this is on a very similar vibe to the blurb i did about matty and baby dylan going to the shops so i'll just stick with them! she's a 2021 baby, so matty wfh is very much a thing when she's tiny - not that he wouldn't have done everything he could to be at home with his girls anyway, but he's always in the house. and that's great, because it means he can insist on you resting when you need to, while he takes care of dylan and the things that need to be done. while he loads the dishwasher and the washing machine and cleans all her bottles and the downstairs rooms, he's got her napping in her pram, just wheeling it from room to room with him so he doesn't disturb her and he can get stuff done (although it takes him longer than intended because he gets distracted lovingly watching his tiny girl sleep lol). she wakes up when it's time to do upstairs, so matty just pops her in the baby bjorn and carries her around while he dusts, cooing and singing to her and making her giggle; the two of them peek into your bedroom and see you napping, and matty's like "look how pretty mummy is. you look like her, dyl, a lot, thank goodness. love mummy and you so much", bless him. he still has her against his chest when you wake up an hour later and come downstairs - the sight of the two of them at the kitchen table while matty writes is so heartwarming, as is the smile you get from your husband when he sees you. dylan beams at you, too, when she wakes up, and it's just a moment of pure love between and surrounding the three of you. adorable <3

Ohhhhhh my ducking GOD I'm gonna lose it at my job rn.

So like. We recently had a "strategic downsizing* that affected mostly management positions due to our sole investor having a poor financial situation on their end. As a result, there's been a refocus on the part of our product that actually makes money, and a reshuffle of personal.

I've been on team A for my entire 1.5 years hear (since Nov 2021.) I'm meant to be on team B long-term, but I'm temporarily being loaned to team C for the next few months.

Team C's codebase is, to put it mildly, absolute fucking shit. For context, we recently had to do a complete refactor of our Finance systems, and the systems under team C has everything that was wrong with Finance AND MORE.

To make it worse, I just found out that 2 of the 3 other people on team C who have my same title (software development engineer 1) and have worked at this company for the same amount OR LESS are getting promoted to developer 2, and the 3rd is on the shortlist for the same. Y'know, the same folks responsible for the worst code I've ever seen in my life. But they're all cishet men, and I'm just a silly little tranny faggot 🙃🙃🙃

I fucking hate it here. Actively looking for WFH coding work if anybody has any decent leads.

I'm a returning fella looking back at old memories, remembering their time in Undertale, and realizing how far things have come and changed since 2019 (seems like forever away now) and looking back at old fancomics I read. Yours was definitely one of my top favorites in terms of presentation, and I was curious how you were doing now (I hope all the fanartists and others are doing fine and well) since your deviantART had been inactive since 2020-2021.

Thanks I appreciate that! 😊 I’m not gonna lie I think I hit a major art block/burnout with art for the last few years. With doing work in the industry, I just struggled to be able to draw anything that made me happy and felt like I wasn’t progressing. And because of the work I did, I wasn’t able to really enjoy it anymore and started to resent it. So I had to make some big career changes and stopped drawing for a long time. I still haven’t really “drawn” properly but the break from it all is slowly inspiring me again. I do want to draw again - I have ideas and it’s nice to see people reignite their passions for Undertale again. And then sharing their ideas and passions in new fandoms. It’s really nice to see 😊 but for now I’m just prioritising my new career paths, my health and fitness with weight lifting, and trying to live a little. Being away from a computer and WFH lifestyles helps a lot I think. But one day I hope to draw again just need a little more time to recharge and find that spark again.

Entrapdak Zine 5 - “Nostalgia” is now open for submissions!!

Did you know this issue will mark two years of this Entrapdak Zine? I’m just as surprised as you!

Right let’s down to business!

The deadline for this issue will be Saturday JULY 1st 2021 at 9AM GMT.

