I am so sick and tired of the way people rec cdramas to other people on this site (and tbh other places). it's perfectly FINE to not know anything like the thing the person really likes but it's like.

"Omg! I watched The Office recently and really loved it! I exclusively enjoy shows about humor and modern workplace dynamics! what should I watch next?" and instead of reccing anything reasonable people are like "WATCH GAME OF THRONES YOU'LL LOVE IT!! I PROMISE ITS MY FAVORITE ENGLISH SPEAKING SHOW! totally BLEW ME AWAY when I saw it five years ago! the leads are sooo hot."

When like, maybe, idk, the correct option would be to recommend Friends to op or something.

When they were smaller, Leo and Mikey often did that “tie two cans via string to talk to each other” trick, except with the addition of them both being in their shells as they do so. For some reason, this was seen as fun to them, like a cool “secret” way to talk to each other.

Over time, they did it less and less, especially since Leo rarely retracted into his shell anymore.

But on rare occasions, Mikey would have a bad day, and things would be just a little easier completely immersed into his shell.

On those days, Leo would roll a can over to Mikey, the other can in his own hands. Then, Leo would get in his shell at Mikey’s side and just talk. He’d make bad jokes, tell funny stories, anything until Mikey is giggling and joining in.

Leo wouldn’t mention it when they pop back out of their shells, but Mikey’s grateful anyway.

And when the invasion happens and passes, and one day Leo is panicked enough to retract completely into a cracked shell, it’s Mikey’s shaky hands that roll the can over.

They don’t even need to talk - it’s enough to just have the option, to have that lifeline.

It’s again not mentioned when they pop out of their shells, but Leo’s grateful anyway.
