just finished the season WOW that was intense!!! 😭 i collected my thoughts as i was watching it too heres all of it: (spoilers ahead ofc!!! btw this is really long you were warned)

episode 1 (the blood moon):

• lloyd saying uncle is sooo crazy

• WU IS DEAD I SWEAR ON MY LIFE ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY NO MORE 😭

• can these ninja get pyjamas. please.... they had those in ns1 now they just sleep in armour 😭

Warnings: arguing, fwb to lovers, jealousy

There were no strings attached, so why did it hurt so much when Abby talked about her?

"Yeah she was kinda crazy, she wanted to handcuff me to the bed and shit - I wasn't into it." Abby explained while sipping on a beer in your apartment.

Little did you know, Abby was lying about the entire endeavor with Nora. She just wanted to see how you would react, make you jealous even.

And she succeeded, because you crossed your arms and leaned toward the opposite end of the couch distastefully, "That is pretty weird." It took more than you wanted to admit to not grumble.

Seeing you so defensive and with your nose stuck up in the air shamefully made Abby's heart leap in her chest. It was stupid how involved she got with you, because now - what was supposed to be another stupid hook up - turned into several late night booty calls, and now casual fuck buddies.

Before it was just, 'wyd?' texts at 3am, either both of you were drunk, or up stressing over homework. But as of late, you both would instinctually gravitate toward each other during the day. Walking each other to classes, getting something to eat together, even ending up going to parties together. This meant that those middle of the night texts were now fucking on each other's couch at 2 pm on a Wednesday.

And for a while that's how it was. More or less just you and Abby reaching out for one another to get a 'fix.' It was too easy and too familiar to want and branch out, at least that's what you told yourself. That was also the impression Abby gave you, because you used to laugh together at the desperate texts she'd get from old hook ups freshly after you two were done playing around in the sheets.

Until Nora.

Well, until Abby's story about Nora. A fable.

From your understanding, you two were on the path to becoming exclusive - possibly even dating, but this certainly threw a wrench in things. Honestly, a part of your heart broke over what she told you.

You glanced at the clock - 4PM. Was it too odd an hour to kick her out for 'homework' purposes?

"Hey uh, I got a paper I need to work on for my psych class." You reached for the remote on the coffee table and turned off Parks and Recreation.

"Yeah I get it, I can hang out here until you're done," then she glanced at the time, "You wanna get an early dinner first?"

You could just strangle her.

"Hm I would but I'm not hungry right now." You felt like you were scrambling to get her out, "And I'd be cool with you waiting but I'll probably be working on it all night, it's a pretty long paper."

Maybe it was the nervous tone in your voice, or the way you wouldn't make eye contact with her, but somehow she saw through your bullshit, "Oh yeah? And what's the paper about? Because you usually like to get dinner about this time."

Her words hit you like a frying pan over the head, "It's a research paper I've been putting off, it's like a whole semester long thing." Slowly you inched toward the front door.

"Uhm, okay? When do you plan on eating then?"

What was annoyance before, turned into anxiety, and now anger. Rage was beginning to simmer below your rib cage and in your cheeks.

"Probably around 6 or so. I'll see you later, I need to work on this." Your hand was on the door knob.

Abby stood from her seat and watched you with an arched brow, "You're being really weird. Did I do something wrong?"

"No just-" you we're getting upset, "I just want to get this paper done."

She started grinning, gradually approaching you like a lion hunting it's prey, "Doesn't seem like it."

Across from you she leaned against the wall and watched you teeter on the edge of seething. Her arms were crossed to show her muscles, a full fledged smirk on her face.

You didn't want to argue, you knew if you did you'd actually tell her what was nagging at you.

"You can show your way out." Then you left for your room.

Unfortunately, you only made it a few feet before she had your wrist and tugged you against her.

"Hey now - that's now way to treat your guest." It was evident in her voice she thought this was going in a certain direction, despite all your efforts to steer her the opposite way.

"Abby don't touch me!" You snagged your wrist away and frowned.

It seemed now she wanted to take you seriously.

