Title: little lotus (Explicit)
Author: RennieOnIceCream
Word Count: 34, 621 (Multi-Chapter, Complete)
Summary: If one asked Lan Xichen about having children a few years ago, he would’ve said the idea of a family was nice, but it was entirely impossible for him.Having the leader of the Jiang Sect for a partner, he should’ve known -- impossibilities were always achievable.
Comment: Ah, love is in the air. This fic is full of fluff and centrally focused on Xicheng and the woes and joys of being first time parents. With Lan Xichen strutting round and fussing about Wanyin, it is one hell of a ride through tooth gritting fluffiness! Give it a read if you want some xicheng family dynamics.

Title: My a-niang’s name is jiùjiu. (My mother’s name is ‘uncle’.) (T & Up)
Author: Meridians
Word Count: 2,813 (One-shot Complete)
Summary: Living happily with his a-niang (who wore purple robe with Zǐdiàn in his hand), Jin Ling accidentally had his future a- diē.
Comments: This is just an adorable and hilarious one-shot! Baby Jin Ling is pertaining to his jiujiu as his a-niang but only in private. My heart feels so warm with the over all cuteness of this story! Wherein one thing happens that will make jiujiu embarrassed in the process. What it is? Better read to find out! A relatively short read but with a really tooth-rotting element.

Emotion prompts; 12) “Holy shit, is that a tattoo?” For Xicheng bonus if Xichen is the one with the tattoo but I don’t mind which one 🤓♥️
So, this is a little bit of a twist on the prompt, but I think you’ll like it!  It was fun to write
It was a normal day for Jiang Cheng as he was waiting outside the school for children’s parents to come and get their child.  Most parents came on time, like right after school, to come and get their kids, but there were always a few parents that had to work late, so Jiang Cheng stayed with the children until a certain time when he then would have to take them over to the after school care program.  Today, most parents came to get their child right after school, save for one parent, Lan Xichen, Lan Jingyi’s father, which surprised Jiang Cheng, because Lan Xichen was always on time or early to pick Lan Jingyi up.
‘Maybe he’s working late today’ Jiang Cheng thought to himself, just as a black escalade pulled up to the “Waiting Shed” as all of the children called it.  Jiang Cheng frowned as he looked at the car before he looked down at Lan Jingyi.
“Jingyi, do you know this car?” he asked.  Lan Jingyi looked at the car and smiled.
“That’s Uncle Wangji’s car” he replied.  Jiang Cheng frowned as he looked at the car.
‘Since when did Lan Wangji drive an Escalade?’ he wondered, just as the passenger side door opened and Wei Wuxian stepped out, a look on his face.
“Wei Wuxian?  What are you doing here?” Jiang Cheng asked, frowning.  Wei Wuxian shook his head.
“No time to explain.  Get in the car.  Both of you” he ordered.  Jiang Cheng frowned again but by the look on his older brother’s face, he thought it best not to argue with him, so he just took Lan Jingyi’s hand and led him over to the Escalade and opened the back door for him, letting him hop in first before he slid in after him.  Wei Wuxian then got back in the car before turning to look at Jiang Cheng.
“How good are you at shooting a gun?” he asked.  Jiang Cheng looked at him in shock.
“Excuse me?!” he exclaimed.  Wei Wuxian fixed him with a look.
“A-Cheng, this is important.  Can you shoot a gun or not?” he demanded.  Jiang Cheng was quiet before he nodded.
“I can shoot.  Not as good as Shijie, but I have a decent shot” he replied.  Wei Wuxian nodded before he handed him a gun, which he took cautiously.
“Want to at least tell me what’s going on?” he asked as Lan Wangji pulled away from the Waiting Shed and began to drive out of the elementary school’s parking lot.
“Uncle Wuxian, where’s my dad?” Lan Jingyi asked.
“Kidnapped” Lan Wangji answered bluntly.  Lan Jingyi’s eyes widened in shock while Jiang Cheng looked at Wei Wuxian in confusion.
“The hell do you mean he’s been kidnapped?” he snapped.  Wei Wuxian sighed and glanced back at him.
“Do you know what we do for a living?” he asked.  Jiang Cheng gave him a look.
“You’re mobsters; I don’t want to know what you do for a living” he replied.  Wei Wuxian chuckled.
“Good answer” he agreed before he sighed heavily.
“Lan Xichen’s head of the Gusu Lans, one of the largest mafia in China.  Apparently, he got into a traffic accident on the way to pick up Jingyi and some guys nabbed him.  Hence, he’s been kidnapped” he explained.
“Is my dad okay?” Lan Jingyi asked, tears in his eyes.  Wei Wuxian looked over at his nephew and smiled slightly.
“From what I’ve heard, he’s okay” he replied.  Lan Jingyi sniffled before he began to cry, making Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian look at one another before Jiang Cheng reached over and pulled Lan Jingyi against him, rubbing his back soothingly.  Lan Jingyi cried against Jiang Cheng for a while before he finally settled down and fell asleep.  Once he was asleep, Jiang Cheng tapped Wei Wuxian’s shoulder, making him glance back.
“Hmm?” he asked.
“Why, exactly, do I need a gun?” Jiang Cheng asked.  Wei Wuxian chuckled.
“Just in case” he replied.  Jiang Cheng hummed as he continued to rub Lan Jingyi’s back while Lan Wangji continued to drive to wherever the hell Lan Xichen was being held.
~*~*~*~*~
When they arrived at their destination, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji got out first before Wei Wuxian poked his head back into the car.
“A-Cheng, stay here with Jingyi.  The bastards might try and attack the car and if anything happens to Jingyi, Lan Xichen will have all our heads, so watch him” he instructed.  Jiang Cheng nodded as did Lan Jingyi, who had woken up from his little crying-induced nap.  Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian then ran off, Lan Jingyi clinging to Jiang Cheng as Jiang Cheng watched his brother and brother in law run off to save Lan Xichen.  He didn’t hear anything for a while until there was suddenly a knock on the window.  Jiang Cheng jumped before he looked over to see a man in a suit and sunglasses standing before his window with a gun.
