My Hero Academia Ideal Ending

Here are my thoughts on what makes a good ending for MHA:

1: Get rid of the ranking system

Doing this will not only create a better hero society and not create more heroes like Endeavor, but it'll show us that the heroes can be equal.

2: Have Shigaraki die at the end

I'm going to be honest here, I don't want him to live in the end. He can't be redeemed because he has killed hundreds if not thousands of people during the war arc when he woke up. Deku does still want to try to save the little boy (Tenko) inside of Shigaraki, and when and if he does, Shigaraki's consciousness will probably be intertwined with Tenko's. So the only way for Deku to really truly save Tenko is to kill Shigaraki. This will break Deku, but it'll show us that Deku can't save everybody.

3: Have Deku end up with Uraraka

Personally, I don't care if they end up together or not, I just want to see those toxic BakuDeku shippers cry 😂. But on a serious note though, it'll be a nice ending for both of them. Although, I also don't mind if they don't end up together if Uraraka decides to focus more on being a hero then being with Deku because that would be mature for her.

4: Have Spinner and Mr Compress stay alive and redeem them

These 2 haven't done anything that's horrible compared to Toga, Dabi, and Shigaraki, so keep them alive and have them better themselves. I'm sure there are more villains I'm missing that deserved to be redeemed, but those are the two that popped in my head.

5: Have Shoto be an aspiring hero after Endeavor's death

Endeavor and Dabi are going to die 100%, that's a no brainer. If Shoto were to see that in front of his eyes, it will absolutely traumatize him. But I'm sure when his friends continue to support him and carry on his father's legacy, he'll feel better and be an aspiring hero for society to look up to. It'll take time for that to happen, but it's a nice start.

6: Keep Bakugo dead

He had a fitting conclusion to his story. Having him revived would be stupid because what else is there for his story to continue? I'm hoping what happens is that if Bakugo does end up getting revived, have him stay unconscious so that maybe Deku and Bakugo can talk one last time in the vestige world. Have Bakugo admit defeat and come to the conclusion that he'll never catch up to Deku and that Deku is a better and stronger hero. Bakugo will probably tell Deku to tell Edgeshot to not properly revive him since Bakugo is done and that he wants to rest in piece. If this happens (which is a very small percentage), I'll deadass put Bakugo at an A tier.

Any thoughts on these?

I know that people want the league of villians to be ‘saved’ at the end but Deku, Ururaka, and Shoto should not be responsible for them. Shigaraki, Dabi, and Toga dying could inspire the three to improve society as a whole, I’m sorry but those three are irredeemable, besides I liked tragic villians

I hate batman. A lot. I want to tear that man down, bit by bit. I want to write a story where he tries to kill the rest of the justice league in a paranoid haze, and then has to face consequences. I want him gone. Dead. Forever erased from existence. We keep the villains and maybe the supporting cast. We ditch him. We have to. He is one of my least favourite superheroes. He's always boring! So goddamn boring! I will preach until I'm dead: Get rid of batman!

Ditch the darkness! Give us more Superman and Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel/Shazam. DC should go back to their repository of old heroes, but leave batman the hell alone. Replace him with Wesley Dodds or something if we have to! But leave batman alone! Forever!

The fact that the Toga Simps are the most dumb and stupid people I've ever seen and tell you to read the manga. (And I do stupid idiots.) It's the fact that they are so patty about their little serial killer blood sucker... that they forget that Toga killed innocent people.

But yet they say this: Toga had a right to kill them due to her Quirk and her need to expression love along with the fact that society turned against her.

Me: You are all insane and should get your heads checks. That's like saying that anyone has a right to kill people all because society rejected or didn't understand them. That's like your forgetting what she did...which is something the heroes have clearly stated they wouldn't forget.

Fan concept to incorporate however you want:

In comics i’m pretty sure there’s a lazarus pit in the batcave, and others in gotham. A high concentration of lazarus water per square foot. Add to that gotham’s various contaminated waters from various toxins and gases on top of usual run offs, and there’s a high chance everyone in gotham is contaminated by all of this.

