Torn Apart- Final Chapter
Tumblr media
So this is the final chapter of my little series. It's a little ambiguous, but focuses on the reader's freedom to do as they like, which is pretty much the main thing Luffy cares about. Remember, you can commission alternative endings.
Warnings: Conflicted emotions, talk of leaving family, lots of crying, missing people, conflict with Zoro.
WC: 9.6k
The next morning you woke to a gentle knock on your door. It was Sanji bringing you breakfast, as he’s done every day for the last week.
“Mon Ange, I’m here with your breakfast!”
You sat up with a yawn, blearily opening your eyes. You blinked at him as he set up your breakfast at the small table.
“Mornin, Sanji” you murmured. Law’s proposition swirled back into your half-asleep thoughts and you sighed deeply. You could tell Sanji was looking at you curiously but with also a little bit of worry.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked, pouring some coffee and juice. Law finally allowed you to have your caffeine fix when he was certain it wouldn’t cause harm to you, which was 4 days after the surgery. You shook your head honestly.
“No, not really.”
Sanji’s curled eyebrows drew together slightly, creasing the smooth skin.
“Bad dreams?”
“No, just restless” you said. It was a half-truth. You were actually restless and part of the issue was that you just felt like you’ve rested too long, but the other part was because of Law’s proposition. He brought you the steaming cup of coffee and helped you sit up with a hand between your shoulder blades. You couldn’t help but notice how warm he was, and how you didn’t feel any callouses scraping over your shirt. He was so different compared to Law and Zoro. You knew you shouldn’t compare people, but you just couldn’t help it.
“Thanks” you murmured as you settled upright.
“It’s only natural,” he said with a smile. He handed you the coffee and fluffed the pillows supporting your back. He seemed to notice that you were distracted, but didn’t push the topic so soon after you waking up. You leaned back into the cushions and took a deep breath, smelling the rich scent of coffee, prepared just the way you liked. You stared into space as you took a few sips, letting your body wake up. Your attachment sites were stinging, but less than before when you were learning to eat. You had enough control now to use both hands to tip the large, half-filled mug to your lips. You still occasionally clacked it harshly against your lips and teeth, but it was better than not having arms.
“Law says that I can have Chopper help give me a bath today” you said quietly. Sanji looked at you from fussing over the place setting with an inquisitive look.
“Yeah? You must feel relieved. I still think you are just as lovely as any other day,” he said flirtatiously. You smiled a little at him.
“Always the flirt” you teased. He smiled back, hands clasped in front of his chest.
“Especially for you, mon Ange,” he said with a dramatic bow. You giggled, and he looked up at you with awe. You stood, and he held a hand out to help you up. You placed your cold, metal one in his, and he kissed it lightly before taking his other arm and placing it in the middle of your back. He didn’t really need to help you up, but you savored how warm his hand was in yours. You could also feel how hot the coffee mug was, clasped in your free hand. You were starting to feel more heat-like sensations, but you knew you couldn’t get burned. It was really rather strange.
Once you were standing, he pulled out your chair like a gentleman and then sat across from you. He kept you company while you ate, eating his own breakfast with you. It almost felt… domestic. You loved it. He began chatting about various topics, but he slowly brought up the idea of you coming back to the ship. You swallowed hard.
“Sanji… I want to ask you something,” your tone was serious and he looked at you with surprise before becoming serious as well.
“Anything, my dear.”
You took a deep breath and let it out, looking down at your half-finished plate.
“What if I were to live somewhere else for a while, just while I was healing? Do you think that Luffy would allow that? Do you think I’d have to learn how to live with Zoro again? I haven’t seen him at all… and I don’t know how to go back to the crew with him there,” you said in a hushed voice. Sanji froze after your first question. You kept your eyes on his hands, resting on the table. He finally raised them and folded them under his chin.
“Would you want to live somewhere else while you were healing?” he asked. You shrugged, and winced at the action that pulled at your surgery scars.
“Maybe. I love you guys and I’ll miss you so much if I do, but Luffy can be chaotic. I’m scared about getting into a situation that I can’t handle because I’m not healed enough yet. I’m not strong like you, Luffy, and Zoro. I don’t heal as fast as you guys,” you answered honestly. After you finished speaking, you finally looked into Saji’s visible eye. He had a soft expression on his face, but it was unreadable. He sighed and sat back in his chair.
“Luffy will tell you to do what you need to do. He’ll tell you to do what you want, because you’re free. If you want to live somewhere else, then do it. I’m assuming this is about Law?” he asked. You flinched at how accurate he was.
“He invited me to stay here while I heal, but also said I could join the crew,” you said quietly. Sanji only nodded.
“You should do what you feel is right. You’re not tied down to any of us. We love you and will miss you should you choose to stay here. I think you should talk to the crew about it. If you’re ready, talk to Zoro, and see what’s going on. He’s an idiot marimo, but he’s still a crewmember. Take your bath on the Sunny, and spend some time there. That might make your decision easier.”
You nodded at his advice. He smiled at you.
“But in the meantime, get your energy up by eating the rest of your breakfast” he said kindly. You smiled at him as well.
“Thank you, Sanji” you said. He smiled at you happily.
“I’ll do anything to see you smile like that at me,” he said softly. It was different from his usual over-the-top flirting, and was sincere. Your breath hitched and you felt your face warm as you met his gaze shyly. You didn’t answer, feeling too flustered. You ate the rest of your breakfast, much more at ease now that you had a plan for your day.
Law came to your room soon after you finished eating. Sanji was stacking plates and was back to his old self, pining after you the same as he does Robin and Nami. Law didn’t even react to the cook, simply choosing to interrupt the blond.
“Do you want to try walking there or do you want me to teleport us to the Sunny's deck from here? I’ll have to teleport us from our deck since I don’t want you climbing anything yet” Law asked. You thought briefly.
“I haven’t really had a chance to see your ship. I want to walk and see it!,” you say excitedly. Law only replies with a grunt, ignoring Sanji’s immediate lecture on how that was no way to treat someone of your beauty. The door opens and he walks out, looking at you expectantly. You take a few steps, excited to finally get out of your room. The hallway is mainly plated with silvery metal, and bright lights shine down. Being a submarine, you expected it to be somewhat dark and wet, but this was a pleasant surprise.
“It’s brighter than I thought” you noticed. Law side-eyed you. He acted completely different when he was in front of Sanji.
“The lights are ones often used in winter islands, and they provide artificial sunlight basically. It provides vitamin D and it also simulates the time if it were to be a bright, spring day. No short days and long nights” he said with a tinge of pride. You blinked up at the lights, before looking immediately away, their shape singed into your retinas for a brief second. He lead you through the bright halls, and you greeted the crew you ran into with a smile and a wave. The hallways were narrow, but not horribly so. You went up some stairs, and the exertion was catching up with you. Sanji was behind you, and you knew he was staring at your ass but you also knew he had his hands hovering behind you to catch you in case you stumbled. At the top of the stairs, you paused, breathing heavily. Law’s clinical gaze swept over your body, and placed two fingers on your neck to feel your pulse. Your stomach swooped. His brows furrowed.
“Take a little break and get your heartrate down. Are you hurting?” he asked as he pushed up the sleeves of your short-sleeve shirt to look at your surgery sites. They were stinging in time with your heart rate, and you nodded slightly.
“Just a little. It throbs with a sting in time with my heart rate” you answer honestly. Law checked your other surgery site, and ended up brushing Sanji out of the way. He side-stepped with an indignant huff that brought an amused smile to your lips.
“They’re fine, but rest them once you get to the Sunny, okay? Let Chopper-ya do most, if not all, the work.”
You nodded, breathing easier now. It was another minute before Law allowed you to walk again, and you spent it wavering between frustration at your weakened body and daydreaming about the bath on the Sunny. You heard the two men speak a little, but tuned them out. Law finally started walking again, and Sanji brought you back to reality with a hand on your arm. You smiled a little to yourself at the realization you could feel his touch. You followed after Law, and it was a short walk to the deck of the submarine. You squinted a little against the sunlight, but it wasn’t much of a difference between the light in the halls and outdoors.
“Ready?” Law asked. You nodded, nervous and excited to be back on your ship.
“Find your own way up, Black Leg-ya” Law said quickly. Sanji rolled his eyes, but leapt onto the ship easily. Law took the opportunity to pull you closer to him by the waist, and held out his hand, summoning his power. Butterflies erupted in your stomach and your face felt a little hot.
“Room. Shambles.”
You had closed your eyes, figuring that it would be less vertigo-inducing to not see the transportation. Your eyes opened as soon as you felt grass beneath your feet, and you looked up excitedly. Law let you go, and you ran up to your crew as they yelled your name. You hugged everyone, even if your attachment sites ached. Some tears were shed by Frankie, Usopp and Brook when you showed them how much you’ve improved. You didn’t know exactly how Brook could shed a tear, but you didn’t think too much about it. As the crew settled down, you finally could see that the entire crew was there. Zoro was sitting quietly to the side, looking at the waves. Your heart dropped, and your adrenaline spiked. The apple you had grabbed to hand to Luffy erupted in your strong fist, and he laughed in surprise at the trick before seeing your expression. Everyone soon grew quiet, unsure whether to intervene. You began to panic at the anxious attention, and Zoro looked up with the lack of chatter, but met your gaze instead. He froze at whatever expression you had. Your breathing came faster and faster, your heart pounding. Voices were muffled and you thought you saw a blue dome expanding over your vision before your vision blurred. You thought you were fainting, but your surroundings changed and snapped back into focus. You were in the changing area outside the Sunny’s bath area. You were sitting on a bench, and Law was crouched in front of you.
“Hey… listen to my voice. Can you hear me?” his deep voice washed over you, and your gaze snapped to him. You were still tense, and you swore you could smell blood and smoke. Law continued to speak.
“Good. Listen. I’m going to walk you through a breathing exercise. We need to get your heart rate and blood pressure down.”
Sudden searing, white hot pain made you jolt with a scream, and your arms felt useless. You didn’t have arms. Cold hands grabbed your face, and you blinked away tears. When did you start crying?
“You're safe. It hurts because of your heart rate, okay? You’re okay. You’re going to be okay. I know it hurts” he said softly. You looked into his eyes, and could finally breathe enough to start hyperventilating.
“Good. I’m going to count, and you’re going to breathe, okay? Breathe in for me- 1…2…3… and breathe out- 1…2…3… Again. I know it hurts but it’ll get better. Follow me. Breathe in- 1…2…3… and out 1…2…3… Good. One more time” he walked you through the breathing efficiently, his voice calm and soft, yet with an air of authority you couldn’t disobey. His thumb traced your eyebrows, and though it was odd at first, it brought a feeling of calm and comfort. You finally could breathe normally, and you huffed out a wet laugh.
“I’m such an idiot” you murmur. Law shakes his head with a sigh.
“You’re not. Did you know he would be here?” he asked softly. You shook your head.
“I should’ve. This is where he lives. I just haven’t seen him since the night he… you know.”
Law traces your eyebrows one more time before smoothing your hair down, then trailed his fingers to your shoulders. He didn’t say anything.
“What’s with the eyebrows thing?” you asked. He looked at you with a soft smile.
“It’s something that soothed me as a kid, and it even works on my crew. I don’t know why it does though” he said with a slight blush. You smiled a little. You heard a little knock on the door. Your body tensed, thinking back to when Zoro used to knock on your doorframe like that
“It’s Chopper!” the small reindeer called. You slumped in relief, and Law went to open the door. Chopper bounded up to you, giving you a hug with his arms thrown around your neck. You nuzzled his fur a little out of habit.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t think Zoro would scare you like that” he babbled. You pressed a small kiss to his cheek.
“It’s okay. I should’ve known he’d be here” you murmured. Chopper pulled back, eyes watery.
“Do you want your bath now?” he asked. You nodded, feeling grimy and exhausted.
“Yes, please” you whispered. Law took this as his cue to leave, clicking the door shut behind him. You looked back at Chopper, taking in his adorable look of concentration as he ran gentle hooves over your surgery sites. You flinched a little at the sensitivity, and he pulled back immediately, looking at you with wide, concerned eyes.
“Sorry! Did that hurt?”
You shook your head, a small smile on your face.
“No, it’s just really sensitive,” you answered honestly. Chopper breathed a sigh of relief, and you smelled candy on his breath. You grinned at him.
“Have you been eating too much candy again?” you asked teasingly. The poor little reindeer looked at you in shock before sheepishly smiling at you.
“It’s just my daily limit. I’m a doctor after all” he answered with a giggle. You laughed with him.
“Let’s get me ready for the bath. Do you mind going to fill the tub while I try to get undressed?”
Chopper nodded, jumping off the bench and ran into the bath area to start filling the large tub with hot water. You sighed, and looked down at your shirt. Law had given you special shirts so you wouldn’t have to pull them over your head. There was a zipper down the front, much like the boiler suits that his crew wore. Earlier, you had changed from your pajama version of the shirts into a normal one while Sanji had cleaned up from breakfast in your ensuite bathroom. You were also clothed in loose fitting pants with an elastic waist. It was easy to pull down the pants off your hips, letting them pool to the ground, and you unzipped your shirt. Your underwear was the trickiest part, and often you had to have Nami or Robin help you change into new ones. You pulled your current ones down and stepped out of the pile of clothes. Your attachment sites were throbbing from all the movement of your arms after your panic attack, and there was no way you’d be able to unhook your bra. You heaved a sigh of frustration.
“Need any help?” Chopper peeked out from the bathing area. You looked at him, a defeated look on your face.
“Just my bra” you answered. He nodded and morphed into his human-like form so he had thumbs, and walked behind you. He struggled for a second, but then managed to unhook it with a sound of triumph. You giggled at his sound of triumph and stood, leading the way into the bathing area. You took in the familiar surroundings. A large, tiled bath sat near the window, more the size of a hot tub than a bath. There was a low shower head and a small stool to one side, so you could wash before soaking. You stood before the small stool, looking down at it cautiously, and you looked up at Chopper’s tall form.
“I don’t think I can sit down that far without falling,” you said. Chopper hummed in thought, and then put his hands on your waist, as if to lift you.
“Just let me lower you down then” he said. You looked back at him, and he nodded once with an air of confidence. You slowly began to sit, and your legs suddenly gave out, but Chopper’s hands kept you from falling. He sat you down on the stool.
“There. Easy!”
You looked cautiously at the showerhead.
“And you're absolutely sure I can get these arms wet?” You asked, looking down at your intricate metal arms.
“Absolutely. I had Franky test it more than he said he needed to, so I’m absolutely sure you can get them wet. You can go for a swim with them with no issue too!” Chopper assured you. You looked up at him, and watched as he sat on a spare stool behind you. He reached over to remove the showerhead from its place on the wall and turned on the water.
“How hot do you usually like your showers?” He sprayed the water on your foot, and you hummed at the warm water.
“A little warmer” you answered. Chopper adjusted the hot water and you let out a pleasured sigh as it reached the perfect temperature. He brought the shower head towards him and let the hot water run over your back, and you moaned at how good it felt. Chopper giggled.
“I bet you feel really dirty after not having a shower for so long.”
“I do. This feels amazing.”
You let Chopper wash your back, front, and legs before you took care of your intimate areas yourself while he turned around for your privacy. Once you finished, you let him wash your hair. His hands were big in this form, but he was still gentle with them as he scrubbed your scalp and gently untangled your hair. You sighed in pleasure at the relaxing feeling of him washing your hair, and at the warm water cascading down your back again as he rinsed the shampoo and conditioner out. He turned off the water and helped lift you up so you were standing. He chatted mindlessly about what had been happening on the ship while you were recovering, and it tugged painfully at your heart. He helped keep you balanced as you stepped in the tub, but noticed your expression.
“What’s wrong? Are you in pain?” he asked, his eyes scanning your arms. You shook your head with a wobbly smile, and sat in the water. Chopper returned to his usual small form and looked up at you. He looked so different without his hat, sitting on the side of the tub.
“I miss you guys, but it’s so hard to come back. I don’t know if I can stay,” you whispered. Chopper’s eyes immediately filled with tears.
“If you miss us, then come back. We love you! You’re part of our family!”
You shook your head, chest clenching in guilt at his plea.
“It’s complicated, Chopper.”
He looked at you, tears dripping down his face.
“Why? It doesn’t have to be!” his voice rose a little with his emotions. Your throat burned as you swallowed down your own tears.
“I love you guys so much, but I need to heal. I need to heal from Zoro and the accident. I can’t look at him without remembering what happened. I can’t be in a situation that I can’t handle because of Luffy’s recklessness. I don’t want to- can’t be- a burden. I’m still your family, Chopper. I’ll still see you. I just need to talk to the rest of the crew about it. I need to heal, and… maybe leave the Strawhats so I can start a new chapter of my life,” you spoke with a wavering voice, tears springing to your eyes as you tried to explain. Chopper looked distraught.
“But… you can heal here! I can take good care of you, and Franky will be here too so he can fix your arms, and with Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Robin, Usopp, and Brook, we’ll take care of you! Please stay? Maybe you can be friends with Zoro again!” he started sobbing as he spoke, and your wall holding back tears crumbled. Hot streaks rolled down your face, and you put your hands on Chopper’s cheeks.
