill god.
In the distortion world, Dawn chose to tag along with Cynthia. Dawn fought Cyrus while Cynthia “fought” Giratina. The satan worm is basically a family heirloom, and Cynthia just said she caught it to hide the fact that it was already in her possession.
I have this showdown in mind where Dawn goes up to spear pillar, seeing Cynthia already up there, about to make a new world. This is after the main game is completed, but Dawn doesn’t win against Cynthia. On spear pillar, they have an argument, where it’s revealed Cynthia was working with Cyrus, but he went off track and did his own thing. I imagine Dawn is upset and says that she won’t let Cynthia destroy the world, to which Cynthia laughs and says “I don’t need to destroy this world. I only need to make a new one. I’m not going to let you stand in the way of everything I’ve dreamed of.” The two begin to fight, and Cynthia tells Dawn about how she lost everything. And wants a world where she can bring back what she lost. I imagine it goes something like this
“You don’t know what it’s like to lose everything.”
“But you have everything, Cynthia. You’re the champion, you have fame and glory. You have your pokémon by your side and friends who would-“
“I don’t have any friends left! They’re all gone. Each and every one of my pokémon have felt the pain that I’ve felt. Being the champion means nothing when you’re sitting on a cold throne with an empty heart.”
It’s at this moment when OGtimeline!Akari’s spirit starts talking face-to-face with Dawn (since before she was basically a voice in Dawn’s head), being like “there’s no other option. You need to take her down.” Unfortunately, Volo becomes aware of Akari’s presence, and takes over Cynthia’s body. Cynthia doesn’t like this, and the two are fighting for control while Dawn watches. Eventually, Dawn (with Akari’s guidance) is fighting Volo (who won the fight for control)
That’s kinda all I got so far lmao
Cynthia is pretty manipulative. She gaslights a lot of people into thinking team galactic isn’t that big of a threat, including the other champions, who are concerned since their own villain teams are much more chaotic.
She also doesn’t feel a lot of emotions. She often suppresses them, and is unaware to hurtful things she may say or do. The fact Volo is an enabler and does not care for others doesn’t help either. Cynthia may say things or sound comforting, but she’s hardly ever genuine.
She has threatened the galactic commanders before. She heard Saturn and Mars talking about how she shouldn’t be with Galactic, and what are even her plans with Cyrus, to which Cynthia responds with her Garchomp up against their throats, telling them “my goals are my own. Know your place, I have no issues with having my Garchomp cut out your throats.”
She also had Jupiter beg for her life once. I mean scary blonde who’s sharing a body with the guy who summoned satan just to meet god, plus in this au she has an alpha Garchomp
A lot of her violent tendencies got worse bc of Volo’s encouragement
Cynthia herself has never murdered someone, but she threatened to. Volo may have also killed a grunt while possessing Cynthia’s body.
When Cynthia isn’t in control, she’s basically taking a back seat in her mind. She can see and is aware of what volo is doing, but can’t really do much to stop it. Volo can feel the physical pain that Cynthia feels if he’s in control, so often he’ll bail and give Cynthia control if she’s injured. He has a lower pain tolerance than Cynthia. However, Volo is mentally stronger than Cynthia. If they’re fighting for control and Volo wins, Cynthia basically blacks out and barely remembers what happens while he takes control
Cynthia has a habit of digging her nails into her arm. This was her strategy for winning her fights with Volo, since bro does not handle physical pain well.
Cynthia gets more unhinged the closer she is to her goal. She becomes much more irritable, and lashes out easily, before going like “sorry, don’t know what happened there haha”
I don’t know whether I want her to succeed and go to her new world, leaving Volo and Arceus behind, making it to her new world before collapsing and dying surrounded by Diantha and her grandma, or flat out dying in her final battle against dawn.
Cynthia wears black and white, with hints of red and gold. Black bc… what’s Cynthia without being a bit emo. White and gold represents arceus, but the black, gold and red also represents Giratina.
And here are the ways other people are traumatized in this au
lance is absolutely exhausted. He’s dealing with team rocket and Red’s disappearance. He also has family issues, since he’s so absorbed in this work, Clair refuses to talk to him.
Steven got badly injured in a cave in while looking for rocks. His dad also forbade him from marrying Wallace. He’s the only one who knows about Cynthia’s plan, and Cynthia offered to take him with her if her plan worked.
Diantha. Oh diantha. Her mom is very manipulative here. Marie solves her problems with money. An example of this is when she payed someone to fake DNA results to make it seem like Adrian Carnet cheated on her and had Sycamore, when it was actually the other way around. This also gives her the appearance of being angelic and kind, since she took in the kid that was the result of an “affair” her ex husband had. She also was verbally and mentally abusive to her kids, but she only was physically abusive to Sycamore, since if Dia had marks people would ask questions, but with Augustine, she could keep him inside and say that he was just very reclusive. Marie also manipulated/threatened Dia into breaking up with Cynthia, using manipulation and threatening to harm Augustine. Diantha is basically a puppet for her mom at this point. She also barely goes to Champion summits since her mom always has Kathi Lee (who usually is pretty chill in my regular au but sucks in this au) schedule something important on the same day. This is bc Marie wants dia’s acting career to come first, and also Cynthia is at these summits. Marie is still a bitch no matter what au. And Diantha was guilt tripped into using her mom’s last name for her stage name, even though her last name is actually Carnet. So every movie she’s in has her as Diantha Garnier instead of Diantha Carnet.

Crack Perfectworldshipping Alien Hunter AU that takes very loose inspiration from that rumor that XY had an aliens-themed plot and plays it for comedy cause I thought of it last night and have been giggling over it ever since.
Lysandre isn’t the villain, he’s just a super intimidating-looking very eccentric rich guy who really wants to discover the truth about aliens. He’s like a smarter version of Jack Fenton from Danny Phantom, but instead of ghosts it’s aliens. He made most of his money through a bunch of patents from failed alien hunting devices that ended up being super useful for other, more mundane things. Has a deoxys named Brinklehoff as his ace. Actually able to identify alien hoaxes pretty well and thinks stuff like Ancient Aliens is bs. The true villains probably try to frame him as the main villain at some point in the story, but that falls apart pretty quickly because no one believes Lysandre would do such a thing, no matter how scary he looks. Team Flare is basically a bunch of people who are either willing to put up with his goofy antics cause the pay is really good, or they’re alien enthusiasts too. No one knows where the uniform design came from.
Augustine is still Kalos’s Pokemon Professor but is also a Moon Prince sent to Earth to keep an eye on humanity, particularly on that alien hunter guy cause he might discover stuff he shouldn’t. They start dating a week or two after Augustine takes up his assignment cause Augustine found out he has a type and the type is scary-looking himbo with boundless enthusiasm and a heart of gold. Diantha(who is a Moon Princess) teases him endlessly over this and over the fact that Lysandre still hasn’t figured out he’s dating an alien. Brinklehoff knows Augustine is a fellow alien but doesn’t tell Lysandre out of respect, but still wants Augustine to tell him the truth eventually. Augustine feels terrible for keeping the truth from Lysandre but fear of rejection--either due to the lie itself or due to Augustine being an alien--keeps him from telling him. (In the end Lysandre doesn’t care that Augustine is an alien and loves him anyway, and he’s more worried that Augustine didn’t tell him the truth because he was scared of him than he is mad that he was lied to.)