“Get out of the car” the man growled.  Jiang Cheng huffed before he unlocked the car and opened it, silently cursing Lan Wangji that he didn’t lock the car because if he had locked it and Jiang Cheng had opened the door, the alarm would have gone off.  But, since he didn’t lock the door, the alarm didn’t go off.
‘Looks like we’re going to have to do this the old fashioned way’ he thought to himself as he looked down at Lan Jingyi.
“Stay here.  I’ll be right back” he assured.  Lan Jingyi nodded and let go of Jiang Cheng, allowing him to step out of the car and get the barrel of a gun pointed in his face.
“The kid comes out too” the man in the suit ordered.  Jiang Cheng shook his head.
“I don’t think so” he replied.  The man in the suit pointed the gun in his face.
“Get him out” he ordered.  Jiang Cheng snarled before he suddenly reached up and effortlessly wrenched the gun out of the man’s hand, pointing it back at the man.
“I don’t particularly appreciate having a gun shoved in my face” he snarled before he cocked the gun and pulled the trigger, hitting the man between the eyes.  He watched the man crumple to the ground as the car door opened and Lan Jingyi poked his head out.
“Mr. Jiang?  Is everything okay?” he asked.  Jiang Cheng looked back at him and smiled.
“Everything fine, Jingyi.  I’m going to go look for my brother and your uncle, okay?  Stay here” he instructed.  Lan Jingyi nodded and slipped his head back inside the car, shutting the door.  Jiang Cheng then walked around to the driver’s side and opened the door, pressing the “lock all doors” button before he grabbed the keys that were still in the ignition and slammed the door shut.  He then ran away from the car, hoping that Lan Jingyi would be okay.
~*~*~*~*~
Jiang Cheng then ran into the abandoned warehouse that was on the property and looked around, trying to find where Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian had gone when he found them collapsed on the ground, unconscious.
“Oh shit” he whispered before he rushed over to them, checking their pulse to make sure the that they were still alive and thankfully, they were.  He then looked around to see where the fuck Lan Xichen was when he found him, with his hands bound together and hanging from a chain, cuts and bruises covering his entire body.
“Mr. Lan!” Jiang Cheng exclaimed, running over to him.  As he neared him and walked around him, trying to figure out how to get him down, he paused when he saw his back.
“Holy shit…is that a tattoo?” he whispered as he stared at what looked like a large tattoo of what he thought was the Gusu Lan crest on his back, which made his mouth drop open in shock.
‘Lan Xichen never seemed like the type to get tattoos’ he thought to himself before he shook himself out of it and continued to search for the device that lowered the chain when he heard a gun click echo throughout the warehouse.  He froze and looked up, eyes widening in horror when he saw a man dressed in black holding a gun to a crying Lan Jingyi’s head.
“Jingyi!” he exclaimed.
“Mr. Jiang” Lan Jingyi sobbed.  The man in black smirked as he pressed the gun against Lan Jingyi’s head.
“Take one step and I’ll blow his brains out” he threatened.  Jiang Cheng growled.
“He’s just a boy” he argued.  The man in black chuckled.
“And you’re just a schoolteacher and yet…you’re not” he replied.  Jiang Cheng huffed.
“I left that life a long time ago” he argued.  The man in black chuckled again.
“But it seems that that life didn’t leave you” he replied.  Jiang Cheng growled and clutched the gun in his hand tighter as the man in black smiled.
“So, what you’re going to do is drop the gun and kick it over to me.  And then you’re going to get on your knees” he instructed.
“And what if I don’t?” Jiang Cheng challenged.  The man in black smiled as he pressed the gun harder against Lan Jingyi’s head, making the boy cry out.
“I’ll blow his brains out” he replied.  Jiang Cheng growled but did as he was told and placed the gun on the ground before kicking it over to the man.  He then got down on his knees, growling at the smile on the man in black’s face.
“Excellent.  Now you get a front row seat to watching me kill this child” he declared.  Jiang Cheng’s eyes widened.
“No!” he shouted but before the man in black could do anything, a bullet hole suddenly appeared before his eyes and he fell back, dead.
“Jingyi!” Jiang Cheng exclaimed, pushing himself to his feet before rushing over to the young boy, bundling him into his arms.  Lan Jingyi buried his face in Jiang Cheng’s shoulder as Jiang Cheng held him tightly, looking around to see where that gunshot came from.
“A-Cheng” a soft voice called out, making Jiang Cheng’s eyes widen before he looked over his shoulder to see his older sister, Jiang Yanli and her husband, Jin Zixuan standing there.
“A-Jie” he breathed.  Jiang Yanli smiled fondly at him before she looked over to see Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji unconscious on the ground.
“A-Xian!” she exclaimed, running over to them, Jin Zixuan following.  While they were fussing over them, Jiang Cheng looked down at Lan Jingyi.
“Didn’t I tell you to stay in the car?” he scolded.  Lan Jingyi sniffled as he pulled away from Jiang Cheng’s embrace, looking him in the eyes.
“I did stay in the car!  They broke my window and opened the door!” he exclaimed.  Jiang Cheng was quiet before he pulled Lan Jingyi into another hug.
“I’m sorry I yelled.  I was just worried” he apologized.  Lan Jingyi shook his head and buried his face in Jiang Cheng’s shoulder again as Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli walked over to them.
“We’ll take A-Xian and Hanguang-Jun home.  Can you manage Zewu-Jun?” Jiang Yanli asked.  Jiang Cheng looked over at her and nodded.
