synopsis !! in which you're a playable character and you fall for another world's Diluc as your Player co-ops with a Diluc-main.

Imagine being in love with Diluc for as long as you can remember. Unfortunately for you, your Player doesn't have – or seem to want – Diluc at all.

It's not that you're that desperate to have him on the team, your usual company of four was enough! But can you really blame yourself for wanting to travel the entirety of Teyvat, uncovering mysteries and facing dangers with him? You can't help it if he's the first person you think of on a cold night! An adventure would've been a great reason to get closer to him, form a bond, fall in love– at the very least, you just want to spent time with him.

Regardless, you've given up on ever adventuring with Diluc. It's not a guarantee that you'd always stay on the team, nor are you hopeful to be on the same party as him with all the different team comps and characters showing up.

So imagine your surprise when you find yourself face to face with Diluc one day.

You notice a label next to your name.

P1 Y/N , it says. Klee, who was excitedly looking at the fish of Watatsumi's streams, tilts her head in wonder as your two other companions glitch away, only to be replaced by a different pair.

"It's the grumpy adult!" Klee squeaks, half in excitement and half in shock, "And big sister Barbara!"

"Hello Klee!" Barbara waves at the little girl. Diluc raises an eyebrow, slightly confused by the nickname before coughing into his hand. He faces you with a neutral expression. Your breath hitches in your throat.

""Hi, you must be Player 1 (Y/N) and Klee. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Diluc in Watatsumi Island looked a little out of place, a complete change from the usual Tavern and Winery you usually see him in, yet there he was – bright red hair and dark garbs contrasting the pastel backdrop.

"Ah y-yes! And you must be Player 2 Diluc and Barbara. It's nice to meet you as well." You offer your hand out to shake his, a firm grip that's warm and steady. Up close, he looks everything like the Diluc you knew from your world. The one you could only watch from afar or chat with as your bartender.

'That's because he is Diluc, you idiot' you berate.

"Hello! We look forward to working with you two," Barbara chirps next to Diluc, a wide smile on her face, "Oh especially you! Our Player doesn't actually have a (Y/N) yet, so we've never got to see what you could do."

Ah, pressure. The pressure to impress your crush.

You laugh nervously, trying to brush it off that you're simply a sub-DPS. Maybe even a support, with your Player not fully building you to your potential yet.

"It's alright, we don't need to exert ourselves too much. It seems like we're only doing commissions today anyway so. . ." Diluc offers you a small smile. The type he'd usually give in galas for the sake of being courteous, "I look forward to working with you."

What you all initially thought was a chance meeting turned into many more meetings. Your Player was religiously doing their commissions with this same person, making you meet Diluc (along with other members of his team) a lot more than you thought.

And with that came your dream of adventuring with him. From going deep into the Chasm and solving puzzles in Enkanomiya, to simple daily tasks like delivering food, your silly crush started to develop into something more legitimate.

And after nights of enjoying each others company, star-gazing, fighting bosses, and going on death-defying adventures— he falls for you.

Another world's Diluc Ragnvindr falls in love with you all the while you're desperately seeking to be something more with your own world's Diluc.

Neither of you wanted to admit to your feelings at first, there's always a sort of taboo in interacting with someone outside your world. To the Playables to Teyvat, it's an unspoken rule to keep a professional, almost business-like relationship with outworlders. After all, who needs a "replica" when you have your own "original" in your world?

Except, you can't exactly find comfort in that when your Diluc barely sees anything more than an acquaintance in you.

Imagine spending days, weeks with 2P Diluc. He's charming, lovable, treats you oh-so-preciously. He tells you about his hopes, his father, his troubles, and you tell him about yours.

He kisses you under starry nights, wraps one arm around you and gazes into your eyes before waiting for the co-op to end for the day.

When it does, you head back to Mondstadt, to the taverns, to the bar, and to see your Diluc nod at you in acknowledgment as you take your seat.

In a way, it's almost heartbreaking. Perhaps if he were given the same opportunity to travel with you, perhaps if you confessed now or hinted at it, he would be more aware of you?

But the thought of telling him "You'll love me if you just give me a chance" reeks of desperation.

"You know. . . The Player has been co-oping Klee and I with a Diluc-main lately." You casually say, tipping your drink of choice side to side as you lean over the bar.

"Oh? How was it?" Diluc preps at the espresso machine, his back turned away from you.

"Well, you certainly suit a DPS role. And commissions get done far faster than usual," only because you and Diluc wanted to spend more time traveling and doing story quests, but you don't need to mention that.

"That's good. I'm glad to hear my. . . ahem, counterpart has been helpful." He turns to you, sliding you a glass of water. You bite your lip nervously.

"We get along well, you know?" You start, eyes looking down on the bar top, "2P Diluc, I mean. I've learned a little bit more about you through him." Like how your hair's a bird's nest every morning, or your soft spot for children and fat dogs.

Diluc seems to nod at you thoughtfully, "Is that so. . . well, I suppose adventures do form that kind of bond." He chuckles, "That's nice to know."

"It would be great if we could adventure as well," You laugh into your hand, looking up at him. He raises an eyebrow, a small smile on his face as he shakes his head no.

"One Diluc is enough. I don't think I'm needed as a Playable, but do enjoy your travels."