"Okay you're definitely being weird. What's going on?"

"Just go Abby."

Tears began to form in your eyes, so you turned and headed for your bedroom.

She scoffed, "I'm not leaving until you tell me what the hell is wrong with you."

You stopped dead in your tracks. Jaw tense and tears brimming in your eyes, it would be an understatement to say you were frustrated.

"I'll call the cops."

She laughed. Your voice was meek and shaky.

"Listen, if I did something, just tell me. You're acting like a damn kid."

If you wanted to act like a kid you could. You wouldn't hesitate to scream and kick and throw yourself on the floor until someone called the police because of how much noise you made. Anything to make her leave.

"Are you jealous?"

Was she really that dense? No, she had to be doing this on purpose. There was no way she didn't think she was innocent.

"What an astute observation. Now get out." The rest of your journey to your bedroom was spent wiping away tears.

But you should've known better, because Abby was quick to throw herself in front of your door and keep tormenting you.

"Woah hey- are you crying?" She cupped your jaw and forced you to meet her eyes, but you averted her gaze, "Way to rub it in." You shoved her hand away.

Now Abby really felt shame. She didn't know it would make you cry, nor this angry. She just wanted to get a rise out of you, perhaps even test the waters on hate fucking.

Both of her hands held your melancholy expression now, "Y/n, hey, I didn't mean for this to happen. I just wanted to see how you'd react. Do you really think I slept with her?"

"What else was I supposed to think!?" You snapped, now sobbing.

"Shit I don't know? I thought you would get all jealous and then wanna fuck it out or something."

The words coming out of her mouth only fanned the flame behind your eyes. Beyond your miserable sobs was raw anger, and everything Abby did to try and tame it only exacerbated it.

Wriggling from her hold you tried to shove her aside to disappear into your room - the only thing you had been trying to do this entire time. If this continued any longer, you'd have a breakdown.

"Wait a second-" Abby reached for you once more and tried to restrain you against her chest, "I'm sorry, I know that was stupid."

You persisted against her, some of your tears wetting her shirt, "No shit!"

"Just calm down alright? I promise I won't do it again." In a desperate attempt to diffuse the situation she tried to wipe some tears from your wet skin.

"Abby-" you finally broke free," there isn't going to be 'again.' I don't want to fucking see you again! You're so oblivious and just want to use me for my body."

That seemed to strike a gnarly nerve inside her, because her brows dipped disdainfully and her nose scrunched.

"Are you - heh - are you breaking up with me?"

It was your turn to laugh, "Break up? Break up what exactly? You never asked me to be your girlfriend, every time you come over we fuck; there's nothing there! This is bullshit!"

"Oh! Oh so all those times I bought you dinner, and was late to my class so I could walk you to yours, and the countless hours we spent together laughing in bed was just nothing. Is that it? Is that the bullshit?"

This was the first time you had seen each other angry. You never thought you'd reach this point, truthfully you were okay with being fuck buddies and letting the label come naturally, but the nature of the argument had you expressing otherwise. You were afraid. Abby wasn't going to hit you, but she was a smart girl and knew what would strike you the wrong way as far as hurtful words. But you also had a few things up your sleeve.

"You never said otherwise. It's the same shit I'd do for my friends. As far as I'm concerned, we were barely casual."

"Are you kidding me? Is this a joke?"

"Oh- like you 'kidding' about fucking Nora?"

"Yes!" She was nearly as hysterical as you, "I already told you it was fake!"

You nodded, "Yeah, like whatever you thought we had."

She sighed out exhaustion, "Oh my god," and pinched the bridge of her nose, "What do you want from me Y/n? Hm?"

Reflecting her attitude, you crossed your arms, "Nothing now."

"Fuckin c'mon," she groaned, "Don't be like that, work with me a little bit."

After all this, she wanted you to be forward and honest? To suddenly come up with a solution and slap a band-aid on all of this? How were you supposed to think about any of that when knocking her front teeth in would feel so much better?

"How about you work yourself out of my apartment. I don't know what you're trying to hurry up and fix, but if you're scared you're gonna lose your fuck buddy then you should be."

