man i think the amon plotline is just kind of weak in terms of world building

#lok #i've seen posts discussing this with more nuance #but it's still so soon after the hundred year war #republic city is new too. only a generation old. majority of its population are either 1st or 2nd generation immigrants #or earth kingdom citizens or fire nation colonists who built what became the city during the war #and the way that bending is distributed among the population of every nation is entire random. it's an odd choice to mark it as a dividing #a dividing line. because every bender has family that are nonbenders and vice versa #and! add to that that unless you are trained just being born a bender isn't an intrinsic leverage over a nonbender. untrained benders #and benders without a lot of power exist. able to do party tricks and not much more #it likens to. people who's bodies are more naturally built to handle manual labour. it's just genetics and random luck #of course there could be interesting ways to tackle bender and nonbender dynamics especially with the religious significance of bending #and in mixed cultures how bending being passed on can be a surrfire way you are truly seen as carrying on that side of your culture #and it could be interesting seeing the culture shift as republic city is the first place to have such a wide mix of different cultures #in things like food and festivals #but a nonbender revolution (especially led by a bender like amon) is odd. like what is the goal of the revolution #bending and nonbending people can't be seperated in any meaningful way. and there are already laws and rules #prohibiting destructive bending use just as there are regular destruction #it's just. the revolution seeks to remove bending from the world. that's obviously a wild thing to say with cultures built around and with #bending as a part of them. add that to the fact that benders can be born from non-bending families and it just falls apart.

I will admit, it's a little embarrassing since you can easily see the patterns of what I've been listening to for the past year or two. I swear I listen to more than just videogame OSTs, these songs just jive well with the story and I often find lyrics distracting when brainstorming scenes. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.

hi, those who have been following my a while probably have some idea of my housing situation, but the short of it is that something bad happened between me and my former landlord and i have now been homeless and couch surfing for over a year, and am currently looking into moving into an actual apartment by the end of the month. This wasn't something I had planned during the start of this month, or things would've played out differently, but things happened and I'm trying to make it work in the short window i have. General move in cost for the current apartment right now is greatly discounted until April 1st, and would be around $245 until then, not including pet deposite pet deposit.

I have a job interview lined up with a place just one bus stop away from this apartment, a brother with a truck ready to help move, a supportive fiancé, and enough financial security to keep those apartment bills paid enough until a job is security. The section8 housing lottery isn't working for the time being, and while they will help with rent costs once my name is drawn eventually, until then I'm on my own and need real help.

Thinking about Bodyguard!Miguel O’Hara who, when he took you to the studio lot for costumes a few weeks later, finally took up your offer to buy him a coffee. Black with two sugars. To say you had to keep your eyes from popping out of your sockets would be an understatement.

Bodyguard!Miguel who had to wait in the hallway as the head costumer took you into her office to take your measurements and show you some of her inspiration for the dresses she wanted to make for you. Wanting your opinions and input since you're the one that will be in the dresses and outfits.

Bodyguard!Miguel who boarded first class with you when you had to depart to the country to the main filming location, Italy, the week before filming started. Making sure to keep paparazzi at bay when you were leaving and arriving, keeping your face hidden from cameras.

Bodyguard!Miguel who finally got to see you in one of your costumes on the first day of filming, you had pictures of you in some of the outfits, but they were half finished and not exactly flattering footage. The director had also requested that all of your outfits for the film be a secret to the rest on set, wanting to add to that wow factor.

Bodyguard!Miguel that also felt his breath get caught in his throat when he finally got to see you come out in your first dress, a beautiful lilac silk dress. Pupils dilated behind sunglasses as he watched as you spin and giggle about with some of the actors in the dress. Your matching fan providing you some relief from the Italian hot sun while you wait for the filming crew to finish setting up for the first shots.

The director knew what he was doing when he casted you as the main character, you truly looked like a princess.

Miguel had been thankful he had his sunglasses on, both due to the harsh sun beating down on his sensitive eyes, and to the fact he can gawk at you shamelessly.

He always watched you when you weren’t in a ten foot radius, but this time was…different. The usual protectiveness and possessiveness was still there of course, but now there was something else mixed in. Admiration? Affection? Adoration ? He didn’t know.

What he did know was you looked nothing less than breathtaking. Graceful steps despite the valley ground still dewy from the morning, the way you recite the lines like they were your own words. The way you hid your face with the fan when Peter as his character spoke with you. If Miguel didn’t know any better, we would have thought you were really flustered over his words.