Ah. Shot missed.

note 3 !! plot twist is DPS Barbara. and I honestly think Diluc and Barbara would get along so well in a team?? I have them together sometimes and they just both have goody two shoes vibes so they'd work well on an adventure

I wanna say how lucky you are to be dating not one but two of the most adorable beans in the whole wide world

no shush. jaywon is literally the epitome of prioritising you over them.

like with jungwon being a leader. he always looks after the boys to make sure you know everyone is okay. with jay, he likes making sure everyone is comfortable (in a motherly sense)

so like honestly…an extremely perfect care taking duo

I’d say cuddling with them 10/10

they both are amazing huggers.

jungwon’s cuddle is more of a bear kinda feel to it or more of like a cute cat coming up to you and snuggling into you bc that’s what he is. a cat.

but if you, jungwon and jay were to cuddle together all in one sitting…

it would be like this

heeseung: definitely giving the more manly vibes. kinda similar to jay where he puts his arm around your shoulder. he also likes back hugging you while you sit down. which means you sit on like his lap while your back rests on his chest.

when you, jake and heeseung cuddle in one sitting, it gets kinda hard

bc like both of them wanna cuddle you

jake usually gets whiny if he doesn’t get to hug you so heeseung has to make space and find a way to cuddle you too

somewhere along the lines, ni-ki gets whiny and wants to watch something else or do something more fun

like playing games for example so out of nowhere, all of you are playing Mario party for no reason😀

tries to convince the other to do an idea that definitely sounds questionable: hakuno: "hey wouldn't it be fun if we-" wolf: "no." (she manages to drag him into it anyway)

OKAY AH! ok. i pressed read more before starting the last paragraph so LMAO AND what in the world do you mean by they dont end up together? i mean, they technically dont, but yeah. they are a couple that arent at the same time 😌👌 basically MU, no labels. by your they don’t., i thought the story ended with them on bad terms or smth. by how much you voiced out you resentment on this specific story, i thought that it was THAT bad. bruh it was still your typical good read, xd ka ba lods. considering it in a readers point of view. i guess as the writer, you really hated that their romance was rushed BUT STILL, IT BE GOOOOOOOOD. im currently typing this ask out like half a day after i read it, since i started it like, 2 hours after sending my previous ask lol. i couldnt help myself after reading the spoiler and because i cant trust tumblr in sending asks in mobile anymore 🤥 so, expect an understandable ask, an ask that finally presented itself as organized after a very long time 😌

initially, i thought that y/n really liked changbin as seen how she noticed his loneliness from his job. or she s just another one of those detective conans, we would never know. i got very confused and curious when changbin stated that he went along seungmins shenanigans. at that time, it got me thinking deeply. does he really like her or was it also a joke? anyways, i kinda expected as much that whatever their feelings for each other were, it would end as them being friends ✨ you could really smell the platonic atmosphere that the dinner had.

next is the drunk call. THAT SCENE WAS CUTE ok? plus seungmins “don t go falling in love with me now” -> ok fine. all my reactions at that part were all "y/n sus" "rupok ni ate gurl" "TAMA KA HAECHAN, Y/N SO SUS". for some reason i keep on chanting that all throughout. but like, i GAVE her the benefit of the doubt kasi ekis sa mga marupok, CHAROT LANG. my literal feedbacks while reading:

looking closely at all they went through, the pace of their love story was mediocre (??) in my opinion that is. maybe the feelings started blooming at the time when seungmin bought cupcakes. weird af i know. bUT love works in mysterious ways ✨ above all, i doubt that the whole series covered all their message exchanges. if you look at it outside of the box, im sure there are still one of those behind-the-scenes moments. and seungmin being there for y/n s anxiety attack can really increase her affection for him. maybe at first it was curiosity about seungmin, he s the dorky type naman e HAHAHHAAHA then maybe it developed into fondness 🤷 i think its maybe because you werent able to elaborate more of their love story and that s why i love how open-ended it was. i hope you find the motivation to continue its season 2 bc i really enjoyed reading it 🤪 i ll just be here, waiting for the sequel but also take your time hehe 😗✌

yeah but that i meant that it’s not ur typical “uwu ily so much mwah mwah” ending 🤧😭 i do really love the ending though, like it’s open-ended in a nice way that they’re on their way to start a new page of their life together but not really ~together~. like all y/n wanted was to have some friends that isn’t haechan (and find out who she really is outside the city) while seungmin wants to pursue his passions without the barrier of him being poor and they were both able to give it to each other, intentionally or not. i love the ending, i just don’t like HOW i got there, i.e. rushed af. that’s why y/n seems so marupok, das my fault, but blame seungmin, he’s too hot 🤧.

also perhaps y/n and changbin’s feelings for each other moreso simmered down to mutual respect towards a person within the same industry. y/n loved being behind the scenes and she liked what she saw in changbin’s works, meanwhile changbin met y/n through haechan, someone who’s pursuing the career that he wanted all along so yeah. they both just confused it with romantic “like”. they are dumdums ig. makes sense for y/n though bc she’s never left her circle, and once she was able to meet new people, she realized what true like feels like. anyway idk why i keep talking about it, ig i’m just forcing myself to like it idk 😭

and yeah let’s just pass it off to behind the scenes interactions, that’s definitely it 🤪🤪🤪. i WISH i’d get the motivation for season 2 but idk, i’ll think about it.

seungmin x jeongin sounds like you’re shipping them together pls 😭😭 friends to enemies to lovers???? also i’m excited about what you’ll think about seungmin in SLC 🙈🙈🙈
