Introducing Hawthorn the Adventurer in soft vinyl!
Now available in the shop: Ngfiona.bigcartel.com
I'm starting with two colorways inspired by the various types of Chinese art I grew up seeing and being surrounded by, like ink paintings, hardstone carvings, ceramics, etc.
The first is Celadon Pearl, a pearlescent pale green; and the second is Glacial Jade (GID), a marbled mix of celadon green, translucent teal, and opaque white (these parts glow green). Since each of the marbled ones look so different, I've posted all of them in the shop listing so you can pick your preferred one (if it's available). The marbled one is limited to 20 pieces. They will ship out later this week.
Please excuse the low lighting but I think I found a cute spot for my @faunwoods gempod until I get it customized! Look at that lil' guy. What a cutie.
They're hanging out with some of my coins until I decide how I want to paint it. (Coins are from the @prismavision geomancy set and @theadventurezone (adventure zone x mysterious package company respectively.)
His name is written with the onomatopoeia for rattling bones, he's out for revenge, and now he's encased in a cute little bunny shell.
One of my favorite pickups of the last 5 years. This 8 inch tall Dunny makes an incredible centerpiece to an eclectic collection - which mine just happens to be!
Calling it a sofubi is a misnomer - the outside shell is hard gradient tinted plastic. Inside, the Dunny's skeleton and guts are plush. Covered in gorgeous stitch work, with macabre details like the X eyes and broken heart.
The final result is a beautiful figure that catches the attention of everyone that sees it. It's a stunning toy.
The Gashadokuro- or "Starving Skeleton" - is my favorite of the traditional Japanese Yokai. Even separated from the mythology, what's not to love about a giant skeleton?
