(that I need to update, sue me) What are some ways you interact in the fandom?: I write enough Ron fic to feed a small village. I do write quite a bit, sometimes I video edit when the inspiration strikes. I'm also quite active on Discord in which I do a lot of yelling and screaming about things; so please feel free to ask for it. I also comment at-length when I have the time for that kind of thing (but chances are I'll personally yell either way) Favourite colour: Dark blue :] Current favourite song: Not Strong Enough - boygenius (yeah well I liked it BEFORE IT WAS COOL!! /lh) What would you say if I held up a can of peaches?: full body cringe and recoiling because Leckie throwing up peaches gave me the heeby jeebies Complete this sentence: “Where the hell is ___ company?!”: F COMPANY!!!!!!! If little yapping purse dogs could spout words of encouragement that would be me — they give a whole lot to the fandom and I'm quite lucky to know such talented writers. Charlie Dalton? Got into a real dps mood after watching the movie lol

part time lover, full time friend (anyone else but you by the moldy peaches)

charlie dalton.

you had known him for years. there wasn't a part of you; for better or worse, that he hadn't seen. and you had seen him, for him, those moments that were so fleeting because he kept his true self so hidden from others, from you.

it was only natural that you developed feelings that veered toward the more romantic sort. of course, you were content to only be part of his life as a friend. it was easier that way.

and it was only natural that charlie ruined the content delusional world you lived in when he kissed you at a party.

full of liquor, feeling like you might be sick any minute, that all vanished when charlie placed that gentle kiss to your lips. full and sure of himself.

his thumb swiping over your cheek in a tender moment that twisted your heart painfully because...

because it was one thing to dream and fantasize about what it would be like to have this moment with charlie. to love him. to have him. but now that you had a small taste, it made the longing harder to bear.

especially when it happened again. and again. and again. until you came to expect it at least once when you attended a party with him.

it was only a matter of when, not if, your heart would give out - unable to take any more of this torture.

charlie was a coward.

he knew it with every sweet kiss he bestowed upon you, it would be easier if they were passionate, lust-filled. an easy excuse. but it was never like that with you.

you were safe, you were comfort, you were home.

so of course he fell in love with you. he just couldn't tell you that because it was selfish, you deserved better than him.

he couldn't help, though, the careful way he touched you after a kiss. wanting the moment to linger, waiting for his heart to steady, hoping you would say something this time.

instead he pulls away, and instead of taking the risk, acts like the friend he's been for years until he can't resist his heart's pull to you.

. .

you're waiting for the train, shivering from the wind that is blowing through the open station. charlie leans against you, arm offering warmth, and maybe something else. you don't know anymore.

the train is late, the attendant had said so, but you didn't mind much.

conversation had been flowing for a while but dropped off into silence. and you didn't mind that either.

it was exhausting talking to charlie like there wasn't a giant elephant in every moment with him, screaming 'i love you i love you i love you'.

the train whistles and you look down the tracks to watch it approach, but you sigh when it's the wrong one. more waiting. passengers get on and off.

it leaves the station and there is a sudden darkness that takes over the area. you can see a few splatters of stars in the sky.

you turn to charlie, he's been too quiet, but when you turn he kisses you softly. a barely there peck.

completely sober, not an ounce of inebriation, looking at you with a look that sets your heart racing.

"can you forgive me for being a fool?"

you kiss him somehow, it's clumsy, you're smiling too much. and you almost knock charlie off balance, but he remains firm. returning the kiss with force.

"i think i can."

full time friend made into a full time lover.

Five Fic Feedback!

Tagged by: No one! Seen this floating about a few fandoms, and decided to bring it over to bagginshield!

Rules: Pick five fics you've written, then tell us about how you feel about it vs how readers have received it!

1 - Bad Blood

My Thoughts: This one is way bigger than I meant it to be! It was going to be about 5k words and the only scene I had in my head was Bilbo biting the elven guard, haha! Readers: People really seem to love this one! I feel like feral Bilbo is always a crowd-pleaser, and this fic got much more attention than I ever expected it to! - 2 - Soldier My Thoughts: I'm really proud of this one. It was my first bagginshield fic, and it was after a loooong break from writing. Even though it's a bit weak in places, I have such a soft spot for it. Readers: I ended up re-posting this one after some harassment kicked my confidence down the toilet, but since then the reception has been very positive! - 3 - Poet My Thoughts: I'm sorry to say it, but this is probably my least favourite fic I've written. If it wasn't so popular I'd have removed it and altered the end of Soldier so it was just one fic! Readers: This fic seems to be very popular, and was the first time someone made art of my work - and more than once! I remember posting the first chapter and not expecting very much, only to come onto tumblr and see random posts where folks were super excited to see it was updating! It was such a lovely feeling! - 4 - My Ego Dies My Thoughts: I genuinely love this one, I think it's probably my personal favourite. I really enjoy playing about with the idea of "forgiveness" between Bilbo and Thorin, and this fic really scratched a particular itch for me! Readers: Probably my least popular fic - statistically, at least! I've found most folk weren't into it for one reason or another, but the people who love it, really, really love it! -

5 - Stealing Moments, Moments Away My Thoughts: I wish I'd taken more time with this one in some ways, but in others it really is the reshirement fic I wanted to tell. Again, I got to tinker with that "forgiveness" trope, and have a good look at what survival might realistically have meant for Thorin. Readers: This one is a quick read, and it's soft and fluffy, so I think readers enjoy it for that reason, though I believe some found it a bit boring. It was being updated almost daily, and the folks who were invested came back to comment and read practically every time I updated, which was just amazing to me! - 6 - Backs To The Wall (Sorry, I've written six, so I wanted to do all of them!) My Thoughts: I wrote this because it was something I wanted to read, and couldn't find. It's been amazingly fun, and I told myself when I started (knowing it was going to be fairly long - even if I didn't realise quite how long at the time, haha) that I wasn't going to take it too seriously, and I was really only writing this for myself, as the most self-indulgent kind of nonsense, ever! Readers: I can't begin to tell you how utterly blown away by the response to this I've been. Like?? It's just crazy to me how much folks are enjoying this, how excited and supportive everyone has been! I was named after the ancient war hero Halley the Blood Comet.

When was the last time you cried?

It was years ago when I was told about the coup that ousted my family from Eagleheart. Can you imagine? Hatchlings slain while they slept, my great uncle Odo took fifty wounds from claw, beak, and sword, so that the remainder could escape an avenge the fallen one day.

Do you have kids?

No. I have never had any luck courting. If you any available eagles, please let me know.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

No.

What is the first thing you notice about people?

Who are they? Is it a loyal subject, or a bird from another eyrie? What is their rank, and are they alone, or in a group?