Despite it all only being an act, the scene made him feel queasy. Not that he’d ever admit.

He let out the quietest of sighs as he watched you both go to restart the scene. He had one job to do. That was to protect you, not fall for you.

He was fucked.

🌸🍀 Hello and welcome to our (first) Flufftober Spring Edition 🌸🍀

SURPRISE 😁

Yes, we've decided that one month of the year simply isn't enough anymore! So we would like to fill two weeks in March with as much fluff as possible 🥰 for that to happen, we present you with 14 prompts, some of them neutral, some very much sping-themed.

How does this work?

Pretty much like our regular Flufftober event in October, so you'll find all the common rules and info below the cut. Contrary to the big event though, this one here only runs for two weeks instead of the entire month, and we set the date from March 11th to March 24th! So prompt one is NOT supposed to be posted on March 1st but instead on March 11th! Prompt two is for March 12th, prompt 3 for March 13th, and so on...

Since this is a smaller prompt list, you also won't find any prompt extras to switch these out with, sorry. Maaaybe if this event is a success, we'll think about changing that in upcoming years 😉

Standard Blog Rules & FAQ

(Due to previous asks, we made sure to add more points to this section - while they're not new rules, they're new to this list, so you'll find them colored green)

No inc*st or p*dophilia - we can’t keep you from writing it or creating art for it but it won’t be reblogged. No inc*st: This rule does not apply to distant cousins and such, as you might find in the LotR fandom (or basically in all of European Monarchy). The line we draw is at direct blood relations (siblings, (grand)parents, kids) and/or legal guardianship. No p*dophilia: This rule does not rule out fandoms that feature teenagers such as Harry Potter, Heartstoppers, Hunger Games, etc. It also doesn't mean you can't write about their time together as teenagers! It's aimed at ships in which one is a minor and the other is not - but since even that has grey areas, the rule is this: if you keep it SFW, all is good and allowed, we don't care; if it turns NSFW, be mindful of the legalities of the world/society/times your characters live in.

No hate or ship bashing - we’re all different and we all love different things. As long as it doesn’t go against rule #1, it’s allowed.

Tag correctly! Trigger warnings (including cheating!), ships, ratings, (pure) smut, etc - it’s all fine as long as you tag it.

There’s absolutely no word count restriction, write as little or as much as you like.

In regards to art, anything goes: drawings, paintings, collages, mood boards, gif sets, videos, playlists… the sky’s the limit (though not really…). If you would like to create a podfic, the fic you're using does not have to be new - your creation will be new!

You can mix and mash different mediums however you like, be it within one prompt or on different days.

While we can’t force you to write fluff or create fluffy art, please try to keep in mind that this is a fluff event 😉 that, of course, doesn't mean you can't combine it with angsty/whumpy prompts - hurt/comfort is absolutely welcome!

You can start creating as soon as you see this - but please refrain from posting before the respective day.

If you post early, we will schedule your post for the correct day; if you use multiple prompts in one creation, we will post on the earliest day you used.

You can participate on as many days as you like, even if it’s just one; you can also create multiple entries for the same day.

You can replace as many original prompts as you like with our prompt extras; you can also combine them with the original prompts or create for them in addition, that's completely up to you.

It’s okay to write one story/a series for all the prompts.

You do not have to stick to one character, ship, or even one fandom - switch as often as you like to or even write for multiple ships for one day.

The ship does not have to be a romantic one! Friendship and family feels are more than welcome (but this is not a way to get around rule #1!)

Original works as well as OCs in fandoms are welcome! But please make sure to mark these clearly, either in the tags or the post itself. We're not familiar with all fandoms (though we're definitely learning a lot!), so we're not always sure what might be an OC and what might be such an unknown side character not even Google can find them...

Reader insert fics (for example "character x reader") as well as RPFs are absolutely allowed.

Other languages are also welcome - just make sure to clearly mark the day and fandom so that we can still easily reblog.

This event can be combined with other events as long as the other event allows it.

Late entries are always welcome, even if it is months or years later.

All fandoms and ships are welcome - fanon and canon - as long as they’re of age (in case you want to add smut) and not related.

ASTRO OBSERVATIONS PART 23🪸

Chiron conjunct personal planets can make you attract obsessive people. Chiron adds a vulnerability and down to earthness that invites people in and make them feel like you understand them even if you dont. People relate to you easily and feel like you relate to them too, if you are a celebrity fans will think they know you just like with Neptune. No boundaries between you and others.