"Stop saying that! I'm trying to apologize to you. If we were just fucking I wouldn't stand here and rip my hair out over you."

Now she looked completely frazzled. Her hair was messy, eyes red, chest rising and falling with her rapid breathing.

There was something that was going over your head, "Did you actually think we were dating?"

"You tell me." She deadpanned.

"Then why make up the stupid story about Nora?!"

She ran her fingers through her hair, "We've been over this. It was a dumb idea to turn you on. I already said sorry - can you please just get over it?"

Studying her features, you contemplated your argument. Matter of fact, you contemplated your dynamic as a whole. So much was brought up, more than you wanted to voice into the world, but it was too late to take it back now. Was it too late for you two? Was a relationship really a good idea?

There was one way to find out if she was really seriously about this, "Okay, I'll get over it, if you ask me."

A bit of your heart broke when you noticed how she was holding on by a thread, "Huh?"

You repeated yourself, serious in your gaze and jaw clenched.

"Wh-what?" Her eyes darted around your expression, "Do you want me to ask you out?" You didn't waiver, this was for her to figure out.

"Will you be my girlfriend...?"

It wasn't the most romantic, and the furthest from ideal, way to be asked out, but you accepted it. She sighed in relief and scooped you up in a hug, letting the tension naturally set, no further words spoken.

Bzz.

You both perked up. Abby slipped her phone from her pocket and let you read the message with her.

Unknown number: hey, been a while since we talked. What've you been up to? Busy tonight?

Abby: yeah I'm hanging out with my girlfriend

You smiled up at her and she planted a kiss on your forehead.

Unknown number: oh shit sorry, who?

Abby: Y/n

Unknown number: really? I thought you were just tapping that

Abby: uhm no?

"Do people think we were just fucking around?" You wondered out loud, watching as Abby blocked the number.

The blonde shrugged, "You did."

You clicked your tongue in disappointment and shoved her away.

"Hey! Don't be like that. I was just teasing you. Would dinner make you feel better?"

Looking over your shoulder at her, you carefully considered her offer.

"....let's go."

Abby chuckled and made her way back toward the front door, slipping on her shoes, "I have a few ideas for dessert then," her eyes lingered along your body.

You couldn't help but let your vision wander as well, "I actually like the sound of dessert before dinner."

"Oh yeah?" Her hand instinctively found your hip.

"Definitely."

I just watched Yang Jian, soooo.... we're talking about that today.

More specifically these a-holes:

Buckle up.

Known as the 4 Heavenly kings, the 4 Diamond Kings of Heaven, or Fēng Tiáo Yǔ Shùn (風調雨順; lit. 'Good climate'), these guys play a pretty big part in the Buddhist religion. They are often depicted on doorways, two on each side, and like many other groups of 4 in Chinese myth are linked with the cardinal directions.

Mo Li Hung/Duōwén Tiānwáng/Vessavana/Bishamon-ten: Protector of the North and ruler of rain, as shown by his fancy umbrella, the Umbrella of Chaos. Opening it turns the skies pitch dark, and turning it upside down causes massive storms. (Fun fact: also one of the Japanese Shichi-fujin/7 Gods of Fortune)

Mo Li Ching/Zēngzhǎng Tiānwáng/Virūlhaka/Zōchō-ten: Protector of the South and a god of plant life and growth. He has a super special sword, Blue Cloud, that can cause massive black winds and turn into a bunch of spears that turn people to dust.

Mo Li Hai/Chíguó Tiānwáng/Dhatarattha/Jikoku-ten: Protector of the East and god of music. As a result, his main weapon is his sick guitar that can mess up nature and cause all sorts of weird crap to happen.

Mo Li Shou/Guăngmù Tiānwáng/Virūpakkha/Kōmoku-ten: Protector of the East and an all-seeing deity that watches over everything. His tools are a magic bag and the goodest little guy Hua-hu Tiao, a white mink. His shoulder-buddy can also be a snake or dragon, depending on the version, but I like the fluffer.