Add in the popular head cannons and partial fanon of lazarus water = (in some form) contaminated or corrupted watery ectoplasm.

And if we go ecto contaminated enough = liminal…

Then gotham city is full of liminals, the most notorious being a handful revenants with questionable cores (Solomon Grundy and Red Hood off the top of my head), with Damian’s Robin a liminal bordering on halfa if you go the ‘raised next to and put in the Pitts’ route.

Hell if you want, most of the Batfam can be partially ecto contaminated if not liminal (minus Duke, i feel like he’s the only starting to) but no one notices because its gradual and they assume its side effects from the 10,000 + polluntants in gotham.

You can have anyone from Amity Park enter Gotham and go ‘huh, edgy aesthetic Amity.’ Then go ‘oh, sick liminal… which dork back home knows how to fix this?’

If you want Tucker can be sending Sam updates on Gotham’s liminals (including Rogues) which Sam is helping the ecto terrorist (League of Assassins in a lot of older portrayals) and Danny vibing working for (DC bigshot or group of your choice) as an engineer who says he’s bad at coding when no one has broken his code yet as ‘its standard back home’ and baffles his employer

Dani can see Gotham and just. Vibe as a feral child who tries to help the other sick liminals with mixed results. I say let Harley snag her as her sidekick during her anti-villian days.

Jazz can be attending university and has to explain drinking filtered ecto to her dorm, only for a lot of them to start managing things better emotionally and combat wise, but now have the urge to Kick Ass as a way to Make Friends. Batfam investigate her a s a cult leader when really all she’s doing is using a clean ecto filter and teaching her classmates to do the same. Even teaches them how to make them thanks to Danny breaking down his rigs to her and leaving her repair instructions in case hers breaks early.

If you go baby Ghost King Danny, he can find out about Gotham and do a ‘oh, a fucked up version of Amity Park. Neat!’ see the Joker and go ‘Fuck this guy,’ and appear by pulling Joker into the ghost realm for his trial with a note that reads “sorry for missing another Liminal City. I’ll do better as king and handle those breaking Ghost Ettiquette myself. My bad. Still new to the ‘King of the Infinite Realms and all bonded to it. So liminals fall in, didn’t think there were more besides Amity. A branch of the Council of Observers will be sent to evaluate which liminals are sick, which are dealing with unsustainable or harmful obsessions, which liminals need relocation to handle their obsession in a better suited environment, and which ones are uneducated on liminal health.

Don’t worry, I stole some time to make sure i did all the paperwork before taking this guy. He’s the type of ecto entity who consumes attention, fear, and souls, which is Pretty Bad and that last one is an auto-execution. So i should manage the normal ‘visiting of the realms and introduction to’ spiel after we can make sure you won’t be in danger from ghosts that forget mortals dont shrug off being dropped off a few cliffs and having a two ton rock dropped on them. I may send some ambassadors from Amity to help you adjust since it was a pain for us too. Fyi if anyone tries summoning the Ghost King and expects Pariah, i win by conquest ten years ago and only JUST got to looking into liminal areas. With cheating by stealing time. If you have any questions, look up the Manson family, Amity Park, Ohio. Sam can explain better than me, and her parents somehow ended up on the mortal side counsel.

@desatu You recommended a song called Phantom Racer by Twrp on my earlier post about Phantom Flyer Danny and it spawned this idea where Danny has turned into an anti hero/villian who revives victims of violent crimes and turns them into "Pit Demons" like him so they have superpowers and the ability to get revenge on the people who killed them.

(If they need a little help Phantom will do so remotely or even talk to the demon or the jl telepathically.)

The first instance that came to the Justice Leagues attention was a case of a Phantom driver who killed everyone else on the track one by one before driving through the stadium walls and off into the sunset. The vehicle hadn't been seen since and no more murders had taken place.

Upon investigation, one of the wives of these racers broke down and confessed that everyone on the track that day had committed a murder of a fellow racer. He was skilled and brilliant and was beating them all the time. They knew they could never win fairly so they murdered the guy and hid his body in the crawlspace of an dilapidated cabin in the woods.