“I know. I know you’d take care of me, that you all would. I want to come back, but I just can’t bring myself to do it when Zoro was so… you know. And honestly I have something going on with Sanji, which is a terrible idea. I want to see Luffy grow and become the King of the Pirates, but I don’t feel like I can belong to this crew the same way anymore. I love you guys. So much…” you trailed off as your sob took your breath away. You continued after a few seconds, “I need this for myself, because it’s my life. I don’t want to become strangers, but I can’t come back here. I can’t bring myself to, not when the Heart Pirates have accepted me and made me feel like one of them so quickly-” you broke off with another sob, and dragged Chopper’s shaking form to your own shuddering chest.
“Please forgive me, but I can’t come back. Not yet. I’ll still see you guys, and call and write though!” you promised, throat burning as you murmured into Chopper’s ear. He pulled back to look up at you with big, watery eyes and sniffed.
“I think… I understand, but I’m still sad. I don’t want you to leave, because I’ll miss you. I know for you to be happier in the long run, you need to leave, but…” he hiccupped and sobbed before continuing, “I just love you lots!” His little face nestled into your neck, and his breath tickled over your neck as he cried.
“I’ll call often, and write and send pictures, okay? The Heart Pirates is a better place for me during this time in my life, and Law is a kind person” you rambled a little. Little hooves wrapped around your neck and you felt his tears drip onto your shoulder. You held him against your chest, feeling his back shudder as he cried quietly. You held him until you both stopped crying, lingering sniffles echoing through the bath, and wet cheeks pressed against each other.
A soft knock at the door to the bath startled you both, but you heard Nami’s voice calling to you.
“Can I come in?” She sounded like she was crying, and your heart clenched in guilt.
“Y-yeah”
The door opened, and she stood with tears in her eyes, looking at you pleadingly.
“I heard everything,” she admitted. You let your body sink in defeat, and you looked down at the water guiltily.
“I’m sorry” you whispered. Swirling emotions choked your throat. Nami shook her head with a wobbly smile on her face.
“I get it. We’ll miss you, and you’ll always be a part of this crew, but… we’ll be heartbroken to see you go, even if it’s what you need to do for now” she answered in a wavering voice. She grabbed your towel and held it out.
“Here. You guys have been here for a while. Sanji made lunch” she said. You stood, and looked at Chopper. He looked back at you with sad eyes before realizing your silent ask for help. He transformed into his human-like form, and held your waist to keep you balanced as you stepped out of the tub. You walked towards Nami, who wrapped the towel around you. Once you were covered, she hugged you tightly.
“You need to tell the rest of the crew, and talk to Zoro. I think he’s finally come to his senses,” she whispered. You nodded against her shoulder. With two helpers, getting dressed was much easier, and you exited the changing area quickly. Law was leaning against the wall casually, looking up from a textbook he had borrowed from the library.
“Did the water hurt your surgery sites at all?” he asked casually. You shook your head, and he grunted in approval.
“Good. It shouldn’t have but I wanted to make sure,” he answered. You smiled a little at his rough exterior that hid his soft, caring side. He held his hand out to activate his powers, a blue glowing dome enveloping all of you.
“Ready to go down?” he asked. You took a deep breath, eyes closed to calm yourself. You almost nodded before your eyes flashed open in worry.
“Is he down there?” you asked. Nami and Law traded a look, but they both nodded.
“He is, but you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to, okay?” Nami said, rubbing her hand up and down your back soothingly. You nodded once, and took another deep breath to calm yourself.
“Okay.”
Law looked at you for one final confirmation, and with your nod, shifted his hand to teleport all of you down to the deck. You blinked and squinted in the bright sunlight, almost flinching at Luffy and Usopp’s screeching as they argued playfully with each other about something. Luffy’s voice called out your name, and you felt the vibrations on the deck of someone running towards you. You finally regained your vision right as he skidded to a stop in front of you, wrapping his arms with extreme care around your middle. His tongue was poking out slightly with concentration at controlling his monstrous strength on your recovering body. You could only laugh at him, and you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, holding him tightly to you. He let out a squawk when your arms accidentally tightened too much around him, and you loosened your grip a little.
“Hey Luffy,” you said, smiling. He grinned at you, and it filled you with warmth that made your heart clench painfully. Your smile wobbled. He looked at you as his smile faded a little.
“Oi, why are ya crying?” he asked with a giggle. You glanced at Nami, who bit her lip to try to stop her own tears. The rest of the crew, except the swordsman, had gathered around you, and you looked at the rest of them, meeting their eyes before looking back at Luffy.
“I… I think I might go… temporarily at least.”
You could feel the way everybody’s heart dropped at your declaration, even though Sanji, Chopper, and Nami all knew before. Luffy withdrew his arms from around you and stepped back to look at you properly.
“Go where?” he asked gently. You clenched your new hands into fists, and bit your bottom lip. You could feel tears forming, but didn’t want to let them fall.
“With Tra-o” you said simply. Luffy glanced at Law, who was standing away from the conversation, looking at the sea.
“Tra-o!” Luffy called. Law looked back, for once not looking pissed off at your captain, and walked towards the group. You looked back at your crewmates, all fighting back tears. Robin’s beautiful blue eyes were wet, but her small smile said that she understood. Sanji was lighting a cigarette, a tear sliding down his cheek. Usopp and Franky both looked shocked and devastated, and it hurt to meet their eyes. You could hardly tell what Brook was thinking, but from his body language, he seemed devastated as well. You heard Law stop beside you.
“Mugiwara-ya” he answered. Luffy stared at him, a strange aura of menacing, protectiveness, and resignation emanating from him.
“Did you offer?”
Law nodded.
“I offered for them to join my crew to heal fully, and left it up to them whether they wanted to join permanently or go back to you.”
Luffy nodded once, arms crossed over his chest. He stood still a moment, before sighing, and looking at you with a grin.
“You’re free to do what you want. You always are. You’ll always be part of our crew, and will be welcome back anytime, for any reason. You’re family, but you’re free.”
He stepped forward and put one hand on the back of your neck, and lightly bonked his forehead to yours. You suddenly remembered him doing the same action before, with the whisper “This is how we promise now, okay? You and me. No hands or arms necessary.” Your chin wobbled at the action, and you nodded.
“I love you guys in a way I can’t put into words. I can’t tell the future, so maybe someday I’ll be back-” you choked off the end of your sentence with a sob, and let your arms hold Luffy close to you. The rest of the crew surged forward in a hug, everyone careful about your arms. Tears and snot dripped, and wails from almost everyone echoed on the ship. It took you a few seconds, but you realized that the wriggling form next to you was Law, who had gotten caught up in the hug unexpectedly. You laughed wetly at his scowl and his demands to be let go.
“I’ll call and write and send pictures, okay? I just need to do this for myself. I love you all though-” A sob broke off your sentence again, and a fresh round of tears appeared on everybody’s faces. It lasted like that for a few more minutes, and Law had finally given up on having tears and snot wiped on his clothes from your crew.
A deep, uncomfortable cough broke you out of your haze, and the crew parted to reveal a defeated-looking Zoro. He sat on the grass, slouched over and looked at the group guiltily. You swallowed hard, looking at him. Franky grabbed your hand in assurance, and you glanced up at him gratefully.
“I’m… I’m sorry” he said. His steely gaze seemed cracked from guilt and despair, and he met your eyes steadily. Your grip tightened around Franky’s hand, and you were glad it was his, because your grip may have broken bones. You swallowed hard.
“For what?” You asked quietly. He looked surprised, and glanced at the rest of the crew. They filtered off to the other side of the deck, giving you all space, but still watching closely. Law took the moment to escape and shed his now-dirty coat, but watched your interaction with Zoro intensely. Franky stayed by your side, holding your hand. Zoro took a few steps forward, and it took all you had not to back away.
“For everything. For not listening to you when you said we should run, for being weak enough to be unconscious when you needed me, for…” he trailed off, shutting his eyes and running a hand through his hair, as if the next words were poison on his tongue, but he looked back into your eyes and continued with an unwavering voice, “for abusing you when you needed me the most. For leaving you alone when you were going through the hardest time in your life. I’m so sorry. I’m glad that Luffy, the Cook, and Franky stopped me. I keep wanting to give you excuses, like I was also hurting, that I felt weak and angry at myself and I took that out on you, but honestly, I don’t have an excuse. I was upset, traumatized, but I should’ve worked through that with you, together. I’m a better man because of you, and I tossed you aside,” he stopped talking, finally looking down at the ground. You watched him closely. Emotions swirled in your heart and mind. You were angry that he was apologizing, and that he did what he did in the first place. You felt guilty that you didn’t see he was suffering, even though you had every right to not feel guilty. You felt relieved that he hadn’t changed for the worse forever, and also sad that he was even capable of the actions. You shook your head and sighed. You were shaking, and you gripped Franky’s hand a little harder. He looked down at you, making sure you were alright. You didn’t look back at him, instead focused on replying to Zoro.
“I can’t lie and say that I’m not leaving because of you. Mostly, I am. I don’t think I can be around you without sacrificing my happiness, which is the last thing anybody here wants. I don’t-” Your answer was cut off by Zoro’s interruption.
“Shhh. You don’t have to forgive me, but if you do, let me know. Please.”
Your anger flared white-hot at the shushing and interruption. You let go of Franky’s hand, and took a step forward, fists balled so tightly your surgery sites throbbed.
“You don’t get to shush me. You don’t get to interrupt me, and you don’t ever get to tell me what to do, especially when it comes to me forgiving you!  You still have a long way to go, Roronoa Zoro. I am free to do whatever I want. I’m leaving this crew to go to the Heart Pirates, and I will miss everyone except you. I’m not something to be won, and I’m not a goal to reach. Now, please, if you wouldn’t mind, can I have just one lunch with the rest of the crew?” angry tears spilled down your cheeks, making you more pissed off. You saw hurt in Zoro’s eyes, a depth of aching and hurt that reflected your own that one fateful night. He looked down at the ground, crossing his arms over his chest. You were breathing heavily, and guilt clanged with sharpened edges around your heart, even though you knew you had every right to say those words. You looked down at the ground as well, using your shoulders to wipe away your tears. From the edges of your vision, you saw his boots turn as he walked away. You turned back to Franky, looking up at him, eyes full of regret and questioning.
“Franky…” you whispered. He only held his arms out and you ran into his body, desperate to feel safe again. He held you to his chest tightly. Your body was shaking, and your breathing was erratic, but with his comforting presence, your breathing exercises began to come to you naturally. It took a few minutes, but your breathing calmed and your shaking sputtered to nothing.
“There ya go, sis. Good job. You did so well talking to him. You did everything right. I promise,” he soothed you gently, quietly. You were glad for his rumbling voice that pushed aside your fears and hesitation. You finally pulled back enough to look up at him.
“...was I too hard on him?”
Franky looked at you softly, and smoothed your hair.
“Unfortunately, that’s not for me to decide. If it were though, I’d say that you weren’t. He’ll be upset for a while, yes, but that’s because of his own mistake. He’ll grow from it slowly,” he said gently. You let out a deep sigh.
“Why did I have to be the lesson?” you mumble softly. Franky sighed as well.
“People say that bad things happen for a reason, that it’s for you to get stronger or learn something. Me though… I think bad things just happen. I think they happen and it’s up to you to decide what to do. You can fall into the bad, or you can rise above it. You’ve risen above it,” he said. You finally pulled back, holding both of his hands in yours. You give him a wobbly smile.
“Only because of you guys though.”
Franky shakes his head.
“Well, we helped ya, sis, but you’re the one who fought. We just gave you support.”
You can’t help but laugh a little at his words.
“...thank you” you whisper. He smiles broadly at you, then looks over to the picnic blanket set up on the lawn.
“C’mon. Let’s getcha fed, okay?”
You nod, and hold his hand as he leads you to the blanket, sitting down. Nami, Sanji, Robin, Brook, and Usopp join you, and you look around for your captain. He’s standing on the Sunny’s lionhead, looking out towards the sea. A jolt of guilt washes through you. What was he going through? Zoro is his first mate and best friend, but he loves everyone on his crew. Having a fallout on his crew must be tough. You sigh, and look at Sanji.
“How’s Luffy doing with all of… this?” you wave your hand uselessly at yourself and the general direction Zoro had taken off, towards the Crows Nest. Sanji hands you a plate and looks at you, surprised.
“Luffy… is leaving it up to the two of you. He loves you both dearly, but understands how serious this is. He understands that Zoro messed up and hurt you, but also knows that it’s his burden to deal with,” Sanji puffed on his cigarette, loading another plate with amazing food and handing it to Nami. Nami nodded at his words.
“Sanji-kun is right. Luffy understands,” she said carefully. You nod, and look back towards the masthead but don’t see your captain anymore. Your hands suddenly feel lighter as the plate is snatched out of your metal grip and Luffy’s cheerful laughter rings above you.
“Gotcha!” he crows loudly beside you. You jump a little and look at him in shock, clearly seeing the moment Sanji’s foot connected with the captain, sending him sprawling back. Your plate was delivered to your hands again, not a single piece out of place. You couldn’t help but laugh at the usual antics of the crew, silencing Sanji’s yells at the rubber boy, who sat sheepishly on the grass. Nami, Robin, and Usopp joined in your laughter, the others following quickly. You heard everyone laughing except… Chopper. You look around for him, and finally catch his little form crawling down from the Crows Nest. Your smile dimmed from a grin to one that was softer as you connected the dots in your mind. Chopper went to check on the swordsman, and probably brought him some food as well. Your heart ached at the thought, but you were glad that he would still be treated normally by the rest of the crew.
You began to eat, but at the first bite of the heavenly food, tears pooled in your eyes. It tasted like home. Luffy was the first to notice you crying, and immediately began yelling at Sanji for cooking you bad food. Sanji began wailing and apologizing to you, creating a fuss that was only stopped when Nami whacked them both upside the head with a merciless fist.
“Both of you! Stop it!” she barked. Both Luffy and Sanji turned to her, pouting for two very different reasons.
“You’d be crying too if it was your last lunch with everyone for the foreseeable future, okay? Now both of you shut up and eat!” She sat back down with an air of finality, and the two men looked at each other and then looked at you, understanding on their faces.
“So… your food tastes good?” Luffy asked. You laughed and nodded.
“Amazing, as always.”
Sanji looked to be immensely relieved, and Luffy turned to the cook with a bright grin.
“My bad!” he exclaimed before inhaling an entire cut of meat. Sanji loaded his plate with another portion as an acceptance of his apology, and you smiled at the interaction, your lip wobbling a little. Someone shifted on your other side, and you turned to look. Robin smiled back at you, a cup of steaming tea in her hands. It smelled flowery, like lavender and roses.
“You can still stay, you know,” she said quietly. You bit your lip and looked down at your food, tears finally falling down your cheeks. You shook your head.
“I… don’t think I can. Not right now,” you said, tears thickening your voice. She put a hand on your shoulder, and that spoke volumes.
“I understand, and we’ll miss you, but we want your happiness and safety over anything. Tra-o is a great man, and you’ll find who you’re growing to be with him. But, you’ll always have a home here. You’re our family,” she said softly. The rest of the crew was quiet, having heard her words. You looked at each of them fully. Robin gave you a smile, and tightened her hand on your shoulder. Franky gave you a grin, somehow managed to do his signature ‘Super’ pose while sitting, clashing his forearms together above his head. Usopp gave you a thumbs up with a grin and a confident chuckle, and Brook whipped out a violin and began playing for you. Chopper had joined and heard everything, giving you a confident smile that made his eyes sparkle. Nami’s eyes were watering, but she looked at you with a kind smile. Sanji lit his cigarette, and looked at you softly, a smile on his lips. Luffy grinned at you, and wrapped his arm around you a few times, holding you tightly to his side. His other hand took off his hat and plopped it on your head, tilted over your eyes to hide your falling tears. You let your wet face fall against Luffy’s neck, sniffling.
“I’ll miss Zoro. I know I said I wouldn’t, but I will. I love and will miss all of you. I promise,” You pulled back enough to tap your forehead gently against his, your special way of promising. His bright laughter was all you could hear for a second, before he spoke.
“I know. We all do. We’ll miss you too, but for now… let’s party!” He announced. You couldn’t help but smile. Brook began playing an upbeat song, and Nami dragged you up to dance with Chopper and Robin. Franky joined in, and Sanji disappeared into the kitchen, bringing back drinks for everyone.
All of you partied until sunset, when Sanji brought out dinner. Law had mostly stayed out of the way, but was dragged into festivities by Luffy, who said he was being a wimp for not enjoying the celebration of the new addition to his crew. Their argument devolved into something that led to the Heart Pirate crew joining the festivities on the Sunny, much to Law’s chagrin about them being exposed to “Straw Hat idiocy”. Luffy declared he “won”, which led into them bickering, until Luffy laughed freely and called Law and his crew “honorary Straw Hats”, which both crews cheered at, leaving Law to pout and brood in a corner with some beer. You giggled and approached your new captain, your surgery sites aching from drinking and eating so much. You sat next to him, and he spared you a glance before muttering under his breath.
“Honorary Straw Hats my ass. Then the Straw Hats should all be honorary Heart Pirates.”
You couldn't help but snicker at his annoyance.
“With your desire to keep the Straw Hat’s off your ship, it might be better not to go there” you say with a smirk. Law rolls his eyes.
“Why did I ever have to meet him,” he groaned, gesturing to Luffy. You looked at your captain- previous captain?- and smiled at him, watching as he was somehow managing to shovel food in his mouth while also dancing around the fire, ignoring Sanji yelling at him that it would make him sick. You giggled at the sight.
“That means you're blessed by fate, I guess,” you answer with a chuckle. Law looked at you, face unreadable. He grunted finally, and glanced down at your arms.
