depression tips™
shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.
moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over.
put on clean, comfortable clothes.
put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.
drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.
clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink.
blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.
make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.
make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.
go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.
call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.
cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.

no no it’s fine I didn’t need my heart anyways
Missing (Conrad Fisher x Y/n)
Summary: Conrad’s rejection to the Deb ball turned out not to be the hardest punch Y/n had to experience this summer, being forced to watch him show up for Belly was much worse
Warnings: swearing, drinking, kissing, sadness, pain, anxiety
Words: 9.8k

(Not my Gif :))
I knew mom was waiting for this moment since I was a little girl, in a way I was excited for it too, especially considering that I was going to be doing it with one of my best friends. Growing up during the summers next door to the Fisher’s and consequently the Conklins was the best thing that could have happened to me. These summers are my whole life, nothing outside them matters, it’s all a pass by, all the count down to summer.
This year I knew would be different, starting with the fact I was going to be a deb, I knew what the Fisher boys’ thought about the whole ordeal but I also knew how Susannah felt about it so I wasn’t worried. I knew I’d have Belly on my side too because she accepted Susannah’s pleas after a little persuasive work from me. It was a little strange to me because Belly is a year younger (16 years old ) than Jere but I also know Susannah knows how to pull some strings, able to get us to do this together.

Ok so I’m a daughter of Athena and I don’t think there’s enough platonic Annabeth content. So, if you’re okay with it, could do you something with a child of Athena x Annabeth and it’s platonic? Maybe something with her going off to college too. Have a wonderful day/night!
Yikes this took a while... and it's kinda short... hope you enjoy anyway!
I totally agree with you tho! Not much out there for platonic PJO anything :(
Annabeth x sister!reader
I imagined reader like 15, but any age works that's not in college
Summary- Y/n doesn't want Annabeth to leave for New Rome.
Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
Oh gods did it hurt. More than you expected to be honest.
Annabeth was by far the person you had been closest with and had been there for you every time you could recall. You of course loved all your siblings, but you and Annabeth were inseparable. Blame it on the fact that Annabeth had been the one to find you in the mortal world, but regardless you two had a special bond.
It was just a few hours short of the time Annabeth had intended to leave, and you hadn't seen her all morning. Your only solace last night was that Annabeth would spend most of the morning with you, spitting memories from the last 5 years, or sitting in the comforting embrace of silence as Annabeth packed the last of her things.
Instead you woke to an empty cabin, every trace of Annabeth's belongings wiped from her bunk and desk. Even the spot at the breakfast bench where she normally sat was barren and cold.
Trudging across the lawn from a painful breakfast you heard a shout from afar. Turning you head, you could see Annabeth frantically waving you down from the strawberry fields. Percy, Jason, and Piper had been only a couple feet away, and you presumed they had been out doing something, keeping Annabeth from breakfast.
Jogging over, Annabeth began to meet you halfway, and when you were close enough, she pulled you inter her arms.
It was one of the good hugs, squeezing tight and a slight rock as you started to tear up.
"Why do you have to go now?" You asked though a teary haze.
"I'm not leaving forever," She replied, "We can visit, and before you know it you're going to be attending New Rome University too, majoring in biology, or law if you're still into that."
Annabeth smoothed you hair and wiped your tears with the edge of her sweatshirt sleeve.
"When I come back in the fall, you and I can go pick out pumpkins, crash at Percy's place, and watch Halloween movies while we carve them. And don't even get me started on our plans for Christmas break."
You smiled lightly, knowing well that Annabeth probably already had an itinerary booked by the minute.
"Distance makes the heart grow fonder, eh?"
You nodded reluctantly and let yourself melt into one last embrace.
"You know you can always IM me, anytime, anywhere, okay? I love you y/n/n." Annabeth whispered in your ear.
"I love you too Bethy Boo Bear."
You heard her growl lightly as you shrieked and rushed for cover near the volleyball courts.
Everything was changing, but the love you shared never would.

