Oh I 100% had a guide.

Showed up with a full beard, showed the very nice lady on staff named Natalie a faceapp I made of myself and said "I'd like to look like this", and she said "Well for that, you'll probably need etc etc etc" and I said "Gotcha, okay!" and I walked away and went to look by myself for a sec, and then I went back and said "I dunno why I'm walking around like I know what I'm looking for, do you think you could help me?" and she was very happy to lead me around the store and find makeups that were in my color!

Let this be a lesson to anyone who wants to try makeup for the first time but is scared because they don't have anyone who they feel safe going to buy makeup with: YOU CAN DO IT ON YOUR OWN! The staff at Sephora are specially trained to help people find what they're looking for, and they won't think you're weird.

Makeup is a skill like cooking or sewing, they're valuable life skills to have regardless of how you identify. There isn't shame trying, even if you don't think you're looking to commit to any permanent shift in identity.

I've always struggled with this, I seriously thought something was wrong with me, but I realized I was menaging my time wrong, so here's some tips on how I recently learned how to menage time and what I learnt from my mistakes!

୨୧divide your goals୨୧

you need to make a list for your work goals(if you work), your school goals(if you go to school) and your personal goals, in another pile you need to write down your meetings or night outs

୨୧get the right materials୨୧

this works better in paper, you just need an agenda(if you can get one with all monthly, weekly and daily sections), a pen, some colored perns, pencil, markers or whatever, it needs to be colored and a monthly calendar for the years, which have to stay at home.

୨୧set monthly goals୨୧

For the first step you need to focus on the general picture, so, how do you want your month to be like? write down that list in your agenda and in your calendar also write down all your tests and work meetings, your monthly goals need to be general and long and now let's move to the next point

୨୧set weekly goals୨୧

time for the week! how do you want your week to be like? your weekly goals need to be long term but easy and you need to set both your dates and your work goals for example: "for this day I have to sign this paper, compleate all my summaries etc.." or " I will go to Miniso and Sephora with my friends" and you will sign the day.

This week I'll study history -> This week I'll study and compleate 1 chaper of history

୨୧set daily goals୨୧

daily goals need to be extra specific for example:

Summer Glow-Up Guide

Summer vacations have started for most people, meaning it's the perfect time to start working on yourself, adopt new habits and improve your health. You guys asked me for a glow-up guide, so here we go! <3

Eating healthier, let's be real; we all know that the first step to a healthy glow a healthy diet is. Try adding some smoothies, proteins (like yogurt, chicken, tofu...), and healthy fats (avocados, nuts...) to your meals.

Skincare. Now is the perfect time to try some new products! My favorite brands are The Ordinary, La Roche Posay, Pixi, Lancome, and Neutrogena.

Meditation, 5-10 minutes in the morning, is enough; it helps you to focus, calm down and be mindful. You can find guided meditation videos on youtube.

New Hairstyle, get a new haircut, and try some new styles! (inspo on my Pinterest)

Journaling, I started journaling not too long ago and love it! It helps me plan my day and get things out of my mind.

Haircare, get a trim, and say bye to your split ends! you can also try some new products; I personally like Lush and Olaplex. (let me know if you want a long hair guide <3)

Practice your make-up skills! Something that helped me improve was practicing right before I shower, so I can just wash it off!

Deep cleaning room, vacuum, clean your windows, empty your trash, and so on...

Get a manicure, I'm personally a long acrylics type of girl, but even if that's not your thing, a simple manicure makes a HUGE difference. Clean nails are a must!!

Drinking more, I probably don't have to tell you that, lol.

Self-tan contour, not having to wear make-up is such a flex so let's just fake that make-up-less beauty by contouring with self-tanner ;)

New outfits that fit, it's time to get some new stuff that makes you feel beautiful and confident!

Exercising and getting toned feels awesome! try some youtube workouts; my favorites are from Daisy Keech, she's so sweet <3

New jewelry, get some cute signature pieces; you can also look for some unique pieces while on vacation and keep them as memories.

Fresh Instagram feed, go and takes some pictures! You can look for inspiration on my Pinterest; I have a board called 'Pictures to recreate' that might be helpful!

Find a signature scent; this is something fun you can do with your friends! Go to Sephora and just try perfumes until you find one that fits you.

Sleep schedule, even though it's tempting to stay up late, now is the perfect time to fix your sleep schedule.

Go out every day, go for a walk, listen to a podcast, take some pictures, you know it...

