what makes you think the writers want deancas? not trying to be an asshole, i'm just genuinely curious as to why you think that. i know berens' episodes are pretty heavy with subtext so i can see why you'd say that he wants it, but i'm not so sure about the rest of the writers/dabb. it seems like meghan isn't a huge fan either, given her "they twisted it so fast" tweet :/ of course she's a very new writer (think she's only writing one ep this season?) but still
OKAY this is a great question, welcome to my dissertation.
I’m going to address the end of your question first. Meghan is actually DeanCas positive, she has been for quite a long time. She actually, a few years back, posted a picture of her reading a literal book about Destiel and captioned it “writing reading” or something like that.
This whole thing just comes out of a boiling over of tensions because of how nasty fandom twitter can be. Like I said here, I think this has just gotten blown out of proportion, they shouldn’t have posted all this randomly disparaging stuff, but also like...can you blame them? The fandom is a lot, we always have been, and they’re probably also under a gag order not to talk about the finale, and are annoyed that people keep asking.
So nah, Meg is not anti Destiel.
To the first part!! So let’s take a look at the show runners since Cas has been around.
Seasons 4 and 5: Kripke
Seasons 6 and 7: Gamble
Seasons 8-11ish: Carver
Seasons 11ish-15: Dabb
So starting with Kripke. Okay, yes, I will be the first to admit that we have some pretty incredible Destiel moments in these seasons, but it’s less directly written into the plot and much more from Misha and Jensen’s uhhhh ~chemistry~. The only times it was directly written into the script was when the episode was handled by someone like Edlund (“On The Head Of A Pin,” “The End,” “My Bloody Valentine”). And you have to remember, if in season 5, there are moments here and there where you’re like huh that’s suspiciously romantic dialogue, remember that Cas took Anna’s place. Anna was supposed to be endgame for Dean, but due to a myriad of issues and Misha’s general greatness, Anna was replaced with Cas.
Onto 6 and 7. Hmmm. Gamble. 6 and 7 are my two least favorite seasons and that’s no secret, and that’s not only due to the plain old weird shit in the overall storyline, but also that homegirl killed off Cas in s7 and then Bobby like four episodes later. (Also it ALWAYS rubbed me the wrong way they couldn’t have Baby in that season lol). We still had some great DeanCas moments, but again, it wasn’t really written into the overall arc (until they had to change the end of season 7 because of tanking ratings and bring Misha back lol, anyone remember the fact that Dean kept Cas’ jacket and would randomly dream of him? Yeah.). But we still had those moments, those distinctly romantic moments, probably the best example in these two seasons is from Edlund again, specifically “The Man Who Would be King,” I wrote a little about that here.
We move onto Carver, who gave us, at this point, the most overt DeanCas season with season 8 (season gr8 is a better name imo), and this is the first time Dean and Cas’ relationship is directly written as an arc of the season.  I mean, you have everything in Purgatory, Dean “seeing” Cas everywhere, the fact that he felt so guilty that Cas stayed in Purgatory that he manipulated his own memories to think that he was the one that failed Cas, because he couldn’t comprehend that Cas would want to leave him, and let’s not forget Dean snapping Cas out of Naomi’s hold on him in “Goodbye Stranger.”  It was a very obvious shift, not enough to alert the general audience, but more than enough for most of us in fandom.
It’s also important to note that this is when Andrew stopped co writing with Loflin and started writing his own episodes (”Hunter Heroici” anyone?)  I like Loflin fine, but Dabb was able to stretch his legs a little bit more once he stopped co-writing, and we also began to see some DeanCas themes in his solo episodes.
In any case, them and their issues being a big part of the seasons continued with Carver, and Berens entered the scene, his first episode (”Heaven Can’t Wait”) is one of my favorites, with human Cas and the fanfiction gap and Dean and Cas just generally being awkward and funny and sweet.  This is Bobo’s FIRST episode, remember that.  He comes right out of the gate with it.
Also in Season 9, this is when Dean takes the Mark of Cain, and the Cas/Colette mirror is born, so obviously, Dean and Cas are the fabric of the season once again.  This is also the season where Metatron says Cas is “in love with humanity,” and then immediately refers to Dean as Humanity so uhhhh yeah.
