As someone who recently had a kitten go missing and has had both my cats and neighbors cats kidnapped before: I wonder how often 'the cat distribution system' is actually cats being stolen from their owners and how devastated those people must be and how much the cats miss them.
"But it has fleas!"
Cats get fleas, even inside cats, for all you know it was an hour from a flea bath.
"It shouldn't have been an outside cat, it's wonky!"
First of all, that's ableist, cats aren't 'wonky' they're disabled, second of all, cats get outside sometimes despite their owners best efforts, even disabled ones.
"It wasn't microchipped!"
Can I come kidnap your baby because it doesn't have an electronic chip stuck in its neck?!

Watching middle class people talking non stop about Palestine and the horrible conditions and how they wished they could donate food and such directly to the people as if they couldn't find identical conditions a few miles from their house they could help with.
"A woman posted her breakfast and it was literally just a moldy orange" yeah and tons of Americans would be lucky to have that, but the thing is, you don't care about helping people in need, you care about helping people who are going viral for being in need.
This isn't an anti helping Palestine post, far from it anything you can give them do, and I know they have more going on than moldy fruit, but you can't talk about the poverty and shortages in Palestine and then make fun of the family down the road who dumpster dive.
Palestine is important and needs help and support, but they're not the only ones. If you actually tried to help people in need that you could instead of posting 5 tiktoks a day about Palestine the world would actually be improving. Again, help Palestine, but don't make pity posts about them while they're trending and ignore the people you can help, just to start also ignoring them when it's not cool anymore.
Anyone remember Ukraine? Y'all know that's still going on, right?
Pathetic. All y'all are is pathetic.

The people who insisted for years that no matter who you are, what your gender is, or how much you know about J.K. Rowling if you're in the Harry Potter fandom you're transphobic after their perfect authors were revealed as zionists:

Things as an author I wish more people, especially new authors knew:
1) Finding tips online is great, but if they don't work for you, ignore the. I don't care if Kacey May(this is a random name, I'm not trying to target anyone, if I do it was an accident and I've never heard of them) says you should never edit as you go along and should wait until you've written it all, if you're like me and have to edit while you write for it to sound right or whatever, do so. There's no rules on how you can or can't write/edit/etc.
2) Also on the topic of writing however you want: if you don't want to spend hours researching the development of language so you can make yours then don't, it's your language, you make all the rules
3) It's totally fine to set a fantasy in modern day/in the real world
4) Writing first and foremost should be fun, if it makes you feel bad you need to take a break, and evaluate why so it doesn't happen again
5) It's about your story not your age or how long you've been writing; a poorly written book with a good story is better than a fantastically written book with a bad story
6) Write for yourself first, your personal important people second, your target audience third, critics fourth, and everyone else last
7) Names don't have to have meanings if you don't want them to; you can just name your character Nancy Jones because you like what it sounds like
8) Writing is hard, don't expect otherwise
9) Writing only one draft or one hundred before you publish doesn't make you a better writer or your book a better story, it depends on how many times you need to rewrite it to be happy with the product
10) If worst comes to worst and you absolutely cannot come up with a date or name or ethnicity or whatever or you just don't want to, there are random generators for everything online. Just Google "*name of what you need, such as 'date'*random generator"

People naming babies: You have to do something basic/classic like Michael or Emma. You're naming an adult and adults want normal names!
People naming themself: Ooh, what about Cerulean? Or Cato? Maybe even Friday would be cool?!

Physically disabled people when one post about shower tips is made for neurodivergent people instead of them:
Tumblr media
I'm so fucking tired of other physically disabled people acting like they're the disabled ones and the rest of us are just using disability as a way to seem special. Not everything is about you, get over it.
(I'm physically disabled and this is based on a post I just saw complaining about a list of showering tips not centering around physically disabled people which also made the tips for ND's sound ridiculous and not really needed, including the tips for people who have things like seizures and PTSD related to water)

"If you're sighted enough to see the picture, you have no excuse to not do image descriptions"
No.
Image descriptions are important, but no. I was going to do a lengthier post on why I can't do Image descriptions 99% of the time despite my vision problems not inhibiting me, but I can’t for the same reason I can't do Image descriptions and why I have to use suggested word banks and people help to make posts on good days, and still then not half punctuated or capitalized or grammared correctly.

Sick of posts that say stuff like "all mobility aid users should weaponize their mobility aids"
hey man, I can't do that! I need to bring my mobility aids into places that would deny me entrance for things like spikes and barbed wire! not every cripplepunk is a white skinny cane user, and having something deemed as a 'weapon' on some of us can be genuinely life threatening, even if it's a mobility aid! I don't want to have my rollator taken away from me and have to be searched bc I put some spikes on a seat cover or something!!! let cripplepunks express their punkness however is safe and comfortable for them, don't expect us all to be able to do the same things you can, because we all cant

😔 Litterally what fanfic writer hurt you. I'm all for freeing Palestinians but random Americans donating 5 dollars to a website ain't gonna change shit
Ao3’s asking for donations, and surpassed their goal. Interesting.
Preserving fanfiction is more important to these donators than putting what money they have towards relief aids.

"That person gave 5 cents to the change jar in a store. Preserving capitalism is more important to them than ending a war on a different continent that their president is actively supporting"
You sound ridiculous.

Names I'm so mad my parents didn't name me(from the perspective of a southerner)
1) Rosemary: 1st of all it was my grandmama's name, 2nd of all its a spice; what's to lose?! (Also it's my mama's favorite color)
2) Clementine: The song My Darling, Clementine is important here, everybody knows it, not defending the meaning or anything, but if you're not from here you can't possibly understand the significance
3) Loretta/Lynn: Really popular country singer who came from Kentucky. I'm not proud of her beliefs and there are way better country singers to be named after, but I can only expect so much from my parents
4) Luna: It's just pretty and what my mama was gonna name her first kid if he'd been a girl
5) Maddie: It's a complicated and personal story I don't have the energy to tell right now, but it's important to my life
6) (Ela)Nora: It just gives off classy southern vibes that I love

I just want to develop diabetes already and get it done with. I'm tired of this whole "everyone assumes you're diabetic because you're fat but you're not even close to pre-diabetic but also you have most of the symptoms of diabetes and also every time you've ever checked your blood sugar it's either been under 60 or over 130 and both your parents and also a bunch of other family members have diabetes and went through this exact expirence before being diagnosed but at the same time you've been tested for being insulin resistant and you're not and surely they'd check for the opposite at the same time, then again this is doctors we're talking about" thing
