Katsuki Bakugou
Fantasy AU
♤Dragon Jury♤
A ring of smoke reached his cheek. Grazed it, tasted it, warmed it. The crushing weight on his chest made him cough. Raspy, shallow, hard.
"Al-Alright, you scaley freak." Katsuki spat. Raspy, shallow, hard. He stared past the gapping nostrils of the beast. Another breath of bitter cinder brushed his face, filling his lungs.
The paw of the dragon pressed against Katsuki's chest. His leather tunic doing nothing to conceal the pressure. A tsked scoff fell through his gritted teeth.
The dragon shrank closer, bit the cloth of his tunic and pulled him up into the air. Katsuki dug his fingers into the scales of his snout, holding himself, keeping from falling. Katsuki grunted. The dragon growled, its teeth baring against his torn cloth.
Katsuki clenched his hands around the scales, flug his lower body so he was sloth-ed around the beast's chin. Katsuki buried his grip in the dragon's lips, hanging on as it swung its head through the air. Katsuki grinned, grunted, and seethed, "Yeah, I got you right where I want you."
The dragon roared. It unclenched its Jaws and let out a loud, rumbling howl. Mounds of heat left its silver tongue. Katsuki seethed at the heat on his hands. He grounded the backs of his heels into the dragon's chin and twisted his body, his hands pulling at its mouth. The dragon roared and twisted its head, so far its body collapsed onto the field of grass.
Katsuki smirked. The dragon shook its head, trying desperately to claw the Barbarian Prince off of its snout.
"Would you boys stop playing around?"
Kirishima shook his head once more, dropping Katsuki on his back.
"Oof.." Katsuki grunted. He gave a grumbled scoff and clambered to his feet. His dragon friend sat down, shaking the ground beneath their feet the moment his tail reached the concrete. Katsuki scratched his head and looked over at his crossed armed figure. "What do ya want, ya old hag?"
Mitsuki, the Queen, his mother, stood. Her green dress dazzled with jewels and silver fell down her waist and grazed her heels with bristled ends. "Why are you out here, horse-playing?  You both have your first scout today."
Katsuki rolled his eyes, scoffed and grimaced. He wanted to punch Kirishima for his wagging tail and bright slitted eyes. It wouldn't do much in his dragon form, so he didn't.  He walked over to the white tainted piller and snatched his cape off of the altar next to it.
His mother growled, "Look at me when I'm talking to you, Katsuki."
"I heard you." He dropped the cape over his shoulder. He threaded the golden pin through the latch, binding it around his neck. "I got it."
"Katsuki."
"What."
When his red eyes looked back up, his mother was standing in front of him, frowning into his eyes. She grabbed his face, strong and rough, practically yanked him off his feet.
Katsuki growled and tried to pull her away, then her lips were on his forehead and he lit up in fury.
Katsuki struggled from her grasp, yanking away, growling and churning, "What the hell?!"
A snort left Kirishima's nostrils.
"Oh, shut up! Shitty-Scales!"
"Get ready for your scout. Your father will be sending you off." Mitsuki shook a hand through his spikes then trailed away. Katsuki glared at her back, as if expecting to burn a hole through her. It wasn't long before she disappeared behind the field gate.
Katsuki felt a gust of wind blow over his face and body. His clothes and hair shook, but he stood, motionless.
"Oooh, man!" The bright and cheery voice of Kirishima rang. Katsuki forced himself still, so as to not turn around and strangle the shape-shifting dragon. "That was adorable!"
"Say another word, and I will bury you in the ground."
"Whatever you say. Hey, man? Where are my clothes?"
Katsuki turned around, glaring at the naked redhead. Kirishima smiled with sharp teeth, and glowing eyes and the blonde closed his arms over his chest.
Kirishima's smile dropped, "Okay, no, seriously… Where are my clothes?"
"Hell if I know!" Katsuki threw his hands in the air, "I told you not to take them off in the first place!"
