Happy Birthday Zoro
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Roronoa Zoro is known to be a dedicated and focused swordsman. His commitment to training is unwavering, and as a result, he has never celebrated his birthday before. In fact, he has always been too occupied with his rigorous training regimen to even consider such festivities.
However, this year was different. It marked Zoro's first year with the crew, and his fellow Straw Hat Pirates were determined to make it a memorable one.
The crew recognized Zoro's dedication and admired his strength. They understood that he rarely took time off from his training, and they wanted to show him how much they valued his presence. So, they secretly planned a surprise birthday party for him on the ship.
It took a great deal of effort to keep the preparations hidden from Zoro. Luffy, the captain of the crew, and Chopper made sure to distract Zoro with various training exercises and missions. Meanwhile, Usopp and Franky worked tirelessly to decorate the ship with colorful streamers and balloons.
Nami and Robin gathered ingredients to bake a special birthday cake, while Sanji took charge of preparing a delicious feast.
As the day of Zoro's birthday approached, the entire crew grew more excited. They couldn't wait to see the look of surprise on Zoro's face when he discovered what they had planned.
Finally, the day arrived, and the crew gathered on the ship, eagerly awaiting Zoro's return from his endless 'walk'.
When Zoro stepped onto the ship, he was greeted with shouts of "Happy Birthday!" and a chorus of laughter. He was taken aback, not expecting such a grand gesture from his crewmates. Zoro's eyes widened as he took in the decorations and the smiling faces of his friends. It was a moment of pure joy and warmth.
As the festivities continued, Zoro couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the love and care shown by his crew. He realized how lucky he was to have found such a supportive and close-knit group of friends. They had taken the time and effort to celebrate his birthday, something he had never experienced before.
Towards the end of the celebration, Luffy approached Zoro with a mischievous grin. "Zoro," he said, "we have one last surprise for you." Zoro looked puzzled as Luffy gestured towards a large box that had been placed at the center of the deck.
With a curious expression, Zoro approached the box and hesitantly opened it.
Inside the box was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen. His girlfriend was standing there wearing a long, flowing dress, her hair tied in a bow. She smiled at him and his heart raced.
It had been two months since Zoro had seen his girlfriend. She had been forced to stay in her hometown and protect it from danger, leaving Zoro feeling helpless and heartbroken. He had resigned himself to the fact that he wouldn't be able to see her for a long time, if ever.
He was filled with an immense wave of happiness that he had never felt before.
"Hello Zoro," You said with a hint of a seductive tone, "I'm hoping that I'm worthy of being the world's future greatest swordsman's present."
"A swordsman like me always deserves nothing but the best," Zoro smirked and replied, "You are worthy of me."
"Stop! Get a room!" Nami and Usopp said together, laughing.
With a smirk, Zoro swept her up into his arms and bridal carried her away, much to the amusement of the rest of the crew. "We'll do just that," Zoro remarked as he carried her away, a lighthearted smile on his face.
As they made their way to Zoro's room, the crew erupted in cheers and applause, wishing them both a happy birthday once again.
Zoro looked into her eyes and said, "You are the most beautiful present I could have ever asked for." She blushed and replied, "I'm glad that I'm able to make you happy." He leaned in closer and said, "You make me happier than I could ever imagine."
"Well, that's a relief," she said playfully, "If I'm the present, then that means you have to keep me forever."
Zoro smiled and said, "Forever sounds like a great idea to me."
She leaned in and their lips met, sending a spark of electricity through his body. His heart raced as he felt the warmth of her kiss and the softness of her lips. He held her close, wanting the moment to last forever. She ran her hands through his hair, deepening the kiss and sending a wave of desire through his body.
Oh how much he missed her.
He felt like he was soaring, floating in the air. He felt a love that he had never felt before, a love that was so strong that it could never be broken. They broke apart, both breathless and full of love.
He looked into her eyes and saw a reflection of the passion that he felt. They smiled at each other and he knew that he never wanted to let her go.
"Does that mean you'll be coming back?" He asked with hesitation.
She smiled softly and said, "I'll be wherever you are, for as long as you want me."
"You don't have to worry about that," Zoro replied with a smirk, "I want you with me always."
"Still as cocky as always Roanoro?" She asked with a smirk.
"Let me show you," Zoro replied with a mischievous glint in his eye.
The next morning, Zoro awoke to find that his beloved was unable to move from the bed, too exhausted from the night's activities to even stand. He smiled as he looked down on her, knowing that she was his forever.
He leaned in and said in a low, husky voice, "You know, it's dangerous to be this beautiful. I'm not sure I can keep myself away from you."
She smiled and replied, "I'm not sure I want you to."
He brushed a strand of hair away from her face and said, "I'm glad I can make you happy." She tilted her head and looked into his eyes, her own eyes full of love and longing.
She whispered, "You make me more than happy. You make me feel alive. I love you, Roronoa."
Zoro looked at her with a twinkle in his eye and said, "I love you too, my love. Now that you're officially mine, I'm never letting you go."
He leaned in and gave her a passionate kiss, making her cheeks flush with pleasure.
He then said with a smirk, "But I don't mind if you want to stay here a little longer."

okay not to get in my head about zosan but like. I CANNOT stop thinking about what a huge role nutrition plays in building muscle/strength, so here’s a massive wall of text about it
zoro almost CERTAINLY knows NOTHING about nutrition, given that he barely seems to know anything about actual strength-building form or technique and just Does The Thing until he reaches muscle fatigue and seems to have gotten to where he is based on pure trial and error alone (I mean... Johnny and Yosaku almost died of scurvy, so... I doubt the three of them were studying the food pyramid out there on the ocean)
So like. Can you imagine how great and how fast an improvement he would’ve seen once the crew had a proper cook feeding them??
like I’m not saying Sanji would go out his way specifically for him... but that’s just it. He cares about his crew and he’d be very invested in making sure they were meeting their dietary needs through his food - can you imagine if anyone ended up with nutrient deficiencies because of him? he’d perish on the spot - and he’d either do research or confer with chopper, so if he didn’t already know then at SOME point he’d figure out, like, holy shit, you need a LOT of protein and fat to efficiently build muscle and this mossy asshole is only ever interested in eating refined carbs and alcohol
so Sanji probably busts his ass trying to figure out how to make sure Zoro is getting enough protein to sustain his RIDICULOUS workouts in as concentrated a form as possible because zoro will lose interest in food quickly once he feels full even if he hasn’t actually eaten enough, but he’s not doing it specially for him - that’s just his role as the ship’s cook. He probably has to work three times as hard just to figure out how to feed Luffy at all.
But I mean. Zoro’s primary role in the crew’s roster is to be Strong, and like I said, nutrition and food is SUCH a HUGE part of building and sustaining muscle like. Was there a point after Sanji joining and feeding him consistently that he was like, WOAH, I’m getting JACKED? Stuff is working so much more effectively now? I’m making so much better progress, the hell?? (Must be my lucky day)
And Sanji would never point it out to him because like I said, to him, it’s no big deal. He probably doesn’t even register that it’s anything WORTH bringing up. Zoro is a part of the crew and he does xyz amount of physical exercise so his nutritional needs are blah blah blah. If that means Zoro’s workouts are more effective now because he’s not trying desperately to build muscle on nothing but white rice and a fifth of whiskey then that’s just all in a day’s work.
But like... imagine if Zoro found out. That the food he was eating played a direct role in his improvement and his strength and that in a way a lot of his progress was directly thanks to Sanji, that he wouldn’t be as far along as he was if someone hadn’t been feeding him right because Lord knows HE had no idea.
I’m just. head full many thoughts