Additional stuff under the cut:
AZ is probably the villain I guess? Maybe he’s trying to target the Moonfolk rather than going after the humans of Earth, and it’s going to cause massive collateral damage that no one wants. Could be a banished Moon King(rival dynasty to Kaguya’s) who has become resentful toward them and wants to get revenge. If Lysandre is still a descendant of AZ’s brother that’s an opportunity for some comedy cause the alien was you all along, Lysandre! AZ would be using either Xerneas or Yveltal to kick off the war between Earth and Moon, and would have to be stopped by the protags. Augustine would have whatever legendary AZ doesn’t have and show up in the finale along with Lysandre to stop him.
The protag friend group is basically in for the most “magical” Pokemon journey ever cause there’s Moon people and fairy tales(current Moonfolk royalty are descendants of Princess Kaguya from the fairy tale) and aliens and all this other fun stuff. Sometimes they’re helping Team Flare uncover an alien hoax(and unmasking whoever was trying to profit off of scaring people or stirring up trouble), sometimes they’re helping Professor Sycamore with Pokemon research(that also accomplishes some sort of Moonfolk goal on the side). Yes the kids find out Sycamore is an alien before Lysandre does.
Lysandre Labs and Lysandre Café have those names not because Lysandre has a big ego but because he’s really, really bad at coming up with clever names. So he slapped his last name on both of them with the promise to himself that he’d come up with something better later but then he forgot.
The traffic cone uniform for Team Flare actually came from Augustine. He wanted fellow undercover Moonfolk to see Team Flare coming from a mile away so he used his connections to Lysandre and some subterfuge to implement the uniform without anyone knowing. Lysandre came to HQ one day to find everyone in the uniforms and was deeply confused about where they came from. He has a reward available for anyone who can figure out how the uniform happened(with solid proof), but figures they were implemented for a reason so hasn’t changed them yet. Dress code isn’t enforced, but a lot of Team Flare’s members just think it’s fun to wear them and ham it up as much as possible while on the job.
Team Flare is actually pretty competent at their job most of the time(though they still can’t figure out that Augustine and Diantha are Moonfolk) and usually get called in when something weird is going on. They also keep tabs on social media and news so they can show up even before the public are aware that something’s up. Their science division is also working on better anomaly detection equipment. They end up proving that Ultra Beasts can appear outside of Alola.
Valerie isn’t an alien at all, she’s just really into cosplay. Team Flare keep having to tell people to shut up about Valerie because she’s not an alien and it’s really rude that they keep accusing her of that just cause they think she’s weird.
Olympia is also not an alien, but she’s a secret ally to the Moonfolk and helps them out on occasion. Also thinks it’s super funny that Lysandre hasn’t figured out that Sycamore is one of the Moonfolk yet.
Brinklehoff is named after the mnemonic for the 7 diatomic elements(BrINClHOF). It chose the name itself because it really liked the way it sounded and it loves hearing people say its name aloud. It also chose its own Poke Ball after it became friends with Lysandre, it picked a Dream Ball because the color was pretty.
The Moonfolk and Earthlings aren’t even separate species, they’re all humans. The Moonfolk just have their innate power awakened from the get-go while humans have to work to awaken theirs. All of humanity are aliens to varying degrees, but also not aliens cause if everyone’s an alien then there are no aliens.
Moonfolk were just regular Earth humans a long time ago(thousands of years ago) who were sent to the moon by Arceus to fulfill some arcane duty that would help protect Earth from outside threats. (Our moon is a protector, after all.) Their greatest protectors are given the title of Guardian Moon. AZ and his faction forsook their duties as protectors and instead made war on Earth because they saw earthlings as beneath them, only to be stopped by a combination of Moon and Earth forces.

Hello and welcome to Day 19 of "Let's Explore My Plot Bunnies"
Tumblr media
Another day, another zany MHA Crossover/AU that I wanna cross off my list of plot bunnies that I wanna explore. This time, I wanna make a Pokemon AU (it's kinda a fusion more cause Pokemon Regions exists still), where people either choose to go and become a Pro-Hero or become a Pokemon Trainer.
This unfortunately doesn't have a title yet, so ideas are always welcome. (I will update this when I find a title for it - temporary one or not)
The premise is more or less like this:
Midoriya Izuku is 4 years old when he is declared Quirkless. This puts a stop to his dream to become a hero, but doesn't stop him from being a Pokemon Trainer.
When Izuku turns 7, his mother gets a new job as a Professor Sycamore's Assistant in Kalos, so they have to move. Inko sees this as a good thing since she knows Izuku is being bullied for being Quirkless. People in this world still put more importance on the Pro-Hero job than on being a Pokemon Trainer, even though Pro-Heroes also use Pokemon as their sidekicks during missions.
And so, at 10 years old, Izuku starts his Pokemon Journey in Kalos together with his new partner, Shinx.... after he falls down the Lumiouse Tower trying to calm Professor Sycamore's Garchomp down only to be caught by a Mega Lucario. (Look, I LOVE that scene in the anime. My brain will not permit me to have a Kalos Pokemon Jouney of any kind without someone falling from Lumiouse Tower *looks at my other Kalos based Pokemon AUs* Yup, all of them include the scene)
Despite the ... surprising start to his jouney, Izuku ends up traveling through Kalos with two other kids: Reina, a more strategic minded trainer, and Akira, a spitfire who is ready to have Words™️ with whomever treats their pokemon badly.
Izuku challenges all the gyms in Kalos and wants to challenge Diantha as well, but Team Flare's plans of "destruction of humanity" interfere. As it is the norm, rather than Pro-Heroes doing their job, it is, in fact, Izuku and his friends that save the day/world. A fact that hammers down to Izuku that Heroes don't really do as much as they could to help people.
This makes Izuku and his friends determined to help people out more in their adventures from then on.
Four years and many other adventures later, Izuku and his friends are contacted by Principal Nezu with a proposition: the 3 of them will become new teachers at UA who need to teach the students how to not only battle and work together with their Pokemon, but also how to use items during battles correctly and how to take care of their pokemon correctly. Izuku is the Battle Teacher, Reina is the Items Use and Strategy Teacher, and Akira is the Pokemon Care Teacher. The three accept.
And so, their next few years will be filled with making training programs for the students, butting heads with All Might who thinks their training regiment is not suitable for the Hero hopefuls, dealing with villains who seem to be flocking towards UA because of All Might, and general chaos because this is UA afterall.
Details to note:
There will be time travel shenanigans involved here because Celebi/Dialga is a thing, and I wanna put Izuku and his friends through the Kalos, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova regions - with the Movies included. Meaning Jewel of Life is a thing here. Celebi is also kind of a jerk and pulls Izuku through time. Because of this Izuku meets people that in the present time are long dead and ends up saving maybe one of them *cough* Oboro *cough*.
Inko, during her stay in Kalos as Sycamore's Assistant, marries again (this time with Augustine Sycamore). This makes Izuku and Alain brothers and Alain is ready to throw hands with anyone that bullies Izuku.
Katsuki and Izuku’s friendship never truly healed since Izuku left early which makes Izuku being one of Katsuki's teachers quite problematic at the beginning.
As a teacher, Izuku is ruthless. He kinda emulates Aizawa in his examination of the classes: the students will choose one of Izuku’s Pokemon, and it will be a 1vs20 battle. If they can understand that they need to work together and impress Izuku during the battle, they pass and are allowed to take his class. (His classes are mandatory to pass into the 2nd year, so if Izuku won't bother teaching them, it means they already failed the year)
Since Izuku is not in 1-A, Shinso Hitoshi takes his place in the class.
Izuku's favorite class (out of all the ones in UA) is definitely 1-B since they grasped the meaning of his teachings from day 1 and just improved from there. The only one that Izuku is impressed by in 1-A is Hitoshi.
All Might (supposedly) has a Lucario here. What the public doesn't know is that his Lucario left him since he decided to be an idiot and shoulder everything by himself instead of relying on others. All Might's Lucario is the same Lucario that saved Izuku after he fell from Lumiouse Tower and later he also joined Izuku as part of his team.