“You’ve been moving around a lot today, and eating and drinking more. How are your arms?”
You looked down at the surgery sites with a grimace.
“They don’t feel great, that’s for sure. They’re throbbing and stinging,” you answer honestly. Law’s brows knit together briefly, and he exhaled sharply.
“Okay. It’s to be expected but just give me a second,” he said as he stood. A blue dome appeared, expanding quickly, and Law disappeared with a flick of his hand. He appeared a few moments later, and the blue dome disappeared. He sat next to you, shifting through the first aid kit he brought back with him.
“This is your arm first aid kit. I made it for you with the help of Chopper and Franky. Hmmm… where did I put it?”
Your breath caught with gratefulness, and your eyes flicked between Law’s face and the box a few times before he pulled something out of it. He looked at you briefly before doing a double take, annoyed concern on his face.
“What the hell is that look? Why do you have the same look as Bepo? Stop being cute!”
You leaned your head on his shoulder, trying to give him a hug even though your arms were in too much pain. He grunted and tried to gently push you off, but you pushed against his hand, keeping yourself glued to his shoulder. He huffed a sigh of annoyance.
“Get off me. I need to look at the attachment sites. And here, take these.”
He held two pills in his fingers, and you recognized them as regular pain medicine that reduced inflammation. You sat up properly and held open your mouth, and Law dropped them onto your waiting tongue and held up your glass immediately to help you take a sip. It was a familiar routine by this point, when he would feed you medicine when you couldn’t lift your arms yet. You took a sip of your drink and swallowed the pills easily, and he put your drink down between you. He plucked another package out of the box and you looked at it curiously. He answered your silent question.
“It’s a sort of wipe that will ease the stinging. At least I designed the solution the cloth was soaked in to do that, but we’ll see if it works,” he said factually. He said it so casually that it took you a second to register his words, but by the time you did, he was already wiping the tiny piece of cloth over your skin. You yelped and shut your eyes tightly, waiting for something to happen.
“What the hell are you doing? It’s not going to hurt you” Law said with an amused lilt to his voice. You opened one eye cautiously, staring down at your surgery site. The stinging was slowly starting to ebb, and he finished wiping down the circumference of your arm.
“You can’t just experiment on me!” you whined. Law snorted and then smirked.
“I didn’t. I used the same solution when my tattoos were freshly done and I got into a fight. It stung like a bitch. I thought it would help you as well,” he explained. You narrowed your eyes at him suspiciously.
“You’re lucky it worked,” you pouted. Law raised a single brow.
“Do you seriously think Chopper-ya would allow me to put something in your first aid kit that he hadn’t tried himself?”
You paused.
“No, because I didn’t have time to think” you shot back. Law snorted and shook his head.
“Let me do the other arm,” he stood and moved to the other side, quickly swiping the cloth over your other attachment site. You blinked down at your arm. The stinging was subsiding from both arms. Not completely, but it was definitely better than before. You looked up at him, smiling.
“Thanks, captain” you said cheekily. Law blushed slightly and hid his face under the brim of his hat.
“...you’re welcome,” he murmured.
You leaned back against the side of the boat and looked up at the stars.
“How often do you get to see the stars on your ship?”
Law grunted quietly.
“It depends on the weather, but I surface and let the crew out as much as I can,” he says quietly. You nodded.
“Thank you… for offering,” you mumble. You felt Law’s golden eyes on you, and after a moment, you finally met his gaze. You couldn’t decipher the emotion that was shining brightly in his eyes.
“You’re free to do as you wish. You’re free to follow your heart, and that can take you to surprising places. I’m almost jealous that you’re free to do that, because I don’t feel like I can trust my heart to take me to good places,” he said softly. You blinked in surprise, but said nothing. Law sighed, then stood. He offered you a hand as he stood above you to help you up. The orange from the fire was gorgeous on his black hair, and it highlighted the definition of his cheekbones and the bridge of his nose. You let a small smile curl your lips.
“I’m scared, but I trust you,” you said after a moment. Law smirked at you. Your hand rose to grasp his, but you both knew the casual gesture was a promise. A promise of trust in each other and in the future to bring good to you. You stood, and he pushed you gently in the direction of the party.
“Go. I’ll be here. Come back if you hurt,” he murmured. You cast a smile over your shoulder and went to join the party, letting various people (and animals) from both crews hug you and fold you into the celebration.

2 Months Later:
You let the salty breeze trail incandescent fingers along your skin and through your hair, and you breathed in the scent of fresh air. It had been about a week since the sub had been able to surface, and you were desperate for the breeze. Footsteps thumped on the deck behind you, approaching your form.
“How are your arms?” he asked boredly. You snorted.
“Do you really have to ask multiple times a day, every day?” You turned to meet him, his golden eyes matching his double earrings, glinting in the sun. He frowned.
“I’m a doctor,” he said as if that were an answer. You giggled. He pouted.
“Captain, you know that's not an answer. You can just admit that you have a crush on me~” you teased slyly. Law’s cheeks darken with a blush that he tried to hide under the brim of his hat.
“Shut up and get back to work. Bepo is over there shedding again, and I want the deck clean,” he ordered. You laughed.
“Yes sir!” you saluted him mockingly and picked up the broom again. You let your mind wander over the last few months, recalling how you’ve healed. Physically, you would still get twinges and pulls when you moved the wrong way or when you worked too hard. Some days when there were storms, your surgery sites ached, and some days the phantom limb pain hurt like a bitch. Through it all though was Law. He was a steady rock that gave you answers and honesty when you needed them the most, and comfort that was only for your eyes and ears. Your PTSD from the accident hadn’t gotten much better, but Law told you that it could take even years for you to fully recover, if you do at all. He held you through your panic attacks, opening his door to you without question in the middle of the night when you were shaking and crying. Sometimes, Bepo was there too and the three of you would cuddle together, finding solace in sleep. When someone raised their voice even slightly at you, you still reacted. You started shaking and stuttering, fighting back tears, even as they lowered their voice and talked to you soothingly to provide a distraction for your adrenaline-driven mind.
Law was basically a casual boyfriend. He refused to commit to anything deeper than cuddles, kisses, and soft words until he knew that he wasn’t a rebound or someone that you bonded with through trauma. You respected his decision, and was happy with the current relationship the two of you had. He was always busy anyways, and you were busy trying to heal. You kept sweeping the deck, flinching when your arm twinged the wrong way. You looked down at your metal arms with a frown. You didn’t wear your sleeves today, deciding to allow the sun on your scars. You could feel echoes of touch, like if you were wearing a pair of thin gloves on your hands. The crew had learned the upkeep of your arms quickly, and were pros at fixing anything that went wrong with them. You paused and wiped the sweat off your cheek with your shoulder. Your eyes landed on the resident polar bear peering through binoculars, focused on one particular spot.
“Hey Bepo, whatcha lookin at?”
“Sorry, I just saw something in the distance. I think it looks familiar… sorry I can’t see it clearly yet,” he said, bowing as he apologized. You frowned a little, then took the binoculars from him. Your eyes focused on the dot on the horizon, and a wide smile cracked your face.
“Go tell the captain- the Strawhats are going to visit!”
Bepo ran off and you giggled a little with excitement. You suddenly saw a small figure shoot off of the ship, and you laughed with delight. You heard one of your favorite voices whooping with joy. You jumped in place and waved your arms, guiding Luffy to the right spot of the ship.
“Luffy! I’ve miss- OOF!” your greeting was cut off as he slammed into you, sending the both of you tumbling to the deck. The wind was knocked out of you, but Luffy laughed loudly.
“I’ve missed you! Have you been having good food? Do you have adventures? Have you eaten good meat on the adventures?!” Luffy questioned you rapid-fire, and once you got your breath back you pushed him off you.
“One thing at a time, Luffy. Law is going to yell at you for boarding his ship without permission,” you warned with a giggle. Luffy grinned with a chuckle.
“Yep, but I get to see you. Everyone else is coming on the ship, and then we can have lunch and dinner together, okay?” he said excitedly. You nod with a laugh.
“Of course!”
“Oh are you coming back yet?” he asked with wide eyes. A jolt of fear and guilt went through you, clenching your heart.
“N-no. I’m not healed enough yet,” you murmur. Luffy nods, then is suddenly gone, a piece of Bepo’s fur floating down where he sat.
“MUGIWARA-YA!” you heard Law yell. You looked over, and he was holding Luffy over the railing of the ship by his shirt. Luffy only laughed.
“Hey, Tra-o! Let’s have lunch and dinner all together, yeah?” Law snarled and was about to drop Luffy into the ocean but you called out.
“I’m not leaving yet, I just miss them!”
Law looked at you with what you knew to be a pout, but to anyone else looked like a glower. He tossed Luffy back onto the deck, who sprawled next to you easily.
“So… Tra-o, huh?” he said in a whisper. You blink at him, shocked that he actually picked up on the relationship between you and the surgeon.
“Not yet, but maybe,” you whisper back. Luffy frowns a little.
“Hm. Well eventually I hope you’ll come back when you’re ready. We can even have Tra-o on our crew if you want to stay together. I’m still the captain though,” he said firmly. You snorted and then giggled.
“You’re going to be King of the Pirates, Luffy. Of course you’ll still be the captain.”
Luffy grinned and wrapped a hand around the back of your neck, then lowered his face so his forehead bonked against yours. It hurt a little, but you wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I’ve missed you."

Why am I so slow at updating?
Wonderful question that nobody asked for the answer to lmao but here's a little about me:
I'm a cosplayer who makes A LOT of my own costumes, cook a lot because of my dietary restrictions, and I'm also working on my own novel. I've worked on the final chapter of Torn Apart and it should be updating soon. I've improved my writing even since beginning the first chapter of it, and I hope to continue to use this platform to practice even more.

Beg for me
If you know me IRL, no you don't.
This was heavily inspired by me playing around with the Jealous Law AI chat thing (10/10 great conversation)
In my opinion, this is unrealistic because this could VERY easily turn angsty, but I didn't because I'm writing so much angst in my other fic (Torn Apart).
Anyways, enjoy this one shot!

“L-Law… please?”
He had worn you down to the last reserves of your patience- your need for his touch and your pride were warring in your head, but you could only beg for him. You were blindfolded, laying on the bed in your new lingerie. You had the flimsy meshy material embroidered with his Jolly Roger right over your nipples and right over your throbbing clit, and gold rings went from your sternum to right above your tiny thongs, with criss crossing black silky straps accentuating your body. Your mesh bralette was two triangles barely covering your breasts, the Jolly Roger scraping over your nipples, making them sensitive with every heaving breath.
“Awww, already begging? Maybe I should just play with you instead of giving you the surprise,” he drawled. You turned your head in the direction of where his voice came from, standing at the side of the bed. You whined, brain whirling. So far, every time you had begged for him to show you the surprise, he had pushed your patience even further. You had one last strategy to play.
“I just want you… Law. Please? I’m begging you,” you spoke softly, desire lacing your voice. You felt him crawl onto the bed, finally coming to a stop as he hovered above your body, caging you in. You whined softly, reaching a hand out blindly. You wished you could see his face to bring some comfort to your desperation. You felt his breath on your lips, and your hand finally found his warm skin, and you felt his heartbeat under your fingers. Your fingers curled gently over his neck, letting your hand slide up to tangle in his hair.
“Well… if you’re so desperate for me, then it seems like we can forget all about the surprise, yeah?” he asked teasingly. You whined. You were desperately curious about this “surprise”. After mentioning it all day, he gave you two hints- it would bring some spice into the bedroom, and would make you very satisfied. You had no clue as to what it could be. A vibrator? A dildo? A vibrating attachment for his tongue piercing? A cock ring? Your imagination had been running wild all day, so you decided to surprise him with your new lingerie to spice things up even more.
“It.. can be later. I just want you,” you whispered. He chuckled darkly, and brushed his lips softly against yours, before sliding off your body. You whined, nipples peaking again from the cold as his body heat suddenly disappeared.
“Law… I can’t wait much longer. I’m soaked,” you begged. He didn’t answer, and you heard the tell-tale signs of his shirt hitting the floor. You heard him peeling off his signature spotted jeans, dropping them to the floor with a small thump.
“L-Law?” You called out to him. You felt his hands on your thighs, and you jolted at the sudden touch. He chuckled at your reaction, and parted your thighs. You whined a little at his movements, but eagerly spread your legs for him.
“What a good little doll. Just stay quiet and do as I say, yeah?” He spoke. You felt the softest brushes of his lips on your inner thighs, and you started to tremble with anticipation. You nodded, just wanting him to touch you. His weight suddenly disappeared from the mattress, and you felt alone and cold. You whined a little, nearing frustrated tears. You parted your lips to call out to him, but you knew he would prolong the time between touches even more if you spoke. You heard him rustling about, pulling something out from under his desk, then placed it near the bed, and you shifted a little, grinding your teeth with impatience.
“You’re being so good. How about a little reward, hm?” he cooed. You looked in the direction of where his voice came from, and you nodded with a small smile. You felt his weight press into the bed near your head, and his hand slid along your jaw and cheek, tilting your head up a little more. You parted your lips in anticipation, but he only gave you the briefest brush of his lips against yours. When he pulled back, you waited for a second to see if he would do anything else. His weight disappeared like a ghost yet again, and with it, the last of your patience. A tear of frustration escaped your eye, but it was immediately absorbed into the blindfold. You curled up on the bed, feeling exposed.
“Aww, cmon. I’ve got your surprise~” he said quietly. You perked up a little at that, hope sparking in you again.
“Sit up,” he commanded. You followed instructions, and knelt on the bed, sitting on your heels. You felt Law climb onto the bed, sitting in front of you.
“Hold out your hand. I’ll guide you so you can grab your surprise in the box,” he instructed. You held out a hand, and he grabbed your wrist with gentle fingers and guided your hand to your surprise. You jolted back a little as your fingers unexpectedly came into contact with something soft and fuzzy. You reached out again and grabbed it, looking at what you hoped was Law’s face with confusion.
“If I take off the blindfold, can you behave yourself?” he asked quietly. You nodded frantically, and sat still. You felt his fingers drag up your outstretched arm, up your shoulder and neck, and slowly up your cheek before pulling the blindfold off in one swift motion, careful not to pull any of your hair in the process. You blink at the sudden light, even if it was dim. You focus on your boyfriend in front of you, then on the “surprise” your hand was holding in the box placed rather strategically between Law’s legs. You were holding what looked like the arm of a snow leopard plush. You pulled it out of the box, confusion on your face.
“Speak to it as if you were speaking to me” he ordered with a smirk. You rolled your eyes.
“Stop joking around. I brought out this new lingerie so you could give me the surprise,” You said. Law shook his head, a mischievous glint in his eye.
“He is the surprise.”
You gave him a flat look of disbelief, then looked down at the snow leopard. You had to admit, it was actually pretty adorable. You couldn’t help the soft smile that curved your lips as you looked down at it.
“Well… thank you. He’s actually super cute,” you murmured. Law tugged it back.
“You’ll only get it if you speak to it like you're speaking to me” he said, humor evident in his voice. You sighed and shook your head. You had no idea where he had even gotten this idea, nor where he was going with it.
“Fine,” you snap. Your eyes land on the snow leopard, still held in Law’s hands. You begin speaking, feeling like a dumbass.
“Well… mini Law, you know I love you, right?” you looked back up at your boyfriend for approval. He shook his head.
“More.”
You sighed heavily, and rolled your eyes.
“You’re the only man I know who could make me do this and I’d still consider having sex with you right after,” you grumble. You snatched the plush from his hands and turned around, holding him up to eye-level.
“Law, hypothetically, what would you tell your female friend if she told you that her boyfriend had been talking about a surprise for the bedroom all day, so she decided to bring out some brand new lingerie that she had embroidered with his Jolly Roger, and wore it under her sweatpants and shirt while she was making a delicious dinner for him, and then he teases her in the bedroom until she's literally crying from frustration of not being touched, and then he pulls a prank on her to give her a snow leopard plush as the surprise. What would you say?”
You could feel Law rolling his eyes at your dramatics. You heard the huff of his sigh behind you, and for extra effect, you brought the snow leopard up to your ear, as if listening to what it had to say.
“What’s that? You think she should make him sorry? I think so too. Thank you, Law!”
“Oi,” Law said, annoyance seeping into his tone. You turn back to him and shrug, putting the plush by the pillows and crawl off the bed. You feel his eyes on you, watching your movements curiously. You stop by your dresser to grab some cozy pajamas, and strut to the ensuite bathroom.
“Oi. What the hell do you think you're doing?” Law called from the bed, naked except for the box covering his softening dick. You scoffed from the bathroom.
“You aren’t getting any tonight, Law,” your voice was muffled as you closed the door, and began stripping off the lingerie.
“Oh c’mon, I know you’re bluffing. Just get back out here, I promise I’ll make it up to you,” he called, exasperation evident in his tone. You rolled your eyes, but said nothing, only walking out of the bathroom dressed in your pajamas, and tossed the lingerie set at Law.
“Not bluffing. If you wanna play, you better know damn well who your opponent is, and you haven’t even seen even part of how stubborn I can be,” the smirk on your face was absolutely evil. He caught the lingerie, and looked at you skeptically.
“Yeah? Whatcha gonna do now?” he asked, a sardonic grin lazily curved his lips. You hated how it made your heart flip in your chest.
“Me? I’m going to go get a cup of sleepy time tea. Want any?” You slid on your slippers and walked to the door, looking at him curiously as your hand rested on the handle. His jaw dropped a little.