People with Moon/Pluto aspects grew up becoming ashamed of their strong emotions and sensitivity. They know that they feel everything stronger than others and to not be seen as ”weak” they shut these emotions down. Telling them that they are sensitive can be a trigger for them. To all my Moon/Pluto people: Sensitivity is NOT weakness.

If you have personal planets in the 8th house especially Venus and you need help with something ask someone rich. Rich people will be very drawn to you and will like you more than people with less money. They are also less likely to be jealous of you.

Moon in the 1st house/Cancer Rising cant hide what they feel its all over their face. Mars in the 1st house/Aries Rising cant hide when they are pissed off no matter how soft their face is it turns hard and their voices become super harsh and their eyes becomes super piercing. Capricorn Rising/Saturn Rising cant hide how they feel when in an embarrassing situation, public humiliation feels like death to them. Scorpio Rising/Pluto Rising cant hide when they get jealous and their eyes starts to look all reptilian. And then we have Neptune 1st house who will hide what they feel perfectly💀

With Venus Square Ascendant there is a tendency to spend A LOT of money to look good.

If a Leo Moon ignore you and you ignore them back they will panic and start talking to you again, they have to get your attention. Ive seen this so many times especially Leo Moons. No matter how mad they are at you they cant handle you ignoring them back.

Capricorn placements are just as hair/beard obsessed as Leo placements.

Paine(5188) conjunct Moon in a natal chart means that the person will go through a lot of emotional pain in their life, mostly caused by women.

House placements can sometimes help aspects and vice versa. For example you have Moon conjunct Pluto which usually means being disliked by other women and being emotionally intense. But if you also have Moon in the 11th house other women will find you charming and you will be popular(11th house) among women(Moon) + you will be less intense because its in an air house.

Samuel L Jackson having Jupiter conjunct Mercury makes so much sense. Famous for his acting skills and funny lines. Such a comedic genius.

Leo Venus people attract a lot of people who want to be in a relationship with them. Not only because they are hot & have style but also because people can sense that these people have very high standards and people want to show that they can get the Leo Venus person. They are usually the IT girl/guy in their hometown and people want to have them as a trophy.

8th house placements 🤝 People not recognizing you when they havent seen you in a year bc of you constantly transforming.

Dejanira(157) can show where you are most likely to be victimized. 9th house = school, 4th house = home,childhood, 10th house=in public. Conjunct a planet can show by who etc. So Dejanira conjunct Venus in the 9th house=victimized by the girls at school/female teachers.

Everytime someone threw a fit in my comments over an observation it was because I said something about Moon/Mars or or Scorpio Moon. Ive noticed that Libras, Virgos and Leos are usually like ”Omg giiirl why are you exposing me like thiiissss” they laugh at it. Leos are good at taking criticism and Virgos and Venusians are self aware because they already analyzed themselves enough to not be shocked by criticism.

Too much Neptune Squares in a chart can be really dangerous. These people are able to dream when reality gets hard while someone with hard Saturn aspect will panic and work hard to get out of the situation. This is why people with strong Neptune aspects can live in a dream for years, completely fooling themselves.

My sister got Venus in the 1st house and she got a beauty mark in the exact same spot on her face as Beyonce who also got Venus in the 1st house. I also noticed that Lilith 1st housers got a signature mole/beautymark.

I know someone with Venus, Jupiter and Sun conjunct in the 1st house and let me tell you she is always surrounded by people. Super popular and well liked. I seriously dont think shes spent more than an hour alone in her whole life.

Sydney Sweeney having scorpio rising conjunct scorpio mars with pluto in the 1st house + lilith conjunct sun in virgo in the 10th house really shows. No matter if you find her physically attractive or not nobody can deny that her sex appeal is insane. She ooze sex. Anybody can dress sexy or look sexy but naturally oozing it? Not a lot of people.

I recognize Scorpio Rising men by their stare and their hair and whiskers, i recognize Capricorn and Leo Rising men by their beard. I recognize Aries Rising men by their walk and natural boxer stance. I recognize Cancer Rising men on their facial shape.

Im a Libra Venus and people say this placement is one of the most shallow ones and I have to agree even tho it hurts. Even when im at home sick I have to wear matching clothes. I dont care about makeup and being around people who look good but i care a lot about what I wear even if im just going to the gym.