Taste of Her Own Medicine
I wrote a zosan fic; come read it (Ao3 link in the reblog)
Description: Zoro is running late to a meeting with Sanji. When he finally gets there Sanji is swooning over the ex that crushed his heart while she peacocks and shows off her new boyfriend. People like that really pissed Zoro off.
Zoro checked his watch again. God damnit, he was late. Again. Which meant Sanji was going to kill him for it. Again. He couldn’t even pin this on Sanji this time, either, because Zoro was the one to suggest they meet at the fountain. To be fair, when he suggested it he’d been sure that he in-fact knew the way to the fountain. When he reached where it should have been, however, it inexplicably wasn’t there.
Now he’s rushing halfway across town to get to where it apparently actually is, if his phone’s map could be trusted (Zoro did not trust his phone’s map, sure that it was constantly sending him on the slowest, stupidest route possible. He was definitely always better off just going his own way). At least the exercise was warming him up, the sun yet to burn off the late spring morning’s chill.
He was only twenty minutes late, maybe Sanji would let him off easy for once? Zoro sighed inwardly, knowing that would never happen. It was going to be stupid to be yelled at about this, too, since they weren’t even doing anything where timing was all that important. They were just trying to find good birthday presents for Luffy. Zoro was kind of hopeless at presents while Sanji was always amazing at them, always picking out something thoughtful and custom-tailored to the recipient. Zoro most often showed up with an amazon gift card feeling completely stupid about it. Knowing this, Zoro had stealthily suggested they go hunting together so they didn’t, “buy him the same thing.” As if Zoro would ever give as good of a gift as Sanji would. He was actually surprised Sanji hadn’t seen right through him and refused, but the other had actually more-or-less readily accepted the idea. Zoro supposed there was a first time for everything.
The first time for Zoro to not make himself late, however, was not today.
After some wrong turns and two dead ends that might have actually been the same dead end twice, Zoro finally, finally saw the large fountain that marked the beginning of the city park come into view. He slowed his jog to a walk, glad he hadn’t yet broken a sweat. Couldn’t let Sanji think he actually cared about keeping their appointment. Not that it mattered what the cook thought, of course, but if he thought Zoro cared he might somehow get an even bigger head than he already had. Not that Zoro actually cared in the first place, too, of course. He hadn’t been looking forward to spending a whole day shopping with Sanji even a little. Not at all.
Zoro looked around the paved area, searching for Sanji amongst the small crowd mingling by the fountain. The day was still a bit crisp from the morning, but that didn’t seem to dissuade people as they gathered around the mouth of the park. Some were alone, some in groups, and others towed animals on leashes either walking the pets or clearly getting walked by them. Zoro surveyed the whole crowd, looking for Sanji standing off by himself, probably bent agitatedly over his phone with a cigarette in his mouth. None of the loners in the area fit his description though.
Had Zoro somehow actually made it here first after all? That didn’t seem even a little bit likely. He kept looking.
Finally, after a long moment of searching, he managed to spot him. A familiar head of blonde hair, a neat dress shirt, and long legs stood by the side of the fountain striking an impossible-to-mistake silhouette.
He wasn’t alone, though.
In front Sanji was an unfamiliar couple: some brunette girl holding the hand of an average looking boy. Was Sanji hitting on a stranger while her boyfriend was literally right there? Really?
Zoro’s face morphed into an unimpressed look. How classic. He really had no idea what he was expecting, offering to take Sanji around in public where he might run into females in the wild. A strong feeling of annoyance grew in his chest at just imagining the stupid drivel that must be spewing out of that mouth of his.
Zoro began to march over there with intentions to drag Sanji away by the ear when he suddenly stopped himself in his own tracks. His brows furrowed, studying the way Sanji was standing. His entire posture was eerily off. One hand was in his pocket while the other held a lit cigarette. His shoulders were tight and a little high, legs slightly farther apart than normal as if on defense. There was absolutely none of the easy oozing he exuded whenever he normally was chatting up some girl. He wasn’t swooning even a little.
Something was wrong. Something was very, very wrong.
A thrum of worry pulsed through Zoro. It wasn’t that he was worried about Sanji – he could take care of himself, plus, Zoro reminded himself, he didn’t give a fuck about him (how does he keep forgetting that?). Rather, he was worried about what kind of threat these two people could possibly pose to get someone as cool-headed as Sanji so visibly tense.
Looking at the two, he knew he couldn’t place the boy, but the brunette… did he know her? Her face was rather indistinct, no particular piece of it sticking out to him. Her clothes looked well-pressed, and they were probably fashionable, not that Zoro had any real frame of reference for that. Her brown hair was half tied up in two little buns on her head, the rest left to fall down past her shoulders. She just seemed like a completely random, normal person; an auto-generation of any other girl about their age in the city.
Then the girl laughed at something. The sound was shrill and obnoxious in a way that grated on every nerve Zoro had. He wanted to absolutely break something.
Oh. Oh. Ohhhh. Zoro knew exactlywho this girl was. He scowled at the memory.
She was some chick Sanji had dated for a while, maybe a couple months? A name itched at the tip of his tongue, but he couldn’t quite grasp it. Two months was considerably longer than most of Sanji’s little trysts. He had even brought her around to meet everyone once; it was kind of a big deal since they’re friends are not only their family, but also extremely likely to scare any normal person away. Sanji had really, really actually liked this girl, Zoro was pretty sure.
And then she dumped him.
She’d reportedly done it unceremoniously one night, completely out of the blue. She simply told Sanji that she was, “done with this relationship now,” and left. Zoro had heard that line a hundred times over in the weeks following as Sanji wallowed pitifully, hit hard by the sudden cold shoulder. It had not been a pretty sight in the slightest. The ever-enamored cook had eventually bounced back, like he always did, but it really had taken longer than usual. Even Zoro had felt sorry for the guy at the time.
And now here she was. A completely random encounter in a city filled with a thousand other people that could be here instead. And she had the nerve to do, what? Strike up a casual conversation with someone she herself had so soundly dumped, some new boy in her tow? Inching closer, Zoro just barely started to be able to hear them. It was clear even just from her tone that the words exchanged were more than awkward hellos. The girl was gushing about her boyfriend the businessman, annunciating the words as if she wanted the whole park to turn and listen. She played with some expensive looking necklace in a way that was definitely supposed to be noticed, certainly some token from her little purse-mule of a boy.
That kind of thing really pissed Zoro off. Dump someone for no reason? Fine, whatever. But then go shoving yourself at him? In public and at random? She had to know how Sanji was physically incapable of being anything but overly polite to women, abusing that to get her kicks. Zoro grit his teeth as he watched Sanji gush at her that she looked as beautiful as always, that he simply adored how her hair grew out since he’d last seen her, that he was so happy she was so well taken care of. Underneath the gushing Zoro could practically feel how upset this whole encounter made Sanji, a self-pitying tone sewn into each sentence. It was like he was a slave to his own actions. The girl clearly let her ego be boosted by his attention and that made Zoro even angrier.
Zoro eyed the boy she had tugged along. He may have been some business guy or whatever, but he certainly didn’t look very impressive. His haircut was basic, his jacket was a bit too big and made him look like he was playing dress up, and his expression seemed far away as if zoned out. Zoro had him beat in muscle and looks easily. Zoro’s shirt was tight against his well-built chest, his jeans were slung low to show just a peak of his boxers, he’d have a healthy little glow from his jogging, and he raked a hand through his hair to give it a little volume. He was fully aware of exactly how good he looked in comparison and just pissed off enough to decide he might as well use it.
He wanted to see if little miss ex could handle a taste of her own medicine.
“Oi, Sanji,” he called, finally making his way to the trio. Sanji’s shoulders jumped to his ears. Zoro thought he looked like an animal frozen in crosshairs, waiting for its instincts to lead it to fight or flee. He turned slowly to look at Zoro, his face in a very un-handsome expression of combined panic and agitation.
Zoro fought his instinct to give just as nasty an expression back knowing he was now being watched by the brunette; his little show had now officially begun. Instead, he gave Sanji an easy smile as he sauntered over to him, eyes only on him, pretending to not even notice the couple right in front of them. This, of course, only lead to Sanji scrunching up his face in incredulous confusion. If this idea was going to work Zoro was going to have to wipe that look right off him.
When he was beside him, Zoro slung an arm around Sanji’s shoulder, letting himself drape over the other. Sanji was only one centimeter shorter than him and just as strong, so it always surprised Zoro just a bit how slight his naturally thin frame felt in his arms. A small, stupid rush of protectiveness briefly filled his chest and for once Zoro indulged it letting himself draw Sanji close to him. Sanji went stiff as a board and his eyes blew open in surprise. Zoro took advantage of his surprise, not letting him even think about getting a kick in as he reached out with his other hand to grab hold of Sanji’s stubbled chin.
He drew the other in for a quick, soft kiss.
The sharp scent of tobacco filled Zoro’s senses, but underneath it lied the familiar aroma of spices that followed Sanji everywhere he went. The scent was familiar, but the feel of Sanji’s lips against his was new. For all the times he’d bitten a mark into Sanji’s pale flesh, nipping along skin usually hidden later by shirts, Zoro couldn’t actually remember them kissing. If they ever had, they certainly would never do it as gently as this. He counted to ten in his head, wanting the kiss to look real while still public-appropriate.
Zoro was perfectly prepared for Sanji to remain like cardboard, perfectly fine carrying the kiss by himself. Suddenly, though, as if some sort of switch had gone off, Sanji softened, easing into Zoro’s hold like butter into warm bread.
All at once Sanji’s plush lips gently pressed back, allowing his weight to fall where Zoro’s arms had guided it. The count in Zoro’s head faltered for a second, mind going dumb from shock. Zoro had kissed plenty of people before, was a damn good kisser himself, but somehow nothing had ever felt like this. There was something in the way Sanji relaxed into him, how perfectly their lips slotted together, and the sensory of the strong scents and rough stubble and pillowy softness of lips. It all made even such a simple kiss simply intoxicating. Had they really never done this before? Why the hell not?
At ten (or was it eleven? Twelve?) Zoro drew his head back, ending their kiss with the soft sound of lips parting. He didn’t go far, though, hand still on the other’s chin, their breath mixing in the space between them. He opened his eyes, not knowing when he’d closed them, to find Sanji staring at him with a dazed expression and a gentle, pink blush spread across his cheeks. Zoro couldn’t help but smile, a strange feeling like fondness welling up in his chest. It was probably just hormones, like always, reminding him of the other times he’d made the typically put-together Sanji blush in more heated circumstances. Yeah, that was it, had to be.
“Thanks for waiting,” Zoro said, for once owning up to being late. Sanji blinked owlishly at him, as if trying to place where they were and what they were supposed to be doing. At that cute look something compelled Zoro and he made no move to stop it, giving a sweet kiss to the bit of forehead poking out from blonde bangs as if in apology.
“Ahem?” an impatient voice said, jarring Zoro back into reality. When had he left? It was like he’d had complete tunnel vision. Now, though, the situation around him came back into sharp focus. The mild chill of the spring air, the bubbling fountain behind him, the obnoxious couple in front of him, the reason why he did what he just did. Yes, right, he’d had a reason for doing that. One, singular, solitary reason and absolutely no other. A mission, even. Right.
Zoro dropped Sanji’s chin, ignoring the tingle in his hand and the definitely non-existent desire to hold him elsewhere. He instead hooked his thumb in one of his belt loops and assumed a pose hanging off of Sanji who was now tucked rather snugly into his side. The girl had her arms crossed and looked huffy. He raised an eyebrow at the two, acting as if they’d been the ones to interrupt him. “Sorry, didn’t see you there,” Zoro said casually, just knowing an egotistical bitch like her would be bothered by that. Sure enough, the girl’s eye twitched just a bit. Zoro held back a smug smile at getting a reaction so easily. “And you would be?”
Indignation flashed in the girl’s eyes. Had Zoro asked that rudely? Oh, pardon him. She stood herself up to look taller, as if looking down on him despite being a few inches shorter. Zoro refused to be phased.
“I’m Alice,” the girl introduced herself, not bothering to introduce the boy with her. It was probably for the best as the boy’s eyes had followed Zoro’s thumb down to where it rested, clearly distracted.
“I’m sure Sanji has told you all about me,” she added with fake sweetness, an almost sadistic smile crawling up her face. Alice, right. Alice was definitely the name Sanji wailed into his empty wine glass when Zoro and the others had tried to take him out on a boys’ night to cheer him up. He actually used to kind of like that name, but now it was forever tainted with the memory of this haughty cunt in front of him.
Instead of admitting to the recollection, though, Zoro looked at her blankly. “Alice…” he said, as if mulling the name over. As if he needed to search long and hard to find any semblance of someone in Sanji’s past named Alice. “Hm,” he said at length, “no… I don’t really remember having heard about someone by that name. Have you ever mentioned an Alice, babe?”
Despite addressing him, Zoro didn’t dare look at Sanji’s face. Even just the hint of doubt or disbelief or anger from Sanji might be enough to shake Zoro off his game and have this all come crashing down more humiliating than when they’d started.
He looked at Alice, instead, who looked at him like he’d grown a second head. The very concept that Sanji might not have cried his heart out about her every day since their parting was clearly a new one. It made Zoro so happy to have so suddenly shut her down with just a few words.
“Hold on! W-we’ve met before!” Alice protested, apparently recognizing him now. Zoro noted that she didn’t wait for Sanji to confirm or deny if he’d ever deigned to mention her once their relationship had ended. Zoro wondered if she was scared to know. Hearing something like that from the man himself might just shake her precious little ego. Zoro would love to see that happen.
“Oh, we have?” Zoro asked mildly, showing a clear disinterest in whether they had or not. He pretended to mull the concept over in his head just as he had her name. He certainly remembered the party Sanji had brought her to. He remembered that it had sucked because her laugh was too annoying to ignore even from across the room and cross-eyed drunk. Finally, he shrugged simply, clearly not caring one way or another. “Guess it just wasn’t very memorable.”
At that Alice looked absolutely stricken, an arrow piercing directly into her pride. Bullseye, Zoro thought to himself, narrowly remembering to keep his face schooled. He so badly wanted to give her the same wolfish grin he reserved for his enemies at tournaments, but his own internal satisfaction would have to suffice.
In his peripheral, Zoro saw Sanji take a long drag off his cigarette. Hopefully that meant he was willing to quietly play along. Possibly it meant he thought Zoro had genuinely forgotten about her and that he was about to get pummeled into a paste in about five seconds.
“S-So then, you two? You’re together then?” Alice asked, clearly affronted and looking for something to refill her sails. Zoro wondered if she was beginning to consider him her replacement. He wondered how he measured up.
Suddenly, though, she seemed then to get herself a second wind, puffing herself up in her coat. Zoro refrained from frowning, if just barely. And here he’d been winning.
“It’s so adorable to see new couples, isn’t it Darek, sweetie?” she said sweetly, grabbing on to her boy’s sleeve. The boy in question nodded absentmindedly, eyes locked on where Zoro was oh-so-incidentally toying at the waistband of his boxers with his thumb. A charming one, wasn’t he? “We’ve been together for four months now. It’s just so hard to find the one you’re truly meant to be with, but so rewarding to know they’re all yours. How long has your cute little thing been going on for?”
So she was considering him to be her replacement. Moreover, it seemed clear that if that were the case, he’d be the winner. This was her alternative hypothesis, the situation that would set the world just a little bit more right than it was right then. If their relationship was new she could brush it all off as certain to be doomed in a week or two, as so many new relationship were. Well, he’d better set her little worries to rest, now shouldn’t he?
“This little love bug,” Zoro said, pressing a sweet kiss to Sanji’s cheek, forcibly holding the other’s shoulder’s down when they jumped, “Has been all mine since August.” Would he most likely be paying for “love bug” with his very life later? Yes, yes he would. But it was so, so very worth it to see Alice’s face as she did the math. Zoro distinctly recalled The Wailing Remembrance of Alice having begun in that hot and muggy summer month. Logically, then, that made Zoro one hell of a rebound, and one that stuck quite nicely, too.
Alice was clearly taken aback, her refilled sails deflating again catastrophically. The cutesie pda, Zoro’s complete disinterest in with her, and the dawning evidence that maybe Sanji hadn’t been so hopelessly lost without her was doing exactly the job Zoro had hoped it would.
“B-but I thought you two hated each other!” She cried, looking between the two and sounding a bit desperate, “That you couldn’t stand in the same room without arguing!”
She, of course, had seen firsthand at the party the animosity between the two. She also had probably had to sit through at least a couple sessions of Sanji bitching about whatever thing Zoro had done to purposefully annoy him. Well, Zoro figured, you know what they say: when in doubt, gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss.
“Oh?” Zoro said, cocking his head to the side, “Why do you say that?” He said it as if she was insane, as if she hadn’t seen their fights herself, as if they weren’t literally known for their arguments with each other. He said it like it was completely and entirely natural for them to be like this now. It helped that Sanji hadn’t moved an inch, hadn’t given a single physical sign that this wasn’t exactly what they usually did. He made it seem like he was perfectly comfortable being held close to Zoro’s chest. That it was where he belonged.
They had even, in fact, gone a whole five minutes without arguing.
Alice’s mouth opened and closed for a minute, her mind clearly trying to calculate and recalculate this encounter, but the numbers just didn’t seem to be adding up in her favor. Zoro almost pitied her, except that she had very much started it and brought all this upon herself.
Finally, she looked to her boy as if for some sort of support. All she found was that his attention was firmly on Zoro’s chest, eating up the eye candy readily. He even went as far as to lick his lips.
“Darek!” Alice scolded under her breath, scandalized, slapping his chest for attention.
“Ow!” Darek said, shocked out of whatever daydream he’d been having.
Zoro finally let himself give a toothy smile. He considered his damage officially done. Alice had clearly been knocked down a peg or two, and her little walking-wallet of a boyfriend had been reduced from oh-so successful businessman to just another ogler looking for the next pretty thing. This was a resounding victory.
Now for a victorious escape out of this situation as fast as possible.
“Come on, babe,” Zoro said, turning his head to nuzzle into Sanji’s hair. How did he always forget just how soft those golden strands were? “I’ve made you wait long enough. I owe you a date.”
Zoro smiled into the last sentence, making it sound like their “date” was the only thing on his mind. Like he’d been thinking all week long about getting to see the other, the thought being his lone reason to keep going day after day. Which couldn’t be farther from the truth, obviously. There had been absolutely zero percent of him that had put any emphasis on this little outing even once this past week. He hadn’t done laundry for the express purpose of having something he liked to wear, he hadn’t trimmed up his sideburns and played with different hair products all week, and he definitely was not currently wearing cologne. The smile was simply an affectation of the truth, just for the sake of the ruse. That’s it.
Before anyone had time to say anything more, Zoro gently ushered Sanji to turn away from the other couple. To his relief, Sanji went willingly.
“W-wha-hey! Wait a minute!” Alice blustered, stomping a foot.
“It was nice meeting you,” Zoro said, not even looking back at her, just waving his free hand slightly.
“I told you, we already met!” she fumed, but Zoro paid it absolutely no mind. He grinned like an absolute shark, amazed he was getting away with this.
“Wait!” She yelled again.
Then, she played dirty.
“Sanji,” she said, a whimper in her voice.
Sanji stopped dead in his tracks. Zoro did too, not wanting to have to actually drag the other. He closed his eyes and cursed in his head. They had been so close.
Sanji took a long drag off his cigarette. As he sucked in, the moment seemed to stretch out, becoming longer than it was before. Finally, he blew a long exhale, smoke leaving his mouth fluidly. He tapped the ash off the end of his cigarette, dropped it to the pavement, and ground it out with his toe.
Zoro didn’t look at his face. He didn’t want to see even an ounce of hurt from such a stupid, shallow, nobody of a girl. It was so ridiculous for someone like that to make someone like Sanji feel anything at all, let alone pain. It made bile rise in Zoro’s throat and blood rush in his ears, but he kept his cool. He’d tried his rescue strategy. This was now nothing but Sanji’s fight.
Sanji turned his head over their shoulders. Zoro expected whimpering or pitiful noises, or maybe simply his standard gushing. Assurances that Alice still lived in his heart, that she always would. He’d tell her that she was the most beautiful girl in the world, that nobody could compare, that he would never want anyone else more than he wanted her. Zoro felt an unusual nausea in his gut.
“It was good to see you, Alice!” Sanji called brightly, his tone clear of any whining or gooeyness, much to Zoro’s surprise. No hurt? No presentation of wounds? No flattery? No begging?
“I’m glad you’re doing well.” Zoro was nearly in shock; Sanji sounded completely genuine. Did he… get over her? Just now? In this moment?
He hazarded a look at Sanji’s face and found a brilliantly beaming smile that reached his clear blue eyes. It was a smile that could put a thousand suns to shame, a smile that could launch a thousand ships, a smile worth the world over in gold and then some. Somehow, Sanji was really, truly happy.
Something inside Zoro absolutely melted and something else bloomed warm in his chest.
Before Zoro could even start to think about processing that, Sanji turned to him, and he was simply lost. For a brief second that stretched into minutes, days, years even, nothing else existed but him and Sanji and Sanji’s blue eyes shining back at him. He wanted nothing more than to kiss the beautiful man in front of him.
Then Sanji spoke, and Zoro forced himself out of that moment. Back to reality. Again, when had he left? He couldn’t recall.
“Come on, then, dearest,” Sanji jeered, his eyes now gleaming mischievously and smile saccharine sweet as he prodded. Zoro cognitively knew that he was always annoyed by that expression yet couldn’t seem to summon up the actual feeling of being annoyed. “I believe you promised me shopping?” Zoro felt a hand slip into the far back pocket of his jeans.
Now they really did look like a disgustingly lovey-dovey honeymoon-stage couple out for a date. Sanji gave his ass a teasing squeeze, snickering as Zoro felt his whole face grow red hot. Who had initiated the touching again? It couldn’t possibly have been him. This was far too intimate for him to have started, surely.
Zoro gulped heavily and remembered that he had a part to play here. He once again ushered them forward down the street. The last thing he heard from the girl – her name already returning to a blank spot in Zoro’s mind – was her yelling at her boyfriend to get his jaw off the ground and stop drooling already.
Zoro let Sanji lead them down a couple blocks, dazed and distracted. During the whole encounter he’d kept himself perfectly calm, but now that it was over his heart was beating hard in his chest. He replayed the whole scene in his head, impossibly surprised that it actually worked. How in the hell had it actually worked? How had they passed so easily for an actual couple?
Zoro was still wondering at how miraculous their success was when Sanji broke his concentration.
“Hey, Zoro,” Sanji said, casually as can be, leading them down some sort of alley between buildings.
“Yeah?” Zoro grunted, freshly shaken from his thoughts.
“Could you do me a favor?”
“What do you want, shit cook?”
“Well, would you mind ever so terribly-“ Suddenly, a foot came flying at his face and Zoro was too startled to block it in time, “-GETTING YOUR BIG, DUMB GORILLA HANDS OFF OF ME!”
Zoro went flying into the wall of the alley, back hitting with a sharp snap of pain. He was fine, though, nothing he couldn’t brush off.
“What the hell was that for?” Zoro scowled. He peaked at the wall behind him; the brick was only cracked a little, just barely resembling the outline of a person. Nothing identifying, so it was fine.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” Sanji sneered, adjusting the collar of his button-up and dusting off his pants as if the mere presence of Zoro in his bubble was sullying.
“Heh, I can think of a few times you’ve liked me touching you just fine,” Zoro retorted, wiggling his brows suggestively.
“You’re such a pervert,” Sanji said with disgust.
“You’re one to talk, love cook, swooning after a girl with her boyfriend literally right next to her.” Zoro swiped his thumb under his nose, checking for blood and finding none. Nothing seemed broken, that was good.
“Hey!” Sanji protested, looking angry. Had Zoro gone to far with bringing it up already? He knew the situation wasn’t exactly typical. Still, the whole thing still kind of pissed him off, so why shouldn’t he talk about it? “I didn’t ask for your help back there!”
“Oh?” Zoro asked, a smirk coming to his face, “So you admit that what I did was helpful?”
Sanji’s face grew red, frustration and agitation clear. “Oh, go die in a hole, you moron.”
“Whatever,” Zoro shrugged, putting his hands in his pockets, and leaning against the cracked brick coolly, “I was just pissed off, that’s all.”
“You?” Sanji asked condescendingly, “What the hell did you have to be pissed off about?”
“Don’t like that girl, is all,” Zoro answered plainly, closing his eyes as he relaxed, his heart rate finally dropping back to normal after all the excitement. The physical distance from Sanji and the sting of pain had broken his strange headspace. He was feeling like his usual self again, now. No weird, overly emotional thoughts swirling around. “Didn’t like her when you talked about her, didn’t like her when you brought her around, and I didn’t like her when I saw her just now, either.”
Zoro could feel Sanji study him for a moment, as if trying to decide if he bought that. “And what exactly has she done to you to make you hate her so much?”
Zoro huffed, rather done with the interrogation despite it hardly having begun. “I just can’t stand her attitude, that’s all. She’s so holier-than-thou, and then goes around parading herself like she’s the best thing since sliced bread.” The nerve of that girl, honestly. Zoro worked up a little mucus in his mouth and spit at the ground. “She thinks she can just waltz around hurting people to make herself feel better. Pisses me off.”
“Hey, you can’t say that about a beautiful lady!”
“Oh, piss off,” Zoro said, rolling his eyes, “First of all as far as I could tell she wasn’t even that good looking, average at best.” He will fully admit to his radar being finely attuned to men only, though, so maybe he’s wrong, but she really didn’t seem like anything special to him. “And secondly you never would have taken that kind of crap from a guy. You would have kicked him to the moon and back the second he tried that shit. But with her, and every other woman ever, you let her walk all over you. Not exactly a good idea when the girl’s a grade-A bitch.”
They stood there in that alley for a long moment, Sanji just watching Zoro and Zoro just watching him back. They both knew he was right.
“Tch,” Sanji spat at length, “I was raised a ladies’ man, and that’s just how it is.” Zoro knew that, too. This wouldn’t change anything. He doesn’t know how it happened, but somehow that behavior just got hard coded into Sanji. It was fine except that it was annoying and opened him up so easily to those who would misuse his kindness. There weren’t many of Sanji’s exes that Zoro didn’t outright hate, now that he thought about it, and certainly none that he properly liked. Maybe that was why.
“And anyway,” Sanji cut in, breaking Zoro’s wandering thoughts, “Why the hell do you care how I’m treated anyway?”
What? Did he say that? No way he’d said that. “I don’t!” He didn’t! Zoro felt his face grow hot, which didn’t make any sense. This was stupid. “I-It’s just the principal of the matter, is all!”
“Oh really?” Sanji asked, clearly unconvinced.
“Shut the hell up, bastard,” Zoro snapped, now really well and truly done with this whole affair. He took a breath, cooling himself down. Sanji always got him so worked up it was stupid. “Whatever, believe whatever the hell you want, I already told you the truth. She was a cunt and that’s all there is to it.”
The words clearly ticked Sanji off, but that was good, got him distracted from whatever bullshit he was spewing about Zoro caring about him or something. Idiot.
“You know, you could really do with learning some good manners towards ladies.” Sanji scowled.
“Yeah, yeah,” Zoro said, waving off the idea for the billionth time. “Last time I treated a girl any differently she caved my head in with a stick. Won’t be making that mistake twice.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Sanji asked, making a dumb face as if Zoro had said some sort of convoluted metaphor.
“Forget about it,” Zoro dismissed, having not intended to bring Kuina into this. He shoved off the wall and decided it was time to get out of this alley and back to what they came here for.
“Whatever,” Sanji said, rolling his eyes, apparently too done with Zoro to bother to pry.
Zoro walked until he was passing Sanji by, heading toward the mouth of the alley. Sanji stood silently, looking like he was thinking about something.
Just as he passed, Sanji said something quietly, “She really was a bit mean, wasn’t she?”
Zoro stopped there, just in front of the other. He didn’t get it. He didn’t know why Sanji was like this. Why was it so impossibly hard for him to admit when a woman was bad to him? So inconceivable to fight back? It made Zoro so impossibly upset sometimes. But here he was with this one little admittance. This one time this one woman was a bit mean to him. Zoro shouldn’t shoot this down. He couldn’t bring himself to if he wanted.
“Yeah,” Zoro huffed, a bit of a smile playing on his lips with the magnitude of the understatement. “And stupid too,” he added.
“Stupid?” Sanji asked, hackles raised all over again, “What the hell do you mean by that?”
“Sheesh, isn’t it obvious?” Zoro asked, huffing a short laugh through his nose, “First she dates you, which already brands her as an idiot –“
“Hey!”
“- And then she brings around that chump as if he’s supposed to somehow make you jealous. Seriously, as if he’d ever hold a candle to you.” What a joke.
Sanji didn’t say anything to that, and Zoro looked back curiously.
Sanji was just staring at him, eyes a little wide and face dusted pink. “Hah?” Zoro questioned, one eyebrow quirked. “What, did I say something wrong?”
Sanji looked at him for a moment longer, the silence stretching between them yet carrying surprisingly little tension. Finally, Sanji seemed to shake himself out of it. “It’s nothing, moss-for-brains. And get out of my way,” he said, shoving Zoro by the face.
“Hey! Cut it out!” Zoro yelled, shoving Sanji’s hand off his face.
“Ah, deal with it, grass-head,” Sanji said, pulling out a cigarette and his lighter, “Let’s find whatever the hell kind of present Luffy would want already.”
Zoro grumbled but followed along, ready to get this errand over with and the weird events of ten minutes ago behind him. This event would be receiving absolutely no post-facto analysis. There wasn’t a single thought, feeling, or action that needed a second look at or processing time to rectify with his current world view, and he was eager to put it all out of his head.
“And hey,” Sanji said. Zoro sighed inward, sure this was going to be something weird about the thing that just happened, “Thanks.”
Yup. Weird. Weird, weird, weird. It was so weird for Sanji to thank him, he almost hated it. He did hate it. He absolutely definitely hated it. That must be what the rosy feeling in his chest was: hate for how weird it was.
“Yeah, well, you know,” Zoro said, shrugging the whole ordeal off as they did with almost everything that’s happened between them, “Don’t mention it.”
This, as so much else, would be their little secret.
A comfortable silence rested between them as they each took a moment to breathe.
“By the way, are you wearing cologne?”
“IN YOUR DREAMS!”