Now, these guys have important jobs and are well respected in their own rights and stuff, but their most famous Chinese myth seems to be that time they got their asses kicked by Erlang Shen.

Okay, I guess that isn't entirely accurate as he and Nezha were mainly helping some guy named Huang Tianhua, but still. (Also don't expect any info on that Tianhua guy, I got nothing)

Anyways, the story starts when some guys pray for help in battle and for some reason the 4 brothers decide it's totally worth it to go down to the mortal realm themselves along with 1,000 celestial soldiers to kick some ass. Mo-li Shou sends his little floofer to go around and eat the opposing army's soldiers while the big boys kicked butt, but unfortunately one of the soldiers Hua-hu Tiao ate was Erlang Shen, here called by his other name Yang Jian. Erlang doesn't like that very much, so he rips his way out of Hua-hu, killing it, then transforms himself to look like it and sneaks back to his 'master,' waiting for the moment to strike.

Back at the plot, Nezha manages to break the 4 kings' divine weapons, making an opening for Tianhua to kill 3 of them, leaving only Mo-li Shou. Turning to his trusty fur-buddy to bail him out, Shou tries to sic Hua-hu at them, but surprise! That's actually Erlang Shen who bites his hand clean off. The ensuing agony gives Tianhua the distraction he needs to un-alive the last brother and win the day.

And then I guess they got out of the underworld on good behavior or something, because they continued to be important gods in the pantheon for many centuries to come.

here we go again, I had too much fun with part one & a few of you wanted a part 2! so like last time, I put the current gmmtv cast on a virtual spinning wheel, spun it 20 times to create 10 random couples & rated them!

I think they did have great enemies to lovers chemistry in not me, and them being work out buddies irl was adorable! they're also kings of having chemistry with literally anyone so I know given the opportunity they would absolutely SLAY 😌 also they would be such an attractive couple lol, sorry I need to mention that since both of them are two of my absolute ultimate celebrity crushes 🥰 and lastly since I've always wanted to see off in a ship with a guy who's taller than him this would be *chef's kiss* 9/10

I don't really see it but to be fair, I didn't see force & neo either and that didn't keep them from absolutely eating each other's faces in the only friends mock trailer 😂 and I ABSOLUTELY didn't see pond & nanon together and that didn't stop pond from being so good at flirting with him in dirty laundry! so all of that to say that both force & pond have very flirty energies and are good actors so while I wouldn't pair them together out of my own volition, if it were to happen, I'm certain they would 100% make it work! 6.5/10

bitch post time!!!!!! many revelations ok last night's vibes were HEINOUS but it provided so much for me and lydia to talk about and now i am gonna share with you yippee storytime

k so we plan to go to this valentines day showcase thing that the college radio is putting on last night. mind you at my place of work where i pretended that i had a family emergency and had to go home cause i didnt feel like going into work yesterday morning lol idiot... i was so paranoid my boss was there in disguise or some shit it was stupid. sorry um. yeah so ok i was largely like this could be a chance for friend groups to come together and maybe ill be able to talk to sams roommate and also like i do want to see more live music and it's free! so. anyway ok wait let me tell u abt the first part of the day

so me and lydia drive over some wine bottles to sam for him to use as props in a film. and sam and the roommate are sitting on their porch and we chat a little bit acc sam said as i walked up 'you always look so suspicious' and i was like 'ok u guys were literally just staring at me' cause they WERE and roommate was actually really nicely like 'oh no you're okay' and generally was just kind of inserting into our convo which well i had fun with naturally. um anyway and then who comes running up but teko! our buddy teko. and sams like have yall met and im like Of course and teko gives me a hug and i cant lie it was actually so sweet. i am also extremely touch starved but it was a nice hug. anyway. then i had to help roommate pick shoes alongside teko's fit and then i was like um Ok Bye. when i got back in the car lydia was like so i saw a neon sweatshirt... and i was like yeah <3 that's my man <3 sorry ok vibes get worse as the night comes