Four x fem!reader
Summary: AU where Four is in the military :) Skips around a couple times but it will be marked
Word Count- 1.2k
You opened the mailbox and reached in to grab the mail. However, your hand stopped short as you felt no paper, but instead the cold metal bottom of the box. Sighing, and mildly disappointed, you returned to the apartment and pulled your cardigan closer to your body.
No news was good news, right? But you wanted to hear from him, so, so bad. It was only 3 months into a 9 month tour and you were struggling. You knew he wasn't able to send mail often, but you always hoped Four would find a moment in his day to write back to the many letters you had sent his way.
There was no way to be angry at him, because it wasn't his fault, but it still tore into your heart every time, not knowing how he was doing.
You poured yourself a cup of coffee and sat down on the couch, twisting the promise ring he had given you. A promise of his love. A promise he would try his best to come home. A promise that he was thinking of you.
4 months later
My dearest Y/n, There are only 4 months left on my tour before I can come home. Maybe once I get back to you, we can go house shopping? I know you were looking to move out soon and if that is still the case I can't wait to find a place with you. Every moment of every day I spend waiting for you to be in my arms again. Fortunately, I still have the cross necklace you gave me before I left. It sits in my left chest pocket every day, closest to my heart. My love knows no bounds, and it stretches around the universe touching every star, moon, and sun to bring back to you. With love, T.E.
The letter was from months ago, tear stained and crumpled at the edges from how hard you had gripped it. Nothing had come since, every empty mail box crushing your heart slightly more than the one before.
The days carried on, sluggish and dragging, without any light to illuminate the right path.
Of course you had a life outside of your boyfriend, but was it a particularly enjoyable one? No. Not at all.
Your dog Matthew, named solely because Four found it hilarious when dogs had people names, climbed onto the couch and rested his head on your thigh. He exhaled loudly and yawned before closing his eyes and falling asleep almost instantly.
"I know buddy. I know."
2 months later
You bit down on your already abused fingernails as you waited at an intersection on your way to the airport. Letting out a watery breath, you turned into the parking lot and struggled to find a space.
Pulling in and putting the car in park, you made quick work of touching up the concealer that had streaked down you face, the evidence of a battle you had lost to tears on the way here.
Resting you forehead on the steering wheel, you took many deep breaths calming your nerves. He would be waiting for you. He promised.
Sandals slapping the polished floor of the airport, you were guided to a private section marked by many signs. You knew you were close by the many families gathered by the exit, praying to see their loved ones on the other side of the door.
Looking back down at yourself, you cursed quietly at the sweat stains on your dress. Nerves had wracked your body all morning, and now making themselves known on your favorite sundress.
Looking around, you had found a couple people you knew. There was Zeke, Shauna's husband, and Marlene, Uriah's girlfriend. Shauna and Uriah were friends of Four's who all went to bootcamp together, and were on the same tour now. There were even the ones to give him the nickname, which had stuck so well even his family called him it.
Making your way over to Zeke first, you gave him a massive hug to make up for lost time. You two had struck up painfully dry small talk to avoid the elephant in the room. As funny and boisterous as Zeke often was, the humorless side of him that you saw now was something that you understood with you whole heart.
The gasping and laughing of others causing you to look up, expecting the worst, but praying for the best.
Rows after rows of soldiers later, and he had yet to appear. Tears pooled in your eyes, but your anxiety was futile, there was nothing you could do but wait. Wait as you watched unfamiliar faces all get what you had been dreaming for.
Shortly after your pity party, the line of soldiers was wearing thin, only a few stragglers popping out every now and then, and the crowed hand thinned to a few people like you who were still waiting.
But it was Shauna who had came out first, shockingly in a wheel chair. She looked so different, but the same bright smile was on her face and everything about the way she moved and the warm aura she gave off was the same. Zeke all but ran to her and knelt in front of her, face in his hands and had their very stereotypical melodramatic heartwarming moment.