I am flexible on this Deadline so anything that arrives on this date or by my 9am the next day July 2nd is allowed (I’m in the GMT timezone BTW)

I am LESS flexible on the Extension Deadline (see FAQs Section for more information on that)

The Zine will be out mid July the actual date is flexible and dependant on when all the Submissions come in and my own personal work schedule.

So most of this is the same as the last few - really if it ain’t broke don’t fit it!  Also a polite reminder I am only one person running this and I am a part time Barista.  It may take me a little time to reply to emails/comments especially after the Deadline time (when I have the most amount of work to do on this project) so please be patient with me.

Our basic guidelines are the same as last issue.  This is:

A Digital pdf Zine containing content created by the fans for the fans

A 100% Free Zine

Preferred Language is English

SFW content suitable for a Y7-PG13 age range (same as the show’s age rating)

You may notice I run this different to other zines as there is no sign up period, just submit work before the deadline - I’d rather people have more time to work on their pieces 

Anyone can submit regardless of age or skill level - this is not a job application - just follow the guidelines and email in your work

Submission can be Fan Writing (poems, fan fiction, character analysis, eassys etc), Fan Art, or even photos of your Entrapdak IRL content (cosplays, fancrafts etc)!  You can submit an older work that you have published online previously if you wish - or even update a work you submitted to the last Zine! Just have fun!

Guidelines applicable to all work:

Like the show this Zine will contain content rated Y7 and PG13 rated - so please no swearing 

There WILL BE NO NSFW or 18+ content - where possible let’s keep this suitable for all ages please 

Sub note on character minimum clothing requirements: 

for male presenting characters to be speedos/underpants

for female presenting characters to be a bikini/bra and underpants 

if not sure please use the female presenting criteria

Theme:

This issue’s theme if you wish to use it is:

“Nostalgia”

This theme is a suggestion and if you’d rather make an Entrapdak piece without this theme please feel free to do so. I want you to have fun!

Allowed Characters:

As long as both Entrapta and Hordak are the main focus and the piece follows Age Rating it will be allowed.

Other allowed characters in the Entrapdak family include Emily, Imp and the Clones (also known as Spacebats)…yes weirdly this also  includes Horde Prime.

Other She-Ra characters will be allowed but Entrapdak is to be the core element.

Phew that’s a lotta text sorry about that - now on to the fun stuff! What sort of stuff is allowed?

Sex Swap AU, Species Swap AU, Furry AU, Toony AU, Anime AU, Fankid AU, Coffee Shop AU, married AU, Spacebat AU, just besties AU just to name the few that pop into my head! Oh yeah Canon Lab Partners Entrapdak too…hehe nearly forgot about that one XD. Make something Entrapdak related that’s PG13 rated and have fun!!

Fan Writing guidelines:

This includes fan fiction, analysis eassys, poetry or whatever else you’d like to write about.  I would ask this content to be between 1k-10k words in length, it’s not a big deal if the writing is over 10k or even if it’s 20k - write whatever your story needs. If you’d like to write Chapters then please do!

Written work can be emailed in the body of text, sent as pdf attachment or as a link to a Google Doc - I can work with any of those.

Please include you name/username somewhere as it helps. If there’s no name on the piece I’ll add one at the start with the title.

Fan Art guidelines:

Fan art can include rough sketches, screencap redraws, comics (appox 1-10 pages length), coloured sketches or full colour pieces. 

Fan art can be in the digital or traditional medium.  

Traditional fan art can either be submitted as a photo or scanned, which ever you prefer.

Preferred sizing for Digital art is as follows, my aim to to have everything on International (UK) A4 paper sizing where possible*

Portrait layout is preferred**

PNG is preferred but I will understand if you only wish to send a workable JPEG

The aspect ratio (width:height) of A4 paper is 1:1.4142 (1:√2)

Notes: 

*Images outside these sizings are still okay but may end up with a white border on the edges due to the PDF publishing settings.  

**Images in the landscape layout will get boarders when posted on a portrait page due to the PDF publishing settings, however if I receive landscape art I will make some extra pages at the end of the Zine and attempt to turn landscape art into a two page spread (which does look awesome!).