me and lydia end up getting to sam's late to 'pregame' this show and ig it was supposed be like. it was encouraged to dress formally. and i was wearing a dress that was too small and my chappell red tights and docs. kind of a serve but me and lydia were serving much more valentines day than formal. anyway. roommate does swing around to be like hi! and THEN i see my girl chloe i looooove her shes so fuckin funny and weird and we made this weird little short together in class last semester and i was kinda intimidated by her so i was so happy shocked when she was like I was so excited to see u :D WEEE shes so cool guys and has the funniest fuckin laugh and well honestly the high points of the night were us and lydia fucking around and dancing and being weird and offputting wallflowers cause again this thing SUCKED. ok

we did also smoke beforehand and i accidentally took this huge hit and then thought id be fine w a little more but brother was i feeling funny. did not eat enough and didnt take water it was atrocious. so. we get there and let me tell you if I WAS WORKING i'd have been able to fix the fact that it was soooooooooo fucking loud in there like bad bad bad audio distortion etc i wanted to kick this dude off the mixer but like what ever... it hurt so bad. and the lights were mostly on until chloe and sam duped this guy into dimming some of them but even still it was giving middle school dance. without the fun cheesy music. some of my instagram gay people are there. um but sorry there was simply no way i was going near that dance floor like the bands lowkey highkey sucked (i mean it was just a bunch of white college dudes and they did not slay. shocker. sam kept being like 'they're so good' and we were like um haha... straight face emoji)

we acc disappeared for a while to another floor for the br and just chilled for like half an hour (and security came to find us lmfaooo but ended up just leaving) and i was feeling odd and out of body and too aware of how i looked and it was just not great i was like we're the only bitches serving cunt here... um. anywho. so like later theres a slow dance and roommate is dancing with this other girl i only know from instagram till this point and i suppose if i was really feeling myself i could have tried to make a move but i was not. once again. vile vibes in this place. like i dont mean to be a pussy i typically would be much more charming and fun if i wanted to flirt and kinda felt the vibe from them but i was not really enjoying myself LMAO

then some more of the friend group shows up at the end and sam's like 'drama is actively going down' and im like Wuhhhh the fuck and i feel like a few of them r looking at me and i was just like get me OUT of here but for some fuck ass reason was still like nooooo we should go over and have pizza w sam and them. forgive me for thinking they had like frozen pizza or smth and i could get some free food out of this no we had to sit there and wait for dominos or whatever

AND THE MOST ANNOOOOOOOOOOOYING AWFUL TERRIBLE GROSS MEN YOUVE EVER MET SAT THERE AND JOINED THE BRIEF SMOKE CIRCLE AND THEN WERE JUST THERE AND LIKE YOU COULD JUST FEEL THEM TAKING UP SPACE AND US 'GIRLS' WERE MADE TO FEEL SO SMALL ON THE FUCKING COUCH I WAS SOOOOOOOO TIRED. had to get a sweater cause i felt so uncomfortable. girl i really was only there in case i could have a saving grace moment with roommate im so serious. well and for chloe but otherwise me and lydia shoulda been outta there

literally chloe was so excited to show our little video to people and sam cut us off from getting there to show us the fucking fidget spinner game he has on his tv. girl get out! oh my fucking god. finally lydias like Cool anyway so - like sams misogyny jumped out in previously unprecedented ways. it was bad. these boys were truly making me want to kill myself im sorry like it was so bad i have curated my experience so as to be away from that for so long it was really jarring. and what you need to understand about sam is that he's almost died twice and kind of has a funny little gender vibe going on and so for a while now yeah we've gotten along through silly odd things we relate through but holy shit....... that was so offputting i cant even wrap my brain around it

also sam very much walked me into like yaoi-fying him and his best friend and then was like haha noooo why r u calling us gay ur so weird bitch just fuck him already im tired and also dont care.. hes so attention seeking and not used to um not being the center of attention. sorry! oopsies anyway so

so then im like ew like i kinda need to reassess um. the people im around. and again cant stress enough how gross and judged and just kinda old i felt surrounded by these ppl even tho theyre all like within a year of age? and like roommate still seems maybe cool but since we didnt actually talk and they were off w the other roommate/other ppl i cant help but associate them w the odd vibes but like. honestly idk i might just try to uh slide into their dms rlly casually. bc. well idk how the friend group is fracturing and it wouldnt surprise me if they were annoyed with sam esp living with him but obv i dont really know. but again let me stress this friend group has been friends since their freshman year like what r yall doing yeah u do need to break up....

