@amaluelmwood insoles are good if you work in retail/food service because you're on your feet all day, and it can really hurt, being in pain while working uses so much more energy than being comfortable and working

I can't find the executive function to draw? (If it helps, I normally draw in a normal sketchbook or with my Wacom digital drawing tablet)
I can’t exactly break this down, but setting everything up before hand so it looks all ready to draw usually helps me. I also tend to like making a list of specific things I wanna draw, rather than just leaving it open. You can then go through the list each time, deciding what you wanna do based on how you feel that day. Get yourself a drink, make sure there’s no jobs/things you can use as an excuse to procrastinate, and sit down. Also, going toilet first helps so you dont use that as an excuse or go toilet half way through and come back with no motivation

Hello! I need to go through my room and throw away things I don't want/use anymore? (awesome blog btw, it's really helpful)
Thank you!
1) Decide which part of the room to start with, best to do the messiest first so it’s out the way
2) Take 3 seperate bin bags and label them “charity”, “trash” and “to keep”
If you don’t have anything to label with thats fine but keep them seperate so you can tell them apart
3) Start picking up stuff and deciding whether it’s rubbish/broken (for trash bag), unwanted but in good condition/ usable (for charity bag), or something you want to keep (for to keep bag)
4) Carry on as you go through the room, messiest to smallest.
5) If a bag gets full, get a new one and put that to the side with some clear way of telling what type of bag it is.
If this isn’t what you meant / need more help, please send another ask!

Having to wash dishes after I use them. I know it's silly but I'm so bad about just leaving stuff "to soak" or putting it off
1) Finish eating
2) Put some washing up liquid in the washing up bowl/plugged sink
3) Fill it with hot water
4) Put the dishes in to the water
5) Set yourself a timer on your phone or something for 10 minutes.
6) Set another timer for 5 minutes after that, just in case.
7) Wait till the timer goes off
8) Go clean the dishes, they should be ready by now.
If you wanted help on the washing part, send us another ask!

How do I figure out what I need to get done and prioritize it?
1). think of everything you need to do in a day, write it down
2). make sure you write enjoyable things!
4). think of the consequences of not completing each thing
5). highlight things that would be okay if you didn’t do with green, things that would be inconveniencing if you didn’t do them with yellow, and things that would be dangerous with red
6). start with the red things, top to bottom, then the yellow, then the green

How can I make myself do things, even ones I like? I run a dungeons and dragons group, and no matter how hard I try I don't even get to writing things down until a few hours before...
This ones tough, but here are some tips:
set alarms plenty of time in advance
break the writing down into mini-goals (ie. 1 paragraph, not 1 page)
turn off notifications when your working
take a break every half hour to keep your mind de-cluttered

Thank you for this blog! I've found some really great tips, and even better, comfort in that I'm not the only one who struggles to do 'normal' things. It's really refreshing to see people offering help with the neurodivergent™ things that no one ever talks about, and that offers validation so thank you so very much!
absolutely!! i try and help as much as i can

this blog is such a blessing dude tysm for this!! can you help me break down the task of shifting my sleep schedule earlier (ie, from sleeping from 3am - 11am to sleeping from 12pm - 8am) so i can get enough rest for my classes?
1). take it slow, move things back 15 minutes to half hour every couple days so it’s not to drastic
2). avoid caffine after 6pm
3). set an alarm early to account for snoozing it
4). plan things that you feel are worth waking up for

Avoiding burnouts at work
-drink and eat plenty -find quiet space (you can stay in the bathroom about 3-4 minutes) -take an ibuprofen if you're sore -get a fidget to use discreetly -use insoles in your shoes -find helpful tasks you enjoy (dishes, sweeping, wiping things down, etc...)