Read more; it really calms your mind and helps you relax.

Facemasks, I do facemasks at least twice a week

Be nicer

PRESENTING THE REDESIGN OF THE GIRLBOSS QUEEN AMAYA 📢🗣🗣(I AM SO HAPPY TO HAVE FINISHED THE DRAWINGS)

It should be noted that this is a redesign for the Wish Au character written by @ animación , who helped me with the ideas and references for Amaya's design,@ animación it is very fun to collaborate with you :D

Now I will start to explain how we came to make this design:

-At first I didn't have many ideas for their design (the truth is before I was concentrating more on Aster and Asha) so I decided to watch the Whis movie to get a better idea of the aesthetic I wanted to look for them………yes, the movie is not that good, later I will talk about my opinion of the movie but in terms of design I was disappointed that out of so many possibilities for the design and costumes of royalty, Disney chose a neutral color palette with small details of blue color, I don't know, I feel like there were so many striking possibilities wasted for they desings.

-Well, continuing with the topic, the author of this Au Wish sent me references about what her vision was about the design of Amaya, which were mostly about the storyboards of the movie, I really liked the idea, since it gave me vibes of a threatening but elegant queen,she also sent me some concept art of Mother Gothel that I used as a reference for the structure of Amaya's face

This gave me the idea of also using Sephora that belongs to the movie "The Prince of Egypt" as a reference for the aesthetic that I more or less wanted for the character.

so first I decided to practice the structure of the face to familiarize myself with the design :D (I clarify that I traced the structure of the drawings here because it was just a practice, I used none of these sketches in the final result)

After a while I started making my own sketches when I finally understood how to draw the face

(For the hairstyle, I was guided by the photos that the author sent me, I almost forgot to put that😅)

-I also decided that instead of putting a crown on Amaya, I put a kind of headband with a jewel, because in addition to being comfortable, practical and cute (something that greatly characterizes Amaya's style)

It is also a parallel to my Asha design which has a diamond-shaped tattoo on her forehead.

-Now talking about Amaya's dress, yes or yes I wanted to design a cape with a hood, although at first I thought about adding a neckline to the top part of the dress, an idea came to me which was to be inspired by the Greek mythology character Circe, since curiously she is also a sorceress, I mentioned this to the author and she mentioned that at first when trying to draw her she was inspired by the conceptual art of Megara, who is also Greek, so in the end she decided that maybe the queen comes from from a town in Greece (Also this could have something to do with her backstory 👀)

-At some point in the story we discover that Amaya keeps different potions inside her dress (I guess for emergencies, I don't know), that's why I decided that the dress has a small opening, because in addition to making it easier for you to walk, it would also help you. get your potions out in an easier way (her potions are attached to a belt that would be on her leg or waist I suppose).

-In the end I designed these 3 prototypes and sent them to the author to help me decide which one to choose or which to combine because the truth is I couldn't choose alone (I'm too indecisive).As I said, I was inspired by the character of Circe, so I looked for references of how the Greek goddesses dressed in ancient paintings, and if you look a little closer you can notice that I added the Leo symbol, since it represents the lion. , an animal that was associated with the Greek mythology character I mentioned

Another important detail is the moons on her dress, since it represents motherhood, an aspect that Amaya uses as a facade with her people, and speaking of space, the writer gave me the idea that Magnifico represents the sun since in her own words:

"I know the association with the sun and the moon fits their personalities really well. As the sun can be seen as bright, fun and warm like Magnifico presents himself, but it can also be a force of destruction that burns and is unpredictable. And the moon can be associated with Amaya for being a protective glow in the darkness like how she presents herself as a caring guide, but the moon also has a mysterious dark side we can never see.And the moon only shines to us because the sun is shining on it, so like… Amaya only shines because she’s next to Magnifico"

(Honestly, I'm always surprised by how much symbolism the writer can find for the characters, I only put it in because of what I mentioned before and because I thought it looked cute lol).

(I came up with the belt and most of the costume thanks to this circe painting)

-Don't think that I decided on the colors yellow and dark blue just because they go together well, nonono, this one also has a meaning :D , you see, while I was looking at some of Wish's concept art there were these discarded designs of Magnifico:

And doing a little google search I found this:

-That's why I chose these colors, blue is a color that represents the truth, something that Amaya and Magnifico want to pretend, but the color yellow represents what they truly are, liars.