“Are you serious?” he said quietly. You only raised a single brow with a smirk on your lips. He rolled his eyes and stood from the bed.
“Fine. Just give me a second.” he quickly put on some sweatpants, not bothering with a shirt. You waited until he was approaching you to open the door, leading the way through the submarine to the kitchen. He followed you, playing along with your demands. You reached the kitchen and started the kettle, dragging out two mugs and two tea bags as he leaned against the opposite counter. His gold eyes followed your movements closely, and you swallowed at his tousled hair, gray sweats that hung low, and his abs that seemed prominent in the low light of the stove light. Having run out of things to do, you finally faced him with a smirk and arms crossed over your chest.
“So,” you started. He quirked a brow up, and smirked at you.
“So…” he echoed.
“You aren’t getting anything until you’re as desperate for me in that lingerie set as I was for you. I literally cried a little from frustration,” you complained. He scoffed.
“You’re kidding me. We both know that you can’t resist me,” he said cockily. You rolled your eyes, smiling evilly
“Usually, no I can’t resist you. But I’ll resist just for the sake of being stubborn. I’ve got something to prove, and you have something to make up to me,” you said. His smirk widened at the challenge.
“Uh huh. Fine. What are the conditions?” he said, catching on. You laughed a little, but it was more ominous than anything.
“The conditions are that you won't get anything other than friendly touches from me. I’ll tease you, and I’ll wear you down until you break,” you say confidently. Law rolls his eyes.
“Easy. You’ll break first,” he said. You pouted at him, but the kettle signaled that it was done, and you poured the water into the mugs, handing one to him. You looked at him as if you were concerned about something.
“Did you not like the lingerie?” you ask sweetly. He choked a little on his tea, splashing the hot water on his bare chest. He sucked in a breath at the sting, and you handed him a towel, looking a little concerned. He waved off your concern.
“I’m fine, don’t worry. But uh… I think… It made me… feel a way that I really liked. Possessive over you almost. It marks you as mine,” he stumbled over his words a little, a little blush on his cheeks. Your face lit up with understanding, morphing into something mischievous. You step forward until you could whisper in his ear.
“Ohhhh ~ so you really liked it, huh? Might want to remember exactly how I looked, laying under you, blindfolded and soaking through the thongs that had your mark right on my little clit. I needed you, Law. I was crying from frustration because that’s how much I needed you. I was helpless under your hands, willing to do anything to get you to fuck me. And now…” you stepped back and leaned against the opposite counter, “Now, I want you to come crawling to me, begging for my body like I was begging for you earlier,” you tease. Your eyes trail lustily over his lanky body, biting your bottom lip and letting it slide out from between your teeth seductively, and traced your tongue over your teeth as your eyes rested on his obvious erection in his sweats. You finally let your eyes trail up his tattooed torso, noticing the white-knuckled grip he had on the handle of his mug, and how his chest seemed to shakily rise and fall. You finally met his eyes, and put your mug of tea behind you, and let one hand trace your curves over your shirt, then raise the hem of your shirt until a sliver of underboob was showing. You used both hands to hold it up evenly, so only the underboob was showing, and then squished them together. Law wasn’t breathing, and you could see the seeds of regret beginning to sprout behind his eyes. You were honestly a little afraid he’d break the mug in his grip, but your attention was diverted to his dick straining through the gray sweats. You met his eyes, and winked at him as you dropped your shirt. You picked up your mug and nonchalantly walked out of the kitchen.
“Night, captain~” you teased as you left. He watched you leave, knowing he was stuck standing there until his dick calmed down, lest he run into a crew member with an erection bobbing in plain view.
You went back to your shared room, and settled into bed. You had finished your entire mug of sleepy time tea and was starting to get ready for bed when Law finally walked into the room. You caught his gaze in the mirror as you brushed your teeth, and bent over the sink, sticking your underwear-clad ass out in clear view as you spat and rinsed your mouth. Law looked up to the ceiling, head falling back as if he were asking the gods for mercy. You finished getting ready and crawled into bed, yawning as you curled up under the blankets. By the time Law had finished getting ready for bed, you were half asleep. He crawled into bed next to you, and ran a finger down your face.
“I love you… you know that?” he murmured sleepily. You hummed and nodded.
“You’re still not getting a kiss, but I love you too. Unconditionally,” you answered. He snorted a little at your answer before landing a kiss on your forehead. You were too tired to argue, and it felt good after being denied so much of his touch earlier. He laid facing you, the both of you drifting to sleep quickly.

Two days.
He lasted two days.
The night after you had set the rules, he could only think of you laying under him, squirming and soaking the lingerie. The stockings hugging your thighs, tight enough that there was a little bulge at the top of them, and garters decorating your hips. The strings of the thong were also decorating your hips, with his Jolly Roger rubbing over your sensitive clit as you spread your legs for him. The gold rings glinted down your midline, with crisscrossing silky strands accentuating your curves, and moved with every heave of your breath. The mesh bralette was the final touch, a flimsy thing that rubbed your sensitive nipples into hard buds with the stimulation his embroidered Jolly Roger provided. The night after he accepted your terms, he woke up humping the mattress, on the verge of an orgasm. You only woke up when he got up to go to the bathroom, and he quickly hushed you, reassuring you he would be right back. The following day, he locked himself in his office, claiming something about expense reports and researching something about the island they were approaching.
You knew damn well that he was avoiding you, hoping to win this bet if he didn’t see you tease him. Unfortunately for him, you’d bring him snacks and drinks through the day, always leaving him a blushing, scowling mess as he sat at his desk, waiting for his erection to go down before he could stand again.
It was at dinner on the second day that he approached you, leaning down to whisper in your ear as he passed by you.
“Meet me in our room later,” was all he said. You smirked to yourself, and you had every right to.
After dinner, you strolled back to your room slowly. You took your time, making him wait like you had to two nights ago. You finally opened the door, and quickly shut it as you saw the view in front of you. Law was kneeling in front of the door, naked with a throbbing and leaking dick. He was blushing, and you looked down at him in shock.
“L-law?” you whispered. He looked up at you, and pointed to the bed. You looked, and saw your lingerie set laid out carefully on the bed, next to the blindfold.
“You win. I can’t… I need you. P-ple… fuck. Please? No matter how many times I cum, it doesn’t feel as good as it does with you. I can’t… I can’t get it right,” he nearly whimpered.
Your jaw dropped. Trafalgar Water D. Law, Captain of the Heart Pirates and the so-called Surgeon of Death, was on his knees begging for you to put on your lingerie embroidered with his Jolly Roger and to make him cum. You started yourself starting to get wet, and you swiftly knelt down in front of him.
“Okay. Okay sweetie. C’mere,” you gently cupped his scruffy jaw in your palms and kissed him deeply. Your tongues clashed together, and he let you win the battle for dominance quickly, moaning as he finally touched you. You pulled back, and looked at him with a grin.
“Just let me go get changed, and you decide if you want to be more dom or sub tonight, okay? If you’re sub, I want you to be wearing the blindfold. If you’re dom, I want you to put it on me once I’m on the bed, okay?”
He nodded, and kissed you again briefly before standing. You stood with him, and gave him a flirtatious smile as you grabbed the lingerie from the bed.
“I’ll be right back… wait for me.”
“Always.”

Can someone PLEASE make a comic of a scenario where Zoro tries to prank Sanji:
Zoro: *replaces Sanji’s shampoo with purple shampoo he found on the island, thinking it’ll dye Sanji’s hair purple*
Sanji: *notices but makes SURE Zoro sees him using the “prank” shampoo*
Zoro: *mischievous little gremlin smile*
Sanji: *rinses out the shampoo with lighter blond hair, then looks directly at Zoro* next time you try to prank me, Marimo, at least do it right
Zoro: *confused and shocked*
Later he asks one of the girls and they tell him that if you wash blond hair with purple shampoo, it reduces the yellow undertones of the blonde.
Zoro: *rage*

So I’ll do the ending where the reader leaves the straw hats to be with Law. Don’t worry, it’ll be full of conflicting emotions and be bittersweet.
People can request different endings through my commissions (I gotta make money somehow) but I can make a deal so you won’t pay as much.
It takes A LOT of effort to do this for free. Ask me or other fanfic writers just how the process is, and there’s pressure to please everyone (at least by me)
Torn Apart Ending
I plan on a discussion between Zoro and reader, but how it goes will depend on this poll.

Torn Apart pt. 3
So it's been a while and I went through a kinda depression phase, but I'M BACK with chapter 3 at least, and chapter 4 is in the works. I will set up a poll to see how y'all want it to end because I just can't decide.
TW's: Reader is kinda drugged but is funny, talk of pain, talk of the trauma and the fight with Zoro.
And yes, to the person who asked if I'd seen Violet Evergarden, I love it so much and her hands are what I'm mostly thinking of when writing <3

You sighed deeply and slowly, eyes still closed in partial slumber. You were waking up, groggy as all hell but still conscious. Your brows furrowed before you pried open your eyes into slits, before opening them further once you realized you were in a dimly lit room.
“There ya are” a voice said. You recognized it, and knew it was safe, but the man’s name escaped your grasp. You heard various beeping in the background, and you felt like you were dreaming.
“Wha…?” you slurred, smacking your lips as you noticed your mouth was dry. You blinked slowly again.
“You’re going to be groggy for a bit, but everything was successful and went smoothly” the voice said. It was soothing, hearing him talk. You finally focused on him, sitting in the corner of the room on a chair. He stood, and your eyes lagged to follow his movements.
“Law” you whispered in recognition as the light hit his face. You could feel yourself smiling dopily.
“You’re so pretty, Law” you slurred. You wanted to touch his face, feel his beard and sideburns, to feel the heat from his tanned skin as he blushed at your compliment. Your arm twitched, but didn’t move completely off the bed. You scowled at it before it crashed into you.
Your arm.
You had arms.
The surgery. The arms. It worked!
You looked up at Law, tears filling your eyes as you looked at him with true, unfiltered gratitude. He paused at your tears.
“Does it hurt? Are you in pain?” he quickly bent over to check your shoulders but you shakily raised one hand to touch his face. You could feel the echoes of his skin and the coarseness of his sideburns and beard.
“I can touch you,” you said softly. A wide smile puffed your cheeks and you laughed a little in disbelief. Law smiled a little, just a small quirk of his lips, and put his hand on the back of yours.
“Yeah. But are you in pain?” he asked again. You stared at his hand, resting on top of yours. You could feel the heat of it, and how warm he was. More tears flowed with your happiness. You sniffed, finally taking stock of your body. The sites of the attachments were stinging and throbbing, but it was tolerable.
“Yeah but it’s not bad” you finally said. Law sighed in relief, put your hand back on the bed, and stood upright.
“Good. It should be painful, but not so bad it's unbearable and you shouldn’t be numb. I’ll go get your crew,” he said. You nodded, still unable to wipe the smile off your face. He walked quickly to the door and opened it. His soft voice floated back to you as you bent both arms at the elbow to look at your hands.
They were incredible, intricate pieces that were made of metal. The silver gleam was dulled in the light that was only provided by a lamp on the small table across the room, but it was the best thing you’ve ever laid eyes on. You tried clenching and unclenching your fist, checking out the movement. It was choppy, and it hurt like a bitch at the attachment sites, but they worked. Your dazed study of your arms was interrupted by Law yelling at your captain.
“Oi! Mugiwara-ya! Be fucking gentle! I won’t have you screwing up my work!”
You heard Luffy and the crew running towards your room way before you saw any faces. Luffy’s slap of his sandals, Franky’s metal arms pumping, Usopp screeching as he got run over by Nami, who was wearing heels. You heard the two different taps of dress shoes from both Sanji and Brook. Luffy’s rubber hands gripped the doorframe and he shot himself past your room before letting his body pull him back so he could jump off the adjacent wall and fly into your room. He skidded to a halt at the side of your bed, eyes twinkling and a huge, toothy smile on his face. You noticed Chopper was hanging onto his shoulder for dear life, but popped up to see how you were doing.
“Shihihihihi~ You’re awake! You have suuuuuper cool robot arms! Man, I have the coolest crew. Are you hungry? Should Sanji to cook you something? Can he make you meat?” Luffy fired questions at you one after the other. In your groggy state of mind, the words jumbled together, but you were saved by Chopper, who hopped onto your bed gently.
“Shut up, Luffy! Patient’s are usually confused and groggy when they first wake up. And no, no meat right now- that’s just an excuse for you to eat more meat!” Chopper chided Luffy. You couldn’t help but smile at the reindeer. He’s just too cute.
“Cute” you mumbled. You wanted to squish his face. Your arms were still bent at the elbow, and you let Chopper gently crawl up your body to sit on your stomach.
“Squish squish” you slurred, pinching his cheeks. He cried out in pain a little but there was still a smile fighting to stay on his face. He pulled his cheeks free from your grip and giggled while rubbing the sore spots.
“Well it looks like we need to train fine motor skills, but that’s to be expected,” he said. His words washed over you, the meaning clicking in your mind somewhere, but not coming to the forefront. You were distracted by movement by the doorway. Sanji and Franky were trying to shove each other out of the way to get into the door first, but Nami’s well-planted foot on Franky’s butt caused him to stumble into the room first, but he caught himself and seemed to materialize by your bedside. Nami entered second, as Sanji let her go first, before cutting in front of Usopp. You blinked slowly, and suddenly your bed was surrounded by your crew. Well, all except one. You looked at Luffy, who started asking about what kind of cool robot things you could do now, and Chopper tried desperately to answer for you. You looked at Franky next, and he got closer to you with a smile.
“Heya, kiddo. Ya got’cha suuuuperrrrr arms. Everything went well! Law is a super surgeon, and with a little bit of physical therapy and training, you should get used to the arms in no time,” he said. You looked at him, blinking slowly as the words sunk in and the meaning clicked. You smiled up at him.
“I love you like a brother. My big brother. I’ll protect you, cuz we’re twin-sies,” you murmured, raising your hand. He clasped it, tears starting to form in his eyes at your drugged words. Your grip tightened in mechanical increments around his, and you flinched a little as the attachment sites stung. He let go of your hand, and brought it down to rest on your stomach.
“You need to let the sites heal a little more before you really start using it,” he said around tears streaming down his face. You hummed a little in response, letting your gaze wander. It landed on Sanji, who was hovering uncertainly on your other side.
“Hey, cook” you greeted softly. Sanji’s lip quivered a little but he broke out in a smile.
“Hey, my little fighter, do you need anything? Water? Food?” he asked, reaching out gently to stroke your hair. You let yourself nuzzle into his hand.
“So kind, Sanji. So nice, and strong, and kind. Did I say that already?” You slurred your words slightly. His hand froze on your head, and you whined a little when he stopped stroking your hair. You looked at him with a small pout. His cheeks were a bright red, and he was looking at you, lips parted with shock. You let your head fall more into his hand.
“More” you mumbled. He immediately started back up again, and you closed your eyes briefly with a hum. Sounds of indignation from Brook brought your gaze to him, and he reached out with a tentative hand.
“May I please… see your panties?” he asked solemnly. Nami whacked his skull as you giggled a little.
“I haven’t heard that in a while. Did I change that much?” you asked him, a small smile on your face. The crew quieted at your question, before Nami spoke up.
“No sweetie. You haven’t changed much at all, it’s just that we got scared. You were so hurt, that we didn’t know how to act around you,” she said quietly. You hummed. Sanji’s hand kept stroking your hair.
“Like Zoro. He was scared, and guilty, and only got that out in anger” you said, brow furrowing. The words you were trying to say weren’t coming out as clearly as you wanted. The crew was silent for a moment.
“Yes, he was, and is, feeling scared and guilty” Robin answered. You nodded once in confirmation, smiling at the fact that they still understood what you were trying to say. You looked up at Sanji, smiling proudly.
“Just like you said,” you whispered loudly. He smiled sadly down at you, tears brimming his eyes.
“Yeah. Just like I said” he murmured. A snorting sniff attracted your attention, and you looked at Usopp, who was obviously fighting back tears.
“Hey Usopp, did it hurt your mother when she gave birth to a baby with such a big nose?” you asked seriously. Franky snorted a laugh, shocked by your question. Brook started laughing so hard he ended up on his knees and elbows, crashing a fist into the floor as he repeated your question breathlessly. Luffy started laughing wildly, Chopper right beside him, and you smiled at the sound. Nami sank into a chair, clutching her stomach as she laughed. Robin giggled behind her hand, and Usopp stared at you with a shocked expression.
“I uh… I don’t know” he said finally, before erupting into giggles. You hummed, looking at Sanji, who was laughing loudly. You smiled at him. He was gorgeous like this. Laughter suited him well.
You didn’t realize you said it out loud until he was looking down at you in surprise, a grin on his face as his cheeks turned pink. The rest of the crew was still ganging up on Usopp, teasing about his long nose.
“Thank you, but you are much more gorgeous than I could ever be,” he answered. You giggled, a dumb joke coming to mind.
“I think I’ll shine brighter now that I’m part metal” you said, grinning up at him. He fought back tears at your drugged giddiness. A wave of exhaustion swept through your body, and you relaxed completely against your pillow.
“Okay that’s it. Everyone out,” Law chided from the doorway. Robin, Nami, Brook and Usopp filed out with various well wishes. Sanji soothed a hand over your hair one more time before dropping a light kiss against your forehead. You hardly registered it through your exhaustion, eyes drooping and a hum of contentment was pulled unconsciously from your chest.
