I once ventured into the so called self-proclaimed terf blogs to research the true meaning & while they do seem quite level-headed I see the issue. The main worry seems to be that perverted men lure their way into female safe spaces or near children in disguise of gender identity. While it certainly is an issue, these fetishists are not trans women. I've witnessed it myself and mind you I've been a big ally since childhood. Predators who prey on women and children are predators, not trans women. Can someone identify as a trans woman and behave predatory simultaneously? No. It's as simple as that. They've weaponized the wave but these fetishists are as old as time. While they are a threat to women and children they're the biggest threat to the trans community for the stigmatization and the effect the phenomenon has on the mental health of trans youth. Which is already burdened. All women are in a disadvantaged position and so are all the young people struggling with their gender identities, if anything they're even more vulnerable and at risk of all sort of abuse. This blog supports & protects all LGBTQ youth. Shine on.

I think part of this bitterness that gets leveled at "AFAB trans people" is grounded in envy, and you see it crop up in both cis and trans radfems for different reasons. But with trans radfems, it's because they think we're throwing away our perceived proximity to cis womanhood. We're supposedly walking away from "the cisterhood" and I think some trans radfems really, really wanted to be part of that; and instead of reflect on that, they accuse us of dangling what they wanted in front of them.

I would also say I have seen the reverse be true as well. It is difficult when trauma and bitterness and dysphoria and envy and transphobia turn into us eating our own community. But I think also we are stronger together than we are divided, and I think allowing space for everyone to exist is still better than trying to shut out one demographic or the other.

If someone had told me this shit 5 years ago, no joke I would have killed myself, because that's what my 'inner wisdom's was telling me to do. No amount of meditating about my womb would help my personality disorder. but you know what did?? WORK!! I went to therapy 3 times a week and did all the shit my therapist told me to do and guess what? I've had my BPD in remission for almost a year. You need to DO THE WORK to know who and what isn't working for you. You need to DO THE WORK if you want to change.

Yes, it's good to connect with your body, remember to play, etc... but you also have to put in the work as well. You are not "perfect" because none of us are and if you refuse to grow and change, wtf are you doing in the magic community???

I've since blocked her page and the Cisterhood page. I'm so over this. I'm doing the work and making classes to unfuck all the fuckery these people have been spewing to the community.

In regards to the Cisterhood, oh oops, I mean AC Sisterhood, I’ve been looking high and low to find what these femrads mean by “authentic female experience”. They used Aveline and the ONLY mechanics and narrative highlights that they deem worthy to mention for Aveline as a black female protagonist is, “to flirt with guards in order to lure them away from their post.” 

I’m Vietnamese so I can’t speak for the black experience so please feel free to add. I’m pretty sure there are better things to highlight about Aveline as a black woman during slavery era in New Orleans in the 1770s, but the best they could come up with is her pretending to be a slave to do stealth mission? That’s it? There’s no notable narrative about her view on slavery and her personal struggles and how that got her to become an assassin? I haven’t played AC Liberation so I can’t say much for plot, but goddamn these radfems really miss AC2 so badly, they’d do anything to bring using-the-prostitutes-as-distractions back, because that’s definitely the feminine portrayal of “real women” we need more of.

Not to dismiss motherhood as part of femininity because trust me, I’d want to see how Aya coped with the loss of her child too, but the fact that they forget to mention what should’ve been included is: how that loss gives her the strength to become the founder of the Hidden Ones/Assassins, the Mother of the Creed. She’s a mother AND an assassin. What they asked for is the first couple hours of the game we see with Bayek, how about after that? Oh and you know who else is a mother in AC? As much as I’d like to pretend that cursed DLC doesn’t exist, Kassandra is a mother. Idk where they think Aya comes from, vroom vroom Isu machines? The erasure of Kassandra and Eivor’s sexuality and gnc really shines. If they don’t count that DLC, at least comment on how that DLC is part of the problem, oh wait, gnc, queer women don’t count in their radfem books, so these women being shit on is fine.

Oh and you know what else? Mentioning Ellie twice but conveniently forgetting to highlight that she’s an openly gay woman. You know what’s “not taking what's traditionally expected from a man and putting a woman's skin on it.”? That’s right, being queer. And yet, not even an once of mention, probably because to them, being attracted to girls is only for men.

Lastly, where’s Evie? No suggestion for Evie!?!?!?! Where’s Elisé, the only Templar protag that we could’ve played as???

TLDR: the female experience that they want is the “ability to flirt with guards in order to lure them away from their post” from AC2. If you don’t see how radfem this is, idk how else to make it clearer.

Overall: Currently I'm feeling the gears start to grind as winter comes and thus flare ups of all sorts come up as well. The flow of time is cruel... and such. I have to face the Devil and my own limitations and expectations before I can make any real progress. My Next Step is a Three of Rupees/ Three of Pentacles, a reoccuring card I get usually in reference to the Mystic Mysfits shop which is starting to become more of a reality as we are planning on boothing at events next year! The sisters symbolism here is kinda funny, at first I was thinking it could be in reference to a gemini friend of mine, or the shop in general, but I think it may be in reference to the absolute rancid terf vibes that we have discovered in our local magic community. Womben type bullshit,""""""" Wombsgiving""", anti-birth control methods that aren't herbal, all charging 44 dollars to hang out and paint pictures of vulvas. After all this came to light, we started making motions and budget plants to start teaching classes as this event space since obviously anyone can do it. Despite the store being queer friendly they still allow this shit to go through so we are working on bring some queer community to this bullshit. No one in this area has updated their spiritual beliefs since that acid trip in the 70s so it needs some reliable information. My husband is planning on doing classes on gender, science, and witchcraft and I am planning on teaching spirit work basics and tarot. So basically I think the sisters represents the local Sisterhood (aka Cisterhood) lol. This is all apart of the plan and makes me feel like I actually have a plan for Sagehood so I regard this as pretty positive! I will definitely be praying for all the Wisdoms to help me with my research.