like yeah... the thing is... dj hospitalized hwoarang, it was nightmares that triggered the devil gene in jin. and not only that... but like, clearly the original devil (devil kaz) was bad and trying to get kaz to do bad things. it was angel that was the good part - there was never any good in devil. and plus you know, it's probs noncanon/has been retconned, but they even go outta their way several times to say dj enjoys eating people in tk6. it's why i actually did kinda scream when jin said "you've always been protecting me... haven't you?" KSNDFJSDF. dj always, to me, felt like the original devil and just tried to get jin on the wrong path - but unlike his father, jin just doesn't listen.

which, i guess i don't entirely mind them making up as a conclusion or whatever. but like everything else in the series, i did wish it was done a lil better i guess. if i'm gonna be honest, i had no intents of writing them making up or giving dj a "redemption arc". in fact, i just thought that jin was gonna finally stand up to dj and say no. have his alice liddel moment where he'll say "you've used and abused me, but you will not destroy me." but no... instead we get dj saving him and apparently was always a guardian devil or something - jin's just only been denying him when he shouldn't have LOL. hell, i've written drabbles where jin does get rid of dj.

so i find myself slightly disillusioned when writing them right now. because the way i've written dj, i had mostly written him as an entity who's gained some sentience, is an overall mess, but mostly incapable of actually loving somebody other than feeling like he does. (by that i mean mimicking jin's feelings and believing them to be true). dj was a very vague character when i write him - writing that he does seemingly miss jin (after "killing" him LOL) - but made it unclear if he actually cared for jin, or if he was just uncomfortable by change. as the original intention when i wrote their relationship was supposed to reflect an abusive or toxic relationship of any kind. as i was inspired by how the comics wrote them - with dj being highly manipulative of jin. putting him down at times, but then supporting him at others. that means there is a lot of hatred in mind when writing these two.

therefore... that's why i find myself a bit scrambling when writing what tk8 did. which i guess that itself isn't a problem of tk8. but it is hard for me to write that jin and dj made amends when dj has done nothing but been absolutely horrible to jin, and also whose actions led to thousands of deaths. i have a hard time writing it without the fear that it sounds farfetched or unconvincing - kinda like how it's unconvincing for people to just be buddies with canon jin all of a sudden in 8. but like, it just kinda feels weird writing it this way, too. i know i can just discard tk8. but like... there are indeed things i enjoyed about it, and i do want a conclusion for jin. it's just that his and dj's relationship is def the weirdest and hardest thing to incorporate about it into my canon.

and really like, my dj was very pissed at jin, too - just as upset as jin was with dj. like they were both at a point where they just absolutely hated each other and felt wronged. so that makes it harder for them to be like "okay. we're cool with each other now. :)"

the easiest explanation i've got for this so far is that jun's powers or jin's kazama powers within "purified" dj. so instead of getting rid of him, he's still around - only as a more angelic being. because he's different and wants to help, jin finds it hard to totally hold the past against him. because it does feel like, in a way, he's talking to a new or changed person. i guess i changed it that dj did indeed care about jin but never admit to it or wanna accept it until now. so yeah.

idk thinking about it, it does remind me a lot of kingdom hearts 3 and why i was so critical about that game's story (altho i found myself less bored with TK8 than i did KH3). the scene where jin says "you've been protecting me all this time yadayada" felt on par with riku just joking he's gonna miss ansem. y'know... these dark entities that have been terrorizing these hosts and making their lives hell... but now they're all acting friendly toward each other. it's weird. IT'S WEIRD! KH3 was filled with fanfic like writing (by that i mean little conflict and everyone's just friends or back from the dead for no reason just to be Happy)

I don't feel like any of my works are under-read but I hate that works seem to have a shelf life anymore. You post, you get reblogs and comments for about three days, and then it's done. It would thrill me to no end to get reblogs and comments and recs on any of my fics more than a week after I posted them because that would tell me they're still being enjoyed and I'm not just like, a content producing machine whose work has an expiration date.

