Amber Stolas, Tiefling Rogue - Seemingly the sole survivor of a powerful nation that was reduced to dust only a year ago. The kind of rogue that is all skill with no social skills.

Aqua Kadelaryn, Half-Elf Barbarian - An eccentric warrior from a seaside nation. She enthusiastically murders animal abusers in sadistic and gory ways. Kinda dim, though her stats claim she isn't supposed to be.

Arora Nyx, Elf Summoner - A talented if naïve mage hailing from what is essentially a magically teleporting nomadic hippie commune. She and her panther-like eidolon Nyx are inseparable, mostly because they share the same braincell.

"Bushmagic", Human Monk Druid - A... strange, terse fellow with a deep love of animals. Has an enchanted elephant companion and aspirations of godhood. Looks like a monk, acts like a monk and calls himself a monk despite definitely being a druid.

Amber's player (my wife) is the only one with any tabletop experience, the others are complete newbies and its been very fun showing them the ropes. So far the party has remodeled a tavern basement, been arrested, crashed through castle doors on the back of a frightened pachyderm, accidentally delivered sugar free chocolate to a king and queen thus saving their troubled marriage, bought a scary sword from a sketchy goblin and tamed a flock of pigeons. I'm so proud of them.

Here is a very un-recent G-Max Falinks that in my infinite wisdom I never posted to my preferred platform. Very proud of them.

-

G-Max Unite (Fighting-Type Moves): A Fighting-type attack that Gigantamax Falinks use. This move raises all of the user's stats, but prevents switching.

Pokédex Entry (Sword): They do not know fear and subsist solely on victory. One such Falinks was tasked with defending Galar from certain doom long ago; the only proof of that battle was a crater that is now an ocean. Pokédex Entry (Shield): The veteran issues cunning orders beneath a burning flag of Gigantamax energy to the fortress of troopers it rides. No attack exists that can make it past their combined defense.

Hey uh... Does anyone have any idea why these little guys are being touted as a "new species" by news outlets lately? I feel like we've known about these guys for at least 3 or 4 years. Is it just another species with this particular pattern they're talking about? Or is this a bureaucratic thing where they only just got officially recognized as a species?

I can find reddit threads and posts like the one above dating back to 2019 or earlier using the same pictures in articles from this week.

Ascidiacea is a filter feeder. They’re characterized by a tough outer “tunic” made  of the polysaccharide cellulose. They’re found all across the world, mostly in shallow water. While they come in a variety of colours and patterns, these one were aptly named the “Skeleton Panda Sea Squirt,” by Dr. Michael Sweet, just in time for Halloween!

Just an update here, I recently got a new tablet and was working on something to show it off, but the pen got fucked up and now I need to order a new one. Due to that and getting used to a new career, I have not been super active, but I will be soon! (hopefully)
