Inspired by @english-history-trip, I decided to make my own "history what-ifs" poll, pretty much covering the Stuarts and Hanovarians.
I decided to forego any heirs of the throne who died prematurely or asking the question what would have happened had childless monarchs had (surviving) children, and focussed on some different events, some of which would have been more, some less likely to have been successful.
However, a successful French invasion was as much feared in 1805 as some loyal cavaliers were rumoured to be murmuring that Elizabeth Stuart would make a good monarch. Since none of these things have come to pass in this our universe, let us embark on merry, not all too serious speculations-- have fun voting, speculating, and adding any suggestions you may have!