"Dude, we have this conversation everyday. If I keep my clothes on when I transform they'll just tear! Then I'd have to walk back to the village with my ass swinging."
"I don't know where your shitty clothes are, tail-face."
"Woah. My tail is rocking."
"Aha… then go rock it bare, back to the village."
Kirishima flashed a smile, "See I wouldn't mind that, but humans don't take too kindly to seeing my junk."
"I'm not doing this with you."
"Yes you are! Help me find them!"
Katsuki turned away. His cape flew behind him as he started towards the gate.
"I- You- Alright, fine! Your Royal Highness." Kirishima called after him. Katsuki felt himself smirk. He pulled the neck of his half torn tunic, and brushed the fabric wrinkles down and kept walking. "See if I help you the next time you lose your cape! It's still overkill by the way!"
"My cape is 'rocking'"
"Wait! Come back! You can't leave me here naked!"
"Come get me when you're ready to go."
"Bakugou!"
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
One flap of his wings, with the might to bend the still, planted trees for miles. One flap. Then, they were in the air.
Katsuki was arched against the dragon's spin. In his hand he held the thorn pikes relieving from Kirishima's scaly back. The red dragon swept over trees, over birds, then through clouds. He flapped his wing again, then was back to gliding.
"First scout, huh?" The sight of the town, the brown towers and homes, the golden and beige architecture bleeding into the forest's natural palette. The sun turned the leaves dark green, light green, gray green, a bunch of greens. Katsuki scoped over the land. He tsked, "The toddlers in the orphanage could do this."
A mighty huff left Kirishima's flared nostrils. He flapped his wings, keeping them level.
Katsuki did his duty, scanning the surface area. He squinted past leaves of trees, spotting civilians. Civilians catching fish, civilians sprawling for sport, civilians dancing, civilians feasting.
The festival.
Katsuki forgot about the festival.
Kirishima must have spotted it too, because he flapped his wings and propelled them faster, past the kingdom square. Katsuki shrank against his neck, wiping his forehead then straightening back up.
"I'm fine, Shitty-Scales." Katsuki mumbled. His voice was carried away by the wind, but Kirishima's ears twitched and it told him he could be heard. "By the end of the damn thing, my Ma will realize she's an idiot."
The dragon snorted.
"I don't care if she's the Queen. She'll always be an ol' hag to me."
Another snort, less strong, soft. Katsuki rolled his eyes.
He didn't want to think about the stupid festival. The party was made with the sole purpose of manipulating him into finding a suitable king or queen. He wasn't interested in marriage, he wasn't interested in dating. 'The hell couldn't he rule the kingdom alone?!
He wouldn't think about it.
If he thought about it then he would get pissy.
His kingdom did not want him to be pissy by the time he got back for the damn festival.
So, he glared down. Glaring through the trees. Green, brown. More green, more brown, blue.
Blue?
"Ejirou, slow down." Katsuki said. He pulled himself to peer down Kirishima's flank as he glided softly. The smallest flicker of blue came from behind a tree, it was foreign, out of place. He narrowed his ruby eyes, and pointed, "Over there. Fly down."
Kirishima opened his mouth and gave a whiney groan. Katsuki knew what he meant, We should fly back, tell the Queen.
"Coward." Katsuki spat, "Fly me down."
Kirishima hesitated.
"Now."
Kirishima dipped, slicing through the air and barreling through the current of wind. He flew, changing direction and lowering his altitude. Katsuki squinted at the trees as they got closer, trying to see that blue spark again.
There was nothing.
The wind from Kirishima's wings thrusted the tree's leaves. They bent and flew, some fell to join the others on the ground. By the time Kirishima's heavy paws marked the dirt,  they were centered in snowing leaves sticking to them.
Katsuki jumped from his back, his boots sticking to the soot. Kirishima knew what to do. He shrank back, ducked and went silent. Birds stopped chirping, bunnies stopped moving, and the rare phenomenon of silence shook Katsuki to his core.