“I’ll take care of it” he assured.  Jiang Yanli smiled before she and Jin Zixuan walked back to Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian, helping both men to their feet before guiding them out of the warehouse.  Once they were gone, Jiang Cheng looked down at Lan Jingyi.
“Stay here” he instructed.  Lan Jingyi nodded and pulled away from the hug, allowing Jiang Cheng to stand to his feet and look for the device that lowered Lan Xichen.  He soon found it and pressed the “lower” button, slowly lowering Lan Xichen to the ground.  After he was on the ground, Jiang Cheng quickly unbound Lan Xichen’s hands before carefully picking him up bridal style.  He then carried Lan Xichen over to Lan Jingyi, who was looking at his injured father with wide eyes.
“Come on, Jingyi.  Let’s go home” Jiang Cheng declared.  Lan Jingyi nodded and followed Jiang Cheng out of the warehouse and back to the car.
~*~*~*~*~
Jiang Cheng drove Lan Jingyi and Lan Xichen back to his small apartment.  Once they were inside, Jiang Cheng instructed Lan Jingyi to go lie down in the guest room and get some rest, since it had been a long day, while he took Lan Xichen to his bedroom, the master bedroom.  He then carefully placed Lan Xichen on the bed before walking into the bathroom to get a couple of washrags and his first aid kit, since he decided that he was going to clean and bandage Lan Xichen’s wounds.  He then wet two washrags and walked back into his bedroom, beginning to clean Lan Xichen’s wounds.  From his experience of patching Wei Wuxian up after he came from…whatever it was that he did, Jiang Cheng was quick and efficient in cleaning the wounds, getting rid of the blood that had coagulated on Lan Xichen’s body, making sure to clean the edges of the wounds well so that they wouldn’t get infected.  Once Lan Xichen was as clean as he was going to get, Jiang Cheng took out his first aid kit and began to patch up Lan Xichen’s wounds.  As he was patching him up, Lan Xichen slowly came back to consciousness, blinking as he tried to assess his surroundings.
“Don’t do anything stupid, I just finished bandaging your wounds” Jiang Cheng grumbled, making Lan Xichen look over at him in confusion.
“Mr. Jiang.  What—” he started when Jiang Cheng huffed.
“Your brother and mine came to get me and Jingyi from school, telling us that you got kidnapped.  We rescued you and my sister and her husband took Wangji and Wei Wuxian back to their house while I took you and Jingyi back to mine.  And don’t worry about Jingyi, he’s fine, he’s asleep in my guest room” he stated.  Lan Xichen was quiet before he smiled and dipped his head.
“Thank you” he thanked.  Jiang Cheng shrugged.
“You’re just lucky that your son’s teacher used to be a mobster before he became a kindergarten teacher.  Because if it had been anybody else, I don’t think you would have gotten out of there” he stated.  Lan Xichen hummed before he realized that he was shirtless and his eyes widened.
“Did you—” he started when Jiang Cheng nodded.
“I saw it.  And I promise I won’t say anything.  I know you have a reputation and an image to uphold and if word gets out about what you really do well…it won’t look to go for you and Jingyi” he replied.  Lan Xichen smiled.
“Thank you.  Really” he thanked.  Jiang Cheng waved his hand.
“It’s whatever.  I’m just glad I could help” he stated.  Lan Xichen smiled again before he looked at Jiang Cheng.
“If there’s anything you ever need, just let me know” he instructed.  Jiang Cheng smirked.
“Don’t make me an offer like that, Mr. Lan.  I might just take you up on it” he teased.  Lan Xichen chuckled.
“I hope you do, Mr. Jiang” he replied.  Jiang Cheng smirked while Lan Xichen smiled.
“I think this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, Mr. Jiang” Lan Xichen declared.  Jiang Cheng hummed.
“Or maybe something more” he offered.  Lan Xichen raised an eyebrow before he chuckled.
“Or maybe something more” he agreed.

social worker!jiang cheng & kids head canon
okay yall this is the 2nd part (I’m in the middle of trying to finish off two chapters for ‘falling in love with the right person’  fic. So update soon. But here is some added jiang cheng & kids. (First headcanon here)
Tumblr media
(please ignore the subtitle )
- Jin Ling is the first child Jiang Cheng took into his care, he was very loud and angry but after Jiang Cheng gets him a plushie of a husky(Fairy) the older man becomes his favourite person in the whole world. Even going as far as to try and copy his hairstyle (luckily JC got the scissors out of the little boy’s hands in time)
- The Lan twins are quiet and tend to keep to themselves, JC understands as he gets the two a couple of plain white notebooks and a few pens, pencils and colouring pencils. Judging by the fact Sizhui likes to write and Jingyi prefers to draw. (the two warm up to him after witnessing JC play with Jin Ling, the smile on the older man’s face helps just as much)
-The twins and Jin Ling at one point don’t eat as much as children should, so JC starts feeding them everytime he sees them, whether it’s snacks or usually his sister’s infamous Lotus & Pork Ribs soup, he’s ensuring they get their fill. (Jin Ling & the twins make a pact to always ensure JC eats with them as well, even going as far as to whine that there si too much food :) :) :) )
-Xue Yang had nightmares, until one night they stopped, he hadn’t realised it was due to JC singing to him in the night, until Mo Xuanyu commented about it doing breakfast. (none the less Xue Yang feigns sleep just to hear JC sing to him from now on)
Xue Yang: no more nightmares
Mo Xuanyu: yeah dad-i mean jiang cheng’s a good singer
Xue Yang: wait what- *insert surprised pikachu face*
-the first time the kids meet Wei Wuxian they think he’s a suitor of JC’s and spend the entire weekend trying to get rid of him. Cue adorable kids feigning injuries and stomach aches to keep Wei Wuxian away from JC, (it nearly works, nearly until Sizhui admits their plans “GODDAMN IT A YUAN” - Xue Yang facepalms)
- Mo Xuanyu was the hardest kid to take into his care, it took Nie Mingjue AND Lan Qiren to get approval to take away from his guardians (added help from Mingjue’s fiancee Meng Yao who knew Mo Xuanyu) The kid doesn’t let go of Jiang Cheng the entire first night he stays at Jiang Cheng’s home.
