just finished reading "the seven husbands of evelyn hugo" and oh my god. i haven't read anything in a while, finding it hard to focus at the moment but i am so glad i read this.

EDDIE MUNSON X READER

synopsis; y/n and eddie had fallen in love too late & y/n watch the life slip away from the man she loved.

WARNINGS; sadness? nothing much else

"I didn't run this time, right?" Y/N stood back as she watched Dustin hover over Eddie, unsure what to do. Y/N didn't know what to do either, though her body was shaken she was frozen.

Y/N could hear her brother speaking to Eddie, the sound of his voice something she had never heard before. Y/N had been there for all the escapades and heartbreaks Dustin had dealt with yet this one broke her heart the most. Not only had Dustins heart been broken, Y/N's had been too. She knew that she had fallen for Eddie but she believed there would have been time to tell him - she was wrong.

Y/N though the perfect time to tell Eddie that she loved him would be after they saved the world, after they were all heroes. Only Eddie had taken it upon himself to be the hero. Whilst Y/N respected that, she was also angry at Eddie. She was angry that he put them first, angry that he had gotten himself killed. But in all honesty, she was angry she had let him.

Y/N could have stopped him, could have told him she loved him before. Maybe if she had done that Eddie would have thought twice before sacrificing himself.

It wasn't long before it went quiet - as least as quiet as it could be - and Y/N wanted to scream; yet she couldn't. She had to be the big sister and get her brother out of there.

Walking to Dustin, the young woman pulled him away - as hard as it was - and let her eyes rest on Eddie's body for a second. Before leaving with Dustin, Y/N knelt down and closed Eddie's eyelids before placing a kiss on his forehead.

"You're a hero, Eddie Munson. You remember that. You'll always be my hero."
