they werent lying that knuckles series barely has knuckles in it

#i pirated that shit Btw just so we're clear. also gonna talk about it a little bit in the tags #nothing too spoilery but also might not wanna read if you want to go in knowing absolutely nothing? idk #anyway he WAS a main character still he was present for a decent amount of the first couple episodes #but the amount of screentime he gets just starts dropping after that . hes barely there at all in the second half ???#and it feels like theres a lot of scenes mostly focusing on wade and his problems and not near as many for knuckles and his whole deal #overall it feels more like a wade show with knuckles in it than a knuckles show with wade in it. which sucks #and human characters having plot relevance isnt the problem here i dont mind human characters at all i think they can be really fun #its the fact that the human characters are taking over the story and spotlight when the show is called knuckles #and all the marketing makes it look like knuckles is the main focus #and i also would have preferred if they just went with a differnet character to be knuckles' human friend #because i dont particulraly care about wade. and the knuckles (and sonic and tails) i know would not be friends with cops </3 #well at least the story wasnt knuckles training wade to be a better cop like a lot of people were expecting but thats like.the bare minimum #also aside from the issues relating to knuckles' screentime (or lack of screentime) i thought the ending was unsatisfying #regardless of all that though there WERE some parts i enjoyed or found kind of funny or whatever. because knuckles so cutesy as always #knuckles being a cute little guy is the most important part of the show actually #and i liked the parts with sonic tails and maddie even if they were only there for like 5 minutes #(i really wish those three had gotten more screentime. i feel like they could have easily worked in at least one more scene with them)#and its a minor thing but the opening sequence is cute. was honestly expecting just a title card or something #overall the show is just . kind of okay i guess. not the worst thing ive ever seen but still disappointing ? idk how to explain..#my expectations also werent very high in the first place #so maybe im being a bit more generous than i would have been otherwise. idk #and i definitely would not recommend this to anyone who already dislikes the sonic movies . youll probably hate this more #like people who thought the human characters got too much screentime in the second movie would lose their minds if they saw this

idk i guess my philosophy when it comes to damien and mark has always been like.....damien isn't a bad guy, really, i do think he has good intentions most of the time, but given the environment he's in and how much money and power he has access to, it makes sense to me that he'd occasionally stoop to underhanded or scummy methods to get what he feels like he needs or deserves. meanwhile mark is also not a bad guy—though he certainly tends to be more selfish than damien—but he's been severely hurt and has never been properly supported through all of it due to a combination of the time period he's in, the people he's around not fully understanding him, and his own self destructive tendencies. oh, and house entity also. that's very much a factor here.

gojo's death has been way too controversial for something that has been premeditated for such a long time

#like... this was so coming #also the fact gege took every chance he got to say how gojo was still alive/not dead yet 😂#anyways i hope shoko survives to see some change in jjk society #i was reading a few of my old posts and tags yesterday and i had written about how from the trio she was the most likely to survive #and how i hoped though her they got to see change in the new generation unlike they were able to experience in their youth #and i still hope that's true #maybe jjk won't have a happy ending but i hope it's just just pointless you know?#also i don't think megumi is dead i refuse to believe yuuji's big moment isn't coming and that his whole thing isn't saving megumi #i still have wishful thinking he'll be able to honour the 'then start by saving me itadori'#he's also the person that makes most sense to win against sukuna #people undervalue yuuji as a protagonist a lot although he isn't your typical shonen main character he still is one and for a reason #so i want to have hope he will be able to do soemthing to save megumi somehow #i don't care if i'm delulu but there's just no way kenjaku and sukuna's big final moments won't be with the main characters right?#there's no way yuuta isn't gonna try to kill kenny like he said and no way yuuji doesn't face sukuna methinks #at least that's what i'm kind of hoping for endgame i think it would wrap things up well maybe not but it makes sense to me 😂#just wonder how gege wil wrap up some other characters #i think i'm preparing myself to be disappointed with shoko's fate i really wish she would be used in a relevant part of the story #i just think she had so much potential but that doesn't seem likely right? not at this point #but anyways just ranting #not just*#jjk spoilers #okay adding something: even if gojo didn't die or is able to be saved still he had to face death/be disabilitated for the story to go on #in my humble opinion. i just think this story was always about him passing the torch and not about him having any real impact in society #gojo's generation (and i'm including yaga here) has made the choice to help the youth which in itself is already breaking generational #curses but every single one of them has been doing the equivalent of putting bandaids on a fatal wound #obviously the story is much more complicated than this simple analogy but it was not up to gojo's generation to do anything #i just think the parallelism between them has always been pretty obvious about it #that gojo's generation was about intent and aid rather than being successful themselves?!#idk where i'm going with this but i really think this is a story about the youth consinuously trying to do better even if they fail #and they will fail because life isn't fair