“Bonne nuit, fais de beaux rêves, mon Ange” (goodnight, sweet dreams, my angel) Sanji whispered. You didn’t have a clue what he said, but you knew it was something sweet. Luffy sat down on the chair that Law had previously sat in, obviously not going anywhere. You faded off to sleep as you heard Franky, Chopper, and Law murmuring at the foot of your bed.
As you drifted in and out of consciousness, you felt strange, pain echoing in your shoulders and attachment sites, spreading to an odd sensation in your arms. You could feel things, and they didn’t exactly hurt, but it was really uncomfortable. You were interrupted through the night by Law’s crew, taking turns to check your vitals and healing through the night. Luffy sprawled out on the chairs, snoring loudly, and you found the comfort of familiarity in the sound.
The next few days passed in a blur, your memory and time perception altered by the pain drugs Law was administering through your neck IV. In your bouts of consciousness, you managed to eat broth and light meals prepared by Sanji that were packed with nutrition. He fed you the broth, your arm still movements too jerky to keep the liquid balanced on the spoon, but watched you carefully as you fed yourself bite-sized pieces of fruit that he stabbed with a fork and handed to you. You accidentally bent a few forks at first when you grabbed it, but Franky walked you through practicing your fine motor skills. At least now you weren’t bending forks every time you tried to eat a piece of apple. Law actually had a difficult time keeping your crew from overwhelming you, and muttered under his breath when he was checking your surgery sites about how it was like herding animals. You remember bits of Law keeping you company when you were unable to sleep during the dead of night from your naps during the day. He sat with his textbooks in his lap beside your bed and told you intriguing facts and topics from his studies. He sometimes fell asleep in the chair, and you remembered inviting him to sleep with you instead of in the chair. His cheeks turned bright red as he swiftly excused himself saying that he heard his crew calling him.
The rest of the Straw Hat Pirates kept you company through the day, much like they did when you were recovering on the Sunny. Franky and Usopp teamed up to design ‘sleeves’ to go over your metal arms when you wanted ‘skin’ over them. Usopp designed various color, black, and even metallic tattoos to go on some, and others had freckles or smooth skin. Some even had long, painted and fancy nails that you could even use like needle-like knives. Anything you could ever want your arms and hands to look like could happen. They blended seamlessly with your natural skin tone, and covered the attachment sites to protect them. Usopp and Franky finished the first one while you were still recovering, bursting into the room excitedly as you were sitting and chatting with a mixture of your crew and Law’s crew. Everyone startled for a second at the sound, but calmed once Franky’s bright smile shone and Usopp’s voice began to exaggerate the effort that went into the project. You eyed the sleeve with curiosity. It was basically like a glove made of synthetic skin, made out of the same material Franky used on himself.
“What design is this one?” you asked excitedly. Franky snatched the sleeve from Usopp and held it up, but you still couldn’t quite make out what the tattoos were.
“Hold out your left arm and close your eyes,” he instructed. You grinned and did as you were told. The cyborg gently slid the glove on your metal arm, making sure not to force it when something got caught. The pressure was still uncomfortable on your attachment sites, but it wasn’t exactly painful. You felt his fingers brush over the highly sensitive skin of the sites, and you jerked away from the sudden sensation.
“Sorry,” he muttered.
“It’s okay. They’re just really sensitive,” you answered. Franky hummed a little, carefully pulling the sleeve away from the metal and skin as he pulled it the rest of the way up.
“They’ll likely be for a little while longer, unfortunately. But this will help protect them, and won’t rub against it,” he answered. He finally stopped fidgeting with the sleeve and pulled back.
“Alright. Open your eyes,” he said proudly. Your eyes opened, gaze going directly to your arm. It was… stunning. A sleeve of your dream tattoos swirled on your skin, looking freshly healed and vibrant. You moved your arm, elbow bending and circled your wrist. The material moved exactly like skin, and your eyes traveled to where the attachment site should be. It was covered and the top of the sleeve thinned into featherlight nothingness as it blended into your shoulder.
“Wow” you whispered under your breath. You knew the material was synthesized to be stronger than normal skin, resistant to blades, bullets, and heat. Your brows scrunched upwards, and you fought back tears as a smile curved your mouth. Words of gratitude bubbled in your throat, too many to express coherently. Tears spilled down your cheeks as a laugh forced its way out. You simply held your hands out for a hug, one metal and one seemingly flesh. Both men grinned as tears welled up in their own eyes, and they hugged you at the same time.
“Thank you” you whispered. It didn’t feel enough, but there weren’t words deep enough to express your gratitude.
“Of course!”
“Always,” they answered in tandem. More laughter rose from your chest as you pulled back to inspect the sleeve some more. You noticed the texture of it, and the wrinkles indicating your knuckles. There were even ‘calluses’ on your fingers, and lines on your palm. The only thing different from real skin was that the sleeve was devoid of hair. Franky had explained earlier that putting fibers like that on would pierce through the material, and weaken it somehow, but it was a small detail you were willing to give up.
“It’s incredible work” you said in a hushed tone. You finally noticed the rest of the visitors were crowded around on the other side of the bed, getting a closer look at your sleeve. You held out your arm, and various fingers reached out to touch it and trace over the lines of your tattoos. You could feel it all. It was distant, but you were assured that you would be able to feel everything as much as possible in the next few months.
You couldn’t stop smiling and staring at your arm until it was time to take it off so Law could check your attachment sites.
“You’re healing really well,” he said quietly. You smiled up at him, but looked away when your heart flipped as he returned your smile with a tiny one of his own.
“Is that a compliment?” you asked teasingly. Law scoffed and rolled his eyes playfully.
“You wish. A compliment to Chopper-ya and Franky-ya, and to myself,” he muttered. You giggled. Your ribs were still sore with the movement, but apparently Law did something while you were in surgery to speed up the healing of your ribs and sternum. You watched him as he leaned over you, his eyes focused on your attachment sites as he moved your arm about.
“Law?”
“Hmm?”
“I’ve been in this bed for days. When can I start moving and gods above, when can I bathe?” you pleaded. Law sighed.
“Yeah, you're right. You do smell,” he said as he pulled back to walk around the bed to check your other arm. You rolled your eyes.
“I know. If you’d let me, I’d be on my knees begging you to have mercy but you won’t let me out of bed,” you huffed. Law’s face flushed and he cleared his throat loudly. The double meaning of your words slammed into you and your cheeks heated with embarrassment. Your thoughts had drifted to thoughts of him in terms of… bedroom activities, but that was because you were so bored! It had been a week, and during that time, you were only allowed out of bed to go to the bathroom under strict supervision.
“I didn’t mean it like that… I mean I wouldn’t be opposed but- I mean I just think you’re ho- um. Attractive? But of course I’m sure you know that and get told that a lot, even though you’re a sadistic dork, which is quite an impressive contradiction… right? And I’ll just shut up now,” you stumbled through your attempt at correcting yourself desperately, looking anywhere but the man standing at your side. The words kept flowing out of your mouth, digging yourself into a deeper hole with each syllable. Your cheeks were burning, and you felt heat all over your face from your embarrassment. Silence seeped into the air thick with your humiliating words. You felt like it lasted for much longer than you know it did, and it was only interrupted by Law letting out a small chuckle. You sighed and hid your face behind your hands. The cool metal pressed against your heated face, and you groaned both in relief and embarrassment.
“A hot, sadistic dork, huh?” he teased in a low voice. You made a noise in your throat- somewhere between a squeak and a groan. You distantly felt him touch the back of your hands, trying to pull them away from your face. You resisted, and hissed a little in pain when the attachment sites burned with the effort. He pulled back immediately, his cool hands tracing your skin and checking the sites to make sure nothing was injured. Your hands had fallen from your face and the burning eased quickly, and you could only focus on his golden eyes tracing over your skin and his cool hands maneuvering your arm. His piercing gaze found your admiring one and you yanked your gaze to your arm. The attachment site was completely fine.
“You like that I’m a hot sadistic dork, don’t you?” he murmured. You could hear the amused smirk in his voice, and you looked resolutely up at the ceiling, not looking at him.
“You changed my life with these. I think you’re an amazing surgeon and our ally and friend” you said carefully, raising your hands briefly to demonstrate your point. Your cheeks still felt hot.
“That didn’t answer my question,” he answered teasingly. You huffed a sigh, closing your eyes as you let your head fall onto your pillow. You felt him place his hands on the mattress near your shoulder and lean over you to check the other attachment site. Your heart flipped.
“Fine. Yes. I like that you’re a stupidly hot, smart, nerdy, sadistic dork” you answered with faux annoyance. You opened your eyes with a scowl, wishing you could control your arms gently enough to cross your arms over your chest. He was peering down at you from above, gold eyes pinning you to the bed with mirth and amusement. A stupidly sexy smirk curved his lips.
“See? It wasn’t that hard to admit now, was it?” His eyes flicked to your lips before meeting your gaze again. He swallowed hard, and you followed the movement, trailing your eyes from his throat down to his toned, tattooed chest. You ripped your eyes back up to his gaze, now highly amused by your obvious actions. Guilt stabbed through you, and you looked away, turning your head to the side.
“Kinda was,” you said easily. Law pushed back so he was standing upright, and sat down in a chair. There was a moment of comfortable silence.
“You were with Zoro-ya, weren’t you?” he asked quietly. You sighed heavily.
“Yeah. I was. For a few years” you answered. Law hummed.
“So your type is men with big swords?” he asked cheekily. You looked over at him quickly in surprise, before laughing in shock and at his joke.
“Yeah I guess so” you said around giggles. Law smiled gently at you. It was late, and he had kicked your crewmates off his ship for the night. You didn’t need to be checked on through the night anymore, so his crew was catching up on sleep if they weren’t partying with your crewmates.
“Can I ask you a personal question?” he asked. You looked at him with a dying smile, and sighed.
“You want to know why Zoro and I broke up?” you guessed. The surgeon nodded. You sighed and settled on your bed on your side, with your arm tucked under your pillow to reduce the weight resting on the attachment site. It was still a little uncomfortable, but it wasn’t bad.
“If I’m honest, I’m not completely sure if we officially broke up. I got hurt protecting him after I told him we should run…” memories of the day flicked through your mind, and you shook your head a little before continuing, “I’m sure you know the details of the injuries and can piece together what happened. But he was knocked out for a bit, and I tried to protect him even then. I finally could call for help and only passed out when I knew one of my crew was there taking care of the Marines. Apparently he threw up when he saw my body, thinking I was dead, but then carried me back to the ship with whoever came to save us. I dunno if he was there when I was still asleep and recovering or what. But I do remember that when I was awake for good finally, he had to leave the room. Some night later, either that same one or the one after, I don’t remember, he came into my room and… yelled at me, I guess screamed at me?” The memory of his harsh words floated back to mind, and you closed your eyes in shame before looking at Law and continuing,
“He asked me why I protected him, saying he didn’t need saving. He was gripping my knee, and honestly I was scared he was going to crush it.  He yelled at me, asking if I thought he was so weak that he needed saving, and what the hell I meant when I said I wasn’t thinking. He punched a hole in the wall above my head, and when I screamed, Luffy and Sanji ran in. He kept going though, keeping his fist in the wall he called me a weak pathetic piece of shit, how I could lose my arms to a wall, and that he wished the bomb had hit him so he wouldn’t need to see the person he was dating like… this,” you swallowed and cleared your throat. It was relieving to be able to tell someone what happened, instead of someone already knowing. It was hard to get the words out through your remembered fear, but it was still a relief to talk about it. Your gaze had wandered a little while you recalled the incident, and you looked back at the surgeon. His eyes were shadowed under his hat, but his jaw was clenched and his hands were curled into fists on his knees. You sighed, but continued with your story,
“Luffy dragged him out of the room and they fought. It took Luffy, Sanji, and Robin to restrain him until Luffy could break through his anger. Zoro even tried to attack Nami. He stayed away from me for a few days until he came to apologize. I had Franky right outside the door and had him keep it cracked open so he could intervene. I was probably kind of an asshole, but I was kind of surprised when he said he wanted to apologize. I asked if he really wanted to, and he said that Luffy told him he had to. I sarcastically said ‘oh thanks’ and he got kinda pissed and said ‘I’m trying to apologize, isn’t that enough?’ and I lost my shit. I yelled at him, saying that I wanted him to apologize when he means it, not because he was ordered to. Franky hauled Zoro’s ass out of the room and I haven’t seen him since. I don’t honestly know how to be around him anymore, but I love the crew,” you finished. You almost expected to cry during the story, but at this point, you were numb towards it. It happened, and nothing was going to change how he broke your heart.
You glanced at Law, who hadn’t moved, before shifting to lay on your back to ease the discomfort of your arm. You let the silence hang like the stickiness of humidity. It was a few minutes before Law spoke.
“Join my crew.”
You looked at him in shock, sitting up and turning fully towards him.
“What?”
“Just for a few months, until you feel comfortable going back to your own crew. Unless you decide you want to stay here. We run into the Straw Pirates often enough, especially if we keep this alliance,” he explained. You looked at him in surprise, but looked to the side as you started thinking.
“Law…” you started. He interrupted you.
“Don’t decide now. Think about it for a while and talk to your crew. I… I know that you kind of have something going on with that curly-browed cook too, and he will treat you exactly how you deserve. Better than I ever could. So think about it. We can sail near the Straw Hats for a little while too. It’s up to you,” Law stood and walked to the door, shoes tapping loudly in your shocked silence. He tossed a small smile over his shoulder before speaking again.
“Get some rest, and we’ll have Chopper help give you a bath tomorrow, okay? We’ll see how you feel walking around after that,” Law said. You nodded, and he opened the door to leave.
“Law” you called. He stopped, looking back at you with a raised brow.
“Thank you, for the offer. I’m seriously thinking about it,” you said. This time he nodded.
“Good.” He stepped out of the room and closed the door quietly. You flopped down back on the bed, thinking about his words.
I know that you kind of have something going on with that curly-browed cook too, and he will treat you exactly how you deserve. Better than I ever could. So think about it.
What did he mean by ‘better than I ever could’? Did he also feel the connection between the two of you?
Thoughts swirled around your head. You’d desperately miss your crew, who was family, but you’d be healing and could go back to them. But if you stayed here, you could fall in love with Law, or at least have something with him. You also did, admittedly, have something with Sanji, who cared for you and you knew would treat you right. But if you did get with Sanji, that could cause even more tension with Zoro. But if you went back to the Straw Hats, then you’d have Chopper, Franky, and Usopp to help you get used to your arm and training you, but Luffy was also reckless and you could end up in a situation you weren’t ready for. Law was meticulous and an incredible surgeon, and his crew were well trained in terms of mechanics, so it would be fine to stay with them. But if you stayed with them, then you’d really miss your family, but if you went back to them, you’d have to deal with living with Zoro, but if you stayed with the Heart Pirates, then you wouldn’t know how to live with Zoro and would have to adjust while also adjusting to living with the rest of them again.
You heaved a sigh, the thoughts swirling and circling back to each other in your head. You settled down in your heap of blankets and pillows, letting your thoughts sway your mind into a fitful sleep.

Hello love 💗 I hope you’re doing well! Are your requests open? If so I was wondering if I could request how the Strawhats react to you having to sit on their laps. Mostly looking for Zoro’s reaction 😭😭 he’s my currently fixation and I had a dream last night that he let me sit on his lap so I’m just obsessed. But if you plan on doing headcanons then maybe you can include Luffy and Sanji as well? Or whoever else you’d like to write for ☺️.
Perhaps they’re in an awkward/cramped situation and they have nowhere to go other than on his lap. And reader can be in a relationship with him or not yet. That’s up to you :D I hope this makes sense and thank you in advance if you’re able to write this! If not, then no worries ☺️ have a lovely day!
Omg I love this so much. And yes! my requests are currently open! (also I love Zoro too and i'm so jealous of your dream). Thank you for your request :) It ended up not being exactly your request because it ended up being confession scenarios when you're on their lap, and I'm sorry about that and I hope you still enjoy what I wrote. I tried to make it up with the amount I wrote lol.
I made this pretty fluffy, because I wasn't sure you'd be comfortable with anything spicy. Reader/character do end up kissing though. . Also I headcanon that Zoro would be so soft at first with his S/O because he might not have the confidence in emotions like that.
I am so whipped for Ace and I wanted to write him for so long but didn't know how to start so thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to.
Warnings: Small spaces, kissing, confessions, swearing (Ace part - suggestive, angst if you squint)
Monster Trio's + Ace's reaction to their crush confessing while sitting on their laps
Soft!Zoro, Luffy being Luffy idk what to say, Smooth!Sanji, Flirty!Ace

Running from the marines was exhausting, you had to admit. Ducking into alleys, climbing over walls and gates, knocking over crates and barrels, and zig zagging to avoid gunfire was more exercise than you ever wanted in your life. Yet, here you were, running for your life from the marines. Again. You glanced to your side, looking at the cause of the chaos. Even though you had a huge, fat crush on him, that didn't stop him from being a pain in the ass in moments like this. You opened your mouth to scold him, but fresh blasts of gunfire from behind you lead to him looping an arm around your waist and hauling you suddenly to the side, down a skinny alley. It was a dead end- or at least looked like it.
"Now what-" you broke off your hissed annoyance with a quiet yelp of surprise as he yanked you down another smaller alley, hidden around an unnoticeable corner at the end of the previous alley. A small, ornate wooden door was hauled open by your crush's hand before you even noticed it. He shoved the both of you inside and slammed shut the door. You ignored the musty damp smell of your surroundings as you tried to catch your breath in the dark, tiny closet.
