"THAT CONTAINER IS LYING ABOUT ITS CONTENTS"
Matthew 7:15, “Be on your guard against false prophets; they come to you LOOKING LIKE SHEEP on the OUTSIDE, but on the INSIDE they are really like wild WOLVES.” (GNT) My two favorite seasons are Winter and Fall! Winter, because I love Christmas, snow, carols, decorations and the like. And Fall, because I love the colors, Thanksgiving, the start of the scent of fireplaces, but most of all,…

Stare Yourself Deaf | Eric Gilmour [2 Corinthians 13:5]
The more attention we give to JESUS the higher HE will become in our lives—if you look at Acts 1 this is the ascension of JESUS.
Though this physically took place, HE actually ascended in front of them. There is a spiritual implication, I believe we can pull from this for our daily lives
v.9 it says that after HE had said these      things, HE's lifted up while they were      looking at HIM. They were looking at      HIM & HE was lifted up..
HE was lifted up while they were look      -ing at HIM, I'm trying to tell you that      as we keep our attention & our gaze
fixed upon CHRIST, HE will rise higher      & higher & higher in our lives higher      than all the things around us
higher than all the things going on in      our government or in our nation—      higher than ourselves & others..
This is what is the greatest need is
for CHRIST to be above everything      else including ourselves in our hearts
   •  we don't trust ourselves for guidance    •  we don't trust ourselves for obedience    •  we don't obey ourselves
We let CHRIST be lifted higher than us & others
This is happening in the heart that continually looks unto JESUS. Moses endured seeing HIM WHO was unseen.
1.]  Focus on JESUS, HE becomes Supreme
So number one JESUS is lifted by staring at       HIM, the LORD said to me a couple months       back, HE said stare yourself deaf.
I didn't know that a tumult & a torrential       downpour of voices from the enemy would       come to me & surround me.
it felt like they were in me & above me &       around me—I didn't even know that was       coming. But JESUS said before this enemy       voice attack in my life,
      HE said stare yourself deaf
We can look at JESUS so intently that we       can't hear the voice of the enemy, and I       would say also—the more we remove       our attention from the LORD JESUS, the       more we will hear the voice of the enemy
And as David says
My soul is restless because of the voice       of the enemies. Let us stare ourselves       deaf — this means giving CHRIST the       highest place above everything.
That's going on everybody, around us & express it & especially above ourselves that's the one because the presence of GOD is experienced by those who are not focused on themselves!
In other words, consciousness of GOD's presence
Praise GOD! Consciousness of GOD's presence comes when we're no longer conscious of our -selves
—we forget ourselves that we might see      HIM, oh in order for the bride to come out      of herself—she must forget herself
     O looking unto JESUS
2.] Long For HIS Return
But look what happens next v.10 & as they were gazing intently at the LORD—as they are gazing intently, they hear of the 2nd coming.
The Angels say,
“This JESUS, WHOM has been taken up      into Heaven will come just in the same      way as you've watched HIM go.”
In other words, they receive a revelation of the coming of the LORD by staring at the LORD!
I want to submit to you that the more intently we gaze upon CHRIST—not only will HE be lifted higher than everything else in ourselves
—but also we will feel HIS second coming!
Maranatha pumps through the veins of those who stare at the KING, if the KING has all our attention then we expect anticipate & long for HIS coming! Praise GOD!
3.] Union with CHRIST Intercede for Others
Lastly v.14 when they return home from gazing intently upon the LORD, it says they continually devoted themselves to prayer!
They continually devoted themselves to prayer
So I feel like the life of prayer
a life that is bathed in prayer literally      overwhelmed in unbroken conscious      union with the LORD & soaking other      things in prayer whatever we do
we're doing it all with thanksgiving      unto the LORD & offering it to the      LORD & bathing everything in prayer
it comes from a heart set & fixed upon      the MAN CHRIST JESUS & feeling the      fact that HE is returning
............................................................................. I would say that we are not a people of prayer to the degree we don't recognize HE's returning &
we are not a people of prayer to the degree HE's not lifted above everything around us & ourselves by gazing intently at HIM. .............................................................................
Those who pray are the ones who are looking unto JESUS, is in the life of prayer.
I've defined prayer often as conscious union just literally conscious of my union with HIM established by HIM, sustained by HIM.
I read in valley vision this morning that HIS work is everything--mine is to cling to HIM WHO is everything..
So all this to say:
if we will look unto JESUS & stay fixed      steady staring, we will stare ourselves      deaf! HE will be lifted high above all      other things
We will feel & tremble with the expectation & anticipation of the return of the LORD & this'll make us a people of prayer!
Yes communion with GOD first & communion with GOD is the heart but also intercession praying for those that GOD has entrusted to us--it's just the highest delight!
I've often said that the essence of intercession is when the tears of CHRIST in Heaven come through my eyes on the Earth
or when the voice of the great intercessor in Heaven is echoed in the Earth by our lips!!!
4.] Closing Prayer
So FATHER thank YOU so much for the simplicity of this--that we can look unto JESUS & be saved & live in salvation & experience this wonderful & glorious salvation!
I praise YOU LORD!
I pray LORD, that YOU do something fresh; & every viewer show us where our gaze has been deviated or inconsistent & LORD show us the liberty & joy & peace & fulfillment that comes from just looking at YOU!
In YOUR precious Name, amen
P.S. You know one more thing just popped up in my       mind in 2 Corinthians 13, Paul says this amazing       thing he says examine yourselves!
to see if you're in the faith, he's literally just       said you can look on the inside & see whether       or not you are born again.
He says right here in v.5 test yourselves to see       if you were in the faith, examine yourself..
      •  think & look at your own life       •  look at your internals       •  look at what you are
Then he says this or do you not recognize this about       yourself that JESUS CHRIST is in you. He is showing       us that the evidence of having been born again is       the recognition of CHRIST's Presence!
O the recognition of CHRIST's presence that is not       only salvation itself because HE saved us from a       life apart from HIMSELF,
But it is HIM WHO is salvation!
      possessed
This is something that is perceived, we perceive       our possession of HIM WHO gave HIMSELF to us       that is the evidence & the anchor of our faith.
The MAN CHRIST JESUS, not just theologically       but actually! Praise GOD! Thank YOU LORD for       this in the HOLY GHOST, I pray that those of you       that are watching that you would sense & feel       this reality. JESUS CHRIST is in you!
Praise GOD, hey join us on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m       we sit together & we read the Scriptures & wait on       the LORD & we've been going through Psalm 119
it's been incredible marked by the presence of the       LORD. Join us, I'll put a link down below if you want       to become one of our patreon supporters & joined       the mentoring group. GOD bless you guys
[2 Corinthians 13:5; 2 Peter 1:10-11]
   •  2 Corinthians 13:5 | Examine yourselves to        see whether you are in the faith; test your        selves. Can’t you see for yourselves JESUS        CHRIST is in you—unless you actually fail        the test?
   •  2 Peter 1:10-11 | Therefore, brothers, be        all the more eager to make your calling        & election sure. For if you practice these        things you will never stumble,¹¹ & you will        receive a lavish reception into the eternal        Kingdom of our LORD & SAVIOUR JESUS        CHRIST.