Next was Uriah, who had come out hands in the air screaming "Hallelujah baby!" He and Marlene had met halfway and shared a passionate, desperate kiss.
And then came your Four. Everything that had existed around you melted into a swirl of grey. Your hand held ever so tight on your mouth and your steps growing quicker with each pace.
You slammed into his chest and clutched the back of his uniform in your fists. Your sobs were no longer silent and your lips were letting out a constant stream of 'I love you's 'you're here's and 'you made it's.
Every heartache you felt in the last 9 months was now insignificant, and every last one paled into comparison on the overwhelmingly full feeling your heart had now.
Four's hand cradled the back of your head, and his lips were pressed to the crown of your head and while he said nothing, you felt everything.
Swaying gently you pulled apart to get a good look at his face. Not too much had changed, he had the same strong facial structure, tanned skin, and hooked nose.
But then there were the small flecks of light blue in his left eye, and the couple of freckled that had adorned his nose. The things you could only see if he let you close enough.
"Oh god, y/n" He sniffled, and although there were no tears, his eyes were red and the look in his eyes was one of pure elation, relief, and love.
Pulling you back into his chest, you inhaled the woodsy vanilla scent that hand long ago worn out of the hoodies you stole from his dresser.
He whispered so quiet that if his lips hadn't been pressed to you ear, you may not have heard it at all.
"I'm going to marry you one day. I don't have a ring, or anything fancy to give to you right now, but if you let me, I'll bring you every star, sun, and moon."

no but why doesn’t this past decade have any “great” YA book series? where’s the harry potter, the percy jackson, the hunger games of the 2020s? it makes me a little sad that you just don’t see books being talked about online at that kind of near-universal level anymore. i seriously think we need to go back to the over-the-top fantasy dystopian type stuff of the early 2000s. we need pure indulgence again. we need those cliche personality-quiz type of stories where readers can say stuff like “if i was in this universe, i’d be in House Sparklypoop!” we need dragons and quests and gods and wizards and the power of friendship and hope…

A New Soldier *Part 3*
Part 1 Part 2
DISCLAIMER (It has some semi-kind-maybe-not really- important info so please read)- the script I was using to write this was taken off the internet half way through me writing this so I apologize to the inaccuracy in dialogue and timelines. I'm just going based off memory so this is where things get a little sketchy.... I hope you still enjoy :) Also, momma nat is coming soon so don't worry, I know she hasn't has like any part in this yet. Sorry again that this took wayyyyy too long to get out.... Anyways this is a reminder that requests are open!!!
"They're unstable. He's erratic." A scientist pokes at y/n as she sits next to her father. He speaks to Alexander Pierce who has entered the room.
"Winter Soldier, mission report." he barks out. The man doesn't answer as he stares at a crack in the concrete wall behind the HYDRA agents.
"Glitch, mission report, now." y/n doesn't respond either, not knowing how to process what happened on the bridge. Her dad knew those guys, or rather those guys knew her dad. What did they call him? It started with a B... She cursed herself for not remembering.
"The man on the bridge," the Winter Soldier starts, "Who was he?"
His voice was gentle. It was not the same man who had just injured 19 civilians and was out on a murder mission.
Alexander shifts uncomfortably on his feet and readjusts his stance. "You met him earlier this week on another assignment."
"I knew him"
Pierce looks slightly exasperated when he takes a seat in front of Bucky. Y/n could see the thick layer of sweat that formed on his forehead.
"Your work has been a gift to mankind. You shaped the century, and I need you to do it one more time. Society is at a tipping point between order and chaos. We're gonna give it a push. But, if you don't do your part, I can't do mine, and HYDRA can't give the world the freedom it deserves," Alexander looks y/n in the eyes before continuing, "This goes for you as well. You've done very well so far. But you are still lacking the skills that keep you from being as good as your father. Perhaps some parts of you are a little too human..." He trails off before looking at man beside her again.
