In my journey of silence, I am learning to care for myself more often. This is how I choose to nurture myself. I am making time for recovery and checking in with myself.
What prompted me to go into silence left me in a negative headspace at first, but I’m learning again to do something valuable with my solitude and moving on from the fixation I previously had on those negative thought patterns.
Rejuvenation is so important. I’m feeling more focused and energized.

I find that it’s better for me when I speak to let my intentions known, not for a response. When you speak for a response, it’s like you’re subconsciously giving away your energy in order to receive energy. This mindset will leave you open to disrupting your own peace when that expectation isn’t met. You might feel a lack of closure which could spiral into negative thinking.
Speaking to let your intentions be known leaves you with no expectations. If the conversation ends where you left it, you’ll be ok with it. It’s neutral, it’s present, resentment doesn’t exist here.

Slow down. Enjoy your meal, focus on folding your laundry, don't rush while driving home, why are you in such a hurry? Where are you going, really? Enjoy your time in every moment. Truly live in it... Because you might get to the end of your life and realize you were racing towards nothing.

I’m working on silence.
Why practice silence? You don’t always have to add to the conversation. Sometimes it’s better to practice solitude and distance because people project their own negativity onto you and your experiences.
Being silent can be powerful if you do it from a place of self-reflection and growth. I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflection again lately and it’s better this way. Complaining is a draining and negative thing for people around you, at least for me.
I want to turn my emotions into something beautiful or metaphorical or open to interpretation. I want to create something authentic to myself because it is an outlet for expressing yourself so that your genuine emotions flow unfiltered instead of bottling them up. You can be both silent and expressive at the same time.
I feel like the universe is presenting me with so many signs that I should be practicing silence right now. It’s better for my well-being and growth to listen and observe. This is a time for me to be learning and reflecting on myself so that I can sort through my thoughts and gain clarity. I’m trying to clear my headspace and stay level-headed.

Saying “they’re not really my vibe” instead of gossiping or shit talking people, bc sometimes people are just different and don’t click. And that’s ok.
