Me this morning: Oh it's snowing! so that's why Pirlouit woke me up braying harder than usual, he finds no twigs to nibble on as he waits for breakfast
Me doing a quick head count of animals in the pasture: ... Ah. No. He was snitching
I have no explanations this time. Just, nothing. Usually when Pampe escapes I can quickly form a solid hypothesis, but all the gates are closed, I found no holes in the fence, and more importantly, no llama footprints except in front of the greenhouse where I found her ominously inspecting my baby cherry tree.
No tell-tale traces in the snow that would be evidence of jumping—it's like she materialised on the other side of the fence with the power of her mind. So I guess she can do that now.
I feel like Poldine is trying to give me a hint but I don't understand it. She can't have escaped here, Poldine! There are no holes and no traces! I even cleared this square metre of snow with my boot and there were no footprints in the mud below, either. (I don't know if Pampérigouste's new mind powers extend to predicting the weather so she can escape just before a snowfall, knowing it will cover her tracks.) (Maybe.)
Or maybe Poldine wasn't trying to help me solve the mystery, just telling her mum "hurry up, she won't give us breakfast as long as you're out." (It's true. No one gets to eat while Pampe is out, and I hope the other animals understand this and blame her for the delay.)
Pampe resents this psychological pressure and now plans to focus her llama mind powers on controlling me like a hay-carrying puppet.

y’all do get that if dan and phil hard launch it will break the internet right? like people who haven’t thought about dnp since 2016 and literally everyone else with an online presence will know. suddenly there will be so many new eyes on our cute little community that we’ve managed to build from the ashes of the early phandom. it’ll be worldwide news that those guys from youtube who “weird girls” always shipped were actually together the whole time. it’ll be absolute chaos. it’s not that i don’t want them to hard launch if that’s genuinely what they want to do, i’m just afraid that it’ll send shockwaves through the entire internet that’ll shatter the nice little thing we’ve got going on here. i for one don’t want to be talking to an acquaintance in class next semester and hear them say “did you hear that dan and phil from youtube are together? that’s crazy! i never watched them ‘cause their fans were always so weird. i didn’t even know they were gay. i guess their fans bullied them out of the closet.” and then have to pretend to be normal.

hearing about gale from tara is always such a treat because she's known him for so, so long, ever since he was just a boy and has watched him grow into who he is now:
Player: Excruciatingly awkward. On my side, at least.
Tara the Tressym: Don't be too hard on yourself, sir. You've been like that all your life.
Player: It's very unsettling how you can tell what I've been up to just by looking at me...
Tara the Tressym: Tressyms are exceptionally intuitive. And also, you wear your emotions like a very garish cravat.
Tara the Tressym: If that's all, then what comes after is for you to decide, Mr Dekarios. Think well on all that's happened, and stay true to that heart of yours. It's a good one.
which also sort of ties into this:
Player: I'd never want to lose you, Tara. I'll return the Crown to Mystra.
Tara the Tressym: There's a good humanoid. You had me scared for a moment here. But you're wise - and wiser all the time.
Player: That's just my boyish charm.
Tara the Tressym: Boyish charm and knees that creak like rusted hinges! Quite the combination.
Player: I'm honestly not sure. But don't worry - it's nothing I can't handle.
Tara the Tressym: Very tough.
Player: Must be the beard.
Tara the Tressym: Don't be silly. What is it really?
she's absolutely not averse to teasing him. however, it's never cruel and always light-hearted, just like she's not afraid to call him out on evading questions or making him reflect on the choices he takes if she does disagree with him. it really speaks of how long they have been at each other's side.
Tara the Tressym: Mr Dekarios. Gale. You are the finest mind - the finest wizard - I have ever had the pleasure to know. If anyone can beat this thing, it is you.
When you tried to control the Weave - when it all went, pardon my language, belly up - I was terrified. Scared you'd be hurt. Scared Mystra would punish you for your transgression. But do you know what never crossed my mind?
That you wouldn't figure a way out of it. My clever friend never leaves a knot knotted. This parasite is one more knot, so get to tugging threads. And - Mr Dekarios - please. The beard. I'd cut it down myself if I could hold a razor.
so from tara's pov, gale's always been awkward and obvious with his emotions.
she's convinced he has a genuinely good heart, one that she hopes he'll stay true to.
tara thinks he's wise, and growing wiser (condition: gale rejects to take the crown for himself).
she also thinks he's clever and brilliant.

You cannot tell me Gortash isn’t the reason Orin turned on Durge. In Rivington, if you encounter all her forms from nearest to farthest from your starting point, Orins first disguised interrogation of durge is about who they’re in love with. She assumes durge loves someone. If they haven’t romanced a party member, she pushes it further- surely there’s someone you respect- someone you trust (a partnership built on mutual respect and trust, no?) .
Next, as the smith, she wants to know if you’ll kill those you care about. And we know who Durge didn’t want to turn on in the past- she surely felt personally betrayed by that as well.
Only then as the journalist does she actually get to the more important questions: how did you kill Ketheric and what do you plan to do next?
She may as well say it: she mutilated Durge, she removed part of their brain and did all she could to tear apart their memories but it still is at the forefront of her mind: do they love Gortash now? Do they remember how to trust him? Do they remember being respected? Cherished? Will they still refuse to kill the Banite? It might be semi strategic, but knowing why they’re in the city and what they know of Bhaal would be much more so.

such a shame that edmure hasn't yet gotten to meet the only member of his family truly proud of his great victory of the stone mill. so proud she even believed he could destroy tywin on an open battlefield too! ofc if she knew robb/catelyn/brynden blackfish's opinion on all that, she'd no doubt be influenced by her mother's and big brother's thoughts of the uncle she hadn't met before, but it's not like either is in any position to tell her now. maybe that's the one silver lining of the rw, if/when edmure and arya there's nothing to stop her congratulating him on his defeat of tywin lannister.
