Symbolism in Chainsaw Man trailer
#Spoiler Alert#
In the new chainsaw man trailer. You can see Makima is feeding Denji a Snail. It is not an ordinary snail. I mean the snail is ordinary but it is in 'Control' of a parasite. The two horn like structures on the snail are pulsating with different colours. That's the parasite living within its body. And its controlling the snail. Whats worse is the snail is still alive.
Great foreshadowing for Makima's true nature AKA 'Control' Devil.
Actual video from NeoGeo ( Its creepy and scary. Watch at your own discretion.)

Fan fiction | Southern reach trilogy
What if.... The Biologist had merged with the other lighthouse instead of turning into a sea monster with thousand eyes.
In her last days the Biologist remained in the failed lighthouse. She had decided to give herself up to the light inside of her. She had stopped hurting herself to induce pain which was somehow keeping the light from consuming her. Now the light kept growing stronger and stranger. She now received so much stimuli that neither her senses nor her brain could keep up. She couldn’t even move her body. She just lay there on the floor. The world around her had begun to seem more and more real. Her body had started to decay or become something else. The light had consumed her entirely. Her flesh now became one with the floor, the walls, the ceilings and the very foundation of the lighthouse. She was dead but also alive. She could feel her body was different, that she was beyond human. Still unable to move, she remained dormant. As if, waiting to be woken from a cosmic nightmare. And then one day she felt something. A strange sensation that told her that there was more to her. More than her, now transformed body. Something had entered within the reach of her senses. Which was more human than herself but still not human. It was on the main coast next to her twin. Strangely she did not think of this other half of herself as her twin, but , the other lighthouse.