Please make sure to include your Social Media contacts and which name or username you wish to be identified by.  If you forget to include social media details and have been a part of a previous Zine I’ll use the details I have on file 

I will reply to confirm I have received the content and that’s it I take care of the rest!

Please note I DO NOT KEEP any records of anyone’s email addresses.  When the Zine is out I batch delete all emails sent to the email address (this is usually done a week after the Zine is out) and I keep no further records of these address. I respect your email privacy at all times.  

The only records I keep on Zine applications is a private Google Sheet that has the following details: Submitter’s name, rough description of the item submitted and their social media contacts. I’m the only person with access to this Google Sheet as I use this as a Master List reference when compiling the Zine

Why no Application form?

I don’t want anyone to feel like they are applying for a job here, this is supposed to be fun.

Will there be Guest Artists or Guest Writers?

If they apply sure, I’m not advertising who applies to be a part of this Zine until it’s ready to be published.  I don’t want anyone to feel intimidated just because a certain person has chosen to participate.

Can I submit more than one piece?

If you’d like to certainly!  If you’d like to submit up to three pieces of art and 3 fan writings, sure go for it! I’m certainly not going to stop anyone having a good time

May I post a preview of my work to my Followers?

Sure! Bonus points if you link them to this post so that they can take part if they wish

May I post my work online?

I would ask if you could please wait until the issue featuring your work is published. Of course this does not apply if you are chosen to submit and older work - in this case may I ask that you edit or add to said post to mention the work was also used in the Zine?

Is this only for people with a [insert certain social media account here]?

Nope, this is for anyone who wants to take part.  I only ask for a social media contact so that others who like you work for the Zine may follow you on your preferred social media platform.

Can I send an update to a piece?

Of course! Just let me know which piece you want to use and I’ll update on my end

Can I send another piece on later?

Of course that’s not a problem!

advice request: scripts for asking for a raise?

the startup i work at CLOSED OUR FUNDING ROUND TODAY thank fucking GOD, money slated to hit the bank (NOT SVB) on monday!! so i feel that it is an auspicious time to ask for a raise.

i’ve been working there fulltime since august 2021 and haven’t gotten any compensation increases because money has been tight, although i did get promoted to roboticist II in january (the level between new-grad and senior) and they gave me a $10K retention bonus in december. my base salary is $155K, which is what i was hired at as a new-grad with a master’s degree; there are also some stock options (aka “monopoly money”).

i’m thinking i should ask in my next 1:1 with my boss but how do i bring up this topic (“money, fun to have, right? what if you guys gave me more of it — haha, just kidding. unless…? 🥺👉👈”)

how big of a raise should i ask for?? $10K? $15K? “i can’t give you a number, dumbass, try glassdoor”?

i have a strong gut feeling that i suck at my job, which i am trying to ignore as it is contradicted by everything anyone else at my job has ever told me. how do i identify things i have done well to use as supporting evidence, when i query my brain for things i have done well and it says “nothing, you SUCK”

in other respects it is a sort of . awkward time to ask for money because i took most of february off to get top surgery and have been spending more time wfh to avoid getting covid beforehand and to recover afterwards (when i was promoted, an explicit request from the CTO to come in to the office more was passed on to me). should i wait a week or so and try to spend that week in, if you will, a “grindset”, coming into the office more, trying to be unusually productive (instead of unusually unproductive, which is what i’ve mostly been post-surgery), etc., before i make the ask? (my direct boss lives in germany and i believe is fairly indifferent to how often i come in, but the request will probably be passed up the chain to the vp of engineering and cto/ceo.)

Just talked to my supervisor. Based on my accommodations, I can continue using the quiet room all day at work. Woohoo!!

She said they're still meeting internally to see if they can make an exception for me to WFH full time. She also said I could submit a new HR request since mine now was completed in 2021. It might be worth a shot - if my psych can word things to imply I NEED to work from home and not just that I need a quiet space, it would help.