"But I knew him" Y/n had never seen her father push Alexander, or any other superior, this much before. She knew there must be something special about this blue-eyed hunk. However she also knew that nothing good ever came from remembering.
Unlike her father, she didn't have anything before HYDRA. The things she remembered kept her in fear. She was never wiped because they never wanted her to be wiped. They never wanted her to forget.
Her father was kept obedient by forgetting, and she was kept obedient by her memories.
Alexander sighed deeply before getting up and turning to walk out.
"Wipe him. Throw her back in her cell. Or you may have your little play time. She was not a good girl today, was she?"
A guard roughly grabbed her by the arm to drag her into the hall. Before they shut the metal doors she heard her fathers protests muffled by the mouth guard. She could see his chest rise and fall as he took wild breaths.
As the HYDRA agent walked her down the hall, she shuffled her feet making him pull her arm harder.
"Come on you bitch, if you keep this up I'm gonna tell the other guys to just kill you since you clearly can't complete a simple fucking mission."
Y/n signed knowing there was nothing she could do to make this end. Her father, the one person who tried to look out for her, was being tortured just down the hall and she had done nothing. A hot bubble of anger was building in her chest.
It was directed at HYDRA for putting them through this and not giving her any shot at a childhood. It was directed at Alexander Pierce who was playing a double agent. But mostly, it was directed at herself for not doing anything. She felt hopeless.
She wanted to know what HYDRA had planned and she wanted to know why her father knew those people and she wanted to know who her mother was and she wanted to know now because the feeling in her chest kept growing and it had an infinite amount of hatred to feed on.
She sat down on the stiff mattress in her cell that she didn't remember entering. She, for the first time since her infant years, cried. She cried for the life that she didn't get to live and she cried for the life she was forced to live.
*2 weeks later*
Y/n mindlessly pulled the gloves over her fingers and grabbed a mask from the rack. A numbness washed over her in waves as she crept out the door. Her father had been wiped again which meant it was going to be another couple days or maybe even weeks until he spoke to her as more than a comrade.
This period of silence also meant that she had to prep for missions alone.
She scowled as she had to pull her gloves back off so she could braid her own hair. Wrapping the tie around the end of the braid, she placed her gloves back on and followed her assigned guard to the hanger.
Side by side they entered the jet and headed toward their destination. Since they had failed to eliminate Steve Rogers the first time, he had gotten into HYDRA information and revealed Alexander Pierce.
Their job was to stop Steve from stopping the helicarrier launch.
The soldier had been tasked with the personal assassination of Rogers while Glitch was only to stop the other 2 he had taken with them. She wasn't technically assigned to kill them, but HYDRA usually preferred methods of disposal that guaranteed that they wouldn't need to be dealt with a second time.
HYDRA got them to the first helicarrier with ease, predicting the plan of their enemies. Soon enough the Falcon was flying overhead with Captain in his arms.
As soon as they landed the Winter Soldier wasted no time tackling Rogers off the aircraft and jumping down to the next platform below.
Y/n leapt out from behind a cargo box and kicked the Falcon in the middle of his chest. He flew back a few feet before he thought to use his wings to suspend himself in the air. In an attempt to fight back, he pulled out two guns.
The fiery wind bit at y/n's back while she hid behind a metal piece of machinery. She could hear the clanking of the bullets against the metallic surface; the sound echoing around her. Eventually came the final click of the empty barrel.
The Falcon tried to cease the opportunity of y/n's lack of attention and flew off, presumably to help Captain. However, y/n managed to latch onto part of his suit and threw the man across the helicarrier, tearing off one of the wings in the process. With one final kick to the stomach, Sam Wilson was flung over the rail and fell to the ground.
The smell of tar and something burning was thick in the air. It burned y/n's nostrils as she took a deep breath to steady her heart rate.
She thought about helping the Soldier, but when she looked over the railing, the pair was no where in sight. Her mission didn't involve Captain anyways.
She set her feet in a new destination. She was on her way to find Agent Romanoff.