A leaf stuck to his bare abdomen. He plucked it off and dropped it to the ground with the rest. He looked around. Felt the leftover wind graze his face. Then… stillness. Absolute silence.
Katsuki drew his blade from the scabbard at his lower hip.
"I would show myself, if I was you." Katsuki spat. He spun his blade, the pommel at the grip pressing against the bottom of his palm as he held it forward.
The silence broke. The smallest rustle of leaves broke the stillness. The sound of twigs rustling, leaves shaking. The blonde prince spun around, quick.
An earth shattering grumble vibrated through Kirishima's throat. He opened his mouth, and his tongue glowed with flames. Katsuki held up a hand, silently telling him to hold. The dragon obeyed.
A figure broke from the bush. His boot smacked the earth, and his hands flexed at his side. Katsuki scanned him, from his feet up. The black slacks held at his waist, the gray and black tunic that split off near his lower thigh, the silver chains around his throat, the purple scars that plagued his face and skin.
"Who the hell are you?" Katsuki held his sword, made sure the stranger knew that he was skilled enough to slit his throat.
Kirishima held his unsure stance, showing his sharp teeth.
The stranger held up his hands, grinning with a sarcastic surrender, "The name's Dabi. Nice to meet you too."
"You're trespassing."
"How would you know that? You know everyone in the kingdom by face?"
Katsuki snorted. It wasn't humorous, it was threatening. He tilted his blade, and at the same time he upturned his head. "No. But witches and mages aren't welcome here."
Dabi grinned, "Oh? Who said I'm a mage?"
"That stunt you just pulled."
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Bullshit. You aren't from here. Where are you from?" Katsuki stepped closer.
Dabi tilted his head up as the sharp blade got closer to the purple scarring on his throat. He still held his hands in on either side of his head, grinning, smirking.
"I'd love to give you a run down on my life story, but I'd feel a little better doing that without a blade to my throat, and an oversized lizard breathing on me."
"Dragon."
"Lizard. Dragon's are extinct."
"Are you fuckin stupid?-"
"Listen kid," Dabi put a hand on the sword, gently lowering it. "How about you forget you saw me, and run back to your little village."
"Go jump off a cliff."
"Ouch."
Katsuki clenched down on his sword's grip. He brought it back up to Dabi's throat, "Leave my kingdom. If I see your face again, I'll drive this blade into your brain."
"I get the gist." Dabi lowered his hands. Katsuki glared, he didn't stop until the scarred bastard started moving his feet.
Kirishima snapped his mouth shut, and both the teenage boys watched Dabi retreat into the safety of the trees. Katsuki slid his sword back into the scabbard and breathed.
Kirishima harbored closer to his blonde friend. He extended his muzzle so close that Katsuki could feel his retracting and extending breaths.
Katsuki gave him a pat, "Let's get back to the village."
He gave a low roar.
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
The persistent pulling of the chiperish girl didn't stop him from yanking away and falling into a seat at the table. His chest was heaving, his blonde strands were a mess on his head, and the black and gold doublet collar made it suddenly hard to breathe.
Katsuki grabbed the collar and yanked it away with a grimace.
The girl, strand of red, and grace of none took the seat beside him. She smiled into his face, "Don't tell me you're tired already, prince. The festival has hardly begun."
"Get the hell out of my face." He snapped once.
Katsuki expected her persistence and energy to over take his spoiled words, but her face quickly dropped and she moved away; finally taking a hint. Katsuki fell back against the chair, groaning, and breathing for the first time since he'd arrived.
"You'll never find a bride like that, Katsuki."
Fucking Hag.
He didn't bother to look at his mom. Not even when she slid into the vacant seat beside him. Katsuki wanted nothing more than to go to his room, swing a few swords with his father and call it a night. It was nearly sun down and he was stuck in a party with a bunch of rich hungry assholes.
"Good. I don't want a bride."
"No groom would want that hostility either."