Onto season 10, Dabb and Berens continue with their greatness (I could write pages on the DeanCas date in “The Things We Left Behind” alone).  And then we have one of the best scenes in the entire show in “The Prisoner” where the Cas/Colette mirror continues and Dean, driven by grief and pain and rage and the Mark, still doesn’t kill Cas.  He still can’t kill Cas.
Season 11 is important because it takes choice away from both Cas and Dean, and shows us, as the audience, how much losing each other takes out of them. We saw in season 10 how much losing Dean takes from Cas, but what about Cas losing Dean?  Dean loses his choice with his connection to Amara this season, and loses even more when Lucifer reveals he’s been possessing Cas, and plays on Dean’s connection to Cas like a mockery.  It’s also worth noting that, similarly to season 8, Dean breaks out of the connection with Amara when he’s worried about Cas, and that’s something that even SHE is surprised by.
But then season 12, the beginning to the Renaissance.  This is when we get the writer’s that become important for what Dean and Cas are today, and, truly, why I believe they want canon Destiel as much as we do.
This is the first season with Dabb’s writers: Davy Perez, Meredith Glynn, Steve Yockey, and of course Bobo all come in with their incredible talents and gave us episode after episode of good content.  “Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets” is probably my favorite, probably the best example of what I’m saying.  An episode where Dean is called out by an enemy directly, told to “roll the dice” on Cas’ life.  And Dean won’t, it’s not even really a hesitation.  And this comes from a character that has known Dean for ten seconds.  I also wrote more in depth about this episode here.  There are also some.....distinctly domestic details we get this season, specifically in “The Future” (written by Berens and Glynn) with the mixtape.  The most tropey of tropes mixtape.  Yeah, I’ll just leave that one here.
And then season 12 ends with Cas’ death, but also with the parallel between Sam and Dean with Jess and Cas.  Sam literally has to drag Dean away from Cas, just like Dean had to drag Sam out of his burning apartment in the pilot.  The episode drives it home in every way that it can: Dean is the one left kneeling by Cas’ body, while Sam goes to find out what is upstairs.  Dean is the one who stares at the sky, finally broken.  This isn’t a random thing, this is Dean’s whole arc, it’s the entirety of the beginning of 13.  Dean’s pain, his anguish, his anger.
Season 13 starts with them burning Cas, with Dean, who has begged God to bring him back, who has split his knuckles punching a door, standing, staring at Cas’ pyre with brokenness on his face.
I mean.....
Anyway, season 13 is where it gets interesting (well, I think all of this is interesting but I’m a writer nerd so).  So Cas comes back from the Empty in “Advanced Thanatology” written by Steve Yockey, and then a wombo combo of “Tombstone” by Davy Perez next (”Brokebacknatural” as the PR said at the time).  Listen.  This is the part that SPN crossed a line that they couldn’t come back from.  With Cas being Dean’s “big win,” the fact that Dean and Cas watch movies together, “I told you, he’s an angry sleeper.  Like a bear.” Talked about it here.
This is where, in my opinion, the network stepped in, but the damage was already done.  They had already established that Cas was Dean’s big win, that Dean’s poor coping was not due to Mary’s disappearance, but solely due to Cas, and that Dean and Cas have more married energy than anyone else.  The network had nixed blatant canon at this point, and they writing room had been pushing the boundaries of what the network would allow. 
After these episodes, we see a marked drop off of DeanCas heavy scenes.  They’re still there, still a part of the fabric of the season, but not as...obvious as it had been in early season 13.
And this continued through season 14, we’re back to scraps of Destiel scenes here and there, but to me it always felt like there was something bubbling under the surface, something distinctly unsaid in the themes of the season, even after the walk back of obvious “Dean and Cas are in love” scenes.
And then we get to season 15, which, y’all know I talk about all the time.  What’s important here is that Bobo and Glynn are both executive producers, calling more of the shots than ever before.  Additionally, it’s important to note that, though they only co write occasionally, Glynn and Berens refer to each other as “work husband” and “work wife.”  Each episode has just turned up the volume, and, not for the first time, but certainly the most obvious, Dean and Cas ARE the season.  Sure, they’re trying to beat God, they’re trying to finally find peace, defeat the final big bad, but really?  This season has been about Dean, and Dean’s relationship to Cas.