You heard boots echo down the first alley you went down. You readied yourself to fight as you heard slow steps approaching the door that was nearly pressed to your nose. You felt your partner in crime shift behind you, readying to fight as well. You held your breath, lungs burning from the effort as a hand on the outside jiggled the handle. You heard the distinct clang of metal breaking. Your heart dropped into your stomach. Did that marine really just break the door? How is that even possible? How the hell can we get out?
You barely registered the marine reporting that he didn't find you two as he walked off. You felt your crush release a breath at the retreat of the Marines.
"He broke the door" you muttered to yourself. You ran your fingers over the door, finding no latch or handle on the inside.
"Why did we have to get locked in a closet on the one island with weird fucking doors? Those damn local craftsmen are too good" you groaned. You heard shuffling behind you, and suddenly a light from a small lantern exposed your surroundings- a tiny forgotten utility closet. You glanced behind you at your crush. He held the lantern up, and looked at the door that was nearly pressing into your nose.

Tumblr media
Zoro
"I hate you so much right now" you hissed as you let your head thud against the door.
"Not my fault. Now open the door" he said with a shrug you felt on your back. Seething, you glared at him over your shoulder before running your fingers over what could be the latch. As you suspected, it was broken. You weren't getting out of here unless someone came and saved you from the outside. You huffed a sigh.
"I can't. The marine broke it"
"What do you mean the marine broke it? If the door's broken, you should be able to open it!"
"Do I look like an expert in fucking doors? You know this island has incredible craftsmen. It doesn't even have an obvious lock!"
"Don't yell at me, it's not my fault the doors are so weird in this place!"
You took a deep breath. Bickering wouldn't get you anywhere.
"Would you be able to cut through the door?" you asked hopefully. Zoro shook his head.
"If it were just me in here, yeah. But with you here as well, I can't even draw my sword fully without cutting both of us." You nodded, understanding, but disappointed.
"Do you have the baby den-den mushi?"
He nodded, and his chest pressed heavily against you as he rummaged around. You breathed a sigh of relief as he produced it. You quickly called the Sunny, reporting the situation to Robin, who had just gotten back from exploring the town. She said she would send a clone to start looking for you, but it would be best to report it to Luffy. You thanked her, hung up, and called Luffy. You reported the situation, and Zoro had to yell at him to shut up to get him to stop laughing. He hung up with the promise of searching for you, though he didn't ask where you were. Not that you would've been able to tell him when Zoro was leading the way.
You groaned, letting your head thud against the door.
"Tired?" the swordsman asked. You nodded, shifting your legs slightly. They ached from sprinting and dodging bullets, and there was nowhere to sit. Zoro cleared his throat and shifted an overturned bucket behind him with his foot.
"You... you can sit on my lap" he suggested. His face was flushed in the lantern light, and it was unusual for him to stutter over his words. His reaction and his words made your heart skip a beat.
"Uh.. sure" you said shyly. He pulled you to his chest and sat on the bucket. You shifted your legs so your ass was on one of his thick thighs and your thighs draped over his other thigh. He seemed unsure where to put his hands. You snorted, grabbing one and winding it around your back, and guided the other to rest in your lap. You could feel the heat of his flushed face, and could smell the faint sweet freshness of sake and tang of metal. You relaxed into his embrace, leaning your shoulder on his chest and letting yourself imagine for a second that maybe, he liked you too. You felt him shift a little.
"You okay?" you asked. You looked at his face, and he almost looked like he was scowling, lost in thought.
"Yeah... just..." he trailed off. Thinking he was uncomfortable, you went to stand again. His hands tightened on your waist, holding you close. You looked at him questioningly. You almost felt like his heart was being faster against your arm
"Just?" you prodded. He looked away, and swore under his breath.
"Just... this is nicer than I thought it would be" he admitted quietly.
"Yeah, it is"
You both froze at your unconscious agreement. He looked at you, blush still tinging his cheeks red. You babbled on nervously, your face heating.
"I-I-I mean... without being locked in a tiny closet or uh... the weird old smell in here... not that you don't smell good... you do! Like sake and metal and that's hot... I mean hot like... people could be attracted to it! Heh. I mean you're really attractive and a great man so you could get anyone you wanted... but yeah I guess sitting on your lap is nice? Not in a sexual way though... just being close to you... right? Being close to people you like is gr-"
You were cut off by heavily calloused fingers guiding your chin so slightly chapped lips could close over yours. It took you a moment to be able to relax into the kiss, letting him set the pace and guide your movements. Eventually, once air became a necessity, you broke apart.
"I like you too" he said gruffly, as if the words had never left his lips before. You stared at him, meeting his serious gaze.
"Be mine." It was a demand and a question.
You nodded, so incredibly glad you ended up locked in a forgotten, tiny room with him, sitting on his lap, and sharing kisses and jokes.
Or at least, until Luffy managed to bust down the door with his sandaled foot. Zoro protected your body with his own, easily flipping you so you were under him.
"Luffy! Be fucking careful!" Zoro snapped at his captain. Luffy waved him off, questioning you about whether or not you were hungry. You giggled, nodding. As the three of you walked back to the Sunny, Luffy noticed something strange.
"Hey, Zoro. How come you said you couldn't get out? You easily could've broken that door down with your bare hands."
Zoro's responding blush had you snorting and giggling, and he playfully gently shoved you away.
"Shut up Luffy!"
"Huuuhh? What did I do? You could've easily broke it down!"
You broke into loud laughter at this, responding before your new boyfriend combusted from embarrassment.
"He wanted to spend extra time with me, Luffy"
"OH! I didn't know you two were such good friends!"
"We're more than friends now. He's my boyfriend" you announced. Luffy stopped and blinked at the two of you before a wide grin split his face.
"Okay! If you're with him all the time maybe he won't get lost as much. Now lets go! I'm hungry!"
You grabbed Zoro's hand and chased after the captain's sprinting figure, a grin plastered on your face.
Tumblr media
Luffy
"Are you going to open the door?" Luffy asked. You let your head thud against the wood.
"I can't. The marine broke it." you replied despondently. You heard Luffy hum.
"Lemme try!"
You felt his stretchy arms slither beside you. He felt around on the door, but suddenly slumped forward against your back.
"What's wrong?!"
"Sea prism stone" he slurred, head tucked on your shoulder. Your heart thudded as you felt his breath whisper on your neck, but dragged your focus back to the issue.
"Sea prism stone?! In a door to a storage room?!"
You felt him nodding against your back. You sighed. Damn it.
"Okay. Sit down. Let me see if I can take a better look at it"
You helped him slide off your back, ignoring the electrifying feeling of his skin against yours. I really have it bad for this man. He clumsily sat down on an overturned bucket behind him, but his knees knocked into the back of yours, sending you falling backwards onto his lap. His arms wrapped around your waist, catching you against his chest.
You froze at the contact. You could feel the heat of his bare chest and stomach through your shirt, and you really wanted to blame that on the heat that flooded to your cheeks. But you knew better.
"S-sorry" you stuttered out. You felt Luffy shrug behind you before holding you closer.
"It's fine. Now we get to cuddle!"
You giggled nervously.
"You cuddle with everyone on the crew?" you asked lightly, turning your attention back to the door in front of you. The space was so small that your shoulder was still resting against the captain as your fingers brushed over the door when your arm was held out in front of you.
"Not really, I mean I'll hug them, but I like you so I want to cuddle with you."
Your gaze snapped back to the captain, who was already looking at you with a soft smile. You couldn't believe it, so you tried again.
"You like the rest of our crew though" you said softly.
"Yeah, but not like I like you. I feel funny when you're around. Like my stomach drops like I'm falling when you touch me, or laugh at my jokes. I want to hold you and kiss you, if you'll let me".
You blinked at him, a happy smile curving your lips.
"I'll let you do that, Luffy. I like you more tha-"
He cut you off with a sudden bruising kiss. It was a messy clash of lips and tongues and teeth. It was too wet and messy. But it was perfect, because it was Luffy. He was messy and chaotic, but at the same time, a ball of calm sunshine. He broke the kiss, breath quickened.
"This means you're mine now" he murmured, running his hand over your hair. You smiled.
"It also mean that you're mine" you parroted teasingly. He grinned at you, chuckling. You pressed a palm against the side of his face, thumb brushing gently over the scar under his eye.
"But that doesn't solve how we're going to get out of here" you muttered. He hummed.
"Let's call the Sunny, see who can come get us" he said, producing the baby den-den mushi after some rummaging and shifting.
The two of you called, and Sanji picked up. Luffy reported the general situation, and you filled in important details.
"Oh! Also, the two of us are dating now!" Luffy proudly proclaimed. You lightly smacked him upside the head.
"Ask me before telling everyone that!" you chided. Sanji started nagging him too about asking your partner before doing some things. Luffy sulked, and you couldn't stand those puppy dog eyes. You sighed.
"Fine, fine. You can tell the crew".
His answering grin made you blush and giggle. Sanji sighed at the captain's antics, but offered his sincere congratulations, muttering something about how it was damn time. Bringing the conversation back to the issue at hand, he promised to call Robin to help search for you, but he didn't know how long it would take. He was watching the ship while the others went out, but he would notify them as well. You were about to thank him when you were interrupted.
"Oi. Curly Brow. Is that you?" came a deep voice through the door. Your new boyfriend perked up.
"Ooohh! Zoroooo!! You found us!"
"Luffy?!"
"Zoro! We're locked in! Can you cut the door open? There's not much room in here, so be careful! Oh and there's sea prism stone somewhere in the door" you called. Sanji sighed on the den-den mushi, grumbling about how Zoro's ability to get lost finally came in handy for once. You thanked Sanji and quickly hung up. With a warning to stay back, Zoro sliced easily through the door.
"How in the hell did you get stuck in there?" the swordsman demanded. Luffy poked his head over your shoulder, grinning.
"We were chased by marines and then one of them accidentally broke the door, but the inside of the door had sea prism stone or somethin'" he recounted.
"What the hell kind of door is that?"
You shrugged, stretching upwards as you freed yourself from the cramped space.
"I dunno. It was stupid. But at least I got to confess and we kissed!" Luffy added on excitedly. Your face heated with a blush, and you hid a grin. Zoro laughed, smacking your new boyfriend on his shoulder.
"See? I told you just to do it!"
"You knew?!" you exclaimed. Zoro smirked at you.
"Everyone but you knew. He's not exactly subtle."
You groaned, shoving your face in your hands. Apparently, you had some things to catch up on.
Tumblr media
Sanji
He looked at you, his visible blue eye shining with regret.
"I'm sorry I handled you so rough back there" he muttered, breath whispering against your cheek. You swore you saw tears of regret brimming in his eyes. Your heart skipped a beat.
"Hey hey, it's okay. You saved me from the marines. I probably would've gotten shot and captured if you hadn't done that" you soothed. He scowled at the idea of you getting captured. You smiled at him, hoping the dim light didn't expose your darkened cheeks.
"C'mon. See if you can get this door open. I didn't have any luck" you muttered. You shifted to the side, trying to get him to pass by you, but the space was too small. You ended up chest to chest. Warmth bled through his buttoned shirt, jacket left unbuttoned for once. You cleared your throat, sure you were going to combust from embarrassment. You smelled the cloying smoky sweetness from his preferred cigarettes, the fresh scent of his cologne, and hints of what he cooked for breakfast. You looked to the back of the closet, away from his gaze, willing your heart to stop beating so fast against his obviously chiseled chest.
"S-sorry. Can you get it like this?" you muttered. The vibration of his considering hum echoed through your chest. Were you breathing? Oh god why did he smell so good? He's so warm.
"My fingers may be skilled, but I can't get it. The only way to open the door now would be to break it down from the outside, seeing as there's no room for me to kick it open"
Your face was flaming, and you stopped listening after the first sentence. You'd dreamed about what those fingers could do, and he just unknowingly admitted to it.
"Are you okay? You feel warm" he said, raising the hand opposite the door to your forehead. You squeaked at the touch.
"If you're claustrophobic, I'm sure I can find some way out of here quickly."
"No, that's not it" you admitted quietly.
"No? Look at me" he said. He sounded worried. You held back an embarrassed groan and tilted your head to look at him.
"What's wrong? Did you get hit? Are you in pain? Those damn marines-"
"Sanji. I'm fine" you finally interrupted. You felt the hand he used to feel your forehead nudged your shoulder slightly so you could stand in front of him again. You followed the silent request, and he kept you facing him. You let his gaze roam over your form, resolutely looking away towards the door over your shoulder as if you were studying the mechanism.
"You're not bleeding" he observed. You snorted.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just a little tired" you said with a small smile, finally gaining the confidence to look back at his face. His worry disappeared with a relieved smile.
"Sit on my lap then. There's a bucket I can sit on behind me" he suggested. His cheeks became rosy, but you brushed off the reaction. It would be a cold day in hell before you passed up such an opportunity, so you nodded shyly. He wrapped you in his arms and spun you around, guiding you in what felt like a short dance as he took a seat. You shifted until you were comfortable on his lap. His legs were pure, solid muscle, you noticed quite happily.
"Better? We did run quite far from the marines." His breath tickled your ear, and you nearly choked on your spit at the intimacy of the position.
"Y-y-yeah"
"Your heart is still pounding and your face is red. You sure you're okay?"
This time you let out a groan, and his arms tightened around you.
"I'm fine, Sanji! I just have feelings!" you blurted. You slapped a hand over your mouth immediately.
"Feelings?" he echoed. Oh no why did I say that? He doesn't feel that way about me. Just look how he is with Nami and Robin!
"Romantic feelings? For me?" he asked. You were too focused on your internal panic to register the shocked excitement in his voice. You groaned, hiding your face in your hands as you nodded. Too late to back out now. One of his hands gently removed yours and tilted your chin so you were looking at him.
"Mon amour. I'm yours for as long as you'll have me. How can I say no to perfection, to the one I've loved since I first saw you?"
"...what?" you squeaked. This was insane. He... He liked you... like that? Like you liked him? Loved you? He smiled broadly at you, his cheeks tinging pink.
"I wish you had let me confess in a more romantic setting, but anywhere with you is paradise"
That was all the confirmation you needed. You slowly leaned towards him, your gaze flicking between his lips and his visible eye. He looked surprised, but met you halfway. He let you guide the pace, keeping the kiss chaste and loving. You broke away eventually, needing air. Your eyes slipped back open.
"Sanji. Your nose is bleeding."
"Ahn~~~ I just can't help it! You're so amazing!"
You giggled. This was the Sanji you knew - hearts in his eyes and his fawning words. You hugged him, planting a kiss on his cheek. He swooned.
"So... maybe, do you want to go on a date later?" you asked in his ear. His nose bled more, and you started laughing.
"I'll take that as a yes. Now give me the baby den-den mushi so I can call the Sunny so someone can come get us out of here. I'm getting kind of hungry."
That snapped him back to his senses.
"You're hungry? My love, I will make you only the best food!"
"Thanks babe but we need to get out of here first"
"Of course! Anything for you! Hold onto my neck" he instructed, holding your body bridal style. He stood, and your arms wrapped around his neck. You felt his balance shift, before a vicious kick to the door sent it flying off its hinges and crashing into the far wall of the slim alley.
You looked at the door in shock before looking at him. He shrugged, a blush coloring his cheeks.
"It was a good excuse to spend time with you"
You laughed loudly, hiding your face in his chest.
"Lets go back to the Sunny, lover boy" you teased. He looked like he was desperately concentrating on not getting a nose bleed, and managed to smirk at you instead.
"Of course, my love"
Tumblr media
Ace (slightly suggestive, angst if you squint)
"You have got to be fucking kidding me" you hissed, letting your head thud against the door.
"In my defense, he left his plate unsupervised"
"It was a REAR ADMIRAL! You and your stupid shirtless torso got us in trouble AGAIN!"
"Hey! I'm proud to wear the old man's jolly roger!"
"I am too, Ace! But sometimes we need to be subtle around Marines!"
Ace sighed heavily.
"You like that I'm shirtless though" he teased. You stubbornly kept your gaze on the door, fiddling with the broken mechanism as your blush ran wild.
"Shut up and see if you can open the damn door" you muttered. He reached around your waist, but immediately retracted his fingers once he brushed against it.
"Sea prism stone" he hissed. You thudded your forehead harshly against the door. Why the hell is sea prism stone in a storage room door??
"Once we get out of here, you're fucking dead" you hissed.
"I'd prefer if I was just fucking" he joked. You glared at him, reigning in your indecent thoughts. You sighed heavily.
"Yeah, well, me too. Now call for help on the baby den-den mushi. Hopefully someone can find us before you get too hungry again" you ordered. He quickly dug it out and reported the situation, along with a rough set of directions. You turned to face him, studying him. You knew now why he was the second division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates- he quickly could take stock of a situation, plan, and escape or fight. He recognized his surroundings and could communicate them to others, but was also incredibly strong and a great fighter. You didn't realize you were staring until he met your gaze after ending the call.
"What? Like what you see?" he said with a smirk. You shrugged.
"I think there's a lot to you that you don't show people. You're lighthearted and funny, but you have a lot of... hmmm... depth? Yeah. I was completely lost following you around, but you got the general location, and reported all the necessary details, including the sea prism stone. You're kinda impressive"
He blinked at you, a blush tinging his tanned cheeks red as you talked, and a humble smile curving his lips.
"Thanks. I guess" he mumbled. You nodded. He shuffled his feet a little, and jolted when his boot kicked an overturned bucket. He ran a hand through his black hair.
