Once again thinking about my oc who makes how to do videos that Vulcan kids like to watch, except this time I’m also thinking about “guest stars,” because you just know there’s going to be some things where you need an expert on it for
And originally I was just thinking about pleasant guest stars, and how the Human oc is unknowingly also teaching Vulcan kids how to handle their emotions because the Human is trying a lot of new things that actually scare them, or make them anxious, things like that, but they just calm themselves down on camera and continue doing them
But now I’m thinking about Jim Kirk, specifically aos Jim Kirk, guest starring before he ever became a captain, and it’s “how to ride a motorcycle,” and the whole time, this Human who is usually good at keeping a calm and pleasant disposition, just keeps turning to anxiously tell the camera “don’t do that” because Jim went straight to tricks and stuff that he shouldn’t be showing beginners
Jim Kirk is rewatching this episode as a captain, trying to avoid looking at Bones and Spock as they watch him put himself in danger without proper protective gear on

I have expressed previously that I have an odd relationship with BNHA, which included hate watching most of it. It has its moments, but there's really not that many. It's also. Y'know. Rampantly sexist.
I picked up One Piece maybe midway through my watching via the manga (I was warned of the anime's terrible pacing) and just. Wow. I was hooked from the start. I read through the first 4 volumes day one. I fell in love with these dorks immediately.
Oda's style might not sit with everyone but. Holy shit. Holy fucking shit. His backgrounds and shading are phenomenal.
I don't normally get that attached to a cast of characters or a story. I don't usually cry with media. One Piece has, as of current, made me cry around I'm gonna say 8 times. It's also made me burst out laughing or start (quietly) cheering many, many more times. The writing is top notch, the characters are so fucking good, the story and foreshadowing are just. Woah. I'm not going to be okay when I finish it. I'm already 40% of the way there.
Anyways closing thoughts despite everything I can't help but unabashedly love Luffy. I feel like I should hate him and despise him and want to grind him up with my teeth for being so stupid and silly and optimistic but. I don't. I love him for all those reasons. He's peak silly little guy, and while I'm only just starting Enies Lobby, there's also definitely more to him than that. He's silly and optimistic and incredibly dumb, but there's definitely a lot of emotional intelligence under the surface.
Anyways that's my mini One Piece rant because I am mentally plagued by it it's so good

In honor of the forum that shut down today, and my favorite game on it, my two favorite memes of all time that live rent-free in my head:
(The context for this one is that, in a game where you are supposed to be as active as possible every day [24 hour cycles] in a Day [3-5 24-hour days], loveit would come on about once a Day to leave one message and vanish again. It became a meme among the other players.)
.
(And the context for this one was that I, a Townie, wouldn't keep my mouth shut and kept getting the Scums killed. XD)
(This is my favorite meme of all time. I love it so much.)
(I should probably mention that I made neither of these. I just really love them.)