She led them to it and they were able to recover the body, "I don't get it," the woman said, "Theyve all raced together many times since then. Its been ten years, why come back now?"

The JL didn't have an answer.

Dpxdc fanfic Sam is Bruce Wayne's daughter, adopted by the Manson family. Everlasting Trio, toddler Ellie. Pharoah Tucker, Witch Sam, Space Ancient Danny, and Cujo too.

"How do you feel now?" Mrs. Foley asked, leaning against the doorframe of the bathroom.

Chapter 3: Revelation

Sam removed the tinfoil from her hair. Purple, with a smattering of black, but her hair was mainly a bright vivid purple now. Her purple contacts were back, and last night she even got her nose pierced.

"Better," Sam said. "I feel more like me now,"

"That's good," Mrs. Foley said. "Remember to clean up, dinner will be done soon and Tucker finished whatever he was doing for you,"

Hacking into the Justice League's database of DNA records, to cross-reference her DNA too. It's the largest DNA database in the world. If her biological parents were Heroes or Villians or otherwise employed by such a person then explaining the chaos that was her life would be easier. If not, then she wasn't sure if she wanted to meet them. Her life was messy and complicated and dangerous, bringing someone unprepared into her life would be an unnecessary risk.

"Thanks Mrs. Foley," Sam said. "I'll be down soon,"

The test finished running while they were eating. Sam and Tucker left the table, nervous and excited in equal measure.

"I can't look," Sam said, closing her eyes at the door to Tucker's office.

Tucker took her hand and pulled her in.

"No fucking way," Tucker said, pushing Sam into a rolling stool and spinning her around to face a monitor. "You're gonna wanna see this," Sam leaned back into Tucker's chest, covering her eyes with her hands.

Tucker clicked away on the keyboard, his arms loose around her shoulders.

"It's someone horrible isn't it? Like an intergalactic Tyrant or someone who hates kids or maybe someone who hates nature or magic-"

"It's Bruce Wayne,"

When an outsider ran a DNA test using the Justice League's database, Hero identities were locked away on a separate server and only those with Civilian identities connected to the Justice League could be found.

It was one of B's many contingencies against enemy hackers. Tim was waiting in the monitor room for Kon to finish his appointment with Canary, when a screen flashed. Tim watched as the Civilian files were shuffled through by the outsider, as the DNA sequence searched for a match. He watched as it stopped on the file of Bruce Wayne and confirmed a parental match.

Finding out who B's new mystery child is was easy. He synced to the hacker's computer, turned on the camera, and there they were. This hacker had an impressive setup, he even had audio.

"I'm a Wayne?" The purple hair girl asked, staring at the screen. "I think I'm gonna be sick,"

"Oh yeah, that's gotta be some cosmic irony or something," the hacker, leaning over the young woman's shoulder said. "An anti-capitalist and her multi-billioniare capitalist father,"

She elbowed him in the gut.

"Any idea who my mother is?"

"Nope, seems only Wayne was on this database. Your mother is probably one of the many supermodels Wayne took to bed so frequently,"

"My whole identity is a lie," the woman said. "If I decide to meet him I probably wouldn't even be an outcast anymore..."

"Wouldn't that be a good thing?"

"I don't know." She sighed. "What if I am only an activist because the ones who raised me aren't? What if I only befriended you and Danny because they didn't approve of you? What if I'm actually an entirely different person than I thought I was and I become some shallow backstabbing arrogant snob as soon as Bruce Wayne says he's proud of me for something?"

"If you don't want to meet him, you don't have too,"

"We're moving to Gotham. He's gonna be everywhere,"

"He doesn't have to know Sam," the man said. "If you're not ready we won't tell him,"

Tim pulled up the records of the woman, the unknown Wayne child, and had to bite his lip to keep from laughing. Samantha Manson, Seventeen years old, born October 13th at Gotham Private Hospital and adopted a week later from the same hospital by the Manson couple, raised in Amity Park Illinois, an average B student and an activist for nearly any cause she found. From school food to animal rights to nature preservation and restoration to illegal pride parades. She bought an apartment in Gotham near Gotham University, for her and her boyfriends Tucker Foley, Danny Fenton, and Danny's daughter Eliza.