A/N: Hello dear @animequeen122 😊, this is my first time writing such a request, its cute tho, btw thank your for the support🙈
I didn't know if you wanted them as a scenario or headcanons, so i went with hc, i hope you enjoy it ~^^
---------------
Monster Trio finding out and dealing with their Female pregnant S/O Headcanons
Tumblr media
--------------
Tumblr media
Luffy:
You and Luffy were straight forward with each other
Like if you wanted to say or do something together, you say it aloud and bluntly
for example
If you wanted a kiss from him, you'd bluntly just call him from where you're sitting and tell him to kiss you the crew were used to it
Or during meal time he would ask you to feed him and you did so casually infront of everyone. Insert Sanji chocking
So that day, during lunch time, while you were eating, you suddenly felt nauseous and wanted to vomit
You covered your mouth and quickly ran out of the kitchen tossing the fork and knife on the table
Everyone was worried so Chopper called Luffy and both of them followed you
After you were done, Chopper told luffy to carry you to the sick bay
After doing so, Luffy waited outside with others
After doing some checkups with Chopper he told you that you're pregnant
You're eyes turned to stars as you excitedly jumped out of the bed chopper got freaking worried when you jumped like that
You opened the door and jumped over Luffy wrapping your arms around his neck and legs around his waist
"Luffy!!!! We're going to Be parents!!!" You exclaimed happily
"Haaaaaaa?!!!" Yelped Luffy with the rest of the Strawhats
You pinched his cheeks and streched them
"Luffy!! You're going to be a Gomu Gomu Father!!"
And now your flying in his arms
"YAHOOOOO!!!!!" He said as he spun you around
So your pregnancy period was quite fun For Luffy, especially that part when you woke up in the middle of night asking him to bring you sth to eat
He'd gladly join and even shares those weird cravings with you he think its delicious
When its finally the time, he wouldn't freak out, yes he's worried on you but he's so excited to see his Baby he wants to teach them how to fight, ends uo getting hit by Nami at the idea
When the Baby is finally between his arms, he snuggles into them and widely smiles at how beautiful they are.
Tumblr media
Zoro:
You usually have training seesions together
He would do his own workouts and you'd do some random exercises
Today, Zoro was looking for so you can do today's workouts, but he didn't find you
So he straightly went to the crow's nest and started doing his own workouts he knew you'd come anyways so he didn't mind it much
So when you finally came, you glanced at him with a wide grin on your face
"Oh you're late today.. everything's alright?"
You nodded and sat on the sofa
"Aren't you going to train" he was confused
" Well, Chopper told me to stop doing if for a while i shouldn't exhaust myself"
"Are you sick? Does it hurt anywhere?" Concern fills his face as he stopped what he was doing
He came closer and you smiled wider, you Literally took his hand and placed it on your tummy
" He told me to rest well for our tiny angle's sake"
Zoro's mind is going on Error 404
He stares at you with the most confused expression you had ever seen
"You're going to be a father baka marimo!" You exclaimed with a huge laughter.
So he's totally shocked
But Protective mode : ON
For the upcoming months he made sure you rested and eated well
Sure your pregnancy weird cravings at midnight drived him crazy but still
The idea of him being a father always cheered him up
So when it was that time where the baby is coming to this world
He was having a PANIC ATTACK
But the moment he holded the tiny figure in his arms, he was for sure the happiest swordsman on earth.
Tumblr media
Sanji:
Sanji was done with cooking and he's now cleaning the kitchen
But suddenly he hears Usopp calling out his name telling him to come here quickly
He comes out and before he could even speak Usopp yelped
"OI SANJI!!! I think you should stop what you're doing and head to the sick bay, (Y/N) just fainted few minutes ago!"
His heart dropped in his shoes, he ran to the sick bay tossing his apron on the floor
He smacked the door with the color drained from his face
But you were laying over there eyes barely opened and totally looked pale
He's worried as hell, what happened to you, you were fine just at dinner
So he seeks for an clear, quick explanation from Chopper note that Chopper had already informed you about it
" Don't worry Sanji, its nothing serious, (Y/N) will tell you everything" Smiled chopper as he left the sick bay.
He holded your hands and looked at you with that puppy expression
" Sanji... Sweetheart...would you prefer a girl or a boy?" You smiled tiredly
Sanji didn't get it, " W-what do you mean?" He questioned
You took his hand from your face and moved it to your tummy
" I'm sure our tiny angle will be the healthiest on earth if it had a father like you"
Unlike Zoro, Sanji got it now, and you swear you can see tears on the brim of his eyes
"am I...going to be ..a ..a father?" He wants to make sure
You nodded in agreement and you were showered with Kisses and tender hugs
And during your pregnancy you never felt tired, not even a little bit
Sanji didn't even let you to lift a feather
But sure he took you on healthy walks on Sunny's deck
So when the day finally comes, he's internally panicked, but he was worried on you the most
But when finally he carries the baby, he got too emotional and started crying too and so was the baby
Tho you were totally exhausted, but you laughed on how adorable the scene was

Original Plans
Law’s original plan - to die on Dressrosa - didn’t work out. Luffy’s original plan - to make Law accept his friendship - did work better than expected. There are just some bumps along the road.
Also on AO3:  here
When Torao first proposed an alliance to him, Luffy was elated. An alliance was basically a friendship and you could never have enough of those. Also Torao was a good guy, no matter what his other crew members said about him. They don’t call him the surgeon of death for nothing, Usopp had argued rather urgently and Luffy had brushed him aside. The Marines had called Luffy chaotic, completely nuts and even dead before, and none of that was true either. (Maybe he was a bit chaotic, but the other things were lies.)
Pirate alliances are marked by betrayal, Nico Robin had said, always the wise one of them, and so Luffy had asked Torao if he planned to betray them. He denied and really, that was enough for Luffy. If Torao had wanted him dead, he just didn’t have to show at Marineford. While Luffy wasn’t sure why he did show up at Marineford - Torao never gave simple answers to his questions, and thinking about what Torao gave as answers for too long made Luffy’s head hurt - he was sure that Torao wouldn’t have been there if he wanted Luffy to die. He did risk his own life and his entire crew on top of it. You don’t just do that out of a simple mood.
So an alliance it was. While Kaido was arguably the Emperor he knew the least of, he was still a better target than Shanks was. Maybe taking on Big Mom first would have been smarter, since he already started an argument with her on Fishmen Island, but Big Mom could wait. He would take her down eventually anyway and if Torao thought it would be smart to go after Kaido first, than Luffy would trust his judgement. Torso was smart after all. Also this seemed oddly personal to Torao. At least the part of the plan that involved Doflamingo did.
*
It turned out, Torao didn’t betray them at Dressrosa. At least not in the way his crew thought he would. He did try to end the alliance and by extent their friendship, which counted as betrayal in Luffy’s book. But he was unsuccessful, because Luffy would have never ended their alliance at this point anyway. There was a time and place, when they would have to part ways again, eventually. But it wasn’t on Dressrosa, not when Torao looked like he was ready to die and not when he tried to protect Luffy. (There was someone, in a somewhat distant past, who lost an arm to protect Luffy and someone, in a not so distant past, who did give his life to protect Luffy. He wouldn’t let it happen again.)
So no, Torao was not allowed to end the alliance. Which annoyed him, of course, but Luffy didn’t care. He could defeat Doflamingo without the elaborate plan Torao had made. He didn’t even remember most of it anyways, and he was somewhat sure, that the plan had failed the moment Luffy entered the coliseum in an effort to get Ace’s devil fruit back. Plans never worked out for him anyway, not in the way they worked out for Torao. He had a general idea of what he had to do and he would get it done. Somehow.
Maybe the Marines weren’t so far off, when they had called him chaotic.
But Luffy wasn’t upset now, because Torao betrayed their friendship. They would have to talk about that eventually, but it wasn’t the main issue. Torao was prepared to die in Dressrosa. He expected it, he probably even had his death integrated in his plan somewhere. (Maybe Luffy should pay more attention the next time a plan was presented to him.) And that was the most upsetting thing that happened to him since they entered the New World. Because Torao didn’t lack trust in Luffy or any of the Strawhats. He pretended he thought their were idiots and he looked like he lost hope in humanity when Luffy, Usopp and Chopper had fun on deck, but he really believed in and trusted them. He was confident they would still follow his plan after his death after all.He just didn’t think Luffy could defeat Doflamingo.
I would have been insulting, if Torao was any less scared about Mingo.
He never told Luffy why he was scared, he never even seemed scared. (Not like Usopp and Nami and most times even Chopper did.) But he was. He was scared and he went up against him anyways, fully prepared to die and Luffy hated everything about this.
„Why are you brooding here?“, a voice snapped him out of his thoughts and surprisingly, it was Torao. He would have thought if anyone came looking for him it would have Usopp. Zoro would have also been a likely candidate, if there were any less alcohol. But the drinks were flowing, so Zoro wouldn’t miss him for a while. Luffy wasn’t exactly a drinking buddy, he rarely drank alcohol as it was and that made him an uninteresting companion for Zoro at parties. Not that he minded, there were plenty of other people he could do plenty of other things with. Just Torao wasn’t really on the list.
„I’m not ‚brooding‘“, Luffy used his fingers to make air quotes, „I’m not you after all. I was just thinking.“
„That’s new“, Torao answered, sounding way more surprised than he had any right to, in Luffy’s opinion.
„I can think“, he protested, crossing his arms in front of his chest, while turning away from the other. And then, for good measure he slightly lifted his chin and added: „And my thinking doesn’t end in me dying either.“Which was probably something he shouldn’t have said out loud. Not like that. But it was also true and something he wanted to discuss with Torao anyways, so Luffy couldn’t find it him to regret saying it. (He did regret the way he said it, later, when he’d calmed down.)
„My survival wasn’t essential for the plan“, Torao informed him professionally. The same way he told Luffy not to exercise too much after he’d woken up on the submarine. The way he told Jinbei to keep an eye on Luffy, if he didn’t want the Strawhats to die. The very same way he told Rayleigh, that Luffy’s training would have to be postponed for a few weeks or else his stitches would tear. It made Luffy sick.
„Your survival was important for me“, he argued and Torao looked like wanted to say something to that too.Except that he didn’t. His mouth opened but no words came out and then Torao closed it again. Luffy waited a few more seconds, in case there was something to say after all. Makino might not have succeeded installing manners within him perfectly, but he knew the basics. He always let people say their piece. (Unless he was distracted by something.) When it didn’t seem like Torao found something he needed to say, Luffy talked instead.
„We’re friends and I like you. Usopp says you’re scary, but you’re really not. You saved my life at Marineford - “
„There’s no need to thank me for that“
„You saved my life at Marineford and I liked you ever since. You have awesome tattoos and a really cool bear in your crew and you’re really nice.“
„I’m really not“, Torao denied, but he sounded like he’s already given up that argument. At least he was learning. Slowly, but he learned. Luffy knew that that argument was just for show anyway. A reputation to uphold, or however Zoro phrased it. Not that Luffy had ever cared about reputations, his or those of other people. But if it was important enough for Torao to put in the effort, Luffy could respect that. So, no need to remind him that he did help all those children in Punk Hazard. Law still remembered it anyway.
„You’re my friend.“, Luffy said instead, because really Torao was very slow on the uptake on that. It didn’t matter that he didn’t want to call them ‚friends‘, they were friends anyway. Because Luffy said so and because he really liked Torao and because Torao seemed like he needed a friend. „Even though no one can say your last name“, he added as an afterthought, because a great as Torao was, he had the worst last name.
„Literally everyone but you can. And I’ve told you to just call me Law“, Torao shot back, tho it lacked any real fire. Like he was tired of arguing and was just accepting his fate. Good, he was Luffy’s friend no matter how often Luffy needed to remind him of that.
„I really like you“, Luffy told him, once again for good measure. He didn’t get a real answer from Law on that, but his cheeks got a light color, like Sanji’s cheeks did, when Nami or Robin complimented his food. Sanji was always really happy then, so Torao had to be really happy now. And Luffy just called him his friend. Which apparently Torao needed to hear that they were friends way more, if it made him this happy from just hearing it once.
„I really like you, too, Strawhat-ya“, Torao mumbled and he couldn’t even look him in the eye, but that was alright with Luffy. If Luffy brought it up in front of his crew, Torao would probably deny ever having said that, like Zoro denied being worried about Sanji, too. But that didn’t matter, because Torao had said it and that made Luffy happier than almost anything in recent memory. (Sabo still being alive was a big thing, that made him happier than he ever remembered being, but that was the only other thing. Even Sanji’s cooking didn’t come before this and Sanji’s cooking was perfect.)
„Okay, so no more plans that would have you die. You’re too important for me to just let you die. Okay?“, Luffy insisted and Toraos eyes glazed over like he remembered something very important and very far away. Luffy knew that feeling so he allowed Torao the few seconds he very obviously needed, before he inquired again: „Okay?“
Torso seemed like he was abruptly thrown out of something rather intense, but he didn’t seem mad. One side of his lips quirked upwards, as if he wanted to smile, but it didn’t become a real smile. Which was another problem that Luffy would tackle eventually. (He’s seen Torao smirk plenty of times but he couldn’t remember one genuine smile.) For now, Torao’s insurance that, yes, he wouldn’t bet his life this easily again would have to be enough. He didn’t want Torao to promise to survive. Not like Ace did, not again. But he wanted Torao to do his best, to see him become the pirate king. Torso smirked again, at that, and mocked Luffy for being too sure of himself.
„What if I find the One Piece before you do?“, Torao asked, clearly not as serious as he pretended to be. But he was lighthearted again, the tension in the air completely dissolved, so Luffy could humor him. Torao had asked an important question, after all.
„You won’t. But I will still really like you, even when I’m King of the Pirates.“
And somehow, Law seemed really happy about this. Maybe, liking Torao more than originally planned would work out for Luffy, after all.

