Thanh niên 21 tuổi ngoại hình già nua như ông lão trăm tuổi

Rupesh Kumar, 21 tuổi, sống tại làng Hanumanganj, Ấn Độ mắc hội chứng đột biến gen Hutchison - Gilford, khiến cơ thể già đi với tốc độ nhanh hơn 8 lần so với người thường, Mirror đưa tin. 

Rupesh chỉ nặng 20 kg và được coi như "dị nhân Benjamin Button" già nhất thế giới sau khi người mắc chứng bệnh tương tự sống tại Nam Phi qua đời ở tuổi 26 (Benjamin Button là nhân vật sinh ra trong hình dáng ông lão 80 tuổi nhưng chết đi với hình hài một đứa trẻ sơ sinh trong truyện ngắn của nhà văn Mỹ  F. Scott Fitzgerald).

Rupesh phát bệnh từ khi 2 tuổi, từ đó cơ thể cậu có dấu hiệu lão hóa: ngừng lớn, rụng tóc, da nhăn nheo, răng lung lay, cơ bắp teo lại. Tình trạng sức khỏe của cậu không mấy khả quan khi hộp sọ ngày một dài ra.

Bố của Rupesh là ông Ramapati Kumar, 45 tuổi, làm nghề nông, cho biết: "Tất cả bắt đầu với những cơn nhức đầu và đau dạ dày từ khi thằng bé còn rất nhỏ, chúng tôi đưa nó đến gặp bác sĩ nhưng không ai trong số đó chẩn đoán được tình trạng của Rupesh. Họ kê cho nó vài loại thuốc và bảo chúng tôi về nhà". 

Ông Kumar còn cho biết khoảng 5 năm trước, có một nhóm người đến làng, tìm gặp Rupesh: "Tôi tưởng họ là những người tốt muốn giúp thằng bé chữa bệnh nhưng tôi đã rất sốc khi họ đề nghị mua con trai tôi để làm trò tiêu khiển trong gánh xiếc. Họ nói sẽ trả cho chúng tôi 300.000 rupee (hơn 100 triệu đồng). Tôi mời họ ra khỏi nhà, dù có đưa 10 triệu rupee tôi cũng không bao giờ bán con trai mình".

Bác sĩ Yugantar Pandey cho biết: "Rupesh mắc hội chứng lão hóa. Giống như các trường hợp mắc bệnh khác, con ngươi của cậu ấy thụt vào trong, da tím tái. Triệu chứng thường xuất hiện trong 2 năm đầu đời, người bệnh sẽ chết ở độ tuổi 13 đến 15, chỉ có một số ít như Rupesh mới sống được đến năm 21 tuổi".

Cha mẹ Rupesh đã viết thư cầu cứu Thủ tướng Ấn Độ vì gia cảnh nghèo khó khiến họ không thể chữa trị cho con trai.

These are the mainest main characters.

Top left: Chandrabhan (Chandra) Phukan. He is pansexual.

Top right: Benudhar (Benu) Acharya (Chandra's partner). He is bisexual.

Bottom left: Nilmitra (Nil) Goswami (Chandra's childhood bestie). He is straight.

Bottom right: Gayatri (Gaya) Rabha (Nil's partner and member of the GayaNilChand trio). She is straight.

These two are roommates, and have been roommates for 10 years in the gurukul (basically a Vedic-system school) now. Chandra on arriving in the gurukul for the first time becomes roommates with these two.

Yug (Yugantar) hates Chandra's future boyfriend, Benu due to some feud their families had with each other (I will get to it later prolly) and Sudem and Chandra are like stuck in this unwanted beef. Sudem, however, will always be on Yug's side, even though secretly he asks Yug to not be so mean to Benu for something that was out of his hands.

Yug is aroace.

Sudem's sexuality is unknown (he doesn't tell me wtf) but he's mostly straight.

We all know about Gayatri by now.

Alpana and Yangkyi are her friends, and swimming buddies.

Yangkyi is also Sudem's future love interest, and she is like Richie Tozier to Sudem's Eddie Kaspbrak. Go figure. Yangkyi's sexuality is fluid and her ex's name is Ganga (Haven't drawn her yet).

Alpana is aroace but she becomes good friends with Yug (aroace duo).

Poumit was also Nil's roommate in the beginning. Then he shifted with Yug and Sudem after Chandra shifted to Nil's.

Gyan is a minor character who becomes a friend of Nil.

Poumit is straight.

Gyan is also straight.

1. Abhigyan (Benu's cousin and initial roommate, but he later shifts with Nil after Chandra shifts with Benu). He is straight.

2. Ganga (Yangkyi's ex. She wanted a poly relationship after she cheated on Yangkyi with another boy but Yangkyi refused). She is probably polysexual idk.

3. Arun (one of Nil's friends). Straight man.

4. Harideb and Udipti Phukan (Chandra's parents)

5. Yug and Benu's parents.

6. Jyotirmoy Rajbongshi (Harideb's friend. He's a middle-aged gay man.)

7. Himabhas (the gurukul owner and teacher.) And his family. He has two sons- Amrit and Pradyut. They help him in running the gurukul.

8. Mr. Kakoti (The Phukans' neighbor and Harideb's friend.) Straight guy.

More characters and updates on them and the story may/will come as my book progresses.