Bruce had a completely civilian daughter. The batchat was going to freak out.

A warm smile flooded your face. "Momo! you came." Pulling your girlfriend in for a kiss, you smiled happily once more. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" Momo blushed. "My classmates saw you on tv and their talking kind of made me mad so... I wanted to visit?" A flash of teeth and a smirk appeared. "Aw, and you even brought me a snack or two," you teased. "Come on babe, I'll make you forget all about what they said."

I want to see a team composed of famous DC Super-Villians who become anti-heroes, if not full fledged heroes. Take like Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn, Reverse Flash, Captain Cold, The Cheetah, Poison Ivy, The Riddler, Two-Face, etc. Put them on a team and have them doing heroic deeds. Possibly it starts accidentally, possibly it starts as an experiment by the Justice League on behalf of rehabilitative justice (if we go this way, I get to include my favourite DC hero in Martian Manhunter), etc. Either way, we get a team of villians who slowly become relatable, sympathetic and publicly trusted.

And all these characters are sympathetic or can be made sympathetic. Legitimately, I feel sympathy for all these characters. All of them. And I think it's about time they get respect.

PS: This may be slightly inspired by that Lego DC Supervillains game. At least, it's inspiring me to want to replay the game. That's a deal minor thing, but I wanted to just write it down.

You know. Im kinda sad that none of the reoccuring villians in MHA are morally grey.

Stain is very slightly leaning into that but he's not that morally grey and the actions he produces are pretty violent. Same with the league. All of them try to commit murder and commit atrocities without so much of blinking an eye. Even when presented with other villains there isnt much difference between them aside from why.

I wish there was an anti-villain or someone who did illegal things and still had morals but still needed to be arrested. You know what they tried doing with Mr Compress last minute and didnt work out since they didnt build it up.

I feel like most of the villians are immediatly morally evil in the manga and they're not as well developed as they seem. Hell stain is the only one that causes moral arguements to form and even then its brushed aside.

What im saying is that there isnt a diveristy in villain motivation and action that doesnt go from 'i was heavily discriminated against' to 'i will commit murder because of my past'. It would be more interesting to me if Mr Compress was actually a robin hood character and stole from the heroes and wasn't affiliated with the league since he disagreed with putting teens in danger.

I'm sorry if this is rambly but im saying that most of the villians arent as morally complex or justified as the fandom seems to think.

The more morally grey characters are in vigiliantes but even then I'd argue that the only 'grey' thing about those characters are the fact that they're breaking the law. They're still doing it for the purpose of for the greater good after all.

BNHA really is lacking this element which is why I think many of the fandom are making the villains out to be something more then they actually are. I've noticed a trend in fandom content where the villains don't commit the same level of crime that they would in canon and I believe that's because we don't have a character or characters that would fill this role usually to project on.

It's why Hawks is usually made more morally grey then he actually is or the fandom likes to pretend he is ("he'll do anything for heroism" argument) yet when you actually examine his actions, the greyest action he's committed is killing Twice but the heroes don't have a rule against killing a threat (we've seen many Nomu killed and Ending was trying to become a threat that would need killing too), especially in a situation that Hawks was in.

The villains in the series can be downright evil. We may know why they may be behaving the way they are however they have no justification for some of their most atrocious actions that can be classed as morally grey.

But that certainly doesn't stop some stans from trying to excuse them XD

More like, MC snaps under the stess and pressure of everything and becomes jaded and more of an anti-hero is that makes sense?

Short answer:

Eventually, yeah! Something like that will come to happen, as the stakes and certain realities are made clearer to the MC.