I will gladly take what I can get. I have mixed feelings about going through HR again, but at least I can continue using my quiet space. If anyone complains, I can tell them to kiss mine and the ADA's ass lol

had an interview for an academic librarian position last week and thought it went quite well and then today, less than two weeks later, the search committee told me that I'm a finalist for the position and that they'd like to invite me for a full-day on-site interview i heard that this is how most academic positions go but i am truly in shock...they want me there at 9 AM and I'm not sure when a "full day" ends for them. I'm going to be meeting with faculty and making a short presentation on a topic related to library technologies i am so anxious but also excited...the starting pay is already 10K more than I make now (and I'm currently making 10K more than I started out making back in 2021) and can go up to the triple digits so please keep me in your thoughts it is also hybrid with plenty of WFH opportunities. the best part is that the reference desk is completely virtual :') no more wondering if a patron is going to murder me or spit at me or lunge at me

Its been a long as time since i’ve been here on tumblr. I would come on here in my teenage years horny looking for sex edits and videos of hard penis. I am very great at long story shorts so let me go ahead and give a summary of the last 7 years since 2016. 

I graduated high school , didn’t go to college was broke. Got hella jobs because I was a barista from 2017 -2018 ; 2018 in November I went to Amazon. Was lit cause amazon had the bag back then. $15/hr 4-5 hour shifts and im what 19/20 with my friends. It was lit as fuck. 2019 my dad passed my first year of college and I failed all those damn classes. I was studying Biology & that shit is very hard. I lost all my motivation due to my dad being a dead ass. I met my highschool crush , he went through my then best friend to get my snapchat so he could be my guy. Jalen is someone I never would have thought to look my way because looks are deceiving. Jalen is one year older than me and he was a star football player when we were in high school. I was just a nerd, so I didn’t even know he knew I existed. Jalen is the best guy ever and we are still together. COVID came 2020 and cleaned the fucking earth, rest in peace to all fallen souls. COVID was a silent killer and I too had caught COVID from my sister in which i didn’t have any symptoms ; I too can be a silent killer. I hated to know i was asymptotic whatever the fuck and I am glad same time. My sister was sick as fuck when she had it and it was bold. I am vaccinated , no booster foh , only got vaccinated because I had to go to JA for 2022 ; my mother got married to Gerald. Gerald is lit and has two daughters, Sierra & Sadyah . Sierra has my second neph King who is 2 years old now. I love my new extended family, they are lit. Anyways during covid I stopped working at amazon because they fired me LMAO. Anyways my bud got me this WFH  job with the State of Michigan and I worked there from 2020- 2021. Job was hell but i had to be employed wtf, i was making $15/hour and after a year of claimants telling me im a stupid bitch and know nothing I got a raise to $18/hr. I was a temp worker with Robert Half so they sent me to a new project when covid “ ended “.  I was sent to Centene to do Dental Insurance and I’ve been working there since 2021- 2023 which is current. I make $21.08 and it is pretty lit fr. I live in an apartment with Jalen and my two cats. I WFH, have a catering business , a nail business and new ServSafe Certification. Still in cc working towards my culinary degree, i finally decided to follow my dreams instead of the ones i thought would make my parents happiest. I have clientele with food & nails. Need riches so me & Jalen can be married & buy our trucks & house

Apapun itu, entah karena tanahnya murah, entah itu peninggalan keluarga, atau karena jaga ladang, atau apalah yang agak-agak masuk akal gitu ya.

Sebentar di situ dulu. Ini masih persoalan lelucon kalian si anak kota yang sering menjadikan ini bahan tawa, padahal lucu pun sama sekali tidak.

Nah, belum lengkap rasanya menyebut rumah seseorang dengan pelosok tanpa tambahan 'susah sinyal'. Akhirnya aku ngerasakan di zaman-zaman sekarang yang apa-apa serba digital dan butuh jaringan, tapi lokasi gak mendukung.

