The defintion of hell is knowing a show is incredibly well-received in its first season, but if people don’t become machines churning out tweets, content, and rewatching 24/7, there’s no likelihood it’ll get a chance to tell its whole story. This shit is madness. Shows in different genres shouldn’t have to pit-battle for dominance. First seasons are MEANT to be baselines establishing worlds and characters, not complete storylines. The idea that this golden age of television has turned into “get it done in one or get out” is revolting.

you don't understand how normal i am about the mario & luigi series' FIRST game featuring prince peasley, a character who not only remembers luigi's name, but chooses to forget mario's all while continuously treating luigi like the extra special one out of both the brothers

like. this game emphasized the whole "haha luigi's a loser" mentality nintendo rly latched onto. in the start of this game he is repeatedly being forgotten and belittled and dragged along this way and that

and then all of a sudden this PRINCE shows up and starts giving luigi all this special attention like? AH. the idea that luigi's self esteem is already so low and then all of a sudden he's having roses thrown in his lap, nicknames given to him, and thanks/compliments left and right

not to mention the. ahem. butt stabbing scene...

and the aforementioned deliberate choice of words on peasley's part when referring to mario. he recognizes that luigi is hardly referred to by name and extends that kind of lack of recognition to MARIO instead of luigi, for once!

and luigi reciprocates hardcore! 

he starts greeting/saying goodbye to peasley by waving his hat, blushing around him, collapsing to the floor and sobbing when peasley puts himself in a dangerous situation, and rushing to hug him at the end of the game

and there’s other little things: like how peasley is straight up winking as he goes to catch luigi from falling 

and in the remake, luigi keeps peasley's rose under his hat! 🥺

in conclusion: i think their relationship is really important for luigi's self esteem and character arc and more people should witness and recognize their very canonical romance. thank you. <3

so i gotta move for the third time in that many years. unfortunately between health problems and the General State of The Economy, I have been unable to find work to be able to save any money. i have no choice but to leave the entire state. i thankfully have somewhere to go, however I need help getting there. i've been trying to do the math to get what I need to its lowest amount possible, but even that is still at least $2.5k.

after this move, i should be able to get things more stable and I might even have a couple job prospects lined up in that area, but right now I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel funds wise and desperately need help.

😆💥 DUDE! Me and my brother were just reminiscing about Peter Piper's and their games and stuff. I was talking about the weird game they had about animatronic jungle animals. I think it was like a hunting game; it was hard to figure out if you shot the animal or not.🤖🙉

He said he couldn't remember, as did my other siblings. So I sketched the doodle of the arcade game I was talking about.

Me and my brother were the only ones who were crazy curious about what the game was called, but we couldn't find any traces of that game or even its name.

My brother gave me the idea to clean up the sketch a little and post it to see if anyone remembers this creepy game. As a kid, I thought it was kind of awesome, though.

who pointed out that that law is going to be a huge problem for disabled people and especially physically disabled people and people who use wheelchairs.

You guys were totally right. It is going to be a huge problem. It's shitty for disabled people, and furthers the unfortunate rising trend of disabled people being hurt in the name of environmentalism.

It also belatedly occurred to me that the law will suck for people with larger families and/or multigenerational households too. Both of which are things that correlate with class and race. After all, you need an SUV if you want to take more than five people anywhere in one car (legally and safely, anyway).

Tbh I'm esp like ://// at myself for not realizing this on my own because like.... I literally drive a disabled van sometimes for work. I literally rode in one the day I wrote the post and drove one the day after I wrote the post. Also, I'm disabled and spent several years of my life physically disabled with significant mobility limitations. And yet!!!!

My anger at increasingly mega oversized cars/trucks got to me (fuck Ford F-150s in particular!) and I totally didn't think through the implications.

So, yeah, my bad, and thank you again to the people who pointed that out in the notes!

Do you need a cheap good wheelchair?

Hello! I need to get rid of my old wheelchair, a Ki Mobility Catalyst 4. It's a good chair that served me well but it doesn't suit my needs anymore.

It has a 16w x 18d seat, removable footrests, fold back arm rests/clothing guards, 22" mag wheels, and a weight capacity of 250lbs. Folds easily, is decently light, and is a pretty sturdy chair.

The one problem is I'm using the back upholstery from this chair on my new one. New back upholstery is ~$115.

I can send it to anywhere in the lower 48 states if you pay for shipping, or I can deliver if we happen to be in similar parts of New England.