Putting my journal down realizing maybe I shouldn't make a written plan to socialize more efficiently

#.txt #Is efficiently the right word. Diary entry incoming.#Going back and forth in recent days with feeling okay with one sided social stimulation and that's just kind of how my brain works #And recognizing I will not look like a well rounded person because I'm not able to maintain other people's interest in an acquaintanceship #It is likely. At least some part due to like labor isolation and all I do is work I do not have life events to interest people #All I can talk about is video games but incredibly limits the social pool because I like bad games.#And also to some degree distrust and the assumption my presence is unwanted. Which I've been working on a lot!#Today in particular is probably just a bad day.#And I have been very focused on life plans for the past week or so which has become very daunting #Planning on starting a business this year. Which is probably why I'm stressing about being able to reach people.#As it will become financially relevant and not just a personal failing I have accepted.#Reasonably it is probably a therapy thing to address being so afraid of other people. But I do not want to go to therapyyyy I'll do it.#Myself.#Normally.#Not dipping into woe is me I have no one territory at least as bad as I did when I was younger. Recognizing a pattern that I am enacting.#My responsibility to improve. Yada yada. I just wish it was a bit easier to feel my like. Presence.#And the constant improvement mindset straying into never good enough is very difficult to avoid.#And it's not a matter of being a good enough person to have close relationships. But I think its easiest to ascribe personal failure #When you are unable to do something. Well the most likely culprit is probably never leaving the house and being undiagnosed.#Which I can arguably do things about.#Also I'm tired. But I'm going to work on my resume tonight anyway and hope tummy pain passes and maybe talking to people will be easier #Another day.

I'm working on my next oc set rn (as always) and this one is going to be the first, like, trinary guild to have more than 8 characters on account of twins sharing a spot lol

#they're actually replacing a different character i felt didn't really work well lol #my concern so far is to not design every single character to have a blue color scheme since they're naval themed #I'll have to like work around it for some. some blue as highlights maybe #shades of green or ourple #at least one character will have a red and orange color scheme and I don't want them to stand out too much also #I'll figure it out lol #anyway the secondary guilds have 10 characters. and the knights have 14. obvs the main one has the most at 31 #i feel like you can assume theres more members of those guilds beyond what i show. theyre just not all as relevant lol #bc having 30+ for a side side guild would be sort of pointless and detract more than add #but a lot of them are big guilds so. i think you can assume theres more than 8 that just happen to pop up around the main characters lol #also anyone who wants to play with ocs like dolls could make their own characters for those side guilds and it will not mess w the story #even come up w relationships to other characters and say we just dont see them for the same reasons. not relevant to the main bunch #bc even tho i have a lot of fun w the more gimmicky side characters focusing on them too much would take away from the main guys #thats part of why they have to be gimmicky to stand out too. not as much focus to give them like detailed backstories and hypothetical arcs #so you get the gist of them based on what their Thing is and they can stand out w that #like i dont want them to be too intrusive. but i want them to have character!#not just bland extras and all. if they were i wouldnt keep drawing these sets for them #i have too much fun designing them to do that!#anyway after this current set (cobalt heart) ill only have 2 left #and one of them is actually on the smaller side! the timber scouts only have 5 characters #w similar outfits so they shouldnt take as long i think? also 4 of them are children #then is tartarus which will probably take longer but im really stoked for them #especially pluto. and deimos and phobos and juliet (dumbass duo and their fucking babysitter)#i also have some solo characters i wanna do too #i for sure have to do the royals . and some historical characters maybe #but i want atlas to be the last one i draw. my insane guy who tried to claw his own eyes out because he saw it #i wonder what the next phase will be after i finish everyone tho