Ini jarang pulang kampung, ya. Sekali pulang kampung, aku harus ke depan sana untuk dapat sinyal lebih dan bisa bekerja dengan cemas (iya cemas, pintu rumah udah dikunci yayak kalau kelamaan).

Saya juga sok cuek ngeliat mama saya sibuk dengan tugas dari sekolahnya yang harus mengisi banyak tugas yang ditentukan dari Menteri Pendidikan dengan mengerjakan tugas materi belajar, dan itu harus dengan sinyal yang mendukung. Sok cuek, padahal dalam hati saya geram, gimane guru-guru yang tinggal jauh dari kota ini berkembang, kalau sinyal aja susah dan gak bisa diandelin sama sekali.

Ooo belum selesai, soal anak sekolah? Noh ada si Dinda, si adek ini masih Mts, hidup di zaman digital, yang apa-apa juga akan lebih cepat kalau dapatnya dari internet, tugas? Jangan tanya, udah pasti dia pernah harus mengerjakan tugas menugasnya dengan bantuan internet.

Ngerasain juga, "wfh yang nekat", karena harus kerja dari rumah dengan sinyal yang haduh ini apasih. Berhubung pekerjaan saya Digital Creative, bagian Sosmed Specialist, harus dan sangat wajib menuntut saya untuk punya sinyal yang 4G+, dan duar!!!

Pulanglah saya ke kampung halaman, seminggu di rumah rasanya uda was-was. Saya harus keluar rumah (yang tau aje, rumah di Kampung Jawa Pulo Jantan, saya harus ke daerah Ambres/Kota Raja) untuk terpostingnya sebuah video di medsos client.

Belum lagi persoalan meeting online bareng komunitas, ni gimana ceritanya woy meetingnya??Ngirim pesan whatsapp aja susahnya MasyaAllah, apalagi Zoom Meeting?

Saya ingat, dan bahkan ada buktinya, perasaan 2020 sinyal masih aman sentosa, ada dokumentasi berkali-kali ngZoom di ruang tamu, dan di kamar, sekarang kok..... Harus banget ya ke titi depan rumah?

2021 saya pernah terpilih untuk ikut pelatihan literasi dari Kemdikbud, nah tu saya Zoom Meeting di halaman belakang, bersama suara ayam, entok, dipenuhi pohon sawit, pisang, mangga, nyetok minum harus pakai tutup kalau engga bisa kemasukan serpihan sampah daun, harus siap capek nepoknepok nyamuk yang nempel di tangan, siap-siap kabur pas udah ujan.

2022, saya uji coba lagi untuk cari sinyal di halaman belakang, ini kenapa ini kok malah X. X woy x, bukan lagi G atau E. x (silang), langka banget ini. Oke saya pun menyerah, saya pindah lagi ke depan, dan saya akhirnya mendapatkan kenang-kenangan, yak! Ulat bulu di jilbab yang bersih itu. Hummm miris, sinyalku kuat menangkap ulat bulu.

2023, saya sama seperti dulu, mengirim pesan jam sekian, terkirimnya dia atau bahkan 24 jam kemudian baru terkirim. Zoom? Sangat tidak bisa. Posting instagram? Iya bisa kok, tapi harus duduk di depan.

Dulu ngeliat anak-anak suka banget duduk di depan SD, atau di jembatan orang, kek berasa apasih ini bocah main HP doang apa ga bisa di rumah, lalu saya putar otak sekali lagi, oiya ya, ngapain di rumah, kan ga ada sinyal.

Gimana caranya tau di satu titik ada sinyal?

Pegang HP saat berkendara, lihat di mana pesan anda mulai terkirim. Begitulah saya mengukurnya.

Yaaa begitulah, mungkin Isma ini bukan satu-satunya anak muda (masih muda ni bos) yang mengeluhkan hal semacam ini, tapi biarkan Isma pada akhirnya yang curhat sedemikian ini di tanah publik ini.