It's not weird to comment on an older fic. It's not weird to @ your favorite authors when you make fic rec lists. We need the interaction. We write because we want connection and I feel like fic rec master posts and stuff are going the way of the dinosaur and everyone is treating fic like tiktok and ugh. It's sad! Support your creators no matter how old the work is.

10. You have to take one of your original characters grocery shopping with you, which one do you pick?

Listen. I fucking hate the grocery store so I have no time for these vampires who have never seen the inside of a wal-mart and want to stare down the shampoo aisle all night.

So I'm taking Daniel, because all of this is old hat for him. He's got Armand's credit cards so we're going shopping on his dime. I'm getting enough laundry detergent to last me into the next century and he's using his immortal strength to lift it all and carry it in the house.

I also just think he straddles the line between practicality and hedonism in a way that would make him a great grocery buddy. Would he encourage me to get frozen pizzas and ice cream in every flavor my heart desires? Yes. Would he also remind me that I won't eat the family size bag of tortilla chips before they go stale? Also yes. He won't judge me for getting more snacks than produce, and he'll definitely let me bum a post-shopping stress cigarette off him in the parking lot. It's a win win in my book.

The only draw back would be that he's a boomer so he'd probably suck at using the self checkout. But he's also a vampire, so we'd be shopping at 1am and the lines at the cashier would be non existent anyways.

(and maybe he'd bring along armand? which would feel like third wheeling a date but there's potential for hilarity so it's fine, i'm down)

So yeah. I think he's the most reasonable choice for groceries haha Anything else however- Armand and Lestat, they spend money like it's nothing and I wanna be TREATED.

2023 Accomplishments, 2024 Hopes

I did a lot of stuff this year, so I'm gonna talk about stuff I'm happy about accomplishing this year!

Art

I made the most money ever for commissions! Almost $900 I hope to make more next year!

I finished quite a few comics as well as Cherry's first journal! Comics have always been quite difficult for me to finish, so I'm proud of being able to do a handful of them!

I got to be a featured artist in an app! That was a pretty cool experience getting to test out and draw in an app! Also getting paid to do so!

Next year, I would like to try an improve on some things with my art, finish more art, and maybe get another art job!

TTRPGS

I played a LOT of DnD this year.

In my Monday game, we're closely approaching our 100th sessions and possibly the end of our first campaign! I love Cherry so much and I hope she gets through it all with the Flockless! This is the longest campaign I've ever been in and the highest level I've grown to as well. Cherry went from level 3-13 so far, how my baby has grown! We also got to play some Kids on Bikes and Pathfinder 2e which was very fun! I hope to do more games after we finish campaign 1!

With my Tuesday group, I got to make so many fun characters and also try some new TTRPGs too! I'm excited for all the fun little things we'll get to do next year! I love Manon and hope we figure out the nature of this world.

I hope to finally run something next year for my friends next year, but we'll see how it goes!

Life

No major changes happened in my life this year. I'm hoping next year I have more luck in finding an art job, but overall, I'm pretty ok with where I am.Working at a grocery store will always suck, but I'm at least making enough money to buy things I like and help my family out a bit.

I went to my first Pride parade this year. When I was sitting at the subway waiting for my friends to arrive I almost cried because seeing the sheer amount of queer people around was just heart-warming and made me feel like it was all gonna be ok. I got my first ace flags, one of which is on my desk near Rawhide. I also got handed a paper for black queer people which was a lil funny. I also got a lot of compliments on my outfit which felt very good.

Mental health wise, it's also been very ok. I'm hoping to get more support in terms of my ADHD meds since I've been on the same dosage for a while and things could be better.

Lastly...