And not only do we have obvious and clear Destiel in nearly every episode, but we have episodes like “Last Call” which canonize bi!Dean (wrote about that here).
And, maybe most importantly so far, we have “The Rupture,” the breakup, and “The Trap,” Dean’s confession (both written by Berens).  And here’s the thing.  These episodes feel connected, but also feel like they’re missing something.  Beren’s last episode is 15x18, “The Truth.”  We’ve all spec’ed about what could happen in this episode, and I think *I* know what it’s leading to.  But for it to be leading to that, it means that the network has to have approved what we’ve all been waiting for years for.
Who got this change to happen?  Who got the network to change their minds?  It wasn’t us.  It was them.  I am fully convinced that Dabb and Berens quite literally put their careers on the line for Dean and Cas.  They believe in them, they’ve shown that from the beginning, but the only thing standing in the way was the network, never allowing them to take the final step. 
So, to answer your question: I think the writers want canon DeanCas because they’ve already shown us that they do.  Take a look at their episodes, at Dabb’s, at Beren’s, at Glynn’s, at Perez’s, at Yockey’s.  They’ve been telling us what’s going on with Dean and Cas for years.
Sure, I’m not in their heads, I guess I don’t know for *sure* that this has been their thought process, but if we put it all together, from the marked shift when Dabb fully took over in s12, to the change right after “Tombstone,” to the new shift, the blatantly romantic shift in season 15, what else is there?
I’ve said for a long time that we, the SPN fandom, are beyond lucky to have the writer’s that we do.  They’re all going to go on to have prolific careers and we were lucky to get them at the end of our little show.  I give them a lot of credit for what we have in the show today.
Just remember, they’ve been telling us in all of s15 who Chuck is.  He says he’s the writer, right?  But a writer who doesn’t have control of his characters?  A writer who wants to do the same ending over and over because it “works”?  That doesn’t sound like a writer, it sounds like a network exec.
They’ve been showing us what they want for years, and the way s15 is going?  I think they may have convinced the network to let us have it.

The All the Time in the World series was such a labor of love for me. It wasn't commissioned, it wasn't even something I super talked about with anyone before I started writing it. I just had this one idea for Tony to end up back in the 40's falling in love with Bucky and I honestly thought I'd resolve the whole thing up within fifteen chapters or so and like, A YEAR AND THREE BOOKS LATER the story was finished and I love it so much.
Some of my best scenes ever are trapped inside those fics, some of my best relationship development and some honestly great platonic interaction and character development.
I think because it took me so long to write, you can see my writing actually improve over the course of the books? And to be perfectly honest, I credit that whole endeavor with making me love Steve so much because while I've always loved Stony, it always came in third or fourth to my other ships because I saw Steve as a very one dimensional character? And writing him from pre-serum and friends with Tony, to Captain and struggling with insecurity and anxiety, modern day and meeting Tony again, finding Bucky and falling in love etc-- it really opened my eyes to just how complex a character Steve is and it completely changed how I write him now.
Some of my favorite scenes ever include the night Winteriron goes to the fair and Bucky basically proposes to Tony and then as he leaves the next morning he says "see you real soon, sweet thing" which is GUTTING because we the readers and Tony know that Bucky is heading out on his mission where he falls, and then of course the scene right after with Steve in the bar--
--I love the scene in NTBU where it's both Tony and Steve in DC and Bucky goes "who the hell is Bucky" and Stony is just stunned speechless and so heartbroken--
-- and then in TSS I really love the sequences when we lose Peggy. I worked so hard on her passing/funeral/etc and how to bring the boys in together for it and it's actually the first time all three of them have been together since the last night at the fair back in 45 and I thought it was so great. Also I cried writing every word of those couple chapters.
There's so many scenes I love about the series, I could talk about it for hours but I am SO GLAD you consider it worth a re-read because that's such an amazing compliment for me, like knowing people want to go back again and again and read my stuff makes me so happy.

god the thing abt people not caring abt the characters outside of dating is so trueee lmao and like. it makes me mad bc like if you put in some thought and analyze the characters individually then imo it just makes the actual relationship better and im kinda sad many people refuse to do that. and the example with steves ending is gr8 esp since the backwards character growth Includes how they erased his intense loyalty which includes primarily bucky and sam but then ppl just made it all bucky
Yeah!! Like I think about how bucky got to say goodbye but sam didn't constantly. Like that had to have rubbed him the wrong way especially since they were p much independent for years.