All Might is not quite pleased with Izuku and his friends because he sees their efforts to teach about Pokemon Battles unnecessary and also is heavily against Izuku being at UA since he is Quirkless. (He wants Izuku - who is fragile in his eyes - away from danger. Who wants to tell him that Izuku and co. took on like 4 evil teams set on world destruction/domination ever since they were 10? Cause I won't tell him all that fast and neither would Nezu)
Since this includes time travel, yes, Nezu met Izuku when Celebi threw Izuku at the point in time where Oboro should have died and Izuku changed history by saving Oboro. Aizawa, Oboro and Hizashi became friends with Izuku during his stay in the past and Nezu was impressed by Izuku's intellect and ability to battle and decided UA should also teach something similar to their students. This is how Nezu played the long game to get the best Pokemon Battle teacher possible for his students.
All Might wants to give Mirio OFA, but Mirio seeks Izuku's advice about taking it. (Mirio feels like Nighteye will just tell him to take the Quirk and he wants the opinion of someone who doesn't know anything about this so he asks Izuku, without truly explaining the Quirk itself, just that it will make him stronger) Izuku tells him to his face that if Mirio feels like this is a good idea for HIMSELF then he should take it, but also tells him that it might make things difficult since he will have to learn, in a short period of time since he will graduate soon, how to handle the 2nd power and use it reliably in battle. Izuku also tells him that if his mentor (Nighteye) is the one that decided this for Mirio, he should confront him about whether he is doing this for Mirio's sake or for his own (Nighteye's) sake, cause Izuku thinks that Nighteye is too emotionally invested in Mirio getting a new power-up for his Quirk.
Reina and Akira are my OCs - remember their names cause I tend to reuse names for other OCs in other fic ideas. Personality wise, in this one, Reina is the more down to earth, calm, and collected girl who gets frustrated when things don't go according to her plans. She hates being late to anything since it derails her entire plans for the day. She loves stategy games and finds Izuku to be a very good opponent - be it in Pokemon Battles or in general games. Akira, on the other hand, is more hot-headed. He hates people who mistreat their Pokemon - whether they are aware of their faults or not. His parents own a Pokemon Daycare, so he is very knowledgeable about the ways in which you can raise Pokemon correctly and how to make sure their diet is well-balanced. Akira thinks Izuku is too nice of a kid and that he will be taken advantage of due to this nature of his. So he decided to tag along to make sure Izuku isn't going to be in too much trouble. Akira is the one that says, "I told you so," to both Reina and Izuku whenever something bad happens - especially if he told them that they will end up in said situation. He is also the one that bemoans the amount of trouble they get dragged into constantly - Akira is still not over the "Jewel of Life" shit; by the gods, Akira kinda hates Arceus by the end of that entire thing.
And this is about all I can think/remember about this plot bunny.
Honestly, having both Pokemon and Heroes together in one universe would make people think, "Oh, Heroes know how to handle Pokemon and use them in rescue missions." Yeah, sure. They don't. Half the Pro-Heroes can't truly handle Pokemon all that well. Especially because most of them never fought with Pokemon before. So Pokemon are relegated to "sidekicks that are meant to look cool but rarely do shit." This is why Lucario left All Might. He felt like his own trainer won't rely on him to help in battle any longer, and Lucario didn't want to be some wall-flower during a fight. So he left, and All Might is kinda disappointed in himself (as he should be). I want to explore the whole Heroes and Pokemon Trainer relationship in this, since in this world you can only be one and not both - at least not until Izuku and co. show up to mess with people's expectations. And making them teachers is fun since they can actually teach something useful rather that just teaching the kids how to punch someone's face in.
My ramblings aside, I hope you enjoyed this idea of mine. Did you find it interesting or not? Do you want me to go more in detail about it or not? Or would you be interested in what Pokemon everyone has? Let me know!
Hope you will have a great day/night and that you take care of yourselves!
See you tomorrow,

talking myself through some nano fic ideas under the read more
first list of fics i am considering for nano this year, just off a skim of my google drive
-Come With Me Revise (Title TBA / Cress/Siebold) -Phaesporia Legends Arceus Fic (Title TBA) -NamtaFlu (Draft 3 / Post-Apocalypse, Real World-ish, Pokemon Fic) -Terror In The Nightfall (HWAoC Fic / Would continue where I left off last year) -Delicate (Getaway Car AU) -Forever Winter (Phaesporia A N G S T) -Pokemon/Stardew Valley Fic (Title TBA / Phaesporia and a lot of other self-indulgent pairings) -From The Ashes (Failed HWAoC Timeline Fic) -Long Story Short (Purobbie Modern Day, slice of life AU)
So, for the first round of cutting:
I think NamtaFlu should wait. Given the album 1989 was so pivotal in me writing it in the first place, I'd love for 1989 (TV) to be out while I'm working on it.
Terror In The Nightfall-- I think I would too easily give in to how overwhelmingly large the fic is. Starting around 65k where I left off last year, and STILL being...barely into the main bulk of the fic...this is a huge fic, and I think I need to keep some distance with this fic. Maybe next year I'll tackle the other half.
Delicate-- As much as I want to work on it, I don't actually know it's a story that will take 50k words to tell. Cut for now.
Forever Winter-- I think...this is too much angst. I know I joke I'm the angst king, but like. this would be my magnum opus as far as angst goes. The shit I am putting Cynthia and Diantha through-- this requires a careful headspace, I think. So, no.
From The Ashes-- I don't know that I'm in the headspace for this fic. It's another long fic, that will easily span 100k words, but....idk. I don't think I have a solid enough outline to work with. I'm still planning on giving myself a dedicated week before November to plan even further, but I don't know I can get enough of an outline of this story in that short of a time frame.
Long Story Short-- once again, i don't know that i'm in the headspace for this fic. on one hand, i KNOW if i just go play some age of calamity, i'll be back in the purobbie/zelimpa headspace i need for these fics, but on the other hand.......that's work
SO.
that leaves me with: CWM Revise Legends Arceus Pkmn/Sdv Fic
Round 2:
Okay, so.
I THINK I have to cut the Come With Me revise. there's SO MUCH i'm changing from the original. for starters: it's going to be set in Castelia City instead of Lumiose. jean is no longer the obvious villain. Siebold has a fuck ton of his own issues. cress, his brothers, iris, and burgundy all have their own host of issues. (moving to a city with a huge housing issue really put this all closer to home for me rather than just being a topic i had to research a bunch for a speech class in college) siebold and diantha aren't besties which literally makes me want to cry So, as much as I have written for this fic outline wise, i think this requires a lot more research and work than i can give in about a week. so, for that. it's getting cut :(
SO.
Round 3:
given i still have plenty of time before nano even starts, i'm going to sit with these two ideas for the time being. i THINK i'm leaning towards my legends arceus fic, but who knows.
maybe i'll go back on everything i just decided and do one of the ones i thought i had cut lmao
we'll see where my brain is at in about a month

For my fantasy au, I had so many plotholes for my kanto/johto segment. It was just like a connect the dots, but the child can’t count. It was bad. I just now realize that all of this would’ve been solved if I didn’t forget Silver. Omg Silver is my saving grace rn.
