Jake was excited, to say the least.

he had finally scored a girls number without them thinking he was weird(ly hot).

And he prepared well for the date, he really did.

what he didnt do is show up on time.

but hey could you blame the guy? traffic was insane. the moment he reached the restaurant, he gave himself a pep talk before entering the eatery.

internally cringing at himself, jake walked into the restaurant and had no problem finding his date, who was sitting near a window.

taking a deep breath, Jake walks towards the table.

“Hey! Sophia right?” he shows his nicest smile to her. Said date turns back to acknowledge him.

“Hey hi! Yeah. What happened did you get stuck in traffic?”

Jake smiles at her sheepishly before sitting down, “Yeah i’m really really sorry about that. I even left a bit early so I could be on time.”

Sophia laughs good naturedly and Jake finds himself staring at her for a bit.