And I do think that thinking of characters as actual people first and then shipping is way better. Because then you're not really thinking of all the different dynamics and that's how you get the same idea over and over again in fic.
Like with sambucky I've seen so many people say "oh sam taking care of bucky and that's how they fall in love". And in my opinion?? That's such a boring take. You have a guy who jumps headfirst into danger and a guy who's a grumpy old man from the past who just wants to relax for one day and that's the ideal situation you can think of??

I am not going to circulate your redefinitions, your new goalposts, your explicit deletion and argumentation against a far larger bulk of openly identified bisexual people, and your raging. I have already addressed these, and they boil down to “You’re literally destructive to the LGBT battle while you think you’re being progressive.”
I am not going to be part in circulation people’s own manufactured dialogues they put between their own ears anymore.
You are not promised platform. You are not promised my inbox. You are not promised any specific performance from LGBT creators within the demographic they are writing the text that would be representative in if you have paid *zilch* attention to their working conditions.
In fact, you literally don’t even get to fucking pretend you’re here about representation while *overtly denying the words, sociopolitical representation commentary, and working conditions of the LGBT creators you’re hot dogging right now*. Half the fucking fight is also behind the scenes GETTING LGBT CREATORS CREATING, even if at times they’re limited. 
Representation isn’t just on screen, diversity in writing crews behind scene is the fight, and if you pretend it isn’t just to gang bang LGBT creators for not performing how you want, without *ANY* fucking human consideration for why things are the way they are? *You, deep down, don’t give a shit about representation, or production team diversity, or LGBT creators -- you give a shit about getting exactly what you want exactly the way you want without even recognizing that may not be universal to LGBT people as proven by my notifs right now -- and largely with the reductionist point of wanting to win against trolls on the internet at which point YOU HAVE LEFT THE REPRESENTATION WHEELHOUSE (x); or if you do truly believe what some rando -- probably a woman, rather than the LGBT male POV -- said, you need to DRAMATICALLY RE-ALIGN AND CONSIDER YOUR POV*
“The whole idea of representation” that you have is close, but still a made up thing. It’s what perfect representation is. It’s not what the battle is. It’s never been what the battle is.
So just because you’ve dreamed up, say, a GA opposed to you, while the GA openly fucking talks about all this shit (right down to “marriage/dark point in the romance/divorce/breakup), on non-fansite major news publications, rather than fangirls that are scared of losing their website traffic in this fucking bog of bitterness, liars, extortionists and tinhats?

Text is text is text. Queer text is queer text no matter how upset you get on if it was *visible* enough for you. That will continue to stay true. It will continue to be true when you make GA monsters in your head that don’t exist anywhere in reality. It will continue to stay true when you want to argue with a clout monkey that doesn’t even believe what they say. It’s going to be true. 
It’s fine to want more visible text. That IS the nature of the fight. The nature of the fight is NOT deleting low visibility text. And i’m going to ask you to PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS FUCKING HOLY, ACTUALLY EDUCATE YOURSELF ON LGBT MEDIA HISTORY AND THE REPRESENTATION BATTLE.
Not just a random link convenient to someone’s article that vague blogs the general history. Actually educate yourself if you’re going to get in this fight because HOLY SHIT the children that have tried have *MISERABLY FUCKED UP* and then quite unfortunately normalized that fucking up, that everybody thought it was the new brand of woke because of herd mind.
If you’ve internalized enough phobia from the abusive manipulations within this fandom that you’ve convinced yourself bisexual people are *SO DAMN INVISIBLE* that nobody gets what’s going on while the GA is all “SHIT MAN THEY GOT A DIVORCE T_T”, that’s a you thing.
I am not your therapist. I am not your mother. I can not *force* you to get in touch with what the GA, or the creatives, or anyone else has said on anything related to this content, because I’ve been blogging it all and here you are, clearly not reading any of it. I can not force you to stop erasing LGBT text you, personally, nonniemcnonface, don’t like the visibility of. BUT I CAN STRONGLY ENCOURAGE IT.