-And finally (because this writing is taking me more than 2 hours) the roses that are in her dress and hair are natural, and without giving you too many spoilers about the rewrite, Amaya suddenly ages a little, and when this happens the roses also have a change as they wither

Happy Halloween

Word Count: 900

Includes: fluff, tooth rotting fluff really; about Spencer and reader on Halloween night enjoying whatever Spencer has planned!! (also ik its not halloween but in my head it always is.)

You hadn't exactly planned the night. In fact, you'd left it up to Spencer to decide how you'd spend you halloween together.

This of course landed you with tons of unanswered questions as you followed him out of the car, trailing behind him cautiously since he was known for acting particularly spooky near the holiday.

Meaning he was more likely to jump scare whoever he was with at the time.

This year you'd both agreed to dress up as Emily and Victor from the corpse bride, him because he had an affinity for Tim Burtons films and you because it had always been one your favorites as a kid.

However as your dress begins to drag, you get closer to what looks like the end of the parking lot, and you begin to hear carnival music you regret your choice of outfit just slightly.

"Spence where are we?"you question, stopping in your tracks.

He looks back at you, smiling, "Trust me?"

You take a few steps forward linking arms with him then, "Always."

As it turns out, you find he had taken you to Washington's "Spooktacular Carnival" event in one of the many parks nearby. As you entered you were both greeted by a Man dressed as Frankenstein who only grunted and pointed when you asked where you could get a map.

From there you both explored to your free will, first stopping at one of the many food trucks nearby to "aquire sustanacance for the spookiest night ever" as Spencer put it. You marveled at the food given to you seeing as it was halloween themed and your tacos looked as though they were somebody's guts and his burrito looked like the remains of someone's flesh.

Though provoking less than hungry appetites within you, you ate your meals and went on your way, stopping by a myriad of carnival-turned-halloween games,

such as "Witches brew" which involved you making your own liquid nitrogen ice cream,"The butcher shop" in which you both entered a pumpkin carving contest and the "Mummy's Demise" in which you happily wrapped your boyfriend in toilet paper, blind folded him and then guided him through a maze filled with 'ghouls and monsters of the undead'.

To say the least many games such as these drained the life out of you, which Spencer proudly stated was the "point of hallow's eve!"

Your favorite game over all though had to be the apple bobbing contest in which Spencer, being Spencer who was so dear of Halloween, dunked almost his entire upper-body into the barrel of water searching for the apples.

Completely forgetting, of course, that he had put makeup on earlier that night to maintain his "dead-ish" look.

After, if not console him on his loss in the contest but also appease your once more growling stomach, you bought some cotton candy for the two of you, which was needlessly to say, being advertised as the brains of the Walking Dead.

By the end of the night you had explored every inch of the carnival, winning the pumpkin contest and getting the two top prizes, a giant bag of candy, which Spencer took excitedly and a Sephora gift card, which you also accepted with glee.

The last stop, was as both of you had been referring to it all night "the big Kahunna", aka the Haunted House. The line was so long you both had decided to buy the tickets for the latest time, there was no avoiding it now. Both your scaredy-cat butts were about to be spooked.

"Y/n I know you're tired...we can just go home." Pleaded Spencer, but you wouldn't let him chicken out this late in the game.

So, you linked arms with him perhaps for the last time that night and stepped up, giving a woman dressed as The bride of Chucky your tickets while Chucky, which you assumed was her date, led you to the entrance.

To say the least you were jump-scared more than once going into the house with was decorated in an old Victorian fashion that gave you the creeps. As Spencer nervously racked his brain for facts to list off about the time era and how Halloween was celebrated in Victorian England, which you learned was throwing lavish parties including intricate rituals and everyone involved.

You however also learned that he is terrified of spiders more than any of the creatures that were popping out at you. And that you were more genius than your genius for bringing a camera in to record his reactions, earning you tons of footage of his albeit cute but equally laughable surprised face.

The haunted house led you guys through a series of rooms, including scenes played out of 'Frankensteins creation', 'Dracula's breaking', 'The Shining's' most origonal scene and more.

Some were even interactive which as Spencer thoroughly enjoyed, as you were more happy to watch the scenes play by.

In the end, you walked out covered in fake blood, spider webs and god knows what they threw at you, grinning like idiots. But never once had you felt un-safe with him beside you, still with your arms linked you walked back to the car together, hands filled with the trinkets and treats gathered that night.