-Xue Yang is automatically the default adult they go too, if they have issues they do not want to bring up to Jiang Cheng (bullies at school, unwanted adults hitting on JC, forgetting to let the puppies go out to pee). Xue Yang honestly has face palmed too many times, the other kids see him as a second Jiang Cheng.
-Mo Xuanyu realises he sees JC as a father when the man picks him up from piano lessons, and he’s so scared that the others will tease him and berate him, he avoids JC when Xue Yang finds out, he takes Mo Xuanyu to the side and asks him why he’s being distant and the younger boy tells him. Then Xue Yang is rocking his fellow brother to sleep in his arms, humming the same lullabye JC sings him to sleep with. They sleep warm and peaceful, JC tucking them in before leaving them to sleep.
-Jingyi has trouble with school, it gets to the point he feels like he’ll never match up to his brother’s smarts. JC takes him to a local art museum after he admits his results, asking Yanli to take care of the others, they take a tour Jingyi being in awe, as JC tells him as long as he’s doing something he loves nothing else should matter. Jingyi ends up getting fried chicken for lunch and JC makes sure to cook his favourites, with help from the others.
- When the kids first hear about Lan Xichen, Xue Yang realises JC likes him, so he feigns being sick to ensure he can keep JC away from the man until they’ve done a proper background check. (background check VIA Wei Ying & Yanli of course thou they also ask Huaisang & Song Lan just in case)
- The kids during the holidays all sleep in JC’s room, the first time they did that, JC only remembered going to bed alone, but somehow he wakes up, Jin Ling on his chest, the twins wrapped around his leg, Xue Yang behind Jin Ling and Mo XuanYu on the other side of him, his heart nearly hurts but he pulls them a little closer before going back to sleep.
- Song Lan definitely scared all the kids the first time they saw him, since he was basically covered in blood when he rocked up to JC’s apartment, not realising that his friend had not informed him about the new additions to his home.
-All the kids love dogs, every single one of them, JC takes them to the dog park on Saturdays and watches them run and play fetch with every single dog. He takes photos and sends them to his family.
(I’ll probably add more but these are here just for now, in two days time, chapters for ‘Falling in Love with the right person’ will be up) thank u

My weakness! Grumpy starters for Xicheng #14!
Hope you like it!  This was a lot of fun to write!  And it’s a little bloody, which is so on brand for me *evil smile*
14. “Ew. Get away from me. No– not you. You stay.”
After a particularly…bloody night hunt, Jiang Cheng returned to Lotus Pier covered in blood.  Most of it wasn’t his blood, but some of it was and at this point, he couldn’t tell and he quite frankly didn’t care.  As he walked into Lotus Pier, he was immediately surrounded by disciples, Jin Ling, Wei Wuxian, and Lan Xichen, who was visiting from Cloud Recesses.  Jiang Cheng waved away the disciples, ordering them to go drawn him a hot bath.  Once they were gone, Jiang Cheng unfortunately still had to deal with Lan Xichen, Jin Ling, and Wei Wuxian.  Jin Ling and Wei Wuxian were especially hard to get rid of, since both of them kept fussing over him, especially Wei Wuxian, who was acting a lot like a mother hen.  Jin Ling looked like he was about to cry when he saw the amount of blood that Jiang Cheng was soaked in and quite frankly, Jiang Cheng just wanted to take a bath, scrub the blood off, and go to bed.  As Wei Wuxian and Jin Ling continued to fuss over him, Jiang Cheng couldn’t help but grow irritated.
“Alright, enough!” he snapped, glaring at Wei Wuxian and Jin Ling.
“I just want to take a bath and go to bed and I don’t need you two fussing over me!  I’m perfectly fine!” he continued.  Wei Wuxian huffed and placed his hands on his hips.
“A-Cheng—” he started when Jiang Cheng glared at him, eyes glowing purple.
“Just get away from me!  Leave me alone!” he shouted.  Wei Wuxian raised a calm eyebrow before he sighed and dipped his head.
“Alright, since you insist on being left alone” he murmured, turning to look at Jin Ling.
“Come on, A-Ling.  Let’s leave your uncle to cool down” he stated.  Jin Ling flashed Jiang Cheng a final look of concern before he turned and followed after Wei Wuxian, both of them heading in the opposite direction of Jiang Cheng, heading towards their shared hanshi.  Jiang Cheng huffed before he looked over to see Lan Xichen walking towards his hanshi, making him raise an eyebrow.
“Where are you going, Huan?” he asked.  Lan Xichen stopped and looked back at him.
“I thought you wanted to be left alone, Wanyin.  I was just granting you your request” he replied calmly.  Jiang Cheng huffed and rolled his eyes.
“I just wanted them to leave me alone.  I want you to stay” he replied.  Lan Xichen smiled softly before he eyed Jiang Cheng up and down.
“You need a bath, Wanyin” he declared.  Jiang Cheng sighed.
“I know I do…” he grumbled.  Lan Xichen then held out his hand.
“Come Wanyin” he instructed.  Jiang Cheng raised an eyebrow before he reached out and took Lan Xichen’s hand, allowing himself to be led back to his hanshi, where Lan Xichen promptly shoved him towards the bathroom.
“Huan, what are you doing?” Jiang Cheng demanded as Lan Xichen then began to take off Jiang Cheng’s belt and removed his outer robe.
“Helping you undress, what does it look like?” Lan Xichen replied calmly as he took the belt and robe and placed them on the nearby counter before looking back at Jiang Cheng.
“I trust that you can take off your own under robes, can’t you?” he asked.  Jiang Cheng blushed before he nodded.