But nobody owes you anything. Not my inbox. Not the platform on my blog. Not *your, specific, preferred, very precise point of view*. When you are a middle aged LGBT cis man raised in the 80s in patriarchal environments, and/or hold a great deal of conversation explicitly with the demographic and its representation in question, and by that I mean not 1, 2, 3, or even just 10 LGBT men within a step of that demographic. Because that’s the story of the character being told. It’s not *your* story. It’s a story you may resonate with depending how close to it you are. But *that* is what representation is: creating a universal platform of diverse, queer stories until it is saturated into the media to such an extent you *will* eventually find someone that ticks all your demographic boxes when you turn on your TV (be that race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or whatever else.) Demanding everyone’s unilateral demands be met when they aren’t even in the intersectional demographic isn’t representation. It’s tokenization. It’s the exact same way we end up with stereotyped gays to try to fit everyone’s “visibility” wants. It’s why there IS such a problem with LGBT male and, most explicitly, bisexual male representation. You are making half of the problem unto yourselves.
Until then, you don’t get to talk over those people. No matter how many anons you send thinking it sounds *gr8* because you haven’t read the entire discussion, you just got *mad* at part of it and didn’t want to introspect. That? That’s a problem.
Let’s say you work at Subway and they say you can only put 6 olives on a footlong without charging extra. Your boss vaguely holds that up but doesn’t micro count your olives so sometimes you give them 7 or 8 because you feel bad, and you want to give as much as you can to the customers. But if corporate notices somehow you’re burning through a shit ton of olives, it doesn��t matter what your intent is. It doesn’t matter if your manager agrees. If corporate comes down and tells you to stop putting down extra olives, you have a choice to completely quit/be fired from making sandwiches for people or to comply. Or, at least, to wait long enough to squeak new extra olives in.
*WelComE tO thE coRporAte chAIN and AduLT reALitY* -- Bobo sitting here piling as many olives on as he can until magically suddenly stopping for a year at a time and then y’all are bitching because he didn’t put the whole assed olive tree on your sandwich. When you get up to the counter, and start throwing a goddamn shitfit, you are now Karen. Don’t be Karen.
And no, Karen demanding that if she can't have as many olives as she wants then nobody should get any olives and to stop putting down olives is not anywhere in touch with functional reality.
And UNTIL you learn to pay attention to what the LGBT cis male raised in the 80s middle aged author on crew says on *this specific topic*, who was writing on sociopolitical LGBT representation issues probably since you were in *diapers*, and the methodology and struggles therein? You don’t really get a say. Once you’re able to sociopolitically contend with what that very author postured about representation *16 years ago* and have an equally well addressed set of points, then you can at least hold debate with his ideas. Until then, this is “WHAT I WANT BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH”

He didn’t fucking like it, but he understood it. He addressed it as a necessary evil that has been formative in our process and progress and expansion in visibility. You don’t have to like it either, but just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean you can’t *understand* why it works like that. Just like “text that isn’t visible enough for you is still text”, “real world issues and methods you don’t like are still real even if you don’t like them.” Bobo got it. Your turn. Cuz he doesn’t have to like his working conditions. But he can work through them the best he can. And addressed this many moons before ever writing his first SPN episode that was the first recorded time a showrunner told them to lean into it being played like lovers. Yeah. That? That was Bobo’s episode. In fact, 99% of the shit y’all uwu about is Bobo’s. Steve. Collette. The mixtape. The breakup. Gosh golly gee it’s almost like he’s fighting his ass off to tell you a story in what incremental methods he’s allowed and you’re all just trying to fuck him for it. Hell even this episode in question, Jeremy’s, Jeremy went out of his way to thank Bobo for all his guidance and help.
We’ve made progress via incrementalization, and just because you can name a few other shows that have entirely different bankrolling, marketing, distributions, demographics, that HAvE gAy shIT doesn’t mean shit. You don’t think every product a store sells comes from the same production line in the same premises with the same materials and the same target audience when they sell a wide brand of merchandise, do you? I promise you Great Value macaroni is managed and distributed differently than LED light bulbs and bicycles. These are not the same products.