Can I request Zoro and his s/o just having a family day with Chopper? Like bathing together and napping together.
(WHOLESOME)
The night before, Chopper had sheepishly asked if he could sleep with you and Zoro because of the thunderstorm raging outside (he ate the Hito-Hito no Mi, but his animalistic instinct makes him startled and scared whenever storms happen). You two had woken up snuggled together, with Chopper nestled between you and Zoro.
To make him feel better, you offered to spend the rest of the day with him while it continued to rain outside. He gladly said yes, and the three of you left to go have breakfast with the rest of the crew. Sensing that Chopper was in need of some extra TLC, Sanji had made a stack of pancakes just for him with a little cotton candy garnish. He WAS going to tell Zoro to make his own damn breakfast, but...he's a crewmate first and a Marimo second. Plus, if you're a woman, he doesn't want to risk upsetting you. Zoro eats his pancakes with his hands, and when he saw that you had a bit of maple syrup on your face he straight-up licked it off your cheek; he's quite affectionate in his own casual (and to some people, kind of gross) way.
Chopper grabbed some of his books from the library and followed you and Zoro to the crow's nest, where Zoro prefers to train, if he's stuck indoors (normally he would train outside, even in the rain, but he doesn't want to make Chopper go out there because he doesn't like storms). Chopper sits next to you on the couch and reviews his anatomical knowledge by showing you the diagrams in his books; he likes pointing out what Zoro's body is doing with every exercise, and it's amazing how he's able to pronounce some of the names of muscles and body parts--much less remember them all!
Normally Zoro doesn't shower after training, but he decides that he wants to something "special" today. Zoro you absolute gremlin, bathing is not a special occasion. And of course, he invites you and Chopper to join him in the Sunny's giant bathtub. There are a metric ton of bubbles after Chopper pours them into the tub, just the way he likes it. Despite the ample room in the bathtub, the three of you stay close together. You're rubbing shampoo into Chopper's fur, and Zoro's behind you washing your hair and back--and pretending he's washing himself when in reality he's just sitting in the bath water, only occasionally dipping his head down to "wash" his hair.
The three of you come out of the bath smelling sweet and sugary like cotton candy (even Zoro!), and after getting dressed and having lunch with the rest of the crew, you all get into a cuddle puddle together in the extra large hammock that you and Zoro share. When Usopp comes up to let you all know that dinner's ready, he sees the three of you all cuddled up and sleeping soundly and has to bite his to keep his "Awwwww" from waking you up.
He silently motions for Franky and the others to see, and Franky immediately takes a bunch of photos to capture this SUPERRRR adorable moment. You only find out about the pictures after wandering into his workshop one day and seeing them on the wall alongside some other nakama/family photos. Your head's in the crook of Zoro's neck, he's got his arm around your waist and Chopper's (he's protective even in his sleep). Chopper's curled up next to you, smiling in his sleep. And the three of you have a blanket on top of you, with Chopper's face and head just barely peeking out under the covers. It's without a doubt the cutest photo you've ever seen.

Matchup for @jordimac33
I’m very excited I made it! Thank you Hazel!! 💕
My name is Jordan, but all my friends call me Jordie. I’m 23 and 5'10". I’m bisexual. My Myers Briggs is INTP, and my zodiac sign is Cancer (everytime I open my horoscope it feels like a personal attack). I have brown eyes with glasses, and short brown hair shaved along the sides & back. I have a couple of stray freckles around my chin and down my shoulders. I played Ice hockey up until college so I’m still pretty lean. Hockey made my legs pretty strong & thick and they’re probably my favorite feature on myself. I’ve got two really big passions in my life, baking and my friends & family. Baking is something that has always brought me a lot of joy, and it’s something I can share with the people that I care about. I was always a firm believer that my love language to others was gift giving, especially with food. Everytime someone is feeling low or upset pastries have a way of appearing. It’s something I can see myself doing happily for the rest of my life, so I’m trying to make a career out of it. I’m my 2nd year of a pastry program in culinary school, so I’m constantly trying different recipes out on my friends and coworkers. When I’m not baking up a storm, I’m normally burning through any book I can get my hands on. History and fantasy adventure stories have always been my favorite. I come from a pretty big family that saw each other regularly, so I’ve come to love the chaos. Being that close really made me treasure my friendships as well. Family & friends always come first for me, it doesn’t matter what I’m doing i’ll drop it to be there for them. I’m normally the one people head to for comfort/advice, and I thrive off of that. I’m not always comfortable being in the foreground, but I absolutely love being able to support the people who are. My biggest fear is probably being alone, I flourish in environments with lots of people I care about. I hate the thought of being left behind.
I hope I hit all the points you needed, sorry if I’m long winded! 😬 Thank you again Hazel!! 💕

Hiya Jordan (can I call you Jordie?) Dont worry about being long winded, the more info I get the better! :D The baking talents sound amazing (and now im hungry TwT ) I hope you like these matches for you! I match you with...

Into sweets? Big family? A lot of chaos? Unwavering loyalty? I think all the marks get checked right here! Your pastries are a great way of winning him over, breaking that stoic first wall and getting him to trust and eventually love you. The biggest hurdle is allowing you to see his face, and from there on out, it’s pretty much smooth sailing.
Despite his hard exterior and overwhelming power, Kata is pretty insecure and a softie once you get closer. He loves and admires your cooking, preferring it over whatever the chefs make, because of the secret ingrediënt only you can provide: love. You’re the only person ever to be invited to his merienda.
Once you get past the initial hard exterior, you will find that he can be pretty affectionate. Usually not in public but within the walls of your own home you can unleash all the affections you have, and he will carefully reciprocate, treating you with utmost care and softness. He gets easily flustered whenever you initiate even a cuddle session but will never reject you or let you down, after all, he likes it too.
He loves that you adapt to such a big family so well and get along with everyone so easily. No matter how weird or dysfunctional this family is sometimes, Katakuri does care about his siblings and the fact that you somehow feel comforted in the chaos does make him happy. The fact that you are so supportive and someone everyone in the family can come and talk to makes you fit in perfectly and all around loved!
Dates, besides the obvious baking and tasting include long walks around the various islands, just for exercise since you both like some activity, as well as letting you find all kinds of new flavors and ingredients that are so prominently available on the many islands! Katakuri likes to take you to Big mom’s huge library every now and then. He himself is not really an avid reader, but can stare for hours as you lose yourself in the endless bookcollection that there is.

Runner up: Nico Robin
Tumblr media
A shared love for books and history, the two of you can speak for hours about diverse topic, have intense yet polite discussions, and a whole array of inside jokes. Honestly, you two could spend hours upon hours talking and never get tired nor bored of each other. Anyone listening in on a conversation would either be gravely disturbed, thoroughly confused of have no idea what either of you are talking about, and purposfully picking the most strange things to talk about in places where others can overhear it just to shock them slowly becomes a hobby, even if neither of you has every explicitly said that the goal was to disturb eavesdropping people.
You both like being supportive in the background, the caretakers of the crew so to say, and are usually the first ones the crew comes to when it is actual advice they need. You’re also each other’s first line whenever either one of you need help.
Why she’s not the one: Robin can endure chaos very well, is even amused by it, but in the end, she thrives in solitude and needs time to herself quite often to be able to give her all to you. In those times, she can be a little cold, and even though it’s nothing personal, it is not ideal for someone who thrives on companionship.

BrOTP: Sanj
Tumblr media
Silently supporting your friends in the background with love; strong legs and heaps of great food. Sanji and you bond over food and make a hobby out of coming up with new desserts; one more creative and insane than the other, each and every single one of them tasty, great looking and still relatively nutricious.
You are the first one in the background waiting with a towel to throw at his face the moment he loses control over the bloodflow to his nose when he spots someone to swoon over and the first one to drag him back into the kitchen where both of you thrive.
Favorite pastime is doing challenges: think of the most insane cooking shows with desserts you’ve seen and now apply that craziness to the both of you, some timers and your crew/friends in the background as the jury both to keep an eye on you following the rules and as taste-testers (after all there will be no food wasted).