Also, Kalos will probably next. There’s gonna be a slight change. Due to me starting to read a villain Diantha au on @cheemken, I will change some aspects. My thoughts are Kalos —> Unova—> Johto/Kanto. Alola wasn’t announced at the time. I want to incorpwrate Galar, so 👀

some basic things u should know i guess:
please be 21+ (cannot stress this enough im sorry)
possibly interested in a group rp, but mostly looking for onexone in a discord server i can create
nsfw welcome but not a requirement. characters must be of age i am not doing anything nasty thank u
OCs welcome! i prefer to play canon characters and i will try ocxcanon cus im personally ocxcanon trash. or heck if you wanna play a canon and i'll play an oc, we can discuss that too!
mostly interested in playing f/f ships (im gay irl lmao), probably m/m too. there are maybe like a whole Three m/f ships i like im sorry
i want to branch out with the characters i can play but i am most comfortable with Cynthia, Diantha, Elesa, Skyla, and newly Melony!! also my OCs bc i need to develop them lol
i have some plot ideas u can see under cut
also writing samples can be found at my old rp blog @cynthiacelestic
if any of this interests you, please feel free to add me on discord!!! i dont mind strangers adding me just pls let me know who you are lol
juliana#0099
plots & ships under cut :^)
ships i rlly love:
Cynthia/Diantha Skyla/Elesa Shelly/Tabitha (RSE verse and mostly pokeani verse bc those two are hilarious also i latched onto them as a kid and idk why) Melony/OC (mine) Roxanne/OC (mine)
we definitely are NOT limited to just these ships, just wanted to throw them out there for ideas i guess?? i really love cynthia/any female character i feel she'd get along with (nothing weird please and definitely not dawn)
and lastly here are some basic plots i feel would be fun idk
zombie au because i am basic. are the humans zombies??? are the pokemon??? I GUESS WE'LL FIND OUT
post-plot villains i am honestly just a sucker for villains
Diantha/Cynthia timeline where they meet because of Professor Sycamore. in this au diantha is sycamore's adopted sister, sycamore works under rowan and cynthia also interns for him while she prepares for the next League conference. diantha and lysandre come to visit for the summer and shenanigans ensue. i can elaborate ofc lmao
harry potter au bc im absolute trash im sorry-
faller au involving rse shelly & tabitha i dont have this one planned out too much unfortunately but i REALLY like the idea of mixing rse and oras together and fucking shit up
wallace & winona the gay ex-lovers lmao just kind of dated and realized oops! im gay! so am i! and here we are, no bitter breakup needed!! they are best friends. i figured we could do a lot with this but i like the idea of roxanne being the new League Baby and everyone has to take care of her but steven basically assigns these two to be Mom and Dad bc roxanne has a hard home life
shelly and tabitha post-rse aftermath au i have a whole elaborate thing planned out where they run away together bc they have no choice after the groudon/kyogre battle and are on the run......enemies to lovers im basic as fuck-
clair & cynthia working together with lance to take down Team Rocket but clair has a huge crush on a certain blonde oops
thats it for now!!! these dont make much sense except in my head but maybe they will spark some ideas idk

@kazhub asked:✭!!
Leon is ruthless when it comes to how he judges the other Champions. If he feels like someone is neglecting their duties or failing to do their job correctly, he will win that title from them and find someone better to pass it on to.
For the most part, he’s got nothing but total admiration for his colleagues. Cynthia, Lance, Red, Iris... they all do a wonderful job and they will always have his full support. However, when it comes to people like Diantha and her own self-admission that she treats the role like a hobby, he’s far less forgiving and more inclined to challenge their reign.
In the post-game this goes for Galar, too - if he ever gets reason to believe that his successor is doing more harm than good, he'll be back over there like a shot to take back that crown. It’s not beyond his capabilities to reclaim it, provided he had the necessary time to devote to the Isle of Armour and Mustard’s training regime. The new Champion was nowhere near strong enough to sweep Leon’s team, and he knows that under the Isle of Armour training he’d be pushed to his limits until he got to a point where he could secure that victory.
Leon just really, really doesn’t want to do that so soon after finally getting free of everything that drove his mental health down into the gutter, so it’d have to be one hell of a dire situation. I’m talking full villain AU level shit, the type of leader that’d be a danger to Galar if left unchecked.

(kinda) New Kids
aka I was unable to control myself and these guys happened. I’m not adding them to my Self-Imposed Challenge but they may get some headshots, I mean Nakhil already has one with his stepbrothers and Audouin may be getting one soonerish.
Just having this post so I can keep track since there’s like...a lot now. They’re more or less listed chronologically from slightly oldest addition (as in i thought of them almost immediately after typing up my challenge) to the most recent. Content in [ ] are specifically my meta thoughts.
EDIT 6/27/2021: Kiyo (formerly Seine)’s info here is now mostly outdated. Also belated but Gina’s info here is also outdated but hers wasnt really set in stone to begin with
Jason & Camille Pensée-Lino
Grant and Viola’s twins
Jason is the older twin, Camille is younger twin. Camille identifies as genderqueer
Kinda typical outgoing-reserved twin dynamic
[Had always been meaning to give Grant (and Viola) children since Siebold and Valerie have kids. Wanted all three of this trio to have kids that hang out and spend time together]
Both of them are more likely to be into artistic stuff, though they need more development in general.
Shank, Amber, and Umi Mizoguchi
Brawly and Roxanne’s children
Shank is the eldest son, his real name “Hagi” is in honor of Old Man Briney who passed away a year before he was born. Amber is their only daughter and her real name is “Kohaku” which is basically just ‘amber’ in Japanese. Umi is their youngest son and kinda happened on accident but they love him.
[Honestly all three of them just suddenly snuck up on me but I am committed, plus always need some more Hoenn kids]
Shank is into water sports but mainly surfing and sailing. Amber works for Devon Corp either during or after becoming the next Rock-type Gym Leader. Both of them probably have ties to the reformed Team Aqua and Team Magma, respectively. I still need to develop what the former villain teams are up to during fankid era
Umi is just baby but that can change if/when I decide to get more invested in this family
Daphné Carnet
Diantha’s adopted daughter
[I wanted a fankid to carry on the “Carnet” surname and didn’t feel like having Ilima and Mina’s kids change theirs and I had always been toying with giving Diantha a daughter]
She has a bit of a backstory already! A super tldr is she was a runaway from a bad household and had befriended Diantha a year or two before getting formally adopted by her. A bit like Emma’s background really.
Also is another reincarnation kid and there’s more relevant drama with the circumstances of her past life.
[The next four boys also have more detailed and unnecessarily drama-filled backstories]
Nakhil Ali-Campwright
Raihan’s son
[I just went wild one night and decided to throw some more drama at Raihan and also kinda wanted a younger sibling for Eric and George.]
He was the result of a one-night stand that Raihan didn’t know resulted in a baby until Nakhil’s mom was arrested and the young infant was found severely neglected. This all caused quite the scandal for Raihan.
[Also he kinda exists to have Milo and Raihan have something to bond over (aka raising a kid solo along w stress of a scandal) while unintentionally also feeding into Eric’s inferiority and guilt complex]
He does end up growing up in a loving family with his fathers and brothers! May need to develop him more but for now he’s fine as sweet baby
Seine Mandragora
Ryuki’s son
[Also another case of a kid that just snuck up on me. Though I can say it was most likely because I saw Ryuki’s actual eyes in the anime and thought it’d be a cute look on a kid of his]
He was the result of a fling/one-night stand sort of thing between Ryuki and a fan of his. Said fan was either engaged or married at the time.
Seine ended up growing up not knowing he wasn’t his dad’s son until at some point in his teens he gets caught in an argument with his parents in which oops its revealed. While the argument and drama does get resolved somehow he still gets curious and decides to meet up with his bio dad, Ryuki.
The two end up bonding like how they do in those films where the main dude suddenly becomes a father/father-figure to a troubled kid, but Seine doesn’t stay with him. They do keep in touch though.