"Mind if I sit down?" he asked. You shook your head, knowing he could fall asleep at any given moment, and you really didn't want him to fall on you. He took a seat on the bucket, but his knees knocked into yours, and you pitched forward with a small yelp. Warm hands caught you easily around your waist.
"Whoops" he said, grinning. Your breath hitched. The two of you were nearly nose to nose... if you just...
"Looks like you'll have to sit in my lap." He maneuvered your body so you were sitting sideways in his lap, his knees spread so you were balanced perfectly.
"T-thanks" you stuttered. He hummed an affirmative.
"Ace?"
He looked at you, a smile playing at his lips.
"I... I understand why you're the second division commander. And... I'm happy you are"
He tilted his head curiously.
"Where's this coming from?"
"I... I dunno. I just feel like you need to hear it sometimes."
You felt him stiffen at your words before he relaxed with a chuckle and held you closer in a hug.
"'s why I like you, ya know"
Your heart thudded, and your breath hitched. For a second, it sounded like he was saying he liked you. Romantically. But you shook your head. The two of you were friends, and that's probably all he would see you as.
"You like a lot of people" you said, shrugging as if your own words didn't make your heart clench with loneliness.
"Sure. But..." he sighed, and you could feel tension seeping into his body again. He felt warmer, as if he was trying not to catch on fire.
"I don't like them the same way I like you..." he muttered quietly. He started nervously babbling as you stared at him, incredulous.
"I know you won't ever see me the same way, but for our friendship, you know... it's only fair that I tell you so I can get over these feelings. But god. Fuck. You're just so... amazing. Strong. You make me laugh, and make me fucking weak. I love you, more than a friend. I'm made of fire but damn if you don't ignite something in me. I love you in a way I've never experienced before and it's so scary because I know there's no hope but-"
You cut him off with a hand tilting his head towards you, and swiftly covering his lips with yours. He tasted like the smell of heat, his lips were chapped, and he didn't kiss you back. But you knew why. You pulled back with a smirk, sliding your hand back to tangle your fingers in his black locks. You couldn't help the giggle at his blank, shocked expression.
"Kiss me back, firefly. I love you too."
This time, at the pull of your hand, he met you halfway. He took control of the kiss, kissing you desperately like he was making up for lost time. His large, warm hand cradled your jaw. You broke the kiss eventually when you started laughing giddily. He started peppering tiny kisses all over your face and down your neck.
"Remember earlier how I said you'd be fucking dead once we got out of here?"
"Mmmhmm"
"Do you remember what you said in reply?"
"...huh? Oh. Yeah"
"Well, once we get out of here, you can show me what you can do, cowboy"
He gazed at you, eyes wide with wonder. Without another word, he picked you up bridal style, and launched a vicious kick at the door. It went flying into the far side of the wall of the alley, and he staggered a little from the sea prism stone, but quickly darted out of the closet. He quickly put you down and then picked you up so you were on his back. He sprinted past part of the crew that was obviously on their way to find you, shouting quickly over his shoulder that you were both fine now.
You could only wave and laugh at their bewildered looks as he carried you away.

PERIOD COMFORT FIC
Law x f!crewmember
Can be read as either platonic or romantic.
Y’all it’s that time again and I would ask him to do this for me. I’m dying.
TW’s: period talk, organ removal, medicine, pain, talk of gore(?), no use of Y/N.
Unedited drabble. Enjoy my fellow freaks.
———
“Law… can I ask you to do something really weird?”
He scowled up at you, textbook in front of him forgotten. You saw pictures of plants but a wave of pain made you clench your teeth and shut your eyes.
“What is it?” He asked cautiously. You were slightly hunched over, and trying to suppress shivers of pain. He stood, walking around his desk and put his hand on your shoulder to steady you. It took a few moments before you were able to speak confidently again.
“You know I’m female, right?” You said awkwardly. Law rose one brow, guiding you to sit in the chair behind you.
“…yes?” He said, wondering where on earth you were going with this.
“And you know females have periods?”
He tilted his head at your question.
“Yeah? Are you in pain?” He asked tentatively. He leaned against his desk and didn’t try to keep you from balling up as another cramp seared through your abdomen and lower back. You blinked back tears.
A shaky hand reached out and gripped the hem of his shirt. His hand hovered over your wrist, pausing when you spoke.
“Law. Get this fucking uterus out of me and put it in a bath of lidocaine before I fucking do it myself” you gritted out. Both his eyebrows rose and he swallowed harshly. He didn’t respond, only raising a hand to spawn a blue dome.
“Room” his voice shook a little, but transported the two of you to the infirmary. You were sitting on an exam table, and Law was in front of you. He looked a little pale, but another wave of pain rocketing though your lower half had you curling up on the table as Law clattered around at the counter, opening packages and pouring certain liquids in a huge beaker. He flicked on the Bunsen burner to warm the liquid, and put the beaker on a tripod he put above the blue flame.
“You’re on birth control, right?” He asked over his shoulder. You wanted to snap at him, but didn’t have the energy.
“Yeah” you replied shortly. He flipped open a file, and he hummed.
“That kind should help immensely with cramps and pain. Most women even stop their period with it” he muttered.
“Well obviously that’s not the fucking case with me, is it?” You couldn’t help but retort. He only glanced at you as you curled back up with a whimper. You heard some glass tapping against each other as he checked the temperature of the bath he was preparing.
“Okay. Try to lay flat on the table” he instructed. You hissed in pain but managed to put your back flat on the table with your knees bent.
“Straighten your legs. It’ll only hurt for a second” he said clinically. You glared at him but followed instructions. He cast his Room again, and removed your uterus. The jelly-like substance around it was clear, and you looked at your organ. It was only as big as your fist.
“How can something so small cause so much pain?” You huffed out. You saw the muscles twitch and a wave of pain clawed through your abdomen. Your back arched as you gasped before you curled into the fetal position again.
Law said nothing as he gently placed the organ in the bath, adjusting the flame of the Bunsen burner so it wouldn’t get too hot. You felt the warmth cover your uterus, and you groaned in relief. Law turned back to you with a smirk.
“It isn’t a bath of lidocaine, but it’ll work well” he said. He seemed rather proud of himself. You held out a hand, and he walked closer. You gripped his wrist, and looked at him with tears shining in your eyes.
“Thank you” you whispered. He grunted, and looked away with flushed cheeks.
“You’re forbidden from doing that shit by yourself like you said you would” he said sternly. You smiled weakly at him, twitching as a faint pain went through your lower abdomen.
“Okay” you murmured. You yawned, and sat up. You were so tired from fighting the pain all day.
“I’ll go back to my duties now” you said.
“The hell you will” Law said firmly. You looked at him in surprise.
“Go rest. Read, sleep, draw, whatever you do. If we got by without you before, we can do it for the rest of the evening” he said. Your slight smile turned into a frown as you thought about his words.
“Then… you guys don’t really need me” you said sadly.
“What? No that’s not what I said. I meant- fuck. I mean… the crew cares about you and would want you to get some rest after fighting this all day, okay? We can handle it.”
You look up at him, tears building in your eyes.
“Are you sure? I’m not too emotional and worthless?” You asked in a wavering voice.
“What? Where did- no. You’re not too emotional and worthless. Let’s go get you settled in your bunk” he said gently. You nodded, and let your head fall with a slight ‘thunk’ on his chest. You felt the surgeon sigh, then rub his hands up and down your arms.
“C’mon. I’ll carry you” he said quietly. You nodded listlessly. He scooped you up so your legs were hanging over his arm and his other arm was cradling the back of your shoulders.
You closed your eyes, tears falling down your face as you gripped his shirt. He quickly carried you to the room you shared with Ikkaku, and opened the door with the hand under your knees. Ikkaku looked up from flipping through a magazine on her bunk, her duties done for the day. She looked concerned as soon as her eyes landed on you cradled in Law’s arms.
“What happened?!” She sat up quickly and watched as Law placed you on your bunk. She sat down at the foot of your bed.
“Period cramps” you muttered. The other woman winced in sympathy. She looked at Law.
“Did you give her meds?” She asked. Law shook his head.
“Her… organ is in the infirmary in a warm bath with meds in it” he said. His cheeks flushed as he referred to your uterus. Ikakku’s eyes lit up.
“You can do that?!” She said excitedly. Law groaned with a nod. He turned to leave.
“Take care of her” he said, opening the door. The woman nodded, looking at you. You smiled at her tiredly.
“Take a nap. I’ll see if there’s anything I need to help with” she left you in a darkened room, and you drifted off into the world of sleep.
———
Note: I actually looked this up and no I didn’t get an answer. I also couldn’t remember or find the name of his move where he removes an organ lol.

Kid x Reader x Killer angst to eventual comfort
Based off of my Brain Rot TM here
Tumblr media
Writing is my therapy and I experienced a sub-drop last night from audio stuff and didn't really have a Dom, so I had an anxiety/panic attack. ANYWAYS. Be careful out there, and communicate clearly.
TW's: Starts with consensual threesome smut, non-con elements, degradation, rough sex, anxiety attack, suggested sub-drop, GN reader
Notes: I spelled his name 'Kidd' even though I later learned it's 'Kid' so whoops lmao.
WC: ~5.6k
-----
You were nearly suffocating, but gods you loved it. One thick cock was fucking your cute, dripping hole, and the other cock was being rammed down your throat as you jerked forward from the crude thrusts behind you. One hand was holding you up by your handcuffed wrists, and another held a fistful of your hair to keep your head still. Your eyes rolled back as you gagged again around the cock in your throat, drool dripping obscenely down your chin and onto the mattress you were knelt on.
"What a fucking slut, huh Killer? Gonna stretch this lil hole 'till it's gaping" Kidd growled as he gave a particularly harsh thrust behind you. Killer grunted in agreement.
"Look at 'em. Gagging and crying on your cock because it deserves to cry, to barely be able to breathe as we take our fuckin pleasure. Nothing but holes to me."
Kidd continued to talk, degrading you. His voice was deep and hoarse, belying his pleasure. Your shoulders were aching from being held up for so long, but not enough to use the signal to end things. Kidd's thrusts became harder as he yanked you back against his cock, and you felt something in your shoulder pop. Pain bloomed in your shoulder, and though you knew nothing had torn and nothing was broken, it would be soon.
You tried to snap your fingers a few times, but they were too squished in Kidd's grip. You were beginning to panic, and you tried to speak but could only get out a gurgled moan.
"Stay still, bitch- or do I have to teach you a lesson? Need this hole filled until it's overflowing. Nothing but a fucking pocket pussy to us. Pathetic little thing. Please us or we'll dump you" he growled.
You needed to do something. Anything to get out. You tried turning your head, and only succeeded in scraping your teeth against Killer's dick, and he yanked back with a hiss. His cock was removed fully, and you raspily called out the safe word.
"Red"
Killer paused.
"What did you say?" he sounded concerned.
Kidd only shoved your face into the mattress. Something in your neck and shoulder clicked painfully, and you cried out a little.
"Pocket pussy's don't get to speak" he growled. Killer pushed Kidd from your back roughly.
"Speak" the blond ordered to you.
"Red" you whispered, tears now flowing from your eyes for a different reason.
"Okay okay, we're done. Kidd. We're done." Killer spoke firmly to his partner, who was still slowly thrusting in your sore hole. Kidd scoffed, and brought down a hand harshly on your ass, and you jerked forward, off his dick.
"Pathetic."
Kidd gathered a wad of spit in his mouth before spitting it on your ass as you laid there, shaking and crying.
Killer brought his fist up and slammed it across the redhead's face, knocking him off the bed.
"Get out and go cool off" he ordered. Kidd rammed a fist through the wooden floor, and you flinched, breath becoming erratic. You couldn't move. Your head was fuzzy, and all you knew is that you did something bad. He hurt you, and you were bad. The mattress rocked as Killer pushed off the bed and there was a rustle of cloth.
"Get out!" Killer opened the door, and you heard heavy foot falls before the door was slammed shut and locked. At the slam of the door, you flinched and wrapped your hands around your head, curling into the fetal position. Your fists gripped your hair, pulling at it and scratching at the scalp. Your body tensed with each footstep approaching you.
"Hey, baby" Killer spoke softly in his deep voice. You tensed, readying your body as if to ward off any berating words. You were hyperventilating, tear flowing onto the mattress.
"Can I hold your hand?"
You shook your head, not believing you were worthy of any affection. But you couldn't speak.
A soft, fluffy blanket draped over your naked body, shaking like a leaf in the wind as your chest worked rapidly.
"Kick it off if you get too hot. I'm going to lay down next to you and I'm going to breathe. You're going to do your best to follow, okay? Can you speak?"
You managed to shake your head at his question. You couldn't speak. Your voice wouldn't come out, and you couldn't even get yourself to move enough to open your mouth.
"Okay. Put your hand on your chest so you can follow my breathing."
You whimpered, curling into yourself. Why can't I move? Why am I being so bad. I can't- I can't-.
"Can you move your arm?"
You shook your head, starting to sob harder.
"Hey, hey. Okay. You're here. You're okay. Can I move your hand for you? It'll just rest on my chest and then I'll keep it there."
You nodded, grateful that he was willing to help someone- no, something- like you. Rough, calloused hands gently pried one of your hands away from your hair, and held it. His hand was warm. He moved your hand to his chest, right over his heart. Your shaking hand and body resisted his kindness, but he slowly moved your arm.
"There. Okay? Now I'm going to breathe deeply in.... and out. Can you feel that?" Your arm moved up with the inflation of his lungs, and sank back down with the exhalation. You nodded, hiccupping breaths catching in your throat.
"Okay, now follow me. Ready?" He began breathing in deeply, and you tried to choke down the bucking of your lungs to follow his instructions. I can't be bad. I'll be hurt.
"Good. You're doing so good for me. Keep going."
His hand kept your on his chest, over his heart until you could breathe deeply with him.
"Good job, you did so well. Can I hold you now?"
You nodded, needing to feel protected. He moved quickly to wrap his arms around you, your hand still on his chest as he brought his forehead to yours. At some point, he had removed his helmet.
"Oh sweetie, you did so well saying the safeword. I'm glad you told us."
You began crying and sobbing at his words.
"...i'm sor-r..." you tried to speak, but it burned your throat to do it while crying. Killer pulled your body closer, one hand on the back of your head as he tucked your head under his chin.
"Don't apologize, little one. You did so good. You did everything right. Are you hurt?"
You curled into him, letting yourself cry. Your shoulder still ached, and your neck hurt to move too much. You nodded slightly, your sobs shaking your shoulders as you made a fist against his chest.
"When you feel ready, I need you to show me where, okay?" Killer eased his grip on your body, but stroked your hair as you cried into him. You don't know how much time had passed when your tears finally began to cease.
"...i'm sorry..." you managed to whispered. Killer hummed soothingly in his large chest.
"You're okay sweetie. You did so well. You did everything right" he soothed you. You pulled back from him, and tried to look up at him but flinched as your neck flared in pain. You sucked in air between your teeth as your eyes slammed shut in pain.
"Does your neck hurt?"
You whispered an affirmative.
"Anywhere else?"
"...shoulder" you murmured, eyes squeezed shut. Your body was starting to shake again as you admitted your injuries. Killer's calloused hand trailed lightly over your neck and shoulder.
"Thank you for telling me, hon. Is it muscle pain?" he asked softly. You managed a slight nod.
"Okay. Your muscles have cooled off now so lets run a bath to help with the ache, okay? C'mon. Let's get you cleaned up."
You held onto him as he started to rise, and he paused, looking down at you curiously.
"You okay?"
Tears brimmed your eyes again as you spoke.
"You didn't finish. Neither did.. he."
Killer chuckled a little, and cradled your jaw in his hand.
"You're so sweet to worry about that. I'm perfectly fine. So is Kidd."
He looked down at you confidently, and it eased your fears.
"If you need to use me later..." you murmured unthinkingly.
"Hey. No. No. That's not how this works. We love and care about you, and no matter what we say in bed, that will never change. Your boundaries always come first, no matter what. You're hurt from this time, and Kidd went way too far. He's at fault here, and he knows it. You're way more than a thing to us. We love you, as a person. As a being. You're everything to me. To us."
The tears that were brimming fell down your cheeks, and you held your arms out to him.
"I'm sorry" you murmured. He picked you up easily, one arm stabilizing your neck gently and the other scooping you up under your butt. You made a sound at the movement, your hole sensitive and bruised.
"Don't be sorry, baby. I'm sorry. I should've noticed you couldn't signal if you needed to stop" he murmured back. You whined at his apology.
You let him carry you to the connecting bathroom. He sat you down on the toilet as he went to fill the tub.
"Cmon. I know you gotta go. I know you're shy about it so I'm going to turn around and watch the bath while I cover my ears, okay?"
You quickly relieved yourself and patted your poor hole dry from the wetness from earlier. You stood yourself on shaky legs and flushed. Killer turned at your movement, and wrapped you in his arms before you toppled over.
"Let's get in the bath, okay?" you hummed an affirmative, your neck really starting to ache. He stepped into the hot water, easing you down with him. You hissed at the temperature on your abused hole, but quickly moaned in relief. You were more sore than you thought.
"Good, doing so good for me" Killer soothed as you shifted in his lap. He grabbed a nearby wash cloth and dipped it in the water, wringing it out over your neck and injured shoulder. You hummed as the heat soothed the pain a little. You yawned, exhausted from your panic.