Katsuki smacked his lips and rolled his eyes. He gave no verbal response though, he was sure his mother knew exactly what he meant and was deciding to be an ignorant wrench. So silently, he turned his back to the grinning woman and watched the dancers ahead of the table.
"Is this you telling me you favor men? I can send all the ladies home."
"I swear to god–" He gritted his teeth.
"What about that dragon boy you're always spending time with? He'd be a mighty king."
"I'm not gay, you hag!"
"Well, you haven't given one of these young ladies a look all night. You need a suitress, Katsu."
"Don't call me that."
"Look at me." Mitsuki said. Though stern, it was soft.
Katsuki turned and looked at his mom. Her red eyes softened and it made his body tense as if it knew what was coming before his brain could catch up. She reached out and cupped his face, and despite instinct, he let her.
"My son, I worry about you. This isn't just about the kingdom, this about you having someone besides you. Don't take it so lightly." She mumbled. It lacked hostility, it lacked demand and it made him a little more confused than he would ever admit. He looked away, staring at the leg of the table and feeling her thumb brush over his cheek. "I just don't want you to be alone."
Finally, whatever trance he was in died and he slapped her hand away. He jerked back, crossed his arms and slouched in his chair with the hardest snarl he could muster.
"Leave me alone."
Suddenly an arm was around his neck and was pulling him out of his chair.
"You ungrateful brat! There is no winning with you!" Mitsuki yelled, twisting her fist in his hair.
Katsuki pried at her arm, "Let go of me, you dumb-"
"Finish that sentence I dare you! I will kick your ass in front of everyone, don't try me Katsuki Bakugou."
"I'd like to see you try, you useless asswipe!"
"Watch your mouth you little—"
A scream.
One single scream made both of the both relatives stop and look around.
Mitsuki pushed Katsuki back in his chair and stood up. Without a second of hesitation Katsuki straightened himself and his eyes fell to his mother. Her face was painted blues and purples from a strange light source that was not in effect earlier.
He followed his mother's wide, still eyes.
And flames.
Blue, sulfide, and heat was all that consumed the once vibrant and cheery landscape.
He fell back into his chair.
His back hit the spine of the wood and he choked at what he saw.
Flames the color of hades, plunging its way into every crevasse it could find. Screams rattled through his skull, the cackle of the horrific fire sunk into his ear drums and suddenly he was paralyzed.
And as if the devil.
One stray man parted from the gapping wall of flames that was created in seconds.
Katsuki looked at the man, starting from the feet and moving his eyes up.
He wore slacks, held at his waist, a gray and black tunic that split off near his lower thigh, silver chains gaping around his throat, and insidious purple scars that plagued his face and skin.
He grinned, "I thought you guys might be a little cold."

Katsuki with sisters.
cw: oc's, Katsuki's a little aggressive for a second but then he's soft again.
-
I’m naming younger sister Tsukino because it means “of the moon”.
The older one Tsukimi because it means “Moon-viewing” and Mitsuki’s name means “beautiful moon”.
Katsuki’s name means “Win season” and Masaru’s name means “Victory”, so it just made sense.
-
Siblings are siblings, they fight, argue, etc. But I think Katsuki would have a relatively good relationship with his sisters.
We all know he takes after Mitsuki so maybe Tsukino takes after Masaru and Tsukimi is a mix of both (Gentle but also cocky and wants to be the best.) They are def impulse control siblings.
I think Tsukimi is definitely Mitsuki’s favourite because she’s the oldest and the older she got the more they related to each other. Tsukimi tells Mitsuki all the gossip and Mitsuki loves hearing it.
(I see Mitsuki as the type of mom that is always showing of her children’s achievements. So, when she comes across the other moms that like doing that, she’ll always tell them the gossip she heard about THEIR child.)
Maybe Tsukino gets along with their father more. They probably play board or card games together and watch the same shows. (Why do I feel like Masaru’s the type of dad that likes reality TV shows or dramas. Probably finds it so entertaining.)