Cooking and baking

A small pet peeve of mine with cooking and baking is when recipes say the container rather than the amount

Like, instead of saying "500ml of cream" you say "a pot of cream". Or "a whole can of corn". Like okay which kind of can??? What amount???? Corn comes in more than one size you can't just tell me a can. PLEASE i am begging you tell me the WEIGHT

This is especially a problem with recipes from different countries, for example America. Because your stick of butter is different to our butter. STOP SAYING STICK OF BUTTER TELL ME THE QUANTITY IN GRAMS PLEASE I HAVE A FAMILY

that being said I feel like I see this crop up in like american recipes in particular. Idk if I've ever seen a recipe in one of our cookbooks that does this....

Hello! Welcome to QSMP ZINE! This is where we will be hosting an Egg-Centric, art and fic filled Zine based on the QSMP! Currently, I (stella @stellarumexp, hi hello!) am the only one working on this project, so apologies as updates and progress will probably be a bit slow! >-<

Some details! This zine will be a SFW zine focusing on all of the eggs from the QSMP (yes! Even those like Hope/Memories, A1, and Gegg!) My goal is for each egg to get their own section, filled with art and writings that focus on them (and that feature their friends and family too!)

It is also my goal to offer this zine in other languages - the QSMP is a global community after all! So keep an eye out if you are interested in working as a translator in the future! At minimum, I’d like to offer this zine in French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Korean; though if translators can be found for other languages I would be more than happy to offer further translations!

Currently I am looking for some fellow fans who want to help organize this zine. Organizing a project like this takes a lot, so the more people helping out the faster we can get the ball really rolling! So please reach out if you are interested in assisting, especially if you have experience making graphics (very important!) or if you have experience as a finance/shipping mod. (If a suitable finance/shipping mod is found, we would be able to offer an additional physical zine and physical merch options, with all profits going to charity!)

HELP ME OUT! ...please

theres something wrong with my dogs and I really don't know what. I'd help if someone maybe knew and gave me some suggestions on what to do, so I've decided to tell you guys.

So, my dogs, Quill and Drax, are basically brothers! They play together, sleep together, eat together.. But recently...Quill has started to growl and shake when Drax is around, and bark at him when he gets near. Quill always avoids drax, and always growls when he is around or when I'm around him. I REALLY DO NOT KNOW WHY! So this has been going on for maybe a week or so? I thought maybe it had something to do with "protecting his territory" or maybe if Quill is trying to show some sort of a domaine for his property...which is...me?

I really don't know, but it always happens randomly. And Quill becomes less social and hides from Drax! It couldn't be fear of Drax because Drax never did anything to Quill, never once hurt him or anything. I'm really confused on why this is happening and how it even started!

So it starts will Quill growling lowly, then Drax will start barking, and that leads to Quill growling and barking loud and intensely while looking at drax with peripheral vision, then running close to me and staying by me whilst shaking violently. I try to make Quill stop by force shutting his mouth closed, but he won't stop! I've tried intimation, telling him to stop, calling him a bad dog, but nothing works!

What is happening to my dog? I really don't know what to do...

Debts, Bills and Japanese classes

I have not had the best of starts for 2024, with issues regarding to payments I've had to help my mom with. To help her with them, I took a loan during January which allowed us to afford what we needed, with myself banking on my Redbubble account to generate enough during the month to pay it off this month.

Unfortunately, and unprecedentedly, my Redbubble account got nuked without prior warning, and when I tried to reach out to them I was only received by radio silence, as well as not getting any of my money.

Now, I did manage to pay off a part of what I owed, however, with March coming next week the deadline will be coming back soon again. To add on top of that there are some bills that we haven't been able to afford for in total, trying to make ends meet has been significantly taxing emotionally for a good while now.

As a side note, but still related financially, I should be signing up for my next semester of Japanese at the start of March, but due to Argentina's current economic situation and inflation rate the price of my classes have gone about double of what I originally paid last year. For long time I've struggled finding anything relatively fulfilling in my life, higher education wise, this is something that I don't want to stop doing, I finally have an end goal I wish to accomplish.

I cannot offer much in return for donations, other than offering myself for drawing commissions, or simple requests, or anything. But, I need to be honest and transparent both with myself and you all as well, I cannot promise a certain deadline to which I'd be able to deliver anything I'd draw.

I have been struggling since last year with this, over the same thing of getting small requests or commissioned to draw something, things that should have probably taken me a couple of days, maybe weeks at most has taken me months to complete. My personal life has completely demoralized me from having a set mentality for my art and in turn I've gone down a spiral of inactivity, even when I'm fully aware of the problem.

If, and only if, you're comfortable with this fact, and are willing to wait long enough for me to deliver then please, request something from me. I'll be just as grateful for donations as well, and even if you can't help me financially, I appreciate that you have taken your time to read through all of this, you could still help me out by sharing this post around.