“Yeah” he murmured.  Lan Xichen nodded.
“Then do that, please” he instructed before he turned around to give Jiang Cheng some privacy.  Jiang Cheng sighed before he took off his under robe, removed his pants, and took off his underwear, leaving him only naked.  He then stepped out of his boots and socks as well before he slipped into the hot bath that the disciples had drawn for him earlier, letting out a groan of pleasure as the hot water soaked into his bones, relieving him of the aches and pains that came with fighting.  As he soaked in the hot water, Lan Xichen came up behind him and carefully removed the decorating hairpiece from his hair, setting it to the side before taking down the high ponytail that he always wore.  Once his hair was down, Lan Xichen grabbed an empty jar and dipped it into the warm bath water, pouring it over Jiang Cheng’s scalp.  Jiang Cheng stiffened in the tub, shocked by Lan Xichen’s actions.  However, the water on his scalp felt rather nice, so he didn’t say anything and just let Lan Xichen continue to pour warm water over his hair to wet it before taking a small jar of rice water and pouring that over his hair.  Once he had poured the rice water, he then began to gently massage Jiang Cheng scalp, scrubbing it of all the dirt, blood, and other things that came with being out on a night hunt.  While Lan Xichen was washing his hair, Jiang Cheng took a small rag and a small bar of soap, lathering up the rag with the soap before washing himself to get rid of the dried blood and dirt that covered his body.  After Lan Xichen had finished washing Jiang Cheng’s hair and Jiang Cheng had finished washing his body, Lan Xichen rinsed Jiang Cheng’s hair with clean water, making sure to get out all the rice water that he had used.  Once Jiang Cheng’s hair was washed, Jiang Cheng got out of the dirty water and had Lan Xichen help him rinse himself off of all the soap.  After he was all washed and rinsed, Lan Xichen handed Jiang Cheng a towel so that he could dry himself off.  Once he dried off, Lan Xichen handed Jiang Cheng his night clothes before turning around to give Jiang Cheng some privacy, not like he really needed it, since Lan Xichen had seen him naked when he stepped out of the tub.  But he took the offered privacy and quickly changed, slipping into his new underwear, night robes and night pants.
“Alright…you can turn around now, Huan” he murmured.  Lan Xichen smiled as he turned around, eyeing Jiang Cheng up and down.
“There’s my Wanyin” he murmured as he took a step forward to stand before Jiang Cheng, leaning forward to place a kiss on Jiang Cheng’s forehead.  Jiang Cheng blushed before he leaned his head up, pressing a kiss to Lan Xichen’s lips.  Lan Xichen smiled before he reached out and took Jiang Cheng’s wrist and guided him over to his bed, sitting him down before sitting down next to him.
“Now what are you doing, Huan?” Jiang Cheng asked.  Lan Xichen just smiled softly.
“Braiding your hair” he replied before he took a brush and began brushing out Jiang Cheng’s wet hair, making sure that there were no tangles in his long black hair before he took Jiang Cheng’s hair and separated it into three sections and began braiding them.  Once he had created the braid, he finished it off by tying the end with his forehead ribbon.
“There.  What do you think?” Lan Xichen asked, gently placing the braid on Jiang Cheng’s shoulder so that he could see Lan Xichen’s handiwork.
“Oh…this is really nice” Jiang Cheng murmured before he noticed Lan Xichen’s ribbon at the end of his braid.
“Huan!” he exclaimed, eyes wide in shock as he turned to look at the older Lan twin.  Lan Xichen raised an eyebrow.
“What is it?” he asked.  Jiang Cheng motioned to his braid and the ribbon.
“Your ribbon!” he exclaimed.  Lan Xichen frowned.
“What about it?” he asked.  Jiang Cheng waved his hands around in exasperation.
“You’re not supposed to take off your ribbon!  I know the rules!  Only a cultivation partner, mother or father is allowed to remove the ribbon!” he exclaimed.  Lan Xichen smiled.
“Exactly.  And you are my cultivation partner, so you can wear my ribbon” he declared.  Jiang Cheng paused, Lan Xichen’s declaration not quite registering with him.
“I’m sorry, can you say that again?” he whispered.  Lan Xichen chuckled.
“I said, you’re my cultivation partner, so you’re allowed to wear my ribbon” he repeated.  Jiang Cheng blinked before he slowly looked at Lan Xichen.
“Are you…are you serious?  You’d pick me, the angriest and most stubborn sect leader in all of the cultivation world, to be your cultivation partner?” he whispered.  Lan Xichen smiled fondly.
“There’s no one else I’d rather have” he replied.  Jiang Cheng blushed before he huffed and looked away.
“Shameless” he murmured.  Lan Xichen chuckled.
“Maybe” he replied.  Jiang Cheng hummed, a small smile on his face, before he yawned, quickly covering his mouth with his hand to keep from seeming rude.
“It’s okay, Wanyin, I know you’re tired.  I’ll leave you so that you can get some sleep” Lan Xichen murmured.  Jiang Cheng shook his head.
“It’s late; just stay” he replied.  Lan Xichen smiled before he dipped his head.
“Alright” he agreed, scooting over so that Jiang Cheng could make himself comfortable before he laid down next to him, reaching out to entwine his and Jiang Cheng’s fingers.  Jiang Cheng cracked open an eye, noticed their entwined fingers and let out a sigh before he looked at Lan Xichen.
“You sap” he murmured sleepily.  Lan Xichen just smiled before he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Jiang Cheng’s nose.
“You love me” he teased.  Jiang Cheng huffed and gently knocked his forehead with Lan Xichen’s.
“I do” he replied honestly before his eyes slipped shut and his breathing slowly began to even out.  Lan Xichen’s eyes widened in shock; he had never heard Jiang Cheng admit that he loved anyone so easily and so honestly before.  His admission made a blush slowly creep onto Lan Xichen’s cheeks, so he just let out a huff as he snuggled closer to Jiang Cheng’s.