If you didn't read the disclaimer at the top... go do that please lol. I'm gonna start part 4 so maybe there isn't as long of a wait this time...

A New Soldier *Part 2*
Italics and small font is a memory or flashback
Part 1
So as Y/N got older, she only saw Bucky off and on. HYDRA didn't want to risk loosing his prime, so they were adamant about only letting her see him when necessary.
HYDRA didn't want to freeze the girl for the first few years of her life for a couple reasons. First, they had no idea how it would impact her brain development, and second, the earlier they got through the terrible twos and the threenager years, the better.
Y/N was given a small amount toys to play with, but she was usually content playing with her small stack of hand-me-down pieces of plastic. However it was better than just letting the kid run around with too much energy to burn in the few hours she was awake. In the few toys she owned, were a set of Barbie dolls.
You can bet the security guards got a real good laugh out of watching their most ruthless assassin play Barbies with his daughter.
Although his visits were few and far between, he was always gentle with her. He never had any confirmation that the child was his, however he simply treated her as his own.
Bucky sat back against the grainy wall, his hair matted on his forehead, wisps falling into his vision. The bags under his eyes said it all. The child in his arms was screaming so much he doubted she would have a voice tomorrow when she woke up. He had tried every technique in the book. Rocking, pacifiers, and changing her diaper.
However he was determined to get her to sleep. A soft melody rumbled in his chest as he hummed the chorus to a song that was familiar, but he couldn't place.
The cries of the child died down as she listened to the quiet tune and felt the vibrations though her fathers shirt.
As far as HYDRA officials were concerned, the child had not resisted the serum. She complied easily, and though she was too young for missions, in a few years time her and her father would be an unstoppable duo.
Her training was intense and brutal. Not only physically, but mentally. HYDRA had no need for a soldier that could only take orders while under the command of her alter ego, Glitch.
It was an usual name, but one that fit. In and out so fast you wouldn't even notice her. It was around her 13th birthday when they trusted her to go on missions. They had sent her on a simple recall, but when she had gotten back within the hour, with every last detail they needed, Y/N proved herself valuable.
Missions between the father daughter duo became more common. The only hiccup in the plan was that they didn't expect Bucky to become protective of Y/N, or take such a liking to her. When Bucky went into the Winter Soldier mode, she was merely another comrade or partner, but once he came around to his senses, she was the first thing on his mind.
Bucky's fingers weaved though Y/N's hair right before a mission. He pulled the hair tie off his wrist and around the braid he just made. Y/N gave him a silent thank you and a brief hug and stood shoulder to shoulder ready to comply.
This kind of efficiency was needed when it came time to eliminate Steve Rogers.
He was an unpredictable target. HYDRA was confident the Winter Soldier could take him alone, however Captain America was rarely seen without a companion or two at his side. And with this being a high risk mission, they could not chance loosing time or resources on an elimination. They needed this to go right the first time.
HYDRA sent out the only people they could think fit for the job. Bucky Barnes, their resident Super Soldier, and Y/N, a 15 year old carbon copy of her father.
The duo split up in the beginning, but planed an rendezvous point further down the highway. Y/N watched from her post as the plan deviated from its original course. This shouldn't be a problem though, they had gone though the whole alphabet of backup plans.
The trio ran from the car as the red head shoots off the Winter Soldier's goggles.
"She's mine" He says through the comms. "I'll take care of her. Go find him."
Y/N nods although he can't see her and sprints to the Captain's location. Before she can get to him, he changes directions and her tennis shoes slip on the gravel in an attempt to keep up. He bounds over a wrecked car and joins the fight with the Widow and the Winter Soldier.
They end up switching roles and the Soldier and Steve wrestle for control, swapping weapons a couple times in the process.
Leaving Y/N with Natasha, they stare at each other before the latter throws a device at Y/N giving the ginger a split second to run, Y/N hot on her tail.
Natasha ushers civilians away from the area as they run though the city scape. Y/N managed to shoot Natasha in the shoulder and narrowly miss her head a few times. They some how ended up running in a circle, and around one of the corners they lost each other in the rubble and ash.