Not Married
ZoSan Month 2019  Week 2: Dual Guardianship  Mentions of Franky/Robin  Modern-day AU
(This one got kind of long!)
They’d lived in the same apartment---budget reasons, of course---for years. Sanji cooked and Zoro cleaned and they took turns taking out the garbage and recycling. Sanji complained about Zoro dripping sweat on the floor when he exercised and snoring when he slept, and Zoro complained about Sanji leaving magazines catering to a particular clientele lying around the house and how loud he would get after barely a glass of wine. In arguments, Zoro never failed to point out that he brought in more money to the house, annoying Sanji to no end, and Sanji never failed to point out that Zoro would probably die of malnutrition if he didn’t live with such a good cook, annoying Zoro to no end. All in all, they got along just fine and coexisted in peace---as friends and nothing else.
“Oh, weird,” Zoro said, shutting the door behind him and sitting at the table as he studied the mail.
“What’s up?” Sanji said, not turning around from the stir-fry at the stove. “How was work?”
“Robin sent me something,” Zoro said, ripping open the envelope and shaking out the letter now torn in two, unfolding the pieces and putting them together. “It was fine.”
“Who’s Robin?”
“Distant cousin. We hung out a lot when I was younger. We still get drinks sometimes.” Zoro squinted at the letter. “God damn it, I hate cursive. She knows I’m dyslexic.”
“Give it here,” Sanji said. He took the pan off the heat, turned off the stove, and went to the table. Zoro scowled and handed him the two halves of the letter, which Sanji held together and skimmed.
“‘Dear Zoro,’“ he read aloud. “‘Franky will be overseas for a few days, and I received an invitation for an archaelogical dig that I can’t turn down. We’ll both be out of town until Franky comes back. Would you be available to watch Chopper? Love, Robin.’“ Sanji looked over the letter at Zoro. “Who’s Franky and Chopper?”
“Husband and kid. So she wants us to watch him for a few days?” Zoro frowned. “Weird, his great-grandparents usually take him."
“Maybe they’re busy with doctor stuff,” Sanji said, setting the letter on the table.
Zoro looked up. “How’d you know they’re doctors?”
“You mentioned one time---something about having relatives who’re married doctors. I just guessed.”
“When did I---? That was a year ago. You remembered?”
“So, you think we could watch the kid?” Sanji asked. “How old is he?”
“Seven. I think?” Zoro frowned. “I guess we could watch him. He’ll need a sleeping bag.”
“Hmm, yeah. Is he going to school yet? When does the school year start?”
“I don’t know. I can probably take him if it’s far.”
“You’ll make him late.”
“Shut up.” Zoro stood and vanished into his room, coming out with a pen and a fresh sheet of paper. He bent over it and started writing. “Proofread this when I’m done.”
“Sure, sure.” Sanji stood and went back to the counter, taking out two plates and forks and doling out the stir fry, bringing the plates to the table. “Eat up while it’s warm.”
Three days later, Sanji looked up at a knock at the door. He turned down the heat on the stove and hurried over, opening it.
“Hello, you must be Sanji,” said the woman standing outside with the suitcase.
“Yes, I am! May I ask what your name is?” Sanji exclaimed, smiling. “Please, come in!”
“My name is Robin. Didn’t Zoro tell you the situation?”
“Oh, so you’re---! Yes, excuse me, it’s great to meet you,” Sanji said, shutting the door behind her. “Zoro’s---hey, idiot, get out here!”
Zoro emerged from his room, yawning. “What?” he snapped. His eyes fell on Robin. “Oh, hey. I was sleeping.”
“You don’t keep a lady waiting,” Sanji snapped.
“Come on, it couldn’t have been more than a minute---”
“It’s good to see you, too,” Robin said. She held out her arms and let Zoro approach first before hugging him. “I’m just here to drop off Chopper.”
“Where is he?” Sanji asked.
Robin laughed, looking down. “He’s right here.” For the first time, Sanji noticed a small child sticking out from behind Robin’s legs, head and hands obscured behind her. “Chopper, come out and say hi.”
A hand stuck out and waved before disappearing again.
“Hey, Chopper, haven’t seen you for a while,” Zoro said, kneeling. “You ready for a three-day sleepover?”
Chopper fixed himself so only his hands and head poked out now. He nodded, curly hair and pink hat bobbing.
“He does have school. It might be close enough to walk, but if either of you . . .” Robin turned to Sanji. “If you can drive him, that would be better.”
“I can drive!” Zoro snapped, straightening up. “Don’t leave me out!”
Robin gave him a pitying look. “Yes, but . . .” She trailed off and turned to Sanji again. “Anyway, I’ll write down the address. Do you have a pen?”
Sanji left to fetch writing supplies and Robin turned back to Zoro, all smiles. “So, you two get along fine?”
“Yeah, as good as ever,” Zoro said, rolling his eyes. He knelt again. “You have a sleeping bag, right? You can sleep wherever you’re comfy.”
Chopper nodded and hid again as Sanji came back. Robin wrote down the address and talked to Sanji about nutrition before turning and kneeling.
“I’ve got to go now,” she said, running fingers through Chopper’s hair. “Papa’s gonna come by to get you in three days. Ask Cousin Zoro if you need anything.”
Chopper hugged her, and she kissed his nose and stood again. With a last wave goodbye, she left, shutting the door gently behind her.
“You wanna watch TV or something?” Zoro asked.
Chopper nodded. He looked at Sanji again and turned away, hiding his face behind his hands. Sanji looked at Zoro, frowning, and Zoro mouthed He’s shy. Sanji nodded and returned to the stove, stirring the sauce. Zoro and Chopper sat on the couch, and Zoro handed Chopper the remote. After finding a documentary about the history of medicine, Chopper scooted closer to Zoro and settled down, eyes glued to the screen.
They sat down for dinner soon and dug into the meal of homemade pasta with red sauce, Zoro’s and Sanji’s with meatball chunks and Chopper’s vegetarian. As soon as Chopper dug in, his eyes lit up and he ate with gusto, making Sanji smile.
“S’okay,” Zoro grunted, though he too was stuffing his face.
Sanji scowled and grabbed a napkin. “You’re so messy,” he snapped, leaning forward and wiping away the pasta sauce smeared on Zoro’s chin. “Who taught you to eat?”
“Leave me alone,” Zoro grumbled, returning to his food. Chopper’s eyes darted between them, but he said nothing and continued eating.
He started yawning soon after dinner and went to his suitcase, pulling out pajamas and a dental care kit. Zoro directed him to his bathroom and Chopper disappeared to change.
“So what’s with his nose?” Sanji whispered as soon as the door shut. “It looks blue. Is he sick?”
“He was born like that,” Zoro whispered back. “No one knows why.”
“It doesn’t bother him?”
“No, but I think he gets teased at school for it. Don’t mention it in front of him.”
“I know that, I’m not an idiot.”
“Could’ve fooled me.”
“Shut your mouth---”
“You first---”
“Mossy-hair moron---”
“Stupid eyebrows---”
“Muscle jackass---”
“Princely loverboy---”
The door opened and they both turned. Chopper was staring at them, now in pajamas, and he held up his sleeping bag.
“Sorry, shouldn’t have raised our voices,” Zoro said. “Where do you wanna sleep? The living room, my room, or the cook’s room?”
“I have a name,” Sanji snapped as Chopper looked between them, puzzled. He eventually pointed to Zoro.
“Go get your shit set up, I’ll be there soon,” Zoro promised.
“Don’t swear in front of him!” Sanji exclaimed. “What is wrong with you?!”
“Oh, yeah. Don’t tell your mom I said ‘shit,’” Zoro told Chopper, who smiled and nodded before disappearing back into the bedroom. Zoro stretched and went to the kitchenette, walking past an exasperated Sanji. “I’ll get the dishes. You going to bed or staying up?”
“I’m gonna try the crossword, then I’ll go to bed,” Sanji said. “Gotta be up early to drive Chopper to school.”
Zoro scowled. “I’m taking him day after.”
“Like hell you are.”
Zoro woke up the next morning to find that Chopper had climbed into bed with him. He blinked sleep out of his eyes and shook him. “Hey,” he whispered. “School time. Go get some breakfast.”
At the same time Chopper started waking up, Sanji opened the door, fully dressed. “What do you want for breakfast?” he asked Zoro and Chopper. Seeing the situation, he grinned. “Hey, idiot, you’ve got a new brother. Uh, we’ve got cereal, eggs, toast . . . ?” Chopper nodded. “Toast?” Chopper nodded again. “Do you want butter or jam?” Chopper held up two fingers. “Okay, toast with jam, coming right up. Get dressed.”
Sanji shut the door again and Zoro crawled out of bed, going around Chopper. He helped him down and said, “I don’t have to work till later, so I’m not getting dressed right now. Come out when you’re ready.”
“Okay,” Chopper whispered. Zoro nodded and left, sitting at the table.
“Eggs,” he said. “Two, scrambled, none, both.”
“Coming up.” Sanji got out the eggs and bread while Zoro opened the newspaper, reaching for his reading glasses and bringing the paper close to his face to read the small print. By the time Chopper came out of the bedroom, fully dressed and a backpack around his shoulders, a plate with two toast slices spread with strawberry jam sat at the table.
“Eat up, we should go soon,” Sanji said to him. Chopper nodded and set his backpack down, sitting at the table and nibbling his toast.
“Anything interesting?” Sanji asked as he handed Zoro his breakfast: Two scrambled eggs with no sauce and both salt and pepper.
Zoro grunted something that might have been a thank-you, and then something that might have been a no. He grabbed his fork with one hand and started eating, still holding the paper close to his face with the other hand.
“Oh, wow, you were hungry,” Sanji said, noticing Chopper’s plate was empty. “You want anything to drink? Orange juice, milk, water? You don’t drink coffee yet, do you?”
Chopper made a face and shook his head, holding up one finger.
“Orange juice? Okay.” Sanji got him a glass. “You want anything else to eat?” Chopper shook his head. “Ready to go?” Chopper nodded. “Cool.” Sanji tapped the table and Zoro looked up. “We’re heading out. Don’t forget the lunch I made you, and don’t break anything.”
Zoro ripped the newspaper in two at the crease and dropped the pieces to the table, folding his arms and staring at Sanji.
“What are you, twelve? Dick,” Sanji snapped. He turned and went to the door. Chopper giggled and waved goodbye, waiting for Zoro to return the gesture before he ran after Sanji, hitching his backpack up on his shoulders.
The drive to school was short, but slow due to the morning commute from other parents and guardians. During another idle at a stoplight, Chopper turned to Sanji and said, “Um . . . Mr. Sanji?”
“Just Sanji is fine,” Sanji said, smiling at him. “What is it?”
“Sorry. Sanji? Why don’t you and Zoro wear rings?”
“Rings?” Sanji repeated. He checked the light. “Well . . . I don’t really wear jewelry, and as for him . . . I don’t know. I’ve never seen him wear any decorations besides his earrings.”
“Why do you have separate rooms?” Chopper asked.
The light turned green and Sanji drove forward, turning into the drop-off area. “Why do we have---? Why would we share a room?”
“You’re married, aren’t you?”
Sanji turned the car sharply into a parking spot and turned to Chopper, who flinched. “Whoa, whoa, sorry,” he said, trying to relax into his seat. “I---what do you mean, we’re married?”
“You . . . you aren’t married?” Chopper said, eyes widening. “But you . . . you seem so . . . ? I thought you just lost your rings or took them off, and the rooms was, was because you wanted privacy, or . . . ?”
“We’re friends,” Sanji said firmly. “We are not married. At all. Not even a bit. We’re not in love. We’re not married.”
“Okay, I’m sorry,” Chopper said, though he still looked at Sanji with knowing eyes. He unbuckled himself and got his backpack. “Um . . . are you or Zoro coming to get me?”
“I was going to, but Zoro might. We’ll figure it out. Have a good day.”
Chopper climbed out of the car and waved before turning around and trotting to the nearest building.
“Married,” Sanji muttered, backing out of the parking lot and driving out of the school campus. “Ridiculous. What made him think we’re married?”
He made it to the barbershop where he worked and disappeared into the back room to change into his uniform.
On his way back from work, walking home, Zoro glanced at the elementary school he sometimes passed and noticed a familiar pink hat. He hurried into the school yard and approached Chopper.
“Hey, you,” he said. Chopper looked up and grinned. “School’s out?”
“Yeah!” Chopper exclaimed. “Just now! Are you picking me up?”
“Yeah, just . . . lemme call the cook first.”
They found a phone inside and Zoro dialed Sanji’s work number.
“We’re not married,” Sanji said as soon as he picked up the phone.
“What’s that?” Zoro said. “It’s me. Who were you talking to?”
“Oh. Uh, no one. What is it?”
“I’m bringing Chopper home. We’re walking.”
“Oh, thanks. I’m finishing up here. What do you want for dinner?”
“I dunno. Seafood?”
“Ask Chopper what he wants.”
Zoro did so. “He says potatoes and tofu.”
“Got it. See you soon.”
Zoro hung up and turned to Chopper. “Okay, let’s go.”
“Are you sure you’re not married?” Chopper said as they started walking.
“Me? I’m not married. Why?”
“I told Sanji this morning, that you guys were married,” Chopper said. Zoro frowned. “And he acted weird and said no, even though it’s true.”
“But we’re not married,” Zoro said. “Just because we’re living together . . . we’re just friends. Why do you think we’re married?”
“You act like Mama and Papa,” Chopper said.
“How so?”
Chopper shrugged, and didn’t bring it up the rest of the way back. When they returned, Sanji was already at the stove, fixing dinner.
“Hi, idiot,” he said to Zoro. “And hi, Chopper.”
“Hi!” Chopper said. “I’m gonna do my homework. I only have a little bit.”
“Good, good,” Sanji said absentmindedly. “We’re not married, by the way. Zoro, thanks for getting him.”
“Yeah,” Zoro said, sitting on the couch and setting down his bag of self-defense equipment. Chopper went to his bedroom to sort through his things, and Zoro said, “I heard about what Chopper said to you this morning. He told me the same thing.”
“The nerve of him,” Sanji said, shaking his head. “We’re not married. What about us even resembles the concept?”
“You got me. I mean, we’re definitely not married, so it’s weird. Hey, wanna watch anything tonight?”
“Nah, not tonight,” Sanji said as Chopper came back out with papers and a pencil. He held out his math homework to Zoro, staring.
“What’s up, you want help?” Zoro said. Chopper nodded and they sat at the table together. “Okay, so . . . when you multiply fractions, you start by . . . ?”
“Can we play chess after this?” Chopper asked. “If you have a chessboard. Mama’s been teaching me to play, but at school I don’t . . . no one else wants to play.”
“I’ll play, but you should finish this first so you don’t stress later,” Zoro said patiently. “So tell me how you multiply fractions.”
Chopper frowned. “Um, first you take both top parts . . .”
“Right, and what do you do with them?”
“Here you go,” Sanji said, placing Chopper’s dinner in front of him. Chopper looked between the food and his homework, alarmed. “You can eat and work at the same time if you want.” Chopper relaxed and nodded, grabbing his fork and starting on the tofu with his left hand while scribbling in the margins with his right. He and Zoro continued working through each problem, though Chopper only needed gentle reminders for a few problems.
“Here’s yours,” Sanji said, giving Zoro his dinner. Zoro started eating while Chopper looked up at Sanji.
“You’re so good at cooking,” he exclaimed. He put the last bite of his food into his mouth.
“He’s okay,” Zoro muttered.
“Thanks,” Sanji said, straightening up and smiling. “Glad to see you didn’t get any ungrateful genes from this guy’s side of the family.”
“Who’re you calling ungrateful?”
“Who’re you saying’s just okay at cooking?”
Chopper ducked his head, returning to his homework while they bickered and Zoro stuffed his face. By the time Zoro had finished his dinner, Chopper pushed aside his papers and said, “I’m done! Can we play chess?”
“Yeah, of course,” Zoro said. After making sure Chopper didn’t need more food, Sanji went and fetched the chessboard and pieces from his room, setting them up on the table.
“Actually, Chopper, do you wanna play me first?” Sanji asked. He looked at Zoro. “You still need to clean up.”
“Let’s play,” Chopper exclaimed. Zoro stood and went to the kitchen, scooping up pots and pans and utensils and tossing them into the sink. He poured dish soap onto the sponge and began scrubbing as Sanji and Chopper started their game.
Zoro was finished soon enough, and turned around, saying, “Hey, cook, you had your dinner, right?”
“Of course I did,” Sanji said. Only he and Chopper didn’t notice the faint growling coming from his stomach as he spoke. “Who do you take me for?”
Zoro turned around again and opened the fridge. Seeing that Sanji had gone and forgotten his own lunch that day, even after reminding Zoro about his, he sighed and got it out, bringing it to the table and sitting next to Sanji. Taking out the fork, he cut up the sandwich into bite-size pieces and speared one, holding it out to Sanji. Sanji automatically opened his mouth to accept the food, not taking his eyes off the chessboard as he chewed. It was in this way he was able to have a good meal and end the chess game in a draw simultaneously.
“Good game,” he said, smiling and looking at Chopper with Zoro. Seeing that he was staring at both of them, he and Zoro said together, “What?”
“Nothing,” Chopper said. “Zoro, can we play next, before bedtime?”
“Yeah,” Zoro said, switching seats with Sanji. “We’re not married, by the way.”
“We’re absolutely not married,” Sanji agreed. He stood to pack his and Zoro’s lunches for the next day while Zoro and Chopper set up the pieces again.
About halfway through the game, Chopper started yawning, and Zoro looked up at him. “Wanna finish tomorrow?” he asked. “You can write down whose turn it was.”
Chopper nodded. He reached down and got out a blank piece of paper from his backpack, scribbling the note, and hopped down from the table, going to Zoro’s bedroom to change and brush his teeth.
“Hey, no,” Zoro said, noticing Sanji had finished the lunches and was pulling open the wine cabinet. He stood. “You’re not drinking when Chopper’s here.”
“Why’s that? You’re not my boss,” Sanji snapped.
“Because you need to drive him tomorrow and you completely lose it after one glass.”
“I do not!”
Zoro shut the cabinet and folded his arms, standing in front of it. “I’m prepared to fight you.”
“I’d like to see you try,” Sanji said, drawing his arms close to him and circling Zoro like an angry cat.
When Chopper came out to say goodnight, he found Zoro and Sanji locked in a petty brawl, Sanji kicking and Zoro blocking with his arms.
“I teach self-defense, and you think you can beat me?” Zoro snarled.
“Try growing up surrounded by shitty people in a shitty neighborhood!” Sanji snapped. “The number of times I’ve almost been mugged---!”
“Can you teach me to fight like that?” Chopper exclaimed, eyes shining.
“When you’re older,” they said together. “Go to bed.”
Chopper pouted and disappeared back into the bedroom.
When Zoro and Chopper emerged into the main area, ready for breakfast, they found Sanji fast asleep at the table, a half-finished crossword in front of him. Zoro rolled his eyes and went to him, shaking his shoulder.
“Get up, stupid, it’s morning,” he said. Sanji blinked and sat up, squinting.
“Oh, fuck,” he exclaimed, his eyes widening. He looked at Chopper. “Don’t tell your parents I said ‘fuck.’ God damn it---don’t tell them I said that, either---”
“You told me not to swear in front of him,” Zoro said smugly. “You fell asleep doing puzzles again?”
“Shut up!” Sanji pushed back his chair, wincing every time he moved his head. “What time is it?!” Zoro told him and he sighed. “Time for breakfast. Okay. What do you guys want?”
“Eggs and toast,” Zoro said. “Two, scrambled, Tabasco, salt, one, butter.”
“Um, me too,” Chopper exclaimed. “Eggs and toast!”
Sanji quizzed Chopper on his preferences and hurried to the stove, throwing the toast into the four-slotted toaster and running to the fridge to get out the eggs.
“Make sure you have all your stuff,” he said to Chopper and Zoro, yawning. Chopper double-checked his backpack and Zoro went to his room to get his work bag. Chopper sat at the table, resting his head in his arms, and Zoro went to the door to get the daily paper. He carefully moved the chess set from the kitchen table to the living room coffee table and sat, grabbing his reading glasses from the other end of the kitchen table and opening the paper, reading the headlines.
“Here,” Sanji said, giving Chopper his breakfast: A scrambled egg with ketchup and salt, and a toast slice spread with jam. Chopper dug in while Sanji handed Zoro his two scrambled eggs with Tabasco and salt and toast slice with butter. Zoro folded up and set down the newspaper, rubbing his temples, and started eating. Sanji ran to his room and came back shortly, hair combed and in different clothes.
“Don’t forget your lunch this time,” Zoro said idly as he ate.
“These are really good,” Chopper said, his face full of egg.
“I won’t,” Sanji snapped. “And thank you, Chopper. You guys want anything to drink?”
“Wine,” Zoro said.
“Oh, so you won’t let me even look at the wine cabinet, but you’re so special you get to have---? Absolutely not. No alcohol until you’ve had something real to drink. Do you want water, orange juice, or milk?”
“Tea. Green.”
Sanji smacked his forehead. “Right, we have---okay. Chopper, what about you?”
“Milk,” Chopper said, finishing his breakfast. Sanji poured him a glass and grabbed a teabag from the cabinet. While he set up the tea, Zoro stood and went to the fridge, grabbing something and going outside. He returned soon with nothing and sat down again, working on his toast. After turning on the heat for the kettle, Sanji grabbed a piece of bread for his breakfast and started eating fast.
“You know how long to let it steep for, right?” he said to Zoro, swallowing and wincing.
“You’ve only told me about a hundred times,” Zoro said. At Sanji’s skeptical look, Zoro sighed. “Let it steep for two minutes, then check it by tasting every thirty seconds to see if it’s done.”
“Good.” Sanji finished his bread. “C’mon, Chopper.”
“Bye!” Chopper called, grabbing his backpack and following Sanji out the door. Zoro waved and finished his breakfast, keeping an eye on the kettle.
“Sorry about the rush this morning,” Sanji said as he drove. “Falling asleep at the table isn’t usually a big deal, but I usually wake up in my bed, or with a pillow under my head and a blanket over me . . . I guess I didn’t sleep well because of that.”
“So, you mean, someone gives you a pillow and blanket, or carries you to bed?” Chopper asked.
Sanji took a hard right into the parking lot, and then a hard left into a spot. “We’re not married.”
“Okay,” Chopper said with the same skeptical tone a suspicious parent uses with a child. “Thanks for driving me!”
“Yeah, yeah, have a good day,” Sanji said. “If mossy doesn’t come by to get you around the same time as yesterday, just keep waiting and one of us will show up.”
Chopper nodded and hopped out of the car.
Though Chopper did have to wait longer, Zoro eventually wandered by the school again and made a beeline for the pickup area. He found Chopper sitting on the ground, knees pulled up to his chin.
“Hey, you,” he said, kneeling. Chopper looked up. “Ready to go back?”
Chopper nodded and stood, grabbing Zoro’s hand.
“Bad day?” Zoro said as they walked. At Chopper’s nod, he said, “Want a piggyback or shoulder ride?”
Chopper held up two fingers and Zoro scooped him up, placing him on his shoulders. Chopper held Zoro’s head and Zoro held his ankles and they went the rest of the way home like this.
“Welcome back,” Sanji said, turning his head to look at Zoro and Chopper. He winced and turned back, wincing again. “You guys have good days?”
“I did,” Zoro said, kneeling to let Chopper down. Chopper ran to the bedroom and shut the door.
“He didn’t?” Sanji asked in a low voice. Zoro nodded and shrugged. Sanji sighed. “Any dinner ideas?”
“He likes sweets,” Zoro said.
Sanji smacked his forehead, wincing. “Oh, my god. Kids love desserts. How did I forget that? Do we have any cake?”
“You are way too stressed,” Zoro said, glancing at his bedroom door. “Aren’t there recipes for . . . single-serve desserts?”
“Yeah! Yeah, I’ll make him a lava cake,” Sanji said, nodding. “Gotta make sure I have everything. But, he can’t have just that for dinner. How about soup?”
He pulled out his heavily-annotated recipe book and flipped to the soups section, finding a good vegetarian one for tortilla soup and slamming it on the counter. The bedroom door opened and Chopper shuffled out, already in pajamas.
“You don’t wanna go to bed already, do you?” Zoro said. Chopper shook his head. “Okay. Any homework?” Chopper shook his head. “Wanna finish that chess game?” Chopper nodded. “Cool. Let’s get started. Dinner’s gonna be soup.”
“Hey, Chopper, do you like spicy things?” Sanji called. Chopper shook his head. “Gotcha.”
Zoro carefully picked up the chessboard and brought it back to the kitchen table, where he and Chopper sat, staring at the pieces. Chopper reached for his paper and double-checked that it was his turn before looking back at the board, frowning.
Sanji served them soup as they finished, with Chopper pulling out a victory at the end. Chopper grinned and patted the table in excitement, and Sanji raised an eyebrow at Zoro in approval, noticing the obvious way Zoro could have won by the way the pieces were arranged.
“Thanks,” Zoro said, taking his soup and blowing on it. “Good job, Chopper.”
Chopper clapped his hands to his cheeks, smiling and wiggling in his seat. Sanji returned to the counter where his own bowl of soup was, and slowly started eating it in between grabbing ingredients for the dessert.
As he finally put the cake into the oven, he finished off the last of his soup and turned around to find Zoro and Chopper doing the same. He put away the ingredients and tapped Zoro’s shoulder. “Clean up. Chopper, we’ve got a jigsaw puzzle somewhere around here, do you wanna give that a try?”
Chopper nodded and waited, kicking his legs and holding his hat to his head as Sanji went into his room and Zoro stood to get the dishes. Sanji came out a minute later and went into Zoro’s room, emerging soon with the puzzle box.
“Why was this in your room?” he said, irritated. Zoro shrugged without turning around, and Chopper hopped down from the table, kneeling as Sanji placed the box on the floor. “You wanna do this by yourself?” Chopper shook his head. “Okay, wanna start now, or wanna wait for Zoro?” Chopper held up one finger. “Let’s do it.”
Zoro joined them soon, and then Sanji had to stand when the oven beeped. He returned with a piping hot lava cake on a plate, presenting it to Chopper, who stared at it and then stared at Sanji, his mouth open and eyes wide.
“Wait till it cools down,” Sanji said. Chopper tried to bring a bite to his mouth regardless and quickly brought it down again, sucking in cool air through his lips to soothe his tongue. “C’mon, what did I just say?”
Chopper smiled, ducking his head and returning to the puzzle. The pieces were about halfway put together when Sanji noticed Zoro staring at him.
“What?” he said, moving his neck and wincing.
Zoro got behind him and placed his hands on Sanji’s shoulders, rubbing deep circles into the tissue. Sanji hissed and closed his eyes, fingers twitching and then falling into his lap, the puzzle a fruitless endeavor for the moment. Chopper glanced up at them, shrugged, and continued the puzzle on his own.
“Get my neck more,” Sanji muttered. Zoro moved his hands up, using his thumbs to massage the back, and Sanji sighed, shoulders losing tension.
Zoro finally released Sanji when the puzzle was finished and the lava cake was gone and so was Chopper, having left to brush his teeth. Zoro got Chopper’s dish and went to wash it, and Sanji closed up the puzzle box, deciding to leave the completed puzzle on the floor for the time being.
“Night, asshole,” he said, yawning and rubbing his now headache-free temples. “We’re not married.”
“Definitely not. Night.”
They vanished into their respective rooms, Zoro always ready to sleep by nature and Sanji ready for an early bedtime to catch extra sleep in a proper bed.
Breakfast was much the same as it had been for the past two days. Chopper decided to try cereal and liked it, even though it was meant for adults, and Zoro tried a mix of soy and Worcesterschire on three eggs. Sanji had had a much better sleep and drove Chopper to school, sending him off with a reminder of, “We’re not married.” The barbershop was busy and the self-defense class was sweaty, and Sanji changed out of his uniform before driving home, and Zoro wiped himself down with a spare towel before walking back. Chopper had had a much better day, and walked along with Zoro, chatting about school lessons and cool beetles he’d seen in the trees.
“. . . And there was one as big as my hand,” he said to Sanji. His things sat by the front door, all packed up and ready to go.
“Beetles, huh?” Sanji said. “You’d get along great with Usopp and Luffy.”
“I thought you disowned them?” Zoro said in surprise.
“I disowned the Vinfucks,” Sanji corrected. “Whoops, don’t tell your parents I said that, Chopper. Luffy and Usopp don’t share that family name, and they’re both on my mom’s side, and she never took that last name . . . so it all works out.”
“Uh-huh. I---”
A knock came from the door before it swung open, hitting the wall. “Where’s my boy?!” came a yell.
“Papa!” Chopper shrieked, running to the front. He was met halfway and scooped up by metal hands that threw him into the air, making him scream again.
“Hey, Zoro!” the man yelled. “Been a while, huh?! How’ve you been?!”
“I’m good, Franky,” Zoro said, grinning. He ducked away from an overzealous hug and said, “Cook, this is Franky, Chopper’s dad. Franky, this is my roommate.”
“They’re married,” Chopper whispered to Franky.
“We’re not married,” Zoro and Sanji said together. “And it’s nice to meet you,” Sanji added, “but . . . you’re the husband of . . . how is that possible?”
Zoro shrugged behind Franky’s back while Franky frowned and said, “What? Anyway, car’s out front, we can probably get all this stuff ourselves. Thanks so much for watching him. You have a good time, buddy?”
“Yeah!” Chopper exclaimed, clinging to Franky’s aloha shirt. “It was fun! I wanna do it again, but I wanna see Mama first.”
“I bet we could do a playdate sometime,” Franky said, looking between Zoro and Sanji. They gave confirming nods and he grinned. “Great!” He scooped up Chopper’s suitcase and gave Chopper his backpack. “You got everything? Let’s go home!”
“Bye!” Chopper called as Franky carried him to the front door. “Thank you!”
Zoro and Sanji gave their goodbyes, smiling and waving until the door shut.
“What a great kid,” Sanji said. He went to the floor, kneeling to put away the puzzle. “So, what do you want for dinner?”
Sanji bent over the crossword puzzle at the table, frowning. Zoro was curled up on the couch under a blanket, watching an old samurai movie.
“Hey,” he said to Sanji. “Put that away for tonight and get over here.”
“I’ve almost got this,” Sanji muttered.
“Come on, this is a good movie.”
Sanji rolled his eyes, setting down the pencil. “Fine, asshole, just shut up.” He came over and joined Zoro under the couch, stealing half the blanket from him and scooting closer so they could share.
“We’re not married, by the way,” he said eventually.
“Yeah,” Zoro said, bringing his legs up onto the couch and leaning into Sanji, who leaned back. “Definitely not.”