[He doesn’t have much role beyond this little side-story and possibly encountering Astra, Hoshi, and Vivi during their Island Challenge. Possibly also ends up accompanying Chase during one of his travels in another region. Also definitely has strong affinity for Dragon-types so could do something there.]
Momo Ryouji
Lance’s much younger half-brother
[Really a result of me wanting to create a Lance kid but having trouble with the fact I don’t ship him with anyone and just didn’t feel like going the other routes I did with some other characters for this]
The result of an affair Lance’s late father had with a much younger woman, though the rest of the clan find out only after Momo’s mother dies as well. Lance’s mother knew beforehand, having met her while visiting her late husband’s grave. As much as she wanted to raise the boy herself she was also too old already. The other clan members wanted to get rid of him but Lance steps in to be his guardian.
[While a lot of him is still pretty vague and undecided I’m committed to him existing. Very tempted to have him be a sort of mish mash of Red, Green, Gold, and Silver’s traits, given that Lance also had experience being a mentor/father/older brother figure to those four. Plus like Hoenn I need more kids for Kanto and Johto]
Audouin Dulcis
Dulse and Calem’s son
[This ship has always been at the back of my mind because of how events go down in my au wherein they do get to meet and interact while in Alola. Read here for me rambling a bit about them. Anyway talking with @pokemon-legends-and-legacies and @pkmnomegaverse finally made me crack and give them a kid]
Fully taking advantage of the “bizarre alien biology/reproduction” trope for this. Specifically the current scenario is Calem just kisses Dulse’s hand and that is enough to acquire a copy of his DNA.
Dulse ends up having Audouin by himself, but single parenthood is the norm in their homeworld anyway and he’s already had experience raising Zossie (more as a younger sister but still) so he doesn’t really see it necessary to try and reconnect with Calem to tell him about their son.
Audouin takes heavily after Dulse in appearance and personality, albeit more expressive.
[Currently still going through the possible routes aka does Calem meet him or not and all the possible interactions with Calem’s other children, but so far the route appealing to me is where they end up meeting and Audouin and the Narcillard kids get along, in contrast to their not-Calem dads who can’t stand each other lmao. In any case, Dulse still mostly remains a single father but Audouin would drag them to Calem’s world spend time with his half siblings and other parent at least every four years after the initial meeting.]
undercut is the one kid in fankid limbo
Gina (short for Aubergina)
Korrina’s daughter
Mostly Im thinking I need more Aura capable kids and a Korrina kid would be cute, plus the top candidate for her dad atm is Wally but since I have him as Hoenn Champ if he was her dad he’d be a disappeared dad who didn’t even know he was a dad
Kinda really want to go the single mom route for Korrina
I honestly don’t have much reason to be attached or invested in her at all yet, maybe if a good dynamic with some of the other kids comes up or I make a better drama backstory that I would like, idk

How does the Pokemon cast of your Au enjoy Christmas?
I am full on Christmas spirit right now, so this ask is great!
And if the villains are mentioned as being friends with the protags, just... imagine that there was a redemption arc. Nothing to see here :)
Red adores the snow. He just doesn’t get cold, so he’ll drag Blue and Green out to play with him and the pokemon. Blue goes overboard on presents, buys Green something practical for her studies and Red gets something insanely overpriced but useful. Green gets the boys gag gifts, but always has something planned that they can all do together.
Ethan and Silver come to visit Lyra at her daycare, where she enjoys watching the baby pokemon experience snow for the first time. Eusine helps make cookies, and Lance will stop by at some point. Ethan gets him a cape with an obnoxious Santa and Deliberd design. Silver still seems surprised that they all get him presents, but appreciates it.
May is that one kid with booby traps to catch Santa - and Archie joins in. Brendan helps out with charity work. Steven and Wallace enjoy a quiet Hanukah  at home, and Maxie helps Birch to keep May and Archie out of trouble.
Cynthia keeps making “Bah Humbug” jokes at Cyrus, who still doesn’t get the whole “Holiday Spirit” thing. Dawn and Barry come to visit and the four of them go to look at all the Christmas lights. Dawn then goes to visit Lucas, and they make Christmas poffins for the starters.
Hilbert and Hilda are determined to show N the true spirit of the holidays, and Rosa loves to join in. Rosa’s the kid that still believes in Santa even after everyone tells her otherwise. Nate’s always busy, but makes time to talk to everyone over video call. Rosa leaves a present on her doorstep on Christmas Eve, and Christmas morning, it’ll be gone - replaced with some kind of science book and a bag of candy. No one mentions it.
Sycamore and Shauna team up to kill Calem in a snowball fight. Victor and Serena alternate if they celebrate in Kalos or Galar, but if they’re in town, then they’ll spend time appreciating the Christmas lights in Lumiose City. Calem’s present to Sycamore is signed “To: Sycamore August Dad Professor” and if Sycamore cries into Diantha’s shoulder about it, then that’s his business.
Guzma can’t get over how affectionate everyone is. Kukui and Burnet help him and Plumeria give out presents to all the Skull grunts, and then Kukui dresses up for the kids. Selene rolls her eyes at Kukui’s Santa costume, but smiles when she sees how happy Lillie and Gladion are.
Leon demands a giant celebration, and coordinates everything with the gym leaders and the kids. Hop and Gloria are always ready to sing carols, even if Gloria can’t sing to save her life. Bede, Marnie, Sonia, Raihan, and Piers are invited to all of Leon’s celebrations as well. Gloria and Serena exchange presents too, which makes Victor unbelievably happy.
BONUS: Lance also spends some time in Kanto’s forests - where he enjoys quiet wintertime magic with a good friend of his. He brings gingerbread, and she sings carols to all the pokemon in the forest.

Pokemon Au
N/: Alright, we’re starting off with this. This au (I have no name for it yet) works on some of the world building provided by the games/anime/manga to kinda synthesize it and make it more of, for a lack of a better word, a realistic universe (like the manga where, spoiler alert, several characters have been killed by both environmental causes and by each other and it is shown). It’s still a work in progress, so I might change how some things work or correct things I get wrong. Anyways, keep in mind this post is hella long, you have been warned.
The World:
Most of the regions remain the same, other than minor tweaks. Because this au is so far focused on the characters below, I’m mainly working on the Kalos region, as while I loved the xy games, the story really lacked details in some areas. I definitely encourage others to pose ideas for the other regions too, please, I’d love to hear from you guys. But anyways, here’s some world building stuff.
Changes to Areas: I’ll have a map drawn out eventually. But I wanted to include the Volcanion movie area, the Azoth Kingdom, and while I was looking at the regional map I noticed there are forest areas north and south east of the mountains that could still be considered part of the region. Hence west Kalos, where the setting is for gen six, is the main political/commercial hub and these two other areas are more closed off and reclusive for several reasons.
Kalos: This region, as shown by the war three thousand years before the game, and a war five hundred years before the anime with the azoth kingdom referenced in the volcanion movie, Kalos could be a very volatile and even admittedly unstable region based on its past. This region also didn’t have a professor until Augustine, as unlike Juniper he had to travel to get trained in sinnoh under Rowan (take that information for what you will, but for me it’s used to represent the instability based around 15-20 years before the xy series). Finally, like how it is implied in other regions, the Pokémon league is the political leadership of the area but there is still a royal family, they just serve more like a regional/national figure (which will be relevant later when discussing Lysandre).
Gyms: Eight gym badges are required to challenge the league (of course), however, there is usually more than eight in the region, based on local towns/populations, and they serve as defenders and local leaders for their communities, and have a higher responsibility of protecting the region as a whole (aka as seen in the ending of xyz).