"Lemme take care of you. Don't gotta worry 'bout a single thing with me 'round, okay?" a light kiss tickled your temple and you hummed an affirmative, drifting off into a doze as Killer ran the washcloth over your body, cleaning you of your tears and sweat.
You groaned in displeasure as he picked you up from the cooling water and he chuckled a little.
"I know but you'll be warm soon enough"
You huffed at him and in response, he wrapped you in a fluffy towel, drying you off as you sat on the edge of the tub.
"Killer..." you muttered his name, trying to thank him, but another thought struck you instead.
"Hmm?"
"Does he not like me anymore?" tears welled in your eyes again, and you looked down at your boyfriend as he knelt in front of you. He pulled you into a hug, cradling your head gently into his neck.
"That's not it. I don't know why he acted so awful. I know how much he cares about you. He loves you. I love you. Okay?"
You sniffled.
"I love you too" you mumbled. Killer kissed your cheek, and pulled back with his hand cradling your jaw. You leaned in to kiss him on the lips chastely. You pulled back, wincing as the movement made your shoulder and neck hurt.
"Let's get you dressed and into bed. I'll get you some pain medication too."
He picked you up and carried you to the bedroom, setting your pliant body on the bed. You sat on the edge, staring at the wall and starting to zone out.
Why did he do that? He... He didn't stop. He spat on me and called me pathetic. Killer had to punch him to get him off the bed. Is he okay? What if he had a crash too?
Soft fabric slid against your bare thighs, distracting you from your thoughts. Killer looked up at you with his piercing blue eyes, curious. You noticed he had put sweats on finally.
"Whatcha thinkin' about?"
You sighed.
"What if he also had a... crash?" you asked. Killer sighed, and put the shirt over your head. He guided your arms through the sleeves as he spoke.
"If he did, he would need to be alone. It's how he is" he answered thoughtfully. You hummed, noticing Killer put one of his own old shirts on you.
"Is it weak to need help when I have a-"
"No."
Killer cut you off firmly before you finished. He cupped your cheeks in his large hands, holding your teary gaze.
"You're not weak. You're so strong for telling us to stop when you were in pain and when it was really hard for you to. It's not pathetic, like Kid called you. You are amazing, truly" he kissed your forehead gently, and a single tear slid down your cheek. His thumb wiped it away quickly. You sniffed, bringing the hand of your uninjured side to cover the back of his hand.
"Thank you" you whispered. He smiled softly.
"You're welcome. There's some pain meds and a glass of water on the bedside table, and I know Kid keeps some muscle cream in here somewhere. Let's get your neck and shoulder taken care of, okay?"
You shuffled yourself back painfully towards the head of the bed. You never realized just how much you used your neck and shoulder muscles. Killer met you with the water and pills, and you took them quickly. He took the empty glass and put it on the bedside table before opening a tube of cream he procured while you were choking down the pills. He swept stray hair out of the way and gently massaged the cream into your sore muscles. The cream had a strong menthol smell and had a strange burning yet cooling sensation on the skin.
"Good. That should start to feel better tomorrow" he said, recapping the tube. He wiped his hands off on your discarded towel and helped ease you into the blankets. He went around the room, turning off the lights before crawling into bed next to you, spooning you from behind. He littered kisses on your head and the back of your neck, making you giggle a little.
"Hmmmm there ya are. Go to sleep now. Ya need it" he said gently. You sighed.
"I know... you need to go see if he's okay to stop worrying. But can you wait until I'm asleep?"
His arms tightened around you.
"Of course."
With the promise, you drifted off to sleep quickly, exhausted.
---
You woke to the sound of rustling clothes as someone got dressed. You sighed heavily, turning over and immediately regretting your movement. Pain bloomed through your neck and shoulder, making you wince and groan.
"Mornin', sweetie. How ya feelin'?" Killer's gravelly morning voice soothed your annoyance at being in pain so soon after waking up. You hummed in response. You heard his footsteps walk to your side of the bed, and your eyes opened. The sun was shining from behind him, illuminating his hair like an aura around his body. He looked like he was glowing. You smiled at him dreamily.
"You're so pretty" you murmur. Killer let out a scoff but was obviously pleased at your compliment. He leaned over you, one arm holding some of his weight by your side. His lips pressed to your cheek in a dramatic, drawn out kiss that you've only seen him do a few times behind closed doors. Usually it was used to turn Kidd into a blushing, yelling mess. You giggled at the feeling.
"Ya still hurtin?" he asked, looking down at you. He looked concerned, and even hesitant to ask. The memories of last night came flooding back, and your smile died.
"Yeah" you answered eventually. He stood and rummaged around your bedside table.
"Here, lemme put the cream on before you take the pain meds" he said softly. You eased your head to the side so the injury was exposed to Killer's expert fingers. His warm digits were soon smearing and massaging the muscle cream gently into your skin.
"How's... he?" you asked quietly. You weren't sure you wanted to even talk about him before you've had even a coffee, but you still needed to know if he was alright. Killer sighed.
"Hmm. 'bout how'd ya expect. He just about wrecked his workshop last night in a fit but he's about as okay as you'd think this morning."
You closed your eyes at the news, saddened that he was so angry at you.
"'m sorry" you mumbled. Killer's fingers pulled back from your neck, and he gently turned your face towards him.
"He's not mad at you, he's angry at himself. He can't stand the fact that he hurt you, that he let it get to that point. And you know Kidd, if he's angry at himself, it takes him a lot longer to get through it, let alone over it. I'm keeping an eye on him though, so don't you worry."
You frowned at his words.
"Then who's taking care of you?"
Killer smiled and let out a chuckle. His hand stroked your hair back from your face and he planted a kiss on your forehead.
"It helps me to take care of you two, okay? Last night was... a little scary. But we're going to be okay."
You sighed, wishing you could nuzzle into his broad chest, but you knew he had to make sure the ship was running properly despite the captain being... preoccupied.
"Okay" you murmured quietly. He gently stroked your hair and smiled at you.
"C'mon. Let's get ya up and some food in ya" he said, reaching down to scoop you up. You eagerly wrapped your arms around his neck and let him pull you out of your cozy blankets. He helped you get dressed in some loose fitting clothing, and a shirt with a wide neck so your injury would be accessible. Before you left the room, you hesitated.
"Is he going to be in the kitchen?" you asked meekly.
"Nah. I brought him some food earlier in his workshop. He'll be there most the day probably" Killer answered. There was a whisper of regret in his voice, and you grabbed his hand and squeezed once, reminding him that he wasn't alone..
"Let's go then" you said, opening the door. Killer squeezed your hand back, and followed you to the kitchen.
You ate and drank your coffee, favoring the one shoulder and unable to turn your head very much. Your crewmates gave you some curious glances, but it wasn't uncommon for someone to be injured on the ship. You were pirates, after all. It was odd though that it was you. Kidd and Killer were the strongest fighters on the ship, and couldn't help but watch over you on the battle field. You finished your breakfast, visited the loosely termed "infirmary" to grab some pain pills, and then headed to your favorite space on the ship- the mouth of the... sea king? dinosaur? You weren't entirely sure which it was, and you never were invested enough to ask. The weather was sunny, calm, and breezy.
You sighed as you settled into a chair that was placed there earlier. Someone walked up behind you, and cleared his throat. You froze, scared it was Kidd.
"What."
"Killer told me to bring you a book and some snacks, so here" Heat spoke. At the sound of his voice, you relaxed, and waved your hand on the non-injured side.
"Come on this side so I can see you" you said softly. Wire walked around, and placed a small, light table next to you, and put down a tray of various drinks, snacks, and a few books. He crouched down to the side of you, and you smiled at him.
"Thank you, Heat" you said. He smiled a little back at you.
"Do you need any company? Some of these snacks look pretty good" he said, eying the tray that Killer had put together for you. You giggled, thankful for the offer.
"Sure, just don't let Killer know that I let you eat some food he made for me," you teased. He made a face at your comment, and grabbed a slice of fruit. At first, his appearance made you uncomfortable, but his personality quickly overcame that. He wasn't much of a conversationalist, but you still found him endearing.
"So where are ya hurt?" he asked around a mouthful of fruit. You picked up a glass of what appeared to be juice and sipped.
"Neck and shoulder muscles" you answered after swallowing and smacking your lips appreciatively.
Heat grunted.
"Ugh. Done that before. It seems that like you never realize how much you use certain muscles until it hurts to use it, right?"
You snorted.
"Pretty much."
The two of you chatted a little longer before he was called off to do his tasks. Hip took his place instead, bringing you an ice pack.
"Here, Killer told me to bring you this" she said. You took the ice pack and placed it on your injury. You sighed with a sudden realization.
"Killer set up a roster to keep me company all day, didn't he?" you asked. She nodded with a smile.
"Can't stop caring about someone ya love" she quipped. You rolled your eyes with a smile.
"Very true" you murmured.
The day passed similarly, various crew members bringing you things that Killer had sent along with them. Honestly, you even had to stare some down so you could go to the bathroom alone.
Your thoughts strayed constantly to Kidd, and how he must be feeling. You felt so conflicted. You loved him, yet you knew he went too far, but were you mad? Scared? Was your trust in him damaged?
Footsteps walked up behind you, heavier than the rest. You tensed.
"It's just me" Killer said. You relaxed, and he knelt in front of you.
"How ya feelin?" he asked. You could feel him staring at your neck and shoulder, even when his mask covered his bright blue eyes.
"It's starting to feel better now" you said quietly. Killer nodded once.
"Dinner's ready, if you want to eat" he offered. You nodded slightly and stood. He grabbed the table with the tray and books in one hand, balancing the table like a waiter would a tray. He put a hand on your lower back, and walked with you to the kitchen. It was a little later than you normally ate, having been fed snacks most the day by Killer's 'messengers'.
There was a plate set aside for you at the counter so you could watch Killer clean, just as you liked. A second steaming plate was still in the kitchen, presumably set aside for Kidd.
"Are you going to run that up to him?" you asked, looking pointedly at the plate. Killer grunted an affirmative, and started to clean the kitchen.
"Go give it to him now while it's still hot. The kitchen will still be here when you get back," you said firmly. Killer looked at you, presumably in surprise at your tone. You couldn't always tell when he had his face covered all the time. He put down the cloth he was using to wipe the counters, and grabbed the plate, walking around the counter to approach you. He cocked his head, curious. You looked down at your own plate with a sigh.
"He needs the energy to work up the courage to apologize to me, we all know how he is" you mutter. Killer laughed at your statement, and ruffled your hair gently before walking off to deliver the plate of food.
A few minutes later, you heard approaching footsteps behind you. This wasn't uncommon, as crew members dropped their empty plates off at the counter for whoever was on dish duty to wash. These were heavy, but you assumed someone had already had a few drinks after a long day of being at sea. They stopped suddenly a few feet away from you, and you gently turned your head to see what had happened.
You had fully expected to see one of your crewmates swaying with drunkenness, but instead, bright red and pale skin made your heart drop.
"You're here" Kidd said gruffly. Adrenaline shot through you, and you jumped out of your chair, wincing as your injury was tweaked. Your breath seemed to stop, and you froze after your initial reaction. You couldn't decide to run towards him or away.
"K-Killer went to find you" you answered, mentally kicking yourself for stuttering. His words from last night came back to you.
Pathetic.
Nothing but holes to me.
Please us or we'll dump you.
It deserves to cry, to barely be able to breathe.
Your breath came faster, and you desperately looked for an exit. You nearly jumped out of your skin when the door to the kitchen opened, Killer's voice entering before his body.
"I couldn't find the bast- oh. Oh." He put the plate on the counter in the kitchen and walked with even steps until he was in front of you, bending over to look directly into your eyes.
"Hey look at me. Are you ready for this?"
Your eyes flicked over his shoulder, to Kidd. He looked exhausted, angry, but not like he was going to do anything. Killer's voice soothed you slightly.
"M-maybe?" You frowned at how delicate your voice sounded. Kidd seemed to flinch at your answer. Killer put one hand on your cheek as the other removed his helmet.
"Look at me."
Your eyes found his ocean blue ones, and it calmed you a little. You noticed you were shaking. You breathed out forcefully.
"I can hear him out, if you stay here" you said honestly. You noticed Kid's flinch again, and your heart squeezed with guilt. Killer nodded, and stood to his full height to look at Kidd.
"Are you okay? Are you ready?" Killer asked. Kidd heaved a sigh, scrubbing a hand over his face.
"...Yeah"
Killer nodded once, and gestured for the two of you to sit at a table. The rest of the crew had cleared out quickly once Kidd entered the room and the tension rose.
The three of you sat at the table, Killer making you sit at the head of the table with Kidd on your uninjured side and Killer taking the seat across from Kidd.
You were tense, sitting on the edge of your seat, but Kidd seemed... defeated. He was exhausted, and slumped into his chair. He put his head in his hands, fingers running through red hair before he looked at you. You held back a flinch.
"I hurt you" he started bluntly. You glanced at Killer, who was looking resolutely at Kidd. Your hand came up to touch your neck and shoulder, looking at the table. You didn't say anything.
"I'm so fucking sorry. God, there's no words for how sorry I am. I'd do anything or give you anything for you to look at me the same. Hell, I'd cut my other arm off if that's what you wanted. I just can't..." He stopped speaking with a choked sound, and looked at you desperately.
"You need to earn that same trust back, Kidd" you said quietly. He was silent, waiting for you to continue. You looked up from the table to meet his gaze.
"And right now, I don't know how we're going to do that. I don't have any ideas, but you can't buy it with present. I still love you, but you need to prove over and over to me that you love me, and that you'll never hurt me again" you said. Anger started to bubble up in your chest.
"I don't think you can say anything like you did, at least for a long, long time. Calling me 'it', that I didn't deserve to breathe, and that you two were going to dump me if I didn't please you... Kidd. I can't hear shit like that from you. Calling me pathetic and spitting on me when I said the safe word?" Tears welled up in your eyes as you spoke, recalling his words and actions. Your fists clenched on your lap.
Kidd deflated even further with each word you spoke, and at the sight of tears in your eyes.
"I know. I know there isn't a way to change that, and if there was, I'd give up almost anything to change it. You and Killer mean everything to me. I'm hardly worthy of your love even when I haven't pulled some shit like this, but now... I'll prove it. I swear. I... I love you so much."
He pulled something out of his pocket, and you looked at his hands. He let out a wet chuckle.
"I know you said that I can't buy your trust, but I made this. It took me all night and I finished it up today. I hope you'll still accept it."
You looked in shock at the metal in his hand. It was a highly intricate, functioning, anatomically correct heart. There were tiny whirrs and clicks that acted like the sound of a heartbeat, the two sides contracting.
"It even works like a real heart. You can put liquid in there and it'll shoot out here," he said, pointing with his fingers. He paused.
"That sounds fucking stupid now that I say it out loud" he admitted. Killer had leaned forward to get a better look at the contraption. His eyes glittered at the sight of it, taking in the mechanics and how it worked. It was truly incredible. You reached a shocked hand out towards it before pulling back.
"Kidd..." you whispered.
"I'm finishing up Killer's too, and I was going to give it to the two of you at the same time but... I think you deserve this at the very least" he admitted. Breath caught in your throat, tears starting to build in appreciation. Kidd was horrible with words and emotions, but he knew metal. He knew exactly how hard he needed to work to regain your trust.
"It's 'pose ta represent me... giving my... uh... heart... to you. And Killer... as a promise," he tripped over his words, a deep blush flushing his pale face until he was nearly as red as his hair. You looked at him, letting the tears fall.
"Oi oi, do you not like it? I can change it! Just tell me! Why are you crying?" he frantically waved his metal arm in the air uselessly, trying not to reach out to touch you. You reached out to his flesh hand, covering the heart with your hand as you grasped his hand.
"It's beautiful, Kidd. I love you," you whispered. He blushed even harder, and looked down at the table.
"I love the both of you. I'm really fuckin' sorry about last night" he said quietly. You looked at Killer, who nodded in encouragement. The both of you stood, and made your way to the redhead.
You turned your back to him, moving your hair out of the way so he could clasp it.
"Put it on, then" you ordered. Kidd made a surprised sound and you heard Killer's hand clap on his shoulder. Kidd rose hesitantly, and draped it gently around your neck before using his powers to clasp the necklace. It hurt your neck too much to look down at it lying against your chest, so you brought it up to eye level, studying how the gears turned, hidden by crafted and intricate tubes and wires.
"It's incredible" you murmured. You turned around, letting yourself fall into Kidd's chest as you hugged him. You could feel him looking at Killer for permission, who rolled his eyes and hugged him too, careful of your neck and shoulder. You felt Kidd's arms wrap slowly around the both of you. The moment was sweet, but was interrupted by a loud growl from Kidd's stomach. You snorted and broke out into peals of laughter, pulling away from Kidd and Killer. You collapsed back into your chair, holding your stomach as Kidd growled at you to stop laughing as he blushed profusely again. Killer laughed as well as he went to retrieve and warm up both Kidd's and your plates.
Kidd sat back down in his chair with a huff, more energized after the hug. You smiled at him, before speaking seriously.
"Kidd... I can't forgive you yet, but I will eventually."
He ran a hand through his hair, looking at you sadly.
"Yeah. I'm a bastard, but I'm trying not to be to you. Just... let me know when you do?" he asked quietly. You nodded with a small smile, and his shoulder's collapsed as if a weight had been lifted off. He gave you a toothy grin.
"Just you fuckin wait. Imma be the the best boyfriend that'll build your trust up in no time" he boasted. You snorted before giggling.
"I can't wait" you said, honest through your laughter.