Just before you got to the car he turned to you still grinning, kissed your temple and whispered "Happy Halloween".

priscilla makes her way through the revolving door of the hotel, head buried in her phone as she scans over whatever plans her friends had decided to make after she had announced that she would be going m.i.a. of course there are talks of hitting up her favorite restaurant followed by her favorite club in hopes to entice her, even lena tries to get her attention by sending a picture of her trying on some of pricilla’s clothes in the middle of their dorm.

she sends a simple ‘looks cute!’ before putting her phone on do not disturb just in time for a body to block her path to the elevators. she looks up at the well-dressed man (a stark contrast to her thin pajama shorts and sweatshirt combo she had tugged on before leaving campus) who stares at her curiously, “can i help you?”

“oh, i’m just visiting someone,” she stands up a little straighter and allows the french-canadian accent to slip through, not trying to hide it like she usually did in hopes it made her sound more confident.

“is that so?” he’s got an expression on his face that told her he wasn’t buying what she was selling. he raises his head and gestures toward the front desk where she seems to have garnered the attention of the woman behind it, “we’ll just need to verify that, mrs.-”

“miss,” she cuts the man off, “miss molson.”

she knew that her name wouldn’t hold as much weight as it would back home and though she would never admit it, that was precisely the reason that she chose miami out of the thousands of other universities in between there and montreal. that and the city allowed for significantly more beach days.

“of course and what room are you trying to get to?” he quirks an eyebrow as he leads her over to the desk, “just for security purposes.”

“2523.”

she gives them arber’s room number instead of juraj’s because she knows for a fact that he was in there if the snapchat video complaining how he was out of that moisturizer she had put him on was any clue. she knew that a sephora run was in their near future as the receptionist sent her a tight-lipped smile after she punched in the number and handed the phone over to the man who priscilla decided was acting out of his pay grade.

“hello mr.,” he squints at the sticky note his co-worker flashed him that displayed arber’s last name and she can tell that he debates on it for a moment before clearing throat, “we have a miss molson down here for- oh? yes sir, we’ll send her up. have a great-”

she can hear the sound on the other end signaling that arber has hung up and she holds in her giggle as he hands over the phone, looking rather rattled before narrowing his eyes, “looks like you’re good to go.”

“well, wouldn’t you know?” priscilla sends an over-enthusiastic smile before finally making her way to the elevators. her phone lights up with a message from arber (he, juraj, and her mom the only ones whose notifications would be pushed through when she was on dnd) stating simply ‘he sounds like a dick’ and she does giggle a little then. typing out a ‘he was’ and ‘meet me in j’s room x’ she tucks her phone into her purse and presses the button for juraj’s floor, just a few under arber but she needed to be with at least one of her boys right then.

the signs guide her down a hallway and after turning the corner, she’s in front of his door. she doesn’t even have time to knock before the door is pulled open and juraj’s strong arms wrap around her waist and lift her off the ground. she locks her legs around his waist, squealing out a “juraj!” as he carries her into the safety of his hotel room, away from any prying eyes.

the chain on her purse makes a loud noise as it slides down her arm before clattering to the floor and she is so glad that she had insurance on that thing because she was positive she hears juraj’s feet crush the metal as his lips meet hers for the first time in weeks. she melts into the kiss, letting her hand pull at the hair at the nape of his neck, “arber know that you are here?”

“the concierge called him to make sure that i was allowed up,” priscilla rolls her eyes and juraj looks confused. she shakes her head, “the people downstairs.”

“oh,” he hums before he places a light kiss on her jaw, “better him. i would have run to you.”

“i would’ve run to you too,” before she can pull his head from her neck and kiss him again, a knock sounds at the door and a grin takes over her face, “take me to him.”

“priss is so bossy,” juraj says, but obeys her command nonetheless. with her still wrapped around his front, he leans forward with a hand protecting the back of her head to look through the peephole, “who is it?”

“open the door, slaf,” arber’s voice says and the two share a smile before the younger man pulls on the door. arber visibly relaxes when he spots their girl, “pris- oh!”

she grabs him by the front of his shirt and pulls him inside, allowing herself to be transferred from juraj’s arms to hers so she can welcome him with a kiss too. juraj fumbles with the door as she and arber melt into each other similarly to how she had with the taller man only moments before, “god i missed the both of you so much.”

“month is too long,” juraj mumbles as he presses himself against her back, “very long.”