“And you call me the sappy one” he murmured before his eyes slipped shut and his breathing soon evened out as well, both sect leaders soon fast asleep.

What do I have to give you to write the final marriage acceptance xicheng fic? I'm willing to do a lot, not gonna lie.
[part one // part two // part three // part four]
Lan Xichen opens his eyes when he feels gentle fingers on his temples. It’s already dark outside; the servants must’ve lit the candles while Lan Xichen dozed off. No wonder Jiang Cheng came looking for him in the imperial study. “Wanyin?”
“Mn,” Jiang Cheng hums. “You must be tired. You didn’t even stir when I came in.”
Lan Xichen catches one of Jiang Cheng’s hands, brings it to his lips, and drops a kiss on the back of his hand. The headache Lan Xichen has been sporting all day seems to have eased a little - Lan Xichen fancies the thought that it is Jiang Cheng’s presence rather than the nap he’s managed to have that has done the trick.
“I am better now,” he tells Jiang Cheng, and tugs at his hand, until Jiang Cheng relents, and settles on Lan Xichen’s lap, wrapping one arm around Lan Xichen’s back for balance.
Jiang Cheng eyes Lan Xichen’s desk. “These are all proposals about what to do with the southern border, I presume?”

[Xicheng AU because I love writing about Jiang Cheng.]
-
Jiang Cheng immediately knows something is wrong when Jin Ling shows up unannounced, claiming to be missing home and collapsing on the chair across from Jiang Cheng’s table.
It makes him happy to know that his nephew still thinks of Lotus Pier as home and even happier when he realizes Jin Ling came to him in search of comfort. He hides his smile with a cough, looking back at his paper work as he waits for Jin Ling to start talking, by the way he’s fidgeting in his seat, Jiang Cheng knows it will be soon.
“How do I confess my love to someone?” Jin Ling asks, startling him.
“Do I look like someone who has been in love?” Jiang Cheng questions back, confused. He doesn’t mean to sound harsh, but he was taken back by the question, even more when he understands why Jin Ling is asking.
His nephew is in love.
“Well,” Jin Ling coughs, his entire face getting red, “I thought that – since you and Sect Leader Lan –” he trails off, averting Jiang Cheng’s eyes.
Jiang Cheng blinks, confused. Him and – Lan Xichen? He sits up straighter, takes a deep breath. This is the one time he needs Wei Wuxian and where is he now?
“Start making sense.” He orders, eyes fixed on his nephew. Jin Ling groans, frustrated, getting up and starting to pace around the room.
“I don’t know.” The boy says, throwing his hands up. “Every time I’m around Sizhui my heart starts beating faster and when he touches me, my hands start to shake and I want to run away when he looks at me. It’s awful! But – but when I think about him I want to – smile?” True to his words, his expression softens and Jiang Cheng notices the barest quirk of his lips. Well, well. “Uncle, please.” Jin Ling comes to him, drops his hands on Jiang Cheng’s shoulders. “You love Sect Leader Lan, right? Haven’t you thought about –”
“I – what?” He asks, standing up. Jin Ling takes a step back, surprised. “Me and – Lan Xichen – you – what are you talking about, boy?”
This is preposterous! He will kill whoever started this rumor, Lan Xichen has left seclusion not many months ago, the last thing he needs is to deal with senseless, ridiculous, hearsay!
“Please,” Jin Ling scoffs, he is spending way too much time with Wei Wuxian, “you visited him every month. The disciples said every time you travel to Gusu, you come back smiling. And last winter, you asked me to find his favorite tea! You even said you wanted to give him for his birthday!”
“That – does not mean anything. I – I give you gifts on your birthday, I –”
“Well, that’s because you love me.” Jin Ling throws back, blushing, but clearly smiling. And Jiang Cheng – has no answer to that.
How can he deny, when it’s true? He does visit Gusu every month and he spends most of his time with Lan Xichen. At first it was a way to avoid Wei Wuxian, but he soon started enjoying the other man’s company, sharing their burden as Sect Leaders and the anger, a feeling that always accompanied Jiang Cheng, but is still new to Lan Xichen.
After some weeks, Jiang Cheng realized he missed talking to someone who wouldn’t judge him, missed being just a man and not a leader. With Lan Xichen he could be free to smile, to laugh or cry, to confess his fears over losing Jin Ling to Wei Wuxian, or – losing Jin Ling forever, and even worse, losing Wei Wuxian again.
Lan Xichen is the truest friend he’s ever had and he treasures his thoughts, looks forward to seeing him happy, and if buying tea is what it takes to make Lan Xichen smile then Jiang Cheng will buy him all the tea in the world.
“Oh no.” Jiang Cheng blinks, surprised at him own thoughts. He collapses back on his chair, stares at his shaking hands before closing them in a fist. He is in love Lan Xichen.
How the fuck did that happen?
“Are you –” Jin Ling starts, tentative.
Jiang Cheng looks up at his nephew, eyes wide. “I – no, I don’t think I am.” Jin Ling’s mouth opens in surprise at Jiang Cheng’s sudden confession before he’s kneeling in front of him.
“Are you sick?” He asks. “I should call –”
“No.” He stops Jin Ling from moving with a hand on his wrist. “I – you should just tell him.” Jiang Cheng says, staring at his nephew. When the boy started growing up and looking even more like his father, Jiang Cheng hated it. Jin Zixuan wasn’t a bad man, but Jiang Yanli was just too good, too nice. He couldn’t help but think that had she not married into the Jin Clan, Jiang Cheng could have protected her, even from Wei Wuxian. But when Jin Ling laughed, carefree, he remembered exactly how much his sister loved her son, not just because he was hers, but because he was also Jin Zixuan’s.
Love is a weird, beautiful thing.
