I FINALLY FINISHED IT!!

Set during the Golden Trio’s time as students at Alfea.

He finds her crying on the floor of her suite, a pair of scissors on the ground next to her and her head held in her hands.

To his horror, blonde tresses lay next to the scissors, golden strands of hair littered the hardwood floors and tangled within the scissor blades.

“Farah…” Saul approaches her cautiously, the way he would an agitated animal, reaching a hand out to her, close enough to touch but giving her space.

She looks up at him then, eyes rimmed red and tear tracks along her pale cheeks.

“Why?” It was all he was able to say to her, his heart cracking at every wheezing breath she took and Farah shook her head furiously in reply.

“I deserve it,” she manages to whisper, the messily chopped strands of gold caught between her thin lips.

“Says who?”

She crawls to him then, and Saul immediately opens his arms, enveloping her in a warm embrace as she buries her face in the crook of his neck.

“Her,” she sobs loudly, clinging tightly to his sweater and Saul didn’t need to be a mind fairy to know who Farah was referring to.

He says nothing in reply, merely tightens his arms around her shaking form and presses a light kiss to the top of her head.

They stay on the floor for who knows how long, with nothing but the gold of Farah’s hair to keep them company.

Ok, I've had an idea bc I want to write some stuff. In the spirit of Halloween (pun completely intended) send a "trick or treat" to my inbox with a drabble prompt, plus characters or a ship, and I'll flip a coin to decide whether you get a treat (fluff) or a trick (angst) !!

Enough random notes that have a written story on them as environmental storytelling, explore the space, get crazier with it.

You move into a house and aw cute, it has the kids height on the walls but you notice there's a three foot difference in height between measurements, you check the date, they're a month apart. The final measurement is on the ceiling. It's dated two days ago.

You're part of a recovery team that have finally found a stranded ship, they were found too late and have all passed a long time ago. They all died of starvation. You enter their storeroom, it's filled with food. In the dining hall you find the tables laden with perfectly fine looking breads, cakes, cured meats, jams, candies. Your medic says all the people sitting at the table didn't eat a Thing.

You wake up in an apocalypse. You can't find anyone at all as you wander the streets but you do hear faint music playing from somewhere. You stumble into a supermarket, to see all the aisles still full, except for the shelf that was full of ear plugs, which look to be the only thing that was looted.

Like there's light, sound, props. Having a street where every house is decimated except for One. Landing on a planet known for having No Water and a plant is growing and you don't know where it could have possibly gotten moisture from but you can't find the citizens Anywhere.

I'm sorry, I'm just kinda over the "graffiti on the wall to show the bad guy is around". That's not environmental storytelling that's just normal story. Show me I'm in the villains territory by the rain suddenly cutting out above me as I'm driving, even though it's meant to be raining all night. I park the car and step out, and realise the constellations are Wrong, until I see they're Not constellations, they're the blinking lights of a massive ship-

I Will stop now because everytime I go to write a sentence it devolves into another prompt but I'm just saying we have a Lot of senses, engage them, show me the Environment in environmental storytelling.

I feel like I've complained about Tim's email situation in Gotham Knights before (edit: I have), but the truth of it is just so funny.

He's signed up for so many podcasts, video game streamers, and random news alerts; it's just a constant barrage of data going straight into his constantly whirring brain. Hell, he even floats the idea of the Batfamily having their own podcast as a way to correct misinformation about them (which Jason shoots down instantly), and it's made me realize something.

Timothy Drake would be a YouTuber.

In this universe specifically, Timothy Jackson Drake, the heir to Drake Industries and the foster son of the late Bruce Wayne would be a YouTuber.

Think about it. It'd be the perfect cover. Who would ever suspect that some 16-year-old nepo baby with a YouTube channel could ever be Red Robin? You'd have to be mad. I mean, look at him.

Red Robin just dropped out of literal thin air and garotted someone four times his size, and you expect anyone to believe that's the same kid who does 24-hour Minecraft charity streams and occasionally drops 6-hour video essays (his last one was on Lex Luthor's illegal bit mining operation on the moon)?