Their personality’s definitely clash but they get along well for the most part. Tsukimi also tells Katsuki gossip too. Just walks into his room, sits on his bed and starts telling him the craziest stories.
Tsukino and Katsuki tease each other a lot, pulling the middle finger at each other when their parents aren't looking. (They also fight the most out of all of them.) But she also would ask him advise on what to do about the guy she likes. (Katsuki would tease her for a good minute before actually giving he advise.)
-
Maybe y/n’s one of Tsukimi’s younger friends (Around Katsuki’s age or younger.) that Katsuki has a huge crush on. You’re really close with Tsukimi so whenever there is a family gathering, she brings you along. You practically part of the family now and Tsukimi insists you are.
He finds you so unbelievably attractive and has a hard time hiding it. (You’re always teasing him.) Gets all nervous around you and Tsukimi always lectures him about staying away from you.
Maybe Tsukino had a school play or some sort of performance where she landed a big role. You and Tsukimi were helping her get ready, Tsukimi doing her hair while you did, her makeup and Bakugou couldn’t help but stare at you looking so focused.
He’s always stealing glances at you whenever the chance presents himself.
OR maybe you’re an older friend of Tsukino. You’re a terrible influence too, always getting her in trouble and making her do reckless things. Bakugou was fed up with you and your antics, Tsukino is constantly grounded and in detention.
She doesn’t normally act like this, she was honestly a teacher’s pet before you. Now she’s a whole new person. So, after finally convincing Tsukino to show him to you he walked up to planning to confront you. But the closer he got the more attractive you were.
Gorgeous even and he was out of words by the time you two were face to face. You were gossiping with some of the kids around, some even smoking. Before you noticed someone approaching you.
“What?”
This man walked up to you like he was planning to punch you but stopped short when he got close. He just stood there staring at you for a while before you noticed someone standing behind him.
“Tsukino?” On second thought they looked oddly similar, and it didn’t take you long to connect the dots.
“Is this your dad? Did you rat on me?”
A few of they other kids started giggling whispering the worst about her and all Tsukino could do was look away embarrassed.
“Katsuki let’s just go, it wasn’t worth it anyway.” She whispered pulling his arm.
“I thought we were friends Tsuki? Now you’re telling on me. I helped you.” You pout was so fake you weren’t even trying to pretend. You were making fun of her, and it was working the kids only laughed louder and embarrassed her more.
“You didn’t help her, you got her in trouble and now all the things she did are on her permanent record, and she’ll live with that forever.”
“And what are you gonna do about it old man?”
At this point Katsuki would have been boiling. He can’t believe you were still under the impression that he was Tsukino’s father. Did he look any sort of old to you? He’d probably want to attack you, if it weren’t for how attractive you looked talking to him.
You’re definitely younger than him, it was noticeable. You looked like you could be in Tsukino’s grade, freshly graduated? There must be a reason why you aren’t getting in trouble too.
It didn’t matter, you were a terrible person a bully even. Just like him when he was younger.
“Are you just gonna stand there? Don’t you have you wife and kids to go back to?” You really knew how to push someone’s buttons. Katsuki didn’t do too well with that, and he retaliated.
You shrieked in pain as he squeezed your wrist. “Say you’re sorry.” His tone was demanding and the longer you it took you to comply the tighter he’d squeeze your wrist.
“Let go of me” You screamed but it only made him squeeze tighter. At this point the other kids were retreating in fear leaving you all alone with Katsuki and a useless Tsukino. “Katsuki, stop!” Tsukino shrieked seeing your eyes water. You finally apologized in low whimpers, feeling your circulation cut off in you hand. And he let go.
Tears sung your eyes as the bruising on your wrist got darker. You held onto it in pain letting out a hiss when the pain you hand made contact. “Leave my sister alone from now on.” Katsuki muttered feeling a little bad when tears fell.
He signalled for Tsukino to go back to the car, and she hesitantly did. “Being a bully doesn’t get you anywhere.” He advised reaching his hand out to help you. You didn’t want his help though, he’d done enough.