“Uncle –”
“Your father was scared.” Jiang Cheng starts. “Of telling your mother, I mean.” He adds, and Jin Ling scoots closer, always eager to hear more about his parents. Jiang Cheng feels a pang of guilt, he should’ve been better at that. “They lost too much time.”
“But – what if –” Jin Ling swallows, looks down, “what if he doesn’t –”
“Then you will know.” Jiang Cheng says, touching Jin Ling’s face carefully. “And you won’t spend the rest of your life wondering about what could have been.”
Jin Ling nods before throwing himself at him. “You should follow your own advice.”
“It’s different.” Jiang Cheng whispers.
“How?”
Jiang Cheng takes a deep breath, hugs Jin Ling tighter.
Because he knows Lan Xichen – still – loves someone else.

Morning Revelation
WARNING! IMPLIED SEXUAL CONTENT
When he was awake, he was startled by the harsh amount of light upon his eyelids. A bit disoriented, Xichen groaned and flipped to his right side where he knew a wall stood. His movement was halted, gasped, as sparks of pain lightened up in his lower half. It, fortunately, kicked his mind to start recounting what happened last night.
Was he out to a night hunt? No, he was supposed to but Sect Leader Jiang, his secret lover, had came for a business and took an early leave from Yungmeng to spend at least the night together.
Did they....do something?
Xichen remembered the tea they shared at night. The scent of lotus seed made into tea and it's warmth and-
"A-Huan, are you sure?"
His cheeks reddening as scene after scene came into his mind. His lovers naked body for once on top of him, the lust pooling in his stomach, sweats and oil slickened their intimacy. Fingers carefully mapping his chest and lower parts and-and-
"Feels so good" he muttered breathlessly.
Last night, Xichen braved himself to ask for a switch in position. His lover has always looked delighted after their coupling night and Xichen wandered whether he could feel the same.
Like soaring into heaven, he saw white clouded his vision when Wanyin stopped teasing him and finally inserted a finger inside him.
After that, Xichen lose consciousness.
He only could feel good and loved. He trusted Wanyin to keep him safe and secure in his arms and he did.
There was no oil residue or any liquid dripping anywhere. Their robes which flung around was gone. Only Xichen completely blanketed left slumbering into the morning.
If he could borrow Young Master Wei's word..
"Last night was fucking amazing"
A startled gasp from the entrance snapped his attention to the intruder.
"Did the esteemed Zewu-Jun swear or is it just a hallucination?"
His intruder was clad in regal purple robes of Yunmneng Jiang Sect. Jiang Wanyin's long hair was in its usual braid and rolled into a bun by his purple ribbon.
"A-Cheng!"
"Good morning, A-Huan"
His lover slid the door close behind him, stopping the impending outdoor light from coming in.
Jiang Cheng placed a bowl of porridge on his lap after he helped Xichen sat into a more comfortable position. Then he left to made a pot of tea and placed it as well on the floor beside the bed.
"How is you body? Is there any discomfort?"
His lover asked, his right hand cupped his left cheek tenderly.
"It is only a dull pain but everything is okay. You take care of me so well"
Xichen was pleased to see the blush brushing across his lover's cheeks.
Jiang Cheng cleared his throat.
"You have taken care of me before, of course I would do the same..as your lover"
Xichen hummed in reply, leaning more into Jiang Cheng's hand. Jiang Cheng pampered him with thumb caresses lovingly. His smile widen in reply.
Jiang Cheng took the porridge from his lap in turn for a cup of lukewarm tea. Xichen thanked him and sipped slowly. He gave back the cup and Jiang Cheng took a portion of the bed to sit beside him.
"Xichen, really, how is your body?"
Jiang Cheng asked him full of concern. His purple eyes staring deeply into his blue ones. Xichen wanted to erase every hint of worry.
"I am fine, A-Cheng. I cannot feel my lower half but I am sure it is fine. There is no discomfort at all after your-"
Xichen couldn't help the blush rising his cheeks again. Honestly last night was just amazing and he hoped Jiang Cheng would be alright to do it again this night.
To his suprise, Jiang Cheng sported the same red splotches in his own face.
"A-Anyways" Jiang Cheng changed their topic to end their tooth-rooting moment "it...would be wise if we don't meet anyone soon"
Xichen was confused by this.
"Why?"
"Do you remember everything last night?"
"Half of it. Only until your finger.."
Xichen trailed off, the blush came back in full force. He would be exploded if he were told to recount anything..or everything until his lost to pleasure.
Beside him Jiang Cheng groaned.
"What is it? Did something happen?"
He carefully asked.
Did Wangji gotten hurt?
A night hunt went wrong?
Intruder?
"Before you ask, wipe everything off your mind. It was none of those. It's-" Jiang Cheng choked "It's your voice"
Xichen blinked at him.
"My...voice?"
The Yunmeng Sect Leader nodded.
"Your voice. After my finger" he too blushed "-you kind of snapped"
"What do you mean? Did I hurt you or something when I lost conscious?"
Xichen now began to worry. His heart thumped quickly inside its cage. If he ever did something that inflicted pain to his lover, even in a daze, he didn't think he could forgive himself.
However before he could dwell on longer, his lover put a stop to it.
"No no no. Not at all. You begin to moan, A-Huan"
"oh"
"Loudly"
"OH"
"Your...lower part are very sensitive apparently, you wouldn't let go of my fingers. Only when I mentioned..another thing..inside..would you finally relaxed. When I...put it in, you screamed"
Xichen's brain was fried. His whole head was on fire.
"I screamed?"
He seemed to like repeating words today.
"Yes. Very loud that your disciples worried you were attacked. Let's just say they were....traumatized now"
If there was a hole, Xichen would very much love to be inside it and buried inside. Maybe he should think about another seclusion.