Not feeling accomplished, Y/N headed back to Bucky. Steve and him were still battling the moment she arrived, however that quickly changed when the fabric keeping the identity of the Winter Soldier a mystery was flung from his face.
"Bucky?"
Y/N stood confused, not knowing what a 'bucky' was.
"Who the hell is Bucky?"
The soldier prepped his gun to fire, however the driver from the highway knocked him off his feet before he was given a chance to aim.
Gravel collects in his hair and scratches near his eyebrow started to collect blood, but that didn't stop him from grabbing another weapon from his belt and getting ready to attack.
However a man with authority yelling "Drop the shield, Cap! On your knees! Get on your knees! Now! Get down! Get down!" did.
Moments prior, Natasha had used the grenade launcher Y/N had thrown at her against the two. While the smoke was dissipating, the two soldiers vanished into an unreachable oblivion.
Yeah... Its been a while. I had midterms this week if that's a valid excuse for this being so late. Part 3 (maybe the last... I don't know anymore) coming soon (hopefully)

A New Soldier
(So I know this doesn’t completely follow the timeline, but from what I found off of Marvel wiki, it could potentially have happened. However I did change some of the details about the Winter Soldier program)
The sound of the heavy metal doors clamping shut made the soldier flinch back slightly against the concrete wall. The rough, chipped surface dug harshly into his back. The sounds of a wailing baby echoed through the hall.
The soldier looked down to the dirty floor and furrowed his eyebrows. In the past, he was only unfrozen for one purpose. To complete missions outside the compound. The soldier rarely encountered infants on his journeys, so when the agent brought the screaming child into his cell, his confusion and curiosity grew. The agent, whose face was unfamiliar to Bucky, approached him and placed the pink swaddle into his arms with a surprisingly gentle touch.
The crying slowly became quite whimpers in the dark cell as the super soldier rocked the child on instinct. The agent threw a diaper bag onto the floor next to the man and gave instructions in Russian. There was a beginner parenting book in the bag and a few changes of clothes as well as a couple other necessities. Someone would come by once a week for a health check and to give them more supplies.
When the agent left and a new reality settled in, the chill in the air was more apparent to Bucky. Hoping to provide some warmth, he tightened the blanket around the sleeping child and pulled her further into his chest.
HYDRA leaders smiled as their plan fell perfectly into place.  Bucky had accepted the child with little to no resistance and the baby girl seemed to be in good health so far. They watched their flickering screens as an old wooden crib was dragged into the corner. The attempt at painting it white was visible... and so were the places they missed. None the less, Bucky placed the sleeping baby into the blanket filled crib.
HYDRA has done many bad things than cannot be justified, and many of their practices can be improved on. However they did not make it as far as they have by lacking intelligence. Under the Winter Soldier program, any person that has gone under the serum has not turned out the way HYDRA intended, and therefore was considered a failure. HYDRA did not take failure lightly and each one of the participants were used as target practice for the Red Room program.
This slight connection between the programs had sparked the interest of one of the higher ups. If the other Winter Soldiers had failed, the key to success might be in stronger genes. God knows HYDRA had picked some of the most physically fit for trials.
They needed someone they could groom from day one. Someone who did not have to adapt to a new environment, because they had been raised in it. With this epiphany, they started the hunt for suitable agents.
The father was obvious. They would use the Winter Soldier to create this new super soldier. No matter how hard HYDRA tried to ignore the obvious, it was getting harder to control Bucky. He was still their perfect agent, but memory wipes become more frequent and he was less likely to do something without questioning it. So as their hunt was coming to a close, they had found a Widow almost at her graduation. Natasha Romanoff. One of the greatest Widows brought up through the Red Room.
Instead of a complete wipe of her reproductive organs, they saved a couple eggs and unknowingly to the mother and father, created a child of some of the strongest people within the entire organization.
Hey! Anyone want a part 2 (or 3)??
