As time passes, I come more into myself… the trauma that was put on me and the societal picture of who I should be, of how I should dress, parent, act, believe in is washed and carried away into Mother Earth and I am blessed with her rains of self. They pour onto and into me.

Nature walks with my family, while breathing the Forest deep into my lungs helps to ground me and release the stressors of modern life.

This is me… No hiding so I am not judged and persecuted. Just Boldly me in all aspects. My inner world becomes my outward expression.

I’m in love with all my new clothes from @holy___clothing I am wearing their Brigid Maxi Overdress and Annika Maxi. Can’t wait to share more outfits with you and get more lovely pieces to add to my daily wardrobe.

Here they are, the finished Flower Spirit Dolls! These have been such a fun project, and got me thinking outside the box with my materials. They’re available in two sizes and come in hand-crocheted “soil sleeping bag” necklaces, which tuck into their little faux-terracotta pot homes. These are the first in a whole series of little Spirit Dolls I’ll be releasing over the coming weeks. Keep an eye on my social media for when they are released for sale on the website. There’s nothing more satisfying than creating something from “waste”. I’ve been saving these rolls from the craft chain I use for jewelry and finally found a use for them. With a little extra cardboard, air dry clay and some paint they’ve become little terracotta pots! My next post will reveal what they’re a part of.

A VERY rare occurrence for me these days... I felt ok enough to get out of the house and take a ride in the van to pick up groceries and do a couple errands. I know I’ll pay for it latter... be bed bound the rest of the day and next, but sometimes the “mole lady” needs to come out. Lol

It is the only time I am not in comfy clothes and messy hair...

Grateful for my husband... he does all the driving as it takes way too much out of me and I fall asleep at the wheel.

My business is an extension of me, but I haven’t shed much light on my own health until recently. I was just diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. My quality of life is significantly compromised by debilitating pain, extreme fatigue and unrefreshing sleep. There’s still a lot that’s not known about ME/CFS, because for decades it’s been brushed aside as a state of mental health rather than physical, referred to as hysteria (women are most affected), and has been massively underfunded. It is far more common than illnesses like HIV and MS, but gets a fraction of the research funding. Those afflicted are left in the dark while we stumble for answers. Evidence suggests it starts with a viral infection that presents like a bad cold or flu, then leaves you with lifelong symptoms even after you’ve “recovered”. Many Covid-19 patients experience what’s been dubbed “post-covid”, which presents nearly identical to ME/CFS. Just another sign this is some sort of semi-dormant virus which ails tens of millions of people worldwide and still isn’t being taken seriously by many medical professionals. I hope that Covid helps bring us out of the shadows, but that’ll only happen if it is acknowledged as the same or a very closely related illness.

I am only starting to get answers after 10 years of my symptoms being brushed off, because my husband advocates for me. Women especially don’t get the medical tests and supports they need, but the voice of someone who sees your daily struggles really helps.