The presumptuous, self-serving, personalized and franky manufactured wants and demands cloaked in a representation suit while choosing to do active harm to what progress we have -- intentionally ignorant to the actual representation battle and imagining what it is, and is like, and is about -- literally talking over the long-standing voicebox of an LGBT creator making the content who has been ENGAGED. IN THIS FIGHT. SINCE MOST OF YALL. WERE IN KINDERGARTEN? It’s fucking gross. It’s manipulative. It’s abusive. Maybe you’ve been manipulated into not understanding that, and you really believe what you say, I really don’t fucking know. But I do know you need a HUGE crash course in HOW THIS ALL WORKS and WHAT THE TARGET POINTS AND METHODOLOGICAL TARGETS ARE.

i have literally NEVER KNOWN GRIEF like this. like??? i have been so goddamn inconsolable for the last 24 hours of my life 
i just can’t believe the outcome of that movie. i cannot. believe. that i had to watch my hero die.

i just don’t know how scarlett was okay with this. i understand now why she’s been so anxious and panicked for all of press. it makes sense why she was gripping jeremy like a fucking lifeline after the movie. he let her go once already and he was not about to let her go again amirightladies like, i don’t know how they filmed those scenes. the masochist in me says “emily u would give ur damn soul to be a fly on the wall” but like, they loved. natasha. so much. those were the two cast members who loved natasha more than ANYBODY ELSE at marvel and....god. just. god. i don’t know how they did it. how did they feel? when they saw those pages? when they filmed that? WHEN THEY SAW IT ON THE BIG SCREEN? DID THEY REACH FOR EACH OTHER AND HOLD HANDS AND CRY? 
i will never ever ever forgive the absolute disrespect and injustice that scarlett/natasha have been continually shown throughout the mcu. natasha was the first female superhero that made people stop and go “yeah shit this can work” and she has had so much potential in EVERY FILM SHE HAS BEEN IN AND EVERY TIME THEY SQUANDER IT!!!!! EVERY!!!!!!!!!! TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the avengers didn’t deserve her, the mcu didn’t deserve her, the writers who have taken her on and fucked her over time and time again didn’t deserve her, and knowing that she died???? and they didn’t do more?????? I’M DISGUSTED. i tell you i never thought i’d live to see a day where i’m like BRUCENAT FOR THE WIN but bruce was willing to do whatever he had to to bring her back. he argued with all of them over him snapping and bringing her back when he did it and i just???????? jesus fucking hell can y’all believe this is the world we live in????? 
but, i will say this. i’m so glad that i was not baited for nothing with clintasha. all of the build up was beautiful, the scenes of her crying over him (honestly the characterization she had in this movie was Perfect, it was everything i could have dreamed of and more and i should have known RIGHT FUCKING THERE that it was all too good to be real and trouble was on its way) and them in tokyo and then him coming back from the time travel thing with her running to him and helping him up and them being a team was just everything??? i deserved?????? the literal second i pieced it together where they were going i lost my shit because i knew what was going to happen and the entire scene was just so beautiful and painful and i have never known pain like that but i sleep easier knowing that we went from “love is for children” to the two of them knowing that no matter who died, they’d get the fucking stone because THEY LOVED EACH OTHER MORE THAN ANYONE OR ANYTHING IN LIFE BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE RULES OF THE FUCKING STONE! CLINT LOVED HER. NATASHA LOVED HIM. I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING A KISS THERE FOR A MOMENT BUT HONESTLY, THE FOREHEAD TOUCH SAID IT ALL. THAT SCENE SAID IT ALL. THE WAY SHE LOOKED AT HIM WHEN SHE SAID “LET ME GO. IT’S OKAY” (i’m currently sobbing so hard i can’t see my computer screen yeehaw) AND I SWEAR I THOUGHT I’D HEARD HER SAY I LOVE YOU BUT THE NONVERBALS IN THAT SCENE JUST SCREAMED IT!!!!!! AND THE FIGHT OF THEM WAS AN A1 PARALLEL AND I JUST I JUST COULDN’T HANDLE IT, FUCK THE FARM FAMILY TO HELL AND BACK, THEY DON’T MATTER AT ALL BECAUSE CLINTASHA IS REAL AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE REAL BECAUSE JEREMY RENNER SAID SO “FOREVER”
i’m just in total and complete shock. i have not gone an hour today without crying. i think i was up until 4 am and just kept having horrible nightmares because i can’t believe the world we live in and that i lived through that and i’m just going through the motions right now, i really am. this is MOURNING. 
