I was pondering today ‘the things I miss about lockdown in Melbourne!’ This is my list so far! 1. I’m the only person (maybe one other) taking the tram 🚃 2. I could park anywhere on Chapel Street…at any time of day. 3. Regular home delivery of takeaway eg. Indian was always a good choice. 4. Getting out of bed every morning in a couldn’t give a f$&k kind of mood. 5. Long days in the park talking about life with a friend. 6. Being paid to attend several Zoom meetings and then onto preparing lunch at home. 7. Moments of quiet reflection contemplating life choices. 8. More “ME” time than you could shake a stick at! 9. Those early moments of Coronavirus watching TV where it felt like you where reliving an old 1950s Hollywood Sci-fi movie. 10. My daily takeaway coffee at the local which I drank while sitting in the sun ☀️ Do you have any moments from lockdown you’ll treasure? #lockdown #melbourne #flashback #onceinalifetimeexperience #neveragain #findingyourself #postivethinking #nevergiveup #morningcoffee #tramride #hollywoodsciencefiction #1950smovies #dailyzoommeeting More Info : https://linktr.ee/noelanderson https://www.instagram.com/p/CibUT68vRVV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Stanley Kubrick: As Captured by "Angeleno with a Camera"
By the way, Stanley's films are rated "R" and contain some artistic depictions of nudity. Viewer discretion is advised! Stanley Kubrick as captured by "Angeleno with a Camera" aka, Jessica Chortkoff! Come with me as I view Kubrick's famous touring exhibit! This is a fan video dedicated to Stanley Kubrick. I dedicate this work to Stanley, his family, and the many wonderful artists he has influenced! His career spanned what I consider to be the last true "Golden Age of Hollywood:" from the late 1950's into the early 1990s. The thing that made this trip so special was that I was allowed to bring my camera and take as many photos as I wanted! If you are a photographer who has been to a museum you know how RARE that is! As a result I learned SO MUCH from taking these photos! Here are some of my favorite Stanley Kubrick Quotes: "Writing, of course, is writing, acting comes from the theater, and cinematography comes from photography. Editing is unique to film. You can see something from different points of view almost simultaneously, and it creates a new experience." Stanley Kubrick "I think the big mistake in schools is trying to teach children anything, and by using fear as the basic motivation. Fear of getting failing grades, fear of not staying with your class, etc. Interest can produce learning on a scale compared to fear as a nuclear explosion to a firecracker." Stanley Kubrick "Perhaps it sounds ridiculous, but the best thing that young filmmakers should do is to get hold of a camera and some film and make a movie of any kind at all." Stanley Kubrick "If you can talk brilliantly about a problem, it can create the consoling illusion that it has been mastered." I don't know the date on this one, but Gene looks young here, so I'm thinking maybe the late 1930's? It's a lovely shot, though. He really was stunningly beautiful as a young man.

Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rear Window”
youtube
One of “Hitchcock’s Lost Films” until the reemergence in the 1980s. It’s so crazy to think that this (among a few others) could have been lost forever. Such an amazing film for so many reasons - seeing Grace Kelly acting with Jimmy Stewart being one of those reasons. Such an incredible film.