“Fuck off.” Your voice was soft and shaky when you said it. Katsuki was really starting to feel bad, and he couldn’t bring himself to leave you there. “I’m sorry, okay? Let me help you.” He placed a light hand on you shoulder. When you finally looked up at him your eyes were soft and your cheeks tear stained.

Fire in the Hole [Bakugo] (Fluff)
(One-shot 2/? in a collection of My Hero Academia one-shots posted regularly on Saturdays.)
Read on AO3.
Tags: Bakugo x OC, Katsuki Bakugo, Dynamight, Pro-Hero Bakugo, Pro-Hero OC, Feisty OC, Fluff, Fluff with maybe a little angst, one explosion boy.
Word Count: 1,202 words
Summary: Everyone knows that Dynamight can be a hot-head. But Tigress notices that his aggression is doubled when directed at her, and she's in for a wild surprise when she finds out why.
Author's Note: This one-shot isn't a part of a series, so if you're ever looking to see what character I'm writing for, I'll give a character name and whether it's angst, fluff, or smut in the title. Enjoy!
Ichijiku (Tigress)
It’s a little off-putting to say the least when Dynamight starts acting weird around me. Every time we team up against villains, he seems to get more feral and aggressive towards me. Granted, he’s always been feral and aggressive…but he really likes laying into me.
Today he pushes a little too far. I step into his agency to visit a friend and he roars his displeasure.
“WHY THE HELL IS THIS DAMN CAT HERE AGAIN?!” He bellows at me. “YOU’VE GOT SOME NERVE–”
My fist swings around to meet his face and he blocks it with surprisingly quick reflexes. I use the momentum to slam my foot up into his stomach as I scream at top volume, pumping fear into him.
I’m not surprised when he lands a hit into my side, but I remain on my feet with bared teeth.
“Stop treating me like a damn disease, Dynamight!” I hiss. “I came here to visit a friend, not listen to you complain!”
“Who the hell do you think you’re talking to?” He grits his teeth with a glare at me.
I try not to admit to myself that he makes me feel warm inside. That despite his abrasive exterior, I appreciate his authenticity and the subtle ways he takes care of others. Even though he hides it.
“Ichan! You made it!” Sayuri chirps from behind. Her face instantly turns into a scowl as she wraps an arm around me and guides me away. “Leave my bestie alone, Dynamight. We’ll be back.”
“You’d better. I don’t pay you to goof off, Phobos.” He growls.
“We’ll be fifteen minutes, tops, pretty boy.” I huff over my shoulder.
“You better make that ten, extra!”
“I’ll make it twenty if you piss me off!”
. . . . .
Lunch with Sayuri has become habit at this point. It’s friend time carved into the week in order to help me maintain my mental sanity. I recline at the table as we wait for our waitress.
“So, how are you and Kiri doing these days? I miss hearing about my besties!” I giggle, smiling at the waitress as she comes by to take our drinks and orders.
“He’s the best! And I’m sorry we haven’t been keeping in touch much. You know with the move we’ve been pretty stressed. And there’s been a tick in crime this fall season.” She surveys the area as she says it before grinning. “But aside from that, things have been well. It still seems crazy that we’ve already been married for six months.”
“It feels unreal.” I agree, before the waitress brings our drinks.
I get quiet as I sip my tea and look at Dynamight’s bright sign for his agency next door. Why is he so mean to me anyway? Little brat is asking for a visit from my claws. I don’t realize my facial expressions show my thoughts so loudly until Sayuri speaks up.
“Sorry about Dynamight. He’s a bitch.” She chuckles, sipping her water. “I hope it didn’t bother you too much. I know sometimes loud noises are hard for you.”
“Is he always like that?” I ask, wondering if maybe I’ve been exaggerating how he behaves around me. I’ve always heard he’s a hothead, so maybe I’ve just been walking in at the peak of his tantrums?