natasha romanoff was the character that got me into the mcu, that i identified with and saw myself in and rooted for and wanted to see thrive (and got pissed when they continually cut her down) and i think if you’ve been with me since 2014 then you’ve seen just how much i loved natasha throughout the years. she has been a pillar of strength for me when i couldn’t be that for myself. she taught me to be brave and to not take shit and to be strong even when i was scared to death and she has just brought me so much happiness for the last seven years and i cannot thank scarlett enough for this character and loving her and believing in her and doing the most for us even when she’s given shit and is paid in dust and i just???????????????? i��m never going to be over this. ever.
things i need moving forward: firstly, i need a hug from scarlett and jeremy, but mostly scarlett, and then i need my fix-it asap because steve didn’t go back for her #rude and @these-lanterns-burning had a gr8 BW movie pitch where we go back in time and see her origin while simultaneously in the present watching them try to get her back because i just

I have to admit I’m a little confused about what you’re asking, because I don’t... really see a lot of hate like that for Steve and Tony in the comics community, setting aside the bit where there was a fascist version of Steve in Secret Empire. Even back when people were still arguing about comics Civil War, it was pretty much always Tony getting called a fascist. So I have to say that that really doesn’t make sense to me, because I don’t really see any of that among comics Steve and Tony fans, especially the people who ship them -- I mean, why would you hate them? You ship them! 
Generally it seems to me like the comics Steve/Tony fandom is pretty chill and will agree to disagree about comics they like/hate and don’t really hate on either Steve or Tony. So I... don’t really see anything like what you’re describing. (If you’re talking about MCU, I wouldn’t know; I don’t really seek out the MCU flamewars.)
You’re welcome to read comics yourself and see if you like them, of course; I recommend that people start with Captain America: Man Out of Time, which I think makes a pretty good introduction. anyway re: billy hargrove
im so okay w him being dead my dudes. season 3 tried hard to make me care abt him w the sad backstory but i could not give one fuck my man. perish
dont get me wrong his sad backstory is valid. if yr young and tender and good and u love surfing and u love yr mom thats gr8 and if yr dad is an abusive monster who ruins you for life thats horrible and no kid deserves that. but while the show was trying to spin this sad narrative of like oh he couldnt help becoming this way, pls feel sorry fr him in my head it was just like. let me play a sad song fr u on the worlds smallest violin while im mentally replaying all the moments frm the previous season in which eg 1. he had that super weird aggressive tension w max in the car before going full psychopath trying to drive them str8 into the kids on their bikes 2. he was clearly upsetting her by being invasive and controlling and forcefully grabbing her by the fucking wrist while saying threatening shit abt lucas 3. (as max sees him speeding his car twrds where shes indoors w the boys) "it's my brother. he can’t know im here, he’ll kill me. he’ll kill us.” 4. “you disobeyed me. and you know what happens when you disobey me. i break things” *grabs and shoves a fucking middleschooler (?)  into the wall* 5. remember when max had to fucking tranquilize and threaten him w violence herself to get him to stop literally murdering steve (video comp of billy & max interaction in the first season)
imagine my astonishment when i check the stranger things tag & see the weird possessive controlling shit get interpreted & remolded as aww he cares abt his lil sister and wants to protect her so badly.. hes just kinda weird in showing it bc hes so passionate abt it..... same @ yt with “hot/badass moments!!” type compilations and tender sibling edits like. did we watch the same show bruv
i mean thats not just sibling bickering like “oh ykno we fight abt dumb shit but in the end we’re in this together ykno” not when there’s a clear power imbalance where max is not comfortable w him & can’t be “sassy” back without getting threatened (smth she does all the time to the other kids tho), keeping her eyes averted, and with him able to switch instantly into a super aggressive mode (by directly shouting at her, grabbing her physically, or speeding off in a brusque kind of way) like... thats not a protective big brother type behaviour man (steve is literally right there) & idk what to tell you. seems like ppl love to point out he said “max, youre a piece of shit but we’re family now wether we like it or not” but actions speak louder than words man. hes a dick
the ACTOR im cool with btw. this season he got to do some more stuff w his character so that was probably gr8 fr him. also hes hot which is why, im assuming, ppl are so ready to be like aw poor troubled bby let me hold u
