Accidentally conjuring a dragon with Ancient Magic wasn't exactly what most would consider a stroke of luck, but as the secret entrance to the Undercroft slammed shut behind her, Aurélie thought herself very lucky on several accounts: first, that the dragon had been small, as far as dragons go; second, that Sebastian hadn't been there to witness her embarrassing blunder (because, as enthusiastic as he was about her practising her magic, she felt certain even he would draw the line at conjuring fire-breathing demon-lizards in a school; and third, that she'd managed to escape said demon-lizard without so much as a singed hair (hers, not the dragons.)

Luck — if one ignored the extremely unlucky circumstances that directly proceeded it — was on her side.

Soo....

He is the cutest damn guy in the universe. I mean look at him. He's wonderful.

My s/i and him knew each other since grad school and Lenny didn't want to admit that he had a crush so he kept it a secret for a whileee. Of course he admits it later.

They're both pretty similar with what they like. They watch documentaries and play way too many games together. My s/i never shames Leonard for his intrests but will call him and the gang out when they say dumb crap.

AND my s/i verry much dislikes his mom. He goes out of his way to make sure Leonard gets the encouragement and affection his parents never gave him. My guy deserves it.

STOPPPP YOU GUYS ARE THE CUTEST. Leonard loves you soo so much he loves that you enjoy the same interests as him! I love you penny but she was kind of not mean but I guess she definitely didn’t encourage it too much 😭😭?? Do you know what I mean?

Just found out today that my friend posts fanfiction as well.

She told me, nervously, that she posts her writing. And I was like oh! me too!

And her eyes lit up, I’m saying, LIT. UP.

She was like… what do you write?

I was like… fanfiction.

And she was like girl…

I asked where she posts her writing.

The duration of our conversation included giggling and talking about our fandoms like maniacs.

The crew of a massive container ship that crashed into the Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore early Tuesday warned of power issues before the collision, which caused the bridge to collapse into the frigid Patapsco River, officials said.

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore said the warning from the ship’s crew likely saved lives.

“We’re thankful that between the mayday and the collapse, that we had officials who were able to begin to stop the flow of traffic so more cars were not on the bridge,” Moore said. He called those officials heroes.

Moore noted that the bridge was up to code at the time of the collapse. He said the collapse was a “shocking and heartbreaking” event for the people of Maryland who have used the bridge for 47 years.
