Went and saw welcome to night vale live yesterday! I don’t listen to the podcast anymore really, but I bought a ticket on a whim for nostalgia a couple months back, and I’m glad I did. I kept thinking about how cool this would’ve been for twenty-one year old me, I would’ve died to do that back in the day. It was a really fun throwback (and it hits different now that I live in Weirdass Desertville™)
I think the theme for the rest of 2023 should be “do shit/appreciate shit in 2023 that 2013 me would’ve died over having the privilege to do”
It's hilarious how I lowkey judged Chris for dating Raphael when my love life can be summarized as "area man obsesses over past situationship, gets so pissed he thinks he's finally over it, then goes straight back to the same person when they remember he exists again and use the right words when speaking to him". Like FRFR that's exactly how it went. Astarion nearly killed me the next day. :")
friend wanted to see my tumblr, and when i told him i can’t show it to him bc it’s basically my personal diary he went “oh so I can’t see it but a bunch of strangers on tumblr can??” he literally does not get me. no one will get me like the people in my phone get me
ngl, I'm beginning to take issue with how in conversations about anti-intellectualism almost automatically, the face of girls and women will be slapped on the problem.
I love being fully unaware of YouTuber drama and which channels are "popular." My first reaction at the start of that section was "who the hell is James Somerton"
The way Luz's thank you drawing got rejected by the person it was for when she thought she finally found someone who wouldn't make fun of her for her eccentric behavior, that she is worthless..and then the drawing does get recognized, that it's beautiful and why would it get thrown away. She was finally understood (I am in shambles help-)