“To an extent,” Sayuri begins, before looking thoughtful and adding. “He always seems more aggressive towards you now that I think about it. Did you do something to piss him off?”
“I knew it!” I set my chair all the way down just as the waitress comes by and drops off our sushi. I pull out my chopsticks as I sigh. “I don’t know what I did to him. All I know is that every time I enter the room, he targets me. I swear it’s like he’s got a tracker on me.”
“Yeah…I’m sorry. I know you like him.” She shakes her head and pops some sushi in her mouth.
“It’s nothing serious.” I shrug, even though it hurts more than I bargain for.
While we both pause to savor the flavor, I start turning over memories of fighting with Dynamight. Even since the first time we worked together, it feels like he’s only ever had it out for me. In fact, I barely interacted with him that first time. What the hell is his problem?
We make it back to Dynamight’s agency exactly fifteen minutes after we left thanks to quick service at the sushi shop. When we walk in, Dynamight’s busy with a group of rookie sidekicks.
“You idiots! You’ve got to try harder. If you keep making little mistakes like that, they’ll pile up and it could mean someone’s life instead of a faulty budget. Go fix it!” He hisses, but it lacks the venom he uses with me.
“See?” Sayuri whispers. “I don’t get it. The little shit.”
When the rookies move away, he notices us and his face twists in anger.
“There you are! I told you you had ten minutes!” He snaps.
“And I told you that we’d be back in fifteen.” I stand firm, glaring at him.
“Shove off, Dynamight.” Sayuri rolls her eyes and storms past him, looking professional and ready to work. I don’t miss that she stops just outside her office to watch us, though. When we don’t go for each others’ throats, she steps inside.
“I have a question for you, Dynamight.” I say with piercing eyes. “What did I ever do to piss you off?”
“Tch. You’re wasting my time. I’ve got an agency to run.” He turns and stomps off.
I head towards him for a moment, before I clench my fists and start walking back downstairs to leave. Not worth the energy. Just a stupid crush. I’m rounding the corner of the stairwell when I’m shoved into a dark, empty room.
“Goddamn it…how do you do it?” Dynamight’s voice growls in the darkness. When I squirm, he grips my wrists and turns on the light. His red eyes bore into mine, pupils huge. “What made you think you’d pissed me off?”
“Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the fact that you’re meaner to me than everyone else.” I growl, despite the growing attraction buzzing in my chest. I shield it with anger. “It doesn’t matter when I’m here, you always single me out!”
My pulse picks up speed as I struggle to maintain eye contact, but he’s a lot stronger than me. At least in this moment. He grips my chin with his hand and gets closer to my face. My eyes flicker to his lips for half a second.
“Don’t you understand anything?” His calloused thumb rubs my cheek, making me meet his eyes again. “I’m only more pissy with you because you make me feel like doing this.”
His lips capture mine and I could swear his quirk extends to my heart as an explosive force draws my arms around his neck. I tangle my fingers in his hair before pulling my other hand down to rest at his chest until we both pull back, our expressions much softer and uncertain.
“You know…you could have just told me that instead of making me think you hated me.” I swallow thickly.
“Whatever.” His cheeks tinge the slightest shade pink. “I get off at 7. You like sushi, yeah?”
“I do.” I smirk.
“Then your ass better be here by 7:05.” His lips ghost my ear before he leaves.

Chemical Reaction - Bakugou x (F)Reader
I don’t write a whole lot but Bang Bang by K’Naan and Adam Levine made me really inspired!
Background: You are a vigilante whose quirk is Chemical Manipulation: The user can manipulate the biochemicals within others by infusing a chemical reaction into an object, causing various effects. Special moves would be serotonin changes (makes the target incredibly sleepy, or nauseous, but can also speed up healing processes), dopamine rush (causes the target to get so happy they don’t want to attack her or fight back), and endorphin boost (gives a boost to pain receptors causing everything to hurt more). For safety reasons, you like to stay far away from your target, opting to use a bow with felt tipped arrows to transfer your quirk into. But you can use a rubber knife as well. For your quirk to work, the object just needs to touch the other person.
