THE SALLY AND POSEIDON FLASHBACK SCENE MAKES THE SANTA MONICA SCENE SO MUCH MORE HEARTBREAKING BC YOU *KNOW* POSEIDON HAS BEEN WAITING FOR YEARS GO BE ABLE TO TALK TO PERCY. SO WHEN THE NAIAID SAID HE WAITED FOR AS LONG AS HE COULD, YOU KNOW POSEIDON TRULY DIDN’T WANT TO LEAVE. BUT PERCY DOESN’T KNOW THIS. AT LEAST NOT TO THE EXTENT THAT WE DO.
One thing I’m really looking forward to seeing is how they convince Percy not to join Luke. Up until the end of episode 4, Percy doesn’t have any faith in his dad or the other gods. He resents them all for abandoning their kids and doesn’t like their excuses. He is disgusted by how Athena treats Annabeth. He detests the whole claiming system and that the gods can just choose to claim them if they feel like it. And he is also being actively targeted by Zeus. What will be the turning point for him to not join Luke?
hypothetically, if a show had a character who got his girlfriend pregnant when they were teenagers and married her because of the catholic church and they spent majority of their married years not even in the same country and then she left him and their son so he moved them to another state and started a new life there but then his wife returned and they reconnected but then she died and years later he got a girlfriend but had panic attacks at the insinuation that they were married or that she was the mother of his son so they broke up and he got a new girlfriend some odd years later who happened to be an ex-nun which led to him not being able to ‘get it up’ for her and he uncovered a whole reservoir of catholic guilt he didn’t know he had and then he saw his dead wife’s doppelgänger in a store and he started an emotional affair with her because he was still trying to find someone to replace his dead wife and not finding someone for love oh and through all of that he was co-parenting his son with his male best friend, would it be fair to assume he’s queer?