How Can I Be Sure I am Saved?
How Can I Be Sure I am Saved?
“How Can I Be Sure I am Saved.” Some time ago, a member of the church wrote to tell me that they were confused on the issues of works and salvation. The following is a copy of an e-mail correspondence that resulted. I wrote the e-mail to help clarify the issues of works versus grace and how they work together in the Christian life. It is a brief attempt for sure, but I thought it might be helpful…

FAITH!
• “Now FAITH is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” —Hebrews 11:1
• “And without FAITH it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” —Hebrews 11:6
• “I tell you the truth, if you have FAITH as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” —Matthew 17:20
• “Fight the good fight of the FAITH. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. ” —1 Timothy 6:12
• “We live by FAITH not by sight.” —2 Corinthians 5:7
• “Be on your guard; stand firm in the FAITH; be men of courage, be strong.” —1 Corinthians 16:13
Faith is the most important gift a Christian has (other than Salvation in Jesus Christ and God’s Word: The God-breathed, Spirit-filled Holy Bible). With God and faith, the impossible can become the possible. Hebrews chapter 11 (https://bible.com/bible/116/heb.11.NLT) is all about the faith of people in the Bible: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses (and his parents), Rahab and the people of Israel! And these are just the people mentioned in Hebrews 11! There are many more ordinary people throughout the Bible who were chosen by God and, by faith (and with God’s help), did amazing, miraculous things.
Friend (just like the people in the Bible), with faith and God’s help, there is nothing you and God can't achieve together. Keep seeking God’s will, keep praying, keep believing (Lk 11:9-10, Mk 11:24) and you will see miracles begin to happen. Amen and Hallelujah! 🙌🙌🙌