Running down the alley, you could hear the angry yells of a certain blonde haired hero student. It wasn’t your fault that you stumbled upon his training with pro hero Endeavor, but how could you resist messing with the two hotheads.
A few moments earlier…
Watching their training from an adjacent rooftop, you were surprised it took them so long to notice you. ‘Some heroes they are, if I were a villain I could have ended both of them,’ you thought, sighing at their obliviousness.
This is why you decided to become a vigilante instead of applying to hero school. There were too many politics and rules involved with being a hero, so instead of signing a deal with the devil government, you decided to just save people.
And you were dang good at it too. News article after news article argued about whether or not you were a threat or a good samaritan. The people seemed to like you, there was little pushback against your actions within the general public. Aside from the fact that you sometimes killed the villains you ran into, you were no different than a hero.
Stretching, you stood, pulling your bow from your shoulders and notching a soft arrow, aiming right for the student hero. A smirk graced your lips as you released the arrow with a soft thwap as it quickly crossed the distance, hitting the boy in his chest with a soft thud.
Both of their attention was quickly on you, the boy's palms heating up as he prepared to attack when he suddenly doubled over, a giddy laugh breaking through his lips as he fought the urge to lay back and relax.
Endeavor looked at the boy curiously before turning his attention back to you, “Hi! I’m a big fan of your hero work Endeavor! Your job as a father leaves much to be desired though.” you called out, a big grin on your face.
“Oh and don’t worry about your student, the dopamine rush will go away soon!” you called out as you moved to get off the roof quickly. Playing a trick was all well and good, but the look on Endeavor’s face told you that this may have been a mistake.
Once you were on the street, you pulled off your mask, folding your bow into its pocket on your hip as you blended into the crowd of civilians. All was well until you heard a series of small explosions behind you and a bellow of your vigilante name.
Turning around in horror, you were met with the blonde student, a fierce glare on his face. Yelping, you took off through the crowd, running with a newfound energy.
Current time…
“Get back here you extra!” he yelled at you as he maneuvered through the alleyways. “No, thank you! You seem awfully angry!” you called out over your shoulder, not looking where you were going when you ran into a trashcan.
Tumbling onto the ground, you began crawling to your feet when you froze. Heavy footsteps stopped just behind your crouched figure. Peering up at the angry boy's face, you cringed, ‘this really might be it for me’ you thought.
He growled as he grabbed you by the shirt front, lifting you off the ground as his face got closer. You knew he was yelling at you, his face contorted in anger, but you were mesmerized by his beautiful crimson eyes.
“You’re really hot up close” you blurted out when he paused for breath, ‘oops, didn’t mean to say that outloud.’ You just smiled as he froze, his face morphing into confusion. “What the hell!?” he yelled, but there was a lot of malice in his voice as he tried to sort through what you had said.
Reaching a hand down to your thigh, you pulled out a toy gun, putting a large amount of energy into the faux bullet as you pushed the barrel into his chest, “sorry handsome, but I really don’t feel like getting beat up by you today” you said with a smile.
Pulling the trigger, he was hit by a soft foam bullet before looking down at the weapon. He scoffed, “what is it with you and soft weapons huh!” he yelled, shaking you in his group when he was suddenly overcome with exhaustion.
He fought the heaviness of his eyelids as you slipped from his grasp, gently helping him to the ground. “You’ll just have to take a quick nap here, but you should totally find me some time when you’re not mad at me!” you whispered to him, running a soft hand across his cheek before he succumbed to your quirk.
When he awoke a few minutes later, he felt his face go red as the memories of his interaction with you flooded his mind. He went through a wide range of emotions, he was angry, embarrassed and definitely more than a little curious about you. “She shot me, twice!” he groaned out in the empty alleyway.
He was definitely going to find you again, he had a score to settle, and maybe he also wanted to know more about you.