#i will always be exiting pursued by a bear #tales from diana #text post #shakespeare #the winter's tale #for the longest time (and even still now) (but since i was a teenager) i used to say i had 3 firm favorite shakespeare plays #a midsummer night's dream / the tempest / antony and cleopatra #but ESPECIALLY midsummer and the tempest. and those two still are just. immovably special to me #i love every word in those plays i love every plot element. i love how they're two of shakespeare's original plots!#i love the imagination i love the metatheater i love the themes and takeaways i love the characters #but as i get older. alas i simply do not have three favorite shakespeare plays i have like 14 #also relevant to how i read the wars of the roses tetralogy years ago but i cannot stop talking about them in 2023.#i have to be honest. i LOVED those plays as i read them but bc i was like 'well they dont top my favorites' i didnt think of them *as* that #but really what is it to have a favorite anyway? a rose by any other name would smell as sweet #on my first readings. my top 3 were my favorites that i had ever read (altho i had only read so many by then!)#i have now read most of shakespeare's plays. most of the great ones are not so obviously far behind those which i felt a sentimental #attachment to at an adolescent age.#i really cant imagine what the tempest or a midsummer night's dream would be like to me if i read them for the first time now as an adult #i bet id still love them! id still find them breathless. i have always been in the habit of rereading passages from them from time to time #enjoying art from them and watching the occasional adaptation etc.#BUT ANYWAY. im really straying from what i was originally going to say now. wow i just realized how much i rambled #i was going to say that i only read the winter's tale last year. when i was quite familiar w shakespeare #but i hadnt been reading him as frequently as i had when i was a teenager. was reading other authors for the first time instead.#the winter's tale was the only shakespeare play i read in 2022 actually #and even in a dry spell for shakespeare i really enjoyed that.#and of course then i went back to other things. but the more time goes by the more i'm like wow. the winter's tale #it really does equal at least the tempest in my mind w how much i enjoy it #also hamlet. i've never thought hamlet was my favorite (though ive always really liked it)#but lately ive read several great plays w similar themes and thought wow this is so good it reminds me of hamlet #(or maybe that's bc hamlet was more influential than say the tempest... well whatever!)

obvious preface that academic achievement is in many senses bullshit and intellect is not based off of your scores on things in school that makes zero sense and the structures we deem as objective like academic institutions are at their roots subjective and biased. this being said i must admit that it feels really fucking nice to get a good score on a test

#nightmare.personal #i generally did fine on tests but like. the whole of my last biology class about two years ago #i did REALLY bad on nearly every test and broke down about them frequently #and so i got a test back today and given it is curved to hell and back i don't know what my raw score would've been #but he was like what do you think you got and i was like. he showed us the score distribution beforehand #mentally i was hoping for a 50% but after seeing that most people got over that i got audacious enough for a B #and then he said i got an A+ and i'm just like. processing that #i actually know shit. i know shit! i know shit about things!#and like i studied really hard and studied in groups and studied alone and reread notes #and pushed through a massive fatigue i got when i started the test because i always get test fatigue #and i did good . :')#there's somehow more and less pressure on me now that i'm in college to get good scores but #it's just. idk. it's cool :D i think it's cool! that's all #also this subject is one that like while not related to my major is genuinely kind of useful and interesting shit to know?#like nobody's ever gonna ask me about fucking. the human fossil record. but it's pretty relevant anyway #so it feels more rewarding than scoring well on something that's just actually useless in most manners

so on my quest to make a properly comprehensive list of animals, plants, and minerals in thedas....... after taking probably around 30-40 hours total to go through all ttrpg material, it was very refreshing to go through ALL of da:journeys (like all of it; all the dialogue and scripts, containing all text ever shown in-game) in a bit over an hour.

#thought it would take longer than that #ok technically there could be relevant stuff in the image files if any of them have like. names of plants or minerals?#i'll go and glance at them but otherwise. god it's nice to start and finish something in one sitting #but on that note i have now ACTUALLY read EVERY SINGLE PART of the ttrpg. not skimmed it; REALLY read it #ok i skimmed some bits but it was game-mechanic stuff with no play examples and ive read most of that before anyway #anyway. next up is........... legends? that'll take a bit longer than journeys but probably not too much longer #pretty sure the scripts are completely irrelevant; it's all binary files which is very nice #and ftr: no there was nothing new in journeys. well.. i guess the different specifications of leather quality but that's not important #da #personal #(yes i know about the fauna and flora page on the wiki. ive found quite a few things that arent on it already)#update: nope nothing from the images. i remembered when i went through the map files the different hexes had names and some were plants--#--but they were just like. 'weeds' and 'moss'. moss is obviously a thing but it's on the list already.

if you want to listen to people who are the best singers in the world, you arent gonna find them in kpop or any kind of pop music. you'll find them doing stuff that you'll probably think is kinda boring LMAO, or at least i probably would. so who cares?

i bet the actual best singers are like opera or classical or idk some kind of folk singers or something idk im not really interested. i dont care who the best is at something, i just care about who i like the most

#i feel the same way about things like guitar though thats not really relevant to kpop #i dont care who the most skilled guitarist is and i dont like bands who try solely to show off how skilled they are #that doesnt make you a good songwriter and it doesnt make you an interesting performer #there are people who like that though. presumably people who play guitar are pretty interested in stuff like that haha #but i dont... so it doesnt mean much to me #i dont sing... so i dont really care about who is a better singer than who #for the most part anyway #like if youre comparing two singers who sound incredible to me... i guess one could be better than the other...#but the difference would be so minimal to me #that's what i mean #especially in something like pop music which is meant to be catchy and fun first and foremost #it doesnt matter how well you sing if your song isnt catchy. and likewise... if your song is catchy... then i dont care how well you sing