Take My Hand
Theme #2 & #3: First “I love you” + First Date Rating: T / 14A (alcohol use) Pairing: Zoro x Nami
The heat made him so sleepy, but Zoro knew that he’d be skewered alive if he dared to take a nap now. Still, he couldn’t help but yawn as he wandered along the beach, lazily looking for that pesky navigator of his.
The one who would be the one skewering him if he didn’t enjoy this little vacation of theirs to the fullest.
After she had spied a beach on a puny little island, Nami had demanded that they drop the anchors of the Thousand Sunny and take the time to appreciate a day or two for just the Straw Hats. There was a small discussion amongst the crew to see if it was something everyone wanted to do, and normally, Zoro knew that he’d be the first person to upset the vote by telling them to carry on. The man he had become since the separation was more goal-oriented, more focused than ever before and a stop at a random beach was completely unnecessary in his mind.
However, he couldn’t stop thinking about that kiss.
The other night had rattled him more than he could ever let on, especially when he had assumed that he could convince himself it was all a drunken dream. Maybe it was because she was more of a woman now than ever before; her shape had matured into an hourglass, almost as if she merely needed some time to become a fully realized interest for him. It was a strange feeling, knowing that he suddenly saw a member of his randomly formed family as attractive, even more so when she was one of the first people to join!
It was something he needed to get a handle on, and fast, as he spied her staring out at the sea without a care in the world.
The sun had begun to set off in the distance, with the light of its dimming rays setting off the orange tint in Nami’s hair. Things he had merely seen at face value were now suddenly aspects he adored about her, including the way that her bikini top looked only like a strip of turquoise fabric that was twisted in the middle of her chest. The same twist seemed to sit on the tops of her hips, making Zoro assume that it was the style of the entire swimsuit. Not the type she’d normally wear, but then again, he knew he wasn’t behaving the way he’d normally behave either.
“Oi.” He called out to her before she could notice his approach.
Nami turned to look at him, tucking her windswept hair behind her ear so that she could see him clearly. Her smile was small but it was enough to strike a chord he didn’t know his cool heart still possessed. “Hey, is everyone back on the ship?”
“That dumbass cook wanted me to tell you dinner was ready.” No he didn’t, but Zoro was always willing to make Sanji look worse in Nami’s eyes, and she would be rather disappointed if they returned to the Sunny without something ready for her to eat.
Huh, maybe he had been interested in her for longer than he originally thought…
“That’s fine, I’m almost done.” She sighed, her eyes somewhat hooded as she looked back at the sea. Someone unfamiliar with Nami might assume that she was sad, but Zoro recognized that withdrawn gaze as an indicator that she was still working while trying to stay engaged in their conversation. Always the cartographer, the navigator, her personal goal of mapping the entire world sometimes preoccupied her the same way training overcame him. He had always respected her dedication so it was something he rather appreciated seeing, when she would lose herself to charting something new.
“What’s left?” He wondered aloud, nervous once the words left his mouth.
“Huh?” She asked, eyebrow cocked, her eyes less foggy than before.
Carefully, he took another stab at carrying on with their conversation. “What else do you have to do before you come back to the Sunny?”
For some reason, his question made her grin at him in that familiar Cheshire-like way. “Why? Are you going to keep me company while I walk around the shore one more time? Make sure I don’t get taken out to sea?” She was clearly joking as she motioned to the calmest tide he had seen in forever.
But her attempt to brush off his kindness didn’t bother him in the slightest. In fact, he calmly shrugged his shoulders and made his way to her side. “Sure.” Was all he was going to say in responsejust in case he shared more than he was ready to yet.
Nami was visibly unprepared for his company at first, but it eased him rather quickly to watch her turn and face the rest of the beach with him without so much as a peep. Step by step, they began to wander along the sand in the direction of the sunset, his hands in the pockets of his swim trunks and hers slightly out at her sides. She was walking rather slowly but he didn’t care what pace they moved at, so long as he had some time alone with her to determine just what it was he was feeling.
“I’m surprised you’re not asleep somewhere.” She called him out on his lazy behaviour without any remorse, as if his gesture to wander with her didn’t warrant him any of her favor.
Knowing he couldn’t argue with her assumption, Zoro mumbled, “No point sleeping now, when dinner’s on the table.”
“That’s true.” She said in an almost sarcastic tone, possibly disbelieving of his explanation. Whether she accepted it or not, Zoro wasn’t about to start an argument with her right now. Was that more out of character for him than anything else he was doing at that moment? Probably, but he wouldn’t let that disturb the confidence he gathered to be alone with her.
Besides, if he didn’t follow her back to the ship, he’d probably be the one carried out to sea.
It was easy to stay with her when he was intent on figuring out what it was he felt now, after that late night kiss they had shared not too long ago. Nami was acting like she didn’t remember what she did - crawling up his body and stealing his lips with her own - and even though it bothered him somewhat, Zoro knew he needed to figure out what it was he was dealing with before harping on her for playing the fool--
He noticed it before she did: a sea urchin being washed up on the beach by the supposedly gentle tide. Would she notice it in time while she was studying her steps? Why would he take that risk, when he could guarantee her safety then and there?
His hand flew out of his pocket and snatched hers up, grabbing hold of her so swift he managed to tug her out of the way. She did stumble somewhat - his habit of acting out before communicating his intentions a rather bad habit of his - but he’d never let her fall, and he hoped she’d recognize him for his chivalry instead of his roughness.
When she tossed her head up to look at him, there wasn’t a glimpse of anger on her face. No hatred, no hint of being put out by his sudden grab of her hand. No, she forced her expression to remain solid and blank, but he could see the surprise in her eyes.
She did remember their kiss, and she was just as confused as he was on what they were supposed to do about it.
“Didn’t want you to get hurt.” Zoro’s voice was so tender, he had never even knew he could sound so soft. It slightly embarrassed him to appear so corny in such a still moment; they remained still, caught in a moment where they said nothing but so much passed between them. Awareness, realization, some fear and uncertainty, all lying beneath a type of excitement that he had never known before in his entire twenty-one years. Something had happened when they kissed before and now he knew that she was just uncertain as he was.
To someone as emotional useless as Roronoa Zoro was, he felt like the fact that she hadn’t run scared from him as a love letter in its own way, a confession that he felt rather than heard.
Nami implied she felt the exact same way when her words sounded as if they held a double meaning, “Thank you.”
“Messed up what you were doing?” He felt a responsibility to ask, taking the spotlight off of what they were trying to keep a secret and return both of their attention to her unexplained charting exercise.
For some reason, his question made her smirk. “You usually do.”
“Huh?” That wasn’t the answer he was expecting.
Tugging on his hand, she refused to let him out of her clutches - like she had initiated their hand-holding and was in control of them now - as she started to casually stroll along the beach. He caught up to her in a mere two steps, just in time to hear her try to change the subject. Feigning exhaustion, Nami proclaimed, “You’re always causing some kind of trouble for me! Whether you’re distracting me from my maps or getting lost, you have a talent for messing me up.”
His mouth was open, ready with a protest! However, he realized something while formulating a response: it was her kiss that ‘messed up’ their relationship, that dug up all of these feelings he had for her. After that, he couldn’t look at her the same and even though he had no complaints about it, it was ironic for her to accuse him of anything when their relationship was surely changing right before their eyes.
Maybe that’s what love was for them: instead of saying anything, they’d just keep messing with each other as a sign of affection.
Zoro stifled a chuckle as another thought dawned on him too: perhaps a stroll around a random beach could count as a first date, since they couldn’t seem to get anything right in terms of love.

