10 Cloverfield Lane was a good movie but I didn't like the aliens at the end. It felt like a but of a cop-out. I would have preferred if there really wasn't an apocalypse going on, just a small air raid or something that had passed quickly. Would have been more interesting.

AM (I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream)
"AM is a supercomputer created during the Cold War that gained sentience, ultimately using its powers to kill all of humanity except five people who it tortures for all eternity. When one of these individuals kills the other four to set them free from this torture, he is punished by being turned into a limbless, mouthless blob.
While AM’s torture of the five humans touches on other fears, the main fear it represents is the complete destruction of humanity by a tool humanity itself created, which is very much the theme of extinction."
Howard Stambler (10 Cloverfield Lane)
"A conspiracy theorist and survivalist who built a bomb shelter and kidnaps women to be substitutes to his daughter (who his wife took when she left him). He keeps Michelle in his bunker, insisting that aliens are destroying the world outside (which is correct, but he doesn’t actually know that and is using it as a pretense to control her), but when she rebels against him he tries to kill her. Represents the horrifying individualist suspicious selfish bullshit of doomsday prepares."