"This morning, my brother laughed and yours glared at me"
"Oh no"
"Your uncle went into infirmary last night"
"OH NO"
Xichen's mind went into a flurry of panic. What should he do? His uncle and brother knew! His disciples saw! How was he supposed to face them again!?
Jiang Cheng instead laughed out loud.
"Come on, Huan. Your brother and mine can show up each morning after their 'everyday'. Surely you too can"
Xichen thought so but this was them. A sect leader scandal with another sect leader? Their news would spread easily like a fire on hays.
Jiang Cheng sighed.
"If you are really worried, we can always do it only in Yunmeng Jiang"
Xichen couldn't keep his smile from coming to surface. His lover was really afraid he would go back to seclusion because their intimacy night became known to their families. Wanyin even offered to whisk Xichen off to Lotus Pier for it.
He shook his head.
"I am sure the news would pass"
Jiang Cheng's smile was rewarding for him.
"Okay"
His purple haired lover replied while tucking a stray of hair behind his ear.
Xichen was really blessed to have this relationship with Sect Leader Jiang.
"Oh, A-Cheng?"
"Yes?"
"Do you mind if we do it more frequently? With you inside me?"
Xichen laughed when Jiang Cheng chocked the air he gulped. However the answer was, of course, a yes.

Title: Broken Mirror (Mature)
Author: akanezora
Word Count: 45, 587 (Multi-chapter, Complete)
Summary: When Jiang Cheng left Lan Xichen life, he brought a secret with him. Years later, Lan Xichen caught up with that secret. (Jingyi as Xicheng Lovechild)
Comments: Love sick xicheng endgame. Getting back together kind of thing. This is beautiful and just full of fluff dashed with a little bit of angst/hurt/comfort in between. Also, the heart warming feeling/pang of regret of knowing you have a child after all these years. A good read overall!

Title: I’ll Bind You To Me (Explicit)
Author: yunkarin
Word Count: 68, 351 (Multi-Chapter, Complete)

Comment: JFC, I swear this fic is sexy as fuck. Do you want a dominating LXC? JC at the mercy of LXC? Unsatiable LXC? Papapa every chapter? This is for you! IS2G this fic is just full of  smexy times but the angst/hurt and comfort factor is still there. Ofc, with happy ending! Good for those thirsting for a good xicheng papapa.
Heed the warnings if you’re not comfortable reading this kind of genre.

Title: Wish that you were here (Teen and up)
Author: Achromos
Word Count: 16, 841 (Multi-chapter, complete)
Summary: Ever since he was young, Jingyi knew that he was missing a parent. The thing that bothered him the most about this was that his a-die was clearly suffering and lonely. At first, he had to settle for stories of his fuqin - the First Jade of Lan, a beautiful and powerful cultivator. But then he was sent to study in the Cloud Recesses, where he met the other side of his family. He was determined to find out why his parents won’t speak to each other; what happened fifteen years ago. How he can perhaps mend the rift between them.
Comment: This fic evolves around the big word: MISUNDERSTANDING. Lol. You’d keep on gritting your teeth and pace around because Jingyi and Xichen kept on running around the same circle but never had the chance to meet and top it with Jiang Cheng’s pride and low self-esteem of thinking he was a mistake. Bad parenting for sprinkles but it was worth a read.

Title: The Beginner’s Guide To Moving On (Teen and up)
Author: messenger18
Word Count: 189, 538 (Multi-chapter, Complete)
Summary: Jiang Cheng is jaded, bitter and miserable. Lan Xichen isn't sure he can ever trust anyone again. They've always been at the periphery of each other's lives, perpetually visible but never touching, and it seems it's going to stay that way. Then Jin Ling and Lan Sizhui fall in love, and everything changes.Thrown together as the only single men in a family full of couples, neither is exactly happy about their situation. But when two lonely people find each other, sometimes they can be a little less lonely together.Written because both Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen deserved better, and their characters go so well together. Also I needed something to get back into writing.
Comment: THIS STORY IS EPIC! This is a slow burn XiCheng fic that will keep you begging and asking for more! This is post-canon when two lost souls both with staggering past come in solace with each other in the form of friendship until they slowly fall in love. When I say slowly, like a really slow-burn type with Jiang Cheng struggling too much with his inner turmoil and devils. Lan Xichen, on the other hand, wallow in self-questioning stage with trust and betrayal issues. It was a long and painful and emotional ride but it was all worth it! Don’t get intimidated by the word-count, it was all worth it staying up until I finish this!
WangXian is a side pair in this but I just love how the author never indulge in their story. And Yunmeng bros reconcillation is what I thrist! ZhuiLing is also a cute side pair in this so this fic is very much recommended. :D

Title: Home is Far Away (Mature)
Author: yunkarin
Word Count: 24, 303 (Multi-chapter, Complete)
Summary: Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen were bonded together via marriage, connecting the Lan family and Jiang family. They were the links that held the two families together. Married without love - can love truly bloom from this cold, loveless marriage? Can even a child be born and loved? It was possible because this was their duty as Jiang Wanyin and Lan Xichen.
Modern AU (Arranged Marriage, Mpreg)
Comments: I am just a trash for XiCheng mpreg fics okay. Don’t blame me. They are just so cute. Anyway, this fic is, as stated above, an arranged marriage AU wherein they are both thrown into this situation as their duties as heirs. Prepare to hate Lan Xichen here though, he is just a dick for the first few chapters which is, acceptable, if I may say so. It is the fact that they both can’t accept the arrangement. However, they need to produce an heir which they did, alright. But then Lan Xichen continues to be a dick, dping as far as abandoning his duties to Jiang Cheng and their baby. Jiang Cheng has had enough and thus, the plot thickens...read to find out. ;’)
This is a really good fic with abandonment issues, sorting out misunderstandings. More of a hurt/comfort and angst genre rather than pure fluff. Very much recommended if you want your heart to squeeze tightly and get pissed off to Lan Xichen.
