How many times have you started a diet and never finished? How many of you have jobs in the service industry and don’t feel like you have time or energy for weight loss? ⁣⁣ _⁣⁣ Trust me, I’ve been that person at least a thousand times. Sometimes it’s so hard to understand what it takes to lose weight, especially with all the information online, social media, television, and advertising. The gimmicks don’t work. No weight loss tea, weight loss shake, toning device, spot reduction, or any other advertised product will get you the results you want.⁣⁣

I grew up morbidly obese.

My entire life revolved around obesity! Health and fitness literally saved my life. ⠀⁣ It’s not about how I look today; it’s about how I feel. It’s about the changes I made. ⠀⁣ Yes I had surgery. Yes I had my skin removed. But that takes NOTHING away from the hours spent on my hard work. 5-6 Days a week for the last 3 years I’ve been going to the gym and putting 100% of my heart into it. For the last 3 years I’ve been making healthier choices for myself with a balanced, clean diet. Surgery did not do that. Surgery will never do that. It will never be the easy way out. ⠀⁣ Nothing and nobody made me loose weight, other than myself. I told myself to wake up everyday and chase after my dream & that was to loose weight. I was about to hit 300lbs at 17 years old, and I told myself, I refuse to live like this anymore. ⠀⁣ Walking was hard. Bending over was hard. Talking long sentences was fucking hard. LIVING A NORMAL LIFE WAS HARD! ⠀⁣ Now; I’m on my way to be a future competitor. To body build and live the truth that anything is possible.⠀⁣ Nothing is stopping you from changing. Absolutely nothing. There is no quick fix to getting up and doing what needs done. But I will tell you this; explore your options. ⠀⁣ Try different things. See what works for you. Nobody is the same, my path may not work for you, but maybe it will. Get out of your comfort and research your questions, trial answers error anything you want to try! ⠀⁣ People will discredit my work and say I took the easy way out.. I see it as, I saved my life. And I have a second chance at a life. I’m healthy. I am happy. And I’m extremely at peace with the lifestyle I learned to love. Comments will always be said; but nothing will take away from the hours spent in the gym or the late nights meal prepping; all because it felt good, to live healthy. ⠀⁣ Every mile ran, I’m thankful for. Every mess up, I’m thankful for. Every breakdown, and every happy dance, I’m thankful for. Because every moment is and will forever be worth it for the life I live today. And I’m thankful I’m healthy enough to see today.⠀⁣

Reducing your calorie intake is a good method to lose weight. Therefore, strict diets that completely eliminate with an “all or nothing” mindset are less likely to lose weight.

To those people who are saying "it's surgery"... That doesn't mean she didn't do any effort to get the result. I meet some people who had bariatric surgery and it's very hard, with a big stomach prepare yourself for the surgery because you can only eat liquid food. And that it's terrible for a person who has a really big stomach.

At one point I would look at before & After and tell myself. That will never be me, yet here I am. Left picture Jan 2020 at 313lbs compared to the right Jun 2021 at 223lbs and counting! I am a before & after, it doesn’t stop there. This journey is one that will never end because I always want to work on myself & make sure I feel amazing for myself!