the fucking character though can crawl in a hole and die. thanks fr finally doing smth RIGHT at the moment you kicked the bucket it was about god damn fucking time. i only feel bad fr max crying bc she’s probably super conflicted w him being horribly abusive & a big antagonist fr 2 seasons only to then turn & do smth to help twrds the end, snape style. bet it sucks fr her to completely lose someone who she hoped couldve turned out good at some point (but yknow, didn’t) but that entire self-blaming doubt of whether yr allowed to feel shit abt being traumatised after long term abuse bc the abuser on occasion maybe showed there was smth more to him that is just. an entire other rabbit hole im not gonna step into and get my full fucking leg caught in rn
(also quick sidenote now that IT: chapter 2 is rapidly approaching i wonder, do people think the same abt henry bowers?? bc that’s literally perfect fr projecting the exact same type of oh hes not a bad person, hes just ~complicated and troubled type of shit. oh he has a shitty dad. yeah hes still a physically violent bully actively trying to murder kids yall what the fuck. being traumatised doesnt cancel out the fact that hes become a fucking terrifying psychopath bc of it and since so many fucking people go thru abuse and DONT take that out on others. hot take but mb you cant put that blame full on his shit dad. we be out here growing up more mature than our dads all the time wtf)
lbr while that entire death was happening i was like ok cool man just die already. @the duffers why are yall trying to make me care abt this shitstain who like five minutes ago tried to T-bone crash into the car to kill like half the crew. i conceded fr a hot second that like yeah ok he WAS possessed so mb that doesnt count but actually, fuck that, if anything im gonna interpret that shit as a huge fucking metaphor of emotional abuse, whether it was intended as such or not! bc a few episodes before that, the fucking sauna scene hit pretty hard my dudes. i mean, the kids working together to trap him, getting the upperhand on the terrifying powerful and more or less human (rather than outright supernatural) antagonist?? who then turns immediately into a diff person crying, apologising, assuming a broken nonthreatening role to make them doubt abt whether theyre doing the right thing, playing with max’s emotions and drawing her close so she’ll be within reach when he turns that full 180 again and slashes at her while screaming bitch & threatening to gut her i mean?? that emotional manipulation paired w violent outbursts just fucking resonated hard and *smacks lips* tastes like textbook abuse bruh (link to the scene im talking abt. i p much explained what happened but still, to see it is a punch in the gut man)
& then later again in a v similar moment, when hes chasing max, mike and eleven and she tries to appeal to his human side as his lil sister only to get knocked str8 the fuck out with zero hesitation. and the fact that she casually knows all abt wound care (i fully believe her when she says it’s bc of the skateboarding but it still gave fucking pause bc of the obvious association, just like the stunned concern the other characters fr a hot sec showed. god). idk that whole deal just made me think like wow fuck. it really be like that huh.
again the sauna thing hit HARD man if anything that manipulative two faced powerplay is just the most succinct summary of how abuse works. oh it’s not my fault. oh theres a shadow frm like idk where taking control of me. im so sorry abt whatever non specified thing i did to harm you. forgive me and buy into my fake crying while i prepare to turn and hurt you again in a flash bc i dont give a fuck about your wellbeing

hulk looked really small. like really small.
i saw a couple effects/continuity in shot issues. nothing huge.
again nothing important but we had a mention of ronan in a movie ronin was in and man what a common name in this universe, even if clint was never officially called it himself.
“eat a salad” yeah, we get it, he’s fat and it looked silly. “take a bath” would’ve been funnier and more mom-like and... possibly less adr’d in sounding while we’re at it.
the girl power moment should’ve been cool but frankly i’d rather they just had more individual ass kicking moments than one shot where them being together in the midst of a massive battle field made no real sense and meant nothing.
oh yeah, great ‘first openly gay character’ too. like, really?
everyone kind of just showing up was great but also like damn they organized and bamfed across the world fast like how the fuck did they all know.
the steve ending was... i don’t know. i get it. it pulls the heart strings. i do *like it*. but i also feel like it goes a lot against what he’s done, and i don’t get how he can just happily live in an alternate universe knowing what could happen. it also pretty much went against every line of logic they used for the time travel? which is kind of a big problem?
ANYWAY i’m definitely forgetting A LOT but
very good movie very pleasantly surprised with some things i thought weren’t gonna be great when they started happening but ended up being gr8 (like the whole second time travel act). much emotions much watery eyes. may see again.