“i know, i’m sorry,” she mumbles her apology as she reaches a hand back to scratch lightly at his neck. she grins when his lips find her temple, a silent acceptance. her eyes drift to where arber was watching them, big hands on her hips, and an amused expression on his face, “what’s funny?”

“you two,” he kisses the cheek on the side of her face not currently occupied by juraj and sighs, letting his hands slip under her sweatshirt and feel the bare skin there for the first time in damn near six weeks, “how long do we have you?”

“as long as you want me,” she uses her free hand to tangle her fingers with arber’s, bringing his knuckles to her mouth to place a gentle kiss on the skin, “i have a standing reservation at giselle. i shoved an outfit into my bag if you feel like going or we can just hang out here and get room service. i’m already dressed for that.”

arber and juraj share a look, having some mental conversation that they seemed to do a lot of and priscilla never questioned it. juraj hums, “room service. already comfy.”

“that reminds me, did you both bring new sweatshirts for me?” she poses the question and her boys chuckle. “what? it’s all i asked for…”

“you can get them in tampa, priss,” arber assures her as he pulls her over to juraj’s unmade bed while the younger man starts searching for the menu. she huffs and arber grins, “gotta make sure that you don’t break your promise.”

“that sounds a lot like blackmail and i don’t like it.”

“will,” juraj’s eyes scan over the menu, “chicken tenders and fries make up for it?”

“it’s definitely a start.”

Getting Ready for Important Events

Do you have a prom coming up? Or a black tie event, a graduation, a wedding? Maybe nothing at all, but here is a beginner’s guide to (my personal) guide of beauty resources for big events.

1. If you’re planning to wear your hair up for an event, don’t get any keratin treatments done a couple of weeks before. Your hair will not stay in place.

2. Start dress shopping as early as possible. The more you leave things for last minute, the more hectic things will get.

3. Don’t buy dresses too small in hopes that you will lose a lot of weight in time. Buy it as per your current size. Drastic short term weight loss is unlikely.

4. Try the dress on at least 3 times before the event - once when you buy/ receive it; once when your event is about a week away; and 2-3 days prior. The reason being that weight can fluctuate. If you need to give it for alterations, you need to have a few days on your side. Make sure you have the right underwear.

5. Don’t get any facials done a couple of days before your event. Get it done a week or two prior, in case you break out. A lot of women make the mistake of getting facials done last minute or drastically changing their routine for just a few days. Your skin can’t get used to the change so fast and as a result, you break out on the day of the event. Stick to your original routine as much as possible.

6. In my experience, square shaped nails chip the most. If you’re unsure about what sort of nails to get, get a classic French nail, it’ll go with everything.

7. If you’re driving there yourself/ with a friend or in a vehicle that will be parked at the event, it is a good idea to carry an extra pair of flats. Keep it in the car if needed.

8. If you can afford to splurge, best to get waxed rather than shaved. If you have sensitive skin, be careful. You can easily get waxed 2 weeks before the event - waxed skin tends to stay hairless longer, and you won’t accidentally cut yourself with the razor.

9. Your clutch should have oil blotting paper (Sephora has good ones), perfume sample, a little cash, card, lipstick, hair tie and mints.

10. If you’re buying new shoes for this event, break into them. Put some talc powder around the edge of shoes and try to walk at least 3-4 minutes everyday until the event. Wear thin socks initially so that you don’t get any injuries.

11. If you’re stuck between two outfits, or if you have more than one event to attend to in a row, make an outfit PDF. Take pictures of yourself in each outfit, with its corresponding jewellery, accessories and shoes. Upload each outfit + accessories + potential hairstyles + make up looks + nails (the last three can be sourced from Pinterest) to Microsoft Word/ Apple Pages. Place each look on each page. Make sure that everything is clear and visible. Export it to PDF. You can print it if you like.

12. Don’t eat anything junk one week before your event. Start your days with lots of water, green juices, fruits and vegetables. Refrain from alcohol, smoking.

13. Start whitening your teeth a month before the event (if you’ve been given that much notice). Crest is decent.

14. If you’re getting your hair and make up professionally done, it really is a good idea to have a trial run, unless the MUA is tried and tested by you.

15. Plan the day of the event carefully. If your MUA tells you that the make up will take an hour, hold it as 1.5 hours. If your hairdresser says 40 minutes, hold it as 1 hour. Make a schedule for the day so that you are not late. Ensure you have enough time for photos!