Yes. Hello. I have a prompt :D So, ZoSan, ANGST and the lyrics from Insomnia by IAMX ♥
Hiiiiii!!! Thanks for the ask, sorry it took a bit longer. I actually finished like three days ago, but I wasn’t satisfied with it so I wanted to change, but I just can’t. I struggled a lot with that one, but I hope it’s fine >_>’ (It’s less angst than you probably expected, because... ahem... I forgot you had asked for angst until halfway through the fic? :D)
I have no idea when it’s set, so that’s up to the reader :p (oh, and rather sexual themes ahead, blame the song.)
Insomnia by IAMX
Zoro hadbeen lost for more than half the day, now. He would never admit it,but he knew how lost he could get, and this time was no exception. Hewas usually okay with it, because he often met someone on the way. Onsome occasions, he got lucky enough to find a warm body.
That, nobodyin the crew knew about. They just assumed that he got lost and walkeduntil he miraculously found his way again. That was fine by him, hewasn't willing to share his sexual experiences, and nobody evertalked about that. Sanji was perverted enough to probably think aboutweird things to do the day he would actually intimately lay his handson a woman's body, but other than him, Zoro didn't really see whowould have similar thoughts to his. Not that Sanji had similarthoughts to him! He was all about gentleness and all about women.Zoro was more about finding someone consensual. And rough sex, ifpossible.
He wasn'teven sure why he had sex like that – it was so impersonal – orwhen he had even started, but he needed it. He thought he could traceback when it had become a need – during another of his countlessinsomnias, he had walked away from the boat, and sex had helped himsleep, even for a couple of hours – but he didn't see the point ofknowing that. The fact was that sometimes, he needed it, especiallywhen he slept less.
He had neverslept a lot, but his sleep hours were now absolutely chaotic. If hehad more than three hours of sleep straight, it was a miracle. Therest of the time, he exercised, or took naps. He spent a lot of timenapping, actually.
But hehadn't since they had left the ship this morning and he could feelit, and all his frustration only reinforced the need he was trying tosmother. If he could just have sex...
Zoro shookhis head, trying to focus on getting back to the boat. It was hislack of sleep speaking. He didn't need it. Did he? He didn't know.
That wasanother side effect of being sleep deprived most of the times: hecould become crazy simply by thinking. Everyone knew that he wasn'tmuch of a talker, and thought that he mustn't spend a lot of timethinking either, but his mind was actually a torturer. He was prettysure that was why he got lost so much, too.
After acouple more hours, Zoro was reduced to muttering to himself as thesun set. Sometimes, he just loathed himself for that. Or maybe hejust hating this bloody deserted island. Would he ever find the boatagain? He wasn't even sure, now.
“Youlost?” a voice above him finally said, and he looked up.
Sanji wassitting in a tree, grinning ironically. Zoro didn't answer as hejumped down next to him, smoking yet another cigarette.
“Itactually took me a while to find you this time,” Sanji chuckled.
“Whatever.”
Zoro wasrarely amused by the situation but this time was even worse. He wasso tired, but he still had that burning need in the pit of hisstomach.
Sanji musthave seen it, because he stepped on his cigarette, and nodded, waiting for Zoro to move.
Zoro hadn'tlied. Sanji and he never talked about sex. He didn't even now when ithad started – he really had no idea this time – but sometimes, often when Zoro really needed it the most, Sanji was willing to givehim what he desperately wanted – sex. They should probably talkabout it, but neither wanted.
It was roughand often quick, but Zoro loved feeling his hands on his skin. Theyfelt soft but he was being harsh, and it felt amazing. He wouldn'tsay – or admit? – that it was the best, but letting Sanji fuckhim left him calmer than he usually felt with others.
Yeah, it wasironic of Zoro to despise Sanji's romantic thoughts about girls whenhe very much liked their sexual activity, but that was how theyusually worked. During that short moment of bliss, Zoro actually feltgood. It never lasted long, and they were always back to almostfighting each other as soon as their pants were up, but it helpedforget. It helped with the lack of sleep, with the racing mind, withthe crazy ideas, with getting lost. It helped with being lost.
He had noidea why Sanji did that, or how he had understood it was an almostbestial need inside him. Or why he kept giving Zoro what he wanted,as it was unlike their relationship. It didn't mean that Zoro neverfound any other willing bodies, of course. They weren't in arelationship, they often yelled at each other and Zoro had to bearhis stupid – handsome – face every day already, he didn't want tobe involved with him. Certainly not in an exclusive thing. But hecouldn't help wonder why he kept coming back to that feeling, whySanji and he kept having sex when they both obviously didn't eventolerate the other's presence at times.
But thenagain, they didn't talk about it, so Zoro shouldn't be thinking aboutit that much.

