Julian and Keiko headcanons because Keiko gets sidelined so much and deserves the world and I wish we got to see them interact more

when they get stumped on their respective projects, they'll do late night work sessions together and bounce their research off each other to see if the other can help them figure out where the problem is. they'll do this in person when theyre both on the station, but also over call if one of them is away, and after the O'Briens move back to Earth

they edit each other's papers (Keiko marvels at Julian's ability to spell out complex chemical compounds with his eyes closed, and somehow use 'their' instead of 'there') (in his defense he wrote that bit at 4 in the morning after going 2 straight days without sleep) (she threatens to sedate him)

Julian sometimes brings back plants from planets they explore in the Gamma Quadrant and gives them to Keiko. sometimes he does it because the plant has medicinal properties and the two of them can do a joint research project, but most of the time he does it just to give her a nice gift

when Miles goes away for particularly dangerous missions, Julian will keep Keiko company and help keep her mind off of it. sometimes she has trouble sleeping because shes so worried, so he'll hang around and start rambling on about whatever he's currently working on until she falls asleep. he jokes he's boring her to sleep, but it actually means a lot to her

they have a weekly tea date. this is their prime gossip time. sometimes Jadzia is invited

when Keiko's mad at Miles she'll rant to Julian about it. Julian learned very quickly that this is not a time where advice is wanted, so he sits back and lets her get it all off her chest, because she really just wants someone to listen and let her blow off some steam

Julian makes a concentrated effort to learn more about plant husbandry and care after the incident where he accidentally killed some of Keiko's prized plants because he actually does feel very bad about it

Julian hovered over Keiko nearly as bad as Miles did when she was pregnant with Kirayoshi (and then he hovered over her even more after the pregnancy transfer, and he wouldnt tell anybody why, but Keiko knew it was because nearly losing her shook him up pretty bad)

when Julian gets outed for being augmented, Keiko goes to him and gives him the tightest, warmest hug he's ever gotten in his entire life

Julian gets invited to girls nights with Keiko and Molly (steady surgeon's hands make him the best one to paint nails) (he pretends to complain but he loves it)

anytime Julian has to go away for a scientific conference of any kind, if he gets to bring someone with him, his first choice is always Keiko

Did…. Did anyone bother to tell Stiles that Allison is alive?  are we meant to believe that nobody did?? or what’s worse, that he was told and he just didn’t come to Beacon Hills or call or anything?

On that note, are we actually supposed to believe — and I am not a Sterek girlie by any means, love and light to y’all but it’s just not my cup of tea — that Derek fucking DIED and there was a whole ass memorial service that Stiles just didn’t bother to show up to???? HELLO????

I mean it’s also nearing levels of ‘spn finale Dean Winchester ending’ stupid that Derek died in the first place, given that his whooooole character arc (by my book, anyway) is springing from the place of his trauma, and the way that he has blamed himself, struggled with guilt and loneliness and has been atoning for all of the pain of what he perceives to be personal failures the ENTIRE TIME, never letting himself get too close to people, never asking for help, and instead sacrificing for and nurturing Scott as the ideal alpha that he feels he couldn’t be… I don’t know. It just feels like a needless sacrifice to me, like there are so many ways that you can restrain someone and prevent them from moving from the place where you need to. Oh I don’t know burn them alive ?maybe? Which don’t involve sacrificing yourself and burning alive yourself, right in front of your son and the rest of your loved ones. I know again there are production factors at play, maybe it’s likely that they knew damn well Tyler H wouldn’t or couldn’t come back for another movie so they decided to kill off his character?? but suffice to say I was not happy with that at all (and not in the way I think it was INTENDED to upset me.)

Anyway, I know that Stiles needed to be absent because Dylan O’Brien was not a part of this movie, but if I’m being honest, I kind of would rather that Stiles had died ! Obviously I love Stiles’s character and it’s not that I want him dead at all!! it’s just. if they were going to fully send it, and they know he’s not coming back, and they knew that they were going to make up this premonition dream to break up Stydia and (poorly) explain his absence, then it would’ve done a lot better to make that separation as permanent as in life and death. The Stiles we know would never want to be separated from the people he loves as much as he has been now because of all of the external, real life factors. In fact, the season arc with the ghost riders proved to us just how far Stiles can and would go to be present! It was aaaactually a whole thing ! So, if I’m being honest… (1) the way that he and Lydia parted, (2) the way that he isn’t present or even mentioned in the light of his loved ones dying/being resurrected, and (3) again the fact that he wasn’t even at Derek’s memorial … it all feels like a silent character assassination to me. It feels like the mentioning of “Stiles” in this new canon contains less essence of Stiles than it would’ve if he had died. I know it’s easy to have a hater moment and make criticisms and piss and moan about how I would’ve done it better, and I know it’s not always as easy as it sounds… but JESUS CHRIST

He's over you now, a hand curled around each arm of your chair, caging you in. A few strands of black hair have fallen loose from his bun and they brush against your face. The feeling makes you shiver.

I love mentor Tim and his hero kids. He says there’s anywhere between 6 and 27 of them at all times, he lost count. He’s lying. He knows everything about them. He is their cringe mentor who uses vintage memes and simultaneously the coolest person they know

there's a whole plot here i'm gonna write one day about tim mentoring a little gaggle of idiot teenagers <3 they adore him but he's so cringefail and they're like god how is it that you of all people know everybody in the hero community??? you did NOT just say "weirdchamp" tim youre killing us!!!

but the plot of this is a lil idiot teenager outsider pov thing wherein like. this lil squad of teenagers (all very starstruck by superfam btw. they all still think yknow superfam are kryptonians 24/7 and live at the fortress of solitude etc.) are blown away by the fact that tim, rook, their kind of pathetic scrunkly mentor who they love TIM, knows supernova. whoa. they saw supernova in the hallway and he stopped to say hi to tim!!! whoa!!!!

but then supernova just like. keeps showing up?? seemingly, like, just to hang out with tim? and theyre like oh my god wait you guys are fRIENDS???? TIM HOW????

supernova of course finds this hilarious, laughs his ass off, and says oh yeah man, this guy's been my bestie since we were what. fifteen? and tim snorts and says yeah, about then. and supernova elbows him and says what, you didn't tell them ANYTHING about our days of bothering red tornado? and tim says wryly, i didn't want to give them any more ideas.

and so, hero worship or not, supernova showing up to lounge on tim's desk while tim instructs them in hand to hand, or to chatter over tim's shoulder while tim tinkers with a new gadget, or this or that, etc, becomes kind of normal. he's just always hanging out, when he's not busy with his own hero work or away with other members of the superfam, etc. it's wild! they're all so starry-eyed. he talks to them about how cool tactile telekinesis is (and why is tim rolling his eyes??? supernova is right, it's SO cool!!) or about his favorite episodes of wendy the werewolf stalker (man that's old and like, a classic. he's cultured!!!! whoa...)

but they just see him around a lot, is the point. he's starting to become a constant presence, and they get to see how seamlessly he and tim interact.

and it is then. that the gaggle of teenagers starts to suspect something.

they have a feeling--and tim plays his cards pretty close to his chest, of course, but they have a feeling... that tim. might actually be in love with supernova.

(what follows: local bunch of dumbass teens with hearts of gold try really earnestly to set tim up with his own husband. tim doesn't understand why this is happening. kon thinks it's hilarious.)