Pokémon League: The primary council and political leadership, while the champion can vary drastically in age it is noted that the rest of the elite four always has at least one older and more experienced individual that can help lead, and in a normal scenario it is likely that the league was formed to a) create unity among the other regions to prevent further conflict between each other and b) organize a group strong enough to push back against threats that might arise. (In most cases this falls upon the gym leaders, likely the league gets involved as a last resort). The champions (Diantha, Steven, Wallace, Lance, Cynthia, etc) are chosen due to their charisma and likely are meant to be ambassadors between regions, mostly seen with Cynthia.
Legendary Pokémon: I mean this by the “god tier” pokemon, like the creation trio, arceus, yveltal and xerneas, basically any Pokémon shown to be able to communicate telepathically, (I’m definitely going to make a separate post about this topic but that’s for another time), can manifest themselves in a human like form. However this is very unlikely as it is shown that most of the legendaries really didn’t like humans and probably wouldn’t bother replicating their looks.
Humans: for the sake of keeping the anime/games pg of course pokemon aren’t outright killing people and other pokemon(lol but there have definitely been exceptions Jesus Christ), but in this au this can be explained by the idea that humans in the Pokémon universe are far more durable due to their exposure with pokemon (Ash getting thundershocked over and over again, trainers getting hit by stray attacks, resilience to fire, Meyer getting absolutely bodied by Zygarde and still being able to stand afterwards, etc etc.). This also plays into another concept (again something I’ll go more in depth in another post) that being exposed to a certain amount of certain types of pokemon have innate effects on their trainers.
Lysandre:
Look, we’re starting these sections off on the backstorys of these characters. Lysandre is referenced to very likely be a prince, a descendant of AZ’s brother due to both how he holds himself(plus his height) and the reference of sheer wealth Lys has. While I wouldn’t doubt he could’ve built himself from nothing, there are signs pointing that he is meant to be related to AZ so just as a note he and his family are relevant to Kalos for a variety of reasons. (I mean damn, his Japanese name is Fleur de Lis.)
Mier, Lysandre’s father and Sylvie, Lysandre’s mother, were members of the elite four until they eventually retire (Malva and Siebold take their place). In this au for the sake of it, despite the royal family not officially having control over the region, they still do what they can to look over it. Both Lysandre (and his brother Bastien that I’ll talk about later) are well educated and were, well, trained to be able to potentially take their place in the league. Lysandre didn’t really follow suit, instead founding his own research facility/business with the focus of improving Kalos technologically and making the region more accessible to itself. Bastien takes the role of actively representing the royal family, and is currently the king (despite that title meaning absolutely nothing). He also helps with facilitating communities, establishing relationships between towns, and reinforcing policies and proposing projects for economics first drafted up by the league.
Lysandre himself was very reserved and sheltered during his younger years. Their chateau, located in the forest area north of Geosenge, had very few neighbors. His family wasn’t really around that often due to his parents duty with the league and his brother residing mostly at the palace (which despite it being a museum it still has parts used for their average function... I might redesign it later on), but Lysandre spent most of his time with his childhood friend Augustine on his families ranch, up until the pair left to go explore Kalos (This time in the timeline Kalos, mostly in lumiose and the surrounding areas, is a dangerous place, due to a villain team that I’m working on.)
Lysandre was a very caring and an extremely generous individual (until later something so bad happens that it causes him to become a misanthrope. Referenced to be a bad event plus witnessing general human stupidity and greed). He was known for his love and admiration of life, human and Pokémon, and did what he could to protect it. (I still have some stuff to work out for the story during this time) He was willing to learn both the secrets of mega evolution and move based combat. He, alongside Augustine and the others, helped stop The Order of Midnight (the villain team, still a work in progress) from destroying Kalos.
After that, he establishes what eventually will become team flare (back when it wasn’t an evil organization and I’ll probably come up with a name for it later). He, with the help of Clemont (damn child genius), figure out how to provide lumiose and eventually Kalos as a whole with clean renewable energy. He is a known inventor and philanthropist around the region, he also took Clemont in as an apprentice up until Clemont took his father’s place as the lumiose gym leader.
Eventually something happens (still working out the details, but it will involve shadow Pokémon and maybe something with his brother), and Lysandre loses all hope in humanity. By this time and from his experience he hides his misanthropy very well, his friends notice something’s wrong but could never really pry enough to figure out what it really was, until events similar to a mix of the manga/the anime take place, (again this is a work in progress).
In a failed attempt to use the ultimate weapon the building collapses. Trapping Lysandre, who had direct exposure to the blast during the collapse, in and killing him in the process. However, because he used both xerneas and yveltal, became immortal (in a way were he can die but revives and heals /as long as he’s not impaled to something/ over and over again). Xerneas in an act of pity, as Lysandre helped her and yveltal when fighting the order, and an act of justice by freeing him from the debris and making him her champion to protect the world from those bent on making the same decision he did.
Despite his hesitation he also eventually reconnects with his friends, and through his service to xerneas rekindles his love for the world, despite knowing how unlikely it would be for the world to forgive him for his actions, but because the populace doesn’t know he’s alive he doesn’t really care as long as he could help and protect others, once again finding his purpose and his passion that he though he had permanently lost after ‘the event’.
(This is just a note, but as I scroll through sources I found that his misanthropy is also caused by his fear and his anger over his own shortcomings, as it is referenced in the anime and kinda in the games that his generosity was abused, and therefore holds himself to blame for not being able to help others because of his own blind willingness. It gives him character but isn’t something that isn’t easily incorporated into the timeline so I’m just putting it here.)
Augustine:
Augustine lived with his family (I’ll have names later, probably) on their estate/ranch, his father is a pokemon breeder and his mother is a pokemon ranger. Because of this, August grew up taking care of Pokémon to the point it became a literal second nature to him, and Pokémon are drawn to him naturally. However, even though he found that he was actually pretty good at both of his parents professions he didn’t really have a passion for them.
So as the years went on and he really didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life, when Lysandre proposed that he could come with him across Kalos he jumped at the opportunity. He was joined by a gabite, one that tended to give the family a really hard time but over time developed a really strong bond with him (at the cost of the smoothness of his hands /rip/).
He hates seeing Pokémon get hurt, but due to his background is a rather epic opponent in battle (he just says he’s weak to avoid conflict). But he is really good at caring for Pokémon after battle (hey maybe you can pay him back with a cup of coffee later or something). Instead during the journey he participated more in entertainment and performing and tried to avoid battling as much as he could.
However, when they get to lumiose (around the time Lysandre gets his third badge and they try to see if they can challenge Meyer) he discovers mega evolution when they encounter blaziken mask for the first time. This sets him on the path, after learning that Kalos has been without a professor for a really long time, to learn the secrets and techniques of mega evolution, (he later discovers that he is capable of mega evolving any one of his team, and the weaker members of the order built up quite a reputation for the man that could pull a super powered monster on you in seconds).
Meyer and Auriel also teach him about using pokemon moves, and how you can boost the strength of your own Pokémon (think like similar to ash greninja or az’s flotte). Once again he becomes quite a force to be reckoned with (and I’m considering making him apart of Meyer and Auriel’s team as a band of super heroes because hero Augustine is cool, okay?)
He also encounters a disguised Alva (the main villain of the volcanion movie to which they are unaware that he’s associated with the azoth kingdom) and finds out that mega evolutions can in fact be forced which a) terrifies Augustine, and b) motivates him to teach others the importance of having a bond with you pokemon if you’re going to have access to mega evolution, hence the entries on everything that goes wrong or the bad stuff that can happen with mega evolution (he discovered them from Alva.)