Deceitful Practices
Tumblr media
by Aiden Wilson Tozer
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. - 2 Corinthians 11:13-14
Still other deadly sins exist within the very circles that make pretense of the most advanced type of godliness; such, for instance, as professing great compassion for the sick, conducting giant meetings for the purpose of bringing healing to them, but slyly separating the hopeless cases from those less serious and more susceptible to psychological impressions, and all the while growing rich on the miseries and pains of humanity. Some of these prophets own large estates, drive huge cars and boast of fabulous wealth tied up in equipment, while the suffering multitudes whose blood they suck hobble or crawl or are carried to meetings. Investigation of one such man carried on by some godly pastors revealed that he had been hiring healthy persons to come up for prayer and pretend to be healed. This was done, he explained when faced with the deed, to "encourage weak faith." Thus lying and deception were deliberately made a part of the purported methods of the Holy Spirit. Others base everything on the power of money and personality, yet testify that they are trusting wholly in the power of the Spirit. And many introduce into their religious work every gimmick known to the world, and so destroy the very thing they profess to cherish. It is sufficient evidence of the moral insensibility of such men that they violently resent even the mention of these things; and it is further proof of the success of their methods that the very public they have betrayed will rush to defend them.

The Paper Shredder
Not long ago, in our community’s FB group, a neighbor sent out a plea for help. She needed a paper shredder to rid herself of all those old financial records, letters, and documents. She was done with the build-up of paper overload. In a matter of minutes, neighbors were quick to provide her with theirs. Truthfully, I need that paper shredder, too. But more than the paper shredder, I need to get…

“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.” Psalm 40:3 I am sure many of us have witnessed two distinct ways of singing a song and playing an instrument; and one appears to be more of a gift or an acquired gift than the other. There is the soloist and musician who studies the notes and practices methodically until the…

Eternal Assurance: Trusting in Christ Alone
Back in the early 90’s I faced a crisis as I held to a works-based salvation and constantly lived in fear of my eternal destiny. I had no assurance of my salvation because I never knew if I’d performed enough good works to validate my salvation. It was a terrible place to be. The solution came when I began to study the Scriptures carefully, stopped looking at myself, and fixed my “eyes on Jesus,…

Peace and reconciliation are the primary indicators of the children of God
Peace and reconciliation are the primary indicators of the children of God
Believers are taught and encouraged to operate within a spirit of peace at all times. When Yeshua taught his disciples about forgiveness, it was with the idea that they were to be reconcilers, those who promote peace instead of further divisiveness. This was to be true not only among themselves, but with all others, even including their enemies. Matthew 5:44 – “But I say to you, love your…

“Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw His unfailing love from me.” —Psalm 66:20 (NLT)
“10 Prayers God Always Answers” By Carrie Lowrance:
“Prayer can be such a beautiful, simple, and complicated thing at the same time. Everyone prays in their own different way and still, our loving God hears every one. Getting an answer? That can be a whole different story. Sometimes an answer comes right away and sometimes we have to wait. However, there are some things we can pray for that God will always answer. Why does He always answer? Because of the desire we have to grow in Him and see more of Him in our lives.
Here are 10 prayers God always answers, without fail:
1. “Use me to glorify You.” One of the Lord’s greatest desires is to use us to glorify Him. Sometimes it can be hard to know what to do or where He is directing us. Simply ask Him and He will answer. It could be something as big as starting a non-profit for a specific cause or something small, but just as powerful, like buying a homeless person a meal. It could also be using the unique talents He has given you to reach other people for Him.
2. “Forgive my sins.” We serve a loving and merciful God and every one of us are sinners. There is no such thing as a perfect Christian. We all stumble and sometimes backslide, but by opening our hearts and confessing our sins we can be redeemed. The Lord died to save us from our sins. Not just that day on the cross, but every day of our lives.
3. “Reveal Yourself to me.” In the busyness of life, it can be hard to see and hear where the Lord is leading us. If we simply stop and ask Him to reveal Himself to us, He will, and it’s usually in awesome, amazing ways. He reveals Himself in different ways to each one of us. To some of us, He is an inner voice, to others He speaks through visions and dreams. He also speaks at times by revealing the job, opportunity,or resources we need exactly when we need them.
If you’re really struggling, take some time during the day to just get quiet and ask Him to reveal Himself in your life. Then get into the habit of noticing the smallest of things during your day. He doesn’t always reveal Himself in big ways. Sometimes He reveals Himself in small ways as well.
4. “Give me Your wisdom.” As the Bible tells us, we are not to lean on our own understanding. This can be especially hard in difficult times. When you are facing a situation where you don’t know what you should do, ask Him to give you His wisdom. It may help to speak with your pastor or a trusted friend as well. Sometimes when we are all stressed out and “in our own minds” He will speak through a trusted clergy member/friend as to what you should do. Other times He will speak to you directly.
5. “Strengthen my obedience.” We all know that when the Lord asks us to do something, we need to be obedient. However, at times it can be very, very hard. For example, if we are waiting for something to happen, it can be hard not to take matters into our own hands. When you have days of anxiety and doubt, ask the Lord to strengthen your obedience. Ask Him to help you to do what you have been commanded to do. For me, whenever I hear or see the phrase, “Be still and know that I am God.” it reminds me to be still and obedient. For He is working even if I can’t see it.
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.” —James 1:5 (NLT)
6. “Help me spread Your love.” Our world is a crazy place, full of opinions and thoughts and ideas. We know the best way to interact with people is to show the love of the Lord, but sometimes it’s hard to know how to do this. When you ask Him to help you spread his love, He will. You may find a Christian non-profit or charity to volunteer at or you may do something on your own, like help a single Mom pay for her groceries or drive an elderly neighbor to a doctor’s appointment.
7. “Give me clarity.” Walking this path called life can be difficult and muddled at times. The last thing the Lord wants is for you to go down the wrong path or make the wrong choice. It may take time and patience, but the Lord will always answer a prayer for clarity.
“For God, who said, 'Light shall shine out of darkness,' is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” —2 Corinthians 4:6
8. “Help me find peace.” Our own lives can be chaotic let alone all the things that are going on in the world. With everything going on, finding peace can seem almost impossible. The Lord does not want us living in a state of anxiety and peril, He will always answer and help us find peace.
“In those days you will pray and I will listen. If you seek Me wholeheartedly you will find Me.” —Jeremiah 29:12-13 (NLT)
9. “Align my heart with Yours.” This world can be a mean spirited place and it can be hard sometimes not to hold judgment, resentment, or other feelings in our hearts. By asking the Lord to align our hearts with His and asking for forgiveness, He can cleanse us of the toxic things that build up in our hearts and be more aligned with Him. He loves us and wants us to be more like Him so this is a prayer He will always answer.
10. “Align my mind with Yours.” Our minds are bombarded by images, thoughts, opinions, and information every day. As we all know, what goes in is what comes out. Still, we can’t just totally shut ourselves off from society and the media. We all falter in our thoughts from time to time. In this situation, it is best to ask the Lord to align our mind with His.
Let's pray: Dear Lord, I want to grow in You and have more of You in my life. I pray that You will strengthen me in using me and my talents to glorify You. I thank You for loving me and forgiving my sins each day, every day. I pray You will reveal Yourself in my life. Give me Your wisdom as to what I should do in every situation and strengthen my obedience in what You ask of me. Show me the right path to travel and correct my ways if I stray. Show me ways to show and spread Your love to those around me. Clear my mind to receive crystal clear clarity when You speak. Help align my heart and mind in their purest form to be an imitation of You. Thank You for answering all my prayers in your perfect timing with Your perfect answer, even though I may not always understand. In Your name, I pray. Amen.”