You all have probably caught onto it by now, but the League (and the world of AToH in general) doesn't exactly work like a traditional comic book world. There's a closer relationship with the government and politics going on, just as there is a bit of a happier trigger finger in the hands of heroes, and less of an expectation to hold them accountable for that.

For example, if the MC goes all out while suppressing the mind-controlled mob, it's... very likely that they not only severely hurt these people, they permanently crippled at least a few of them. And while that can seem extreme, you'll note there's... not that much outrage about it. Yes, the news talks about it, and they run segments, but the vast majority of the world isn't calling the MC out for gross misuse of force and abuse towards people.

The existence of powered folks has led to people growing "number" to deaths and such when powered people are involved. If Seeker or Forlorn have to kill the villain they're fighting to safeguard the lives of the civilians, that's not going to get a board of inquiry or anything like that. They're gonna be asked once, they'll say "it was a good call", and that's the end of it.

In short, even if you are the "hero", that doesn't mean you are "good". The hero/anti-hero divide isn't much of one in this universe. How far you'll go during battle and everything else is up to you (well, some times, at least), and with how things are going to go, there's gonna be... very little desire to tell you to tone it down.

The world wants a winner, not a martyr.

After Deku defeats All For One and the League of Villians, after he becomes number one hero, he and the rest of the now pro class 1-A finally settle down. Some of them have kids, some of them are forever lonely. Sadly one thing just won't leave them the fuck alone.

How I think RHATO would have gone down if the New 52 didn't insist on being the worst:

First of all, Kory would not be a hypersexual airhead that pretends to have dissociative amnesia to not address her past. She would exist outside of the male gaze and act normal (for her). Her background wouldn't have random changes made to it.

Roy would not be depicted as a reckless, incompetent idiot. He would likely lead the Outlaws, not Jason, since Roy has led both the Titans and the Outsiders. He, Kory, and Jason would be depicted as equals, because Jason isn't better than them. Roy's background wouldn't have random changes made to it. He would have a heroin addiction, because that's an important part of his background that shouldn't be erased. His therapist wouldn't be Hugo Strange???? Keep him in therapy and addiction counseling though, because he deserves it (affectionately)

Jason would at this point be on amicable terms with the Bats. He wouldn't like Bruce or agree with him, but he would have moved on from his pre-52 anti-villian phase (although still toeing the line of anti-villain). The all-caste storyline wouldn't exist, because what the fuck. Random, unnecessary changes wouldn't be made to his backstory.

As for the actual plot-

Kory and Jason would meet the same way, but she wouldn't ignore her time as a Titan and wouldn't immediately try to sleep with him. She would hold him accountable for his past actions while also acknowledging that people are capable of changing and growing. Kory would still need Roy's help to fix her ship, but she would make it clear to Jason that he needed to not kill people if they were all going to work together. When they track Roy down they find him being a competent hero and not a damsel in distress. Roy wouldn't immediately trust Jason, but he does trust Kory. He's not going to refuse to help her or argue about her partnering with Jason, because Kory has proven plenty of times that she's capable of making her own decisions.

After that change like 70% of the missions in RHATO. There can be a storyline with the League of Assassins, but not such a dumb one. Give me them taking down trafficking rings and Roy slowly getting past his initial disliking of Jason, because if he can fall in love with an assassin, he can be partners with a borderline anti-villain. Give me Jason slowly starting to feel comfortable around them and showing a more open side of himself (literature nerd, dramatic, theater kid vibes, still deeply traumatized and struggling to cope (WFA vibes)). Give me Kory being the absolute queen she is and having an actual personality. Have her able to hold regular conversations with the guys. Have Dick still being Roy's best friend (honestly I feel like Roy is probably Jason's best friend, Dick is probably Roy's best friend, and Donna is Dick's best friend. I'm pretty sure Donna is also canonically Kory's best friend) and them meeting up and getting along great and talking about Roy being teammates with Dick's ex-fiance (THAT HE DID NOT CHEAT ON) and little brother with murderous tendencies. Don't make Roy have beef with a literal child (Damian).

My point is that the Outlaws would still exist if New-52 didn't butcher their established characterizations