After the events with the order and through his own notes and research he is able to get a position under professor Rowan, leaving Kalos for a bit so he can go study in sinnoh. (If you mess with Augustine in the presence of Rowan I’m sorry but you’re hella dead, that man becomes a son to him.) Augustine also becomes a pretty well known coordinator in sinnoh, not really to the surprise of his friends but a surprise to the populace of Kalos after some of those details resurface a decade later.
(Not much is really changed with Augustine afterwards, other than making him even more of a force to be reckoned with and adding in some background details for him).
Meyer:
(Oh look one of my favorite characters) So Meyer was the lumiose gym leader, known for being one of the strongest in the region behind Olympia and Wulfric, and he could have become one of the elite for had it now been for the fact the he just wanted to settle down with his kids, his mechanic shop, and his super hero alter ego. He focused primarily on electric types and was rather difficult to get past for most trainers.
He was one of the major reasons lumiose was even inhabited during the issues with the Order, as he was a defender of the people and did his damndest to keep everything in order. Of course he is just one man, and even beat himself up over that fact that he couldn’t be everywhere at once to protect everyone.
He was also a single father, I’m not exactly sure about the circumstances, but after Bonnie was born their mother just wasn’t in their life afterwards, but he was able to raise his kids pretty well (he gladly accepted the help from his friends when he could, especially when they offered to look over the siblings so he could do his superhero stuff).
No one really discovered his identity other than his friends either because people just didn’t equate his sweetheart mechanic personality with the flying badass that is blaziken mask. His suit, unlike Auriel’s, is actually made by him. He’s not an inventor just because he didn’t want to draw attention to himself, but it’s very Ironman-esk in concept to he doesn’t waste time changing if shit starts going down.
He eventually joins forces with Auriel, another vigilante living in lumiose at the time, (maybe also Augustine after he returns from sinnoh) and they work togther to try and stop the order from causing chaos and destruction in Kalos.
Unlike Auriel he learned the process of using Pokémon moves by himself, that in combination with close calls with the order means he has a few scars, they’re primarily on his palms, lower legs, and torso. He tries to avoid that as much as he can because he doesn’t want his kids worrying about him over this stuff (but that plan didn’t work).
(100% Best Dad)

random thoughts on my pokemon magical girl/boy au:
the protags/rivals fuse with their pokemon to become heroes. it’s not rly like ash-greninja or mother beast though. maybe a bit more like su fusion?
their powers come from the legendary pokemon of the region in question, via these things called “hearts”, which are weird artefacts found at the sites where leagues are built. the champions (+ kukui and burnet) look after these and watch over the heroes. the powers are specifically handed out by talking electric rodents (plus a mimikyu that got hired bc togedemaru wasn’t around and silvally couldn’t hand the power to gladion itself).
geez this got long let’s put it under a cut
red = charizard, blue = blastoise, leaf = venusaur.
red signs his dramatic speeches. leaf and blue thought initially maybe he could try speaking with his charizard’s help, but he still can’t speak any human languages. fortunately he’s still able to trash-talk giovanni, who learnt sign language because you never know who you’ll be dealing with in his line of business.
also red accidentally caught the pikachu that was trying to give him superpowers bc he was like “wow a pikachu!! they’re rare!! let’s catch it!!” pikachu has never let him live this down.
ethan = typhlosion, silver = feraligatr, kris = meganium, lyra = azumarill.
silver got picked up by the spiky-eared and pikachu-coloured pichu bros first. they regret this decision right up until goldenrod when the character development starts kicking in.
lance: “why this kid though?” pichu bros: “well... he has a good heart deep down!! we just didn’t realise how deep down it was.” lance, getting out his #1 dad mug and a barbeque: “guess i’m going to have to handle this one myself.”
kris actually gets her powers last, they meet her in ilex forest with her bayleef.
may = blaziken, brendan = swampert, wally = gallade.
SORRY SCEPTILE. i love you but... can’t have two greens...
may loves this job way too much. wally is so determined to do this right. brendan... is just getting dragged along for the ride.
wally’s costume has a face mask designed to help his breathing as part of it, so he can stay active for longer than he normally could. it actually really helps his health.
archie and maxie are also getting way too into this. archie is enjoying being the big bombastic magical girl villain, and while maxie won’t admit it, he’s going very shiny-glasses-and-tch on the gang.
dawn = torterra, lucas = empoleon, barry = infernape.
barry has fire powers, arceus help us all. wait, this is partially arceus’s fault. fuck.
cyrus is your standard super fucked up why is he in this genre at all villain.
looker figures out who the trio are basically immediately, but promises to keep their secret so long as they work with him against the team galactic. they agree because looker’s awesome and fuck cyrus.
dawn very much enjoys using the move wood hammer.
hilbert = samurott, bianca = emboar, cheren = serperior, n = zoroark.
the nacrene museum affair is a complete disaster for n, who realises at the last second that the skull isn’t what they want, and then has to go magical boy mode with hilbert to get it back, which confuses the HELL out of the plasma grunts.
please imagine bianca punching ghetsis through a wall. it is a great image.
cheren thinks this is stupid but he LOVES his costume.
rosa = lucario, hugh = unfezant.
the first one is based on the pokestar studios first movie. rosa stars in a film about herself, playing herself, and almost no one knows. hugh and bianca die of laughter when they see it.
the second one... firstly he gets a pidove fast, secondly, that MASK. imagine it.
my apologies to hilda and nate. you guys are cool but i couldn’t fit extra protags in on this one.
serena = delphox, calem = greninja, shauna = chesnaught, tierno = clawitzer, trevor = florges.
they love this. they love this so much. it is the best thing that has ever happened to these kids. especially tierno. he quickly becomes known as the most graceful of kalos’s legendary heroes and he loves it.
trevor is in kind of an odd situation - everyone else has gender match-ups on their pokemon but he can’t. so technically “florges hero” is non-binary. it’s an interesting opportunity for self-exploration if nothing else.
serena would probably end up very usagi-like just for the joke in the names. meanwhile calem is a fucking ninja and he loves it.
shauna in a suit of armour. it’s so stupid. i love it.
moon = incineroar, sun = primarina, hau = decidueye, lillie = lunala, gladion = silvally.
LILLIE PLZ. GLADION PLZ. that’s just excessive??
sun and moon are twins. scary twins. meanwhile hau is robin hood. he just wanted a type advantage over his grandpa.
the plot would be some convoluted mix of sm and usum with necrozma and mother beast and all of that thrown in.
episode rr is the movie where they get all of the teams together. giovanni is like “???” when he sees silver. archie and maxie end up working together because if they don’t then this tiny blaziken girl will destroy them both. cyrus has now seen it all. ghetsis laughs at n being there until he can’t fucking find anyone because of all the illusions, also it’s not funny to harass someone who is beyond the point of caring about it. lysandre cannot believe this is happening. faba runs screaming the moment the big fight starts.
fwiw: lance = dragonite (he adopts like seven unruly kids in this mess), steven = metagross (probably shiny for the aesthetic), wallace = milotic (most fabulous magical mentor ever), cynthia = garchomp (if you actually make her transform you’re screwed), alder = whatever his partner was in the past (you never see him change form), iris = haxorus (tiny princess girl with an axe), diantha = gardevoir (bow down to the queen or get moonblasted), kukui = lycanroc & burnet = musharna (they found the heart so they have to deal with it).
the villains also generally manage to imitate these powers with varying levels of success. giovanni manages it but doesn’t enjoy it. archie and maxie do fairly well because their pokemon like them. cyrus thinks it’s a weird but useful tool. ghetsis... max frustration hydreigon... it’s not pretty. n obviously nails it. colress never personally tries but it’s an interesting phenomenon all the same. lysandre also does well because his gyarados actually does seem to like him a lot. lusamine should not have tried this with an ultra beast. guzma goes all street samurai with his golisopod and it’s AMAZING.

