Dragonets of Destiny AU! funky little dragons

These are their colors ik they're a lil different but canon dod's colors just did not work okay ill say it theyre a bad color combo.

As for the AU I don't have a concrete story and plot yet or ever but it was a fun thought experiment.

"What if the DOD weren't the prophecy dragonets"

Instead of being destined to stop the war they instead were five random dragons affected by war. They want to stop it not bc of an all nebulous prophecy but bc they want to, driven by desperation and hope. Maybe they'll end the war somehow or maybe they won't. Oh and the fake dod are the actual prophecy dragonets in au.

I've always felt like the arc 1 had povs that were privileged i guess? theyre a bunch of sheltered traumatized kids and they're the ones dictating how war ends bc theyre the chosen ones. I also just wanna explore different aspects of war with this au bc this arc just did not make me feel anything when it comes to it.

Honestly just a funky thing that's been stewing in my brain don't take it seriously

Clay is inspired by a highland cow,,,moss bangs also made him more red

Tsunami's inspo is a lionfish very venomous n spiky, violet bc nami is an indigo kinnie

Sunny has no inspo just made her cute, no infantilization in the tags pls!

Same w/ Starflight no inspo just vibes, made him blue bc it looks good with green i dont subscribe to gray starf

Glory's inspo is vaguely a morning glory, didn't like her orange so made her pink

Tsunami headcanons

Did you know that in The Dragonet Prophecy, Clay mentioned she has green eyes? That’s certainly going into my “she looks just like Gill and Orca” headcanon.

She has yellow highlights, a hint towards the identity of her father, Gill (he had yellow, green and brown scales, according to me).

She is not straight. I don’t know who she is yet, but she is MOST CERTAINLY not straight.

As a dragonet, she would try to enchant objects over and over again, because she was so desperate to have special powers.

Her eyes are more accustomed to the dark than those of most SeaWings, even with their night vision, because she was raised underground.

Glory and Starflight sit in a gently lit place in the rainforest. They’re bickering lightly over details of certain scrolls and books, but are both quite pleased to be in each others company. Starflight writes merrily the details and descriptions of Rainwing’s as Glory lists them. They share a deep appreciation of accurate knowledge, anatomies, and studies. A sloth hangs lazily at Glories neck, and a bird peers questioningly at Starflight from her shoulder.