This is a lil sappy, but I wanna say thanks to all my friends and my sister for making this life worth living. I haven't been in a depressive rut in a long time because of those I love, the things I love, and the things I'm looking forward to. Life for me isn't always rainbows and sunshine, but I'm always happy about the small things that make it worthwhile. I'm looking forward to making and sharing more art with my friends, playing video games and TTRPGs, and just doing what I enjoy in life!

the episode was good but lowkey...they need to stop hyping them up so much or i need to lower my expectations. either way...felt there could be a bit more and feel like they're taking too long with the story and they're dragging it out to an almost annoying length. like we get it, you're hoping for five seasons but i don't want to wait 'til the last season to have all questions asked or if the worse outcome happens, they get cancelled, i don't want any room for no questions being answered. so...if they could stop dragging it out and get to the point, that'd be super. but that's just me.

• extraordinary attorney woo: i am absolutely obsessed with this one, my little neurodivergent heart is so blessed. like all media, esp with autistic folk, it has its flaws, but it is so far the best and loveliest depiction of an autistic character i've ever seen. highly recommend!!

• triage: bestieeeeeeees, i am a huge sucker for a good time loop, and one in a medical drama??? *chef's kiss*

• link: eat love kill: this show is absolutely everything—romance, comedy, thriller, fantasy, drama, mystery—and has absolutely everything—weird psychic link, cooking, twin sister murder revenge plot, pathetic little meow meow, unlucky girlboss. what's not to love??

• kinnporsche: thoroughly enjoying it, v worth the two year wait, and i can't believe it's almost over

• minato shouji coin laundry: having a hard time getting past how young shin is, but besides that i'm really enjoying this! it's cute and so far better than the manga, which is pretty decent

• tomorrow: i've been v slowly but surely making my way through this kdrama and its v good and sentimental and fun and cute and emotional

• star & sky: sky in your heart: it's basic but cute and i'm enjoying having a classic thai bl for my frigays

• senpai, danjite koidewa: WHERE IS EP 3???? i binged the manga and loved it and now am in utter agony waiting for new eps

• my secret love: i'm kinda behind on this one, yet it's one of my favorite currently airing (for now, i've only seen 2.5 eps, so don't come for me if it soured). v cute and classic

• sh**ting stars: also behind on this one, i was waiting so impatiently for new eps that i forgot about it absjdbka. 2 eps left to go, though, and i love every second of it so far.

• a robot in the orange orchard: having such a good time with this one, it's so cute and sweet and funny and the female lead is so <3

• check out: idk why i'm watching this, it's so shit and v annoying and makes no sense. but i'm in too deep and i love the actors, so i'm still here

• minamdang cafe: only one ep in but i love this little found family of scammers and the detective girlboss

• stranger things s4 vol. 2: no one said this was an asian drama watchlist, lmao. i'm v slowly making my way through this bc 1. it's very long and 2. it's kinda eh, esp with the spoilers i've seen

• who rules the world: i went absolutely insane over this one when it first started airing, but then my parents and i started rewatching shl and watching this in between just made me ache for more shl, so now it's kinda on hold, but i'm keeping it in my currently watching list to hold myself accountable!

rewatching:

• shan he ling: the hyperfixation has lasted over a year, babeyyyy!! currently rewatching with my parents (my dad has seen up to ep 26 and my mom's never seen it) and i love it sm and want nothing more than to be watching it 24/7 but my parents have lives and i guess i do too (curse you uni summer classes and job!!), so we're watching very slowly.

• bad buddy: i already finished a full rewatch with my irl friend a little while ago, but another irl friend is on ep 10 so i'm rewatching along with her so that i can talk abt it without spoiling (and also to refresh my mind and go properly insane in out text convos)

as you can tell i'm watching wayyyy too many shows, so i'm getting through them pretty slowly, not to mention the fact that i'm currently spending most of my time listeing to the white vault, a horror podcast i'm incredibly hyperfixated on, absjsj. but such is the life of a gay person with adhd! thanks again to tay for tagging me, this was fun! i tag @ahxu-laowen @laowen @tipnaree @liyazaki @musicdramalove and anyone else who wants to!