Stillwater - Chapter 4
Stillwater [Archive of Our Own, FanFiction.Net, Mibba]
Characters: Original Female Character, Monkey D. Luffy, Rorona Zoro, Vinsmoke Sanji, Nami, Usopp, Tony Tony Chopper, Nefeltari Vivi
***
"We build as only children know to build
We made a way where there's a will
No slowing down or standing still
Innocent and reckless
"How did we get so old and never notice
How did we gain the world and lose the moment
Rise and fall, the tide surrounds us
And drowns us all"
-Hands Like Houses
***
If it seems like it’s too good to be true, it probably is, which is why despite the jovial atmosphere of the tavern we were in, I was still wary.
It seemed that Whisky Peak had a certain fondness for pirates, greeting us with cheers of celebration when we first arrived. We had barely set foot on solid ground, when we were met by the town’s mayor, who immediately offered up booze, food and smiles. I admittedly hadn’t spent much time in Paradise, immediately, starting my way back home after I had been beaten by my father, but none of the islands I had landed on before had ever been this happy to see pirates, not unless the crew in question was their protectors.
Something was up. I mean they were even fawning over Usopp, going along with his blatantly obvious lies. However, none of the possibilities that I had come up with were too much for the crew to handle, so I kept my mouth shut and plastered a smile on my face, opting to just go to the flow. As far as I could tell, nothing that we had been given had been poisonous yet, so I figured we might as well get our fill, while we could.
“You’ve been nursing that mug for a very long time. Go ahead drink up,” one of the guys sitting at the bar urged.
“Not everyone can drink like you Boyd, especially not a little girl.”
I looked further down the bar at the man, who had spoken. His tone was mocking, patronizing.
I glared at the man. I had little patience for men like him. Over grown gorillas, who liked to pick on those that they perceived to be weaker than them.
“I’m not some little girl,” I snipped.
I was so far from it.
“Uh-oh. You’ve pissed her off,” the original guy, Boyd, said chuckling.
“How old are you?” the second guy asked. “Fifteen? Sixteen? Are you even allowed to drink?”
I cursed my appearance. Usually it worked in my favor. I was plain, which allowed me to blend in, and unassuming, which kept people from seeing me as a threat, but it was a double edged sword. It made people think I was weak and naive.
“I’m nine-h-“ I stopped.
‘Fuck.’
Years at home had spoiled me. I was free to be myself in the safety of my friends and family. I didn’t have to worry about keeping up appearances and false pretenses. For short periods of time, it was fine, but extended periods like this were proving to be exhausting.
“-teen,” I grumbled the latter half of the number.
The pair laughed.
“I can handle my liquor better than anybody else in this bar,” I declared.
“Oh really?” Boyd smirked.
“Really.”
“Then I guess it’s a good thing that the mayor is about to annoyance toast competition.”
I followed his eyes to the mayor. “We had an excellent grape harvest this year. To celebrate that harvest, our traditional toast competition!”
Everyone cheered.
“Make a toast take a drink. This continues as long as you can hold your liquor. Last one standing is the winner.”
“I’m gonna feel real bad embarrassing you boys like this. After all, you’re about to be drunk under the table by a little girl.”
“Mira, you’re competing too?” Nami asked when I walked over.
“Gotta show these two how it’s done. I thought you weren’t drinking.”
“Weren’t you paying attention? There’s money involved,” Zoro explained.
“Ah.”
“Then let’s begin!” the mayor announced, raising his mug. “To our new friends!”
We went around, people making a toast after toast downing drink after drink. We didn’t start losing people until four.
My two challengers were both in the running still. I could tell that they were feeling it. Guy number two more so than Boyd. I was perfectly fine, but had to keep appearances, so I swayed and stumbled and slurred my words.
Nami and Zoro were both holding their own pretty well too. From the looks of it, they were just getting started.
Nami toasted to money, not surprisingly, and Zoro to becoming the world’s greatest swordsman. That took out guy number two and brought the toasting to Boyd.
“To my victory,” he slurred.
I snorted, finishing off my drink and being handed another, my turn. “To the future king of the pirates,” I said, looking at Luffy, who was downing food faster than the cook could prepare it.
Twelve took out Boyd. He collapsed to the ground.
I looked down and smiled. “I’ve made my point,” I said, setting down my thirteenth, before I had to drink it. “I quit.”
“I can’t believe you’re quitting,” Nami said. “Pansy.”
“Last thing I want, is to have to listen to you bitch, cause I won the prize money.”
“You wouldn’t win,” she called, as I turned.
“That’s what you think,” I shot back.
It was down to her, Zoro and a nun. After the thirteenth mug, it was just Nami and the nun. I didn’t watch, instead, stumbling through the crowd and out the door, but I would hear, Nami’s shouts of victory, once the nun went down.
Luffy was down as well, stomach blown up the largest that I had seen. Sanji I was pretty sure was love drunk surrounded by a crowd of pretty women. If the color on Usopp’s face was anything to go by, he was pretty far gone as well.
I stumbled outside and around the side of the building until I was out of sight of the townspeople. Once I was in the clear, I dropped the drunken act, and climbed up the building until I was on the roof, where I laid and basked in the moonlight.
Eventually the party died out, and the air became still and quiet, the only sounds being that of the ocean lapping on the shore in the distance and the snores coming from the people passed out inside.
A short while after everyone passed out, the quiet was broken by the mayor. I crawled over to the edge of the building to get eyes on him.
Now I could figure up what was with him and this weird town.
Our two strays were there as well, sitting directly underneath me.
“They’ve worn themselves out partying and are fast asleep. Sweet dreams, brave adventurers. My how the cactus rocks gleam under the pale moonlight. Beautiful as ever.”
“If I may say, your poetic skills are beyond compare, Igarappoi- I mean Mr. 8.”
‘Of course,’ I thought dryly. ‘More of the dumb numbers.’
“So where are they?” Wednesday asked.
“They’re falling... Straight to hell.”
I almost wanted to laugh at how dramatic this guy was being. I mean really? Take us to hell? Between that and the gleaming rocks, this guy was starting to sound like my cousin after he had a little too much wine.
The trio was joined by the nun, who removed her habit, revealing a short pink and white checkered dress underneath.
“Damn. My head is killing me. Our guest didn’t have the good taste to pass out gracefully, so I doctored they’re drinks a little, or else they’d be up all night drinking us into oblivion.”
If that was spiked with something, then I hated to think of what they’d been drinking before. Grape juice.
“So tell me was it really necessary to put on this elaborate show for those idiots?” the nun asked. “I get that no one wants to hear me whine, but it’s my duty to point out the amount of food we’ve wasted, when we could’ve just ambushed them at the harbor.”
This was a trap. No surprise there. I was under the assumption that they were after our supplies and treasures. It wasn’t like we were rolling in gold or anything. Nami probably was, but as far as pirate crews go, we were pretty broke.
I wasn’t really sure what the bounty situation was on board. After all the fuss that had been made over Luffy in Logue Town, I figured he had one. Maybe Zoro, but I doubted the others were worth anything. If it was worth the effort that they’d put into this party farce, then Luffy had to have one hell of a bounty.
“We’re already short on supplies. It’s not like anyone had high hopes for that whale meat or anything.”
Mr.9 puffed up defensively. “Why don’t you go try to kill that damn whale? We tried our best.”
“Both of you calm down. Before you question the validity of my plan, why don’t you take a look at this?”
The mayor, Mr.8, whatever, pulled out a wanted poster. Luffy’s smiling face was printed on the page. I checked the number below it. ‘Thirty-million, before he even made it to the Grand Line.’ That was a pretty respectable number, well worth the effort they’d put in so far.
Too bad it was all going to be for nothing.
The nun and the strays balked at the number. “THIRTY-MILLION BERRIES?!”
“For those morons?’
“Don’t be foolish. Appearances can be deceiving. That goes for-“ the mayor cleared his throat and performed a vocal exercise. “That goes for all of you.”
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s no matter. Our prey has been trapped, and that’s news the boss will enjoy.”
“That’s what you think,” I mumbled.
I hadn’t been with the crew for long, and I had only seen them in action once, but that was enough for me to know that these guys didn’t have a chance.
I wasn’t the only one, who had been playing drunk earlier. I could feel Zoro approach that cursed blade of his giving him away.
I glanced back at Zoro. “What? Can’t sleep now, because you were out all day?”
“Ha ha,” he deadpanned. “This place gave me a bad vibe.”
I nodded. “As it should. They’re going to raid the Merry and cash in on Luffy’s Bounty.”
“So what do we do with them now?” Ms. Monday asked.
I was wondering the same thing about the people below.
“I thought it was something like that. I guess I’ll take care of this, since you guys dealt with all that weather crap earlier.”
“Oh how chivalrous.”
He rolled his eyes at me.
“Kill them?” Mr.9 asked.
This time it was Zoro, who scoffed.
“If they die, the bounty drops thirty percent. The government prefers to hold public executions. Now go. I want them alive.”
“Hey, sorry to interrupt. You mind letting my friends sleep? They had a long day and the journey was exhausting, so I’ve been told.”
“Hey Mr.8, Ms. Monday, one of them escaped from the room, when we weren’t looking.”
‘Well well well, if it isn’t Boyd and that other guy.’
“Ugh. He’s right over there.”
“Sneaky wretch, you should’ve stayed asleep with your friends.”
“A good swordsman never makes the mistake of letting his guard down. Plus, I took a nap earlier. Judging by the scowls and cheap disguises, you’re all bounty hunters, whose specialty is robbing drunk pirates, who fall for your hospitality. It’s original. I’ll give you that at least.
“I count a hundred of you scum bags give or take, and I’ll fight all of you. You hear me, Baroque Works?”
It was helpful having a name for the organization. We had a concrete enemy now, someone specific to fight.
Well Zoro had someone to fight.
Everyone down below freaked out.
“How do you know our name?”
“I was in a similar line of work once upon a time. Your company tried to entice me with a job offer. Naturally, I said no. Do the same rules still apply? Employee identities kept secret, cheesy code names, the boss’s identity and whereabouts also a mystery? Baroque Works, the criminal group that faithfully carries out their orders like herded sheep. That’s some secret.”
“This is a surprise. If you know all of our secrets, then we are left with no other choice than to kill you, and another gravestone will be added to the cactus rocks tonight.” The mayor guy chuckled darkly, before issuing the order to kill Zoro.
Before any of them could move, he’d moved, appearing in the midst of their ranks.
I sat up right, so I could watch the show.
“It’s her!” Boyd yelled.
“You have a lot more to worry about than a little girl,” I informed them, pointing out Zoro.
He grinned. The bounty hunters drew their weapons and fired at him, but he was too fast. Instead of hitting him, the bullets flew into their fellow Baroque Works agents.
The mayor was getting frustrated, but even more evident, he was worried. He was beginning to sweat. The muscles in his neck were tense. His eyes were wide and flicking back and forth wildly.
“Incompetent morons, they just shot each other.”
“Yeah and the pirate got away.”
‘Way to state the obvious.’
The mayor turned around to bark out another order to his minions. “Just kill him! He’s only one man.”
Zoro’s blade slid through the idiot’s hair, glinting in the man’s peripheral.
“Ask yourself. Will one grave stone really be enough?”
“There he is!” The bounty hunters aimed their weapons at Zoro and by extension Mr.8.
All semblance of calm and control was out of the widow at this point. He screamed at the men to hold their fire, to keep him from being shot. He pulled out a saxophone of all things and blew into the instrument, causing it to shoot bullets.
Zoro ducked, avoiding them, before vanishing once more.
A few flew up towards me, but I dodged them with ease.
“Your friend isn’t going to make it through this, and once we get him, we’re coming after you,” the mayor said.
“Cause that’s going real well for you right now. You don’t even know where he is.”
He shot at me once more, but I jumped out of the way to another rooftop, down through a window inside. No one as home, seeing as the whole town was hunting Zoro. They ran into the first floor, while I hopped out of a side window on the second and into the adjacent house.  I exited out of the back door of that one, putting some distance between myself and the bounty hunters, before taking to the roof tops once again.
Zoro said he had this, so I was gonna leave it to him. Now if Boyd and his friend ended up in my path, well then maybe I would join in on the fun.
I caught site of the swordsman from my newest perch. He was having himself a grand old time, slicing through the bounty hunters, knocking them off of ladders, cutting holes into the ground for them to fall into.
Ms. Monday swung a ladder at Zoro, which he barely dodged. She slid her brass knuckles onto to her fingers.
“It was a good effort, swordsman, but there is no man, who can best my strength.”
‘Why should he get to have all the fun?’
“What about a woman?” I asked, jumping from my perch. My foot nailed her elbow, the impact, causing her to release Zoro. I wrapped both legs around her neck, and threw myself back, flipping her over, so that I landed on top of her, my legs pinning down her arms. She tried to fight out from underneath me, to push me off, but despite her advantage in terms of actual size, I had more strength. I raised my fist and drove it into her face, knocking her out.
“You still a little groggy from that nap earlier or something? Letting her get the jump on you.”
Boyd and the other guy charged at me from behind. I ducked the wire that they held between them and grabbed them both by the back of the shirt. I grabbed the wire, pulling it from their grasps, slicing my hand in the process, before slamming Boyd into the other, the impact strong enough to toss them both off of the roof.
“I could’ve handled that,” he said.
“’Thank you, Mira.’ ‘Oh you’re welcome, Zoro.’”
There was something about teasing Zoro that was just so much fun. I mean he made it so easy. He left himself wide open. It was even better because he didn’t have an argument for anything that I had said so far.
“Yeah yeah, I told you I got this.”
“Alright then,” I backed off. “Go ahead. You got this.”
Zoro strode over to the edge of the building, gazing down at the Baroque Works members below.
“Is that all you can offer Baroque Works?” he asked. “Cause you’re gonna need to do a lot better than that.”
I sat on the edge of the building.
Zoro carried a cursed blade. Initially, I had thought that that was the source of the dark aura that seemed to radiate from him, and it was, to an extent, but there was something else. There was something coming from within him. It was dark and violent. It was demonic almost.
It wasn’t noticeable earlier, but now it was. That sword of his, despite having sliced through over ninety people, hadn’t been satiated yet. It was still thirsty, begging for blood, and so it seemed was Zoro.
Mr.9 explained Baroque Works’ ranking to us. I think it was supposed to intimidate us, but neither Zoro nor I were impressed.
“I’ve found that fancy titles mean nothing, when it comes to fighting. The strongest wins and that’s that.”
The mayor fired at us with that stupid saxophone of his once more. I shuffled out of the way to the side, while Zoro, jumped up a level.
Mr.9 pursued him, while Wednesday whistled, calling her duck.
I raised a brow. “That’s your trump card? A duck?”
“Are you kidding me? A duck?”
“You get distracted so easily,” Mr.9 said, standing atop a belfry. “How can you hope to follow my acrobatics?” He began back flipping down towards Zoro. “You better prepare for my bloody bats!”
Zoro easily blocked his attack with one of his swords.
“You better be careful not to chip your precious blades.”
Zoro sheathed one of his swords.
At this point, Zoro was just toying with Mr.9, forcing him to go on the defensive and backing him up to the end of the building, which he wasn’t aware of. He attempted another one of his acrobatic moves, but ended up jumping off of the building.
“Is this really the best they can do?”
“There’s better. I’m still here. Are you ready, Mr.Bushido? Now, enjoy my perfume dance.”
Wednesday lifted her arms over her head and swayed back and forth. The fragrance of her perfumes choked Zoro out and brought him to his knees.
“Good boy,” he cooed. “And now, peacock slasher! Now Carue!” she hopped on the duck, and charged at Zoro.
Her weapon was a unique one, wires with a small jewel at the end of it. I had no doubt that they were effective cutting weapons, especially at the speed she was swinging them around.
Too bad the duck wasn’t as effective. He blew right past Zoro, and straight towards me. I quickly got up and pushed off the roof, jumping onto the building across the street. They fell of the building into a pile of junk on the side of the building.
They mayor’s saxophone sounded off, a barrage of bullets aimed at Zoro. Zoro cut a hole in the roof of the building, disappearing into the building below.
Mr.9 jumped out of the pile of debris he had created upon landing. He produced a chain from his bat, using it to tie up Zoro’s arm.
“Watcha gonna do now, tough guy?”
“Kick your ass,” Zoro replied easily.
I snorted.
“Excellent work,” the mayor commended.
“Come on, Mr.8, kill him now. You won’t get away!”
“That’s right, don’t move,” Miss Wednesday said. She had a machete in hand aimed at a still engorged, still sleeping Luffy. “If you even think about doing anything foolish, Mr. Bushido. Your friend here will be paying the price.”
“You idiot. Can’t he at least wake up, when he’s being held hostage?”
Mr.9 cackled with glee.
It had been fun and games up until this point, mostly, because these guys were kind of like gnats, annoying, but essentially harmless. This was different, because Luffy was asleep, oblivious to the danger he was in.
“Foolish is taking a crew’s captain hostage,” I said, standing up.
“Ah ah ah.” She wagged her finger. “Take one step off of that building and your precious captain meets his maker.”
I stayed still. I just had to bide my time
“Well done Ms. Wednesday. It looks like there will be no escape for the swordsman this time, unless he wants his friend to die.”
Mr.8 pulled at the strings of his neck tie, exposing the gun barrels hidden in his curls. “Firing squad ready!”
“What?!” Zoro yelled, caught off guard.
He yanked the strings further, the barrels firing. “Igarappappa!”
Zoro yanked on the chain, pulling Mr.9 with it, putting him between Zoro and the bullets.
Ms.Wednesday was shocked by this, which gave me my opening. I hopped off of the building and knocked the machete from her hand, before hitting her with a kick to the mid section, that sent her flying backwards.
“Duck!” Zoro yelled. I did as he said, hitting the ground.  He threw Mr.9, using him to take out Carue, sending them both into the same crater that I had hurled, Ms. Wednesday.
Mr.8 fired again, but Zoro managed to evade it. He used Luffy as a trampoline, jumping up and slashing at Mr.8, taking him out of commission.
Luffy lifted his head, opening his eyes. “Where am I?” he asked.
I shook my head and chuckled. “Just go back to sleep.”“
“How’d I get outside?”
I didn’t have time to respond, before he was out again.
I looked up Zoro, who was sitting on the roof of the building.
“I got say I’m impressed. Your skill with your blades is amazing, especially wielding a cursed sword. That’s even more impressive.”
“You can feel it too.”  It wasn’t a question, just an observation.
I nodded anyways. “Have you had it long?” I asked.
“Only since Logue Town.”
“It must’ve been there a long time. Its thirst for blood is strong.”
“Must be why it was being so disobedient.”
I looked at the carnage around us. “It’s only a matter of time, before they send some more. We should probably get out of here.”
“Meh, let ‘em. Everyone needs the rest. If they come, then I’ll just have to cut them down.”
Zoro seemed pleased at the prospect.
I shrugged. Based on what I could tell, he was first mate. No one really used titles on the crew save for when it came to Nami and Sanji.
He took a large swig from his bottle.
“Well then, since you have everything under control here, I’m going to head back to the Merry, make sure they didn’t steal or break anything.”
“You should get some rest. You worked just as hard as the other earlier. If you push yourself too much, you’re gonna burn out.”
I nodded at him. He was right. Plus, I was more than ready to go to bed. I had gotten my fill of crappy booze, entertainment and food. Sleep sounded great.
“I’ll see you guys tomorrow,” I said, heading towards the Merry. “Good night, Zoro.”
“Night.”

Jinbe is one of my favorite characters so it's a must to hear those headcanons of his you have, if you don't mind!!
Right now, I love you so much, anon.
Of course there’s no problem!! These headcanons are Jinbe already part of the crew. Mi mind is completely invaded of Jinbe already part of the crew (I’m not sorry). Honestly, when I decided to write my ideas I couldn’t stop writing so it’s kinda long…
He is a big fan of Sanji’s food, he won’t show it at all but it’s the best food he has ever tasted.
He thinks Sanji’s hands are a blessing for this world. Who doesn’t??!!
Guess who is the new guardian of the lil’ bro trio!!! He can’t just stay there watching how Chopper is almost eaten by a shark or Luffy almost falling to the ocean.
His favorite place: the aquarium.
Until he discovered the reason why it exists.
Jinbe loves listening Brook playing his characteristic music, he always loved good music and wanted to learn to play an instrument but he never had a chance.
Brook wants to teach to play any instrument, but Jinbe’s too shy to try.
Jinbe teaching the karate gyojin to Zoro and Chopper? OH YES!!
A swimming competition: Usopp vs Brook vs Jinbe.
Zoro was the referee.
He is a great friend of Nami and Robin, he can’t believe there are reasonable people in the crew??!!
He won’t admit it, but Brook’s jokes are his favorites.
Franky loves him because Jinbe is amazed with Sunny. Telling him is the best work he has ever seen!
Also, he knows about Tom, becuuse he was a great admiration to all the fishmen!!
Dads drinking coca together? YESS!!
(Jinbe will help training Sanji in private, it’s a secret shhh)
Nami gave him a tangerine one time. She didn’t say anything but she was smiling and he never knew why.
Law said to him “Good luck, man”
(Law respects him tbh.)
Luffy was incredible happy when Jinbe joined the crew.
The first two weeks, Luffy hugged him everyday.
Jinbe gives the best hugs.
He once time hugged Zoro, because he was the only who hasn’t gotten a hug from him.
Don’t show him that Luffy’s fishman drawing, he’ll feel insulted.
He likes Zoro’s hair.
He likes Sanji’s eyebrow.
He told them. Adding, that it’s original and unique. None said anything, but they felt so good. He’s the first person to say something nice about it.
Chopper always asks him about his other crew and he’s always happy to talk about them!!
Usopp also feels secure with Jinbe, so now he has three persons he can rely on (Zoro, Sanji and Jinbe).
Jinbe always smiles to Usopp and Chopper so they can feel good when they’re in danger.
Robin loves Jinbe’s kimonos.
Robin’s dark humor scares him a little bit and he tries to hide it but Robin knows.
He loves Robin’s flowers.
He likes romance books and Robin thinks he’s adorable.
Robin recommends him her favorite books about it.
Unfortunately most of them end in a tragedy…
One day, he admitted that he’s impressed and admired all the Strawhats because of their abilities and original intelligence, they’re so different and make a great family.
Everyone cried that day.
He hides his money from Nami. (Zoro’s advice)
He protects Zoro everytime they arrive in a new island (Everyone’s advice)
He gives the excuse of accompany Zoro that “he looks lonely”.
Then became very normal seeing them walk together.
Zoro approves him as a man.
He takes care of the Den Den Mushi, haha.
He tried to pass his hand through Brook’s body… it didn’t go well.
He is against of Sanji smoking but Sanji’s an adult so he can’t say anything.
Now, Sanji tries to not smoke when Jinbe’s close.
He is always attentive when the lil’ bro trio touches Franky’s nose for three seconds.
He does like Franky’s hairstyles.
Franky gave him a wig (he has done it with everyone, so…)
He knows the sign language. does it exist in the OP world??!
He smiles every time Luffy smiles or laugh, reminds him the conversation he had with Ace.
He once time saw Zoro falling to the ground while doing exercise. It’s a secret between them.
He doesn’t understand why Zoro and Sanji fight too much, when they are a really good team.
He haven’t said it to them yet, because it may cause a war.
Chopper makes him feel like a Granpad, and he loves that feeling.
It’s too normal seeing  Chopper sleeping with Jinbe, tbh.
(*cof* Zoro is kinda jealous *cof*)
He couldn’t believe the Strawhats had a “Epithet Contest”
He won that contest.
He believes Sanji (2nd) should’ve won.
Luffy felt betrayed (he is 9th) but he felt better after knowing Zoro was the last place.
He likes Sanji’s “fashion sense”.
He likes rain.
He supports art.
He can’t believe Usopp’s drawing skills.
“How can Zoro sleep so much???!!!” He thought, the first time he saw him sleep.
Finally, Jinbe is so proud of them.