it's late enough at night that i can say opinions, right?
okay, so
i honestly don't keep it that secret that the 6th gen pokemon games are my least favorite, hell i outright said i don't think about them that much a little bit ago
i do want to emphasize that i do mean least favorite and not the gen i hate or even dislike, since i like all the main series pokemon games and always enjoy playing them
i just have more issues with the 6th gen games (yes i mean xy AND oras) then any other gen
xy is the easiest one to list these issues off of, since most of it has to do with terrible pacing both in terms of story and gameplay.
-the first like three gyms are decently spaced apart and it seemed like this game was going to have a nice slow pace where it might take a while to get to each gym but it was consistent and you had bits of story in between so it never felt like it was taking *too* long to make progress and then suddenly everything starts speeding up, you get less main story in between which results in the need to shove a bunch in at the end which means the build up to the finale was short so the payoff is very little. i mean it doesn't help that lysandre is a pretty easy fight anyways given that pretty much no one in this gen uses more than four pokemon
-speaking of difficulty, first time playing through i used the exp all for about half the game then switched it off when i was one shotting my opponents' pokemon, but it didn't really matter bc i stayed over-levelled for the rest of the game which just compounded the disappointingly easy lysandre and diantha fights
-i will say though that not using the exp all from the beginning does lead to the game having more of an average difficulty for a pokemon game (so, not that hard, but not too easy anymore) though lysandre and diantha still aren't that tough which sucks.
-i'm pretty sure game freak realized after this game that they either need to stick to only a couple main characters or really need to step up the amount of story to be able to handle more characters bc your "friends" in this game have really weak characterization. i know they're supposed to represent the different types of pokemon players but they should have cut tierno and trevor and developed calem/serena and shauna more, since those two are the closest characters to actually have, well, a character. and make calem/serena a bit more competent, again even without the exp all and without using mega evolution i don't consider the fights against them to be difficult.
-really i feel like sun&moon just improved on everything i had issues with in xy. the characters in sm are great, the story is decently paced (comparatively), it's actually kinda difficult but not too much so, overall the first gen 7 games were really satisfying to go into after this.
"but wait, kiera!" you might be saying, "you mentioned oras was on your least favorites too! but why???"
well, there's actually only a few points for why
-main reason: it's WAAAAAYYYY too easy. it has been a while since i played rse but i remember rse having mostly balanced difficulty, but i go in to oras with the exp all turned off from the beginning, mega evos not used bc they're cheap, and it was the easiest pokemon game i have ever played. which again, since i remember rse being fairly balanced, was extremely disappointing
-that honestly is the main reason why i'd say i don't like oras as much as rse, but nostalgia+the updated story does help oras still stay liked. they definitely fixed issues rse's story and villain motivations had and i will give points for that
-however i don't really like the whole mega evolution universe vs no mega evolution universe thing, it was really sloppily introduced and not something i'd ever thought i'd like being officially in a pokemon game - and then we jump to now, where i am very excited for the new au of sm, but i think that's bc it's being clarified that this is an alt universe from the beginning and it's not something hastily thrown in at the end. i still don't like how it's done in oras.
anyways that's pretty much it, my opinion on my least favorite pokemon gen.
my second least favorite gen is gen 5, which i may get into at another time but it's too late tonight and i already spewed out a bunch of my opinions so that's all for now
again, i do like all the main series pokemon games and generally enjoy playing through them, i just find the gen 6 games to be... less enjoyable bc of the above stated issues
EDIT: also i just want to add that this is just my opinion. if gen 6 is your fave gen that's great and just bc it's my least favorite doesn't mean you can't love it. i still like these games, anyways, it's not like i hate them or anything.

So I’ve been really thinking abt this ever since I rabbit holed into your blog, but Diantha could just mass manipulate the media because she’s so good at acting.
Also, if the champions were villains/all in a villain team, I could def see Steven and Diantha swaying the media because Steven’s a part of a big company. I also head cannoned that Steven picked up a lot of manipulation techniques from seeing his father win over certain deals or whatever.
Together, Diantha and Steven could manipulate the outside while Lance is in the inside, getting info on anyone who opposes them (This is mainly from the anime since I watched more of the anime than played the games, I take the anime as somewhat of my personal base for anything.). Cynthia could also do this too. She could also be the researcher for powerful legendary pokemon as well while Steven collects whatever treasure needed to obtain that legendary pokemon.
Idk about Alder tho. And Iris is just a child. Leon is just too pure for me in a way I could make him into a villain (I blame all the fluffy hc and Twilight Wings episodes for this), and I did not play Scarlet and Violet.
See right Villain Diantha is just so *chef's kiss*
We were robbed your honour they could've gave us the dopest plot twist of Diantha actually being the boss of Flare or the main big bad of XY but they're cowards cnmdnd
Can you imagine how dope that'd be tho, since Lysandre wanted the world to stay beautiful, youthful, all that shit, but c'mon the more you think abt it those are goals that'd align more w Diantha if she were the villain. Think abt it cndmdn if she's actually so conceited, but since she's an actress, no one ever suspected a thing. God the twisted irony of her being Kalos' angel, having this angelic persona, being one of the kindest Champions, but she's there planning the destruction of the world, wanting to recreate it to be the perfect world that she wanted, w her being the absolute ruler of it your honour pls do you see my vision chmsndmsjs
Still thinking abt villain Diantha until today😔
Anyways👀👀👀
I already have an au w the Champions as villains, you can check out the lil tag I have of it hahaha

what do you mean her carbink died in the villain au hello??
also do share about your thoughts on carbink and diantha, does diantha know that it became a diancie?
Yeah, Mom Carnet had it killed, really fed it to the Houndooms, made Diantha watch and God that really fucked her up
Imagine being 10y/o Dia being forced to watch your partner pokemon being bitten and tossed around by a bunch of Houndooms and you couldn't do anything or your mother will punish you too
And yeah, idk, that is one of the things that made her snap along w seeing Augustine get hurt too, bc when she saw Pa Sycamore hurt Augustine, she got reminded of the time her Carbink was killed, and she's not failing her brother too.
Ig that's just it y'know, bc normal Dia thought her Carbink had died and she did grieve abt it, she grieved abt her Carbink for years, until she became Champion, until she became an adult. But she also had people to help her grieve, had people to be there for her, she told herself that maybe her Carbink wouldn't want her to be stuck in the past, and finally she moved on, putting her Carbink's soul to rest after all these years
Whereas villain Dia grieved and never got anyone to help her. Losing her Carbink got her so paranoid, that she had her Ghost types be her eyes and ears on every corner of Kalos, in fear that smth might happen to the ones she cares abt too. I wanna say that's also part of her controlling nature, that's why she always likes to keep a close eye on Augustine, Geeta, and even Iris and Hau, bc she had lost her Carbink, she lost her beloved pokemon to someone so cruel, who didn't bat an eye as she killed someone, and Diantha deemed that as filth. And for that to not happen again, well, ofc she's gonna kill the ones who'll ruin her perfect world first. For her Carbink, for the people she loves, she swore she will rid this world of the ones she deems as unworthy, who taints their world of their own evil.
Anyways to the normal au w Dia and her Carbink, I do have a concept for this tho, bc I do wanna say that Dia's Carbink was the very first discovered Diancie. The first one to have mutated as one.
And like, imagine Dia and Augustine watching the news, some researchers found a Carbink that they theorized had mutated and became a new kind of pokemon, and like, them going how the pokemon calls itself Diancie, and Diantha's heart almost stopped
Diancie.
The name rang in her head like a mantra.
Diancie... That... That was the name she gave her Carbink.
